Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hi guys, Welcome back to another episode of the Order
of the Faithfuls. This is a special episode which is
Me and Dolores, and it's for New Year's Eve. Delores,
do you.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Like New Year's Eve? I do. I don't.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
It's been a long time since we've gone out for
New Year's Eve. It just I don't know. It just
kind of scares me going out for New Year's Eve,
like the people that are drinking, and it's it's just
a lot, you know. Unless I have like some private
event or some home party. You probably won't see me

(00:37):
nowadays out and about unless it's something really special. Last
year we were asleep in Big Bear. The year before
we had people over at Big Bear and we had
a nice party, playing pool and cards and drinking and
all that stuff. This year, Sophia and her boyfriend are
coming up to Big Bear, and who knows, we have

(00:59):
a lot of friends out is up there. So usually
New Year's is a big deal, so we'll probably all
get together.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
That's nice. That's really nice. So this is the pent
House and I have New Year's Eve up here. My
family comes, we watch the countdown because the fab over
forty competition. I usually will leave for Arizona the next
day to meet the winner. So yeah, and I'm not

(01:25):
a big New Year's person because I hate change, Like
I would rather sleep through it and wake up the
next day and think that nothing has changed.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Do you do New Year's resolutions? No?

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Never, No. I feel like they set up to fail.
But yeah, they set you up to fail.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Sometimes I think that that's good to make a goal
in life every year. I did not do it last year,
but I want to do it this year, so I
guess it's a somewhat of a resolution. Like I one year,
I want to do a fitness competition, So I trained
and did everything for a fitness competition. But I'm not
one to be like I'm not going to cuss and

(02:01):
I'm not going to eat bad and I'm not going
to do this. I'm not going to do that. I'd
like to just set up a goal for myself, and
it's usually fitness related, so I'm gonna do who knows
what I'm gonna do. I'm getting older now fitness isn't
as I mean, I work out to be healthy, but
I'm not working out to be like shredded anymore. Like
I have jobs, like I try my best.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Working out as a luxury. Someone told me that it
is luxury, and it's true.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
So, yeah, I have a chronic illness or an injury,
and tell me that working out is horrible. When somebody
you can't work out, that's that would be horrible to
me because it helps with your mental health as well.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Yeah, I mean I don't feel that way about it.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Get your ass on the tri already did the treadmill.
I just did the trouble for thirty minutes this morning.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Then I can't help the gym today. I have a
trainer I typically see three times a week. But that's
I look like I don't go to the gym.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
So that's you look amazing, stop bit, stop it.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
No. But so my goals would be to stay off
social media. That's a not goal. That is a good
goal because I feel like it's an addiction. Not so
the phone in general, not just social media. And I'm
not even I'm death scrolling through dogs and following the
monks like oh and I go all the way down

(03:23):
there their Instagram like that.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
I've been talking about the monks. I've been sharing, I've
been telling like people, have you followed the monks Dolores
got me onto this, Like I would say when it
I don't have an addictive personality, but if there's any
addiction that I have in my life, it is Instagram.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
So why don't you and I make a pact that
we limit very very much limit. Yeah, our time on
death scrolling social media.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
It's like nowadays, when we're bored, we'll get out the
phone and we'll just start scrolling. I don't do urans
or even in the car out of red light. It's
like it's so bad, so so bad. So that's your goal.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
And I think a lot of things will fall into
place once I get rid of that.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Yeah, when I've taken a break before where I'm just
other than business, I'm not on it, and my god,
it's it's like a whole nother world out here.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Oh my god, speaking of taking breaks from social media.
On Traders, you are forced to take a break.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
That's why you liked it. That's why you enjoyed it
because you had no phone.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Yeah, it was amazing, and you know, it's like total
seclusion from every all the noise, you know, social media
is noise, and.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
I'm really get into your head.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
It's a shame that that should even be a part
of my resolution or New year's goals. It really is
a shame.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
It should be everybody so stupid that it's even there, Like, yeah, cheers,
cheers to a new year.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
I love my glasses.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Do you like my nails? They're so bad, I'm taking
them off.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
They're acrylic. They why.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
This hand's done? I just have this is my own nails, right,
and then this one. I still have two or three
acrylic nails left, and so it's a process. You know,
I had my nail license for years, so I just
took the crylics off and then I put gel on.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Okay, but I need a better file.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
But anyways, let's do our cheers over again. Yes, I'll
do it with my other hand, So cheers.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Dolores.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Thank you so much for stepping up and filling in
for Teddy for this past year. I cannot believe that
it's been almost a year that you've been co hosting
with me. I know, I know, but I think so much.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
And thank you and Teddy so much for you know,
making this platform what it is. A lot of people
get a lot of joy out of it, and now
I'm lucky enough to be a part of it and
get in trouble with you.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
It's so amazing to just get to know you better
as well.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
I love that, and this has the TWATS has actually
been a platform for me more than anything in my
whole career to let people get to know me better
because I'm always to know that the middle of so
much chaos, and I'm a lot calmer than the rest
of the girls, and I only speak to them when
they're calm, so you don't see they don't really air

(06:27):
the calmness.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
And I definitely see a different side to you on
the podcast versus Jersey. I feel like you're always the
peacekeeper and you're always taking care of everybody else, and
now you're just kind of just speaking your mind. I
can get you in trouble sometimes.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Yeah, So I hope that doesn't happen, and I think
it's going too. But listen, I know what I signed
up for here. You know, I have some I'm not
filling anyone's shoes, but I have you know, I look
up to the two of you and what you've built
and everything you've done, and I have to be a
part of it and do it right.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
So thank you.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
That's what I'm doing. That's what I'm here for. And
cheers to a lot of health and happiness to our
dear Teddy. Yes, yes for this year. Love her so much.
We love you, Teddy, and cheers to a better year.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Twenty twenty five it just sucked, ass. Twenty twenty six
is going to be much better, right.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yeah. Peace in the world, and that's what the monks
are walking for, isn't it. Peace?

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Cheers, cheers, Like we said, happy New Year to everybody.
Twenty twenty six is coming up, and that means there's
going to be a new season of Traders, which we're
really really excited about. There is a like we can

(07:50):
go through the cast, but Candice Dillard, who we love,
Caroline Stanberry, Colton Underwood.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Derenda Medley and Kerry Christ and Kish I meant she's adorable.
Oh really, Donna Kelsey, you know, did they pick her?
Because I'm sure she's going to be great, amazing, Yeah,
our future daughter in law. People are going to tune in.
I'm sure. I'm sure how much Taylor.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Swift talk do you think we're going to see in
the I don't know, but I think that I don't
think she'll say much at least we know Taylor is
going to be watching, I know, right, And then we
have Johnny Weir and Lisa Renna.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Mark Ballas.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
Yeah, I didn't realize Mark Ballas was on. I don't
know why. It just didn't register to me because when
I saw his picture, I'm like, oh, but I'm sure
we've talked about a million times.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Did you say one exchange? Uh?

Speaker 1 (08:47):
No, I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Stephen Colletti from One Tree Hill, Ron Funches and Michael Rappaport.
They're both comedians, so I'm curious to see how that goes.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Laura Higgins, Rob Cesternino, Yeah, yam a Rocco Portia Williams. Yeah,
there's it's a good lineup. So that comes out January eighth,
so we will be recapping that.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
This is Tara Lepinske. I know, it's crazy, that's from
the past. I know.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
I love the Blast one the Past. I love that. So, guys,
we've been kind of just recapping the old shows to
get you ready and prepared and excited and caught up
for season four of the Traders. Who do you think
that they could possibly choose as a trader and do

(09:38):
you think what is their mindset behind it?

Speaker 2 (09:40):
What do you mean mindset?

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Like why, like why do they choose? Who do they
Why do they choose who they choose?

Speaker 2 (09:49):
I wonder if there's like a whole psychological background as
to who they choose and why. Hopefully they choose better
ones than the last one. He's saying.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Yes, seriously, last season, season three, all they did was
fight the entire time and stab each other in the back,
which I felt made it a little bit entertaining. Yeah,
I don't know. I have no idea.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
A lot of drama in the tourret There was a
lot of drama last year, but I feel like this
year and this is I'm just thrown out out there.
The roundtable is going to be some housewife drama.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Yes, you have some really outspoken housewives on this, That's
what I'm saying. Really, Candace Dillard, I cannot wait for
her one liners.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Yeah, so she she's gonna bring it. She left a
little baby home to come.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
I know, you know she was supposed to be on
your season, right and then because she was pregnant, she
got it.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Lisa, Lisa Rena, Holy shit, Lisa Renna, Like I am,
I am here for this. I'm so excited because I
may miss Lisa Renna. I want her back on Beverly Hills.
I don't think it's ever gonna happen, because she's been
very vocal about no thing, thank you, ma'am.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
But it's going to be great to see. Well you
never say never, Well, I think she said never.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
I think she has said never.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
A lot of people have said never and we've seen
them again. But I think Lisa Rinna, Derinda Stanbury, I
think that those are some heavy hitters.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Those good casting, it's great casting.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
You think any housewives are going to be traders this year?

Speaker 1 (11:30):
I think they have to. They have to put one
housewife in there or is it to do well? I
would like to see it.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
But how many?

Speaker 1 (11:38):
How how many housewives have been traders?

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Phaedra is that it? Yeah? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (11:46):
I think, uh.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
Just fa and the only housewife trader. And you know
when I came on, they were like, traders are housewives,
Traders are the trade. Housewives are traders house and so
being that there wasn't any last year, maybe they'll throw
a curveball and put some as traders this year.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
I think it would be smart to put Dereenda as
a trader.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
I know because you know she was.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Kicked off too early. They brought her back and now
she could be vicious. And now she can be vicious,
you can get her.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
H Yeah, yeah, I think that would be really good
and be like I got thrown off, so everybody, Well.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Let's hope that the traders actually stick together this time.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
Well, evil can't stay with evil, you know that. Yeah?

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Who do you think out of just the housewives, who's
going to be the most faithful faithful out of just
the housewives? Yeah, he's going to be the most faithful
of the faithfuls.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
If Derenda isn't a trader Derenda, Yeah, that's how I feel.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
What kind of faithful do you think Candice would be?

Speaker 2 (13:03):
I think she'd make a better trader. I do too.
I should be a nasty yes, so entertaining Lisa Rinna too,
she could, she could bring it. I don't think portion
Note would understand the game enough to be able to
be a trader.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
What are you saying?

Speaker 2 (13:22):
I'm just saying.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
What are you saying?

Speaker 2 (13:24):
I don't find her to be a gamer?

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Who do you think out of that entire group that
the fans dislike the most.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Out of this entire group that the fans dislike the most,
like who tell you I don't know enough?

Speaker 1 (13:40):
I mean, I forget was Michael Rappaport.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Oh, I wasn't even thinking.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
Yeah, he got a lot. I like him personally, I
know i've met him, but I feel like very talented
he is. But I feel like he's so outspoken and
people hate that and he gets so much shit and hate.
And when he was announced, the people weren't happy.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
But he's good TV. I bet TV good TV.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Who's going to be a fan favorite?

Speaker 2 (14:11):
I would say, see, I don't know the other ones
that well, do you think that Mama Kelsey?

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Yeah, what do you think? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
I don't know a lot about her, but she'd be
my favorite. She would be a fan favor because she's
like I love little like she's a little mom. Yes,
she's a little older mom.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
She'll come on and she'll be a total like evil.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
How's Rob Rouse? I don't even love Island. You got
to remember they carry a big fan base.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
Well too, I'm going to say he's probably hot. I
don't even know who he is.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
I'm saying Rob Rouse, she's going to be a fan
favorite because he's going to be the heart throb, right,
you know how there's always a heart throb that comes charming.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
So move over, Yeah, yep, move over because Rob is
in the house now, in the Traders Castle, and he's
going to take over. He's going to be getting all
the attention.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Yeah for sure.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Yeah. And then let's see who do you think will
be best at the challenges?

Speaker 2 (15:25):
Who would be best? Well, I think that anybody athletic
should be really good at the challenges.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Well, I think none of the housewives. No, I don't
think any of them are gonna be great at it. No,
because the physical ones.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Well, I don't know, Kandice looks like she's she's got
a great little body for working out.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Yeah, but most of them, I mean, the house was
they have are very I think I think the gamers
are always.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Really good at at the challenges because it's like the
world that they come from. So I'm going to say
the Olympic figure skater two and Tara Lipinski she was
a figure skater, but you know, the Dancing with the Stars,
it's hardly.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
For I don't watch Survivor, I don't watch Big Brother,
I don't.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Kristy like she looks like she could be pretty athletic.
She was on stage with me at Brabo Khon.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
I don't watch love so nice? Who was on stage
with you?

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Kristin kish Me, Jorinda. We did a Trader's panel, Oh fun,
Carolyn Stanberry, Kristin Kish, Tom Sands of All we had
it out on stage.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see if the housewives stick
together this season.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
I'd like to see them stick together, I really would.
And I'd like to see people let them stay on
a little longer than when they did with my season
because I was left by myself. I was on an
island by myself.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Oh poor you. You made it all the way to
the end.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Probably better off, but doesn't that that's very telling. I
made it to the end by myself, yeau, I was
by my Who do you.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Think will win?

Speaker 2 (17:13):
You'll never? I mean, who knows. I know I'd love
to see a housewife win, but then they break my record,
so not really.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
Oh my god? Is there any housewives did you'd like
to see on Traders for season five?

Speaker 2 (17:27):
I love seeing any housewife on Traders because they're like
a different animal. They give you good TV. They go
at it when they're around normal people, you know, the
normal you know they haven't had anybody.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
Have they had anybody from Salt Lake City?

Speaker 2 (17:42):
No? That surprises me since Salt Lake City gets so much.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
I wonder if they film the same time Salt Lake
City films, because that could be a problem.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
Well, they film in May, May, around May. I don't
know what I filmed in September. Oh? No, No, same
thing this year. They filmed around think two.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Episodes in one year May to June.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Oh they do, I think so?

Speaker 1 (18:10):
I mean they don't. Yeah, two seasons because I was
in September and you filmed in May.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Two seasons.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
But I mean they do one season a year, but
they film maybe two I don't think. Okay, well then
I'm wrong. I am wrong. But we're super excited about
the new season of Traders. Guys, I cannot be tuning in.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
