Speaker 1 (00:11):
Hi guys, Welcome to another episode of Diamonds and the
Rough with myself, Teddy Mellencamp.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
And Hey, I am Erica Jane.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Erica Jane. You've had a busy weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Yes, I was with Alex Cooper call her Daddy at
the Unwell Weekend in Las Vegas. I had the best time.
I hosted the show second night.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
That's so great. How was it?

Speaker 2 (00:32):
It was good. She is number one, really nice and
took the best care of me and everyone else there,
and she's built this really impressive community. The whole thing
was just really well done. So shout out to Alex
Cooper everybody at the Unwell Family. Thank you for being
so kind to me. I had the best time. It

(00:53):
was really good.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Were you there the day that DJ Meredith Mars was there?

Speaker 2 (00:59):
I saw Meredith. I think that my show was on Saturday,
her show was on Friday.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
On Friday? Yeah, and then am I allowed to bring
up a little nugget that you just shared with me?

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Yeah, you are okay, So tell me, tell me I
just saw a little sneak. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
I'm coming out of DJ retirement myself, so I'm going
to start back You know what you saw, Well, you
did Coachella, remember when I did Coachella. But I also
did like the Mosquito Show the year before. So and
you know my first husband was a DJ. Oh right,
that's right. So, I mean it's been in my blood
for a long time, and I decided, fuck it, let's

(01:36):
do it, do it again, Let's do it again. So
I'm excited. Yeah, I'm putting my stuff together now, brushing
up because you know, you got to do it right.
And there you go.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
That's so fun. When do you think it'll start soon?

Speaker 2 (01:48):
I think we may have our first gig before the
end of the year. Really, yeah, I mean I'm still looking.
I'm putting together possibly. I mean, there's a couple of
different options here. There's a few different options. But of
course i'll let you know. Yeah, yeah, of course I'll
let you know. Come by for five ten minutes.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
We were laughing because the other day.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Yeah, come by for five to ten minutes at the gig.
You know, She's like, yeah, oh yeah, well I mean
this you're saying that, well, come by because you know,
who knows how long she want to stay.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
I mean, you know, I can sure stay more than
five ten right.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
I mean, you know it's going to be loud and
really loud.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
So whatever, it's clubbing, you crack me up.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I was actually really inspired because we went to the
opening of the Marquee reopened Unwell had their after party
at one of the after parties at Marquee, and they've
done a beautiful reopening. Shout out to Marquee and at
the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas stunning. Like the club, it's
like clubbing is back. I feel, yeah, I feel as

(02:52):
if dance music is back. I mean it never really left,
but my love for dance music has returned, and it's
nice to get up there and have some fun.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
That's cool. I like it. I like it. I'm proud
of you.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Thank you babes.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
They're always like, it's really an inspiration because you're always
working on the next thing.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
I think it's important for my brain. It's just how
my personality works. I need to be busy. I enjoy creating,
and this is something that I've always loved and I've
always done.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Yeah, if you had to pick your favorite way of performing,
would you say it's djinghing?

Speaker 2 (03:27):
No, it's like being on Broadway or my own show,
my own Erica Jane show, like the one in London
for Mighty Hoopla. Yeah, I mean I love the DJ bit.
You're playing other people's records, right, and you're hyping a
crowd up. But when you're doing your own show, it's
like you're doing your own show. Yeah, you know, that's
a different that's a different relationship with an audience. Yeah
than standing behind decks.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
And showing a different type of vulnerability.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Yeah, and just really like throwing your entire body and
soul into it.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Are you missing Broadway at all?

Speaker 2 (03:55):
A little bit? Yeah, a little bit. Yeah. I had
a conversation the other day about possibly going back.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Yeah, but you know, it's a real commitment, which is great,
but it takes a lot out of you, but it's
so fucking worth it. Yeah, you know, it's fucking worth
it at the end of the day.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
It's pretty amazing.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
At the end of the day. You have to check
these things off.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Yeah, there's a lot of stuff going on right now,
and then you know, we'll reconvene when we when we
get to Bravo kan Oh god, are you going yes, yeah,
I think two panels. I know I'm gonna need.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
You, Okay, that's fine. I'm gonna need you. I don't
know who's open who you know? That is a to
everybody that's listening. Bravo con is great. I mean, it's
great for the audience and it's a great way for
everyone at Bravo to to say thank you and give
FaceTime to all of those that support everyone on Bravo.

(04:54):
But it is a hard schedule for four days. Yeah,
it is a very very demanding schedule. And I do
show oh yeah. But there's something about that in person feel,
you know, that's it's it's demanding and meeting so many people,
That's what I'm talking about, the energy of so many people.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
And being on for so long. Yes, yeah, a lot.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
It's a lot, but I'm sure Bravo makes the killing.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Yeah, and I think and it is a fun way
for all the housewives to kind of meet each other
that haven't met before, or to see people that you've
gotten along with and or I always enjoy that.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
I enjoyed that too, because a lot of the people
I don't know from other shows. Yeah, and it's nice
to connect with them and say hello. I mean, and
a lot of us other housewives we don't know each other.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Yeah. So, and without this pod, I wouldn't probably watch
all of the different franchises. But now that I know
every single franchise, I'm like, Okay, do I walk in
and I'm I'm high, like have yourself or am I like?
Oh shit, this person probably hates me.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
So what that's part of the game. They know what
the deal is. How about the Salt Lake Girls getting
the cover of what is it us? Or something?

Speaker 1 (06:09):
I know, but it was from the Vanity Fit from
the original Vanity Fair Desperate Housewives.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
That's fine.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
I think it's fine now for them.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
I was with Heather Gay at the Unwell weekend. We
had a nice moment together. She's really sweet. I've never
really had that kind of in person FaceTime with her.
But they're doing really well. Yeah, that show's doing really well.
Good for them.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
I mean you you wouldn't even believe it.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
I've never watched a show, and but I know You've
always been like a really good fan.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Yeah, like I'm they deliver, They deliver, and then they
move on and then something else. And I mean they.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
They could be the strongest Housewives franchise.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
They could be right now, sure, I would say, yeah, yeah,
that's fair.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
To say.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
I think, you know, they put in the work, and
also the past is right, they have is right, they
have fun, and I think that's the part that's missing
from so many of these franchises. Yeah, it's having fun. Yeah, Like, yes,
these these women fight, but then they always go back
to like laughing, partying, doing whatever. And I think that's

(07:18):
where a lot of the other places they clock it
in and they clock out.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yeah, they get it wrong. Yep, I listen and I'm
on a show. I agree, Yeah, I agree, I agree,
all right. Raw Housewives of Orange County Season nineteen, Wow,
Episode fifteen, Take it Away.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
So Shannon hosts a lunch for Jen. Gretchen arrives first.
Shannon says, the girls think Gretchen acts like Tamra.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Oh I can see that. That was actually I liked
Shannon saying this.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
Yeah, and if she doesn't stoop to her level, no
one will say that. Gretchen has a list of points
of reasons why she's not like Tamra.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
So this looks prepared, like have you yeah, she on
this for a while, is this a yeah? Prepared?

Speaker 1 (08:04):
And then when they go to her confessional, she has
it written out.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
And something on the bottom on her phone.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah, she says, I don't have it. These are the
reasons why she says she's not like Tamra. Meanwhile, doing
this makes worse, worse, like girl, this, she says, especially

(08:30):
her first one, I don't have a child, calling me
a manipulator and a liar.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Not yet, she's too little. Yeah, your day's coming, Your
day's coming. It happens to all of us. I'm not
just saying you.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
I haven't been sued and lost because of my lives.
Then almost suit again for another lie. She's talking about
the Jambalino and the Ryan.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
It can happen to you too. It's just not yet.
I'm telling you.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
I know, quit speaking in absolute right. I didn't reach
out to Tamar's ex to try to get dirt on her.
But you know what she's saying something that I don't
think is necessarily true.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Oh you mean about the recording. Yeah, yeah, I'm not
profiting from people's pain her podcast. You are because you're
on the show, so you're getting paid to be on
the show. We all profit off each other's pain. Yeah,
sows flash, and it's part of the gig.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Yeah, I'm not harming or constantly hurting my friends.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
I don't know about that.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
We don't know. We haven't really seen you because the
one time that you were hanging out with your friends
is when you were talking about Tamra.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Oh you mean it the sleepover?

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Yeah, so I don't. I don't really know. And then
other than that, I've just been seeing her yelling a lot.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Well, she came in with something in mind, and she's
stuck to the plan. I'm not disclosing information my friends
asked me not to talk about like she did with
Shannon and her dad.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Isn't that what this the whole season is about, the
things that she's disclosed about. I mean, I hate to
keep saying about Tamra, but that's what she's doing every
single time.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
I wish we could talk about something else other than Tamra.
And that's no shade, But I'm just tired of talking
about Tamra.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
But it's it's exactly what she's doing. She's creating this,
she's creating all the question about Tama.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
I'm telling you, like I said this a few weeks ago,
how cool would it have been if she'd come in
and had no grudge and they could have gotten along? Oh,
at least for a couple episodes and then blow out
over something present, not seventeen years ago. Correct, nobody, I
don't even remember seventeen hours ago.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
Her next one is, I don't have excess coming forward
to publicly say I'm a liar and a cheater.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Well, honey, you ain't living well.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
And I feel like that might also not fully be true. Yeah,
I mean her ex passed away. So the one that
she had all of the like, oh, rumors and drama
with on the show.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Well, we're gonna give him a pass because he's on Yep.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
I don't call or DM bloggers and try to get
them to post horrible things about my castmates. Oh uh,
Gretcher's Gretchers, I thought you hated that. I knows you
lose me with the first one. I think it's gross.
The first one. I don't have a child calling me

(11:22):
a manipulator and a liar.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Not yet. I'm telling you, your daughter's young, you're going
to hear those words. All of us parents get it.
It's just a matter of time love. And that's no
shade to anybody because we all get it. As you know, parenting,
do you how do you like that? Parenting of three children?

Speaker 1 (11:37):
You know it's it's non stop. Slate was mad at
me the other.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Day and she called you a manipulator or a liar.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Yet no, but she said, I you said we were
going to have a conversation about it, and I said
we did have a conversation. I just said no, and
you don't like my answer, and she slammed that door
so fast.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
I hope you broke that door down.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
I was like, I open the door. I go, if
you have an attitude about this one more time. This
is being taken away and it's something that's important to
her and she was like, right, yeah, And I was like, yeah,
we I realized that you're becoming a teenager and you're
about to go through the Change or whatever that movie
the First Change. Yeah, but you're going to need to

(12:25):
cool You're yeah, because it's hard. You know, once they
become teenagers, it's a whole different ballgame because then the
entire world revolves around their plans and what they want.
And I'm like, what she's mad at me about is
I said that she could go to a Halloween party
the night before Halloween with all her friends, but I said,
on Halloween, you're going to spend it home. With me

(12:47):
and like we we go to the same Halloween party
every year. Yeah, and I'm like with all the kids
everybody goes. This is what happens. You have friends there,
we have family there, like we have Yeah, that's what
we're doing. And she wanted to go to the other party.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Well, this is going to become a you know, more
increasingly thing as she grows older. But I think that,
you know, people don't know this, but Teddy, she's a
very calm parent and then she will click out on
them and be really, you don't let those kids get

(13:24):
away with shit. Shit. No. She' you're very nice and
then you're like, Okay, that's enough and you're very tough. Yeah,
like you you will not act like that. I've seen
it in person.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
I was like, ah, yeah, we won't. We won't. We
won't be behaving this. No, you won't be talking.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
You will not be talking like that.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
No, no, AnyWho. Then Shannon asked everyone to go around
the table and give Jen their marriage advice.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Which I thought was kind of fun.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
I mean, what do you feel about the way Shannon
was at the beginning when she was kind of flipping
out about the stemware.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Listen and I'd rather see somebody flip out about stemware
than drag each other through the mud about other shit.
Like flipping out about stemware is a housewives thing that
I welcome as opposed to hurting each other's feelings so deeply.
Does that make sense?

Speaker 1 (14:14):
Yeah, I agree, you're right. You're right on that.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Remember, like in the Derete Champagne thing, Like, I'd rather
do that than all the other stuff that we've seen.
And yeah, you know, I'd rather like silly fights than
really digging deep, in digging deep and just kind of hurting. Yeah,
because she's you know, she's pretty worked up about it.
She seems very excited about the party. Jen didn't seem

(14:39):
that excited. And I don't know if that was being
ungrateful or just not into it or both, or.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Just or just doesn't have a date yet, and so
she feels like it's strange to have a.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Would I say, though, if somebody's going to throw you
a party, just say thanks and have a good time.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Yeah, say thanks, have a good time. Clearly they spend
a lot of money on it.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Yeah, say thank you. I wouldn't. Yeah, just be gracious.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
All the time, because she knows and I remember when
she served one croissant at the beach party. These parties
are expensive, yes they are, and production is not paying
for it.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
No. No, And I saw something on TikTok on it.
Maybe I shouldn't even bring this up, but I see
like these people that say that they are quote ex
showrunners and they are talking about behind the scenes things
about what Bravo pays for and shit like that. That's
not true.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
It's not true. They'n's not true. There may be a
certain amount that they.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Any lot girl and it ain't shit. Yeah, it's so
get it together. Yeah, so you ain't nobody paying for
that white party.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Yeah, then I.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Are not writing those checks.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Yep, Nope, they are not doing that. But when Shannon
asked everyone to go around the table, Tamra says, your
second marriage, you know what to do, you know what
not to do.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
I agree, I agree. I mean, I think if you
know your second marriage is something that you know thinking
about the first self reflection, Hey maybe I don't want
to do whatever.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Again, right, but then you can make new mistakes beyond.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
Yeah, we're always going to make mistakes. I think that
marriage or humans or any type of relationship, you're always
going to make mistakes. It's just hey, I'm not going
to do that one again. Right, You're gonna have your
own unique set of problems with this marriage.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Shannon says, communication is key, obviously. Yeah, I didn't need
to know that John Janssen farted under the covers.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
I don't need I don't. I don't like that.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Shit.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Do you fart in front of Edwin?

Speaker 1 (16:40):
I mean, now, well.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
I bet you. I bet you'd have a blowout in
front of him, just just just because how about this?
How do you feel about that?

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Sorry?

Speaker 2 (16:55):
I hate to be such a teenager, but.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
You know, yeah, I would say there are probably times
in the sixteen years one way I've slipped out.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
Yeah, but not on purpose.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Not on purpose.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
Yeah, No, That's why I like having two bathrooms. Yeah,
two separate bathrooms. I go over here, you go over there.
You know, if accidents happen, that's one thing, But not
on purpose.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Yeah. But then, as Shannon's talking about communication is key,
somebody asked her, I forget, who are you talking about
with John? Are you talking about with your with David?

Speaker 2 (17:30):
I think she said both, right, and then she said
both both?

Speaker 1 (17:32):
Yeah, yeah, both. So she considers her relationship with John
like a marriage.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Well, I mean, let's not go that far. It was
an important relationship. I don't know if it was a
quote marriage, but it definitely was enough to get upset
about and have all these problems with. So why not
you know that legal problem, That's what I'm saying. That's
a fucking marriage without having being married. So true, you know,

(18:00):
it's as the same as a pain in the ass
as a marriage.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Yep. Gina tells her not to lose herself and have
your person be a compliment to your life. I think
that's a really good piece of advice.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Very good. And Emily says everyone has a person, and
I agree with that.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
I mean, but you could have more more than one person,
more than one.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
Person in a lifetime.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
I think so too. Ye. Then Gretchen says faith is
an important part in her relationship.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
Yeah, I mean, I'm not going to attack anyone's faith.
I I if that is true, I mean that is
true for her, That's great, I mean whatever.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Yeah, And then Heather says people will judge or make
comments about you.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Let them you have to. Yeah, she's there are all
these are like whose advice would you take most seriously?
They're all good things here. I mean, you know, nobody's
giving stupid advice.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
Whose advice would you take the most seriously?

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Not to lose yourself? Yeah, I think should the person
be a compliment to your life. I think that a
lot of women do that, and we do it just naturally,
were naturally built to, you know, take care of the
family and take care of the husband and kind of
put our needs or our lives second. And I think
that that's a super important one.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
Yeah, I agree, Just.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
To remind everybody out there too, you know, make sure
that you're you're taking care of too.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Yeah. Then we're back to the farts because then Emily
asks whether she farts in front of Terry. She says
she doesn't fart.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Well, what, Yeah, And I'm down with that answer.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
You know what, it doesn't happen.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
That's great.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
The fact that Shannon is still finding ways to bring
up John Jansen, though, do you find that odd or no?

Speaker 2 (19:38):
I think it's just conversation. I didn't have that much
value into It's her last relationship of consequence, so whatever.
I don't really you know, it's not that big video.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
Yeah, it kind of, but it makes me a little
bit sad.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
I didn't even take it as that. I just thought
it as like she was just laughing, and she was
just laughing about things that were, you know, in the past.
I didn't. I didn't lean that much into it.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Yep. Then the girls are going on a trip to Amsterdam.
Heather's parents lived there when she was in college. Kind
of cool.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
Yeah, I mean that was kind of a cool thing.
Heather brings up her dad's ashes and doesn't know where
to put them, Okay, so and then you know, Terry
thinks about bringing it to Amsterdam where he lived. Here's
the thing. I was immediately taken back to mercy in
the purse. So I'm just going to say. I was like,
are we going to get into these ashes? And then

(20:29):
Heather opens up about her dad and how he was
a corporate dad and they didn't have much of a relationship,
which you know.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
It's pretty common.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
It's common, and it's sad. Yeah, you know, corporate dad.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
I never heard that phrase.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
No, but it's a good one.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
I don't know if she made it up or not,
but it's a good one.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
They're all sitting around, you know, at this Bridle not
Bridle shower and they're like, we should go on a
trip and they're like someone warm somewhere, Warm somewhere this,
and then someone's like Amsterdam.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Magically, they're in Amsterdam. I'm not going to say a
word on this. I'm contractually bound, not.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
Too so, but it magic Whose trip is this?

Speaker 2 (21:24):
By the way, it felt Honestly, it kind of felt
like Shannon's and then it kind of felt like Heather
had a piece of it, like I you know, I
used to go there in college, so you know, I
mean that's all I can say.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
Then Tam and Eddie go to dinner. Tamar gets annoyed
with how Eddie is chewing Oh. Marriage, Yeah, that's marriage.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
That's marriage.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Yep. Tamer says she thinks the problem in their marriage
is that they don't communicate and then it all explodes.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
Eddie says the way she talks to him sets him. Often,
usually she's drunk and she comes at him. Yeah, I
mean I get it. He's valid, he has his point
of view.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
Yeah, like I think he's saying, you know, I haven't.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Seen him show remarkable control, more so than any man
I've been married to would have. So Eddie, Yeah, I
mean I think that you've handled yourself in some situations.
I know mister Girardi would have fucking leveled me at home.

(22:28):
I'll tell you that.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
Well. She asked if she if he thinks she has
a drinking problem, and Eddie says, for their relationship purposes,
she shouldn't drink and just come to him.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
I agree. Yeah, nothing good is with alcohol. I mean,
I just it just doesn't Liquor and personal relationships like
that home just it's not good. It does not work
out well for anybody. And I'm not just saying you
so don't get offended. I just say as a full
on blanket statement, it's not.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
Good when we're unhappy and we're drinking.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
It's bad.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
It's bad. It's bad for everybody. It's bad what you know, like.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
And it just there's a limit to drinking, like there's
a limit to everything, Like one drink, two drinks, cute, three,
I start to become an asshole. Yeah, and I cannot
do that anymore, I.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
Know, and then I feel like death the next day.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
Yeah, it's just is anybody really drinking?

Speaker 1 (23:21):
I enjoy like one or two drinks.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
Yes, that's my max. I had two drinks over the
weekend and that was it because I just don't I
want to do other things. Yeah, you know, I don't
want to wake up in the morning and feel like
I feel terrible.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
It's just like, oh yeah, but I think that this
conversation is a lot of couples. I think you know
that you many couples. Yeah, when you.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
When alcohol gets involved, it's never It can start out
fun and it usually ends up in a in like
a bit bickering or even sometimes a snarl like I
I just don't like myself on liquor like this in
a relationship.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
Yeah. Then they all go to Amsterdam.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Amazing, like all of a sudden, we arrived in Amsterdam.
How did this happen? The magic of TV.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
There's no mention of no Katie really erased.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
I told you you erased from the record, just like.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Whoo yeah, no mention of no Katie. They arrive in
Amsterdam and they go on a boat in the canal.
Typical the outfits.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Yeah, so what they were dressed like and I'm down
for it, But it was like the day were they
going from day to night?

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Yeah, because I think they all wore the same thing
to dinner.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
Yeah, but it like Emily with the cutouts during the
day bold yeah, somebody with the lace body suit with
the thong bold. I mean, I'm giving it to you guys.
Like I was like, wow, could we Wow? Somebody said
you better. We got one outfit for the entire thing.
And they said, let me put on my nightwear.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
Yeah, they said let me put on my nightwhere And
somebody even said I forget, which maybe it was doing
like I think they think we're street walkers.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
Good good, I mean, I love it.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Then Emily asks Shannon if she thinks Tamar was being
shady when she brought up her dad's drinking, and Shannon
thought it was a dig and she's not able to
forgive her.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
I think it is a dig. I think it's better
to get over it, you know. And I know that
I said in a pod before, like you can see
you know I can say I you know things about
my dad, but you can't. So, but I think you
can get over it. I think there's you know.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Tamra says she can't apologize, but Shannon can't. Shannon brings
up being called a seaword multiple times at the dinner table,
and Tamra says, are you a sea word? How would
you have responded to Tamer's question.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
No, tam I'm not. I'm right. So there you go.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
I mean, you know I would have just said we
all are and moved on.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
And you know, it's interesting how that word is. So
what is the word I'm looking for? It's like such
a big deal here in the States, but like if
you go to the UK, everybody's calling each other.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Yeah, you know, but whatever, I mean, they are in Amsterdam.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
Close enough for me. But then again, you know.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
Emily, Tamra and Jen go to a store to decorate
a penis interesting. Yeah, Emily asked Jen about her vagina.
Jin says it's healed up nicely and now it's fine
and she's good to go.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Yeah. Great, I mean I think that's wonderful. She had
her pelvic floor fixed.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
Her pelvic floor fix, and then she said she had
some things cut off the front. She had all the things,
all the things, and now she's good to go back
to having good sex.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
That's great. We love a rejuvenated queen. Get that badge rolling, Well,
you're about to get married. I mean you're gonna be
using it more than you probably.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
Want, more than you are now, more than you.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Are now, because it's about keeping it together.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
Then Heather brings up boundaries and how Jen is still
close with Alexis. Okay, so this just to give you
a little backstory. Heather bringing up how Jin is still
close with Alexis is a little bit of a thing
right now, because apparently Alexis also invited Heather to her wedding.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Yeah, but Heather declined to go.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
But Heather's original response on why she declined was it's
my daughter's thing, it's my daughter has something at school.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
But then when she went on watched What Happens Live,
she said she added something else. Oh shit, Yeah, she
said I had my daughter's thing and I'm not really
that close with them as a couple.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
Yeah. Okay, Well, and so it's putting herself at distance
with Alexis.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
Yes, And then Jen says she got to save the
date but has not been invited.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
What does that mean if you got to save the
date but then didn't get invited.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
Well, I know what that means, because I just had
Alexis on the pod. So Alexis ended up disinviting Jin
because or not actually sending her an invite because she
started pulling away from her.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
Okay, well, look these things happen. I mean, it's not y'all,
what did you expect? I mean really?

Speaker 1 (28:36):
Yeah? But Jen, we literally see you tell Shannon you
will not go to the wedding because of her. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
I'm not going to make promises like that. Yeah, you
should go not go to the wedding because of you,
not because of someone else.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
Yeah. So now are we It's just back to the
wishy washiness. Yeah, we're just back to wishy washy. Then
Emily feels Jin wasn't into her bridal lunch. Jen says,
it's not her thing.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
But it's you pretend like it's your thing because someone
is going above and beyond for you pretend, you know,
if it's not your thing, you keep that to yourself.
And I'm not saying on camera, yeah you know, like
it's not gonna it's not gonna. You know, you do
realize that by you saying that it's going to become
a thing, right, Like you do realize that.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
Well, then Tamar thinks Shannon through the bridal shower for
herself to get back at Tamra by being close with Jen.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
Yeah, it's for the show. It's not that deep.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
You think it's not that deep?

Speaker 2 (29:30):
It's not that deep.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Then, Gretchen tells the girls that with Tamra, fighting fire
with fire is the best way to handle it. She
thinks Tamara only responds to strength.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
She could be right. You know, what do you think?
I mean, you know, tamor will.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
I don't think fighting fire with fire is the best
route with Tamra because I think she's going to keep going.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
You know, yeah, she doesn't.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
She'll just keep going, She'll keep going. I think the
best way for me, at least. We've only had one
argument that was like contentious, contentious, and I just kind
of had to like, even though I wanted to fix.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
It right away, Yeah, I had to let it stay.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
I had to let it sit there for a minute.
And then she got over it and I apologized, and
she apologized and then it was done. But it was like,
give her a second of space to let her kind
of process and not be reactive. Yeah, because that's the thing.
If you're reactive and then you're fighting somebody with fire.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Yes, I could see where that would escalate the sitution.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
I would escalate. And then they go out to dinner
and Shannon ate a space cake and was high.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
But we could get high here in California, Like, is
the weed that much better in Amsterdam?

Speaker 1 (30:58):
Do you think Shannon was playing up that she is
more high than she actually was, Like when she was
like getting down under the table to try to find
her barette and all those kind of things.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Well, we have seen her bring pots and pans to stuff, but.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
She did cook. We found out she did cook.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
Okay, here's the thing. I don't eat weed for this
reason because I don't know how it's going to hit me.
So I can't really say I don't know. I don't know.
I mean, I don't know how much. What is the
space cake anyway? So gummy?

Speaker 1 (31:31):
No? So apparently they had either I think they said
cookies or cupcakes.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
But what's in it? Just cannabis or is it hash
or what?

Speaker 1 (31:41):
What?

Speaker 2 (31:42):
What is a space cake?

Speaker 1 (31:44):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (31:44):
I mean, I don't want to go to space.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
Something something that makes you spacey, maybe more spacey, more spacey.
But then Tamra goes under the table to get Shannon's
hair clip. They're all getting along and they make it
out of it and it makes it look like make
it out of Amsterdam alive.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Well, I think that getting high is if you're yeah,
I mean, I'm I'm agreeable when I'm not drinking. Yeah,
but what do you mean not making out of it
out of Amsterdam alive? Is it all going to blow apart?
And I wonder what I wonder what will be the

(32:22):
catalyst for it to all blow apart?

Speaker 1 (32:25):
My guess is it's all going to blow apart. I
would guess that things are not going to stay so copathetic.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
It's a cast trip, cast trips, I tell you.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Yeah, So I think we have a lot to come
when it comes to this group of ladies in Amsterdam.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
Are you enjoying? Did you enjoy this episode? I think
it's a great setup for what may be coming.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
I think it's a good setup for what's maybe coming.
I think it was a little bit of a filler episode.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
Well you have to have those, yeah, especially you have
to have the builds, you know, you can't always have.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
Yeah, but I think we're not so it's so focused
on Tamera and Gretchen.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Yeah, I'm a little over it.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
I'm a little over that. Like I want more.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
Of other cast members.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
Yeah, I want more things.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
I think you want to see more. I think if
I were to guess, and you can tell me if
I'm totally wrong. I think that you, maybe, knowing your personality,
would like to see Jen called out in her behavior
a little more.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
Yeah, I thought so I would. Yeah, I think that.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
You think she's wishy washy. I know where you're going.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
I think she's wishy washy and it bugs me. And
then it also, you can't always be on. You can't
always play the middle.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Yep. You have to take a position.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
You have to take a position. And if you're always
going to play the middle, then I think it starts,
it starts weighing on you. Well maybe, but maybe she's
not going to because I think Gen's first.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
Well what happened between Well, how do you get first seat?
Be in the middle?

Speaker 1 (34:05):
I know That's what I mean. So we who knows what's.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Not that you compete for first seat because it means
you had a fucking shitty time as somebody who had
the first seat. Let me let me tell you that
was like awful.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
Yeah, so I mean we don't of course we don't
necessarily know what a first seat means, but a first.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
Seat usually means you get mixed up in it. Yeah,
you've got a lot of explaining to do.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
And so far, she hasn't no so far.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
If I were to look at that, I would say,
so what, yeah, well Tamor is probably Tamar has the
other first seat on the other side, yes, well duh,
yeah seat.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
So one side is Tamara, Gina head there, Katie okay,
and then the other side is Jen, Emily, Shannon, and Gretchen. Yeah.
I know it's it's a weird lineup, which leads me
to believe they they are going to be changing for us.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
Well, I guess are they going to get mad? Like
what's happening here? Does somebody have a complete breakdown?

Speaker 1 (35:08):
I don't know. Do you think that because Gretchen's been
involved in a lot of the drama, she should have
been more forward even though she's just a friend of.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
No, I think that's where they put the friends. Yeah,
just even though she worked a lot. I think that's
just kind of how it goes. I mean, do you
think she's speculating like on a ten years I don't know.
By the way, nobody else does either, So don't don't
get cute.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
We have zero idea.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
Yeah, but you just kind of show up and here's
your spot and you.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
Go Really, but would you say Gretchen is willing a lot,
or would you say this is who Gretchen is.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
Ah? Both. I think that Gretchen is working a lot.
I think Gretchen has worked really hard as a friend
and and came in with a clear agenda. I mean
these notes as to how she's different, and then the
referring back to the twenty seventeen like you know, they
talk about doing your homework. She came in prepared, which

(36:07):
is annoying.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
Which is annoying.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
And I've consistently said that I would have liked it
had Gretchen stayed in the present moment.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
Because I would say, this makes it like I don't
even know Gretchen.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
Like, well, I don't know the present day Gretchen. Yeah,
like I know the Gretchen that's like beefing out over
fifteen years ago of beef.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Yeah, that's what I mean, Like we haven't gotten to
know her what she's like.

Speaker 2 (36:31):
But she's right right now, what she's up to right.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
Now, because that everything has been.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
About the past, and I just think that that's a
real wasted opportunity, especially if she wanted to go forward
on the show. You know, it's okay to have like
you know, you need both you need, Hey, this is
who I am. Hey, this is my past, but this
is how I see myself going forward. Just to constantly
point backwards is a one trick pony in my opinion.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
And it gets old.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
It gets old. And if you want to stay on
and you you have to grow and evolve. Yeah, and
even if that means you're not you know, in the
forefront all the time at least shows some growth or
some some ways forward, which I think was a real
missed opportunity on Gretch's part.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
Do you think Gretchen is doing it on her own
or because she's been coached by slave?

Speaker 2 (37:20):
Oh? No, this is a two person situation, and I
think it's an old I think as the Housewives evolved,
just like however many seasons it's been on, it feels
very old school Housewives playbook. You can point towards the past,
but it can't be your whole thing. You can say, hey,
I feel this way because of X, Y and Z

(37:42):
in the past. However I'm putting my best foot forward
or whatever. I think that the key to remaining interesting
and is evolving, even if your softer side or more
vulnerable side, you don't always have to be on it. Yeah,
on it one hundred percent of the time. But then
but it's also only you didn't do anything. Well, yeah

(38:04):
I did. I was growing, Yeah I did. I was
letting things go. Yeah I did. I was looking at
things differently. But then again, you can just always played
at the cheap seats, which a lot of people do.
And I have a list. I got a list, and
I'm fucking good at this list.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
It's listed out.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
I will never I know, but you and I probably
share a lot of the same.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Yeah, we've probably shared the lot of the same. Yeah,
it's just enter dialogue. Yeah. Thanks guys for tuning in
to another episode of Diamonds in the Rough. We are back.
Do we have two or three more episodes left?

Speaker 2 (38:44):
I don't know. We have two, I think, and then
we have.

Speaker 1 (38:48):
Reunion Union, which I would guess it's a three partner.

Speaker 2 (38:50):
I'm sure. Yeah, I'm sure. Yeah, I'm excited listen. Once again,
I've enjoyed doing this show with you. I'm excited to
see the next episode and the one after that, so
we'll see, we'll see what happens, all right, guys, thank
you so much for tuning in, and like I don't know,
it's good to see you Ted, good to see you too,
Thank you, Bye bye.
