Speaker 3 (01:02):
Grandpa, I mean Captain, If you see this, we're okay.
Malachi and Zeke intercepted a signal coming from another ship.
I'm sending you a copy of the signal as we speak,
just in case. It's too far away so we can't
see the name or serial number, so we're not able
to look it up in our system, but maybe you'll

(01:22):
be able to find the signal type in your database
over at the Space Alliance headquarters. All this to say,
we think we're being followed.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
We're definitely being followed. That mystery ship has been copying
our movements for the last ten minutes.

Speaker 5 (01:38):
I think you can shake them Kai.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
In open space. No way, they just keep following us.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Kuy's right. We need to find someplace to hide, Zeke,
look for the nearest planet. Kai. Just keep the ship
steady for now. If they are following us, we don't
want them to catch on that we know just yet,
especially since we don't know whether or not they're on
our side. Roger, as they're doing that. This is videologue

(02:05):
entry for day seven. We just left the planet Jura
with all the new parts installed in the Helix Nebula.
Everything was going fine until.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Huh, there's a ship flagging us.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Well, at least we know it's not space pirates. Space
pirates wouldn't let us know they're here. Pass them through, Zeke,
let's see what they want. This is MC Junior pilot
of the Space Alliance and leader of the Helix Nebula.
State your business.

Speaker 6 (02:39):
Well, hello there, my name's Xandern. This here is my ship,
Maverick and not is your space ship passing through? And
I thought i'd say howdy?

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Oh, howdy, Oh, interesting spaceship you got here.

Speaker 6 (02:54):
What'd you call it? The Helux Nebula.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
That's correct, a fine name or.

Speaker 6 (03:00):
A mightifined ship, if I do say so myself. What
y'all doing out here in these parts anyways? Pretty far
from Space Alliance territory if that's where you really come from.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
That is, as I said, mister Xanders, Sir, I'm a
junior pilot for the Space Alliance. We're just passing through.

Speaker 6 (03:16):
Yeah, just passing through. Huh and uh, y'all said, y'all
are part of the Space Alliance. Well that's mighty interesting
because y'all aren't coming up in my system.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Excuse me, your system?

Speaker 6 (03:30):
Well, no, my system per se more like a giant system.
A registry. Actually, didn't you know every ship under Space
Alliance is listed in a registree, and I hadn't seen
a ship called the Helix Nebula in there. Well, well,
if I didn't know any better, I'd say, y'all are
space pirates?

Speaker 3 (03:50):
What that's crazy? The Space Alliance is the one that
built the Helix Nebula. No way could we be space pirates.

Speaker 7 (03:58):
Actually, the Helix and beyall will be registered in the
public database due to the secret nature of Mission X.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
But the only unregistered ships are uh, space pirate ships.

Speaker 6 (04:11):
Now I'll ask you again what you doing in these parts?

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Uh? That's classified? But trust me, we're here under orders
of Captain Miles himself. Now, if you could just let
us go our way, we'd appreciate it.

Speaker 6 (04:27):
Sure, Captain Miles here right? What would the famous Captain
Miles need a couple of kids? Fors hey for your information?

Speaker 4 (04:36):
Captain Miles is her grandpa.

Speaker 6 (04:39):
All right, and my mother's the queen of the Milky Way.
So y'all gonna come quietly? Are I'm gonna have to
use force?

Speaker 5 (04:47):
Come quietly?

Speaker 4 (04:48):
Where's he trying to take us?

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Listen, we're not space pirates, Sorry, little lady.

Speaker 6 (04:54):
I just don't believe you. And if y'all ain't gonna
come quietly, well, force it is.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Kai look out?

Speaker 6 (05:05):
Yeah, what was that?

Speaker 5 (05:08):
He's got a poach beam?

Speaker 6 (05:09):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (05:10):
What beam? A poach beam? Kai, it's what bounty hunters
used to capture pirate ships.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Bounty hunters.

Speaker 6 (05:17):
Oh did I forget to mention that? Yeah? I'm a
bounty hunter, the best one there is this side of
the galaxy. If I y'all I get comfy because your
shit is gonna be mine in just a few seconds. Oh,
y'all get to poach beam all you want, but I

(05:38):
get you eventually.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Oh no, you don't. Kai go into hybrid drive.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
No way ahead of you.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
I don't feel so good.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
I think we lost him. Great, Zeke, check our surroundings.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
Hi, let's get back on course checking now.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
Take that.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
No one cannot fly. Malachi stands, So.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Kai get us out of here. I can't.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
The controls are jammed. Told you a pirates. I'm the
best bounty hunter there is. I just captured you.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
How are we looking, Kai?

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Mystery shifts still on our.

Speaker 7 (06:35):
Tail, Zeke, I'm sorry, MC, but according to these readings,
the closest planet is a couple thousand parsecs. Even if
we go into hyperdrive, it'll take us a few days
to even reach it.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
All right, Kai, stay on course for now. We've still
got a ways to go before we hit the location
of the solar diamonds. Zeke, keep looking for someplace we
can lose them until we know if their friend or foe.
We can't risk leading them to the solared diamonds.

Speaker 5 (07:03):
You got it, Roger, That.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Looks like we're still being followed. But let me finish
this video log entry. As embarrassing as it was, we'd
just been captured by Xander the Bounty Hunter after locking
the Helix Nebula in his poach beam. Xander had us
come on board his ship Maverick, where he locked us
in a holding cell. And since we couldn't reveal the

(07:29):
details of mission x there was nothing we could say
to make him believe we were there on strict Space
Alliance orders. So there we were trapped on the Maverick,
accused of being Space pirates posing as Space Alliance pilot.

(07:49):
Listen here, bounty hunter, We're not space pirates.

Speaker 6 (07:54):
Let us out make all the noise. You won't, little lady.
I'm just doing my job keeping space safe and all
from you varments.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
We are wearing Space Alliance uniforms. Why would space pirates
wear Space Alliance uniforms?

Speaker 6 (08:08):
How would I know? Maybe you're trying to trick us
decent humans into trusting You said steal more stuff. Well
I don't know why space pirates do half the stuff
y'all do?

Speaker 5 (08:18):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (08:18):
Well, by that logic, how do we know you are
not a Space pirate?

Speaker 5 (08:23):
You could be trying to trick us so you can
steal stuff.

Speaker 6 (08:26):
Well, that's just rude. I'm an upstanding citizen. I am now, Shush,
I need to concentrate. Just settle down in your hold. Sale.
It's gonna be a couple of days before we get
to our destination.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
A couple days. Guys, what about Mission X. We're already
running behind schedule. At this rate, we'll never complete the mission.

Speaker 7 (08:45):
Well, we can't tell them about Mission X. That'll compromise
our search for the solar diamonds.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
No way am I letting this DIY ruin our mission?
Where are you taking us Zander to see you?

Speaker 6 (08:57):
Judge? Of course they'll decide what to do with you
after they pay me for catching you. That is.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
What's this cluster coming up on the navigator, Zeke?

Speaker 7 (09:14):
Looks like a trash yard for broken shifts. Don't worry, though,
Kai and I will map away around it to avoid
taking any damage. We just got done repairing the Helix
nebula after that asteroid belt.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Anyway, how close is the trash yard, Zeke?

Speaker 5 (09:30):
Yeah? Half a hyperdrive jump?

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Why Malachi head towards the trash yard.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
But that's dangerous. Everyone knows those yards are full of
loose minds and space serpents.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
Space serpents aren't real, Malachi.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
Yeah, well did I mention loose minds?

Speaker 3 (09:50):
You guys, we don't have a lot of options here.
You trust me, right?

Speaker 4 (09:56):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (09:57):
Yeah, you know we trust you in then just do it.

Speaker 6 (10:02):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
I have a bad feeling about this MC.

Speaker 5 (10:08):
What exactly is the plan here?

Speaker 3 (10:11):
The plan We're gonna hide in the trash yard. Shake
this mystery ship off us once and for all.
