Speaker 1 (00:12):
Hey, guys, what's up. My name is Orca Jane. I'm
here with Diamonds in the Rough. Our friend Teddy Millencamp
is away, but I have a fabulous co host here,
the wonderful Matt Laffrey.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Listen to be called fabulous by the Erica Jane. I
can't ask for anything more. The podcast can end right now, guys,
it's over.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
No, it can't, No, it can't. Actually, we have lots
to talk about, and you have quite a stand up
career of your own, so I expect this to be
good and fun.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Thank you, Erica. That's pressure, but I'm ready. I'm ready
to be funny real quick. We should explain maybe why
Teddy's not here, so guys, just so you know, Teddy
loves this podcast so much. She had an issue today
where she needed to go get an MRI because she
was in a little bit of pain. And she is
someone that has a wrong reaction to munotherapy, so every
time she gets it, it's attacking a different part of

(01:05):
her body. Before it's her thyroid. Now they think it's
something in her pelvic area. So that's why she's not here.
She wants to be here more than anything, but she
wanted the show to go on, so that's why I'm
here filling in for her. She's a fighter and she
sends her love to all of you. But that is
the update, and now Erica and I can disagree.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
On things, and now we can all right.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Well, I want to ask you since you are in
the world of the show. So we ended the first
episode where they kind of were going at Katie about
the phone, and it kind of is like it to
be continued now. Sometimes we go right back into the fight,
but on this they kind of just speed through the
end of the trip and then enter into the women
meeting up separately. Why do you think we didn't get

(01:46):
the culmination of them with Katie showing the receipts.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
I've been on the show like this for ten years.
I try not to overthink things like that, try not
to get into production's mind or editors or the way
this is being told. What I did think was most
interesting was that they got to hot Pot, and that's
where it all got good for me. You know, when
you break up and you see the women break up

(02:10):
into pairs. I mean, that's obviously for build and everyone
has their own experience with whatever happened. Before. But I
thought it was interesting that they put Katie and Shannon
together knowing that Katie had filmed her, and you know,
then before Shannon, you know, gets to hot pot and

(02:31):
there you have it. Okay, Emily, Tam Regina meet up
for a lymphatic drainage. By the way, this looked like
a really interesting massage. So if anybody from that place
wants to hit me up, please do. I'd like to
get drained myself. And at the same time, Shannon and
Katie meet at this bench that you're talking about and
they're gonna talk. Go ahead, babes.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
So Shannon kind of gives Katie, I guess, like a
Housewives one oh one lesson here, right, Like she was
kind of telling her how to navigate the in a
way that Katie wasn't doing to kind of make her
relationships work on the show. Is how I took it
as a fan watching.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yes, but you can't do that season two. You're supposed
to figure that out season one. And as we see
as we get further down into the episode, Katie digs
herself into a bigger hole.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Right.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
But I will say Gretchen's blonde is fierce. That shit
is lifted up to a platinum level status. That that
is some blonde ass hair.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
All right, Well, since we brought up Gretchen's hair already,
it doesn't move for me. So I was like, why
what is going on with the hair? Is this where
Slate is hiding his money allegedly, Like, what's the story
of this hair?

Speaker 1 (03:43):
No, there's no room to hide money in that hair
because it's all up. But I think that her color
is like within an inch of being like ultraviolet, you
know what I mean. Like hair color is like just
really platinum, which I don't mind, like I love a
good platinum. But I was like, wow, that shit is

(04:04):
she looks great. I mean, she looks damn near the
same as fifteen years ago or however many years ago.
I did not like that. I know we're speaking out
a sequence. I don't care. I didn't like the fact
that when they got to Hotpot, there was no build
between Tamra and Gretchen. It was immediately into conflict. I
didn't want to see that. I didn't need to see that.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Well they do, you feel like they needed to.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
I don't know whose choice that was, but I would
have liked to have seen a little bit more build
before we go at each other.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, well, I'll get into it when we get there, right,
But since we're on Gretchen real quick as well, I
want to ask you because she makes a comment that
she has not had any plastic surgery done.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
And that's some hell of a preservation. Maybe she hasn't.
I mean, look, I don't know. If she hasn't, good
for her, and if she doesn't want to tell, good
for her. You know who cares, right whatever, you know?
And Katie telling Shannon that she appreciates Shannon sticking up
for her when she felt like everybody was, you know,

(05:02):
going after her number one. Hey, Shannon, you've been on
the show a really long time and you know how
that goes. So to say I don't like seeing somebody
getting we don't either. But that's kind of how this
thing works. This is the game. So you can say
you don't like it, but you've been a you know,
a participant of it and a victim of it, and
you're going to do it again.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Shannon knew what she was doing, of course she did.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
She calls flat and I do.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
I also want to say, for Emily, our friend Emily
at the podcast, I would love for my husband to
leave behind in and out Burger everywhere he goes. That
would be a dream marriage for me.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
That would be fine. I like Shane right, like, she
seems sweet and I really worry that, you know, Emily
is really going through it with Luke and I feel
badly for that. But you see how man and women
handle things differently in the car.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Well, well you get to that scene. I I have
a question. I'm gonna ask you, Okay, but anything else
that you want to say about this because we have
tamer thinks Katie is guilty on everything and they're talking
about the blogger. Still I do too, Yeah, And I.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Mean we've I did too experience shows like this is
not a good thing to do, Katie. Stop talking to
the bloggers. Just just do the show. Just do the show.
And then I loved it when Gina was like and
I like Gina. Gina got in she was like, I
feel bad I brought her into this group.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Well, well you know how bringing people into the group
on the show is.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
But still it makes you look bad because then they
say you brought them here.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Right right, You're like associated with them no.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Matter what, no matter whether you did or did not.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
So but Tama drops the bomb on Gena and Emily
about Katie recording Shannon at the.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Which is dirty.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Right do you think that, I'm going to tell you.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Right now, if one of my castmates did that shit
to me, you'd be out, like and and I also
think that our cast nobody would trust you Like that
is just not okay in any way possible. Being on
the phone with your husband recording it, sharing it with him, Like,
why why do you have me any things I've seen
and I've heard about people that I work with that

(07:04):
I don't do, Like, that's just what are you doing
that for? There's nothing good, There's no good motivation behind that.
Oh I was just you know, No, I just don't
like any of this behavior because it's really talking to bloggers.
You're recording your castmates for what.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Do you think that she just felt out of her
depth because she says.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
No, I feel like she has bad coaching. I feel
like she Yeah, I'm gonna tell you what I really think.
I've seen Hicks. I don't fucking know because I don't
know this woman, but I'm gonna tell you this. I've
seen women come in and think that this is a
game and it's some sort of chesting and look, guys,
show up and be yourself. Navigate around the moment. You
try to outfox a producer, or out fox or castmates

(07:45):
or I got one up on you. Number one, producers
hate you. Number two, your castmates fucking really hate you.
And number three, you're not doing what you're supposed to
be doing, which is entertaining. You know, you're not here
to like it's not the CEA like, we're not here
to do like spy games.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
We're here to entertain.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Yeah, are the FBI. I mean, well that's a different situation,
but that's not what you're doing as a housewife. You're
there to be in the moment developing relationships, whether they're
good bad. But like gathering information to lay out on somebody, well,
I know this, it's like I don't want to work
with somebody like that. I just don't want to work
with somebody like now I'm immediately shut down. I won't

(08:25):
talk to you.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Yeah. Do you think that Tamar was smart in giving
the information to Gena and Emily in the hopes that
they would bring it to the group instead of doing
it herself.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Well, I think that, yes. I mean it's softer if
it's Gina and Emily as opposed to Tamra, who, even
though she's right, is going to get a harsh response.
Does that make sense? So yes, And I mean I
don't know if that's thought out or whatever, but it
is a softer way to deliver it, which doesn't hurt
because you know, Tamra drives this show, right, Camra drive

(09:00):
this show whether you and by the way, is all
they talk about. I was about to say they handed
her the show last in this episode, just so you know, ladies,
you hand Tamra Judge the show every fucking time you
do this, and she sits there and smiles like.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
A fox and takes it on the chin, man on
the chin.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
And moves it along. It's just you know, you guys
are just handing her the show.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Yeah, I will say for Tamra, you know she's going
to therapy, which is great, and she's working on herself.
I do wish your therapist would tell her to stop
with the trucker hats. Tamra, if you're listening, ye, she
wears them for the truck her.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
Hats right now. Bond Dutch had a little bit of
a resurgence the y two K moment had a bit
of a resurgence, and I just, you know, I'm not
I'm not big on the trucker hat vibe.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
No, and they always say something but that meanly listen.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
But I also like people having an identity, so there
is something like if you're talking about her trucker hat,
she's clearly associated with trucker hats.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
Hopefully there's not a fire during this podcast.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
I mean, what else did you know? It's interesting because
there's like an aura of chaos around our group that
is legit. I don't know what consciousness were tapped into.
I'm really trying to figure it out. I'm like, I'm
watching every podcast I know to how to tap into
some better shit, and I just keep I.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
You know, I think it's hilarious. If you're listening and
you can hear that beep, I think it's Jesus is
here with us and he's beeping through the fire.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Detective.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
He wants to know that that this podcast is a
phenomenon one.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
This podcast is blessed from above.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
All I want to say about the scene was Shannon
and her daughter that we get with them going through
the fridge is that that was extremely relatable to me
because I had just traveled home with the Pittsburgh recently
and my mom tried to feed us eggs. It expired
in November of twenty twenty four.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Shannon's refrigerator looks just like mine, but mine's worse. Mine
looks like a fraternity house. Oh cold pizza. Like I've
had some people looking there that were like and these were,
you know, like males, Like my son was like, what
the fuck is in here? You're gonna die? Like what
is this? Like, there's you know, there's nothing in my refridge.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Okay, so cold pizza?

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Is there?

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Beer?

Speaker 1 (11:11):
No? No?

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Oh, there's probably lots of coke A.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Cola about well, don't look at me, lots of that
was so shady cola. Yes, there are coke called colas
in my refrigerator because you know, sometimes kids keep coke

(11:35):
in the fridge. And then I have some perier, my
fancy friends that come over, like rachel Zo who just
came over the other day, who, by the way, I
really like.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Okay, well that's good to know. I don't know if
I can ask you. I would love to dig into
real house like Burly Hills is an aside.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
But I can't say much, but I can't say I
like Rachel.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Oh clock that yeah, if you have, if you didn't
clock that clock that, I.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Did like Rachel. I think she's she's really good, she's
good to be and she's a cool person. But my
refrigerator is not much better than Shannon's. And I loved
watching her daughter come home. And I love it that
her daughter is in New York City living her best life.
I actually enjoyed that.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
I think they have a fun relationship to her, and I.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Enjoy seeing that because it was just enough. It was
just enough, it was positive, and I like that. I
like a quick check in with the kids.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Yeah, I agree with you. Well, speaking of kids, the
next scene we get is Shane and Emily having their
heartbreaking drive after Emily's therapy. Now, there's a lot of

(12:48):
chatter online, so I ask you how you feel about it.
There are people who feel like Emily shouldn't be talking
about this on camera. So for you, as someone who
is on a show like this, do you agree disagree? Like,
what are the pros and cons of speaking about your
child's disorder on camera that will last forever?

Speaker 1 (13:09):
I have two versions of this. I didn't speak about
a child. So I understand, you know, children are the
most protected thing. But when I spoke about my own
mental health journey and my own therapy and what I
was doing to kind of like, you know, get myself
back on track, I received a lot of messages saying

(13:31):
thank you for talking about it and showing us that
or showing the audience that number one, things happen to everybody,
and perhaps you know, I understand why people would say,
don't speak about your child, but also what if there
are families that are going through the same thing and
bringing awareness to something like this. Ultimately, if you help

(13:53):
one person, I think is wonderful. But I think that,
you know, talking about things all of the shame away
from them. I don't know. Obviously it's individual. I get it.
I understand both sides, I really do. But bringing awareness
to something like this can help.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
Yeah, I agree with you. I mean, it's her child
and she is going through the situation. I think seeing
her and Shane deal with it and seeing how they
react to things differently is also an interesting.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
That's a male female thing, is it? When I watched
that scene, I watched a male brain and a female brain.
I didn't watch husbands and wives not getting along. I
just saw the way a mother processes things in a
way of father processes things. And I didn't think that
either one was wrong, you know, I didn't. I. You know,

(14:44):
it's a really sensitive situation and mothers and fathers process
things differently, and males and females process things differently.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Yeah. I agree with you though, that it's something that
isn't talked about a lot. It was interesting to know
that this is a disorder that even.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Exists, right, clearly, this exists. Yeah, And I'm sure that
she is not alone and Luke's not alone, and perhaps
you can shed some light on that and maybe maybe
help someone.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
And I think for as as someone who's been a
fan of the shows for so long, and the fandom
kind of especially if they're not on someone's side per
se and during the season, they want to find fault
in things. But guys, if there's someone out there who
is seeing someone on TV dealing with something that they
are dealing with that they aren't able to maybe talk
about or don't know how to express themselves, and they
can feel seen and see like, oh other people go

(15:34):
through this, it's always a positive.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Or you know, Emily is also well spoken and educated,
and I'm sure that she will be out there, you know,
helping to bring awareness to this. Yeah, I'm sure of it.
And there are others out there. I'm sure this exists.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
People Magazine spread, So yeah, she is, She's using her platform.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
How about this? How about we leave Emily, Luke and
Shane alone, correct Aimen, Just leave them alone?

Speaker 2 (16:00):
So then we we go and Gretchen enters the scene
for the first time, our girl, Gretchen with her hair and.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
With the platinum hair.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
So what is your view on Slade? You're like, what
your when he walks on the on the screen, what
happens to you? Does your buttole tents up a little bit?

Speaker 1 (16:17):
Or well, I can't say that, but I don't see
it either way. Look for whatever reason, let me just
say this clearly, Gretchen and Slade have a relationship that
has lasted. I did not know that Slade's son had
passed away from a brain tumor. That's heartbreaking. I know that,

(16:39):
you know, I didn't know that they weren't they were
they had not gotten married. I know they share a daughter.
I don't care, like I'm not really either.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
Way, Katie and Matt hosting, Gretchen, Slade, Jen and Ryan Right.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Yeah, and it was a good old Tamra fest. I mean,
you guys again, you know everybody's talking about tam Good
for you, Tim.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
Right, Like it's just the very first thing you bring up,
so you you almost are making it more rele You're
making her more relevant.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Well, the only reason the six of you are sitting
there is because of Tamra Judge, right, because that's that's
what brought you guys together. And when you do that,
it becomes tamor show.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
And also, let's not forget the Tamra was let go
from the show and two seasons of the show went
on and then they asked Hammar to come back. Gretchen
was let go from the show, and one million seasons
went on before Gretchen was asked BacT. So I think
we should just let that be known that there's a
reason why Tamar Judge was brought back very quickly to
the show after her long tenure.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Yeah. And whether you like Tamra or dislike Tamra, bottom
line is we're on a show watching, you know, conflict,
and Tamra brings a lot to the show, so much
so that six people get together who really don't know
each other and talk shit about her.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
There is something I need?

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Am I right?

Speaker 2 (18:01):
No, You're one hundred percent right, And people are probably
going to be like, oh god, just someone else filling
in for Teddy to stand up for her.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
I'm not standing up for Tamra.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
No, I'm just and I don't like what.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Tamarra said about Slade's child regardless, Like I don't care.
And there are times that I don't like Tamra's behavior
and I will say that, like, come on, girl, like stop,
you don't need to push that hard. That's ridiculous. However,
you cannot deny the fact that she's drawing all of
that to her.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
There is a reason why she's the longest running housewife.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
Yeah, and so I mean, lover or hater, she's pulling
it in so real quick.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
We need to discuss Jen Gretchen saying that every New
Housewife reaches out to her to discuss Tamara, because there
is this screenshot that we have from Jen's previous season.
She had posted about tamar and Gretchen initially comments.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
So Gretcham reached out in the comments section as opposed
to I know this feeling all too well. I'm sorry
you're blindsided. I never really understood why certain cast members
think other people's relationships are any of their business or
that they have any say in them. It's weird, empathetic,
stay strong girl, And then Jen responded, you definitely have
walked in these shoes. It's not easy, as you know.

(19:12):
Thank you for reaching out. Let's connect. I would not
give this woman that much power.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
So and now, so why don't they see that? On Instagram?
Jen then put up her receipt where she then DMed Gretchen.
But this interaction in the comments happened first, and then
Jen DM Gretchen, and Gretchen sent her phone number.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
And I'm sure they got together and said, what do
you talk about? I know, but what are you gonna do?

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Like?

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Roll? You're on, you're on a you're on an ensemble cast,
roll with punches.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
Yeah, we'll talk more about Gretchen and gentle minute. But
I have to ask you, as someone who loves the
straight man, did you catch Matt Katie's husband picking up
the wooden spoon and going what's this for? To smack that?

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Yeah? It was a little stiff and awkward.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Don't do that why he's like fifty eight years old.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Well, I'm fifty four and I smack that ass.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
I would actually let you smack come over.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
To my house and see what happens. Yeah, I'm not shy, but.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
You know whatever, I take it back because I'm about
to right now on him.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
It seems a little awkward.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
It seemed forced. It was like at a dinner party
and it's like, why are you like? It was weird
to me.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
Well, I also don't like the Hey, they all ganged
up on Katie. Oh yeah, God, I didn't like Hey, Matt.
Katie brought that on herself. So we can't have the
And this is what happens. I hate husbands on these shows.
I fucking hate him. And I'll tell you why. This
is women's business. Don't get involved in women's business. Like
the great Meani Leak said, don't get involved in women's business,

(20:51):
stay the fuck out of it.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
And the same for the shady gays. Okay, we don't
need you. Shady gaze caught some problems.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
I mean, I think the shady gaze are good for
quick reads, Like, yeah, I do have a good reason.
I'm a tolerate gaze. I'll tell you why sometimes y'all
are better than housewives.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Well they can pop in and give give a little
quick humor for the gays.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
Getting these chicks together with their hair, makeup, glam and
their quick reads, these shows would be bland. And I
said it all right, So.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
Erica, if you need me to come on Beverly Hosing
Drive Story, just let me know.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
I shall. Do you want me to do? Immunlater want
me to slide into your DMS Matten to ask you
what should I do with this? Because God knows that
you know I mean, but it's true. I mean, listen,
we need gays. We don't need straight man. You guys
need to watch football and or wrestling or something else.
Just stay out of women's business. And I'm not in.

(21:45):
But gay men are welcome here because they have a
unique perspective and unique skill that y'all ain't got.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
You know what we need straight men for on the show.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
There is one nothing, no money, no bills, backdrop, props set.
You know that's what we need from y'all.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
No to sit silently while the housewife downloads on what
happens and the man can.

Speaker 1 (22:09):
Pretend I remember being married and Tom just looking at
me like what the fuck? Like, I girl, shut up.
I don't want to bother some man at home with.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
And then she said, as if you didn't call from
the ride home, Like could you believe what this bitch
said about.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
I called from the ride home the other day. That's
a whole other story. My gaze.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
Put me on that group. You know what?

Speaker 1 (22:40):
You know what? Actually, hold on a second. I should
have picked up the phone and called.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
Yeah. But while we're at Katie and Matt's were intercut
with Heather coming over to Tammer's house.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
What's going on with the floor and why is that
being drilled up?

Speaker 2 (22:55):
She said it was overflowed from a sink.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Oh that's right there. I guess it must have ruined
all the tile water damage? Eh?

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Is that? Is that as overflowing of a sink and
destroy just the whole kitchen?

Speaker 1 (23:04):
I mean, I guess if it's sat, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
I rent, so I don't guess what I rent too.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
I'm a renter, he too?

Speaker 1 (23:13):
Oh my god?

Speaker 3 (23:14):
You know?

Speaker 1 (23:15):
Wow? Whoa we rent? Okay? But you know what I
did like about this was when Tama got into her
single white female about Jen and then and she pulled out.
She pulled up that old Instagram photo and she said
that her lips looked like hot dogs, and I just
thought that was like, look, we've all had a few

(23:36):
pokes and pricks and whatever. You know, Jen's sweet and cute,
but Tama was being Tamor and then she even had
her old extensions put in like Tamra went for her.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
She read her down, well, like the used isn't that
like a help code violation?

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Can't do that, like they just you can't use used
hair that came out of my hair and put it
on somebody else's hair, Like.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Who is this hair girl that took out TAM's extensions?
Like you know what, what is this?

Speaker 1 (24:05):
What's that health cone violation? We're gonna have to send
the health and beauty people over there immediately. The workout
pictures as well, and then she called her heavy. But
you know it is Heather who I love, who really
is pulled back. She looked at gin shoes that Instagram
post and was like exactly, and what the hell I

(24:33):
saw her? Absolutely she was repulsed and I clocked it,
and I was like, she's looking at the girl's shoes
and she's like Tammer's focused on the lips.

Speaker 3 (24:51):
AND's gotten her look together and she's adorable. And then
they cut to the bikini thing where she's crushing it.
But my god, and that we all have bad pictures.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
I'm not saying I don't. God knows there enough of me,
But in that moment, just Heather's face was just repulfed
by ses the dsw vibes, and they were they were.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
Like some cork I don't know what. They looked like
cork wedges but with a heel.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
Oh, and they think they were like a nude.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
Udel like you know, I don't even want to say,
but because oh my god, it was just.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
A bad look. And they did that on purpose, and
you know, it was like bad hair color. It was
before Jen got her look together. She's got her look together.
She looks great. She's adorable. We love to see it.
But that picture was, Yeah, we love a glow up.
Everybody has a glow up. Everybody gets a glow up.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
Timber brings up how Gretchen had reached.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
Out to her daughter. I don't like that either, Yeah,
do you?

Speaker 2 (25:53):
So we get into semantics later, which we can talk
about in.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
This, don't we all scene, Right, what is this show
without Mantis?

Speaker 2 (26:00):
But it just seems like Gretchen was perpetually living in
the comments her entire time off.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
The show, which I don't like. Let it live on
the show.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
Well, I mean, do you think she has been trying
to get back on the show for a year? Is
that why she's in these comments? Like what?

Speaker 1 (26:15):
Yeah, it's kind of like how Camille will comment. And
no shade to Camille, but you know you do that
to you know, keep your keep your presence alive. I
wonder what this title. If I was sitting there as
I was taking my notes on this, I was like,
I should I hope they titled this fucking episode hot pot.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
Maybe I didn't even I didn't even see what they
titled it.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Hard the first off, I've never been to a hot pot,
but I've heard all about it. But it doesn't look
like my vibe. All right, So the girls arrived for
Katie's hot pot lunch and tammer reintroduces herself to Gretchen
and immediately they get at it, and I'm just like.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
Eh, well, first we have to do the Shannon and
Katie think first, because they we get to the word lets.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
The bomb out that why do I like Gina so much?

Speaker 2 (27:05):
It must be the vocal fry. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
I think it's just the jersey.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Is it for as long?

Speaker 1 (27:10):
Wherever the folks she's from. I don't know. I just
think it's funny. Hi, Brad, I don't know. I love it.
I kind of like it.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
Can you do the rest of this podcast in your
Gina impersonation? That's not even Cartman meets like family guys.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
I know that that's what they say. I sound like,
is Cartman? Do they? Yes?

Speaker 3 (27:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (27:31):
Now yeah, now yeah now, And I'm like, okay, that's fine.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
Wait I didn't know that, but now that's hilarious.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
Yeah, I thought it was more Bart Simpson. Yeah, but
it's fine.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
But in a flashback we get where Katie admits that
she did call the blogger with camera. Yeah, and it's
those kind of scenes for me as of you or
I'm like, why in you? I would love for you
to give me a reasoning. Why is that? Did we
not get the actual scene there? Because I felt like
it was a vital information.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
You mean, why did you only just get that one segment?

Speaker 2 (28:13):
We just got the little bit of a flashback.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Yeah, because that's the only piece that worked, so that
you have to a lot of times, you have to
talk around everything in order to get one sentence that
explains what we've been doing for three hours. Okay, and
that's the most important thing. And I love a flashback
because it does remind the viewers, Hey, she really did
say this.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
Well that was the first time she admitted it though, right,
But do you think it kind of gets brushed over
then that we don't really get the full effect of
like oh shit Katie was lying.

Speaker 1 (28:43):
Well, uh, if you don't get the oh shit Katy
was lying from the statement, I don't know how I
can help you. Okay, do you see what I'm saying,
Like I don't really need much more than that my personality,
Like when I look at shit, I'm like, that's what
I was looking for the entire fucking time.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
Now I know you are a liar.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
Well and then she lies again.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
Yeah, which this is a problem for that cast, I mean,
those those women in that group, Like I feel as
if you know you're gonna for me. I know that,
and I think I speak for my cast, like you're
starting to put we would put Katie at arm's length,
like no, not talking to you about anything. Not It's

(29:23):
gonna be real surface with you, well, very surface with you,
because there's a certain and people don't understand this, like
there's a certain level of trust amongst a group of
women when you film this show. Now, I don't know
how it's done in Orange County. I do know how
it's done in Beverly Hills. I know that the older

(29:45):
cast mates in Atlanta. You know, even though it looked
like they all hated each other and were ready to
kill each other, there were some of them that were
really close. You can't speak for New York. I know
Derrenda's cool, and you know, and Delores and Melissa, like
you know, I you just don't trust somebody like that.
But here's does that make sense?

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Yeah, I understand it. I understand what you're saying, and
I get I think it's different because you're in it.
But watching it, it almost feels like because I feel
like we're going to a point where they're going to
ice Katie out right, and it feels like that gives
the cast almost too much power in reality show situation
where they're dictating who can film.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
No, No, Katie shouldn't have done it. You can do
it once, you can't do it multiple times. Yeah, you
can make a mistake, you can snubble stumble, but you
cannot repeatedly do this. When you see this done as,
it's not about who can film, it's about that person
over there, I don't want to work with that. Not
I don't want to work with that. That's not fair.

(30:43):
But like, I'm not revealing. Why would I be vulnerable
in front of that person? Why why would I say anything?
Why would I reveal anything that's you know, important to
me to her?

Speaker 2 (30:57):
I get that?

Speaker 1 (30:57):
Does that make sense? You have to trust the women
that are in the circle with you, right, But in.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
The world of housewives, isn't it part of the job.
We'll call it to almost use I get what Katie did.
So Katie recorded somebody without their knowledge, which is very shady,
and then she went to a blogger to talk shit
about Tamera. But haven't all housewives at some point, No,

(31:23):
not done something like that, but done something wrong towards
another member of the show, of the cast.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
Of course we have. But you can't repeatedly do it
to every member of the cast and expect these women
to trust you. She's picked off every single one of them.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
Yeah, I mean, I just think you can't.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
What she's doing is isolating herself. She's going to be
alone on an island with a bunch of what blogger
friends Woody and also like production doesn't like that shit,
don't be ratting.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
Well, it's a show to show it destroyed Jersey the
blogger situation.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
You can't do that, Like, we're not that's not what
we're here for, right.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
I hear you. I'm glad to get your perspective because
I feel like as viewers we see it as like
a not I'm not I don't like the word. I
don't one gang up or anything but us. It was
like on Vanderpump Rules almost where they didn't want to
film with Tom and it's like, well, you're on a
show together. You should be filming with the people on
the show, is what I'm trying to say, Like, yeah, you.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
Should, but you should also trust the people that you're
filming with that that's what they're going to do is
film with you and not go another route and tell
the show gotcha. You see what I'm saying. Like if
I got on the phone and I said, you're never
going to believe what happened on Friday Night, which I could,
but I don't if I got on the phone and said, ooh,
you're never going to believe what happened on Friday night

(32:46):
with the new people. Is that cool?

Speaker 2 (32:51):
No? But that's exactly what I would prefer you start
doing with me.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
I cannot do that contractually. I cannot do that. And
and it's just you put yourself in weird places like
it's not worth it. Just enjoy the show for what
it is, yeah, you know, and then you have your
chance to lay everybody out later.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
So your girl, Gina Cartman reveals the information that Katie
recorded Shannon at the gallery shoot right yep, which was
told to her by Tama Judge. So do you was
Gina just doing her job there? Like? Do you think
she was all of it?

Speaker 1 (33:30):
Gina brought Katie into the group, which gives her the
perfect reason to say this. Tamra did the right thing
by handing it off to Gina because it's a softer
delivery than Tarma. Doesn't look like the hammer all the time, right,
and maybe Gina, you know, look, nobody feels good in
this situation, so I don't really care about that. That's
pretty like kind of the way it is.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
I'll tell you what pissed me off is Shannon, I
need you to stay in the scene, like, oh, don't leave.

Speaker 1 (33:56):
That bothered me, just didn't bother you. Yes, I didn't
like it either. I didn't like it either. I did
not like it either.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
Why are you I don't even understand why you were allowed?
Like this is where I'm like production should have stepped
in and be like, can you at least have the
conversation of like, why why did you record me? What
were you was it?

Speaker 1 (34:18):
What was the gain? What were you going to do
with that? Why would you do that? What made you
think that was okay?

Speaker 2 (34:22):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (34:22):
You knew I was in a lawsuit with these people,
like what are you doing?

Speaker 2 (34:25):
And I think it was your girl who was like
I love.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
The way you said I stick up for Gina once.
She's my fucking girl. Hey, Gina, just so you know,
I don't stick up for anybody's a Shannon.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
You laving shows growth? I'm like, no, it doesn't show growth.
It shows that she's afraid of being outed as someone
who's a lunatic off camera, is my opinion.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
Well, I also think that it's just not doing your job.
It's unique to be two things, a lunatic off camera,
on camera, all of it.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
I mean, we know Shannon likes to run away from
multiple situations.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
Well I'm tired of housewives running Shannon, everybody including my own.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
Oh have we had a run off this season?

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (35:07):
Amy, But yeah, So Gretchen takes this as an opportunity
to say who told you that? And and Gin it's like,
well Tamara didn't in. Gretchen is of course uses it
to villainize Tamra.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
And then they get into it. And I didn't need
that from you, Gretchen. I wanted to like you for
five minutes. I know why you're there, and you're going
to get your moment and you're gonna do a great job.
But just this one hot pot thing, like, let this
just be between the women that were actually there. Does
that make sense? Yeah, just let it be between the
cast that was there.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
Well, she just couldn't wait to get in Tamar's ass.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
Right exactly, And you have all the time in the
world to get in her ass.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Can you do me a big favor? God to camera?
Do you remember what Gretchen said when Tamara said she
reached out to her daughter and Gretchen said, she just
commented on a Facebook it's become a big meme on
the internet.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Is it in my notes? What did she say?

Speaker 2 (35:59):
She goes, it's not the same thing, and then they
stood on her face for like a good eighty five seconds.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
No, I can't do other people's lines.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
I think. I think you've already done a very good
Gina today.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
Yeah, but that was because I wanted to do.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
You think it's the same thing. No, so you don't,
So you disagree with Tamara. So Tamra says Gretchen reached
out to her daughter, and Gretchen says, I commented on
a Facebook post.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
Yeah you should. Yes, bottom line is reaching out. It
could be conceived. Yes, I can see why Tamara said,
you reached out to her. Don't need to be commenting
to kids and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
No, it's weird behavior in my opinion, especially when they're
that I mean. But so then Gretchen brings up, which.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
I'm tired of, the fifteen year old beef. I find
something new. I'm sorry, find something in the present day,
because you had to send me that whole thing as
to why these two fell out, And personally, I don't
really care because it's just too far along. Nobody in
the like the point of and I believe the point
of the show season after season, you fall out, you
make up, you fall out, you make up. You have

(37:03):
different friendships, different experiences, is because you stay in the moment.
I don't want to see Gretchen enter with fifteen year
old beef. I don't care, right, I'm trying just to
get through yesterday.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
Let me give you a little background though. So in
twenty twenty three, the People magazine article came out where
Slave's ex wife Michelle had revealed that he owed all
this money in back child support and he wasn't helping
with their sons, their son's medical.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
Bills, right, which is look, that's a tragedy.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
But we covered it. I will say, as a producer
on this podcast, Tama has not wanted, she doesn't even
want to bring Gretchen up, but it was a big headline,
so we covered it and she spoke her mind about
it and then donated to the GoFundMe. And that's what
Gretchen is bringing up on the show now, is saying
that Tama talks about him badly on the podcast, and
it's like she was covering a People Magazine story. Well

(37:54):
she does.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
Yeah, that does fall in her job.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
I do want to talk ask you. So Gretchen says
in her talking head that Tama doesn't know how to
have a real friendship.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
We know, I don't know because I'm very not surface level,
but you know she's an acquaintance. I don't know Tamara
very well. I can't say that I know Teddy is
friends with Tamara.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
Right, which I can say, I think since you know her, right,
I know Tamara. We have a group chat with Teddy.
I'm very close friends with Teddy. I don't know if
people know this. We didn't really say it, but I've
also gotten to know Tamara very well working on the show.
Tama and Teddy have a real friendship, like I've seen.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
Yeah, they really do, right.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
So I don't Gretchen. I think Gretchen is just she's
been so wanting to get back on this show and
she thinks her job is to just go after Tamara incessantly.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
Well, she's back on the show, and she did her job,
which was immediately go after Tamra. And it's just I mean,
and we'll see where that goes.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
Did she do the job?

Speaker 3 (38:59):
Well?

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Do you think.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
I think she got her moments in. Do you.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
I have my own reservations about Gretchen for other things
that I don't need to talk about on this podcast.

Speaker 1 (39:16):
Okay, well then that can color your opinion.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
There is one final thing I think we should discuss.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
The hardboiled egg that wasn't a hard boiled egg.

Speaker 2 (39:25):
Please Jesus, since he's been a part of this podcast,
can he please help us with embily sticking shit.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
Yeah. I just think it's a it's a I'm going
to eat it on the way home.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
What restaurant would serve a hard boiled egg with the
shell still on it?

Speaker 1 (39:43):
Maybe a hometown buffet. I don't know, you know, I
thought I've never been to hot pot, so I thought
it was a hard boiled egg. I would have been
the dumb dumb that thought it was. I didn't know
you had to cook it?

Speaker 2 (39:54):
Who you Have you ever tried to crack a hardboiled
egg and peel it? It takes a good five minutes hues.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
Yeah, but some are easier than others. I just think
that I would have. I just I'm not going to
put a hard boiled egg or a real egg into
my purse for later on the drive home.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
I just want to know how often you go to
hometown buffet.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
I've never been to hometown buffet, but if I would go,
just I like a buffet.

Speaker 2 (40:20):
Have you been to the Golden Corral?

Speaker 1 (40:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (40:22):
Oh yeah, oh.

Speaker 1 (40:23):
Yeah, I'm telling you there was a Golden Corral by
my house when I was little and Betty Donna. That
was like the names that they would call up to
come get your meals. Betty Donna, yep, I remember the
Golden Cral. I can't believe they're still around.

Speaker 2 (40:40):
Wait to come get your meals.

Speaker 1 (40:42):
Yeah, that was like what they would do to the
server to come get there. The thing clearly we went
to the Golden Corral after church.

Speaker 2 (40:49):
Oh, we went to Applebee's.

Speaker 1 (40:51):
I like an apple Bee's. I like an Applebee's with
those loaded desserts or whatever.

Speaker 2 (40:57):
Oh they have the well now I'm thinking of bjsabazuki.
I mean, guys, I'm so glad that we could end
this talking about all of the foods that we would
be eating.

Speaker 1 (41:07):
Yeah. Instead of hot pot, I'm gonna tell you, we
could have gone to the cracker Barrel.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
Oh don't get me.

Speaker 1 (41:14):
Chicken fried steak going well, I enjoyed this episode, and yeah,
I mean, I what my great takeaway is? You know,
I need to see Heather do brow more. Gina was cute.
Gretchen's hair is blonde. She came in to do what
she needed to do. Tamera, they're giving you the show.
In my opinion, I don't care what anybody says. Emily,

(41:38):
I'm really sorry for Luke and you're in Shane's journey
and I'm sure it'll be all worked out. And sending
you all the best. Jen, glad you got the glow up.
You look adorable. Katie bad way to isolate yourself on
the show.

Speaker 2 (41:59):
And hit up DSW for all of your cork.

Speaker 1 (42:04):
My god, DSW hit us up, send us some dollars.
We might wear those cork shoes you never know. Thank
you guys for listening to teas in a pod with myself,
Erica Jane and filling in for miss Teddy Mellencaan.

Speaker 2 (42:15):
Matt Lafferty.

Speaker 1 (42:16):
Thanks guys, see you next time.
