In nineteen eighty six, Mordecai Venunu, an Israeli nuclear technician,
made two key mistakes. The first is that he flew
to London and began sharing secrets about Israel's nuclear weapons
program with reporters. The second is that he went on
a date. Here's Venunu describing what happened in his own

I bought a cigarette that I saw an American woman
standing there buying as a cigarette. I look at her,

He approached her to start a conversation, and because he
thought this was his idea, he suspected nothing. She was
dragging you into her trap.

No, I was already in her trap.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
After a few dates, she convinced Venunu to join her
for a weekend in Italy. Despite being a whistleblower who
was wanted for treason by the Israeli government. Venunu flew
to Rome with her.

When I entered the house, the door opened and immediately
jump on me. Two people and another woman come and
injected me, and then I lost my conscience.
