Okay, that should hold steady MC again.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
I wasn't exactly planning on recording out here in space,
but since I have to fix the ship, I might
as well multitask. Don't worry, though, Grandpa, I mean captain.
The asteroids didn't seem to do too much damage.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
EMCU see weren't hit.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
Yeah, looking at it now, doesn't look too bad. Just
a few patches here and there. Definitely going to take
me a bit, though.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Copy that where'd I leave off.
Speaker 4 (01:38):
Oh yeah, day three, the rogue spiral squirrel. So this
is video lag for decor then. Actually, if you think
this is bad, it's nothing compared to what happened to
our ship that day. But we'll get to that in
a moment. It actually started out like another normal day
on the Helix Nebula, with a normal breakfast with the crew.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
All I'm saying is that jelly beans.
Speaker 6 (02:08):
Are fruit flavored, so they're obviously gonna have some fruit
inside of them.
Speaker 7 (02:12):
Nothing about what you said is factual, Kai, Yeah, I'm with.
Speaker 8 (02:16):
Zeke on this one. Malachi.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
Putting strawberry flavored jelly beans in your cereal doesn't make
it a balanced breakfast.
Speaker 7 (02:23):
Fine, ignore the science, there is no science, forget it.

Zeke, what's the update on the solar diamonds?
Speaker 7 (02:40):
You know, last I checked, we're still a few days
away from the coordinates. The captain gave us.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
Perfect We should make it in record time. Then, as
long as nothing goes wrong.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
What's going on?
Speaker 4 (02:54):
Everyone to the bridge now, Malachai, try and get control
of the ship. Zeke, figure out what's going on.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
Oh this isn't good. Define not good.
Speaker 7 (03:11):
We've flown straight into a cosmic storm.
Speaker 6 (03:15):
Well, that explains why I can't steer.
Speaker 8 (03:20):
Try and keep the helic steady.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
KI doing my best.
Speaker 5 (03:24):
I think I can map a course out of the storm.
I just need to EMC. We've got a problem.
Speaker 7 (03:32):
The storm's taken out our systems, which means what we
can't map a way out of this, and we.
Speaker 5 (03:38):
Have no way of controlling the ship.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
Not exactly an ideal situation to find ourselves in zeek.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
How do you explain it to me later?
Speaker 4 (03:53):
But apparently galactic storms are just clouds and energy running
into each other like a giant wrestling match, and all
that energy had short circuit in the helix nedulous navigation
and control system.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Basically, we were sitting ducks.
Speaker 8 (04:13):
Okay, you guys.
Speaker 6 (04:15):
I checked the food and we should be okay.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
No one needs to panic. Shit so much for not panicking.
Speaker 8 (04:23):
Oh you've gotta be kidding me?
Speaker 6 (04:26):
How uh, EMC, It's going to be okay, we'll figure
it out, right zek.
Speaker 7 (04:34):
Well, the calculations aren't looking great. Seek huh ohh I
mean yes.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
My first ever real mission and I can't make it
past day four?
Speaker 8 (04:47):
What's my grip not going to say.
Speaker 6 (04:49):
I think the captain would understand EMC. It's not like
we flew into a cosmic storm on purpose.
Speaker 8 (04:54):
But he put me in charge. I should know what
to do. He would.
Speaker 6 (04:59):
No, No, one's expecting you to do everything by yourself.
Speaker 5 (05:02):
MC.
Speaker 6 (05:03):
You've got Zeke and I, and if the captain put
you in charge, he trusts you to lead us. I mean,
we all know if you could, you'd probably even go
out and push our ship out of the storm yourself.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
That's it, Zeke, Are you crazy?
Speaker 6 (05:16):
You can't actually push the ship out of the storm.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
What?
Speaker 7 (05:19):
No, not that I just remembered. Even here, I was
doing some light reading up on the helix nebula light reading,
and there's a section all about the ship's power source.
Speaker 8 (05:33):
Yeah, the solar diamonds. Everyone knows that, Zeke.
Speaker 7 (05:37):
But not everyone knows how the solar diamonds are connected
to the ship. See this piece of the ship here. Normally,
the engine pulls the energy it needs from the diamonds,
which is why when the storm short circuited the engine,
we lost power. But if we can activate the solar
diamonds from outside the ship, we can jumpstart the engine
back up. That'll get the computer up and running just
(05:59):
long enough to pilot a out of the storm.
Speaker 6 (06:01):
Right, you said from outside the ship, I'll do it.
Speaker 8 (06:06):
The captain put me in charge, so I should do it.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
Are you sure?
Speaker 1 (06:10):
MC?
Speaker 8 (06:11):
If that's what.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
We need to do to get out of here and
complete our mission, then yeah, I'm sure.
Speaker 8 (06:17):
What do I need to do? Zeke?
Speaker 7 (06:18):
Our spacesuits are made to with stand energy clusters up
to a couple billion jewels, but only for a few minutes.
So you'll need to make your way to the solar
diamonds quickly.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
And how exactly do we plan on me doing that
without being pulled away from the ship.
Speaker 7 (06:37):
You'll need to activate the magnets on your boots as
soon as we open the hatch. We'll also attach a
cable to you for extra precaution.
Speaker 8 (06:43):
All right, let's do this.
Speaker 7 (06:50):
I'll ride EMC. Remember, get to the solar diamonds and
throw in the electro charge. I have attached your timer
to it, so press the button right before you throw
it in. Then close the panel and get back to
the hatch. You'll only have a few minutes. I got it,
opening hatch.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
Now active beating boot.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
No, yeah, I'd made it to the panel pressing charger.
Speaker 9 (07:17):
Now making my way back. You guys, get the hatch ready, MC.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
The cable pot me.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
You, guys, I think the storm short circuited my boot.
Speaker 7 (07:34):
You got ten seconds on the time, ram see you
need to pull yourself back to the hatch asap on it.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Huh yes, almost there. Yes, I'm here opening hatch.
Speaker 5 (07:50):
One second despair.
Speaker 7 (07:52):
Nice boom, it worked.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
We're back up and running.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
Oh great, Zeke, Kai, get us out of here, Roger.
Turns out I didn't need to figure it all out
by myself. With me activating the solar diamonds, Zeke monitoring
the system, and Kai piloting the helix nebula, we were

able to make it out of the storm safely.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
There, Zeke, how are we looking? Patches look good? Returning inside.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
Well, that's it for now. I'll log day five when
