Melakai on your left, your other left. I only have
one left.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, you guys,
but according to the navigation system, the movement of the
asteroids keep changing.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Translation.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
Please, we're not getting any closer to the clearing. If anything,
we're getting sucked deeper into the asterroid field.
Speaker 5 (01:24):
Okay, this might be the only time I can do this.
This is still day nine of Mission X in traveling
to the location of the solar diamonds. My crew and
I had found ourselves in an asteroid field. But more
about that later. I still have to catch you up
on what happened, So here it is videologue entry for
day two. We were able to get off Mars undetected
(01:49):
thanks to Grandpa, I mean, the Captain's planning. But we
still had to get used to living in space. So
for our second day we focused on getting used to
our new home. Thanks the Captain had left the list
of things to help.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Us get started. Look to you, guys, I can lift
five hundred pounds. Guess I'm pretty strong.
Speaker 5 (02:14):
After all, you didn't turn the gravity switch on Malachi.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Huh oh oow okay, so maybe I'm not that strong.
Speaker 5 (02:25):
The Captain has provided us with a rigorous strength training
to get our bodies used to life and space. We'll
all be going through this training every day to stay
strong during the mission, starting with twenty pushups.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
Start with.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
MC.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
My strength is more brain focused.
Speaker 5 (02:45):
Like I said, we'll all be going through the strength
training all of us.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
Roger that.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
MC, where'd you get a gym whistle? No time to waste?
Ready set go one? Do we have to do nineteen
more of these?
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Stop talking? Guy, I'm trying to concentrate.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
But it wasn't just our muscles that needed strengthening in
order to survive space. We also needed to make sure
our lungs could handle anything that might happen. We were
in space after all.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
According to this mission prep details left for us by
the captain, we need to practice holding our breath in
case one of our spacesuits fails. Each of our suits
are equipped with the backup oxygen tank, but we'll need
to hold our breath just long enough to activate it
and get back to safety. Let's see, my goggles are
showing that the longest one can hold their breath for
(03:54):
is three minutes.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Hmm.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
Guess that's what we're going after aim for. Start with
seeing how long each of us can last. AMC you
go first, Malachi, you can time her?
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Okay, what phew?
Speaker 4 (04:13):
How long was that? Malachi?
Speaker 3 (04:17):
Three seconds? We were counting in Mississippi?
Speaker 4 (04:20):
Right, three seconds counting, Malachi? Why didn't you just use
the wrist watch you're wearing, you know, the one you
got from the lab on Mars.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
This this watch doesn't work? Uh, at least I don't
think so. I haven't exactly been using it to tell time.
Speaker 5 (04:40):
Then what have you been using it for?
Speaker 3 (04:43):
Emergency jelly beans? Of course they fit perfectly in the
secret compartment, the captain showed me jelly beans. Well, I
was gonna ask you to help me, maybe invent some
cool laser attachment thing for it, but then I realized
it's the perfect place for storing jellybeans. And think about it,
(05:05):
we're looking for solar diamonds and we need to be
super quiet. When bam, someone's stomach starts growling, we're about
to get caught. But guess what, I've got jelly beans
in my watch day saved. Hey, it's genius and you
know it. MC.
Speaker 5 (05:26):
Anyway, we also took that day to learn more about
the Helix Nebula. Since we were going to be on
the ship for a while, we figured it would be
a good idea to see just what it was capable of.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
Okay, so this button right here is for defense mode.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
What about this button? Wait?
Speaker 4 (05:49):
Ki, that's the hyperdrive.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
I'm working on it.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
Well, at least we know it depressed if wherever attacked
by space pirates.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
You guys don't think we'll actually run into any space pirates, right?
Speaker 5 (06:10):
Uh? I doubt it, the captain said, all the pirates
were being dealt with by the adult pilots. That's one
of the main reasons we three were chosen for Mission X.
And besides, we got off planet undetected. I'm sure of it.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
And the probability of space pirates is highly unlikely, Malachi,
And based on my math, there's only a fourteen percent chance.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
Oh uh yeah, I knew that. Uh. It would be
kind of cool though. We could be like Miles the Brave,
you know, the kid we learned about in history class.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
Seek doubt it. The captain didn't find any pirates as
a kid.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
The captain, what does he have to do with Miles
the Brave?
Speaker 4 (06:53):
Well, everything he is Miles the Brave Kai.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Hold on just a minute. Miles the Brave is the captain.
He's Captain Miles, and no one told me.
Speaker 5 (07:10):
Uh what did he think his name was this whole time?
Speaker 3 (07:14):
Captain? Obviously that's not a name. Oh wait a sec
If Miles is the Captain, that would make him your
grandpa EMC yep. However, does he tell you all the
stories about his adventures? Does he still have the tell
me everything? Uh?
Speaker 5 (07:34):
I don't know if I could tell you everything, but
it is pretty cool to hear him talk about it.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
He was around our age when you get all that stuff, right.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
Man, I'm so jealous, But we can't all be as
cool as your grandpa, right.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
Huh?
Speaker 3 (07:52):
What's that noise?
Speaker 4 (07:57):
It appears the helix Nebula has picked up the distress signal.
How close are we close? Real close?
Speaker 5 (08:04):
Zeke hone in on the signal's exact location. Malachi set
a course as soon as Zeke pulls that up roger.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
That uh real quick. Though, we're not worried at all
that this might be pirates.
Speaker 5 (08:18):
We can't just ignore stress signal. Kai the Captain wouldn't
and I won't either.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Right, of course, setting a course for the distress signal,
please don't let it be pirates. Of course is set
punch it Here we go seek how much farther is
(08:46):
the clearing?
Speaker 4 (08:49):
If we can hit this upcoming opening and jump, we
can make it opening?
Speaker 3 (08:53):
Got it? Everyone, you're gonna want to hang on to something.
Speaker 5 (08:57):
I need to go more about the distress signal later,
because let me tell you that was just the beginning.
