Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to today's edition of The Clay Travis and Buck
Sexton Show podcast. Welcome at everybody, Monday edition of The
Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show. We are both back
from a weekend of some football fantastic stuff going on.
We had a lot of fun out in Austin, Texas.
Clay actually was at the Titans game yesterday as well,

(00:21):
So a lot of a lot of football going on.
We've got news though, all over the place to break
down for you today. Kamala Harris. I don't know if
she's still technically the borders are, but I think we
should call her that just because they never removed the title.
She claims that the border is secure. You also have

(00:44):
a CNN well known CNN anchor, Christian Amanpor demanding King
Charles the Third, the new King of the UK, address
BLM and reparations for wealth that comes from former colony.
So we're already going in into that debate hasn't been
very long. Karin. Jean Pierre wants you to know it

(01:06):
is not a booster. It's just a new vaccine you
have to get in addition to another vaccine that you
already got that you were told was the only vaccine
you were gonna need until they were further boosters. But
now the newest one is something else. Clay, We're gonna
have to come up with a new term here for whatever.
I know. We call it the shot. You can't call

(01:28):
it the vaccine. Just gotta call it the shot. I mean,
it's just like you the flu shot. Now we got
the COVID shot. Both of them don't work that well,
and you're gonna have to deal with this for the
rest of your lives. We also hate Debbie down or
right here off the top, but that's the reality. People
sitting around with five shots and they've had no impact. Yeah,
this is what happens when the Titans lose. By the way,

(01:49):
Clay shows up and he's all wampwamp. You know that
was the shot the rest of your life stating loss.
Congratulations to all the Giants fans out there. Your coach
went for two and then our or choke. Yeah. So yeah,
I'm i'm i'm, I'm. I'm in a downcast mood here
post Titans loss, Clay turns into a bitter Frenchman. Life

(02:09):
is a big, pathetic, black hole of nothing. I'm a
nihilist doesn't scalas flicked onto the street anyway. I will
say this about about the game that we saw with
Alabama and UH and Universe Texas Austin. It was the
closest thing that I've ever been to Clay that felt
like Maximus and the Coliseum. The energy in that place

(02:32):
for that game was well. But can we can we
put a pin in it? Come back to a little
bit later because we do have, but it was it
was amazing. Though. We had a great time in Austin,
many listeners out there, we appreciate all of you. Longhorns.
Almost got it done. We'll talk about it a little
bit later, but we did have a spectacular times great
So over the weekend you saw a couple of things

(02:55):
that were really dominating the news cycle. One is the
UH the funeral and processions than the new King in
the UK and all this stuff. Clay will tackle that
for you in a little bit if he feels like it.
The other thing that obviously occurred that I think is
much more on the minds of the American people is
the anniversary of nine to eleven. And you had a

(03:19):
moment here, you had a window into the mentality of
the regime. Of the Biden regime. I think, I know
it comes from a mouthpiece for the regime in this case.
But Chuck Todd, who's over at NBC, who's supposed to
be by branding, media branding, he's supposed to be. You know,
he's a guy who's Belt Ways. He's obviously a liberal,

(03:41):
but he's not a super left wing guy, at least
that's the way they try to present him. And he decides,
I want you to hear the question that he asked
the sitting Vice president of the United States. We're at
the twenty first marking, if you will, of the September
eleventh attacks. Yeah, this was a foreign terrorist attacking our democracy,
attacking this country. Yeah, we're now as a nation battling

(04:04):
a threat from within. Is the threat equal or greater
than what we faced after nine eleven? That's an interesting question.
I have held many elected offices, as district's attorney, attorney general, senator,
now Vice president, and there's an oath that we always take,
which is to defend and uphold our Constitution against all enemies,

(04:27):
foreign endimistic. We don't compare the two in the oath,
but we know they both can exist, and we must
defend against it. Now, just put aside Kamala's complete blather
there of an answer, I total not sully think that's
a better answer for Kamala than most of the time.
The question to me is by far the bigger story,
the idea that there is any comparison. And they say this,

(04:50):
and actually some of their pundits on Democrats people forget
this now. But when January six was more on the
minds of the Biden regime and it's flax in the media,
some of them were saying January six was worse than
nine eleven, which is just I mean, true psychosis, I
mean truly insane to even talk about these two things.

(05:12):
That you have non violent offenders being held in solitary
confinement in some cases now for past what two years
or past eighteen months, and to compare that to the
incineration of almost three thousand, you know, the deaths either
through fire or through through the rubble collapsing of almost

(05:34):
three thousand people, mostly Americans, but three thousand human beings
that day. I wonder, Clay, are they this crazy or
are they just this reckless when they say stuff like this.
You know how these shows work, Buck, But for people
who may not be aware. Chuck Todd probably has twenty
people on his staff pitching questions. Okay, you're gonna have

(05:58):
Kamala Harris. Here are a bunch of questions that we
think could make sense for her. This was intended, I think,
to be a provocative question that might trip up Kamala Harris,
which is why I say I think her answer was
far better than the question was. But this is emblematic
of Chuck Todd and why frankly, he's about to lose

(06:20):
his job. I don't know if you've seen this, Buck,
there are lots of reports that meet the press under
Chuck Todd. He obviously, if I'm not mistaken, replaced Tim Russer, right,
who was sort of an iconic figure in the Washingtime sinks.
I mean, this is it's just not good. Comparably, he's
not very good. But this is a to me, embarrassing
question that reflects poorly upon he and his staff because

(06:44):
he chose this, but probably somebody pitched this to him,
and it's nowhere near remotely similar. Right, And you're correct, Buck,
that a bunch of MSNBC people and CNN left wing
pundits came on and have argued on air, Oh, January
sixth is worse than nine to eleven. So this is
not as if Meet the Press just pulled this completely

(07:07):
out of nowhere, and maybe Kamala Harris actually paid attention
and had been briefed on the idea of a question
like this and was prepared for it. She kind of
just say the clay. She gave a non answer. Yes,
she did not say that your question is crazy, reckless
and disrespectful because she didn't want to antagonize the thirty

(07:28):
percent forty percent of Democrats who were like, yeah, January
sixth was actually worse than nine to eleven because they're
out of their minds. Yeah, right, But she didn't say
it was worse, and that's what I thought. Me Todd
was hoping that she would say, which is why I
think she was probably briefed. But there's also a great
clip here, Buck that I that I saw this morning

(07:48):
and I thought made a lot of sense that ties
in with that Kamala Harris clip. And we've got a
couple of Kamala Harris clips because every time she talks
just about gets interviewed, she says something really bad. You
know what I thought was most interesting about this was
the idea essentially that we have no unity anymore. Right,

(08:09):
you can look back and say, in the twenty first century,
right now, nine eleven is pretty much the only time
that we've all come together as a country and been one.
Would you say that, Buck, that that's fair buy in large?
Post nine eleven? It lasted in most couple of weeks,
but yes, but I mean Bush's overall approval ratings went

(08:29):
to ninety percent or whatever, and it started to fade
a little bit. But what I think is interesting here
is is this Jay Johnson. I think this clip twenty
five really goes to the essence of it. Because Buck,
I find myself, as we talked about it a little
bit on the twentieth anniversary, but on the twenty first,
how much national unity would nine to eleven provoke if

(08:52):
it happened today, and how quickly would it turn into
another divisive moment. I don't think we would have almost
any unity at all. In fact, I think there's a
lot of left wingers who would say America deserves this.
But listen to this cut twenty five because it's unfortunately,
I think, reflective of the world we live in right now.

(09:12):
The aftermath of nine to eleven, this nation came together
in ways that we had not seen for years. I
worry that if there were another crisis, another large scale
attack of some sort, we would quickly politically fall into
various different camps. There may even be an argument about

(09:34):
who did it. There might be somebody who says, you know,
it was not that proup, it was this group fake news.
But I don't think there's any doubt that if nine
eleven happened today, if it hadn't happened before that, almost immediately,
especially on social media, there would be a lot of
left wingers who would say America deserved this for its

(09:58):
policies over colonialism, over uh interacting. You know, there were
a lot of left wingers happened. There were a lot
of left wingers who said that. At the time, I
was in college. Yeah, you've told the story that professor
came out and said in front of the entire school
the day of nine to eleven. I had classmates who
were finding out that their brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers weren't

(10:20):
coming home that day. And Fresson said, look, this is
what happens on nine eleven. Talking about here, this is
what happens when you make people angry with your foreign
policy and with your colonialism or whatever. That was a
There was a flag burning at my campus of leftists
about a month after nine to eleven, which actually got covered.
I think it was in the Boston Globe at the time.

(10:41):
You went to a super left wing place, right, I
mean Amherst, Now, I mean it's it's it's pretty much
on par where you know, all these places, Amherst and
william and every day was everybody was was outraged at
ed Vanderbilt. There was no suggestion of but I do
think would you agree that what you experienced twenty one

(11:04):
years ago would be far more likely to be experienced
by many people across the nation if this were to happen.
Here's what I think would happen if we if we
suffered a catastrophic first strike attack, whether it was by
a terrorist group or by the Russians or the Chinese
or you know, Iranians or whomever. Right, if if we

(11:24):
suffered a nine to eleven, which really the only analogous incident,
if you're going to be honest about history, the only
thing that really feels close at all the nine to
eleven is Pearl Harbor, right, the other massive strike, massive
intelligence failure. Those two events are in a category of
their own, different perpetrators, different geopolitics, and obviously historical periods,

(11:46):
but those are similar in scale, right, if we had
something else along those lines, Yeah, I do think it's
true that right now you would probably have the immediate
effort to use this as a point of political advantage.
I do believe the left would do that. I think
the impetus on the right is grab the M four

(12:07):
strap on the helmets and let's go fight the enemy.
I think the impetus on the left now is the
right is the enemy, that the domestic enemy of conservatives,
of Republicans is the primary threat to our democracy, even
in the face of a real external threat. And I
think you saw that mentality on display, quite honestly during COVID,
where in a sense, the virus was the real enemy

(12:32):
that lasted what three months? And then who was the
real enemy, Clay? It wasn't the virus that was choking
the life out of older people and people who were
in ill health. It wasn't the virus that was really
the thing that was making people angry. It was those
who didn't want to mask up those who didn't want
to shut down businesses. It became conservatives and the right

(12:53):
very quickly they replaced the virus with US. I think
that's true. I don't think it lasted three months, yeah,
I think maybe three weeks, two weeks ish. And then
everybody came after Trump aggressively on the left because they
saw it as a way to sink his reelection chances
because without COVID, and certainly if COVID hits in twenty one,

(13:16):
or it hits in twenty three or any non election year,
Trump gets re elected with ease. In twenty twenty, Biden
rode COVID into the White House. It was the modern
day equivalent of Watergate, and that it changed the outcome
of an election that otherwise I think would have been
won by a Republican. I think. So we'll come back

(13:40):
into this and oh, look, we got so much today.
Did you see that Christianama poor thing by the way
about reparations and BLM and the Queen's likely yes, this
goes to the point of the queen is ninety six,
She's had an incredible wife. How quickly did it turn
from the queen died to give me some money because
of what the queen did isn't an amazing The Left

(14:02):
is basically like, yeah, she had an amazing life and
was a unifying figure for like a billion people around
the world. But is there a photo of her bending
the need to BLM? I don't think so. I mean
they go right to it. They go right to it.
They don't been a waste of min the Nazis. Beating
the Nazis isn't good enough. You have to have to

(15:28):
We appreciate all of you for setting a record with
us in August. Hope to do the same thing again
on Saturday Saturday in September. Do you know I didn't
even tell you this, Buck? Do you know who I
ran into outside of the stadium before Alabama Texas kicked off,
like literally thirty minutes before kickoff, probably producer dub. He

(15:53):
was just in the middle of the crowd. He is
a Texan. Hadn't told me that he was gonna be
there at all, And then emerging out of nowhere. Dub
is like six four two sixty. That probably is an
exaggeration on both sides, but he's a really big dude
just there with his girlfriend out of nowhere. He's just

(16:13):
and I was like, you didn't even tell me you
were gonna be here, and then you just randomly find
me in the middle of the crowd. You saw had
just packed a backpack with beer in it, and like
the long tube that you could or the hat you
know that had those hats where you have the two
beer cans, because that's I'm expecting party time with producer doub.
When Dubb first started working with me as a producer

(16:36):
on the OutKick the Coverage show, he had been working
for like a week and he took time off and
I was like, where did he go? And they said, oh,
he flew to France for the Ryder Cup. And I
was like, Wow, how much day in this dude that
he's at the Ryder Cup. So he's down at he's
down at the Texas Alabama game. He just shows up
everywhere and then I'm telling him, Hey, I'm gonna be

(16:57):
on the road for Penn State Auburn this weekend for
the big newon kickoff show again, and Dub's like, well,
you'll have to hang out at our tailgate. He's an
Auburn guy, but he didn't tell me he was going
to be there at all. I'm I can't even stress
upon you how packed it is. We're trying to find
where I'm gonna be doing the big television hits. There's
some sea of humanity and then boom, Dub is just

(17:17):
right there saying like, hey, what's up. It's also tremendous
love of the sport that's apparent, not just from Dub
for showing up, but for all the other folks massed together.
It wass off your shoes hot on Saturday in Austin, Texas,
which is not a surprise, and thanks to KLBJ for
hosting us for a few days last week. But it was,

(17:38):
and they were just people. Couldn't have been happier to
be there. Man couldn't have been happier they were. We
were lucky to be in the shade. Uh and and
thankfully we had we had pretty awesome time and we
got to meet the governor on Friday, Greg Abbott, and
then Bill Holmes hosted us in his box there out
an awesome fellow. By the way, I love that guy.

(17:58):
Great guy with Senator Ted Cruz, the Lieutenant governor Attorney
General of Texas. We had an awesome time hanging out
watching the game. They're all big longhorn people. The Texas
almost pulled it off. You know what, my pillow. A
lot of people were wearing My Pillow products walking around
college football stadiums because they got some incredible slipper slide
sandals and how hot it was this past weekend for

(18:19):
a lot of people out there. My wife wears these
things everywhere. Kids are even stealing them from her. They

who shoes you're gonna be wearing. We got my Pillow

(19:00):
lot on the show because it matters to all of
you across the country. Welcome back to Clay in Buck,
of course. And there was a question that was posed
to Vice President Kamala Harris over the weekend on I
never I don't watch these Sunday shows except for the
clips of them Clay. I try to spend Sunday doing
other things. But this was the Meet the Press is

(19:24):
Chuck Todd, Right, So Meet the Press Chuck Todd interview
keeps going here and Kamala says with a straight face,
and you can almost tell based on the way that
she says it that she doesn't even believe the lie
while she says it that we have a secure border.
Would you call the border secure? I think that there

(19:46):
is no question that we have to do what the
President and I asked Congress to do. Is the first request.
We may pass a bill to create a pathway to cisenship.
The border is secure, but we also have a broken
immigration system, in particular over the last four years before
we came in and it needs to be fixed. We're

(20:07):
gonna have two million people cross this border for the
first time ever. You're confident this border secure. We have
a secure border and that that is a priority for
any nation, including ours in our administration. But there are
still a lot of problems that we are trying to fix. Okay,

(20:28):
So let's just be very clear, Clay about this is
just a lie. I don't know what I mean. This
is crazy. This would be like saying in the depths
of you know, a massive recession where you have let's say,
we had you know, fifteen percent unemployment, you know, and
she's looking at everybody saying, this is a great economy, folks,

(20:49):
it's a great economy. That is the same level of
almost sociopathic lying you're getting here from Kamala. Five million
people have entered the United States illegally since Biden came
into office. And that's an estimate we're looking at now.
Anybody who's being serious about it, who's doing a real estimate,

(21:11):
thinks there's at least twenty million people in the United
States illegally, and it's probably more like twenty five to
thirty million when all said and done. That is the
honest to god number. They've been saying it's eleven million
for twenty years. That is not true. That's crazy. So
why do you think Kamala believes it's a good idea
to just look at the American people and say something

(21:31):
that's so obviously false because there's no consequences for it.
I mean, that's the truth of the matter. Every tweet
that Donald Trump sent, there would be four thousand Blue
check journos immediately fact checking every word. The Washington Post
changed their headline to democracy dies in darkness the moment

(21:54):
that Trump was elected. Buck last week, Hillary blatantly lied
about not having classified emails on her server, and almost
no one even blinked. There was almost zero coverage of
a direct lie from her that is easily contradicted. People

(22:15):
just moved right on because they want it to be true.
Joe Biden has even bothered to go to the border,
and as you pointed out, five million people have come
pouring in since he became president. There's no pressure on
Kamala Harris. She hasn't been to the border. She's even
gotten called out by it. This clip will not air

(22:38):
on CNN, it will not air on MSNBC. There will
be no discussion about the fact that our border is
the least secure it has ever been in any of
our lives. And if you dare to bring up that
five million people have illegally come into this country and joined,
as you point out, somewhere in excess of ten or
fifteen million, we don't even know what the total number is.

(23:00):
She actually says in that answer that they have a
plan to try to get citizenship for those people because
Democrats want those voters. And if you mention that you're
the conspiracy theorist, how dare you reference that all of
these illegal immigrants are part of the Democrat plan for

(23:22):
how to win elections for years and years to come.
In fact, that is an unacceptable theory to even utter.
You can't even mention the boarder. Remember AOC in the
all white outfit crying standing beside the chain link fence,
posing she was pushing for abolish ICE, which is the
enforcement arm of the federal government, when it everywhere total

(23:46):
free for all. Anyone comes here for any reason or
no reasons, Davis across, and of course is allowed to
avail themselves of all the federal benefits you pay. Remember, everybody,
as you're listening to this as inflation makes harder for
you to afford groceries. And you know, look at the
price of gas and look at which direction the economy
is heading in. You pay your taxes and they're gonna

(24:07):
lock you up. But illegals can come in here, get
access to whatever benefits they want, do whatever doctor for
all they need to. And that is no problem. In fact,
they're a protected they're a special class in America. Illegals
are treated better than Americans because they have a separate
rule of law than the rest of us, because they're
of political benefit to Democrats. But then there's this other

(24:29):
little there's this little problem, right, this little situation that
is unfolding. And I will say this. When Governor Abbott,
we saw Governor Rabbit on Friday, we're you know, hanging out.
They had the big steer. Was that the ut uh
the master? Yes, I didn't remember the name. Yes, thank yes, Bevo.
Was there a large a large cowlike Tuck Tuck Texas longhorn,

(24:52):
big big thank you, the long horn? Yes, because hook them,
hook them. Indeed, you're putting it all together. I'm getting
it all. I was, you know, ready to call the offense.
By the end of that game. I just knew what
was going on. I will say. They let me stand
by by Bevo and hold the reins, and then I
got an alley producer was with us, and then I
took a step and got a little bit too close,

(25:13):
and the Longhorn handlers rushed right in and they were like,
we don't want you Gord on the Can you imagine
if I got Gord on the well, I probably know
you're a Tennessee fan. You know, Bevo can smell a
Tennessee fan a mile away. I'm just gonna we'll talk
about this next hour. We got to walk through the
Governor's mansion for history nerds. That was really pretty cool.
That painting of Davy Crockett is one of the coolest

(25:35):
paintings I've ever seen. I will throw that out there.
We had to get our picture taken. But back to U,
so I brought up Abbott because he was the first
one I believe who had this idea of we're gonna
bust migrants. And I thought, okay, good, you know, I
get the optics of this. I don't know how long
this will last. He was totally right. This has actually
done more than anything else to not only raise the

(25:58):
issue in the last couple of months to a national
political conversation, which is critical Republicans. The number two and
number one is inflation, which is obvious the number two issue.
When you look at the gap between who people trust
on an issue that matters, that's like a top five issue.
Clay Republicans havewell into double digits, more like twenty points

(26:21):
of better support for dealing with the boarder than Democrats.
This needs we talked about. Abbott came along the governor
of Texas and says he's going to start busting them,
busting illegal migrants to other cities, by the way, providing them,
bust fair sending them to places. A lot of them
actually want to go to these places. I know. He
was like, oh, they've been tricked. No. What is the
single greatest concentration of any city of illegal migrants in

(26:43):
the United States? New York City. Okay, this is not
a surprise to anybody. It's where I live. It's right
here in town. And he's doing this. And now you've
had the mayor of New York, the mayor of Chicago,
the mayor of Philadelphia. Krasner's the DA what's the Philadelphia
mayor's name. I forget his now it guys, tell me
his name. I forget his name. And a Memuriel bows

(27:05):
or the mayor of DC. They have all complained publicly
about the strain on their resources of having illegal migrants
in their communities. Clay, If New York and DC can
handle it, why should El Paso, Texas? You know, why
shouldn't McAllen Texas that community have to shoulder this burden.

(27:29):
It just shows everybody this story that we're told that
there's no downside to illegal migration, and just as a
resources issue, never mind even the legal is it's just
not true. Yeah, and it's a lie. And the fact
that Jim Kenney, by the way, as the mayor of Philadelphia.
But the fact that we've ended up in this situation
we need to be hammering. If you're out there listening

(27:51):
right now and you're in a campaign, three things. Okay,
COVID also restrictions I believe should be a part. But
the border crime crime is crystallizing for so many people
out there. Philadelphia we're just talking about has the highest
rate of crime murder in its history. We talked a
lot about Memphis last week as a larger contextual metaphor

(28:14):
for what's going on many different places. The border crime inflation,
that's a win, border crime inflation and tie in all
of the failures. Depending on where you live. Over COVID
lockdowns associated with both business and schools should be a
landslide election. I still think it's going to be a
landslide election. But you got to hit the right topics,

(28:35):
and you know what topics not there Buck mar Lago
and Trump plenty of time in twenty twenty four to
address that during the primary season twenty twenty three. This
ain't on the ballot right now. It's what Democrats are
trying to create. Just as we said, if they don't
indict Trump at this point, mar Lago is a straight up.
The mar Lago documents is just a distraction. Yes, they overreach.

(28:56):
We've already talked about that. If they don't indict him,
we focus on the issues that are going to voters
out there. My friends. These data breaches just keep on coming.
Another one was recently announced, this one involving social security numbers.
Nell Net Servicing, a technology service company used by Oklahoma
Student Loan Authority, announced a breach affecting two point five

(29:16):
million student borrowers breach information included emails, phone numbers, and addresses. Now,
the thing about these data breaches is you don't know

(30:22):
Turravis Buck Sexton show closing out the first hour of
the week, and I was I know you were worried
about a Buck. I know you were concerned about Brian Stelter,
the CNN reliable sources fired left wing zealot. This will

(30:43):
be the guy who's not gonna call out anything going
on at the border. And I saw this and I
just thought to myself, this is too perfect for this
to be the result of Brian Stelter being fired at CNN.
He's now got his next job lineup. This is not
a joke. I sound like Joe Biden. He has joined

(31:06):
Harvard joined Harvard University, where he will be teaching courses
focused on threats against democracy. He has been named the
Walter Schoreenstein Media and Democracy Fellow. Harvard says it wants
Stelter to convene discussions about the fate of democracy and

(31:29):
the state of the news media. These discussions with media leaders, policymakers, politicians,
I'm reading from their release, and Kennedy School students, fellows,
and faculty will help deepen public and scholarly understanding about
the current state of the information ecosystem and its impacts
on democratic governance. So you know, several hundred thousand dollars

(31:52):
for Harvard do you think, Buck, do you think either
one of us will get invited to sit on any
of these panels? I don't think so. Maybe I just
miss my invitation. Maybe maybe it's out there. Stelter is
a failed CNN TV show host who went to Tosen
and he has a BA. I went to Ambers. You

(32:13):
went to GW and then got a got a JD
at Vanderbilt. I don't think either of us. You know,
I spent five years at the CIA. I don't think
either of us are gonna get invited to teach any
courses at Harvard Clay. It's just so shocking, isn't it.
Let I think it's funny here. I mean, this is
all exactly. I say this all the time, one of
I mean, I don't mean to get all serious here.

(32:34):
We'll make fun of Brian Stelter. Get in a second.
The Left takes care of their people all the time.
It is so true. That's why they can That's why
Stelter can go on TV even an episode tad episode
scared of a debacracy, like a sweaty mess with no ratings.
It doesn't matter because the apparatus will make sure that
even if a show crashes and burns Clay, they're gonna

(32:54):
pay him quarter of a million dollars to teach this class.
I bet you it's Harvard they got they got forty
billion dollars to pay them whatever they want. Here, I
have a threat to add tomacracy. And you know, I
know Cartan, Cartman, and Stelter sound kind of similar, but
you know, Cartman is way funnier than Stelter. But here's
what the left does. That they take care of the
people on their side who do their bidding, and that

(33:18):
means that they'll get people who will just they will
just run through that plate glass window of lunacy. And
doesn't they don't worry about what's on the other side
because they know the book deals, the board seats on
our side. It's always, oh, maybe you'll start a small
business or you know, after your career has been shattered
because cancel culture has come for you. You know, we're

(33:40):
not good at this. Yeah, I agree, And this is
one of those things where I think the billionaires who
are making decisions about what to do. I did it. Look,
I went out and founded a media company and sold
it to Fox. But I think there needs to be
more money being spent in media frankly, and I know

(34:01):
Fox does a good job out there, but there are
still very few real strong, punching, actually landing punches media
companies out there, right, you know what I'm talking about,
Like I've talked to a couple of years. Yeah, I've
talked to conservative billionaires. A couple of them at different times,

(34:22):
you know, offer records. I won't name them, but I've
talked to them said, can you look, let's let's build
a serious even just a free speech based conservative leaning.
It doesn't have to be, you know, as right wing
as I would want it to be, but just something
out there. And there the attitude of people on the
right who make a lot of money, you know, it
over overwhelming. You're not everybody, but overwhelming is I don't

(34:43):
know if that business is scalable. I don't know if
that's really going to have the profit margin. And I
want to look at them and say, it's about saving
the Country're rich enough, it's about saving because they're billionaires,
do this and I remember I had a long text
thread in a twenty twenty and Rush read the whole

(35:04):
thing on air. It was about exactly this issue, because
I said, well, if you're a billionaire wants to save America,
stop sending you know, a ten million dollars to the
Ballet and two million dollars to a think tank that
writes papers nobody reads. Start a media entity. You know,
Glenn Beck started the Blaze years ago. Clay, I give
Glenn a lot of props, a lot of credit for this.

(35:26):
You see the people that came through there. I came
through their will Kin, Pete HEGs, Jennet Diabeela, Guy Benson,
Katie Pavlich. Tons of people got trained up at the
early stages Blaze. Obviously you're doing this for sports and
same sports without kick, but this is the way. Yeah,
look it's one hundred percent right and Buck. By the

(35:48):
end of football season, OutKick is going to be one
of the three or four biggest sports sites on the Internet. So,
by the way, if you're out there and you're a
sports fan, you want some sanity, you can check out OutKick.
But that is there is is a pathway to making
money and profitability now it may not be the same
level of profit that some of these billionaires have gotten
used to, but I think it's such a good point

(36:08):
at on some level, what are you trying to do?
Do you want the country to be a better place,
or do you want to make a little bit more
money in a private equity fund than you might make
by building your own media company. And without Rupert Murdoch,
think about this for a minute. Buck. Without Rupert Murdoch, effectively,
there would be no real marketplace of idea. You would

(36:28):
essentially have a one We would have a day facto
one party state were it not for Murdoch, Rush and
conservative media as it has existed in the last twenty years,
which has always been under assault, trying to get canceled,
trying to undermine and trying to ban it. Yeah, that's true.
It's pretty crazy to think about. We need way more

(36:49):
people getting involved in the fight. We're going to keep
fighting for you every day.
