Speaker 1 (00:00):
This program features the individual opinions of the hosts, guests,
and callers, and not necessarily those of the producer, the station,
its affiliates, or sponsors. This is True Crime Tonight.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Welcome to True Crime Tonight on iHeartRadio. We're talking true
crime all the time. I'm Stephanie Leidecker here as always
with my two favorite true crime ladies, Courtney Armstrong and
Body Move In, and of course we have Taha and
Adam in the control room. And listen. It is Tuesday,
November twenty fifth, and we have a stacked night of headlines.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
The fallout from the Epstein.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Case continues, as former Harvard president Larry Summers says he
regrets his relationship. Also, final autopsy results for the Irish
fashion designer who died mysteriously on a mon talk yacht
last summer. We talked about this a lot. Those results
are in and her parents want more answers. Plus the
(01:02):
adult accomplice to the Slenderman attacker that we talked about
last night, Morgan Geyser. He is speaking out for the
very first time and I think we'll all be very
surprised with what he has to say.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Ladies, we made it to Tuesday.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
Oh goodness, yeah, are you going today?
Speaker 5 (01:20):
Ray?
Speaker 6 (01:20):
In our review mirror, We're looking on to Wednesday, and
then guess what, it's Thursday.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Yes, it is exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
We are officially in Thanksgiving week, and I can say personally,
I'm so thankful to be with you guys tonight, and
anyone listening who is in the throes of cooking and
planning and shopping and all the things. Let this be
a little safe space for you to relax and join
us at our proverbial kitchen table.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
We got you.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
We know this is a possibly stressful time, hopefully a
beautiful time.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Regardless.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
We want to hear from you eight eight eight three
one crime, or you can leave us a talk back
on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
In fact, let's go to a talkback right now.
Speaker 7 (02:02):
Look, the Harvard guy only came clean because his names
were in the file. He's had years to come clean
and actually deal with this situation and has not. So
I don't think he deserves any kind of mercy at
all because he did nothing all of these years. He
should have come clean. And here's the thing. Trump has
some more to release the files than any other administration
(02:23):
before him, and I do think he should receive some
credit there.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Fair, totally fair.
Speaker 6 (02:28):
I totally one hundred percent agree with her about the
former Harvard president Larry Summers. However, I well, and I
do give her partial credit for Trump right, noosan.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
To like he's calling it a hoax. Now, it's not like,
come on.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
It is complicated.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
It's hard to play along when at some point and
I agree, like for sure, no question, this is the
time and the administration that has released more information than
ever before. I agree, fact the end exclamation point. However,
on the one hand, you're saying it's a hoax. On
the other you're opening an investigation real time because there's
(03:07):
information to investigate.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
So that gets just really confusing.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
So I think there's a high five on all fronts
and also a pox on all houses. I don't know
the answer, but I'm I'm confused and right down the middle,
and I'm grateful for the talking me too.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
I'm given a mid five.
Speaker 8 (03:25):
I'm not going high five because in addition to the hoax,
in addition to sorry, dragging it out, there's no other
way to say it, dragging it out. Also, it is
under Trump's administration, who yes, more information has come out
than any other. It's also under the administration in which
Gillayane Maxwell, co conspirator of predator billionaire Jeffrey Ebstein, is
(03:49):
now moved from federal prison to a really cushy vacation place.
So mid five not high five.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
And by the way, what you're saying, Courtney is so clear,
because I think we're seeing this loop that we're all
feeling maddened by. On the one hand, Geelane Maxwell, who
was convicted in serving a twenty year federal sentence, that
was happening, but somehow somebody did an interview with her,
and somehow, in the dark of night, just days later,
she got transferred to a air quotes facility or what
(04:21):
seems like a prison spot. Right, how does that happen?
And how is that appropriate? Number one?
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Number two?
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Why are we not just seeing full transparency? Throw all
the files in. I agree, this is the generation and
the administration that wants full transparency.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
High fives. Let's go show us some transparency.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Let it rip whatever names are in there, if it's
from the last administration, the administration before, there's no worries.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Let it all out.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Because Larry Sumner's who were talking about tonight, perfect example, like, yes,
I think it's really important that he has spoken up responsibility,
acknowledges his fault and is regretful. But to our talkbacks point, yeah,
this is because you're being called to the carpet. We're
also seeing this. What's Prince Andrew. So in case you
(05:14):
don't have all of the information, Courtney Armstrong, tell us
what we need to know.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Are you a candle right now? You just lit a.
Speaker 8 (05:22):
White You literally just lit a white candle. It's jasmine
and current.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
I hear you.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
We should all okay, I'm gonna light my white candidate too.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
Oh one right here?
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Oh okay, I like somehow behind all right, I'm lighting
mine as well.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
We are candlegate.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Yeah, I understand. And body, do you have all of
the detail. Yeah, you've been talking about the bit right.
Speaker 6 (05:46):
So these emails that were released, you know, there's twenty
thousand pages of Jeffrey Epstein in this document dump and
they've been releasing they show this like extensive contact between
the former Harvard president Larry Sumners and Jeffrey Epstein. You know,
he's the billionaire pedophile, leading to former Harvard president Larry
Sumner stepping down from multiple public positions and to our
(06:09):
talkbacks point, he was contacting him up until twenty nineteen,
long after Jeffrey Epstein was convicted in two thousand and.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Eight, and so asking him all kinds of really impersonal thing.
Yeah right, he was asking for relationship relationships. Yeah, you
know he had this personal relationship. He was asking him
for advice about his relationships. You know, he discussed gender intelligence,
workplace consequences for men in general politics. He just in
personal matters, including a romantic pursuit of a mentee, like
(06:43):
you know.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
It just I yes, yeah, I know how old was this?
Speaker 6 (06:47):
So I agree with the talkback, Like he had all
this information the whole He had the knowledge that Jeffrey
Epstein was convicted, and he was still communicating him about
with him about personal matters and very crazy.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
It's really inappropriate by every standard on every level. And
again we even know Prince Andrew obviously also we've seen
him be stripped of all of his many titles. The
Crown and the Palace have really relinquished Andrew of any
of his fanciness. He's even been removed from his actual house.
(07:24):
And listen, the Prime Minister is asking for even more
information from Prince Andrew they want Prince Andrew to speak
up because he may have some vital information. And frankly,
I think here in the US we would like some
accountability as well, like Prince Andrew should come here and
give us some a testimony because it seems as though
(07:46):
he may have some key information that may put a
pin in this loop of endless saga surrounding.
Speaker 6 (07:55):
Jeffrey Epstein, right, and Larry Sumners is acting that let's
make clearer, just to like our talkback said, he's acting like, oh, well,
I'm coming forward. Meanwhile, he's exposed in these emails, and
he holds a lot of like prestigious titles. He's the
former Harvard president, he was the secretary, and he was
a White House advisor. He holds a tendured university position
(08:17):
that is, you know, kind of difficult to revoke. And
he's like, oh, and he's on the board of Open
AI and he's like, oh, I'm going to step down.
I'm stepping down from these things. So he's acting like
the moral like he has the moral authority, but he's
really just Caughton the Spider Web exactly.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
So true Well said, this is true crime.
Speaker 8 (08:35):
Tonight.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
We are on iHeartRadio.
Speaker 8 (08:36):
I'm Courtney Armstrong, lucky enough to be here with Foddy
Movin and Stephanie Leidecker. We're talking about the twenty thousand
page Jeffrey Ebstein document dump, convicted pedophile Epstein. Might I add,
and in the wake of all of that, former Harvard
President Larry Sumners has stepped down because of the implications.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
We want to hear.
Speaker 8 (08:59):
Your thoughts were They're at eighty eight three one crime
or hit us up on the talkbacks. By the way,
Melinda Gates had it right right. So Bill Gates is
now ex wife. We heard this years ago. She was
standing up being like, you know what, my husband, Bill Gates.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
By the way, it's astounding that she was so fourth
in the spotlight about it.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
Well, she came out swinging.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
A long time ago, really a long time ago, and
had really no reason to other than to say their relationship,
his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein is the reason for her divorce,
quite frankly, and she was uncomfortable with their dynamic. High
five to Melinda Gates. I know we talk a lot
about billionaires that do not make a difference.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
She was screaming from the rooftops.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
So long ago, which was probably a really scary place
to be and I think now we're listening and again
bring on the names, because again this is not a
political thing. I think all who are involved should pay
the price.
Speaker 6 (10:01):
Well, speaking of the former Prince Andrew, the UK Prime
Minister has weighed in on given his statement on what
he thinks should happen. The UK Prime Minister, his name
is kir Stammer, said that former Prince Andrew should testify
if he has relevant information about Jeffrey epstcen as US
(10:23):
investigators are seeking his cooperation. The former Prince, let's say,
the former disgrace Prince exactly, and now he goes by
Andrew Mountbatton Windsor has long face scrutiny over his relationship
with Jeffrey Epstein. The US House Oversight Committee is currently
seeking an interview with former Prince Andrew on the record,
(10:45):
So they want something on the record and with a transcript.
Prince and former Prince Andrew's royal titles and honors were
formally removed by King Charles the Third in late twenty
twenty five amid ongoing allegations which you know for Prince
Andrew denies.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Yeah, there was just moments ago though, and by the way,
Prince Charles or King Charles, I should say, it seemed
as though that was out of nowhere. You know, he
got his hand slapped. Remember there's been a movie about this.
We've seen the interviews. We've seen him say I don't
even know this girl, denying his relationship with victim Virginia Gupre,
who has since lost her life by suicide back.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
In April of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Again, Prince Andrew's like been under the gun on this one,
and now just a month and a half ago, they
even took a bigger leap, seemingly with no reason, and
it felt it.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
I think we even talked about it here.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
It's like, huh, that is a crack in the armor,
because there was nothing that we were aware of that
precipitated his fallout, for him to get you know, kicked
out of his house and Fergie to get kind of
wrapped into it. They knew it was coming, This storm
was brewing, and I think, honestly, hereing us, we're just
feeling it for the first time. And yeah, it's brewing,
(12:04):
and the storm is here.
Speaker 6 (12:05):
Right. While the US House Oversight Committee has asked former
France Andrew to sit for this transcribed interview about his
history with the billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein as a request.
So far, he hasn't acknowledged and speaking an route to
the G twenty summit in Johannesburg, UK Prime Minister Keirsturmer
declined to address you know, the situation directly, but he
(12:28):
reiterated his long standing view that anyone with relevant information
in cases like this, you know, Jeffrey Epstein, should provide it.
So he's kind of like not giving like this formal statement,
but he's like, hey, listen, I'm standing by what I said.
Anybody that has information should be cooperating.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
And by the way, I have a feeling on this.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
I have a sneaking suspicion that Prince Andrew was on
behalf of the crown, was gallivanting around the world and
taking money.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
We know this.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
He was taking money from all kinds of people Epstein included,
and by the way, in small weird amounts. Even Fergie,
who I love, Yeah, Sarah Ferguson, Prince Andrew's ex wife,
who is now also kicked out at the club, was
also taking cash from Jeffrey Epstein for you know, petty stuff.
I have a stinking suspicion that and again this is
(13:17):
a personal theory, allegedly, allegedly, allegedly that we will find
out there are facts to represent that Prince Andrew was
representing the Crown for cash and somehow wrapped into this ring.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
Oh, I think we have to follow the money.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
Wait wait, wait, can you clarify? Are you saying you
think that the actual crown no ties?
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Okay only no, no, no, no, quite the opposite. I respect
the Crown, I love the Crown. I was raised to respect.
I love that Princess Kate in that I love all
of them, and I feel for them, and I miss
the Queen. However, my personal opinions aside. I think Prince
Andrew was a wild goose and was living large and
taking cash and representing the Crown, likely falsely, and presenting
(14:02):
himself in a very privileged position to be a high
roller and influential, and that may in fact have infected
policy or influenced decisions in world events, or at least
in the things that he could influence that were maybe
not super big. But I think when you look in
the math, we're going to find that Prince Andrew was
(14:24):
appropriate to kick him out. I agree, and it's a
plumber like, can we give Princess Kate a break? I know,
I know she's been through a lot, right, she's been
through too much? Yeah, and that Markle's making me crazy.
I want to talk about that at a later time.
We should call Betty, Yes, we should call Betty the stuff.
Maybe Betty can kill me.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Well.
Speaker 8 (14:44):
She has theories on the why now of former Prince Andrew,
which we can get to later. But listen, keep it
here because when we come back, there are new autopsy
findings in the mon talk yacht depth of designer Martha
nolan oslattera family has a lot of questions and we
want to hear if you have questions on anything that's
(15:05):
going on in the news. Eighty eight three to one Prime,
keep it here. At True Crime Tonight, we are talking
true crime all the time.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Welcome back to True Crime Tonight on iHeartRadio. We're talking
true crime all the time. I'm Stephanie Leidecker here, of course,
with my favorite true crime chicas, Courtney Armstrong and Body Moven,
and we are feeling.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
All kinds of fired up.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
We're following the money right now, so we're talking about
Jeffrey Epstein and Larry Sumners, who's also kind of resigning
from his position at Harvard, and Boddy, you had just
said something so interesting about his standing in the Treasury Department.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
I don't know where I fully absorbed that. Can you
repeat that?
Speaker 6 (15:52):
So Larry Summers, he was the United States Secretary of
Treasury from nineteen ninety ninety two thousand and one under
Bill Clinton, and then he immediately left, you know, after
the presidency ended in two thousand and one, and he
went to Harvard and that's when he became the twenty
seventh president of Harvard University.
Speaker 8 (16:10):
Okay, this president Larry Summers in addition to having what
appears to be a real hozy relationship with you know,
convicted pedophile Jeffrey Ebstein.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
So as president of.
Speaker 8 (16:24):
Harvard, he suggested that women might lack intrinsic aptitude for
science and engineering.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
Can I just throw that out?
Speaker 6 (16:32):
I found, mister Summers, I would like you to come
say that to my face.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
The end I was, you took the words out of
my math. That's why I'm in. I'm in. Can I
do a face off? Can you do a face off
with our.
Speaker 4 (16:45):
Larry, I do a lot, like I really do.
Speaker 6 (16:47):
I do a lot of robotics and whatnot, and a
lot of circuit boards and whatnot.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
And one of my.
Speaker 6 (16:52):
Goals was to show girls on social media, young girls specifically,
that they can do it. They can make these fancy
lights and they can do you know, things with programming
and micro python and things like.
Speaker 4 (17:03):
Listen, I'm going to go on a tangent.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
Here, go forward.
Speaker 6 (17:05):
For this guy to be a president of one of
the highest education facilities in our country to say that
women might not have the aptitude for stem you know,
I want to say it to my face, Say it
to my face.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
That's say it to her face, you know.
Speaker 4 (17:19):
But anyway, it is the truth.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
And by the way, we're talking Harvard, we're talking in
the Treasury and again again again we're talking, you know,
as our first talkback said earlier, the Trump administration, the
Clinton administration.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
Again, we do not care. All things are being played
right now.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
And on the one hand, I do respect the fact
that he has accepted some level of responsibility. He spoke
out to even his class to acknowledge what he regretfully
did with his relationship with Epstein, and it continued and
it was, you know, frankly, very personal, which is really
weird after somebody has been convicted of sex crimes.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
But here we are.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
That's better than denial and closing and sealing and hiding
any things.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
It must be. And who else we got? Come on, like, yeah,
step up.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
And share your thoughts because again, big clearing of the
house at this point seems to be required.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (18:17):
One last thing, because we were talking about following the
money in this situation and the amount of money that
this convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein now dead, the amount of
money that went through his pause is a ton, including
nine point one million dollars donated to Harvard in a
ten year period. Oh really what nine point What that
(18:40):
period is of time nineteen ninety eight to two thousand
and eight. Okay, so Larry Larry Summers was president of
Harvard from two thousand and one to two thousand and six.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
I believe, Okay, follow the money, baby, I'm telling you
we're all looking for a list. We're all looking for
as I think we should be looking at transactions, who
is benefiting from what and who is paying the tab
on young girls being sexually abused and trafficked.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
And again it's happening real time.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
I believe the reason that there is such a big
blanket cover up is because they don't want it to stop.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
It's not that they're even Penny's good, right, it was
the money's coming in.
Speaker 6 (19:26):
Still, I think the influence is just as intriguing to me,
Like you guys are like all about the money and
I'm here for it, Like, yeah, I'm here for that.
But I want to know, like, for instance, Prince Andrew right,
if he was trying to influence Parliament or the Prime
Minister on haalf of Jeffrey Epstein, why what were those conversations,
(19:48):
That's what I want to know, And.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
What policy was being affected here in the US based
on all of these transactions.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
That's why it's relevant to us.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
This is not just a sexy story or something that's
busy in or that's out there. It is affecting every
one of us on a real time basis, because it's
affecting the policy that we're all living under real time.
And I think the gig is nobody wants it to stop.
The Epstein being gone, he was one piece of the puzzle,
and a really big one. We should just make that
(20:18):
very clear, but in exposing him in his contacts, we're
also potentially stopping the money train that's happening right under
our nose. And I think that's why there's this big,
huge block to to money train.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
Let's go to a talk bag.
Speaker 9 (20:36):
Hey, Chicos, this is Mary Kay from Cincinnati, Ohio, and
I'm a little behind. I'm listening to the Hailey episode
about Epstein, and the question that I have is what
can we do as adults now to support these youths
and especially like the caller that is from I think
(20:57):
it's Venezuela, what can we do to help?
Speaker 3 (21:00):
Thanks?
Speaker 8 (21:01):
I believe she's referencing and thank you for that talk back.
I believe she's referencing someone who has reached out to us,
Brittany in the Philippines. She's an American citizen in the
Philippines who works with victims of sex trafficking.
Speaker 4 (21:15):
She fights human trafficking.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (21:16):
She gosh, what how what do you do to help
those people? You know?
Speaker 6 (21:20):
I mean, the only thing that I can think of is,
you know, be there and listen to them when they
need to vent, because it's really, gosh, it's got to
be the most harrowing job ever to be you know
somebody that's you know, fighting human trafficking day to day.
And then you know, believe victims, believe women right an
anybody of course, but by the way we are and
(21:41):
to your point, it's really it does fall more on women.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
We have to believe each other, and we have to
allow there to be a safe space for people to
come out to talk to share. We are all witnessing
real time, forty women gathering on Capitol Hill who have
been saying the same thing, repeating the same song for
decades that even now are being shut down. You know,
like it took Marjorie Taylor Green to sort of jump
(22:07):
in and join the conversation to actually have this be
actionable in some bananas universe. So how is it now
We're talking about something that happened decades ago and continues
today in my humble opinion, and will continue unless we
keep screaming from the rooftops.
Speaker 4 (22:24):
Yeah, totally, this is true crime.
Speaker 6 (22:25):
Tonight on iHeartRadio, I'm body move in here with Courtney
and Stephanie Lydecker. We're right in the middle of talking
about all this Jeffrey Epstein fallout, Right, there's been a
lot of fallout that's been happening. If you want to
weigh in, give us a call eight to eight thirty
one Crime, or use the talkbacks on the iHeartRadio app
and you'll be on the show.
Speaker 4 (22:41):
Courtney, I understand. Even Casey Anthony has weighed in what you.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
Are correct, My friend Casey Anthony.
Speaker 8 (22:49):
Hop Mom top Mom has such a nice so acquitted,
very important, acquitted murder defendant Casey Anthony. She indeed has
spoken out against journalists. Megan Kelly. So Megan Kelly recently
commented about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Ebstein on an episode
(23:10):
and it was November twelfth of her Serious XM program,
which I believe has something like four million listeners.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
Don't help me, right, No, I think you're right about that.
Speaker 8 (23:21):
But on that program, Megan Kelly, the journalist discussed Jeffrey
Ebstein's abuse of underaged girls, saying his victimization of teens
was disgusting, but it wasn't as bad as if he'd
been abusing younger children. So it was a qualification.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
Yourls like think that's right, we have that distinction.
Speaker 8 (23:42):
That's right, right, that's right, and so yes, even an
including defendant Casey Anthony. By the way, she's now branding herself.
She's a researcher, consultant, she's an advocate on social media
for what well.
Speaker 4 (23:59):
I mean, Casey Anthony, Are we really?
Speaker 2 (24:01):
I mean, we have to talk about Casey Anthony at
some point too, because, yeah, because was such an anti
Casey Anthony person. I was pregnant when she was her
trial was going on. I don't know, I was obsessed
with that case, right. I watched Nancy Grace every day
me too. I feel like I followed that case real time.
She was enemy beyond enemy. We've maybe talked about this
(24:25):
a little bit behind the scenes cut too, so you know,
we've talked to her lawyers over the years, and it
just seemed like a travesty of justice cut to I
watched her documentary.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
I don't even know where I watched it.
Speaker 8 (24:37):
It was her was it on Peacock or something was
standing there. She was cooking eggs a lot, and like
every third at her stove. Yeah, just pontificating and cooking
some scrambled eggs.
Speaker 3 (24:49):
And maybe it's because she has this pretty blue whies
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
She sort of wore on me and I was like
maybe Casey's now Casey's honest. Maybe maybe we got it wrong.
And I second guessed myself, did you and I did?
Speaker 3 (25:01):
I did. I watched it all girls sitting and that
was when you.
Speaker 4 (25:03):
Start second guessing yourself.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
Call me and I'll tell you about it exactly this
is exactly right. I stopped the next day.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
And she like literally proverbally bitch slapped me. For lack
of a better term, She's like, what just for people who.
Speaker 4 (25:16):
Who might not know Casey Anthony. She was on trial
for her daughter.
Speaker 6 (25:21):
Her daughter, Hayley Kaylee Anthony, was found near her home
kind of like wrapped in plastic.
Speaker 4 (25:27):
It was just a terrible situation.
Speaker 6 (25:29):
She was continuing to lie to the police about so
many different things, Like anyway. One of her defenses in
the case was that it was her father that accidentally
let Kaylee drown, and she was scared to talk about
it because her father had been sexually abusing her for many,
many many years.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
Okay, I thought that was pretty compelling.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
When I watched what I really did, I know, I know,
you know, I'm going to like cue the hate mail,
go ahead real time and scream at.
Speaker 4 (25:58):
Me, and I am I just believe when like a no.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
I did watch it and I came into work the
next day and I was like, I don't know, Casey
Anthony got to my head.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
She's in my head. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Maybe she was abused by the dad, and maybe the
dad did something really bad, and Casey was very young,
and maybe she had been abused, and maybe because of that,
she just wanted to keep the secrets.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
Going and she was hoping for the family.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
And maybe that's why she was dancing on the table
and having a LaVita Loca on and getting tattooed.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
Would like live the best life. Maybe Casey, maybe she
was being truthful.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
And then I remembered a couple of things that were
totally untruthful, and then I got very confused. Told me
I was an idiot Zanny the nanny, and then I
haven't really thought about it since. But man, and Courtney's
crazy about her lawyer. By the way, she loves that lawyer.
She's crazy for him.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
Bias.
Speaker 4 (26:51):
He smells so good.
Speaker 6 (26:52):
I met him at crime con. He's a really nice
guy and he smelled so good. I was like, WHOA, okay, Bias.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
Yeah, that was a crazy trial. I did think she
was guilty and then she got off and it was
very performative. And then when I watched the documentary, I
did get sucked in and I felt for her. And
clearly I do not know the answer, but I know
it's very divisive.
Speaker 6 (27:15):
So the reason she the reason she's making this comment
though about Megan Kelly and being you know, so up
in arms about it, is because she used her being
a victim of sexual assault as a defense. M kind
but if that was true, it very well might be
true that her dad did you know something to her
when she was a young girl, and for that if
(27:35):
if that is true, I feel terrible for her, But
I firmly believe she's responsible for the death of her child.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
And Doctor Phil. Did you ever see the parents on
Doctor Phil where they got into.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
It really weird?
Speaker 4 (27:48):
Yeah, I've seen every single thing that's they've been in.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
Yeah. And didn't they do a light detector test too?
On A and A? Did they pass ltetor I don't remember.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
I think they did pass.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
They pass?
Speaker 8 (27:59):
Yeah, So briefly, just to throw out another name because
everyone is fired up.
Speaker 3 (28:06):
I know, I'm with you.
Speaker 8 (28:08):
Everyone is speaking out, including Elizabeth Smart. So Elizabeth Smart,
she's thirty eight, years old. Now, she was kidnapped and
survived really horrible abuse of all kinds, inclusing sexual abuse
for nine months during her kidnapping. And she's noted that
(28:28):
the couple who victimized her, who kidnapped and victimized her,
She says they bear a striking similarity to both Jeffrey
Ebstein are convicted pedophile and his co conspirator Gilaine Maxwell
also convicted. So, yeah, this happened back if you guys
don't really remember, it was two thousand and two. Elizabeth
(28:49):
Smart was only fourteen years old and she was abducted
by a guy named Brian David Mitchell and a woman
named Wanda Barzid.
Speaker 3 (28:59):
Yes, so she drew comparisons with nothing alike. Oh my gosh,
she's so disgusting. They are gross and like they just
don't look.
Speaker 4 (29:08):
I don't understand you.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
No, not physically, but I think she's saying the grooming
process because remember Elizabeth Smart was found very close to home.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
No no, no, no, a.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
Physical resemblance, more of an emotional resemblance because Elizabeth Smart
at the time, I had the benefit of actually doing
an interview with Elizabeth Smart, and.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
She is a rock star she's wondering.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
It is so incredibly moving and she's the real deal,
what a survivor. But I think what she's saying really
more about the grooming process, because you'll remember Elizabeth was
found not too far from home, and many were saying,
why didn't you run?
Speaker 3 (29:43):
Why didn't you go home? Why didn't you? Why didn't you?
Speaker 2 (29:45):
And it's because she was under the influence of these
two psychopaths that were abusing her fully right by the way,
in the last segment, we were talking about Casey Anthony
and I was like, Courtney Armstrong just loved her defense attorney.
Speaker 8 (30:00):
Jose Bias. But like, correction, Codd because I said, Kirk Nurmi,
it's a total accident. He was Jody Arius's defense attorney.
But Kirk, you literally are always on my mind.
Speaker 3 (30:13):
So it's hard time Courtney is really if I've been in.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
The I could like I would be a rich woman
if I had a nickel for every time Kirk Nurmi,
Jody Aaris's defense attorney, comes up in a conversation, I'm like,
I get it. We've interviewed he's by the way, he's lovely,
but it had had a complicated relationship with the law
because of his Can you imagine being assigned to the
Jody Aris case if you don't know who Jody the
(30:38):
best he did the best he could write and then
sound like Jody Aarius basically like stabbed her boyfriend a
bajillion times and killed Travis her boyfriend ex boyfriend, I
should say. And she not Jose Bias. It was Kirk
Nurmi had to go and represent her, and she had.
She tried to get off of the case and she
(31:00):
he said aloud to right yep. And by the way,
we went over this on scientific Sunday for the crime Lab.
Metadata was really really crucial in convicting her.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
So yay habout that she is like.
Speaker 2 (31:14):
A singer and she does little plays you remember Chrison,
And she loves a Christmas tale.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
Do you remember she was like doing handstand gymnastics.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
Yeah, what a weirdo.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
What a weirdo. By the way, wouldn't you love to
interview her?
Speaker 8 (31:30):
Though?
Speaker 3 (31:31):
No, oh I would would you? Well, oh, yes, you're right,
I really would.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
And by the way, she now looks like a librarian
in the recent photos that I've seen, and she sings
in the choir behind bars and loves a holiday tune.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
Yeah, I heard that very Christmas.
Speaker 4 (31:49):
Let's go to a talk doc.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
Let's do it, hey, ladies, it seems like calling for Canada.
Speaker 10 (31:55):
Just listening to the segment about seven six four, thank
you for partying on and it is so important.
Speaker 3 (32:02):
I have a quick question.
Speaker 10 (32:03):
I was wondering if you know what online platforms this
group is operating on, just so I know to avoid
them and to tell others with kids what to avoid.
Thank you so much by.
Speaker 4 (32:15):
Thank you, Yeah, thank you, Ainsley. And it's really appropriate question.
Speaker 6 (32:19):
I've kind of been like, you know, secretly obsessing about
seven six four for a couple of days now after
reading you know the victims.
Speaker 4 (32:27):
Uh and uh, I think it's Andy Tate.
Speaker 8 (32:30):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (32:31):
His son was a victim on November sixth of this year.
His Facebook post yesterday was just it really hit me hard.
And I can tell you Ainsley that these these people,
it's a it's a decentralized group, meaning that they don't
really have to communicate with one another in order to
you know, go through their objectives. So they're on every
(32:54):
single social media platform. Literally you'd have to be off
everything they're on X. They're on gaming platforms like the
Minecraft and roadblocks. They are on Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, snapchat, twitch, stream, discord, Facebook,
I mean, every single thing that you can message somebody
(33:17):
on they're part of.
Speaker 8 (33:19):
And just to bring everyone up to speed, the seven six'
four they are a violent online extremist group that targets,
children and federal investigators are really getting the word out
and heightening the level of. Alarm, honestly every single one
(33:40):
of the bureau's fifty six field offices is handling at
least one case tied to seven sixty, four or it's.
Offshoots to piggyback on what you, said body being decentralized
and offshoots and some having different.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
Names so that is who they.
Speaker 4 (33:58):
Are and you know the story told yesterday Of Bryce.
Speaker 6 (34:01):
Tate he was a fifteen year old boy and he
got a text message at four o'clock in the afternoon
and by seven SIX i think he was.
Speaker 4 (34:12):
Gone it took three, hours only three hours.
Speaker 6 (34:16):
More and what they do is they they look at you,
know they get they get information about, you LIKE i
know you go to the school and you, Know i'm
friends With stacy who you're friends, with and you, KNOW
i think you're cute and you know fifteen year old
boys are going to be, like oh my, gosh you,
know and start talking anybody, would, right, Yes and you,
(34:37):
know as things, progress she's, like you, know maybe you
could send me a, Picture and as soon as that
picture gets, sent the extortion. Starts they wanted five hundred dollars.
Immediately and you, know this is why it's so important
to talk to your. Kids let them know that this
exists and it's, happening and if it does happen to,
(34:57):
them not to, panic you, know come to, you you,
know call somebody that they trust, something rather than take
your own.
Speaker 11 (35:06):
Life is that like probably the best solution, then BECAUSE
i MEAN i didn't know this until you said earlier
that they jumped from platform to.
Speaker 4 (35:13):
Platform oh, yeah they use everything such a.
Speaker 11 (35:16):
Yeah so does that mean probably the only way to
protect your child is just communicating and informing.
Speaker 4 (35:21):
THEM i THINK i think that's the first step, probably you.
Speaker 6 (35:24):
KNOW i, Mean i'm not an, Expert i'm not even a, parent,
sure BUT i do think that talking to your kids
and letting them know that this could, happen that there's
people like this out, there and if it.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
Does don't, panic come to me and we'll figure it.
OUT i think that's.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Probably like even just the blanket. Statement and by the,
way you're a puppy, parent and that's, true and like
you don't have to be a parent to understand parenting
and that's really the. Truth but even just speaking about
it as if it, exists and just you, know even
if your kid doesn't say they know what it, is
just acknowledging that the are some of the spooky things
(36:01):
that are out there just prepares them a little bit
to know that they're not as alone as they may.
Speaker 4 (36:07):
Thing, yeah and the, goal the goal is to be
as deplorable as possible for seven six, four, right is
the worse the. Better an eight year old, GIRL i
think she's eight was forced to harm the family pet
and she did because she was. Scared you, know, Listen
i'm just saying talk to your, kids let. THEM i,
(36:27):
mean it's up to, you, obviously BUT i think letting
them know that, this you know there's people out there
that will do this kind of, thing they might be
more open to approaching you about, it, like, HEY i did,
this and now they're saying they need this money from
me or they want me to you, know Kill.
Speaker 8 (36:42):
Fido, Right and that even you mentioned the five hundred
dollars in the, sextortion which is it's it's blackmail and
extortion and all of the, above and it really is
about just getting an in their, world ideally on, camera on,
camera such as murdering your family. Pet that's that is
(37:05):
common and that is the currency in which the seven
six four online extremist.
Speaker 6 (37:11):
Group, yeah it's the videos and like kids have set
themselves on, fire they've kicking. Us, yeah one kid was
OFFERED i think money to go kill his grandma and
the film. IT i don't think you, did BUT i
Mean courtney's. Right the currency is the video of you,
know of them doing whatever he wanted to.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
Do and by the, way we talked about, that remember
The nexim cult that we had talked about that had the.
Speaker 3 (37:39):
Escapee i'm blinking on her Name. Mac, yes Al Alison.
Mack thank, You. ADAM i love, You, Adam thank, You Alison.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
Mack so she was an actress and then now she's
speaking out about This nexim cult where they all followed
this guy Named ranier and they were all getting, branded et.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
Cetera but that was kind of their.
Speaker 2 (38:04):
Stick and by the, way they were, adults adults that
were raised by other adults right that Were the whole deal, Was,
hey can you give us some dirty information about somebody
that you, love and can we record you saying something
terrible about a loved one and we'll hold that as,
collateral so if you try to escape or go rogue on,
us we have that to basically.
Speaker 3 (38:26):
Blackmail. You imagine that that was happening for people in
their twenties and.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
Thirties imagine an eight year, old how scary the world
must seem and how big that must.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
Feel So i'm just grateful that we're talking about.
Speaker 11 (38:39):
IT i NEVER i don't THINK i shared this with.
You BUT i had a weird experience once WHERE i
received a letter where they said it was something to
the effect OF i guess they pretended they saw me
WHEN i was changing on, camera and they said that
we're going to send this to all of your. Friends
we have, it and it came from an old. EMAIL
(38:59):
i got, confused like they had a little bit info
that made it seem, valid AND i freaked. OUT i was, like,
oh worried IF i suddenly because.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
Your camera on your computer could just be on in your,
room on and, off and.
Speaker 11 (39:12):
So they kind of made it seem that. Way but
THEN i talked to another friend who's you, know he's
in the, computers and he understood a little bit. More he,
said trust, me you're, fine don't worry about. It But
i'm an, adult and it freaked me out and it
made me start thinking, like oh SHOULD I SO i
can't imagine what a child would do if someone did.
Speaker 2 (39:28):
That but and by the, way it's very, sophisticated, like
even very, recently real time this is. Happening my personal
email was hacked and people are being sent a link
and they're, like, oh open this link from. Me and
then if someone, says as you, would BECAUSE i wouldn't
normally send an email very formally saying, hello please open this,
(39:50):
link people have like we're sending me emails or responding to,
that you, know hacked email saying is this you? Staff
and then it would respond and, say yes, me can
you please open?
Speaker 3 (40:01):
THIS i really need your. Feedback it's very time.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
Sensitive and then they open it and now they have
the virus or whatever the thing, is, like how do
you shut this?
Speaker 3 (40:10):
Down this is so.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
Sophisticated so first, off ignore any email for me, personally
but also can you imagine, like, again if you're a
kid and these kinds of things are happening at such
a highly sophisticated.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
Level how do you look how do you combat?
Speaker 10 (40:25):
That?
Speaker 4 (40:25):
Yeah, yeah and that's my smallest sample to talk about.
Speaker 11 (40:29):
That, YEAH i think it's, important AND i was talking
about how to protect the parents can. Protect but on
the flip, SIDE i think these companies need to be
held a little more accountable that you, know are allowing
some of this to. Happen SO i don't, know it's
a big conversation and it's awful that it's. HAPPENING i
regret THAT i didn't know body back in the day
WHEN i got that, email because you would have probably
been able to get your thing and figured out who sent.
Speaker 8 (40:50):
It but we look at THOSE mx, records let's see Exact, well,
listen we will keep you. Updated thank you so much
for that talk, back and will just keep as information unfolding,
unfolds keep you.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
Updated this is True.
Speaker 8 (41:05):
Krantz, tonight we're On iHeartRadio and we've been talking about
the violent online extremist group seven six For if you have,
thoughts we'd love to hear. Them eighty eight three to
one crime or hit us up on the talkbacks and
let's go to.
Speaker 5 (41:20):
One, Now, hi Team leer In, australia just on The
coburger and this The gonzalveez family Suing. WAZOO i would
have thought that it wouldn't be possible for them to, win,
BECAUSE i, mean what duty of care does Does Washington
state have to the general. PUBLIC i feel like if
(41:41):
they were, students, yes but it just sort of baffles
me a little. Bit So i'm not sure If jarrek
can help answer this one.
Speaker 12 (41:50):
Great.
Speaker 2 (41:50):
QUESTION i always think we should Ask jerk because he'll
be on, tomorrow On, WEDNESDAY i would have thought there
is level.
Speaker 3 (41:58):
NOW i think he's cooking. Tomorrow actually we're gonna the
week after.
Speaker 2 (42:03):
Next we'll stash it for a rainy. Day, yeah of
course it's a holiday, week but we'll be here. Tomorrow
all that to be, SAID i would have thought there
is some level of accountability simply because you have so
many underage, people but not as a, standard but simply
because there had been so many complaints formally written Against Brian,
(42:26):
coburger the, accused and if you don't know that, Case
Brian coburger is currently serving many life sentences behind bars
for pleading guilty to murdering For idaho.
Speaker 3 (42:38):
Students and it's a really fair, question it.
Speaker 6 (42:43):
Is but any and you, KNOW i don't even know
if the goal is to win the. LAWSUIT i think,
LISTEN i kind of think. DIFFERENTLY i think the.
Speaker 4 (42:53):
Goal could be the.
Speaker 3 (42:54):
Discovery the goal could be the. Discuss that's, interesting but can.
Speaker 6 (42:58):
Call the family wants answer as we all, know we
all know, them, Right they want answers and they were
furious That Brian coberger didn't have to like confess and
give any details and things like. That SO i THINK
i think the goal isn't necessarily to. WIN i think
the goal is to get the discovery and to know
what the internals were AT wsu and what they were
saying About Brian coberger in those internal, reports.
Speaker 4 (43:21):
So that they can figure. OUT i could be, Wrong.
Speaker 6 (43:24):
LISTEN i can't speak for THE i can't speak for,
them but IF i were, them that's this is WHAT
i really.
Speaker 11 (43:31):
Doing, yeah AND i think you touched on, it BUT
i think now we're going to do the same. Thing
were you going to fill everyone in on the background on?
IT i was just going to say the family for
those who don't know what's going on the family Of
idaho student murder Victim Kayley gonzalez has filed a lawsuit
Against Washington State university where Murder Brian coburger, study alleging
(43:52):
the university ignored red flags about his behavior prior to
him fatally stabbing for students In. November and as we,
mentioned he remains incarcerated and fled guilty to the crimes
and receive received multiple life.
Speaker 6 (44:06):
Sentences so and he didn't have to give any answers
to nothing about you, know why he's feeling, guilty why
he did, It why in the concalus families not taking.
Speaker 2 (44:14):
It they don't like, that they are very upset by,
it AND i don't blame. THEM i really don't blame.
Him and it's a hard month for all of the families,
month you, know it. Is you, know we're approaching the,
holidays and by the, way hard month for so many
if you're listening to us right, now and there's so
much hustle and bustle About oh my, goodness It's, thanksgiving
which is a beautiful, holiday and yes it should be you,
(44:37):
know feasting in, family but you, know so many of
us sometimes feel lonesome at the. Holidays and miss. People
and you know it's not the turkey dinner that we
see in the movies for. Everyone so if you're, listening
you know we're we're sending you so much. Love you're not,
alone and welcome to Our thanksgiving. Table because there's so
(45:00):
much pressure on feeling festive and sometimes there's a lot of,
sorrow that's.
Speaker 8 (45:06):
True well, listen stick around because after the break we
are going to discuss the new autopsy results that's in
The mom talk yacht. Case in this there was some drugs,
found but the probe is not. Closed parents have.
Speaker 2 (45:21):
Questions welcome back To True crime tonight And. iHeartRadio we're

said it is your? Birthday is that?
Speaker 13 (46:12):

Speaker 13 (46:17):
You oh my, gosh thank you so. Much y'all are
going to make me. Cry, YES i forget.
Speaker 11 (46:21):
That thank.
Speaker 3 (46:22):
You i'm sending you so much love on your. BIRTHDAY
i hope you are feeling. It we would sing to, You,
gina but nobody wants. That we'll spare, you will spare.
You you're too good for.
Speaker 14 (46:32):
That nobody doesn't want that for me.
Speaker 13 (46:35):
EITHER i totally get, that BUT i just wanted to
let you all know how MUCH i appreciate. You and
WHILE i was on the, HOLD i ACTUALLY i Heard,
STEPHANIE i heard you say About, thanksgiving and it was just,
like you know, That really it came to my heart
BECAUSE i do appreciate that now more than. Ever you,
know the past years have been a struggle for a
lot of, people SO i get, that AND i Really
(46:58):
i'm in a very different situe now THAN i have
been through the past. Years so the, holidays like for
the first, time over the past few years have been
very difficult for. Me so what you, said definitely that
meant a, lot AND i just really appreciate that BECAUSE
i appreciate it now more than. Ever how difficult you
know it can be with not having things to, do
(47:20):
or not having a person you know around who may
have passed, away or difficult family situations and all those different.
Things so, that's you, know greatly. Appreciated and you're.
Speaker 4 (47:31):
Not, alone Like i'm. Not i'm not doing anything On.
Thanksgiving i'm, alone you know WHAT i.
Speaker 3 (47:36):
Mean so you're coming over.
Speaker 11 (47:39):
To say.
Speaker 3 (47:42):
We're. Together and by the, way it has a lot of.
Pressure is a lot of.
Speaker 13 (47:47):
Pressure, yeah it is a lot of. Pressure and just
you guys bring so much positivity in my. LIFE i
enjoyed listening To True, crime but just the, things just
the special things that you, say, like you, know just
relating to the situations that some of us. Have i've
Been i've taken some of the things to heart that
you guys have said through the past couple of, months
(48:08):
And i've opened up a little, bit like on my
social media about some of the difficult Situations i've had
in my marriage with some different types of abuse and,
uh you, know emotional abuse and financial, abuse difficult. Situations
SO i felt like that brought, ME i, guess some
(48:28):
bravery Where i've been able to like come out with
it AND i don't feel LIKE i have to keep that.
Hidden and MAINLY i just want people to know that
they're not alone and that just that has hit me
when you, know the survivor of The epstein that came
out with the book and you guys were speaking about
(48:48):
that a, lot And i'm just, LIKE i really need, to,
like you, know let people and you know my situation
and know that they're not. Alone And i'm just one little.
PERSON i you, know don't have a book and it's a.
Domb now she's she went through, horrible, yes. Exactly SO
i just wanted to put my stuff out, there not
all of, it you, know a little bit thereforable want
(49:11):
people to know, what, yeah AND i want people to
know again that they're not, alone but that there are
things that they can. Do there are places to get,
help there are family members or friends that they can
reach out, to or maybe that you, know their friends
can maybe see things or just we can see things
that are, happening maybe we will recognize them more sort
(49:31):
of for the same reasons that we're all probably into
true crime right where we can be you, know we
hear the stories and then we take that in and
we can be more vigilant in our, lives you, know
for true crime, aspect where you, know just to kind
of let people know, that you, know there are ways
to get. Help, there there are clues that we can
see in other people that maybe things are happening and it's,
(49:54):
like what's going. ON i need to reach out to that.
Person SO i just feel it's so important And I'M i,
mean it's get covered so many. HEARTS i, mean it's
Just i'm just so thankful for you guys are really
really just a little things that you stay here and,
THERE i, mean really means so much to. Me AND
i know too many many more people that need to hear.
(50:17):
That SO i just wanted to let you guys know
THAT i was listening to your podcast earlier and you
guys kind of went out on you, know we're going
out On button Of, renoe and then you got a
really nice call AND i was, like, Well i'm going
to call you all.
Speaker 6 (50:29):
Today we need AS i started talking About Kasey anthony
AND i got.
Speaker 3 (50:35):
Fired, no it kind of mells all hard because we're
a little bit in a.
Speaker 2 (50:40):
Vacuum and and by the, way first of, all thank
you for so much for, calling and, AGAIN i think
anybody listening is literally open your hearts to wish you
the biggest happy birthday and a beautiful year. Ahead are
there any tips that maybe you have that you know
it's you, know you, say you're you, know you're just a.
Person you don't have a. Book we're all the, same,
(51:01):
Right we're all just fighting the.
Speaker 11 (51:02):
Fight you.
Speaker 2 (51:03):
Know sometimes we don't know what is happening behind closed
doors in other people's. Lives, Right we're all taught, to you,
know present a certain. Way if you have any, Tips
i'm sure there's somebody listening that would love to.
Speaker 13 (51:16):
Hear oh, GOSH i, HOPE i hope there is somebody
listening THAT i could help im and that just would
like make it just kind of meant that's what your
life worth while in certain, ways you know WHAT i.
Mean SO i think one of the first things that
helped me was actually therapy BECAUSE i didn't know some
of the things that were. HAPPENING i didn't even know.
Speaker 3 (51:36):
That we're, abuse, Right he's so common thing for.
Speaker 13 (51:40):
Me yes. EXACTLY i mean it's really you really do
become so, oh it just becomes so, normal you, know
in our lives and it's, like, wow this isn't. Normal
and so the other, thing AFTER i learned some things in,
THERAPY i really like researched a, lot AND i learned
so much about just again about different kinds of abuse
(52:03):
and then reactive, abuse BECAUSE i was, like, well you,
KNOW i am like fighting with this, person not, physically
but you, know, arguing and it's, like, well they're pushing my,
buttons you know WHAT i, mean and they're getting that
reactive abuse out of. Me and then that's how they
turn things, around and it's, like, oh it's your, fault
it's you, know and then that's. Confusing so if you're
(52:25):
like questioning, things this would suggest, like let's ad, therapy
but also just, Researching like you, know if you're just
having like a bad gut feeling or talking to your
friend or your family, member somebody that you know is
not going to go back to like if it is
your partner or if it is you, know like your,
spouse whatever the case might, be somebody that you know
(52:47):
that they're not going to you, know say something behind
your back and then your spouse your, Question, yes a confidant,
Exactly so like you, know it might be uncomfortable and
maybe just put a little bit something out there and
then you, know work yourself up to being able to
talk to somebody about. It but, YEAH i MEAN i
think that really is like one of the things is,
(53:09):
like really we need to talk about, things we need
to learn about this so we're not passing it on
to the next, generation BECAUSE i, mean that's what makes
it that much, worse you, know because you do become
so it becomes so, normalized, right and we don't want
our kids and then those kids passing it on and
that's you, know the, general, uh the effect that just
(53:30):
keeps going on and on and. On none of us
want that in our lives or in our you, know
passing it. On but, anyway, sorry.
Speaker 11 (53:38):
Unplug CAN i just, say, like you, know that's.
Speaker 2 (53:42):
Stuff CAN i just say how PROUD i am of?
You you're so, right like you're a generation. Breaker welcome
to breaking generational. Trauma it sounds like you're so in.
It and there's no greater gift you can give yourself
for your birthday than you, know self care and being
kind to yourself and also sharing what you.
Speaker 3 (54:01):
Know and, man is it's so.
Speaker 2 (54:03):
True sometimes you're in the sauce and you don't really
know it until somebody else points it. Out and if
anyone listening doesn't know who to.
Speaker 3 (54:11):
Call you can call.
Speaker 2 (54:12):
Us we're not, therapists god, knows but you, know we've
all lived a lot of lives and you're not.
Speaker 3 (54:18):
Alone AND i think that message is so.
Speaker 13 (54:20):
Beautiful and there are so many. PLACES i, mean and
you really don't know this when something's, happening you. Can't
it's not the first thing it come to. Mind BUT
i actually have had to do the crisis that it's
the text the crisis text. Line BUT i, mean there
are places you can. Call there places and you, know
it's like it's sometimes they feel, like, OH i don't
(54:41):
want to BECAUSE i don't want to bother kind of
up with nine or? One, RIGHT i don't, know you,
KNOW i don't want to bother the. POLICE i don't
want to bother the domestic, violence you, know eight hundred.
Number but do, it just do, IT i mean, truly
Like i've only done. It i've only used the text line,
once but you know there have been a lot of
time rolled it back AND i, think you, KNOW i
(55:01):
was so UPSET i just should have called to talk
to somebody, say just to get it off my, chest
you know WHAT i, mean not necessarily THAT i was
like trying to find a shelter or anything like. That
even if you just reach out and just to talk
a little, bit just to you, know, say is this?
Normal AND, i you, Know i'm questioning. Something is this
(55:22):
something THAT i should be worried? About or is this
something that you KNOW i saw in my friend's. Home
it seemed kind of odd to, me you know ANY
i mean really just to not just like leave it
there and leave it as a question. Mark so then
you look back at it ten years and you, know
something worse happens and it's, like oh my, GOSH i
(55:44):
should have done. Something, then you, know just do that
little thing to you, know maybe even like watching YouTube
video about something that's SOMETHING i did a lot OF i,
would you, know read on a different domestic violence web
side their YouTube. VIDEOS i, mean there's just so many
there are so many things out there we can learn about.
(56:07):
Things and then the more you, learn the more of
course you, know and then you can watch for, things
and then you can you might see things differently in
your own life and others. Lives it's just LIKE i,
mean these things have to. Change we have to. Change
we have to.
Speaker 2 (56:24):
Change and by the, way we don't do it in,
silence Right so by you seeing it and even speaking about,
It i'm sure somebody's listening right now that's recognizing that in.
Themselves and once you talk about, it you realize, that,
man you're not, alone that is for. Sure it's, like,
yeah we're more connected by some of.
Speaker 3 (56:43):
This we're more connected than. Anything And gin, know we
just love you, whatever.
Speaker 8 (56:49):
Warrior thank you so much, much happy all beautiful wishes and,
yeah thank you.
Speaker 3 (56:58):
Bye oh my, Goodness, gina what.
Speaker 2 (57:03):
A rock Starting what a rock not a person who's
like you, know taking the reins and making a change
for herself and for her, family and that was really
brave and we love, You.
Speaker 8 (57:13):
Gina happy, Birthday happy. Birthday this is true crime. Tonight
I'm Courtney. ARMSTRONG i am here with my Buddy Body
movin And Stephanie lydecker and we were just talking with
a wonderful Caller. Genio, gina excuse, Me i'm all the
klemped from our chat and we want to hear from you,
Too so either give us a call eight a a
(57:34):
three to one crime or you can always hit us
on the talkbacks on the iHeartRadio. App it's in the
upper right hand. Corner it's a little red. Microphone you press,
it you, record and then you are on the air with.
Speaker 3 (57:47):
Us and NOW i.
Speaker 8 (57:50):
Think we have ANOTHER i think we have another talk,
back and it's about the two assailants who are involved
in the Slender man.
Speaker 3 (57:58):
Case oh, Interesting, hey true kind.
Speaker 12 (58:02):
Tonight i'm just calling in to ask do you find
it irrational that these kids were found not guilty due
to mental health? Reasoning And i'm wondering if the same
excuse can be used on adults going through the court
system or.
Speaker 2 (58:20):
Not, oh this is a complicated. ONE i can jump
in here a little, bit AND i know you guys
can as. Well but, listen they were twelve years old
when this crime, occurred, right all of the victim and
the assailants were both twelve years old at the time
of the. Assault and, man it was an assault and
slash attempted.
Speaker 3 (58:40):
Murder, no, yeah.
Speaker 8 (58:42):
So and Ultimately Morgan, geyser who has been in the,
news she pleaded guilty to first degree intentional. Homicide but
that talk back there was a qualification.
Speaker 2 (58:58):
By pleading guilty to by pleading. Guilty she was placed
in a home, ultimately is that? Accurate so she served
seven years behind bars and then was moved to a group,
home and in that group home she was put on
a house monitoring. System i'm saying that. Wrong what is
it called a Monitoring what is that CALLED gps ankle?
(59:20):
Monitor forgive? Me, so, yeah you're put in a group,
home and that's a little bit more, loose. Right the
idea of a group home is that you're being reacclimated
and rehabilitated so that you at some point can re
acclimate into the world and you can maybe assimilate into the,
world that being the larger. Goal but it doesn't seem
like that's the.
Speaker 3 (59:39):
Case. Boddy you have your hand.
Speaker 4 (59:40):
Raised you're such a well. STUDENT i DO i need
an apple for the.
Speaker 6 (59:44):
Teacher so TECHNICALLY i wanted to tell you, that you,
know they were charged as adults in this in this,
crime and they were charged with attempted first degree intentional.
Homicide and then right after they were, Charged morgan in
this case that we're talking, about, specifically she Pled she
(01:00:08):
entered a plea of guilty and was ultimately found not
guilty by reasons of mental disease or defect because she
was literally diagnosed to a schizophrenia and severe. Psychosis her
sentence was forty years in an institution and then in
twenty twenty five this, year after about seven years in
(01:00:29):
that getting the treatment that she clearly still needs a
judge to prove this conditional release to this like group home.
Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
For her many requests like she had been pleading to the,
court and let's be real her, release, RIGHT i.
Speaker 4 (01:00:44):
Don't think this was like a.
Speaker 6 (01:00:46):
FACILITY i think this was a house that she was
living in AND i would really like somebody to deep
dive that these group.
Speaker 4 (01:00:54):
Homes, yeah we.
Speaker 8 (01:00:56):
Should absolutely do that and. Listen coming, up we're going
to have more on this. Topic we'll get into the
as of today update and also later in the, show
we are going to be talking about our next true
crime And.
Speaker 3 (01:01:11):
Chill you have a lot to say about, that so
keep it. Here True Crime.
Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
Tonight welcome back To True Crime tonight An. iHeartRadio we're
talking true crime all the. Time I'm Stephanie lydecker here
With Courtney. Armstrong body move. In wishing our Listener gina
(01:01:37):
the most happy birthday in the most beautiful year.
Speaker 3 (01:01:40):
Ahead high fives go. Ahead this year is going to be.
Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
Extraordinary we've been talking a bit about Slender man And
Morgan geyser who was recently picked up after her escape
from a group. Home and for anyone who doesn't know
that case too, Well courtney give us a top.
Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
Line.
Speaker 8 (01:01:58):
Right so back in twenty, Fourteen Morgan geyser was twelve
years old at the, time her and another twelve year old,
Friend Anissa, weir the two girls lured their friend and,
Classmate Hayton, lutner so she also is twelve and the
three girls were, friends so we have ultimately it's going
(01:02:19):
to be two, Perpetrators Morgan geyser A Nissa. Weir and
what they did to twelve year Old Peyton lutner at
the time was they lured her into the. Woods this
was after a sleepover to celebrate a, birthday and they
stabbed this, Victim Peyton, lutner nineteen, times and it was
all in an attempt to appease a fictional internet character
(01:02:43):
called Slender. Man so Slender, man he was kind of
his urban, legend very, tall very thin, looking with supernatural, power,
scary very, scary And Morgan geyser the main perpetrator and
main stabb who did. This it was all in the
name to please this slender. Man, ultimately thank, god the
(01:03:08):
twelve year old who was, Stabbed Peyton, lutner she literally
dragged herself and fought for her life out of the
woods and was found and is now. Okay But Morgan,
geyser who started With, stephanie who just. Released so after
that horrendous incident in twenty, fourteen she ultimately she was
(01:03:32):
incarcerated for a little, while and it was complicated because
she was twelve at the time and then recently has
been in a group home where she had an ankle
monitor WITH gps.
Speaker 3 (01:03:43):
On well she cut it.
Speaker 8 (01:03:45):
Off so she cuts that off and escaped from the
group home In wisconsin where she was. Staying there was
large miscommunication between the correctional, department who was in charge
of overseeing, prisoners and the, police who obviously their job
is to go out and keep people safe in the,
(01:04:07):
current there was miscommunication and she was gone and was
one hundred and seventy miles away from her group.
Speaker 3 (01:04:15):
Home so THIS i mean attempted Murderer Morgan.
Speaker 8 (01:04:21):
Geyser she's now returned To wisconsin and she's going to
face the consequences of violating the conditional. Release but When
Morgan geyser left her group, home she did so with
an accomplice Named charlie Goes By Charlie, mecca and This
Charlie mecca also faces charges of criminal trespassing and obstructing.
Speaker 3 (01:04:45):
Identification the two of.
Speaker 8 (01:04:47):
Them hopped on a, bus got one hundred and seventy
miles away and they had met at. Church so the
almost Killer Morgan geyser left with this forty three year old,
Accomplice Charlie. Mecca they had met at church and they
(01:05:08):
this friend Of, Morgan Charlie, mecca was reportedly concerned about
this this group home being too restriction.
Speaker 2 (01:05:16):
Restrictive like they, Yeah charlie wasn't allowed to See morgan
nearly as much As charlie wanted that to be the.
Speaker 3 (01:05:24):
Case, really, okay, okay that's.
Speaker 8 (01:05:27):
Right Interesting and then so what this, Accomplice Charlie mecca
said was That morgan Guys er she ran because of.
Me and at the end of the, DAY i followed
WHAT i thought was, right AND i stand by.
Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
It oh are you kidding?
Speaker 4 (01:05:47):
Me, Oh, Charlie and by the by it And.
Speaker 2 (01:05:50):
Morgan you, know it has now been reported suffered from, schizophrenia, right,
right that's how she has been.
Speaker 3 (01:05:56):
Diagnosed i'm not overstating, that, right it's, no you're not
not to shake a stick.
Speaker 2 (01:06:00):
Aup very, serious very, serious you, Know and again Not
i'm not giving grace in a horrible. Circumstance and thank
goodness and thank, God peyton survived and lives to tell
the tale and will go on to live a really,
healthy happy life and she is. Safe But morgan was
not seeing the world in a real, way. Right so
(01:06:23):
the world That morgan lives in and in her mind is,
distorted AND i have a lot of empathy for.
Speaker 3 (01:06:30):
That it's not even something that she can.
Speaker 2 (01:06:35):
Control it's like having cancer of the, mind, Right AND
i think that's something that's very very. Serious AND i
think in a lot of not a LOT i SHOULDN'T
i won't want to, overstate but in many cases, undiagnosed
and in this case it was diagnosed certainly when it
came to. Sentencing, oftentimes mental illness to this level is
a real factor in some, crimes and when we're talking
(01:06:59):
about rehability and group, homes and that is a very
fine needle to thread and requires a real skillful level
of care and it's unfortunate that she wasn't granted.
Speaker 8 (01:07:11):
That, yeah it seemed, like you, Know Morgan, geyser for
all she, did deserved a more secure. Place and, indeed
the LOCAL da has emphasized that this is proof that
it only reinforces the position that a conditional release is
not appropriate greed at this time For Morgan, geyser and
it's something that the, Victim Peyton, lautner and her family fought,
(01:07:33):
against as did the.
Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
Prosecutor so even for her, family, right like she has
family like probably wants her to be, safe safe and
cared for and like just BEING i don't know what
the answer is.
Speaker 3 (01:07:46):
Here, medically we see her body can, setage her body can.
Fittage you.
Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
Know on the one, hand you know she's obviously if
you haven't seen, it check it. Out she's like obviously
being caught on body cam when she's being found at
the bus station that she was ultimately retrieved, from and you,
know she's wearing a hood over her, head and she's
obviously you, know shy and. Bashville but it's kind of
(01:08:13):
frankly admitting to having done something very. Bad and she
also at the same. Time this looks like a little. Ghost,
right she looks. Scared she's, like it's probably cold wherever she.
Is she's at some random bus.
Speaker 3 (01:08:27):
Stop she's in a, hoodie like she gave like a fake,
name she gave a weird.
Speaker 2 (01:08:31):
Name none of it makes any. Sense like she's not
safe even for. Herself, right And, courtney.
Speaker 3 (01:08:38):
What was the show that we were trying to work
on at some?
Speaker 2 (01:08:41):
Point it was really complicated AND i don't want to sidetrack,
us but it was for young adults who were under
the age of eighteen who were sentenced to life sentences without.
Speaker 3 (01:08:51):
Parole, Oh lost for was? It lost For? Life was
a tough.
Speaker 2 (01:08:54):
One it was Too, HONESTLY i can't even talk about
it too long because my heart will rip out of my.
Speaker 3 (01:08:58):
Chest, yeah it.
Speaker 4 (01:08:59):
Would be difficult to.
Speaker 11 (01:09:00):
Do, yeah that was the entire.
Speaker 3 (01:09:03):
Time, yeah many.
Speaker 2 (01:09:05):
People that happens very. Commonly, yeah you, know and it
does speak to the fact of mid. Murder, yeah are you?
Speaker 8 (01:09:12):
Who you are determined for the rest of your life
from your one worst moment in. Time and then there's
the victims', families you, know who guess what they've lost their, son, daughter,
husband whomever it is is Very it was very, complicated
and Like stephanie, SAID.
Speaker 2 (01:09:31):
I Like unriddled in The cars is thinking about, it, like,
yeah she's twelve years. Old everyone's twelve years. Old is
That is that the moment that now sets you up
for your entire? LIFE i, MEAN i know the answer,
Here i'm answering my own. QUESTION i know it's like
safety first and it's. Schizophrenia but, man that's. Complicated you,
(01:09:53):
know like everybody in this story is very loved and
has a, family and their wishes were not for their
twelve year olds to crawl to save their lives after
being stabbed nineteen times at the side of the. Road
and now you Know peyton we've reported last, night is
sleeping with a scissor under her pillow at night as
(01:10:13):
a twenty three year.
Speaker 3 (01:10:14):
Old how.
Speaker 2 (01:10:15):
Horrifying and you, know Now Morgan geyser is making a
run for it with some you know person she met
at church because she wants to be out in the
real world and she was twelve years old and is, like,
oh you don't know. ME i did a real bad thing.
Once like is that the moment that never undefines? YOU
i don't know the answer by any. Means but, man
it's what happened to the second, Assailant.
Speaker 8 (01:10:37):
ANIA i was just about to Say anissa were she
at the time was sentenced on the charge of second
degree attempted homicide because really it Was Morgan geyser who
was the ringleader of the. Two and in twenty twenty,
One anissa was released into the community under. Supervision so
(01:11:00):
she has been out for four.
Speaker 2 (01:11:03):
YEARS i haven't seen her in any of the press,
coverage you, know. Thankfully i'm sure she's keeping a little
profile and hopefully living a healthy.
Speaker 3 (01:11:09):
Life, yeah let it.
Speaker 6 (01:11:11):
Be so this is true crime tonight on a heart.
Radio we're talking true crime all the. Time I'm Boddy
moving And i'm here with court and stuff and talk
and we've been talking about The, slenderman attempted, Killer Morgan
geis and this this attempted escape that.
Speaker 4 (01:11:27):
Well actually she really did, escape, no she.
Speaker 3 (01:11:31):
And was off to the races on the.
Speaker 6 (01:11:33):
Right and right now we're gonna kind of switch lanes
a little bit and we're going to talk about this
yacht's right that happened in your beautiful mom talk right,
stuff oh mon.
Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
Talk.
Speaker 2 (01:11:45):
Yeah if you guys have never been To montacas to
paint a. Picture i'm From Long, island originally a beautiful
place In New, york and Mon talk is at the
very tip and it's like really. Fancy i'm not From,
montalk But i'm From Lake, gronkonkoma but Mon, talk you,
know not you, know is a different side of. Town
but it is like The jugi part right where celebrities
(01:12:08):
go and people go in the. Summers and you know
we've SEEN tv, shows, Right oh, yeah it's like. MANSIONS
i mean there's a yacht.
Speaker 3 (01:12:17):
Club let's put it that, right, right so say.
Speaker 2 (01:12:20):
It and you, know if we're talking about olden days Of,
diddy that's where the.
Speaker 3 (01:12:24):
White parties are and you, know fancy.
Speaker 2 (01:12:26):
Parties so allegedly there's all these fancy parties this past,
summer and you, know this beautiful young woman at one
of these parties suddenly turns up dead on a yacht
and the circumstances by which she died is are pretty.
Speaker 6 (01:12:40):
Confusing, yeah it's It's we still don't really have a
lot of, answers but we have. Some and just to
summarize it up really quick for people who, aren't you,
know familiar with. It thirty three year old fashioned Designer
martha Nolan. Oslatera she was found unresponsive on a yacht
and mon talk back In august of the year over
(01:13:00):
the summer after spending the night was sixty year old
Investor Christopher. DURNHAM a new private autopsy that was ordered
by the victim's family found only a trace amount of
cocaine and no drug levels that would have caused her.
Death the, Victim martha Nolan oslaterra's family says many questions
(01:13:23):
still remain as police await final toxicology and the investigation
does remain.
Speaker 4 (01:13:28):
Open so WE i, mean all we know right now
so far is that she had a little bit.
Speaker 3 (01:13:34):
Of, cocaine but and it was probably in her, body.
Speaker 6 (01:13:39):
Not a natual, amount and it might not even have
even been done that. Day it might have been from
like the previous. Days it just remains in your body
for a. While so it wasn't it wasn't the cause
of her. Death so we still don't know what happened that, night.
Speaker 2 (01:13:56):
And that was a wacky, night and correct me If i'm,
Wrong but, essentially she had been at a. Party she's
also a designer and was doing very big. Things she's highly.
Educated aside from being extraordinarily. Beautiful she had a really,
reputable important, career and she met with an, Investor.
Speaker 3 (01:14:15):
Christopher Exactly Christopher.
Speaker 6 (01:14:18):
Durnham he's an insurance an executive and investor who was
with her the previous. Night he was found naked and
incoherent on the dock and taken to the hospital.
Speaker 3 (01:14:29):
Because he was running down the dock saying, help, help,
help right.
Speaker 6 (01:14:33):
Right police have not identified him The Christopher durnham as
a suspect and currently consider him a witness in the.
Investigation the early investigative reports found no evidence of, violence
with the official cause of death determined through toxicology and histolegial.

watching AND i think you will all unpack it. Together
did he Know Jeffrey? EBSTEIN i will check into. That
(01:24:40):

Everyone SO i have a question about true crime and
show for the for, everybody for the, team and that
includes the audience, team like we do The True crime
and shill we all, watch but then it ends up
us just talking about, it meaning us on the show
and really it's supposed to be more of a. COMMUNITY i,
feel who cares what we? Think we're Not cisco and,

and then maybe we'll, SAY i think give the.
Speaker 11 (01:26:32):
Time maybe we'll give more time and remind people because
even the last, one we had like quite a few
people who called it About eileen and that. Documentary we
did have a lot for that.
Speaker 3 (01:26:42):
One, yeah a lot of.
Speaker 11 (01:26:43):
People that resonated With AND i think it was, partially you,
know not to toot my own, horn BUT i think
the conversation that THAT i said and you guys should
have about. It you were all everyone had strong. Opinions
so the three of you really resonate with people and
they start to react to. It SO i think it's
because this group knows what they're.
Speaker 16 (01:27:02):
