Speaker 1 (00:02):
Two Teas in a Pod which Teddy Mellencamp and camera judge.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Hi, guys, welcome to another episode of Two Teas and
a Pod with myself, Teddy.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
Mellencamp and cambrid Judge. Good morning, Ted, Good morning.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
I see you're in bed.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
I'm in bed. I have some restless leg syndrome stuff.
And when I was sitting at my podcast desk or
whatever you want to call it, it was like my
leg was pounding and making a noise and I was like,
that's gonna drive everywhere. That's like I even cough or
sneeze or irb and people are on me.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
So the last thing I need is my leg going.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Tap tap tap tap tap.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
That's all right, But yeah, no, I haven't been feeling great.
How about you.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
I'm sorry, I'm okay. I'm just so exhausted, you know,
from going to New York and just it's just, you
know what I mean, It's like a whirlwind of stuff.
So we're in Big Bear right now, just relaxing and
a little tired.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
But that's it. That's it.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
But you know, we are going to recap episode six
of season seven Housewives in Miami right now.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Miami is given man there's so good, so much.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
It really is.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Well, it starts out where the ladies all arrive at
the village Tskana for their narcissist Greek party.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Okay, I need to know where this place is. It
was so beautiful I want to go there. So is
it in Miami?
Speaker 3 (01:36):
I don't know, Like is it.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
A wedding venue?
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Like?
Speaker 3 (01:40):
What is it? It was really beautiful.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
But I have to say I was expecting this narcissist
Greek party to go a different way.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
I mean, I knew it was going to be coming
at least way.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Did you think it was going to go No, I
just thought the guy was going to be teaching more lessons.
And did did Alexia find him on social media?
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Yes, Alexei had found him on social media. But I
thought he was going to come on and maybe do
like quizzing or well.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
I don't think it's supposed to be a game.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
I think it was supposed to be like a building,
like you know what I mean, Like it was supposed
to be some interacting building friendships and all this stuff,
not like let's see who the biggest narcissist is.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Oh, like team building.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Team building, That's what I thought it was going to
be like, and it turned into people were calling it
a game. I'm like, this is not no game. I
want to play, and then it was it really because
I would have got the most flags.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
Yeah, I mean you probably would have.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
If you bought the most flags, would you cry?
Speaker 2 (02:40):
I think the Teddy of six years ago probably would
have cried right now. No, I'd be like you in
the flags and I'm keeping all of them, so you
can't play in the red flag.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
You wrote in on when we got Stephanie to apologize
to Lisa for the way she talked to her on
the bus. I only saw clips because obviously I was
in New York last week. But was it really bad?
I have to go back and watch that episode. Did
she really go in on Lisa? Because I'm sorry, I'd
be pissed off.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
To you if I waited two hours.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Here's the part that they're not talking about. That they
that somebody shared online that I read, and it was
that they that Lisa had told them she was running
late and to leave without her and that she would
get there on her own, and.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
They I don't know if that's they is production or
they is.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Well.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Lisa tweeted that yeah, but I have a feeling that's true,
that doesn't Why lie about that? I know, I know
I did she say why she's going to be late
because glam Well, that's not an excuse, like you know
you have to film, you know you have a time,
and you know you have to show up. That's part
of being a big girl, Lisa, right.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
But either way, you know, they chose to wait the
two hours after she said leave.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
But she know why they did that, because they waited
the two hours when they for her on the jet
that one time, and then.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
They waited for it.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Want to show a pattern, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
And then they Larsa was waiting for her when they
start to have their conversation again. I mean, I don't
even think there's that much to recap when it comes
to the Villa Tuskana, because I thought the entire thing
was kind of a turn off for me.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Kind of Yeah, I mean I felt bad for Lisa.
I really did, just in the sense that everybody was
picking her and it was like, I don't know, it's
kind of like just feeling an odd man out.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
It felt like enough was enough.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
I did, like when Alexia is like I'm voting for myself.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Yeah, but like her dad had just passed away too.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
At this point, her dad had just passed away, and
they're just going at it with these flags. You can
tell she's starting to come on glued. And it just
felt like an overdue for me, not even by just
one person, by all of the people I know.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
And then there's Stephanie. The only thing going through in
my head right now is how to make more money.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Yeah, I'm telling you, I'm going to be right on
this one.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
You are. I like Stephanie.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
I like her too, but I think we're missing a
big old secret.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
Is coming on a little thick.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
So I don't know. We'll see.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Like you said, time will tell you. You predict that
she's gonna get on your nerves.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Yeah, Well, do.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
You remember doctor Nicole's initial mirror message to Larsa.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
On the wall. What was it?
Speaker 1 (05:29):
I forgot, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
I feel like Larsa walks so this narcissist Tiktoker's mirrors
could run like I think it was like mirror. I
forget exactly what it was. But I wonder if this
would have even happened if she didn't do that.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Oh mirror, mirror on the wall. Who's the fakest of them.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
All, That's what it was.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
But then they all start to like check on her.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Lisa goes into the bathroom and cries Adrian to sees
how she is. She says, she hates these people. They
they don't even have fun hanging out together. Then Gertie
grabs Larsa and has her and Lisa do a talk.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
This I found annoying too.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
I mean, okay, Gerty, she thinks she's Andy Cohen. She
sits there on that chair and tries to moderate the
conversation and both of them are like, just go away,
he stop, go, just go, and she was insisting it
was it was too much.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
And then self like giving herself taps afterwards like yeah,
nailed that, nailed that conversation.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Yep, you got you guys out Like this is I
don't know. It all felt very, very weird to me.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Then we get to Julia meeting with a social worker
to discuss how it's going with the two boys. Stephanie
and her husband go to dinner with her family. I
really liked her family.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
I did too.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
We got to see the pictures of the boys. I'm
assuming at the beginning of the show they weren't fully adopted,
so they couldn't show the pictures of them or show them,
show the kids. And then as the season progressed, they
finally got to, you know, sign off and see pictures.
I'm wondering if later on we'll be able to see
the boys. But they look adorable.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
They look so adorable.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Stephanie shares that her dad was shocked when he first
met her husband because her dad is too I think
it was one year younger. Yeah, one year younger than him.
And she says she wants to mend her relationships with
her sisters.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
I'm not quite clear about the sister situation. So they
they came to work for Stephanie, is that what it was?
And then it was the falling.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
Out they came to work for her.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
She gave one Arrange Rover or Land Rover, I forget
what she said, and one a mini Cooper.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Could you imagine being young Cooper? One?
Speaker 1 (07:48):
No, wh Why did somebody get the short end of
the stick?
Speaker 3 (07:51):
I don't literally the shortest?
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Is that?
Speaker 1 (07:53):
What is that the one that got pissed off?
Speaker 2 (07:55):
They both got pissed off because I guess something along
the line lines of like their relationship change once they
were working for her, which no shock there.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
It's not easy to work with family, that's for sure.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
No, But I feel like Stephanie, I'm not right about
all the things. But I think that maybe not talking
about your sisters repeatedly on camera.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
That's not going to help. I'm telling you right now,
all this talking and ain't going to help their relationship.
And I'm going to tell you right now, if we
don't get to see these sisters and all we do
is hear about them, I'm going to be so annoyed
because this has happened on so many different the sisters. Right,
don't you hate that when you hear about these sisters
and you hear about them and then we never see them.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
We never see them.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
But I feel like these sisters are going to come
into play.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Can you remind me of something?
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Why does Stephanie and why did Stephanie and Nicole have
an issue?
Speaker 1 (08:52):
I don't know that they had an issue. I just
think that Stephanie was somebody else. No, Stephanie used to
date Nicole's husband or I don't even think you're mad
her baby daddy.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
Okay, so that it was like years ago. I mean
it's over what like fifteen years ago something like that.
Seems like that's enough time.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
But don't you think like Stephanie's husband, Yes, he's older,
but he's like a very good looking guy. He looks young.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
He seems charismatic. I know, I mean, I don't know
that I'd kick him off.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
No, And she is kind of an old soul.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Yeah she's I mean, she's seemed. They seem like a
good couple.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Yeah, they have a good banter back and forth. Like,
don't get me wrong, I like her. I just don't
like all the money talk.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Yeah, I know some people. Yeah, I know. I started
to think, like, okay, pull it back. We don't need
to hear about.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
That, and like, you know, I'm sorry, but I don't.
I really if I have never have to hear about
another Burke. And again it's too late.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
I know. Am I the only person in the world
that doesn't want one?
Speaker 2 (09:55):
I used to have one, but I don't anymore. And
I don't want to talk about him, and I don't
I know that I can't get wet and I'm sick
of hearing about it on every franchise. Then Gerty and
(10:17):
Russell go to therapy. She gets emotional about the relationship
through her cancer. Gerty doesn't want Russell to feel like
her caretaker anymore. This, I could imagine would be hard.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
It would is she all done with treatment?
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Now she's done with treatment, she is cancer free, okay, but.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Now she's just dealing with the aftermath of having to
go through it, having her family go through it and
all that.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
And she yeah, and then she's had a couple of
surgeries because she wasn't feeling like herself, which I can
completely understand, like when I stand up and look at
myself and I'm like, oh my, who am I anymore?
Speaker 1 (10:56):
But I thought it was like he said, he goes,
I would really like for her to go to therapy
by herself. I don't. To me, it seems like he's
not concerned about it. He's not concerned about the surgery
she's had, or how she looks, or her own insecurity
or having to take care of her. It really does
feel like it's mostly internal with her.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
Yeah, well, I think then she pointed out her reasoning why.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
I mean, she said that because when she was younger,
she had there were seven kids, and only her and
her brother were brought to America alone, and so she
has all of this feeling of being excluded. Gotcha, that's right,
and so she has, you know, And then that kind
(11:41):
of plays out and we think about what happened with
Julia and how she didn't get asked to set at
that table, which, by the way, why did we get
songs yesterday from Captain whatever? Oh?
Speaker 1 (11:52):
I was going to ask you the same thing, Leah, Leah, Oh, yeah, yesterday?
Speaker 3 (11:56):
Did you get some messages from Captain Sandy's why? Leah?
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (12:01):
I know. I didn't get a message. I just she
sent me her song me too.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
She tagged us, But why only us?
Speaker 1 (12:06):
I don't know. Maybe she wanted us to repost.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
Maybe I'm not sure. I was confused.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
I was like, I need more information to know what's happening,
and then it was beautiful song.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
I just I was confused.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
Then, so we get kind of through the Russell and
Gerdi stuff and I start to understand a little bit
more what's going on with Gerdy and why she has
such big reactions.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
Then Lisa and Larsa meet for lunch.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
They talk about how they've been having real issues since
the summer. If you guys tune in tomorrow, we're going
to be having a little recap with Larsa, so we're
going to get her side of things. But Larsa tells
Lisa she was hurt after Milan, and then Larsa's said
that in Milan, Jody and Lisa said Larsa was behind
the paparazzi getting the photos of.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
How many times do you think they are going to
flash up this picture of Marcus doing whatever it is he's.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Doing, well, appears to be a white powder.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
There is to be a white powder. I don't want
to get involved in it, but how many times is
production gonna I'm like, come on, guys, now, once twice?
Speaker 2 (13:13):
So if it's and if it's in paparazzi, then you
can put it on a show as many times as
you want.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
Is that the rule?
Speaker 1 (13:19):
I guess I guess so. But I'm like, we talked
to Larsa about it, How would she know where he
was at?
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Yah, It's not like they were dating then. It's not
like they were walking out somewhere together. Like I get
back in the day when they used to accuse Larsa
of walking out when they were looking at rings or something. Yeah,
and Larsa was in the pictures, but this, how would
she have known what he was doing like a.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Totally different weren't they even on a yacht that they
are on the beach. I think it's far fetched. And
I think that if a paparazzi told Lisa that that
they're full of shit, because paparazzi, I would imagine, don't
give up their source.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
I've never had that either. But then Lisa goes to
the bathroom and calls Alexia and starts crying on the phone.
She gets asked to leave the restaurant because she's being
allowed to go outside.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Now comparisons with Larsa again. But Lisa and Larsu's sitting
there calling each other narcissists. It's like, didn't she call
her a larcissist? I wonder who gave her that line?
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
And then Larsa apologizes for the wrong she has done
and not being the friend she should be when Lisa's
father passed. But even after all of this, Larsus still
apologizes for the wrong she has done and not being
the friend she should be when Lisa's father passed. Now,
what I want to talk to Larsa about tomorrow? How
close that her and Lisa actually were prior to this
(14:47):
falling out because I don't really know that answer because
I didn't watch the original I think.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
That they've been good friends. I don't think that you
have I don't know. I feel like when you have
a close friendship and and then you do have a
falling out, it's so much bigger, Like if you don't care,
you're like I don't care about you, Like I who cares?
Speaker 2 (15:06):
I mean, in the original run, they weren't even on
the same show. They both weren't on the show. Larso
was on season one, and then Lisa was on season
two and say three.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
Yeah, so I wondered if they maintained a friendship off
because wasn't the show off like five or six years?
Speaker 3 (15:20):
Yeah, it was off for a long time.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
Yeah yeah, I think it was off for like twelve
years or eight It was.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Off for years.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Holy moly.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
Yeah, now it came back and it's so good. It
is so good. It's so good.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
But you guys, make sure to tune in tomorrow to
hear Larsa's interview. One other little snippet that I just
read while we were on this podcast, But don't worry,
I was fully focusing. But it's that this has nothing
related to Housewives. What it does have to do with
the valley that Jacksons said he's not returning, so he's fired.
(15:54):
Uh it says he's going to focus on his mental health.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
So it was fired, Okay allegedly, but Tam, hope you
have a good rest of the day and then we'll
talk to you guys tomorrow. M
