Speaker 1 (00:33):
All right, So if.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
You're just getting in your car Thursday edition, maybe you're
just driving around lunch break somewhere across the country. In
the first hour of the program, Ron DeSantis joined us
right off the jump to discuss his presidential candidacy with
all of you. Of course, that was announced last night
on Spaces with Elon Musk. It did not go flawlessly,
(00:58):
as many things on the Internet often do not, but
DeSantis has been making the media rounds and talking to
everyone about why he believes he is the best candidate
to represent the Republican Party in the twenty twenty four election.
I'll play a cut from DeSantis on with us in
the first hour of the program. That ties in with
the conversation we just had with Julie Kelly here in
(01:20):
a moment. But we also want to be fair to
both sides. Throughout the course of this process. We've been
saying that it's going to get nasty, that it's going
to be a bare knuckle brawl, and we are officially there.
Trump fired back at DeSantis about an hour ago. Here
is what he said.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
Listen, when the Randa sanctimonious facts come out, you will
see that he's better than most Democrat governors, but very
average at best, compared to Republican governors who have done
a fantastic Jeb. How about the fact that he had
the third most deaths of any state having to do
with the China virus or COVID. Even Cuomo did better.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
He was number four.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
He shut down everything, including the beaches. Other Republican governors
didn't do that. They kept it open. It was their choice.
I gave them all their choice. And look at Disney
and what a message is. Could have worked out an
easy settlement, but no, he wanted to show the fake
news how tough a guy he is. He's got and
(02:20):
the whole Disney thing is really very unfortunate. Now thousands
and thousands of jobs are being stapped and a lot
of people are very upset about it.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
So I've thought for a while, Clay, that Trump is
going to have a problem here with his COVID narrative.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
He's going to have a problem with it.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
Because, well, let's start with this, He says, Rohnda Santis
had the third most COVID deaths. Florida is the third
most populous country state in the country. So what we
found out is that COVID all the restrictions. Basically everyone
got COVID. Old people were at risk from COVID. End
of story. Masking did nothing, lockdowns in nothing. So to
(03:01):
say that that Florida came in third is not really
to say anything in terms of aggregate deaths because it's third.
He said, Cuomo came in fourth, Right, what's the fourth
state in terms of population, New York State.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
It's even worse than that, though, Buck, because if you
draw down and look at the demographics, Florida has way
more old people, correct, and we know COVID overwhelmingly impacted
old people. I don't have the numbers right in front
of me, right now. But I believe on a per
capita basis, when you factor in age, Florida actually drastically
(03:37):
outperformed Mini states, And so that argument's not accurate. And
here here's the problem that I have as well. I
was a New Yorker during COVID. I now live in Florida.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
During COVID, I would go to Florida because of what
was happened. And that was when Trump was president, was
when I started doing this. I would go to Florida
to escape the madness. And I had that tweet and
that about how it's the closest thing that you could
have as an American for leaving East Germany for West
Germany was leaving New York for Florida during COVID. A
(04:07):
lot of people saw that and they said, oh my god,
it's so true, because it was true, and you know,
I don't. It's frustrating when you're gonna make if you're
gonna make arguments that require people to suspend what they
obviously know to be true, it's demeaning. You can make
arguments about all kinds of things, but to say that
(04:27):
Florida wasn't a good place during COVID, I would have
to say, oh, yeah, all those times when I talked
about how Florida was opened and how great it was
and how different it was, I guess I must have
been delusional or must have been lying. Not gonna do that.
Will not bend over and lie for any political candidate.
This attack is not landing. There are attacks. I'm not
saying Trump doesn't have a path. I'm not saying Trump isn't.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Great or what.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
But this attack to me, I sit here, I'm like,
what this is like?
Speaker 4 (04:53):
The this is like when he said Florida sucks. We
all remember that Florida sucks. And then I would just
sit here and say, guys, he lives in Florida, as
does his entire family, and they left New York to
live in Florida. And he's telling you that Florida sucks.
Are we all supposed to say, yeah, Florida sucks.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Is that is that? Really?
Speaker 4 (05:10):
What is that the expectation? I just wonder, at what point, like,
what's too much debasement of the of the mind, of
cognitive processes before we realized there's some arguments that are good,
some arguments that are bad. He's modifying it because he's
saying he's better than Democrat governors now, because I think
initially he was like he's not even a good governor period.
And here's what I would say.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
April of twenty twenty, most politicians in this country failed
on COVID right, everybody kind of panicked. March of twenty twenty.
I was in Florida because I've lived in Tennessee. Buck,
I said, when my kids' school shut down. I turned
to my wife. I said, our kids are not going
(05:53):
back to school for the rest of this year. She
was like, what are you talking about you It's like, no,
they're not going back. Let's go to Florida. We have
a place in Florida, loaded up the kids, took them
in the car, drove down to Florida late April. Spent
the entire month of May in Florida and Buck. I
remember this in particular. DeSantis opened everything back up early May.
(06:15):
Write everything in particular. I went to a Mexican restaurant
down on thirty A and on Sinco to Mayo. That
was right when everything was opening up. I took my
family in. We went in the restaurant, we ate indoors.
I remember I took a video of that posted it
because my argument all along was I'm telling you what
(06:37):
the data shows your family. If you have a young
family like I did, not at risk the comments on
me posting a video of us going out to a
restaurant my whole family in May on Cinco de Mayo
in twenty twenty, everything was opened by first week in
May entire state of Florida. So if you want to
(06:59):
make your attack, DeSantis was not perfect in April of
twenty twenty, and he was not perfect in March of
twenty twenty. That's okay. That's a six week period where
you can attack his response to COVID from the beginning
of May through the rest of his tenure as governor.
No Republican governor of a popular state, because yes, you
(07:20):
can say, oh, well, South Dakota or North Dakota never
shut down. Okay, that's a very different dynamic than what
goes on in Florida. That's a loser argument. Otherwise I
would also say this, I think Trump's wrong on Disney.
When I'm out and about the Disney's now the fifth
most polarizing brand in America, Buck DeSantis is right on
(07:40):
Disney as it pertains to the Republican base, and I
think this looks like cozying up to big business for Trump.
I don't think that that video that he put out
is an effective attack. There are lots of things I
think he can say about DeSantis.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
This is not it.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
When he says this, you know, DeSantis isn't ready for it.
It's not his time. I've been in the job, I
have the experience. I know how to fight the deep state.
They can't stop.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
You know.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
There's all these things, But it seems.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
To me that there's almost a little bit of an
obedience test going on here with I'm going to tell
people that DeSantis was bad in Florida. This is like
if Trump said that he was better at baseball growing
up than Dedysantis. Am I supposed to say that's right?
Am I supposed to? I mean Trump didn't play baseball
at a D one college, So am I supposed to
go along with it because he says so. I mean,
(08:26):
at some point we have to establish there's going to
be some ground rules here for what reality are.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
We living in.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
There are so many areas, and that he releases the
day after this, I mean, if I'm wrong, I really
am fascinated if I'm wrong on this one about why
attack on the issue of Florida. If the argument's going
to be, well, DeSantis wasn't perfect. You know who else
wasn't perfect?
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Donald Trump.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
I spoke to him in the Oval Office in May
of twenty twenty. You know what I was there to
talk to him about. Well, one, cleaning up the intelligence community. Two.
I said, sir, please, we've got to make sure this
lockdown stuff never happens again. Now what he said is
I'm going to leave it to the States. Then Biden
of course came in and it was you know, federal
policy top down. Yeah, right, There was more that could
have been done. And I remember when Trump was criticizing
(09:06):
kem for opening Georgia too early. This is a matter
of fact, then we can go back and check it.
So on the COVID issue, I mean, I have to
wonder how many of the people out there who are
already all in for Trump are going to say, you
know what, Operation warp Speed was amazing and the vaccines
worked really well. Because Trump is going to say that
because he said it in the past, Are we supposed
(09:28):
to say that that's where we are now? Look, I
want the best Trump possible. I want a Trump that
can beat Joe Biden, can unify the country, and can
crush the communist machine. You're not going to get that
Trump if everyone sits around and says everything he says
is brilliant. It's for dchs because if that were the case,
Joe Biden wouldn't be sitting in the White House right now.
I don't know if that's too much tough talk for
some people right now, but this is why we have
(09:50):
a primary process to really talk about it. I'm a
two time Trump voter. I think he's a great guy.
I think he's a patriot. I think he loves this country.
I want him to run the best campaign possible. He
puts out ads about how Ronda Santists sucked at running
Florida during COVID. I'm like, why are you insulting me?
I want people to be able to hear the reasons
to vote for Trump that are the best possible reasons
(10:11):
that inspire them, and I know they're there.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
But he's he's bad on this. He's going to go
after him on the COVID stuff. Really, I mean, I
don't know.
Speaker 4 (10:20):
Eight under two two two eight A two I put
it out there for you, and I put it out
and I'm just gonna say, if anyone calls in and says, oh,
well you should okay, So I guess everything that we
talked about with how great Florida was during COVID before
there was a depth, before there was a primary and
every host, and I would think this is also important too,
Find me a conservative TV or radio host that any
of you liked, that any of you agree with and
(10:41):
think has any you know, ability in this business. Were
they saying that Florida was bad during COVID, badly managed
during COVID. Find me one, Find me one. And we're
friends with all of them, we know all of them.
Find me one who is saying that.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
No.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
I think that's one hundred percent right. And I would
also say, find me anybody on the rate who was
more right about COVID response than Buck and I weren't right.
I mean there's a lot of data out there. You
can go look at us for years and what we said.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
Anybody with a substantial audience on the right now who
would say, yeah, that's right. Ron de Santrus is bad
during COVID, is lying to people to pander so that
they can get more people to listen or more people
to watch. Right now, they are demeaning the relationship they
have with their audience, because there is not a single
person on the right who wasn't saying Florida was excellent
during COVID.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
And that is a fact. That is a fact.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
Everyone Ron Trump was saying it was great during COVID,
that Florida is great during COVID.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
That's my whole family. Ivanka lives here, Don Junior lives here.
Speaker 4 (11:39):
They used to live in New York, by the way,
they all moved here. So you sit here, you wonder,
Clay like what I mean? I want to I want
to call balls and strikes. I want to be fair.
But that's the first video that's that gets put out.
What What am I missing? What am I not seeing here?
There's so there's so many lanes, there's so many ability.
I just, you know, I don't know. I guess, I
just I actually I expect more from Trump in terms
(12:01):
of the oppo at this level and the way that
he's going to come back and do things. I want
the best frum possible. It gets me a little fired up.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Well, And let's keep in mind who we're trying to
beat here, we come back. We'll play DeSantis during the
course of this hour in our earlier interview, but I
want to play this as we go to break because
I think this is worth everybody keeping in mind. You're
going to get fired up whoever you support for the primary.
It's going to be a big deal. But listen to
Joe Biden try to talk in the Rose Garden in
(12:33):
just the last few minutes. Let's listen to Cut thirty three.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Here.
Speaker 5 (12:36):
I propose making the wealthy begin to pay their fair share,
which will reduce the deficit, but it won't cut programs
for hard working and Americas depending on it those funds
in order to continue big tax returns for the wealthiest Americans,
America and America's largest corporations. But we can reduce the
(12:57):
deficit both in the short term and long term in
the combination of spending cuts some programs with help big
oil and big pharma. By closing tax loopholes and making
the wealthy pay their fair share. I've reduced the jepisode.
I said one point seven trillion dollars my first two
years without raising a cent and raising taxes above anyone
(13:19):
making less than four hundred thousand dollars.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
He can't read. He cannot read. That is directly all
off of a teleprompter in the middle of the afternoon,
standing in the Rose Garden, scripted comments, no questions. The
man cannot do the job. So as much as you
are fired up about supporting somebody on the Republican side,
remember that this is the question, and this is one
(13:44):
that we're all going to debate over the next nine
or ten months. No matter who you like, who can
beat Joe Biden? That is the existential issue that every
Republican voter in a primary is going to have to
decide because Joe Biden is the single worst president in
any of our lives, and they will drag him across
the finish line, and he has dementia and he cannot
(14:05):
do the job, and our country is crumbling around.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
Those are the stakes. Yes, that's what the stakes are.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
Is it four more years of a lunatic Biden administration
that is putting out pronouncements about the need to protect
gender affirming care for gender mutilation for twelve year old,
thirteen year old, fourteen year old kids?
Speaker 1 (14:21):
Yep?
Speaker 4 (14:22):
Do we want the supremacy worst threat in America? Do
we want to stop this. Do you want to stop
the wide open border? We all want to stop these things, right,
So we have to win. We have to win. And
you know, whoever the candidate is, God bless them, We've
got to get them across the finish line.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Look, all of you out there have tremendous family memories.
How many of you have protected your family memories forever?
Most of you probably have not, especially if you've got
some old VHS tapes, especially if you are living right
now with a challenging situation, which is all of the
photos they'll disintegrate. VHS tapes aren't made to last forever.
(15:00):
How many of you have taken care of everything that
you can do to preserve your family's memories. It's what
Legacy Box exists for. You know, this is my mom's
hometown at Chattanooga. I grew up in the state of Tennessee.
I spent a lot of time going down to Chattanooga,
and that's where my grandparents were. And there's a lot
of old video and a lot of old tapes of
(15:21):
experiences that I had with them that I want to
be able to share with my own kids. Who preserves
your family's history? Who make sure that your grandma and grandpa,
great grandma and grandpa, maybe even further back, that people
can see what life was like in the seventies, the eighties,
the nineties on those VHS tapes and old slides and
even long before that. This is your opportunity to get
(15:43):
a digital copy of everything that your family has in
terms of memories to last forever. Here's how you do.
Go to legacybox dot com slash clay right now and
you can take advantage of an offer that's forty percent
or more off the regular prices. Legacybox dot com slash
Clay again forty percent off right now. Protect your family
(16:05):

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Welcome back to Clay and Buck. We're gonna be taking
a bunch of your calls here.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
I can assure you We're going to end the show
today also with a story that is well a bit
of a surprise. The short version is a public safety announcement.
If the line is too long at the bathroom at
the restaurant where you are, and you're in Florida.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
Speaking of Florida, don't just.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Go to the nearest pond, because bad things could happen.
Twelve foot alligators are around now. The individual did survive,
but we will tell you the story. He had some
pretty remarkable quotes about his ordeal, and we'll share that
with you. We also have It's amazing, Clay. You know,
(17:03):
I've been asking people about this and also just reaching
out and I'll respond to listeners, and I'm always curious
the debt ceiling fight. It feels so much like a
lot of the corporate media out there wants the debt
ceiling fight to turn into a big thing. But I
just feel like no one everyone just assumes it's gonna
get done. Do you feel it Is this a snooze?
(17:23):
Is it just gonna happen one way or the other,
or do you think there's a real possibility things start
to fall apart with it.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
I mean, it's gonna get solved, and I think that's
the general perspective. We've been through this before, and I
understand if you follow the day to day blow by
blow of politics, the only thing that surprises me so
far about the debt ceiling is it feels like most
people are gonna blame Joe Biden and the Republic and
the Democrats because most people believe that we should cut
(17:49):
spending and that it's rational to not continue to spend
money like we have been. So that to me is
maybe the biggest takeaway. If you own or operate a
small business, you want to know the name Innovation Refunds.
They operate the website get refunds dot com, the gateway
for you to apply for a tax refund from the
IRS if you haven't applied for a refund from the

because guess what. Innovation Refunds has already completed over seventeen
thousand returns for many kinds of businesses just like yours, construction, retail, restaurants, bars, hotels,
so many more. If you started filing for the ERC
got stuck halfway, that's understandable. It's complicated. You might not
(18:33):
have had anybody with experience to help you. Here's how
you get it taken care of. Go to get Refunds

be on your way to receiving money for your business.

(18:54):
the app from the app Store Get Refunds dot Com.
Welcome back in Clay Travis bucksext Show. Okay, we played
for all of you the Trump reaction most recently to
the DeSantis announcement and the way that Trump is attacking DeSantis.
I wanted to play a couple of cuts for those
of you who were not with us at the start
(19:15):
of the show when Ron DeSantis joined the program to
discuss everything about his announcement. And first of all, I
think the number one reason why DeSantis is running is
he thinks he'll beat Biden. Here is that answer from
DeSantis about why he would beat Biden and he doesn't
(19:37):
believe Trump would listen. I'm gonna hit you with the
question that everybody listening to us wants to know the
answer to. You say you can beat Joe Biden, you
think Donald Trump cannot? Why are you the right choice?
Why is Trump the wrong choice?
Speaker 6 (19:53):
Well, we know the country's going in the wrong direction.
We see it with our own eyes and we can
feel it in our bones, and so we need to
offer an alternative path to a stronger America. And I
think what we've done in Florida is face bigger tests
than any governor has ever had to face, particularly with COVID,
and we were able to win all of those battles.
(20:14):
We took a state that had been a fifty to
fifty state and turned it into a sixty forty state
with my reelection. And that's not just winning Republicans, that's
winning independent voters by eighteen percent, it's winning sixty percent
of Hispanic voters, winning women voters by eight percent. I
never contorted myself to try to fit the political wins.
(20:35):
I was a bold leader. It was bold colors, not
pale pastels. But I was able to do that in
a way that really developed the groundswell of support. I
think the vast majority of the country once a different
direction than what they're getting with Joe Biden. And I
think that if I'm the candidate, we will win, and
I think we will win convincingly in my promise to
(20:56):
the voters participating in this primary, if you nominate me
than January twentieth, twenty twenty five, my left hand will
beyond the Bible, my right hand will be up in
the air on the west side of the Capitol, and
I'll take the oath as President number forty seven. And
then we'll get to work and we will do in
the US all the good things that we did in
the state of Florida.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
Buck, do you buy it? I think this is a
question that a lot of our listeners are having right now.
Your debates in your family, your debates in your friend circles.
I believe that DeSantis would beat Biden if he were
the nominee, and I believe it primarily based on Biden's
eighty two I think Biden's single greatest vulnerability is his age.
(21:40):
I think if you put a forty four year old
on the debate stage with Joe Biden, presuming he's even
willing to debate, if you have Casey DeSantis and three
young kids against Joe Biden, who's eighty two years old,
I think that is a cosmetic, not a direct policy perspective.
That is a cosmetic thing that resonates very much, So
(22:01):
I think DeSantis would be more likely to beat Biden
just based on age. Do you think that DeSantis is
more likely to beat Biden than Trump?
Speaker 7 (22:11):
Is?
Speaker 2 (22:11):
That is a question that I think a lot of
people are debating.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
So you have to break it down into the different
almost verticals you could call them in media, right, the
different buckets of voters. And I think that when you
do that, because right now, yeah, the country is we're
close to fifty to fifty country.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
I mean, we saw that in the last election. We
saw that election.
Speaker 4 (22:33):
Before you start to go back in time, you have
to look pretty hard for a definitive electoral defeat. I
mean you have to go back really to the Obama
era beating McCain and then beating Romney. And when I
say definitive, obviously Trump won and it was phenomenal in
twenty sixteen, but it didn't win by a huge amount
(22:55):
of votes in the states that he won. He got
just the votes he needed in just the places he
needed to win, which was fabulous.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
Right, that's fantastic. How do you do that again? This time?
You look at who's up for grabs.
Speaker 4 (23:06):
Where has the Republican Party in swing states been weak
in twenty twenty two and twenty twenty. We all know
what the states are.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
We'll just keep.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
Talking about them because you know they're gonna be on
our minds. Right, It's gonna be Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin.
Maybe Virginia is going to be in the mix this
time around, Arizona, Arizona, Hampshire.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
You could like even Arizona. Arizona's a red state. Yep.
Why didn't we win in Arizona? Everybody?
Speaker 4 (23:31):
Okay, yeah, they the machines broke down on Kerry Lake.
There are other Republicans who won in that state though.
Now I'm not saying it's not unfair that the machines,
the voting machines, broke down on Carry. But I'm just
saying it is possible for Republicans to win on Arizona.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
We should win this clearly.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
College educated white voters, working class white voters, Hispanic voters
in those key states, soccer moms. Those are basically suburban moms, right,
Those are the places where you can pick it up.
Working class white voters, college educated white voters, and moms
who live in suburban areas of those key States. How
(24:05):
does the Santus do with those demographics? Well, and I said,
Hispanic voters. I think too, Hispanic's picking up. Look, Ron said,
is one Miami date, Yeah, Miami Dade County, which Miami
City is you know, seventy three percent Latino. So I
think that he has a lot of strength in those
areas and that that goes very.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Well for him.
Speaker 4 (24:25):
The question that I need someone to answer for me
is what is the way for Trump to win back
in the general those voters where there has been there
There have been clear indicators of softness or even rejection
of support for Trump back candidates and Trump himself in
twenty twenty two and twenty twenty. But this is open
(24:46):
by w This is ongoing question. I'm not pretending to
have the answers on this, but I think those are
some of the questions that MAGA and the folks who
are all in on Trump right now are going to
be answering for primary voters going forward. I think that's
a sense.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
My number one question, my number one question for Trump
would be, you say the election was stolen in twenty twenty,
why would they not steal the election again in twenty
twenty four? This is to me the self defeating nature
of Trump's underlying argument. And anybody out there who voted
for Trump, and I did obviously in twenty twenty, if
(25:22):
you believe that the election was stolen, if you take
Trump at his word, what has changed that will keep
the election from being stolen in twenty twenty four. I've
not heard anybody make a strong argument about what need
what has changed?
Speaker 1 (25:37):
Right?
Speaker 2 (25:38):
If you think the Democrats were willing to cheat in
twenty twenty such that they kept Trump from being president,
why would they not cheat again in twenty twenty four.
That's the self defeating to me. Aspect of focusing on
twenty twenty DESANTUS won Florida by nineteen points. That's not close, right.
I want a landslide election because I do think if
(26:01):
this thing comes down to a few thousand ballots. Yeah,
I'm really nervous about what's going to happen. I'm nervous
about suddenly there's going to be a fire alarm that
goes off in Atlanta and suddenly something gets flooded.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
Right, I've heard this from a lot of Remember I'm
a two time Trump voter and eight oh sorry four
year when he was president staunch Trump supporter. What I've
heard from a lot of two time Trump voters though,
is we all have to understand that they cheated isn't
(26:35):
an excuse, Meaning we have to understand Democrats are going
to fight super dirty yep, and we need somebody who
will see the dirty fighting before the votes are all counted,
catch the dirty fighting or the you know, the dirty
politics as it's happening, and end up at the White
House as the guy. So that's the mission. Another four
(26:58):
years of well, you know, are we going to go
through another four years of well we actually won?
Speaker 1 (27:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (27:03):
No, I can't live through it. And that's why my clarion, call,
my guiding light is the nominee has to beat Joe Biden.
So what I would encourage And everybody's gonna come to
different conclusions. Right, We'll take calls, but some people are
gonna say, Vivia Gramasamy's my guy.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
I mean, that's fine, fine, of course, That's that's what
a primary is. For the nicky Hanley fans out there,
don't be scared.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
You can call in. There's a few of you have
called in. Don't think that we're gonna, you know, we open.
Speaker 4 (27:32):
Form whoever you we want you to be able to
make the case for whoever your person is in this
primary to all of your fellow Conservatives and Republicans all
across the country. Right now, Wade in Allenown, you're a
Trump guy. You're in Pennsylvania, which is the most important
state probably of all of them. If you could wave
a magic wand and guarantee the Republicans were gonna win.
(27:54):
But remember they just put a basically dead man and
John Fetterman into the Senate. Wade, how would you break
this down?
Speaker 8 (28:02):
I would answer the question you've been answering asking the
past few seconds. I called because of what somebody said earlier,
but the way you framed the question. Now, I voted
for Trump twice and I'm going to vote for him
a third time. And that is that he should stop
talking about twenty twenty. I understand that. But what he
needs to do is stand up, and I wish Rond
Deasansers would do. I never met Ron Desantles, I don't
(28:25):
know him. I may be a wonderful guy, but Ron
DeSantis never walked on North Korea and faced down the people.
Ron DeSantis never faced down Chi and did that. Ron
DeSantis never should up and said, your European countries, if
you don't do this, you're not getting our money. Trump
did every single thing that we asked him to do,
because they work for us, we don't work for them.
(28:47):
We voted for Trump to do something, and he did it.
He walked out on stage and hugged the fly, He
walked out on stage and nominated three people to the
Supreme Court in defensive life. We appreciate everything he did,
and I wanted to continue to do it.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
Now, wait, wait, can I ask you a question? Wait,
I have a question for you. First of all, as
were to say, you know, appreciate you calling in. Do
you think it's fair to point out what you're saying?
All makes sense to me. What you're saying is what
I think I should be hearing from the Trump campaign.
But when he's when he's when he's talking, why go
after the Florida situation?
Speaker 8 (29:18):
Like why pretend no, I'm saying, I'm saying, if if
Iron decaid, you have to analyze why a person wants
to be president, what they think they're going to do.
And Donald Trump already at seventy years old, had all
the money he needed, had airplanes, he had stuff. He
could have just sat back and said, I want to
show you kids the seven wonders of the world. But he
decided to fight for his country. Now, after doing all this,
(29:39):
going to all he's going to, he's willing to do
it all again. I wish somebody like Ron Desantius would
stand up and say Donald Trump is right. They stole
that election. We don't know how, we can't prove what.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
Okay, but so Wayne, might I agree with you with
a lot of what you're saying. My question is, if
you believe twenty twenty was stolen, and Trump does, and
and that's a big part of his argument for twenty
twenty four, why would they not steal twenty twenty four?
Speaker 9 (30:06):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (30:06):
I thought he will.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
I'm okay. So that's my question, Wayne. If Trump lost
in twenty twenty and you believe that the election was stolen,
which is you're right, I believe it was rigged. Right,
I've said that for a long time, why would they
not rig it again in twenty twenty four? What has changed?
That's why this is an ultimately self defeating argument to me,
(30:30):
because if Trump said they cheated, I actually won in
twenty twenty, Well, if they cheat again and he loses
in twenty twenty four. We spend eight years saying the
same thing. Oh, they cheated, But guess what Joe Biden,
who can barely raise his right hand and repeat after
the Chief Justice or whoever's going to be swearing him in,
is going to be standing there in twenty twenty five
(30:52):
getting four more years.
Speaker 8 (30:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (30:53):
Look, we appreciate you calling in, Wade, thank you for
giving us a Pennsylvania perspective. We'll get some more calls
here to close us out. So I know people are
very very passionate about that, and we should be. I mean,
let's remember we should be. This is about the future
of the country. This matters. You know, inflation and prices
continue to be a huge problem, and there's also this
looming banking crisis. I mean, how much worse is it
(31:15):
going to get? When's the next show going to drop?
With all the current volatility and markets, how are your
retirement accounts doing? Phoenix Capitol Group says the time the
diverse fire investments is right now. Look, I made for
me a sizeable investment in the Phoenix Capitol Group because
I read their perspectives. I talked to them, and I
believe in what they're doing. They recommend high value US
oil and gas investments with current yields at range from
(31:36):
eight percent to twelve percent APY paid monthly. That's a
better rate of return than banks or CDs with no middleman.
There are both Regulation A Plus and Regulation DE corporate
bond offerings with different maturities, qualifications and rates. There's also
a nine percent APY starting at a five thousand dollars investment,
open to all investors. Download the Phoenix Group's free Investor

I think you're gonna seeing a lot more of her.
And we put other things in there too, like the
Sunday hang so we got a lot to talk about.
Speaker 8 (32:59):
With that.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
We did say we.
Speaker 4 (33:01):
Want to get to your calls and as much as possible,
we just kind of want to make this whole primary
feel like we're going to be analyzing, We're going to
bring you up to speed on the news of the day.
Talking about other things too, of course, but this is
going to be a major focus, and we want all
of you to feel like your voices are truly a
part of the conversation as we go through this.
Speaker 8 (33:20):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
Dan in Southwest Texas called in on this one.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
What's all what's up? Dan?
Speaker 7 (33:26):
I Uh, It's Dennis.
Speaker 2 (33:29):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (33:29):
But I'm uh yeah, I'm I'm I thought this way
I like Trump, and in terms of what he did
in office, Uh, don't care for the man and as
a person, but I think he did great things in office.
But I think he's gas lighting now. I think he
goes because he feels threatened. And if he focused on
(33:55):
the good things that he did in office, he would
be a whole lot better off. If he could focus
on what he did and show us out he's going
to do more of the same, then he would be
a whole lot more positive. But he goes on the
attack rather than being a positive influence.
Speaker 4 (34:18):
Yeah, thank you for calling in, Dan. Yeah, Look, this
is a little bit of what we're already talking about here,
which is I don't know the people advising some of
the people advising Trump right now around him, honestly, just
don't know what the hell they're doing. I'll just be
honest with some of you. That's the truth. I know
who some of them are. There are some serious players
in there too, but there are some real clowns. And
I think that he's getting some very bad advice. I really,
(34:41):
I really believe I know that. Actually, So that's going on,
that's a part of it. Shannon in round Rock, Texas.
What's going on Shannon, Hey.
Speaker 9 (34:51):
Good afternoon. You know, I've had some concerns about the Santis,
but I think what really solidified my concerns was when
you interviewed him and you asked him, would you pardon Trump?
And he never came out and said yes, I will
pardon Trump. He danced around the entire question.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
Well, Klay, what did you ask him that question?
Speaker 2 (35:15):
Yeah, Shannon, we'll play the audio tomorrow. I don't know
if we have time to play it right now. But look,
I said yesterday on the show. Some of you heard
me saying it, as a matter of principle, if I
were running for president of the United States as a
Republican or frankly a Democrat, I would pardon Donald Trump
because I don't think we need to set the president
of presidents or former presidents should be arrested and tried
(35:36):
to put in prison. That's what happens in Banana Republics.
For those of you who didn't here, we'll play it
for you tomorrow. On the show, DeSantis said he would
consider pardons for every single January sixth political prisoner, as
well as the president of the United States, in the
event that he was charged. Now, to be fair, Buck.
Some people don't like to answer hypotheticals. Right, we haven't
(35:57):
had Trump charged yet, we don't know what the charges are.
But I would stand on the principle of personally there
should not be charges being brought here and by the way,
on the Trump front, on him, the advisors.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
I would point this out.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
Every single person who is running for President of the
United States against Trump, he hasn't said a single negative
word about them, except for DeSantis. Think about that, really,
Nicki Haley, nothing, Tim Scott, the Vi, Karamaswami, most of them.
He's giving positive endorsements up He's going after DeSantis. That
to me tells me this is a two man race.
(36:34):
Everybody else is in it to be VP, is in
it to be a cabinet secretary. So far, we got
two eight hundred pound guerrillas and they are going to
be throwing big punches at each other.
Speaker 4 (36:45):
It's gonna get nasty, but we're gonna have a place
here to talk about and friends to follow it, to
be a part of it, and to hopefully get this
country where it needs to be.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
By playing Buck
