Speaker 1 (00:01):
All right, welcome in all you Faithfuls and Traders out
there for another episode of By Order of the Faithfuls.
I'm Wells Adams, and I'm alongside Damnor Judge.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Today we are missing to Laura's wing. She's trembling. Where
are you at, Wells?

Speaker 1 (00:15):
I'm in New York right now. I spent the holiday
here because my wife's doing this Broadway show, and then
I worked the parade, which was very fun.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
What'd you do last night?

Speaker 1 (00:27):
I went out for some of my good buddy's birthday.
She's given me. She's given me crap because I've got whiskey.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
And yeah, you got a little hair of the dog.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
You know, this is one thing that I needed when
I was on Traders, which they wouldn't give us. They
did not let us drink.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
By the way, don't you think it'd be a better
show if they let us drink?

Speaker 1 (00:45):
One hundred? You give me, you give me two cocktails,
and you put me in that interviewing room.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
So entertaining when I'm drunk. Yes, yes, I understand, like
the missions, you can't do that. But as soon as
the mission are done, start pumping people with alcohol.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Yes, what are we doing here? We're making a reality
TV show. Let's make a let's make a good one.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
You know this is sad to say, but I find
it hard to even make good reality TV when I'm
not drunk. Are you giving an alcoholic three months out
of the year.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
My entire job on reality TV is getting people drunk
on reality TV, Miss you mean too. Everyone needs a bartender, they.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Do, and I think that they need And I think
that Durinda is going to agree with us on that.
We'll have to ask her when we bring her in.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yes. Speaking of our guest today is Durinda Medley, a
TV personality best known for appearance on the Bravos series
The Real Housewives of New York City. In twenty fifteen,
she joined the cast and remained until season twelve and
twenty twenty. She went on a star in season two
and four of The Real Housewives, The Ultimate Girls Trip,
and appeared on season three of The Traders, although she

(01:57):
was the first one to be a limit needed but
fear not everyone out there. It's been revealed that Derinda
will be making her second appearance in Traders season four,
airing in January. I imagine she'll do better than she
did on season three.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yes, because they're not going to get rid of somebody
the first time again.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yeah. Also stupid on productions part. You cannot get rid
of the biggest TV star on your TV show. That's smart,
not smart. We need Booze and we need not to
get rid of Derendom Edley. Those are the two things
we need.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Ycock yep, I agree with.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
That all right, without further ado, Welcome onto by order
of the faithfuls Drenda Medley.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Oh my god, welcome, Welcome. We were just talking about
drinking on Traders. That the big mistake. I feel like
they need to give us alcohol. I understand when the
mission's going on, too dangerous to get alcohol, but as
soon as that mission's over, start giving us alcohol. We
did not go there to go to rehab.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Not only that, I think it would it would take
away a lot of the it would lower the fear
and inhibitions, like can you imagine what people would really
say with a couple.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Of ladies exactly exactly. I was just telling, well, it's
like it's hard for me nowadays to even film with
that without having some liquid curve.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Well, I get it.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Yeah, I was having withdraws there. I was like, guys,
you got to let me drink or I'm going to
absolutely have a stroke out here. That's when I realized
I might have a problem.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
We guess here. No, it's that because there's so little outside,
like anything to relax your nurves. So like after a
fourteen hour day, you just want to sit down. And
even if they limited it to two or three nothing
like maybe one before the round table.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yeah, maybe two after I say, three before the table.
That to me was the most stressful part is that
round table.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
I never made it to a round table.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
The first round. Okay, well we know you. You're coming
back though, So did I.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Make it to a round table? I can't remember. No,
I just made it to where they get where they
got to pick.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Yeah, Derenda, did you do better than you did on
season three? In season four?

Speaker 3 (04:12):
I can't answer that. I've already been called ninety two times,
you know. Yeah, of course I get you by the
by the traders people, No, by by the worlds that be. No,
they they really are like, yeah, no, I'm not going
to do any of that. I'm not going to for
once in my life, I'm gonna try.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Not keep my mouth shut. Yeah, they try not to
fuck up. They're very strict too, Like I remember after
I got murdered, they literally put me in a car
where somebody ran to my car with a piece of
paper saying sign here right now. That meaning you can't
say a word.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
Not only that. Then you go home and you realize,
especially because I got murdered so easily, people thought I
was waiting, so I had to like, you can't go
to a restaurant, yeah, because if they see you, then
they put two and two together. So I went to
the Berkshires, didn't go on Instagram. You're in isolation.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
And it's hard because I had the podcast and I thought, oh,
I can go home and start doing the podcast. No,
I couldn't even tell anybody I was home.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
I couldn't do the radio show. Yeah. No, dam I
heard that you were sick as well. You know, I'm
just kidding done with being sick from Bravo KHN Jeddie.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Eddie had to go to urgent care on Thanksgiving Day
morning because he has bronch ititis from Bravo con.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
I went to Solas. I did the Macy's Day Parade
on Friday with Macy's and I came back and I
was so cold. I would sleep for two hours. I
woke up. I thought I couldn't breathe. I ended up
at SOLAS. I was like, no, I'm I think I
have COVID. I have something like. I was almost hoping
it was COVID. Otherwise I was like, I'm dying here
because I wasn't. I wasn't progressed. Usually with these things,

(05:50):
you progressively get better, and I wasn't.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
I wouldn't tell anyways. And he's like, it's almost over,
it's gonna be gone. It's begin I'm like, we're going
on to.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Seroid And it did that.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Yeah, they put him on one of those Z packs
or something like that.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Yeah, because it's the bat and I don't like to
do that. But I'm like, I'm going to run down.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Yeah, COVID.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
I gotta do something about that. That's that's.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
It's going. It's going around for sure. In season three, Drenda,
you were a faithful So what was it like being
a trader In season four?

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Oh my god, this is not gonna be a good podcast.
I literally when I saw this on my schedule to change,
I'm like what I almost called Courtney and said, because
you know they kebash this, but I'm like, no, Tambo
wouldn't do that.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
No, we're not doing that. We have the Tipsy Wells
over there. He's drinking whiskey right now because he's hungover
from last night.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Yeah, it's okay, But so can you say what season?
Did you have more fun on? Season three or season four?

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Again, can't answer that because I didn't have any I
wasn't there. Well, the best part of season three was
really the most thing that really because I would have
left completely devastated and broken heart and feeling very lonely.
But when you walked into that room and you sat
down and you were like and I would have never
guessed you were the second and it almost made me

(07:28):
feel better. Like I was like, I was like, oh
wait a second, because you really feel so isolated. You
think that you're just the big old loser. You don't
realize that other people that are good people are going
to be killed off as well. That's the thing. It's
such a it's such a mind game, right. Oh yeah,
But then I went back I did. I will say this.

(07:49):
I went back to season four just not taking it
so personally, and I really had to in my mind,
like not think like you there's nothing like Housewives.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
And did you have any hesitation going back or did
you like immediately go yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
Let's do this immediately. Because I felt so jipped and
so so like I never got to even have the
experience I was. I was almost more when I when
we were at the also too. I just hated that feeling.
You know, we term I think you can relate to this.
We come from a generation where we just don't fail, yeah,
like you know, especially and if we do, it's a

(08:25):
worthy fail, like it's something that you can really just say, Okay,
I get it now, I know how to this one.
I couldn't get my head around I really and I
really missed out on the camaradity. I was very jealous
how everybody had this secret I didn't have at the reunion,
like everybody had formed this bond that I was like,
like you do on if You're lucky, I will say
it for your season, but like you do Housewives, like

(08:47):
you used to do on Housewives, right.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Yeah used to.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
So I really felt like I didn't it was an
incomplete task check in my psyche. To me, it was
just a real big like complete.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Well, you weren't there that long?

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Were you?

Speaker 3 (09:04):
I mean, I know, but it's just who I am,
you know, any I do.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
How many days were you actually there? Because I know
for me, I don't know if it's the same for
you guys. We had to come in three days early.
We were isolated, We sat in that room like we
were in jail. We had to ask for food, we
had to ask for medication, and then if you're lucky,
you got to walk and that was about it. So
how many days were.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
You going to still do that? But you know, I
just I just was like I just I went into
prepared last time and I was too. I thought I
could figure it out. The thing about I always say
to everyone everybody should try Traders once. It's almost like
a rehab, you know, and not just a very happy way,
just a life way. Like you know, you come back
from it there one day, five days, twenty days, you

(09:50):
come back from it like the first time they put
even in season three when they put their phone, because
no matter what, you still have to do stuff. It's
not like you're there overnight and come back. You get
there a little early, then you stay in your final
stuff and back up even just having your phone taken
away is something that was I think so good.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
No, it's horrible.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
No I liked it. I hated it, but you know
I don't. I'm not into the phone anymore.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
I'm less into the phone, but I just feel like
being that far away. But I still have like kids
at home, and why I don't have.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
That, and Hannah had like they had Hannah's number and
they had my and my parents. When Hannah knew if
anything happened to my parents, you know, they would call Hannah,
and Hannah would call whoever her contact was there.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Now your first for your first mission, would you have
done that differently? Now looking back.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
My first mission? No, I don't do that kind of
stuff where I only wish I could know?

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Do you wish you weren't so vocal?

Speaker 1 (10:51):
That's why you did? You would not get back on
that pontoon if you had a chance, because.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
One hundred percent I would have. I was really I
saw when I saw Dolores there by herself, there was
no way that I was gonna just I thought it
was terrible the way. Not to this day, not only
do I not regret it, Let me just double down like.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
I did have sight? Yeah, yeah, yeah, let me doubled down.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
I think it was disgusting the way none of those
men got off that parent. Yeah, leave it there.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
We had we had Ivar on recently, and that was
someone who you were very upset with in season I.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Was just very bloated about everything. Yeah, you know, and
he's someone that won by being silent, Like there's no
skill in that, Like anybody can hide under a rock
that might.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Yeah, well true, let's talk about you know, you had
you have now hindsight right like you did season three.
It didn't work out. Well, then you've gotten to go
on season four. You filmed the entire thing. You said
earlier that one of the things you try to not
take it so personal the second time around. What are
some other things that you employed in the second time

(12:00):
around that you didn't do the first time?

Speaker 3 (12:03):
Well, going into it, I think it's all about going
into it. Once you're there, it's kind of like you
know you have to, it's there's just there's not a
lot of control factors. It's not a it's not a
thing that you can control. But I think the preparation
it was totally different the uh going the first time on,
I was totally prepared. I was I hired a trainer.

(12:26):
I had read every book Hannah had written, shut me,
every philosopher. I had my clothes on point.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
I like, you was ready.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
I was ready this time. I didn't packed till like
a week before. They kept writing me, writing me, and
writing me. I didn't even work out. I'm like, I
just you know, I did my usual workout routine, not
that kind of and I just thought, let it be like.
I just was like, you know what, clearly what I
did before doesn't work, and that's it. I'm just going

(12:57):
to go back.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
And what did hand to say when you said I'm
going back good?

Speaker 3 (13:04):
You know?

Speaker 2 (13:04):
She did, because she's always such a voice or reason like.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
Yeah, because she's like, it's good for you, mom, you
should go back and do it, you you know, and
see if you know, because you feel I did. That's
what she used the word I felt unfulfilled. I felt unfinished.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
I think it's a good idea that they bring back
the person that is murdered first. And you know what,
I really second, and well, they's not we're not there yet.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
And it almost almost didn't matter. Once I got there
what happened. I was like, yeah, I'm back again.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
It's almost like, yeah, did.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
It remind you a little bit of bluestone manner a
little bit?

Speaker 1 (13:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (13:44):
Yeah, me too very much.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
Obviously it's the extreme form. It's it's sort of like
an older cad. Now here's a funny story about the castle,
which you probably don't know. I've been in that castle
before because when I lived in London, my friend Donald
mccaggert who's still owns it. Yes, yes, he was married
to my friend simb Could you know everything, tam, which
is the thing you don't know. My very good still

(14:12):
friend Sabina mctaggar who's German, and we'd gone up there
one weekend. Now it wasn't fixed up inside and you
actually stay there, but we had had like a lunch
on the grounds and it's and it was called Bannisting Castles.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Why did they buy it?

Speaker 3 (14:31):
Well, it was a family castle and so Donald McTaggart,
who is Greek now but obviously Scottish heritage, you know
how they inherit everything over there, and it was really
like here's the thing. I lived in London for ten
years and I and I so and I would go
to Scotland every weekend because my husband. My first husband

(14:53):
was Scottish and we spent every weekend in Scotland because
he was part owner of the Celtic football team soccer teams, football, whatever.
But we used to wander a lot. And then his
brother owned a little mini castle, so like, I know,
sounds crazy, but it was kind of like you're see
in one castle, you've seen them all, because you know
there's kind of so many rundown castles in England and

(15:14):
that people go and have lunches on that. When I
went the first time, and then it all happened so fast,
I thought, God, it just seems so familiar to me.
Weirds right. And then Donald called me and said, you know,
I can't believe you were at I said.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
I knew it. So now the family just rents it
out to I heard they had weddings there.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
Well, now it's that one place and the economics of
that place have been a game changer because what what
once was for Donald a complete money suck and.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
Sort of this place that what do you do just
pay the taxes and keep it remotely. Now it's a
it's not only a huge chores traction, the place for
weddings and events. Now for the people come to the town.
I mean it's like they go to see two things now,
the Lochness Monster and the traders.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Castle, well, the Trader's Castle for people that have not
been in it. The whole downstairs is pretty staged. Yeah,
it's staged with like a set like the kitchen. No,
I don't think so. I think like, I don't think
there's like a working oven or anything like that in there.
And upstairs. I had ventured upstairs, and it's all being renovated,

(16:29):
at least it was in season.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
Well even you know, you could see from season three
to when I went season four, like the bathrooms are
being done what they've done, which is clever and they
should they're obviously as the show wins more and more Emmys,
it gets more and more and now they're doing the
Civilian one and they're running with this, and obviously people
are obsessed. And I really think it's the way of
where reality is going is into these kind of wacky shows.

(16:55):
They have money, so you're gonna watch. They're gonna end
up doing that whole entire castle. I wouldn't be surprised
at some point if they finished the whole thing. They
have Some people stayed there because they're moving fast and
getting that. But I'll tell you a fun fact about it.
You know, it's very haunted.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
I could imagine, yeah, well, so many people have been
murdered there and vanished. I imagine that, Well.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
Is it you?

Speaker 5 (17:20):
Is it you?

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Just rattling chains late at night.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
It did remind me of an extreme form of blue Stomare,
because blue Stoman is not like, well you you know,
it's not a regular house. It's sort of like an
old fashioned house that's got you know, obviously it has
modern day although Vicky wouldn't say it. Vicky would say
it's like barely got electricity. But it is all modernized,
right it is.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
It's beautiful, but it's.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
Run like in the same fashion in a lot of ways,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
And then you're on how many acres?

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Funny one? That's all, but I'm selling some of it.
It's so I'm I made it to decision. So here's
an interesting story. Well, was my husband, my late husband
bought me this property before we were married, so as
a wedding present because I love the house growing up,
because I grew up down the road and my great

(18:15):
grandfather built this house.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Okay, I didn't know your great grandfather. I didn't know that.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
My great grandfather was brought over from Italy as the
team to be one of the masons. My grandfather, my uncle,
and then my grandfather worked at us, so it was
kind of like my grandfather, my Italian soign were all
masons and all that. You can imagine those boys cement people. Okay,
very Italian, you.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
So I always grew up in the house. Over the
years was owned and then not owned, and we used
to wander the grounds with my brother and go with
these old crazy houses that were all over the Berkshires
from the Gilded Age, and I would say to them,
I'm going to own the house a day. I told
Ralph the story and we were dating, we got engaged.
He then bought me the house, but the house had

(19:03):
never been renovated, so you know, it's it. So he
brought it for me six months before we got married,
which was very fortuitous and so lucky because when he
died it wasn't part of the mayor, it wasn't part
of the estate, so when it was it was such
a like not that I'm happy he had to pass

(19:25):
to learn that, but it's almost like it was predictive
because if I remember going to Proskauer's, the law firm,
and we were doing assets, and it came back to
me like a week later said, by the way, this
isn't an asset in your state because it's only it's
only in your name, and it was purchase six months
before you were married. How bizarre is that.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
One day I want to own a manor.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
I don't know if you do. It's a lot of work.
I mean, at.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
What how often are you there?

Speaker 3 (19:55):
There a lot because my parents are still down the road,
and my parents are old and faltering, and it's just
kind of in my blood at this point. But it
goes in spurts, like, for instance, now I'm back. I
came back last night. It's sort of I won't go
back up until closer to Christmas. Hannah's here. There's a
lot going on.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Remind me how long the drive is a little over
two hours, That's what I thought. It's like me going
to Big Bear two hours to get medical drive.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
You know, I stop in Millbrook, I have you know,
I see some friends in Millbrook and listen, I think
there's there's But the funny thing is I never knew
how many acres I own because Richard died and I
just was like trying to get through that and survive
through that and think, well, I didn't even I would
tell you the truth. When I was married to Richard,

(20:39):
I never paid a bill. I know, I know you
can't believe that about me, but I leaned into it.
I leaned in missus Medley Foley.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
It's not a bad place to be. It's not a
bad place to be.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
I will dream of also never paying.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Here this woman and she was great all the bill.
I didn't even barely get mail. I theyk just got paid.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
And I was like, well, this is I do know
how that happens. I grew up with no.

Speaker 6 (21:01):
Money, so all of a sudden, I was like, what
do you mean he goes yeah, you know, she just
it all goes to the office so it gets paid.
So of course, you know, you can lean into rich
people stuff very easily.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
It's it's very easy.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Can we talk about traders and just go ahead about
your manner?

Speaker 2 (21:21):
Oh yeah, I know, I don't.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
Know how we did that. Sorry, that's how it happens
with me, right, I.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
Want to housewives will just go on tangents yeah, terrible.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
Obviously at Bravocon they showed the trailer for season four.
I know that you can't talk a whole lot about it,
but what can you say about season four to get
people excited? Alan said something like, it's the you know,
like the craziest thing happens this season. What can you
say about season four to get everyone pumped?

Speaker 3 (21:51):
Well, I think I can tell you right now. It's
just an incredible cast. It's a very interesting, eclectic, colorful cast.
It's so much more sort of and I think there
is it's just like a cast. It's much more filled
with antics and and dare I say a little housewifeery?

Speaker 2 (22:07):
Oh dare you anybody you didn't care for in the cast?

Speaker 3 (22:12):
Yes? And I can't even think. It's not that I
didn't care for me, just did not take to me
the There were just certain people that, you know, I
think you always leaned towards the housewives. I was very
happy to see Lisa Rena, but then.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
There was something I'm dying to see Lisa a Rena
because we haven't gotten any Lisa Renna for a few
years since she left healthy.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
She's amazing TV, Like, it's such a shame she's not
on TV.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
To me, what housewives would you like to see go
on Traders next?

Speaker 3 (22:39):
You know who I think would be great on Traders
is Carol ROSSI.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Will yeah, for sure.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
She's like a living you know, even when she would
come to Bluestone matter, she's constantly playing clue like she's
just she would be great.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
She's very intelligent, very intelligent.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
I also said I think she would be great. I
actually think would be great on Traders.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
She'd be entertaining, that's for sure, you know what.

Speaker 7 (23:03):
I mean, she's just wandering around the castle just because
she's such a character and authentically sell herself that I
would just love to see that.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
Who else? You know, it takes a certain type of people,
not that person. Not all housewives are transferable to Traders.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
I don't think you've got a lot of celebrity friends
outside of Housewives. I get asked this question a lot too,
of like who do you think would be really good
on the show? Who do you think would be really
good on the show that's not part of the Housewives
family that you are friends with?

Speaker 3 (23:42):
You know what I think they should have They should
have on, like a famous chef, because chefs are such
great thinkers. We were talking about this before and show.
They're such great like they you know, people think that
chefs are sort of like these happy go lucky They're not.
They're like, they maneuver, they're great thinkers. They're a little dark,
they're a little yeah role, they're a little sinister. Every
chef like John George to me, would be great on it.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
Gordon Ramsey would be scary. That would be so fun.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
I think that I think someone like Sarah Paulson would
be great.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
Oh what politician do you think would be good on
the show? I mean, I think all of them would
be good because they're great at lying.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
But I think any of the people that are in
office now because they're all sort of life. We're in
the world right now. They are traders and games living.
Take a pic.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
You know you're not wrong, Why.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
Don't we just play? You don't be great out of
Elon Musk. So imagine him wandering around the castle.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
You know how much money he'd want to do that
and the time commitment. That's because I'm always thinking like
it would be great to have like a list celebrities
doing this as well, to see a different side of them.
But none of them, it would be so expensive to
hire them. And then the time commitments.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
I mean, they've got all these Emmys and they must
be getting tons of like making more and more money
now thing. What about Lisa vander Palm, I thought she said, I.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
Just don't think she'd do it, like I know, like
I know for a fact, like I Heather debrauh would
never do it. She just wouldn't do it. I just
don't see her doing that. She's like, no way, no time.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
Experience, you know, you have to go pretty rogue. You
have to kind of be really open.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
To not everybody wants to do that.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
No, Well, I think Nanny Leaks would be great. I
think at some point she was.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
Didn't they ask her? Didn't they ask Nini and she
turned it down or something? Or is that a rumor?

Speaker 3 (25:33):
I can't. I think I thought I heard that too.
You know, as you guys know, they don't tell you anything.
I know that people think that we know a lot
before we go into it, but you don't know, we
know nothing. You know. What I think would be good
is Laala, Oh.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
Lala'd be great Lala. I'm a big Laala fan, so
La could do no wrong in my eyes, she's.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
Good, a great she's a good little thinker on her feet.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
Yeah yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
Who's going to be the breakout star of season four?
Do you think who's gonna be the Dylan Ephron of
season four?

Speaker 3 (26:16):
What does that mean?

Speaker 2 (26:17):
The sexy guy is there going to be? Like a
sexy guy that's always taking the baths the shower opened
his body.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
I mean when I when I walked in the first
day and saw that Rob Broch, Yeah, people.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
I mean, who's that. I don't even know who that is.

Speaker 3 (26:29):
He is one of the people from Love Island. He
doesn't really Oh they're all beautiful people. He doesn't really speak,
but he's got he's beautiful. He does army. Yeah, he's
very quiet, but he's.

Speaker 4 (26:41):
Beautiful, but dumb as a box of rocks strategy, He's
not dumb, he's just very quiet.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
It was like, uh, Britney Spears.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
And I think I did to tell you something. He
would have fooled me on Love Island. I mean all
he had and I would have fallen for it. Yeah yeah,
I mean as soon as everybody saw him. And he's
kind of like the guy that the outdoors guy, kind
of like overalls but very good looking.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Look kind of like Sam is his name, Sam Brittany is.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
More rugged, like he wrangles snakes and stuff like that. Wow,
I know already fall over them.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
I wanted to ask you, you know, like, obviously you've
made such good TV for a long time on Real
Housewives and now doing Traders for a second time. What
do you think about the show Traders specifically that makes
it such a good reality TV show?

Speaker 3 (27:39):
I think a because of the secrecy. I think it's
amazing the way they keep the veil of secrecy. People
love that. The production value is off the charts. Alan
Coming is just brilliant. I mean I was every time
we walked through the door. I was excited to see
them and the way that they they the way that

(28:00):
they it is such an incredible exercise in human behavior
and how conformity and how you know, people quickly change
and are willing to do things you never thought you
would do. It's such an exercise in human nature. It's
like that book that we all read growing up, and

(28:22):
when they're all put on the island and they all
turn against each other, Lord the Flies, Lord of the Flies.
It becomes like a living lord. You know, It's like
Lord of the flies and and it's it's the psychology
behind it, to me is brilliant. It's like it's writable.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
Every show can be better now. Whether they are or
they aren't going forward, that remains to be seen. What's
one thing that the show could do to make it better?

Speaker 3 (28:49):
I just want to watch TV.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
Let us drink when we're happening.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
We talk about this and quite a few us.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
I want to watch television.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
Well, they do. They do change television.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
I'm at the point because I don't got a man
in my bed. I got that TV on all the time.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
Oh my god. But you know, they do change it
up just a little bit every new season. And we've
talked about this before and thought it'd be really cool
if they didn't let the audience know who the traders were.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
I agree with you. I think I don't understand that
why they announce them so early, and not only just
because why, but second of all, because they know they're
going to get murdered. So when people see you out,
it's a way for the sluice, and God knows, the
sluice are so good now to figure it out. If
they don't know, then they'll not know if you're back
home or not.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
Yeah, yeah, right, it would be so fun. I mean,
the editing would be hard, right because you have to
choose what you want to use, and you could probably
lead people down the path that was incorrect if you
weren't exposing who the traders were to the audience. But
I do think it would make for a really fun

(30:02):
TV show, especially make it interactive.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
Well, I think it's I don't think they should announce
the cast so early on.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
You know why they do that. They didn't do that
in the very beginning, but it just leaks. Like I
started getting text messages while I was on the plane
to Scotland saying, Hey, I'm gonna let you know Dan
is going to be there. I heard Dan is there.
Maybe it's a spotting, maybe something on somebody saw them
put on social media. I don't know how people find out,
but I'm like, who's Dan?

Speaker 3 (30:33):
I don't know who Dan?

Speaker 1 (30:34):
Durand up. Thank you so much for coming on.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
I miss you well.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
Will you promise? Will you promise us right now that
you'll come back on while the show.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Is Are you win?

Speaker 3 (30:44):
Absolutely? Then I can spill the beans.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
Yeah, I want that.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
I wish you were in New York. We're gonna finally
have dinner together. We've been promising each other we're going
to have dinner for years and we haven't done it yet.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
We're going to go to a Broadway show. Yeah, we're
gonna go see my wife's show, and then we're gonna
get to dinner and we're gonna have a.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
Dancing in front of me. At the Macy's day for you,
I'm like, wait a.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
Second, I know she did you a video? Did you get?

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Very texted me and she was Durnta was there and
I was like, why didn't you go, say, hiders, guy.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
I my phone. She's realized that it was gonna be
such a huge thing. And when they were like when
Macy's invited me, I thought, okay, I'll go. I'll stop by. Meanwhile,
they sent you that big long itinerary and then they
breakfast and all these people were there. I was like, Oh,
this is like a real thing, like.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
A real real thing. This is cannot be the first
time you were there, first time I've.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
Never been in New York for Thanksgiving. Because I was
this is the first year we're not host at Bluestone Manor,
and I'm gonna take something. Folks I'll never host again
a blue Stone manner. Thanksgiving, I am staying in New
York City.

Speaker 7 (31:52):
But terror, let me tell you a really funny handled
up so hard, so I had to run to the
bathroom like part way through, so you know it said
hi to people, but you know there's everyone's focused on
much bigger people than me.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
Okay, so it's going to come out. And when I
walked out, the crowd went crazy. So I said, waving
to the crowd, hold on, and the Grinch was walking
behind me goes, oh my god, Mom, you're such a sucker.

Speaker 5 (32:28):
I'm excited. Love we were upstaged by the Grinch, and
he goes, Mom, that.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
Is classic during the.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Medsh always a good story.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
With you, all right, thank you, we love you.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
We'll talk to you.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
I love you, guys, love you.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
Always fun to talk to Derinda. I'm glad that she
got to go back because I was so annoyed, Like
the television producer in me was very annoyed that I
thought the biggest television star that we had on the
show was kicked off of me.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
Did you know so you knew her before?

Speaker 1 (33:11):
Yeah? I mean, like listen, I don't no offense. I
don't really watch Real Housewives shows, like that's more of
my wife's bag. But I knew who she was, you know,
like it was almost like she is so big that
she kind of transcends that world. At least A Runner
is a good example of that as well, Like I
know that person, and I just remember thinking, you know,

(33:33):
I watched season two and Johnny Bananas got kicked out first,
and I was like, it's so dumb. He makes such
good TV. And then when she went out, I was like,
it's so dumb. She makes such good TV. So I'm
glad that she gets to go back.

Speaker 3 (33:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Yeah, when I think that everybody that gets let go
the very first day should have a chance of going back,
I like that they do that.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
They should have one season where it's just people kicked
off first, all the losers. Yeah yeah, yeah, Oh my gosh, yeah,
I call it the Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
Yeah, Well they're going to start getting creative. I mean,
there's only so much talent out there when it comes
to reality that they're going to be like resurfacing recycling,
you know, going back.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
Fifty years, and that's when I will make my triumphant
return trade it. Yes, everyone out there, thanks so much.

Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today.
