Speaker 1 (00:11):
Hi, guys, Welcome to another episode of Diamonds in the
Rough with myself Teddy Mellencamp.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
And I'm Erica Jane. Hi, Teddy Mellencamp.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Hi, So the trailer came out this week.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
What'd you think? Be honest?

Speaker 1 (00:24):
I was pleasantly surprised.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Thank God.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
I know, I was worried.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
I'm not gonna lie. I mean, I was very worried.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
I was a little bit worried too. But it looks good,
it looks juicy, and I love it the end. I
wanted a hot girls summer, but I didn't get one.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
No, Rachel, Yeah, she didn't get her hot girls summer.
Poor a thing. But I think you're.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Gonna like expect. Well, she's looking.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
You know, we all try to be positive about where
we are in life. She's going through a tough time
and you know, I don't want to give it away,
but you know she's having a hard time right now,
and she wanted a hot girls summer. I mean, I
think we all wanted a hot girls summer, me too. Right,
we didn't get it. You didn't get it. I didn't
get it. She didn't get it. So it's okay.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
But I thought you were great. I could tell that
you kind of narrated what's going on, which I always appreciate,
which we always need on every cast.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
You know what, I was confused a lot of times
this season. I was like, wait a second, what is
going on?

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Can we talk about the new girl a little bit?
Because Okay, not only is she in a bath with money, yeah,
but she's already in the comments. I don't remember if
it was Real Housewives of Beverly Hills or who it was.
One of the content creators posted a picture of her,
and unprompted, she wrote, I've had millions of I've been

(01:51):
a millionaire for years, something along those lines, And I'm like,
who writes that? And why?

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Well, you gotta have a chance to get to know
her and see what you're true feeling about.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Do you think I'm gonna like her?

Speaker 2 (02:08):
No? I mean I don't think that. Are there moments
where she's charming and sweet, yes, but I don't know
what her over I only know when and everybody knows this.
You only know what you shoot, right, So you know, like,
I don't know what her home scenes look like. Maybe
she wins there, maybe she doesn't. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Well, I do know that she lives in Kyle's old house.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
She does live in Kyle's old house.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
And we go there, you do, and it doesn't have
the black and white floors anymore.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Right, she changed, she changed the floor. She got a
lot of heat for tearing up Kyle's old floors, which
I mean, look, it's her house, it's her right to teach.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
She's a millionaire. She can do whatever she wants.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
I did not say that, like I you know, you
said that.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
So she said that.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
She did tell me that she's the breadwinner in the marriage.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Well, good for her. Yeah, I didn't see a lot
of a couple of people who. I didn't see a
lot of bows.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Okay, but she opens the whole thing, opening the whole Okay,
all right.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
I don't see her activated at all.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Well, this is the trailer. It's not the mid season trailer. True,
So this is the opening, so keep that in mind.
We don't throw all the cards down right at the opening.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Okay, all right, Well I'm excited. I I mean, I'm
not excited to recap it because you guys know how
that goes for me.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
But you have to it's your job.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Yeah, just as excited as I am to recap this.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
This one, this, yeah, this reunion which is yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
It's okay. Before we get into the reunion, any new
updates with you?

Speaker 2 (03:47):
I mean, I'm good. Are you ready for Bravo Khan?
It's next week?

Speaker 1 (03:51):
I am trying to get myself. I mean, you have
no idea, like, yes, you do? You know that?

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Yes, I do? Yes, you like, but I have no
idea under this dress that you're under.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Yeah. Like when I saw that I'm presenting at like
eight thirty at night, I'm like, I don't remember the
last time I stayed up the wedding.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Oh yeah, the wedding time you stay up to eight thirty.
So you can do it again?

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Yeah, I can do it again.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
I can do it again.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Can I read a teleprompter?

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Okay, well we'll see, Yes, we'll see.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
We'll see which one are you presenting it?

Speaker 1 (04:24):
The Bravos?

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Oh good, so I can cheer you one.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Are you going? Yeah, because you'll be there Friday night? Right, okay? Perfect?

Speaker 2 (04:30):
This Bravo con thing, like I know the like it's
great to be part of a show and part of
a network that everybody loves and then everybody loves the shows.
But just so you know this is a hard gig
to work as three days of like a lot of energy.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
So what are your overall thoughts on part one?

Speaker 2 (05:01):
My overall parts? I can this is true? Why is
tamar on not is? Why is Tamara really upset with Shannon?
That's what it feels like this first episode? What is that?
What am I missing here? What am I because I'm
being very serious? What am I missing here? Because the
last episode I saw, I know that they disagreed, but

(05:22):
it seems like did something happen we didn't catch What
does it have to do with like the but Shannon
wasn't on the couch conversation? No, So what is this?

Speaker 1 (05:35):
I think she my guess, and I haven't talked to her
about it. And I know that you guys are gonna
be like I am a talk to about asked Erica.
I don't talk to anybody.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
About anything right now? So is it is Tamara mad
at Shannon because she was on the couch the couch scene, well,
she didn't know that yet, but they saw it.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
But they don't see it till the end of the
reunion episode one.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Oh well, then I'm mistaken. So Tamra being on Shannon's
ass is because why, I mean, it did something happen?
That's really what I'm trying to get at. Like what
am I as a viewer missing here?

Speaker 1 (06:11):
I think that it was she didn't want to be interrupted.
She wanted to like Shannon was chiming in every time.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
I was trying to speak, and.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
She just got over it. But it started to evolve,
evolve and continue on and continue on and continue on. Yes,
but I think she's probably.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Know what I feel when I watched Tamara in this
first episode. I think she feels overwhelmed and she's reacting
a lot to what people are saying, like I feel
like she feels. To me, it looks like she's overwhelmed
and very reactive to anything anyone says.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Well, I think Okay, So my overall thoughts on part
one was Tamra is a ninety five percent.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Of the cunies. Hold on, I just dropped my sheet
my thoughts back together, hold on, get my.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Okay, Katie does absolutely nothing.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Well, yes, I didn't get any answers, but I guess
Matt comes out to clarify.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
It the next time, and that's where we'll get that.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
That's where we'll get the answers.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
I thought Gina was very likable.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
And I liked her dress. I thought she looked very.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Good, stunning, even though she said how uncomfortable she was.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
You're always uncomfortable. That's part of the gig.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
If you are comfortable sitting on that sofa, you're doing
it all wrong. Nobody should be comfortable on that day,
or in any kind of dress on a sofa for
ten hours.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
And Gretchen could send me right over the edge.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
It was giving toddlers and tiaras.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
But even the way she talks, and it's like, I
don't know if is it condescending or is it playing?

Speaker 2 (08:04):
You don't like I think promise going to speak for you. Yeah,
you dislike anything that is not direct. Yeah, And you
feel if I were to speak for you that there's
a whole lot of like, just say what you need
to say, clearly.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
And succinctly and let's get through let's move through it.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Yeah, And I think that you don't like that.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
And I know she feels dodgy to me, yep like
to me, and I know like I would rather somebody
be overly reactive and then dodgy and passive aggress I
got you. Yeah. Well, it starts off where Tamer talks

(08:50):
about what happened this season when she quit.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Listen, let me tell you something. Every housewife on every franchise,
at every moment has said I've fucked this shit. I've
had it. Yeah, and certainly Tamara has been on long
enough to say fuck this shit, I've really had it.
We've all had those moments.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Andy admits that he did not think Tamara was calmer
this season after her therapy.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
I don't either. I agree with Andy. It's especially in
this moment. Yeah, and especial in this particular moment.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Shannon feels like she did not get the grace that
Tamar got when she was going through the hardest time
in her life. And then Shannon calls Tamra. Tamara grudge.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Shannon hit a house and committed a crime. Tamra's just
having a breakdown.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Yeah, those are two.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
So here's the thing. I think that's where we're getting at,
is like every I don't know, I can't speak for
these women, but like, Shannon hit a house, could have
put other people in danger, blah blah blah. Tamar's just
blowing up.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Tamera, Yeah, she's at her wits end.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Right, that's you know, not it's not affecting anyone else.
I mean, you know what I mean, Yeah, it's but
Camra grudge.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
I can't believe in fifteen seasons no one thought of
that before.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
I was a little shocked at that too, and then
everybody was like, oh.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
My god, I said, And I was like, how you
never thought of that before? Like that's an easy one.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
It is easy. It's not that creative, it's not that granted.
Judge grudge very much.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Guess what all those things rhyme they do? Then Andy
asked Heather why she said Tamor's name when asked who
she wouldn't share sensitive information with at her sleepover party.
Heather explains that it was because of Tamor's inconsistent and
unpredictable nature.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
So why And I liked the way Tamar reacted to
Heather here. I did too, And I'm curious Tamra must
value Heather's observation or her friendship or something like. I
think I don't think she feels as judged by Heather
as everyone else, because I.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Think Heather understands what Tamar's actually having to do.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Yes, she's yes, you're right.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
I think she knows that.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Like she knows what's really going on here.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Yeah, And I think that Heather had a conversation with
her earlier in the season and they talked about it,
and I think Tamra did take that in.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Yeah, it's nice to see Tamra react to Heather like
that because that's the Tamra that you know, that's.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
That's the Tamra that is one of my besties, right.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
And that moment there and unfortunately when she's reactive, we
don't get to see that. Yeah, but that's a nice
moment for her because the other moments were very reactive,
allowed and just like, yeah, a lot.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
It was a lot. Then Tamar and Shannon discussed what
happened with tama comments about Shannon's dad.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
I told you, yep, I can say it that you can't, yep.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
But yeah, because she's pissed, she made the comments under
her breath, saying that Shannon didn't care about her dad,
only herself. But then they gave us a little flashback, Yep,
they did of Shannon saying it not it she said
someone in my family.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
She did say someone in my family, And I mean,
did Tamra know that it was her dad? Or would.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
I'm assuming they probably talked about it.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Yes. Shannon gets emotional and says her dad told her
two weeks ago that she is the only reason he
is still living and he is an older man, and
I'm sure that that's hard.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
I think this is the problem. I know Tamor's trying
to make a point that Shannon already brought up her
own family's drinking on camera, But this is an issue
she's not going to win.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
I agree with you.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Yeah, like she's not going to win it.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
Well, you said it, so therefore I can say it
not really. Yeah, it doesn't work. No, And we said
that before, Like I can say it all I want,
but you can't say it.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Yeah. Then Andy brings up the conversation with Katie and
the bloggers this season. Katie says she is shocked and
pleasantly surprised by all the love she got online after
the lie detector test episode.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Well, you know you have experienced in a lie detector.
I mean I did, like on the show. What maybe
this is because I'm on I'm on the inside. Yeah,
I'm shocked that Katie got the online love.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
I think she got the online love because it felt
like everybody was turning against her.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
But maybe she gave them all a reason to do so,
you know, when you're on a show like this, if
it like, let's assume okay, so let's sake, let's assume
that she was talking to bloggers. Yeah, I wouldn't like that.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
I wouldn't like that either. But they all are.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
Apparently they all are. I mean because we just up
on her when you're all doing it kind of thing.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Yeah, like if you're all doing it.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
Like why pick on her? Was she doing it the
most or is it because she's new? Or is it
because she was giving better information? Like? Why? Why would
it be? If everybody does it? And I'm saying right now,
it's wrong because.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
I mean I even saw that. I don't know exactly
what this is, but there's all these dms that people
are forwarding on to me between Emily and a Bravo
content creator, right, sharing information back and forth.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Right, So it's just.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Like, Okay, everybody's doing it.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
Yeah, it's hard when you're making these shows and you're
telling people things.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
Yeah, I think it ends up.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
And then you get into a thing where you're like
people come in your comments and they say, hey, I
love and support and you're like, thanks because you don't
want to not answer because in you're accused being rude.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
But I don't think Emily was setting her up by
having the light detector tests. I think basically, I think Emily.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
The show likes to do light detector tests, and as
the audience, the viewing audience, we all know that.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
Yeah, so let's like the production tell me I'm hosting
a light detector and that's what.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
I did, and I'm only And I love the way
that they said, why is it only this guy? And
the answer was because he's one of the few people
that will appear on camera. So I mean, I love
the way they cleaned that up. I don't think I
didn't catch that.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
But Emily being like, there's an eighty six percent chance of.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
And it's not admissible in court, she had her stats.
She liked Emily's hair.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Oh, I did like Emily's hair.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
That yeah, Emily's pretty girl.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
Yeah, she's she's pretty girl.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
She's pretty girl.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Then Gina apologizes to Katie for the Asian designer comment
that came off to Katie as a racist comment. Katie
appreciates Gina's apology, and then Gina wishes she came to
her instead of.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
Unique.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Ye. I feel like Katie made a choice to not
bring it up on camera. Gina, Kiki is the one
who chose to use the information to make Katie look bad.
Just think about it. Katie didn't bring it up.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
You can go both ways?

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Should bring it up? How can I go both ways?

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Well, kim up. Why would Kiki Monique go and do this?
And who reached out to Kiki Monique?

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Well, she ended up meeting. She ended up meeting with
Gina And was it Gretchen? Yeah, Gina and Gretchen. Okay,
So to bring us back, Gretchen asked kik Monique to
come on the show, and then she needed somebody else
to be what witness?

Speaker 2 (16:43):
Yeah, I mean I get it. I would too if
I were Gretchen.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
I don't think Gina's intention No, I don't think she
had bad intentions. I don't think she had bad intentions.
But also, Katie, speak up. This is where you start talking.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
What would you have liked to have seen from Katie here?

Speaker 1 (17:02):
It really hurt my feelings. What is your problem with
me not wearing an Asian designer like she could have?

Speaker 2 (17:15):
She underperformed for you.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
She underperformed for me, especially with who came and sat
down in that chair and I interviewed.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
With Oh, that's right, you had her on this show.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
Yeah, and she had a big energy and she was funny.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
But didn't they bring that up that she has more
energy to bloggers she was more interested in No, no,
I'm not you, No, no, no, not at all. I
was just thinking, like someone said, she had more energy
with others off the show than she does with the cast.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Yeah, and.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
That's interesting that you would say that too.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Yeah, so that's what it was. Yeah, yeah, I mean
because she had a lot of she was funny, she
made me laugh, she was charming, she'd all the different things.
And then I see her sitting here barely, barely speaking
and barely standing up for herself. I mean, you had

(18:16):
eight months to prepare for this.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Yeah, I mean, reunions are tough. Maybe she got intimidated.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
By what Gretcher's dress.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
No, I think you know, well, you have a lot
to answer for. An entire cast does not want to
shoot with you, and they stopped you shooting with them
in the middle of the season.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
That's true, you.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Know, So there's if I was Katie, I would feel
a certain way walking into that room knowing that people
did not trust me, knowing that I was stopped from
participating in this show midway. But my ass would have
been fighting and cousin. And she sat there.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
She sat there. And this is also where I wish
some of the women would have said to her what
we heard you know in the press, which is that
she participates more with online people than she.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Does the cast.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
The cast. Like if somebody would have said that to
her face, I'm curious what.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
Her response would have been. Maybe they do we are
just the first episode. She doesn't go away right like
she's does. She sit there the whole time, So maybe
we're not there yet because her husband does come on
the next time. So maybe And I'm I am, I
am interested in seeing this now I'm interested. I notice
I didn't want to see him the entire season, but

(19:37):
now I want to see what he has to say
about how many times people called where was Slade? Well,
I'm glad he's not there. He's going to show up.
No he's not, thank god, because they would have.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
Shown him when they showed Matt not necessarily, I think so,
I think like that's very telling if Slade's not there,
Slade does anything to get on camera.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
Yeah, but I think that there's also been heat of
why does Slade show up and have to explain Gretchen's
side of the story? Why does he constantly have to
get involved? And maybe they took that as like a hey,
you should sit this one out.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
Yeah. I think that's the point.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
You should sit this one out because everybody's tired of.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
You, Everyone is tired of him.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Then Emily opens up about everything going on with her son.
Emily explains that after the show aired, many moms reached
out to her to see if Luke possibly had pandas,
the bacteria from strep throat that affects the brain and
leaves to our brains. We have a friend.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
Whose daughter has pandas. Yes, I didn't know about it
until our friend, and it's apparently it's really bad.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
Yeah, it can affect so many.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
Maybe that's what I mean. I had a lot of
strip as a kid, did.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
You I had? No, not really.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
I had a lot of strap.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
I had a lot of ear.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Like ear infections and strap infections.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
I had a lot of air infections.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Do you know what I had when I came home
from Berlin?

Speaker 1 (20:59):
When I you did.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
It was gnarly. That was horrible.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
I feel like we all got sick there.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
Mm hmmmm. So Luke's going to be getting laser treatments
done on his brain. I didn't know that was a thing.
I didn't know, not that I should, but it sounds intense.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
It sounds intense, especially because it's the repetition of it.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
Yeah, how many treatments?

Speaker 1 (21:26):
How many treatments in a row? But I do like
when she opens up and she talks about how Shane.
You know, she gives Shane a hard time sometimes on
the show because he's not as warm and fuzzy, but
that's actually what she needs.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
That is what she needs. But also that's how men
listen men. And then she said she didn't get that
from him, so she gets it from her girlfriends.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
And then she names everybody except for she didn't name Tam.
She didn't name clearly, she didn't name Kakatie.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
Well, yeah that we knew.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Thankfully she didn't name Gretchen, and I would have been
like what.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
So Tamar saw her daughter Sidney recently, and Tama gets
emotional about talking about her conversations with her daughter, explaining
how special of a moment, it was okay, so I
they're estranged, right, yes, for for how long? A couple
of years, a couple of years. So maybe Sydney's coming around.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Maybe Sidney's coming around. I think having those moments, I
think because Tamara had a pretty dramatic divorce from her
ex husband, and I think from what I've heard, there
was a little bit of allegedly parental alienation.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Oh I see from one side, I think that, Look,
divorce sucks, and there's always yeah, everybody's at their absolute worst.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
But I do know that it's something that really aches
at Tama's heart every single day.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
Of course it does any mom that's not talking to
their kids. Yeah, and this happens to all of us,
by the way. You know, when your kids grow up,
you assume that somehow or know that they're going to
magically always be like they were when they look, they don't.
They have their own thoughts, their own brains, And sometimes
I myself am like, are you sure you're mine? Are

(23:29):
you sure?

Speaker 1 (23:30):
Like?

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Are you how can you be thinking?

Speaker 1 (23:32):
So You're like, how how are we so?

Speaker 2 (23:35):
How are we so different in this moment right now?

Speaker 1 (23:39):
But then Gretchen is back on the reunion couch and
explains how Slade contributes to her household. He is a
consultant and she is an influencer.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
But he is on the Liberachi Foundation. Now, honey, I
told you. When I'm telling you, I gasp. First off,
I love Liberal and why because he was bab But why?

Speaker 1 (24:05):
I said? Why?

Speaker 2 (24:07):
What is the Liberaci Foundation doing? And why is Slade
on it?

Speaker 1 (24:12):
Because he has a friend who runs it?

Speaker 2 (24:14):
But what does it do?

Speaker 1 (24:16):
And how much time is this requiring?

Speaker 2 (24:18):
Are you getting paid for this? And if so, why, how?
Like what do you do for that? I don't know?

Speaker 1 (24:24):
At Liberally you're consulting the Liberal to do what? I
don't know?

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Like where did the furs go? But what are you directing?
I need clarification the Liberaci thing, even Andy, like I
was like Liberachi herself. Liberaci is fabulous. I want all
of his furs and his rolls Royce and his home
in Palm Springs is amazing. But what is the foundation doing?

Speaker 1 (24:47):
And what is Slade doing? He's listed on the website.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
Okay, maybe he a consultant. What does that mean? Whenever
I hear someone as a consultant, I'm always like, you
get paid to do what give you that's.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
The normally a word before that, like, isn't it normally
Like I'm a business consultant, I'm an entertainment.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
I could consult on a lot of shit.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
I mean, we could be consultant.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
We are consulting right now, I want to know the
exact definition of the word consultant. To seek advice or
information from someone. A can function is both a verb
and a noun, meaning it depends on context. Okay, great
like life, to discuss or deliberate together. To refer to

(25:30):
a source of information as a noun, refers to a
consultation or a session of advice. The lawyer offers a
free initial consult.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
Right, but see how it says the lawyer.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
Right, that's your point. Yeah, there's something like a legal consultant,
or a crisis consultant or a housewives consultant, which is
what we are.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
We've given ourselves the consultants union consultant.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
We're reunion consulting.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
Don't you want to consult with us?

Speaker 2 (26:04):
I would? I would too, I would if I were new,
I would seek out my advice. Yep, instead of trying
to shit talk me. It's not going to work.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
I can tell you it didn't work. But then they
get back to the bringing up the financial situation and
Gretchen had said in the past that she could not
marry Slade because of financial reasons.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
That's great, I'm glad you didn't. Yeah, But then Gretchen
explains that if they had a ceremony to get married
with a pastor. Oh but it isn't a legal documented marriage.
But what is common law? So how long have you
been cohabitating? Because there is such thing as common law
and women. Oh yeah, so the common law is like
ten years are so he could still get your cash?

Speaker 1 (26:53):
That's true. I think he's probably his debt. Could she
get his debt?

Speaker 2 (26:59):
I don't really know how that worked. We need a
legal consultant.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
Well, we need to understand this because can somebody please
explain to me how Taram or talking about Slade on
the show has affected his life more than being arrested.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
Look, bottom line is when you put yourself on these shows,
you're going to get the good and the bad. Yeah,
and if you've been arrested, people are going to talk
about it.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
Yeah, speaking of talking show.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
Sorry, why I was in the restroom. I got a
little bee in my bonnet. Oh okay, what little reminder
of something? What how is Jen first seat when we
haven't mentioned her one time so far?

Speaker 2 (27:50):
This? You know what? Come to think of it, all
I saw was I liked her lip color. Oh I
did to I liked her lip color. But you're right,
why is she sitting there when we haven't really opened up.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
Not one thing. The only thing that we got from
her is once again Katie tries to look to her
for help and she was not giving it, and she
would refuse to give it.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
She was not giving it.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
And then someone even kind of steps in and is like, well,
you actually said this, and she was like, oh okay,
well anyways.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
Yeah, no, yeah, no, you're right. Jen has not well again,
it's the first episode we'll see, but you still normally.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
See something of each person.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
We do not do the seating charts. Okay, well we should.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
We should. You should.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
I don't know what stops going on, but you should
do the seating charts.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
Could you imagine? Hey Andy, it's Teddy. I just wanted
to shoot you a text to let you know that
I'm unhappy with this seating chart s.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
I have a long list of concerns and I'll tell
you exactly where I need to sit this year. No, okay.
Andy brings up the rumor that Gretchen brought back to
the surface and how the undisclosed person in the affaired
rumor okay, denied the allegation and insisted that this was
a fabrication. Hood for you, whoever you are on the

(29:18):
anonymous affair person, Good for you for sticking up for yourself.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Yeah. Heather explains that this is not the premeditated thing,
and Tamra interprets Heather to call bullshit. Shannon tries to
add something to the conversation and Tamra shuts her down
from talking. This is what this is the part, tam
I love you. I love you to death. Obviously you're

(29:42):
one of my closest friends. But I don't I really
You're right, I don't really understand the Shannon.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
Shutdown shutdown and the constant Shannon like getting at Shannon
when Shannon.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
But I guess Shannon was trying to way in on everything.
She was saying yes and were the other women.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
I mean, everybody's chatty at a reunion, but for some reason,
Tamara is irritated with Shannon more than everybody else. At
least it seems that way to me. Whatever, That's why
I'm asking, is there something I'm missing? Did something happen?

Speaker 1 (30:21):
All I know is that Tama posted a picture in
her reunion dress. I think she's with Andy, and she says,
who can hold a grudge when you've got to carry
the whole show or something like that.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
I was like, well, well.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
She isn't wrong.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
Andy asked Tamara if she brings up old dirt on people.
First off, yes, and so does everybody else, And Jady.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
Don't act like you don't know this answer.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
Well, that's the whole point is to get her to
say no, I don't, so you can go yes, you do.
You're proving my point. Come on, like this is classic.
Don't bait her then you know you know yes, not
only does she do it, but everybody is it? You
all do it, I do it, will do it, I'll
do it.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
Bring up old dirt. She proceeds to bring up old
situations like the night Shannon recorded Victory see.

Speaker 2 (31:09):
Here's my plate. Then that's when Andy goes, see, you're
doing what exactly what I asked?

Speaker 1 (31:13):
You know I'm not.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
Andy laughs that tam reproved his point, and Shannon tries
to add something in tamor as a shut up. I
think she's just really had it with Shannon. But there's
some some reason, there are some ask her why. I know,
I need to know why, because I wonder if this
gets into like the second episode where they just keep
going back and forth.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
Do I wish I was allowed, we were allowed to
call Tam and just ask her, just do it anyway. Hello, Hey,
you're on the Podhi, Hi, Hi, and you're hey Dana Erica.
We have one question. Yes, is there something that we
missed on why you were annoyed at Shannon.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
So much in the first episode. Yes, because she wouldn't
let me talk.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
Every time I tried to talk, she would like, you
say something.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
I'm like, just let me talk, okay. So there wasn't
anything other than that.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
Oh, nothing more than she treated me like shell season no, but.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
No, okay, yes, I I okay, I got that part.
But there wasn't like something that I missed because I
couldn't understand okay, all right, okay.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
Every time I was trying to have a conversation with somebody,
she would butt in, So I'm like, stop talking, stop talking,
shut up, okay, and can you give me the direct
quote of what you said on your post post the
post with Andy, the post with Andy, Oh, the post.
Oh yes, let me look real quick. I can't remember

(32:42):
anything said.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
Why Carrie a grudge when you can carry the show.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
Tagline for next year?

Speaker 2 (32:53):
That's actually a great one, all right, that's it. I
had a question. I couldn't figure out why she was
irritating you so much, and I wanted to know if
there was something that I missed. My god, okay, by Tim,
love you bye. That's hilarious. It's just her, she's they've

(33:16):
had it with each other, and this is what happens, like,
this is what happens when you've been cast member for
you know, you've been in this this thing for so long.
Get on each other's nerves. Yeah, well, listen, Gretchen brings
up lies Tamor has said about her, and Gretchen and
Tamra call each other liars and pieces of shit.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
This isn't me defending Tamra, but they seem to twist
everything back on her, like instead of pressing Gretchen about
the affair and how she made a question about her
own singing and to a convo about tarmor singing, calling
slate on camera to get them to dig into it.
We're talking about how bad Tamra has been.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
Well, I think, but that's that's what you're doing, you know,
Gretchen's Gretchen's point is to say, well, look at how
bad things that Tamra's done, and then Tarma's like, well,
actually you So this is a back and forth. I
personally don't think there's any resolution here. No, I don't
think there's any there's no moving forward, there's no resolution.
I do not think these women like each other. I
think that's Shannon and Tamor like each other more than

(34:15):
Tamra and Gretchen.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
I agree. I also think that I haven't noticed Gretchen
connecting with anybody else on the cast closely.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
Well, she was connecting with Katie, you could say. One
could say Gretchen and Slave were using Katie and Matt.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
True and the show started filming.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
Forgive me Jen's right, Ryan, Jen and Ryan. So you
remember we did see Gretchen and Slade being friendly with
Katie and Matt and Jen and.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
Ryan before the show started filming, maybe before she got
the job.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
No, but we saw them on camera together, like talking poorly,
talking about Tamar and everybody was saying, how tamar beat
up on them?

Speaker 1 (34:59):
I think, and we'll talk to any Gretchen.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
And anybody that's anti Tama. Yeah, And I think that
that's what I'm getting at here, is that it's a
two person campaign, meaning Gretchen and Slave to come in
and befriend anybody that is anti Tamra. Yeah, And that's okay,
but it runs its course and it can't just be

(35:23):
a one trick pony the entire time. Like I said
in the beginning, I would have loved had Gretchen come
in and been more friendly to Tamarra, try to put
the pass behind, try legitimately.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
And then get involved in new drama exactly.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
That would have made it more interesting than you and
I sitting here saying, well, I can't believe people remember
fifteen year old beef. And I'm sure the audience is
like feeling the same way. Okay, you have bad blood,
you have a lot of water under the bridge, you
don't like each other, bad things were said on both sides,
but you're here now, so could you find about new shit?

Speaker 1 (35:57):
And we have to say Tamara did try not to
bring up old stuff with Grutchen.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
But I don't think that that was ever. I just
get the sense that Gretchen and Slade came in to
prove a point, and.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
All they proved that it was annoying.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
Yeah. The further you push and the more recruits you get, Yeah,
it just gets It doesn't work like come in with
your best foot forward, don't come in like with a grudge. Yeah,
Gretchen grudge.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
Gretchen grudge.

Speaker 2 (36:31):
Gretcher's grudge. Gretchers, you know you love that news flash
update from Tamera. Shannon's outfit bugged her too. I will
say this, Shannon shoes bugged me.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
They bugged me too. Were they a weird shape and
about like.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
A weird shape? Yeah, it felt like a weird shape.
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
And I feel like Shannon's worn this before button white.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
Oh, I don't know about that.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
Very similar type silhouette.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
I liked Gina's dress. I liked Emily's hair. This is
superficial ship, but we're on a superficial show. Yeah, so
who cares? You know what I don't like. I have
a little bit of beef with Bravo. Why is everybody?
Why is why is the contrast pushed so hard?

Speaker 1 (37:18):
The pink and red.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
Yeah, why are the contrasts pushed so hard?

Speaker 1 (37:22):
And why is it?

Speaker 2 (37:24):
Why are the contrasts pushed.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
So like the things like nude color.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
But I think it's in the processing of the I
think it's like an after it's not in the The
lighting looks like one thing. And then when I look
on my I'm like, wow.

Speaker 1 (37:40):
I gotta say, they didn't get that Beverly Hills filter.
They did not get that Beverly.

Speaker 2 (37:47):
Because we're all bitching over there. Yeah, made me look terrible,
like and rightfully, so they did not get it. It's
something in the contrast or in the lighting. Yeah, it's
something weird.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Because you notice every single little thing.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
Everybody's skin is super textured. Yeah, everybody's hair. Like guys,
just to speak for myself, I'm fifty four. I need help.
I don't need high death, you know what I mean, Like,
I don't need We're trying to sell this fantasy over here,
and you guys are giving us.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
You're showing you know, we still get pimples.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
Yeah, I mean we do, but I don't need to
like give us a little.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
Give us a little gloss, give us some Kardashian filter.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
Well that would just be eyeballs and teeth and they
just blow you right out.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
I'd be like Gretchen on her Instagram.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
Oh I haven't looked? Is it need we need to
look at this together on this Okay?

Speaker 1 (38:47):
No, it's not a gang up because there's only two
of us.

Speaker 2 (38:50):
Okay, duo tag team, it's a duo.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
Hold on, Gretchen, I.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
Am an interested to see said what she blocked you?

Speaker 1 (39:02):
No, she felt it, says. Do you want to follow
her back? Shocking?

Speaker 2 (39:08):
Do it?

Speaker 1 (39:09):
I'm not sure today is the day. Okay, hold on,
I don't I need one where she doesn't. She's calmed
down a bit from when she doesn't show her not.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
By the way, that blowout is still killing it. That
front bank, Yeah, her guy has it laid. I'm telling you,
whoop dang it. I'm so annoyed why she took off
all the hyper filtered ones. Yeah, don't ask me to
do it. That's a charcooterie teddy, I know what are
we looking at her? Does she do a cooking thing?

Speaker 1 (39:38):
No?

Speaker 2 (39:39):
She says she's an influencer. What is she influencing?

Speaker 1 (39:42):
Charcuterie trays?

Speaker 2 (39:44):
Really?

Speaker 1 (39:44):
No? Everything this bag?

Speaker 2 (39:47):
Let me see this, I know, Oh, I see.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
You see what I mean, there's no nostrils.

Speaker 2 (39:54):
Yeah, Like, I'm fine with this is pretty though.

Speaker 1 (39:59):
She she's a pretty girl.

Speaker 2 (40:00):
She is a pretty girl. Humm, okay, well yeah, code
twenty or whatever.

Speaker 1 (40:08):
Yeah, code.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
So what are you most excited to see this next episode?
What do you want to have happened in a perfect world?
What would you like seriously, like a producer, now, in a.

Speaker 1 (40:18):
Perfect world, I would like to see because the way
Tamar just was on the phone right now with us,
it's funny and light, right, Yes, I would like to
see that, tamor.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
Yeah, but you know how that is when you get
in that room and there's all that pressure and things
start coming at you. I do this too, like I'm
actually nice. People don't know this. Huh, people don't know this,
but I mean I get it. You know, it feels
it's a lot. And yes, I would like to see
Grutchen and Grutchen, my god, Tamera lighter and more fun.

(40:55):
I'd like to see all of them more light and fun.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
Yeah, I would like to see all of them more
light and fun. I think that Gina consistently keeps it.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
I told you I liked Gina. I told you I'm
glad she's grown on you.

Speaker 1 (41:06):
She's grown on me this season. Well, I'm sorry. It's
slim pickens around here.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
It is, but at least there's a little hope.

Speaker 1 (41:14):
I'd like to see Katie speak. I don't want Matt
just to come in and steamroll and blast for her. Yeah,
I don't want that, right, and then her to like
put her hand on him and not say a word.

Speaker 2 (41:27):
I don't like it when the men yell at the women.

Speaker 1 (41:29):
I don't know. I just overall want Do.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
You want Shannon and Tamora to make up or do
you care?

Speaker 1 (41:35):
I think ultimately those two will make up. I think
there's a room for reconciliation between the two of them,
where I would not say the same with Gretchen.

Speaker 2 (41:43):
No, I don't think that's happening. What about Emily and
Tamra because they get into it.

Speaker 1 (41:47):
Oh yeah, we didn't even talk about this.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
Yes, what do you think about that?

Speaker 1 (41:51):
Oh? Another thing that I got pissed off about.

Speaker 2 (41:55):
What were they even upset about?

Speaker 1 (41:56):
Okay, so Emily is saying, I'm not even on your
oh yeah feed anymore? Okay, let me explain how this
show works. It's too teas in a pod and then
underneath to teas in a Pod. So we're considered producers.
There's a bunch of other podcasts, this being one of them. Yep,

(42:18):
Emily's being one of them. When the podcasts first start out,
we keep the person on our feed to get them
their sea legs. It's new, it's brand new. And even
though Emily may not be on our feed, which she
still is by the way, I'm confused. Emily seems to be,
you know, the truth teller, and so I'm confused why

(42:40):
Emily would say that she's off our feed when legally
Brunette has been on our feed every other week. Okay,
So yes, she also has now because the show did well,
it was, it's a good show, but it's also has
been on our feed since the beginning, right, Emily and
I did a podcast together prior. Okay, And then now

(43:04):
she's saying, well, I'm not even on your network anymore. Well, one,
your podcast is iHeart. Two, you're still in our feed.

Speaker 2 (43:14):
So she's still under the two teas in a pod.

Speaker 1 (43:17):
Yes, she also has. Yeah, she airs at least two
times a month on our feed. Okay, So I don't
know what was her point in that.

Speaker 2 (43:30):
I don't know, But then Tamor said, you flow up.
I mean, oh my god, We're going to sit here
and just talk about Tamar the entire time, which is fine.
She had a lot to say, but yeah, then what
is there beef? Though?

Speaker 1 (43:46):
I don't get why Emily all of a sudden.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
What's happening here? I don't know, because I thought she
and Tamor were pretty straight. I thought they were pretty
I'm confused about a lot of these twists and turns
on this shoot day. I a lot missing information.

Speaker 1 (44:01):
I think what we're missing is what we found out
at the finale.

Speaker 2 (44:05):
You mean the couch conversation.

Speaker 1 (44:07):
The couch conversation. I think the couch.

Speaker 2 (44:09):
Conversation has twisted everything.

Speaker 1 (44:11):
I twisted everything around and got everybody all pissed at
Tamra when even though.

Speaker 2 (44:16):
I didn't like to see Tamra walk in with Katie,
she's strong enough to walk in on her own. She
doesn't need to walk in with Katy. I would I
would realize, Yeah, I would have liked to have seen
Tamra walk in on her fucking own.

Speaker 1 (44:29):
Yeah I didn't even see I would.

Speaker 2 (44:30):
Have liked that she you don't need to walk in
with Katie and Katie needs to walk in on her own.

Speaker 1 (44:35):
Two Katie needs to walk in first on her.

Speaker 2 (44:37):
Own right and clean up whatever she's got to clean up,
say whatever she's got to say. Tamra's, you know, a
lead on the show for a long time as is
like Shannon Heather. You know, I just I didn't. I
didn't like that pairing. I didn't think it fit.

Speaker 1 (44:53):
I don't think that Katie had some redemption.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
Arc here, not yet, not in this for episode now.
I don't know what's coming in two and three, but
so far no.

Speaker 1 (45:04):
Yeah, no, So I mean, I think here's the thing.

Speaker 2 (45:08):
I thought it was a good episode. It flew by,
It did fly by. It was loud, it was loud.
But I don't know that anything's okay. So we opened up.
Not that anything's supposed to get resolved in the first episode,
but I don't know if anything's gonna get resolved.

Speaker 1 (45:24):
Do you think Andy seemed like happy Andy or he
was like you know sometimes he gets annoyed.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
Well, I think Andy has the patience of job and
with all of us. Can you imagine like that being
Andy Cohen and having to sit there with all of
these reunions, not just housewives, but like all of the
other shows, to fielding all of these questions and calming
all these personalities down. Yes, a thousand people talk. I

(45:52):
love the way Alex basking was. Alex was like, NOI
didn't good for you. Alex noid did not.

Speaker 1 (45:59):
Alex Baskin just talked in and he said he did
not do.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
That, right, Alex Paskin just said he did not do that.
As a matter of fact, he just called me just
say he really did not do that. But No, I
think that Andy does a great job of, you know,
fielding all of these questions. Obviously he's got people in
his ear. Andy's having to control the tempo and the
questions of all these women on these couches. That is
an exhausting thing.

Speaker 1 (46:21):
That is an exhausting thing. Yeah, but I thought it
was a good episode. I hope to see some shifts
and personality m hm for episode two.

Speaker 2 (46:32):
Yeah, I'm excited to see where the Katie thing unfolds.
I do want Jen to speak up. You know, you're
sitting there next to Andy for a reason. What is
that reason? What was that reason? I need I need
to see her speak I need to see let's see

(46:56):
what what else do I think is going to happen.
I'm not quite sure, but I I need to hear
your voice.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
I think they're expecting a lot out of Matt and Katie.

Speaker 2 (47:05):
I can tell I'm not going to get it. I
think you're going to get it out of him. Yeah,
I don't think you're going to get it out of her.
I think he's ready to go.

Speaker 1 (47:14):
He's he's looking for his orange.

Speaker 2 (47:18):
Well, they always do these oranges.

Speaker 1 (47:22):
These oranges. Well, thanks you guys for tuning in to
another episode of Diamonds in the Rough with myself, Teddy Mellencamp.

Speaker 2 (47:28):
I'm Erica Jane, and I am confused about this episode.
I mean, I like it, but I don't know. I mean,
we're just gonna, guys, we're just gonna have to see
what happens in episode two.

Speaker 1 (47:37):
Yeah, we're gonna have to dig into some more things
and get some more information.

Speaker 2 (47:40):
If you have any reasons as to why you I
can't believe, I'm gonna put this out there. If you
have any comments as to why you think these things
are happening. Is it the couch scene? You know what
I'm calling the couch scene? Is it other stuff? Give
us your conspiracy theories, in the comments I'm curious.

Speaker 1 (47:57):
Yeah, we need to know.

Speaker 2 (47:58):
We need to know. Thank you two.
