Speaker 1 (00:00):
Folks, we are back at the Way concept presented it
by The Ring Magazine, and today we had the press
conference for Jake Paul versus Julio Caesar Chavez.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Junior in the middle of Hollywood.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
I mean it's fitting right the one time Jake and
MVP go to Hollywood, go to my backyard.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
I live in OC.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
I'm out in New York, but you know what, I'm
out in New York because The Ring Magazine has another
blockbuster card, The Ring Three, featuring two main events, Edgar
Berlanga versus Hamza Shariz and Shakur Stevenson versus williams Apeta.
That's a two for one special ladies and gentlemen to
hometown guys, even though Shakur is really from the Brick
(00:36):
City in Newark. But you're gonna see a star studded
event on July twelfth. You don't want to miss it.
Make sure you sign up at the ZONN and use
my code and watch tomorrow because I'm hosting the press conference.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
That's the reason I'm not in town.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
But Jake and Julio Sayser Chavez Junior is set to
do battle on June twenty eighth, and this one is
interesting because it has some of the marks of a
Jake Paul fight. Yes, the guy is older than Jake,
Yes he's out of his prime. We all know Julio
Caesar Chavez Junior is at a up and down career
to say the least. But this is a former champion
and he's not so far out of his prime that
(01:09):
it's as ridiculous as a Mike Tyson thing or any
of that stuff. This will be an interesting test, even
though Jake already beat the guy that beat Julio Saser
Chavez Junior and Anderson Silva. But maybe this is a
different Julio. Maybe he is more focused. Maybe what Julio
Senior has been saying about his son and how he's
locked into camp and he's never seen him train this hard,
maybe that stuff's true. And if it is, how different
(01:32):
does it make this fight for Jake Paul. I don't
have any of those answers. But that's why we do
the breakdowns. That is why we take a look at
the press conferences to see who wins the mental games,
to see who's locked in and who is not. So
let's get to it. Jake Paul, Julio sayser Chavez Junior
the press conference breakdown.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
That is right, guys, Manscape is taking care of your
undercarriage and what's around the chinny chin chin and Father's
Day is coming up. And no matter what you try
to think of for your dad, your partner, or just yourself,
Manscape has got you covered in the grooming department because
it has taken to guess work out of gifting this year,
there's no better time to upgrade your grooming game than
(02:12):
right now with the Beard and Balls bundle.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
You heard me, right, Beard and Balls, and.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
That's going to be featuring this bad boy right here,
the lawnmower five point zero. That's right, the fifth iteration
and it includes the beard hedger. This bundle is the
ultimate two in one gift to look sharp above and
below the belt. And just a couple more details on
this bad boy, the lawnmower five point oh.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
To hear that thing purring like a cat.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Well, it takes care of all of your loose hairs
and it has a beautiful led light that you can
switch through to get some different lighting systems.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
It has sixty minutes of runtime on its charger.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
It's waterproof and reduces nicks and cuts on your skin
by providing a smooth and clean trend. So, like I said,
this Father's Day, it should be a no brainer where
you're looking to manscapes, beard and balls, bundle head over
to manscape dot com and use code Wade fifteen for
fifteen percent off the entire order. That's one more time,
code Weighed fifteen for fifteen percent off.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
When you go to manscape dot com.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Whether it's for Father's Day, a night out the office,
or just a weld room day at home, Manscape has
your dad, yourself or your partner covered from face to ball.
His skin will thank you and so will everyone else.
Thanks to Manscape for sponsoring this video. And now let's
get back into the breakdown.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
He has brought dow eyeballs to the sport, he has
a champion fighter pay, and he has uplifted woman's boxing true.
On Huge twenty eighth, he continues his journey to becoming
a world champion and what could be and should be
his most challenging fight to date. Please welcome the Disruptor,
the Pride of Puerto Rico, Algaio de Dorado, the Problem Child,
(03:51):
Jake Paul.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Before Jake gets on stage, This will be a challenging
fight for Jake, but his most challenging fight today has
been Tommy Fury. Will this be more challenging I don't know,
But Tommy obviously is his most challenging fight because that's
the fight he lost. Now, is this the same Chavez
that fought Anderson Silva?
Speaker 2 (04:10):
We don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
I'm gonna say probably not, based on the things that
I'm hearing that he is actually taking this seriously, that
he isn't you know, struggling with with you know, some
of the substance abuse issues that he has in the past,
and he isn't coming straight out of rehab.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
But will that make this the toughest matchup? I don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Right now, I'm gonna say Tommy Fury clearly. And Anderson obviously,
the guy that beat Chavez Junior, was another tough matchup
for Jake, but he won that one. Why are they
playing smack that when he came. That's got to be
some seventh layer of hair. That's not a shot at
Jake because of the hairline. It's akbe Covington line. That's
got to be some deeper meaning shots there from Jake.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
I don't know what that is been interesting few months.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
You've had some stops and starts since the win over
Mike Tyson. We've heard a lot of different names associated
with your next Flat with your back and you're stepping
into the ring with a former middleweight world champion. Why
was this the right fight for you?
Speaker 4 (05:02):
I think this fight has been brewing for quite some
time now. The fans have wanted to see this, and
I want to continue to elevate and rise my opponents.
And this is a former world champion. He has an
amazing resume, you know, following in his dad's footsteps, and
you know, coming short of course, but this guy is
(05:22):
a great fighter, and I.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Jake wanted to like give him more credit and more credit,
which Jake does a good job of, like say what
you will about his opponent. Selection when Jake is fighting someone,
he gives them their due credit. He doesn't just completely
shit on him, like obviously he does the trash talk
and stuff, but he had to slip some realism in there,
because yes, Julio Saser job As Junior was a world champion,
but it was I think a vacant world title that
he won, or maybe he even was gifted to him.
(05:43):
I don't even remember how he got the belt, but
I don't think he wanted off anybody, and his entire
career was I mean, it's tough to be the son
of the greatest Mexican boxer ever and then try to
live up to those standards. But he didn't live up
to I think think the standards of the pride as
(06:03):
father had not necessarily the talent the skill, which he
does have, but not to that level. I think it
was more just the pride that he took in fighting
and how seriously he took it.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
I want to test myself against the best in the world.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
You heard.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
The experience on this man's resume includes going twelve rounds
with Canelo Alvarenz. How important is it to you to
do what Canelo on that night could not?
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Oh, I knew this was coming, okay, So a big
part I think of why this fight was made. Obviously
it's a good fight for Jake. Like he's eleven and one,
he still needs experience. Whether you think this will be
as tough at test or not. If you don't think
that they booked this fight after the whole Canelo debacle
because they wanted to knock out Chavez, Junior and then
(06:49):
turn and look at Canelo and say, I did what
you couldn't do in your prime. You're out of your mind,
because that's exactly why they booked this.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
This is the.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Perfect way for them to eventually belief they're going to
set up a Canelo Alvarez fight.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
This is the way you do it again.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
Canelo is now with the Ring magazine and he's gonna
have a good time over here.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
We're gonna be doing some fun stuff.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
He's got the Terrence Crawford fight coming up, and that's
a massive event in its own right. The Williams Skull
fight not so great, but at the belt. I don't
know why we needed that anyway, but we have it.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
It is what it is.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
We're here, but you never say never with those type
of fights, and I know Jake and Jake wants that
Canelo Alvarez fight, So this is one thousand percent for
him to try to knock out Chavez. Then get on
the mic post fight interview and say exactly that straight
into the camera, Canelo, I did what you couldn't where
ye at.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Stop Caesar Shop.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
I'm gonna shock the world once again and prove how
good I am, how powerful I am. This is the
toughest fight to date, and I'm gonna embarrass him and
make him quit like he always does. This is what
I came here to do, is become world champion and
to create one of the greatest sports stories the world
has ever seen, going from Disney Channel to YouTube to
world champion in six to seventy.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Someone laughed when he said it, but I mean, listen,
I know the Jake glaze, I know, but it is
going to be a crazy story if he ever does
grab a world title. Now he's sitting across from Zerdo Ramirez,
and I just do not think there's a world where
Jake grabs the belt off him. They put him on
this card for a reason, and I know Jake's a
fucking psychopath.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
He'll believe he can beat him. That doesn't mean he can,
because I don't think he can.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
I think it's delusional to think that Jake could beat
Zordo Ramirez or Jaio Pataia right now.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Maybe Baidu Jack, who's I think forty, but he's holding
the world title. Maybe I'm just saying.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
Suliman just made a world title fight between Manny Pakiao
and Mario Barrios after Pakiao had had five years off
and had lost his last one and wasn't even ranked
until they put him in the rankings of the top five,
just shoved him in there. So if you don't think
that they want a big bag out of a world
title fight, that boxing is more now of a business
than an actual sport in some cases, you're.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Out of your mind.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
I think that might be more realistic than Zorda. Him
being on this card is on purpose. Badu Jack already
has a relationship with Jake and them. I think they've
trained together. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what they wanted.
But no, I don't think Jake's beating Zorda. He didn't
get the question there, but that's I assume what Mannus
asked him years.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
That's the most relatable and best sports story that any
kid can get behind. And that's what I'm here to do,
is inspire the next generation and do what no one's
ever done before in the world's hardest sport, which is boxing.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
You face some hostile environments in the past, and n
ADS fight being one of them, but this might be
the most hostile you've walked into. Southern California, the two
Mexicans on the car. What do you think about fighting
in this type of atmosphere?
Speaker 5 (09:28):
Man?
Speaker 4 (09:28):
The Mexicans love me, bro like I'm stepping into my
home environment.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Is this crazy to say that Jake's most hostile environment
was the KSI Logan Paul one card because yeah, n
Ads in Dallas was a little bit hostile, but not really.
Mike and Dallas was a little hostile, but it was
the stadium, So how could you really feel that? You know,
Orlando was pretty hostile to Jake. The Mike Perry fight,
I remember that one. They bowed him pretty heavy that night.
(09:53):
But I don't know if anything came close to that
Jake Paul Degie fight that night in the UK.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
It might have been the worst one. No comment section.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
They love me more than they love this guy. You know,
Mexico doesn't even claim him, so just the way it is.
And I love my Mexican fans and they've always been
rocking with me since day one.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
And I'm I'm.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
Gonna show him who the real Mexican warriors.
Speaker 5 (10:15):
He's already. Did you know he's still fighting anybody in
his life. You know, he's fighting all my Tysoons.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
And I beat Anderson Silva, who whooped your assick?
Speaker 2 (10:31):
True? Just wanna say bullshit, it's true.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
I mean, granted, yeah, Jake and that mac Tyson fight,
they're gonna use that for sure. But I hope, I
hope and pray that both Junior and Senior don't do
what every one of Jake's opponents do and go, ah,
he's nobody, he's not a real fighter, he doesn't fight anybody.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
He can't win.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
He's a YouTuber, he's a Disney Kid. Because I'm gonna
tell you, underestimating him is the worst thing you can.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
Do, and no one's figured it out yet.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
I mean maybe Tommy did to a agree, But the
guy that don't respect what Jake's done, or at least
give him the respect of I gotta take him seriously.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
They end up on their back. And I'm afraid that's
where Junior is gonna end up if he's not taking
Jake seriously. But I don't I don't know that's the case.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
I just when they start saying stuff like he's fought nobody,
Disney kid, that kind of stuff makes me go, all right,
it's gonna hurt.
Speaker 6 (11:15):
You translate back it's gonna be a good fight.
Speaker 4 (11:21):
Put both the Chavez is in there and.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
He said it was so Seriously, Jake's never beating the
old man allegations. Man, he never like, Come on, dog,
he's joking. I think the he'll move is to go
after Senior for sure, Like that's what a heel would do.
But coming off the mic fight, it just I'll beat
Junior and then I'll beat Senior.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
It's fucking eighty dog. Come on, what are we talking about?
When you were born, I was already a champ.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
Yeah, there's two things you can't beat. There's two things,
you mean and your edition.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Okay, listen the fight game. Everybody can say what they want.
That's a low blow, but everybody can say mean things
in this game as.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Low as it gets.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
But this is a game where disrespect is tolerated as
long as you answer for it in the ring. And
Jake is shown he will answer for it. And again
I like Jake playing the heel role. You kind of
need to drum up some interest for this thing, and
he's better as a bad guy.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
How are you feeling coming into this fight? What is
different about you coming into this fight that we haven't
seen the last couple of years.
Speaker 7 (12:52):
I feel very good. I feel refreshed and renewed. I
didn't get close to the head, so I'm I'm a
lot better than he.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
What do you think you have to do to win?
On June twenty eighth.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
I don't even know if I want to broach this subject.
But I don't know what hurts a fighter's longevity, more
hardcore drug use or fighting. But I would say it's
probably a good thing that Julio has stepped away for
as long as he has, because he definitely had some real,
real tough troubles like and I don't know, I assume
that that stuff sticks with you to a degree.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
Right, I don't know what.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
It affects your brain, affects the way you breathe, effects
the way you perform. It's got to like you can't
it's not just fun candy. Like things don't just go
away after you're done using them. That some of that
has to stick with you. I don't know how much,
but I think we'll find out.
Speaker 6 (13:45):
Second, I need to prepare one hundred per I like
to hear this is an interesting fight.
Speaker 7 (13:59):
It might not be, but you know, I'm gonna do
the best I can to be the best person I am.
But I think I'm gonna take him Jake.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
I imagine that's where you want to like that.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
I like, you know, preparing a hundred percent. Gotta take
Jake seriously, gotta be the.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
Best version of me. I like all of that. Keep
the focus on me. I am going to do the
best I can. Not.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Oh, I could beat him without training, because that's where
guys get in trouble.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
That you know, whatever he's saw him through in the past,
that he's gonna be on his very best on the
fight night.
Speaker 4 (14:30):
Yeah, we'll see you know. And uh, I think it
can be be short lived, but that's not a champion's
mindset to when you get a big fight all of
a sudden you start training hard. I train as hard
as possible, no matter who I'm fighting, And that just
shows you the type of person he is.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
We heard Julio say, hear Jake say that he's gonna
knock you out.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
He's gonna.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Actually like that answer from Jake. I don't even think
he's trolling there. He's not trying to play a villain.
He's right, not that Jake's a world champion, but he
does train his ass off, and that's something that he
can say that Julio never did. Do you want to
say that Jake is as talented as Julio is as gifted,
will ever be as.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
Good as Julio Sayeser Chavez was at his peak.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
What you can't take away from him is that Jake
trains like he doesn't have fifty fucking million dollars.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Jake trains like he's broke. I've seen it in person.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
Julio didn't even have that kind of money, but had
a bit of a cachet in some clout to his
name because of senior, and honestly, you know, when those
big moments came, he shrunk. Jake said there were moments
where he didn't take fights as seriously or didn't take
camps seriously, and then obviously.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Fell out of the sport a little bit. Jake is
right in that respect.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
Champions don't just train hard when they got a big
fight or when they're trying to make a big comeback.
They always do it even when they don't want to.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
What do you think you can do to him?
Speaker 8 (15:44):
On June twenty eighth, Oh, you know your pins, He's
never fed anybody like me, what's my.
Speaker 7 (16:01):
Of course, Mike Tyson went he wasn't even a fighter.
Speaker 5 (16:04):
And then Donke.
Speaker 7 (16:11):
He doesn't know what he's gonna see or what he
can expect because he's seen it and in boxing you
learn step by step. He's missing out many.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
It's not a terrible answer.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
By the way, I just now realized that Junior's coat
is the colors of the Mexican flag and that thing
is fly as fuck. And he's not wrong that Jake
has skipped steps when it comes to the sport of boxing.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
That's clear.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
Jake didn't have an amateur career. He has jumped the
gun and you know, is he fought the best talent ever?
Has he fought what a normal pro would go through
the ranks of No. But as far as the dedication
to the sport and seeing what Jake is seen so far, No,
he doesn't have Julio's experience. Has he seen the level
of Julio, sayser Chabez Jr. Maybe not, maybe because we
(16:58):
don't know where Julio is right now. If we're looking
at Julio based on the fight with Anderson Silva, then yeah,
Jake has seen his level end I think now gone
past it. But if we're looking at Julio closer to
his prime, as more serious and dedicated and clean fighter,
then maybe that level is far better than he showed
against Anderson Silva, and Jake will realize that he's up
against something he has literally never seen. I tend to
(17:19):
think the first portion of it is probably more correct.
I don't think that Julio's best version. I don't think
he can get back to that version at thirty nine
years old and he's fighting I don't know how many
two weight classes up.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
From where he fought.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
And again, I hate to be this guy, but I
sat there and watched him fight tor Ryah Hall, and
he did not look good. In fact, I thought Ryah
Hall was winning some of those rounds. In fact, I
thought he was getting beaten some of the rounds by
Ryah Hall. And it's like, if that guy shows up,
Jake's gonna knock him out. He is going to knock
out Julio Sayeser Chibas Junior. If even that version, I
don't remember what card it was on the Orlando Car.
(17:52):
I think that might if that version the guy that
fought on Jake Paul's Mike Perry Carr shows up. I
think it was the Mike Perry Carr. Maybe it was
the Dallas Card.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
I'm not sure. If he shows up like that, Jake's
gonna hurt him. If he better be a better version.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
And even that guy, I know that was coming off
a long layoff and everything else, but even that guy.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Jake would hurt badly.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
So Julio better be a completely two three four, five
point zero lawnmower five point oh version of that guy.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
All right, Well, looking forward to that fight main event
June twenty eight, Jake Paul, Julio Caesar Shops Junior. As
I mentioned, the co main event is fantastic. Zerda Ramirez
has been on a meteoric rise in the cruiserweight division.
Three fights at cruiserweight, two of them have been world
title fights.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Now that Zorto looks like the mask of Zoro in
that Cowboy Yeah, he looks like a fly motherfucker dude.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
That looks like a bad dude right there. What do
you think of.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
Jake as a fighter, And how would you feel about
a showdown with Jake down the line?
Speaker 2 (18:47):
I mean, he'd be doing a great job what he's doing,
and I mean, he has that good time, and I mean,
if he wanted the belt mightbe one day.
Speaker 6 (18:56):
Right right now is the champion, and I don't know
he had to have the test first.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Zora will being super nice there and saying, yeah, no,
he don't want this, he don't want none of this,
And to be fair, I think Jake does want some
of that, because I think he's fucking crazy. But I
think Zordo knows what I think the rest of us think,
and he's levels above right now.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
But again, Jake has said what he wants. Don't be surprised.
That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
And now we'll bring up the two men in the
main event, which I think is going to be a
terrific fight in the Cruiser.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
I don't know what was said here. I'm gonna try
to get a separate angle. But before we even Julio
Sesar Drivis Junior is saying something three times j problem.
I'm not sure what's going on there, but listen, Julio
fought at one sixty eight in his prime. He doesn't
look super small though for cruiserweight, and we know Jake,
you know, has has built himself into cruiserweight. Obviously he's
(19:51):
gonna be the thicker of the two. You can definitely
see that he'll he'll be the stronger of the two.
And I could definitely see him landing a big time
shot that puts down of his junior.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
But there are other moments.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
That was just the highlights, but I wanted it to
take a look here. For some reason, that highlight package
did not get any of the clips of Julio Caesar
Chavez Senior.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
But look at this one. This is hilarious.
Speaker 7 (20:11):
Jab job at right, and all he's gonna do is run, run, run.
Speaker 4 (20:15):
He will see, he will see this is his toughest
test yet. I promise you that this fight will end
in the same way it always does. I'm gonna turn
you into another meme with your head in your hands,
I promise you.
Speaker 6 (20:29):
Let's see if that's true.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
All right.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
I think it's funny that daddy does all the talking.
I didn't know it was bring your dad to work day.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
You're the Tommy Fury John Fury line. Jake brings it back.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
First off, Senior said he's gonna that Junior's gonna jab
jab right hand, and Jake's gonna be running.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Jake doesn't run a ton.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
He will circle, and he did circle on Tyron Woodley
a little bit. But I think Jake will stay in
the pocket with him. But Jake has found some of
his best knockouts and knock downs in the pocket, standing
toe to toe and looking the counter. So again, I
don't know that there'll be a ton of running until
he gets the layer parts of the fight. Jake does sometimes,
you know, try to extend his gas tank by circling.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
Jab circle jab circle.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
He does, and sometimes back straight up, which is a
bad idea, and then try to circle out. But I
have a feeling that there won't be much running, at
least early on, and then we'll see what happens if
Jake can't get julioseser Chob is out of there.
Speaker 4 (21:17):
Nothing without your dad. You were born with a silver
spoon in your mood.
Speaker 8 (21:26):
You like old man.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
That's why maybe he's like my dad.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
What I don't even know what the context is.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
By the way, Claudia treos is Uh is doing the
translation there, I don't know what the context of what
Junior just said was.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
He's like, yeah, you like old man, That's why I
brought him. Because you like him? How like to fight
him or uh?
Speaker 1 (21:48):
But listen, that's a good little back And for Jake
saying you're a Nepo baby born with a silver spoon,
he's right to a degree. I've as Junior got a
lot of opportunities and a lot of following, and even
you can hear the fans there because of Senior's name,
just like Tommy Fury did because of Tyson and.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
Even sometimes because of John. But none of it matters.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
None of that matters because Jake still has to go
out there and beat him.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
And here was their face off.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Jake pointed the blicky all right, because Jake, you know
what I'm saying, from the mean street.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
To west Lake, so you got that thing on.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
I remember back to when Jake was fighting Nate Robinson
and him and one of the other guys in his
camp were screaming.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
We're from the mud. We're from him sticks, we from
the mud.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
We got it out the mud, buddy, you got your
your tall contruck out of the mud the backyard of
your two story like pulling the blicky out him. Boom,
got Nikisa in the middle. I guess Jake's telling him
he's gonna knock him out, and Julio's giving him the
(22:49):
tumbo fingerwag. I think he's one like either I'm gonna
put you down three times, We're gonna be it's gonna
be the third.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
Round, You're going down third round. Maybe we'll end off
on this.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
Jake says him and Usick are and an MMA fight
negotiations test my skills in.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
The cage, and that's something I'm super super interested in,
and I think it would be a very very big spectacle.
Nate Diez is still ducking.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
Busik has called out Jake multiple times in MMA.
Speaker 4 (23:22):
They've been in touch with us behind the scenes, saying
they want to do that fighting in twenty twenty six,
so it's something that we.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
Definitely want to pursue.
Speaker 4 (23:28):
Is the PFL looking into him, absolutely. I haven't started
any MMBA training, so it definitely be interesting, but.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
We're looking at twenty twenty six or that.
Speaker 4 (23:36):
As a possibility.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
Okay, interesting. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
Usik has said a couple times he wants to do
MMA after his boxing days are over, and he is
from the Ukraine and the Eastern Europeans. You know, they
get down, they get scrappy with it.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
Interesting.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Jake's also said he wants to fight Anthony Joshua in
twenty twenty six, So.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
There's a ton of stuff out there.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
We'll see what happens, but this is the first presser
between Jake and julioseser chabz J. The big takeaways are
that Jake is super confident that he is going to
do what this entire fight was built for him to do,
which is knock out Junior, then call out Canelo and
say I did what you couldn't. Junior and Senior are
both saying that Junior's training harder than he ever has
and there's no chance. Senior said it a couple times.
(24:17):
We didn't even get to see it in the highlight there,
but he said it like three or four times during
the press conference.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
There's no chance Jake's gonna.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
Beat Junior if Junior keeps training the way that Senior
has seen him training. And also there's Zordo Ramirez standing
or sitting right next to Jake with two belts there,
and he's in that co main event versus Dordiko's for
a reason that I am struggling to accept. But it's
definitely real that Jake wants to fight for a world title,
although body Jack is probably the more likely option there
because Zorto is a motherfucker.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
Not to say that body's not just a little older.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
But I don't even know if it's realistic to talk
about Jake as a world title contender, because it's not.
It's not realistic to talk about it. It's crazy. We're
all crazy. It's delusional land. But you guys, let me
know what you think of this fight Jake Paul Julio.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
Sayser Chives Junior.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
It's really gonna come down to this, how much does
Julio's Caesar Chavez have left? And how good is Jake realistically?
Didn't look great in the Mike Perry fight, honestly, didn't
look fantastic in the Mike Tyson fight. But now he's
back down at cruiserweight. Jabez Junior up at cruiserweight. Who
is just more comfortable at this way? Is it Jake's
power and youthfulness. Is it Julio's boxing skill and experience.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
I don't know. I don't have those answers yet.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
I tend to think that Jake's gonna knock him fucking
out cold, and that's crazy to say, but I just
don't think this is Julio Caesar Jabez junior at his
natural weight. I don't think this is him at his prime.
And honestly, I think Jake's better than a lot of
people say. And honestly, I want to see a performance
that shows that Jake is better than he has been recently,
because for a while there he was really up in
(25:41):
the levels. I want to see him go to that
next level. I think he can do it here, But
you guys, let me know, because I don't have those answers.
This is the first press conference the fights on June
twenty eighth. What happens then and only then? In my
backyard in Orange County. Can't believe that there's gonna be
a fight there, But you guys, let me know what
you think about what happens when these square off, and
then and only then, I guess we'll find out
