Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to today's edition of The Clay Travis and Buck
Sexton Show podcast. Second hour of The Clay Travis and
Buck Sexton Show starts now. This is Buck coming to
you from New York City. My main man, Clay Travis
on vacation this week. He's in the Upper Peninsula of
Michigan having a great time with the family. Be back

(00:20):
with us on Monday. Is you're rolling with me and
the Buck never stops. What can I tell you? We
got a lot to get to here, the Schumer Mansion bill,
some stuff going on there I want to talk about.
First off, we haven't been able to get Mansion to
come on this show, and that would be It's not
like Fauci, where I would be very hard pressed to

(00:44):
completely behave myself. Might get a little like a little
hotter of the collar. The Fouch all of a sudden
made in appearance here. Oh, don't think I'm not gonna
bring up later on on the show that Fauci's now
he's making the masking tour across the country. Every buddy,
you know what will really work, You know what'll be
a magnificent, incredible success if we do intermittent masking. Sometimes

(01:11):
not all the time, mask up between bites, indoor and
congregate settings. All that. He's still saying it, folks, as
if we've all been asleep for two years and I
have no idea what has happened. You even see Biden
when he was given his speech about given a giving
a speech recently? What was this August twentieth, I'm sorry

(01:34):
of twenty twenty one. Pardon me, no, that was up
on Fox. I thought he was talking about al Qaeda.
That just losz Awi hearing. I'm saying the Fox you're
in the background. That was her twenty twenty one. Yes,
Kamala and the Secretary of State with the big masks,
the big black masks on. You know, they gotta be
masked up for the cameras. But people are still masking

(01:55):
up all over the place. Biden, as you know, is
on his second rebound of COVID after Paxlove It. Anyway,
I don't really want to talk about COVID right this second.
I want to talk about the Build Back Better Ish
bill that they want to pass here. They want to
talk about this, and we should they want to pass this.
What's going on here? Harris Faulkner did a good interview

(02:19):
with Joe Mansion right before I came on air with
you at noon Eastern time. And there's some important parts
of this, right, is it raising taxes on people who
earn less than four hundred thousand offs? Is it going
to combat inflation? And here is how some of this
went when Joe Mansion was asked about it. Are you

(02:42):
saying that Mitch McConnell and others and the Senator wrong
about those numbers and that Americans taxes are not going
to go up? Tody on that point, totally absolutely wrong,
totally wrong. And here's the thing. You're looking at it
through political lenses. Look at it through the American I'm
asking I'm just answering questions. I want to answer these
questions because what you're asking and the facts you have

(03:04):
are completely wrong. Telling her she's wrong, now, she pushed back.
Harris pushed back against this and pointed out that groups
that Democrats, including Mansion, in the past, have turned to
and said, see, look at our analysis on this issue, right,
see look at what they say the impact of this

(03:25):
will be. And now they're saying, oh, they're just wrong,
They've got it wrong. What is more likely? Let's just
start from this perspective, because you can always do the well,
my experts saying they're experts, say, and my experts say,
what is more likely at this point with Democrats heading
into an election that will be more of a slapdown

(03:46):
for them than anything we've seen in a mid term
since two thou ten, So in a decade at least,
what's more likely that all of a sudden, Joe Mansion
found some great ground with Democrats. That's just gonna only
raise taxes on the rich and corporations, and it's gonna
make energy cheaper. And you know it's gonna be just

(04:11):
lollypops and fairy dust and unicorns and rivers of chocolate
and great things for you know, that's fantasy land stuff, right,
Remember candy Land, the board game. I used to play
that when I was a little kid, really little kid,
but you know that was a board game. But that's
what's gonna happen. It's gonna be amazing, right, This pill
is doing all these great things. No downside. You always
know they're lying to you when they negate that there

(04:33):
is any trade off. This is a good rule of thumb.
I have a few rules of thumb and politics. One
thing is that anytime anyone tells you that they're doing it,
like Nancy Pelosi loves to say, felly children anytime she
brings the children into it. Trust me, it's not about
helping kids. Usually it's about stealing from productive adults, using

(04:53):
government forest to spend money on things that make Nancy
Pelosi and her constituents feel good and important. Anytime they
say it's for the children, you should be you should
be concerned about it. But also anytime they refuse to
admit that there's a trade off. It's just all good things.
It's just all good things. And if you don't see that,

(05:14):
you're a bigot. I mean an example, illegal immigration. How
is it that I know that Democrats and there are
so many things. How is it that I know that
Democrats are lying to you about illegal immigration? Well, just
think about it this way. Whenever you ask them, hey,
is there should shouldn't we limited illegal immigration to the country,
because aren't aren't there some downsides, resource drains, problems with

(05:38):
you know, additional law enforcement concerns, especially with the drug
trafficking and MS thirteen, et cetera. They go, No, that's
not true, that's not true. It makes us all richer
and wealthier, and it increases GDP, although they don't talk
about gdpeper capital. They just talk about net GDP. It
increases GDP. Meanwhile, in New York and DC, the mayors

(05:58):
of those respective cities are saying, yeah, the illegal immigrants
are actually a big drain on resources here, we need
federal government money. Now there's some cynicism in that too,
but point is they have to admit that there is
a trade off. It would be honest if Democrats said
we need to be an open borders country because we
think that's a moral thing. Because the working class in
America is where the illegal immigrants are gonna go live.

(06:20):
So they're not gonna live in Nancy Pelosi's backyard. They're
not gonna live in Nancy Pelosi's street. And she gets
to feel good about herself, and the rich Libs who
support her and who watch CNN and subscribe the Washington Posts,
they get to feel good about themselves, and yeah, sure
there's going to be some financial trade off for the country.
At least that would be an honest way to frame it.
Same thing can be applied here to the way Joe

(06:42):
Mansion talks about this Mansion Schumerville. First of all, the
name Schumer's attached to it. So that's what we would
call in the poker world. A tell not that I
know anything about poker, or I do not gamble and
I know nothing about it, although that may change at
some point, but I do watch movies and sometimes they
talk about these things. So Mansion is saying that this

(07:03):
is just going to combat inflation, only raised taxes on
the rich people in the corporations, and is not some
boondoggle of spending at a time of high inflation for
the green energy lobby essentially and the green energy apparatus
in this country. That's just not true, right. There's there's

(07:23):
no way, it's not possible. It is not possible for
this bill to just be the things that Joe Mansion says.
So he's trying to sell it. He's in salesman mode.
The reality is that they're calling it the you know,
inflation reduction bill because they know that if anything, people

(07:44):
are looking at what the federal government has done recently
and what it did under Biden, spending the two trillion
dollars right out of the gate when he took office,
and Senate Democrats, Senate or congressional Democrats across the board
pushing that without any Republican support. People understand, hold on,
We're in a time of high inflation, which has come

(08:04):
from government monetary policy, the government running up debt, the
government printing of money and spending of money. And this
is a problem because inflation everywhere, in at all times
is a monetary policy issue. So they're passing this bill
that has a whole lot of spending in it and
a whole bunch of tax increases, and they're telling you
that this is going to fix inflation. Joe Biden a

(08:27):
year ago, Rememberhew's going reduced inflation. Reduce inflation. That's what
he was saying about a three and some would say
actually more like five trillion dollars. They're always playing games
with this, what's mandatory spending, what's discretionary spending? Because they
don't want to tell you what they're really doing. They're
trying to hide it from you. And if we had
a media that was honest, it would be a lot easier.

(08:49):
But the media runs cover for this, and Joe Mansion
knows that. Joe Mansion knows the second that he switches
over and does Chuck Schumer's bidding. Ninety five percent of
the news media is going to be finding ways to
support his point of view, back him up, tell him
how great he is, etc. So that's where we are.

(09:11):
They're clearly not being honest with you, and he a mansion,
wasn't honest when he said weeks ago that he wouldn't
be a part of it. He wouldn't do any of
this Green New Deal spending stuff. It's just going to
be a whole bunch of a taxpayer funded giveaways to
companies that make solar and wind energy inefficiently and at

(09:33):
a very high cost that won't change the energy grid
in any meaningful way. But they're important constituencies for Democrats,
and it also makes the Democrat base feel good about
themselves because the planet won't melt or whatever because of
CO two. So that's really what this is. So you
have to know that they're being dishonest with you. Now

(09:54):
people are saying that there are some hurdles that this
will face, that this bill, which is according to Democrats,
four hundred and thirty three billion dollars of spending seven
hundred and thirty nine billion dollars in tax revenue, including
a whole lot of extra money fur the irs who

(10:14):
audit you. Yeah, that's right. Democrats like to sick the
irs on people, So that's all a part of this.
Now they do have to look at Kirsten's cinema of
Arizona to see if she will go along with this.
I think I can cut to the chase here, we

(10:36):
can skip to the end. She will go along with this.
In my opinion, that is my prediction. I do not
think that kirsten Cinema will be the lone Democrats senator
holding the line against this, just self defeat. It's good
politically for Democrats because it feeds their lunatic base what
they want, and it spreads money around, and money is

(10:56):
power and Democrats want to wield it while they have it.
And I get that. But in terms of what's actually
good for the American people in the economy, it's a
bad idea. It's a bad idea, and the notion that
it will reduce inflation. No serious person who looks at
the numbers and understands politics in America saying yeah, this
is going to really reduce inflation. It's not gonna do

(11:18):
anything on inflation. In fact, there's analysis it says it's statistically,
it's going to have an effect of zero on inflation.
So I think Cinema goes along with this. And remember
at the beginning I was surprised. I thought they were
gonna get I thought they were going to get Mansion
to cave a lot earlier. If you go back and
listen to I think when Clay and I were talking

(11:39):
about this. Gosh, I can't remember that. It's all blurn
together now. But whatever it was that they were first pushing,
was it about a year ago there, pushing Mansion on
the No, it was more like last fall. Anyway. I
remember thinking, Mansion's gonna cave, Mansion's gonna cave, And then
it seemed like he did in I said, wow, saving
the Democrats from themselves with this crazy spending. But well

(12:00):
he ended up caving just a little bit less, just
for a little bit less. Cinema is gonna cave or
she's gonna go along with this. It's not even really
fair to say she's caving, I think, because she hasn't
opposed it. They say that she's reading the bill. There's
some stuff about parliamentary process, the bird rule. They're gonna

(12:20):
be talking about poison pill amendments and stuff that you know,
point zero zero one percent of the American people are
know about and should know about, quite honestly, because you
get really deep into the parliamentary games that are played
in the Senate. Isn't funny we call them parliamentary games.
Of course it's a senate out of parliament. But you
know whatever, none of that's gonna stop this. Democrats are

(12:43):
going to get this thing through. That is how I
see this going. I would be completely shocked. Yeah, there
could be some COVID case that takes one senator offline
for voting for a few days or something. They're gonna
get this thing through. Why, because their power is at stake.
You want to see democrats motivated. Democrats who are elected
office when they are facing the wrath of the people

(13:06):
that they have done a bad job representing in government,
that's when all of a sudden they get really mobilized.
And that's what we're seeing right now. Farmers are sending
out the warning signals there's likely to be smaller yields
of crops, smaller production going forward. It's happening because an
ingredient central to farmers producing large harvests is in short

(13:28):
supply right now. Fertilizer future harvest will likely be a
lot smaller because of these fertilizer shortages. Over in Europe,
farmers are actually protesting new fertilizer regulations. It's gonna get serious, folks,
and as you know, the panic can spread quickly. That's
why you need to prepare today. Go to Prepare with
Clay and Buck dot com. Right now, that's the website.

(13:49):
Prepare with Clay and Buck dot com. You'll say fifty
dollars on four weeks of emergency food from my Patriot Supply.
They're the nation's largest preparedness company, with millions of customers
already well stocked with their food kits. You should be too,

Prepare with Clay and Buck dot com. Welcome back to
Clay and Buck. This is bucked and we're gonna have

(14:31):
Glenn Jacobs of Knox County, Tennessee. He's the mayor. They're
joining us in just a few minutes. Yeah, he is
running for reelection there. Former WWE superstar Kane. Sure you will. Well,
those are who watched WWE familiar with his previous work there.
But he's a very pro liberty, pro freedom guy, and

(14:52):
I want to talk to Hi about what's going on
in his mind right now with both the spending situation,
the mansion bill, mansion humor bill, and then also Fauciism,
which is certainly not done. I mentioned it before. Anthony
Fauci is still making the rounds, and here he is

(15:14):
telling everybody that we still have to be masking up indoors. Unfortunately,
given the fatigue of this country from two and a
half years of this, everyone is tired of it. So
it's very difficult. Super imposed upon an anti vax type
feeling among some, super imposed upon the political divisiveness we

(15:38):
have in this country, which you know, and the social
media misinformation and disinformation, is very difficult to get people
to adhere to common sense public health measures. Notice how
he has to throw in there, just like a slimy democrat,
this term you know, they'll talk about common sense gun measures,

(15:59):
and then you'll say, what's that's not common sense, that's moronic,
that just will annoy law biding people and won't do
anything to bring down illegal usage of firearms. Period known
as a common sense health measures, it's not common sense.
Fauci defended masking up between bites on planes. I want
you to never forget that. Okay, he defended. This is

(16:23):
This is like a person telling you that a raincoat
will keep you dry if you wear it half the
time you're in the rain, or even if you only
take it off. If you take off the raincoat for
ten minutes, you get wet. If you take off the
mask for ten minutes or twenty minutes to eat your food.
By the way, on a plane, you're actually safe. So
it doesn't even make any sense. Period. You're safe from COVID,

(16:48):
safe for a plan than your or elsewhere. But notice
he has not stopped. Remember what Kyle rees says the
Terminator movie about the Terminator that it does not feel
pity or a more and absolutely will not stop. In
this case, it's Fauci. He does not feel pity or remorse,

(17:09):
he does not get tired, and he absolutely will not
stop until you are masked. That's where we are. He
will not stop until that mask is on your face.
He will never go. He'll never think about this at
this point. If he admitted that he was wrong the
whole time, which he clearly was, why would any person

(17:29):
with an IQ that is above that of a toaster
ever listen to him again. So he's never gonna change, folks.
But I just like to point out this is still ongoing.
He has not given up. The government's chief virus czar
to this day under the Biden administration is an evil

(17:49):
commissar who keeps lying to you. Just remember that. We'll
talk to Glenn Jacobs here in just a moment. On
nine eleven, two hundred and seventy seven people were killed
in terror attacks on American soil. You and I will
always remember that day and never forget the bravery of
those who try to violently help on that dark day.
The Tunnel the Towers Foundation has been supporting America's heroes

(18:12):
and their families ever since. When a first responder or
military service member doesn't come home and young children are
left behind, Tunnel to Towers pays off their mortgage to
lift the financial burden and bring their family stability. US
Army specialist Jason Wheeler is one of those heroes. He
re enlisted after nine to eleven, but training, accident and
injuries left him unable to walk. After years of trying

(18:33):
to manage, specialist, Wheeler and his family moved into a
mortgage free smart home that was custom designed for his needs.
Help these heroes and their families join Clay and me
in donating to tunnel the Towers on its mission to
do good in their honor. Donate eleven dollars a month.
That T two t dot org. That's t the number
two T dot org. Welcome back to Clay and Buck.

(18:58):
He is the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, and the
former WW superstar known as Kane. Our friend Glenn Jacobs
joining us now. Glenn, thanks for calling in. Hey, thanks
for having me. But I appreciate it. So when you
hear all this stuff, the back and forth about the
Biden Bill, how it's supposed to they're calling it like

(19:21):
the Reduce Inflation Act, what do you think about that?
As a guy who follows monetary policy closely and probably
is a gast a lot of the time at it. Yeah,
I think it'd be more aptly titled the somehow reducing
Inflation by causing more Inflation Act, because that's exactly what

(19:43):
it is. What causes inflation, a rise in the general
price level. Is printing money, and they're printing even more money,
and the government's spending more money. So the idea that
this is somehow going to reduce inflation is preposterous. And
how are things going? You know, you're you're in what
an eastern eastern Tennessee right in Knox County. I thought

(20:04):
it was so interesting to read this morning that there
are the job hiring I think is slowing a little bit.
There are millions and millions of open jobs across the country,
but I keep hearing from individuals who either work at
businesses or own businesses, who say finding workers right now

(20:24):
is really hard. And more and more people, it seems,
don't want to leave if they have a job, the
job they have because they're afraid of a recession. What's
the economic picture like in Tennessee these days? In your
neck of the woods? Ours is great. We're doing really
well as far as our economies growing and all those
sorts of things. But we experienced that those same problems

(20:46):
with workforce, with inflation. As the county. You know, we
have capital projects that we're trying to do build roads
and buildings and no sort of things, and of course
they're all taking longer and costing more than we project.
So there's there are a lot of issues. Um. And yeah, workforce,
that's something that I think all of us are kind

(21:08):
of scratching our heads about. Uh. You know, there's there's
a lot of jobs out there and great opportunity um,
and high pay rates right now. But so what do
you think's going on with that? Glenn? I keep asking.
I mean I've asked famous economists this and they give
me a couple of different things to think about. But
it doesn't seem like anyone has the answer as to

(21:29):
why it is that demand for workers has fallen, according
to the Walsh Journal here to the lowest level in
nine months. Right. I don't have an answer either. I
mean I wish, I wish that I did. Um. There
are a number of factors. The cost of childcare, it
does hurt things. Um. You know, the fact that I
think that people got used to staying home through the pandemic. Um.

(21:52):
You know the government was paying people to stay home,
which I think was a huge mistake because that basically,
you know, hey, great, you could stay home and can
earn a living. But that's not that's not how the
real world works. But now that some of those welfare
payments have gone away, not all of them though, but
some of them, so it is it is a bit
of a head scratcher of why this is happening. Um.

(22:14):
But as we see the economy contract, you will see
the workforce tighten up, um, you know, which is an
unfortunate way of dealing with the issue. You always want
to have plenty of opportunities for people. But you see,
I talked to businesses just like small businesses that are tired,
say a restaurant, of having to cover every shift, so

(22:35):
they're just done, you know. And I think we'll see
a wave of that across the country as the economy
worsens and slows going forward. Speaking of Glenn Jacob's mayor
of Knox County, Tennessee, and he is running for reelection. Glenn,
when is the election? It is Thursday. Actually, he just
got done with earlier voting here in Tennessee. We have
a two week period of early voting that ended Saturday,

(22:58):
and election day is August was coming up quickly. Top
priorities for you? If you spend four more years as
that mayor in Knox County, what are you gonna get
done for your face? You know? Tennessee is near and
dear to the heart of this show, because obviously Clay
is a board and raised Tennessee, and so I'm I'm
holding up a Tennessee flag in his absence today. Well,

(23:18):
across the country, we're seeing a historic realignment of economic
and political power, and we're seeing folks flee the Blue
States and frankly the COVID tyranny that we saw in
many places. They're coming to places like Tennessee, where we're free,
you know, and the people are voting with their feet.
So one thing we have to do is we're growing,
and we have to be able to deal with that

(23:41):
and accommodate that. And then also I think that when
we look at our workforced our economy, we have to
be aligned with the twin first century, which is an
innovation driven economy. So we have to do some things
with our workforce so that they're they're better trained to
compete in the global economy, which more and more is
high tech economy. Do you think, Glenn, before we let

(24:01):
you go, do you think right before you came on,
we played Fauci telling everybody to mask up indoors again.
And then he'll talk about like the blue and the orange,
and the and the magenta and the chartreuse zones or whatever,
like we're all supposed to pay attention to these color charts,
about when we're supposed to mask are in you're a
part of Tennessee. I mean, are people just done with

(24:23):
this or are you still seeing? Because I walking around
a lot of masks here in New York City. I
think people are done with it here. And Fauci is
an example of a bureaucrat who got power and just
doesn't want to relinquish it at this point. And I
think more and more people are seeing through that people
should be allowed to make their own decisions. And certainly,

(24:43):
you know, health health experts given their opinion is one thing,
but people demanding that folks do stuff is something different.
And I think that we've all here in Tennessee have
had enough of that. Glenn Jacob's folks running for Knox
County mayor again, he's in office, run for reelection. Get
out there, and vote. Glenn, appreciate you joining us man
as always, thanks, thank you so much. My Friend's Legacy

(25:07):
Box gives you the simplest and safest way to digitize
all of your aging videotapes, camp quorder tapes and film
reels so they are preserved forever. That magnetic tape used
in VHS and camp quorder tape was only made to
last ten to twenty years. It's starting to degrade already,
and that's if it's stored in optimal conditions, which is
very rarely the case. Right the back of your closet

(25:27):
with dust and moths and whatever, that's not optimal. Digitizing
your old media now stops that fading and preserves your
recording so they're safe forever. Right now, Legacy Box is
running a nine dollars tape sale. The regular price is
twenty five dollars a tape. Now you can get it
for nine dollars a tape. Never been a better time
to convert your entire VHS collection or whatever media types

(25:51):
you have that need to be brought up to date
with digital. When you send your videotapes the Legacy Box,
every cassette is digitized by hand at their production facilities
to see actually in Chattanooga. A million and a half
families in America have already trusted Legacy Box with their
family movies. Get started with Legacy Box for just nine
dollars per tape. There's never been a better time to

(26:11):
take on this project. Visit legacybox dot com slash buck
to shop this nine dollars per tape sale Legacy box
dot com slash buck to get this special offer. We'll
come back in a second here. Talk about the border.
It is a mess. It is wide open. Attorney General
of Arizona gonna tell us what's up. Welcome back to

(26:33):
clay Anne Buck. This is Buck and the border still
a mess. Goadaway numbers are stratospheric border patrol just trying
to do their best every day, but overwhelmed with a
situation that is really the creation of the Biden regime,

(26:53):
which is to incentivize illegal crossing, to make it very
likely that if you come illegally, you can get in
and once you're in, you're definitely going to be able
to stay. That is the cost benefit analysis for people
breaking our laws at the border. We've got the Attorney
General of Arizona with us now, Mark Bernovich is also

(27:15):
running for a Senate seat in Arizona. He's part of
that primary. A. G. Bernovitch. Good to have you back, sir, Hey,
thanks guys for having me on. So what is the
latest from I mean, because you know, the American people
care about the border. They understand that with a Biden
regime that is sending people via plane all over the country,

(27:36):
that illegals coming across the border aren't just an issue
for border states, but clearly you're seeing it on the
front lines. What's the latest. Well, as we've discussed before,
every state is a border seat now because America is
being overrun not just by the cartels and the migrants,
but by the lefty radicals who have taken control of

(27:58):
Biden's presidency. And we're seeing the consequences of that every day.
Whether you want to measure it in terms of more
than three million people that have illegally entered the country,
whether it's the eight hundred thousand gataways, whether it's the
record amount of sentinel flowing across our border just this
fiscal year more than eight thousand pounds. Guys, that's enough

(28:18):
fentinol to kill the entire United States potentially. So every
state now, and then you throw on top of it,
you know, people on the terror watch list. This actually
has the notorious distinction of maybe Joe Biden's worst ineptitude
and really has put him in a class when you
measure what's happening with our economy and what he's done

(28:40):
to see control of our southern border of the cartels.
Is the greatest threat to America right now is the
Biden presidency. And one just example of this hypocrisy that
I pointed out, you literally have immigrants coming across the
border that are unvaccinated, and meanwhile, someone like Novak Djokovic,
you know, one of the great tennis players in the

(29:01):
history of tennis and the number one ranked tennis player,
can't get into the United States to play a sporting
event in New York. That just demonstrates how crazy and
out of touch Joe Biden's policies are. And it seems
like no matter what the numbers are, there is no
effort at the federal level to try to make the
situation at the border better. In fact, from what we've

(29:22):
seen in recent months, states like Texas and Arizona have
tried to supplement the let's say lackluster border security efforts
of the federal government, and the Biden regime basically says,
don't do that, right, I mean they won't even it's
not just that they won't do the job and make

(29:43):
it really hard for border patrol to do their jobs.
They don't want anyone else to help out. Yeah, And
that's the problem is that I've actually issued I issued
the first opinion in the country saying that what's happening
in our southern border constitutes an invasion. And I urge
people to read that. Because the federal government is that
it's depex of power when it comes to national security

(30:04):
and border security. And there's been case laws, including cases
out of Arizona, where the Supreme Court has said when
it comes to enforcing border it's up to the Feds.
But but the US Constitution provides that the federal government
guarantees a federal form of government and that we are
supposed to be protected against invasion. And so when states

(30:25):
are invaded and the federal government won't do its job,
then states can step in and do something, you know,
erect barriers, you know, arrest and detain people that are
part of that invasion. But here's the problem. Literally, states
like Texas and Arizona are spending hundreds of millions of dollars.
And it's not fair because this affects not only Arizona
and Texas, but it affects the entire United States, whether

(30:47):
it's people on the terror watch list, whether it's the
record amount of drugs coming in, or whether it's the
millions of people I just mentioned three million people that's
like the entire population of Kansas just since Joe Biden's
been president that has come over illegally United States. And
Joe Biden is not only giving them hotel rooms and
the toughest choices whether they want a single or double

(31:08):
bad but he's also given him airfare and he's given
him access to government benefits. So we are paying the
cost not only out of our taxpayer dollars, but we
are paying the cost in human lives and human treasure
as a result of the failure of Joe Biden to
do his job in secure border. Speaking to AG Attorney
General Mark Bernovich of Arizona, he's running in that Senate

(31:30):
primary as well on the Republican side in Arizona. So
it is today voting day. By the way it is,
I would remind people to get out and vote, and
we need a principled rule of law. Conservative and folks
like Mark Levin and Sean Hannity endorsed me because they
know I'm the guy that can beat Mark Kelly. By
the way, I wanted to ask you about this as
a piece earlier in the Washington Post talking about Yuma

(31:53):
and the illegal immigrant situation. There they talk about quote,
the polyglot qe in Yuma of what athorities call give
ups presented a jarring contrast to the wild chase is
happening about three hundred miles further east along the border
under a blazing afternoon sun in Nogalis a day earlier,
young men from Mexico climbed to the border wall every

(32:14):
few minutes. But it goes on and on to effectively
talk about people just turning themselves in. Just they walk
up to border patrol and they say, this is in Yuma.
Hey here, we are take us in. What happens now,
Just so everyone understands. If someone waves down border patrol
and says, okay, I'm here to surrender, which just means,
you know, basically, bring me a sandwich and water and

(32:34):
process me. And I've seen that happen. But in Arizona
right now, what happens next? This is literally what's happening
in our southern border. And I've been there, I've seen it.
I just actually was talking to the mayor earlier today.
I've talked to the ranchers farmers down there. So you'll
have groups of migrants come over with their backpacks, with
their persons, with their carry on luggage. I mean literally,

(32:54):
you will get more of a hassle going through the
airport at TSA than people that are legally entry unt
right now, So groups of migrants come over, Border patrol
will go over, they process them. Then as they process them,
they'll take them out of the field, and then they'll
take them over to you know, ICE flash dhs for
processing where they basically are given paperwork and told to

(33:15):
report somewhere and then they're let out into our country.
And so one of the lawsuits we have is that
ICE will not pick up people that are being released
from custody and they have deportation orders. There's more than
a million people right now deportation orders that ICE is
refusing to deport that are just being released into our community.
And then we also know while border Patrol is out
of the field processing those individuals. The cartels then are

(33:39):
having the smugglers and the coyotes, you know, bring across
drugs and you know, all all sorts of feting, all
methanthet I mean, all that stuff. While border patrol is
busy processing people that have broken the law to come
into our country. So the Biden administration has incentivized and
decriminalized people breaking the law. And as they're doing that,
as the agents are busy processing them, the cartels take

(34:02):
advantage of it and literally they're smuggling the drugs across.
And that's why you're seeing an increase in high speed
pursuits and other parts. You know, you mentioned Agallas and
other parts of you know, places like Coaches County, even
in Panell County, which is just north of the border.
Because in the cartels are using that opportunity to bring
in massive amount of drugs in our country and they're
not It's not staying here in Arizona. This is method,

(34:25):
said Amine Sentinel Heroin. It's who comes here in Arizona
and then it's distributed throughout the country. I want to
ask you also just with the upcoming midterms, I know
you're you're up today for the primary for a Senate
seat in Arizona as a Republican, But going into the
midterms in general, how is Arizona looking you think for
the GOP overall. Obviously got a lot of attention to

(34:47):
the last election cycle, a lot of it not good.
But how do you think it's trending right now? And
what are some of the dynamics that you think will
play out for the Senate seat you're running for, but
also any congressional seats that are up, and of course
the governor's race. Well, look, in the Senate race, I
think we all recognize that Mark Kelly does not represent

(35:08):
Arizona values. And you know, I'm someone that's actually won
twice statewide. I got more votes than Cinema McSally in
twenty eighteen, even though I was outspent, And so Arizonas
have a long history of rejecting self funders, and we
also have a long history of you know, splitting ballots.
So that's why in twenty eighteen, for example, you had

(35:29):
me winning statewide and Kirsten Cinema also on statewide, where
you had a Republican governor winning, but then the Secretary
of state went to the Democrats, and so Canadates do
matter in Arizona. But I always say that when you
have people that can articulate, stand up and defend conservative values,
we can win. And so we have that long history,
that long streak here of Arizona of you know, that

(35:51):
Barry Goldwater, you know spirit of healthy distrust to the
federal government. You know, we believe in federalism and we
believe in freedom, and candidates that can articulate in defend
those values can win. And I think that's as I
said in twenty eighteen while before I let you go, Mark,
I's got to ask you, if you're talking about it
a minute ago, is Cinema gonna go along with this
mansion Schumer Billy, any doubt in your mind about that?

(36:16):
I have no idea. I mean, I think that it's
sad that Mark Kelly goes along with Chuck Schumer ninety
seven percent at a time and Bernie Sanders nine out
a ten times, which, as I've said you guys before,
even Bernie's wife doesn't agree with them nine at ten times.
I am not sure. I am not sure what she's
gonna do, But I think if she does, what's right
for Arizona. She has to reject a bill that is

(36:38):
going to massively increase the size and scope of the
federal government. That's gonna thank you, Sir ag Mark Vardovich.
