Speaker 1 (00:09):
Week twelve in college football, we got us some upsets.
And if you are a Unafraid show George Reis was
college Football podcast listener, regular listener. You knew the answers
to the test already. You knew the answers to the
(00:30):
test because I gave them to you already. I told
you exactly what was going to happen. I could not
have been any more adamant about what was going to
happen when it came to Georgia and Texas, and also
(00:50):
what was going to happen when it came to when
it came to Alabama and Oklahoma. Gave you the answers
to the test early, people, I gave them to you.
There's no reason to fail the test. If you failed
the test, it is because you were unprepared or you
(01:12):
did not believe that it was a real thing. And
so we are going to start with the game of
the day that was well. Actually, first of all, let's
talk about this college football playoff for a second, because
(01:32):
the college football Playoff, which is going to feature a
lot of SEC teams. Things got a little messier today
and it could have even gotten even more crazy had Texas,
A and M not pulled off the biggest up, the
biggest comeback in SEC since at least what like two
(01:54):
thousand and five. Since two thousand and five, SEC teams
are they were zero and two hundred and eighty six
or two hundred and sixty eight in games that they
were down by twenty seven points or more. And you
know what ended up happening. Shane Beemer and South Carolina
(02:15):
found a way, They found a way to snatch defeat
from the jaws of victory. It was actually insane how
bad that this was. This was a This was a
awful situation when it came to Texas A and M.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
So let's start with that game.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Because I have been telling you guys for the entire
season that Texas Tech is a that they are a
good football team, but that this is not a national
championship caliber team. And you guys make sure that you
hop into comments like subscribe, get notifications, tell a friend
about the show, that this is not a national championship
(03:01):
caliber team. There's a lot of people that talk about
Ohio State. Who is Ohio State played? Who is Oregon
played well? Who has Texas A and M played outside
of Notre Dame? They played Auburn bad As CCT, Mississippi
State bad A SECT, Florida bad As CCTAM, Alabama bad
(03:24):
As CCT OH, Arkansas bad As CCT, LSU oh another
bad team Missouri, another unranked middle of the road slash
bottom SCC team, South Carolina OH.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Bad SEC team. Hum.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
When are they going to play play one of the
upper echelon SEC teams?
Speaker 2 (03:46):
They don't.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
And if they were in a situation where where they
were in the Big ten or the ACC or the
Big twelve, everybody would be asking who did Texas A
and M play? Well, Texas A and M has not
played any of those good teams. They have not played
any upper echelon SEC teams. But we're supposed to believe
(04:09):
the outrage of Lane Kiffen and anybody else talking about this.
This is the number one team in the nation. I
have given everybody the blueprint for how you beat Texas
A and M.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Number one.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
You have to stop the run, which is not the
easiest task in the whole wide world, but you have
to stop the run. And then you have to make
Marcel Read throw the ball from the pocket. And you
might be saying to me, George, well he threw for
four hundred and thirty nine yards today, three touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
He also threw five picks.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
They dropped three of them. If you can keep him
off schedule, he will throw you the football. If this
running game does not get going for South Carolina, Marcel Reid,
you squeeze him in the pocket. Don't let him just
run around, because that's what he wants to do. When
(05:00):
things get uncomfortable, you will beat them. And South Carolina
this was I keep hearing Leonora's Seller's first round pick.
The only place Leonora Sellers needs to be going is
back to school. He is Anthony richardson two point zero
(05:21):
at this point in time.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
He needs more starts, he needs more experience.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
And if I'm South Carolina, if I do keep Shane Beemer,
because they're three and seven right now, one in seven
in the sec. If I do keep Shane Beemer, he
gotta go hire me a new quarterback coach. He already
fired the offensive coordinator. I need a quarterback developer to
help this young kid out because right now there's nothing
(05:49):
about him that says NFL, nothing at all. So at
no point in time can you love what you've seen
out of that? And that's exactly what South Carolina did.
Twenty nine rushes for Texas A and M sixty four yards.
They shut them absolutely down, and I knew. So it
(06:13):
was thirty to three at halftime, and I knew at
that point in time, I said, if tex A and
M comes out in scores and gets it thirty to ten,
this game's over.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
You're like jeorcee. There were up twenty points.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
When TEXA and M came out and scored and it
got thirty to ten, it felt like South Carolina was
down by two touchdowns. I thought Texas and M might
might mess around to end up covering the point spread.
At that point in time, it was. It was ugly
and this is one of the biggest collapses in SEC
recent SEC history. This was absolutely awful. But I did
(06:50):
want to bring up what happened with the police officer
or the SHAFF for whatever you know, law enforcement agency
when Nicholas Harbor scored the touchdown number one. Here's the
part I'm not mad about. I'm not mad because this
is college football, and college football fans are absolutely that
(07:13):
is crazy. That part I don't mind because you're like, Okay,
this is par for the course for college football.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Fans.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
But but then I'm like, yep, yep, there is no
way that you can allow a law enforcement official to
intentionally bump players during a game because he's too invested
(07:42):
in the football game. That don't work. And before the
game was over, they tweeted out that he had been
relieved of his duties as he should be, as he
should be, there should probably be a suspension here. If
we're really being honest, I'm not gonna call for the
man's job fully because he's a crazy college football fan.
(08:04):
But that looked like a guy because he turned around
and confronted the players too. After bumping into multiple players.
I was like, this is the kind of dude that, like,
I wonder. It made me wonder what kinds of things
that he does on the job. If I'm being honest,
I was like, is this the type of law enforcement officer.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
That we really really want?
Speaker 1 (08:28):
That? That's really what I thought, because if he's willing
to confront players like that, yeah, I don't know about that.
But let's get to talking about these college football rankings, right,
these college football rankings, because after today, let's go to
(08:50):
the rankings as they sat last week. Let me pull
them up so yeah, So here it is. As the
rankings sat last week. You had let me put my
camera on right there so y'all can see me too.
(09:10):
So the rankings last week sat Ohio State one, Indiana
to Texas A and M three Alabama, Georgia, Texas Tech,
Ole Miss, Oregon, Notre Dame in Texas in the top ten.
I told y'all Texas was getting BTA Belta as. I
told you that was gonna happen. Told you Georgia was
(09:30):
gonna run them out of the building. And what did
Georgia do? Run them out of the building? And so
I believe so all of that Texas Tech for number
one or number two, that's out the window. I would
actually put Texas Tech at number three, but I don't
(09:51):
believe the committee is gonna do that. They may put
Georgia at number three, Texas Tech at number four, and
Texas A and M at five. After the way that
this shook out, they're gonna leave old Miss in front
of Oregon, despite you know, struggling with Florida, Oregonal State
(10:12):
oregonal move up to number seven. And then the question
is will Alabama drop to eight or will they drop
behind Notre Dame at nine. That's what I think that
you're gonna have. I don't think that there's any way
that you're gonna have Alabama. Oh wait, excuse me, excuse me,
because Oklahoma's actually gonna jump up in front of them.
(10:33):
So you so you're probably gonna have Oklahoma go to
eight and then Alabama go to nine or ten behind
Notre Dame.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
That's what.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
That's what the answer to the test that I think
that we're going to get. And you guys, somebody said,
why is Texas in the top twenty five? Because because
their name is Texas and they have our man and
they were in the College Football Playoff last year, so
you know that name brands matter. R. The next game
(11:08):
that we got to talk about is Iowa in USC.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Now.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
This game sets up probably game day going to Eugene
again and an epic matchup because USC is finally is
finally relevant again and they are trying to go and
possibly knock Organ out of the College Football Playoff and
trying to establish themselves as a College Football Playoff contender
(11:39):
and a real football team. Well, they're headed up to Eugene.
USC has not played well on the road. They got
beat up today. They got injured today. But I will
say I challenged USC fans to show up in the
rain and create a home field advantage and they did not.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
They did not.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Yes, some people showed up to the coliseum. But it's
honestly disgusting. How les a fair how fair weather USC
fans are. Now, you do have some that are very
very committed, you do, but overall.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
Yeah, that's not cool. That is that is not cool.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
And now Jacobe Lane makay Limon Kaye Lemmon was spectacular today,
had over ten catches, well over one hundred yards. It
felt like he was the reason why they won this
football game. And so the question is who wins that
football game? And we'll discuss that this week. But this
(12:45):
sets up a showdown. And this is what Lincoln Riley
feels like he's been building his program for. And you're
gonna see what's what next week. But this Iowa game,
I could figure out for the life of me what
Iowa was doing in this football game. They were playing.
(13:06):
They Gronowski Granowski. They came out chucking and chucking the football.
They threw the ball way too many times in this
game against USC. I couldn't figure out why the hell
that they were doing this. Yes, on the first drive,
yes you want to throw them off balance, but they
nerved their own advantage over usc Granowski ended up throwing
(13:31):
nineteen passes when he should have thrown twelve. It was
pouring down raining. They rushed the ball thirty three times.
They should have rushed at fifty times. They would have
had more extended drives had they stopped trying to throw
the damn ball so much. With a quarterback who cannot
throw the ball, he can't. He missed wide open receivers
(13:55):
with guys diving on the ground to catch the ball
and getting two yards when they should have got eight.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
It ain't it.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
But I do have to give Jaden Mayava, mayava, my a,
my ava, excuse me, a whole lot of credit. The
kid was spectacular. He threw the ball in a phone
booth today, I'm sorry, in a shoebox. He was throwing
(14:26):
the ball today in a shoebox. It was incredible in
the rain. I was highly impressed with him. Now he's
also another kid that needs to stay in school. But
the NFL is going to be calling for a lot
of these these guys, and we got so many quarterbacks
(14:46):
that are that should say in school and he is
one of them. Because this twenty twenty seven draft class
is going to be spectacular if that happens. And the
twenty twenty sixth class has not shaped out the way
it belongs or the way that it should be or
the way that we expected it because nuss Meyergan got benched,
(15:07):
he didn't even start today for LSU. Kate Klubnick hasn't
had the season that you expected, and a bunch of
those other quarterbacks as well. So it is going to
be a tough sled and trying to get in the
NFL draft for this upcoming come a year, it is
gonna be tough. Now the next game, oh well, so
(15:31):
this USC defense though they did get a little bit
beat up in this game. Kamari Ramsey got hurt. They
had a defensive lineman get hurt. I you know, the
depth is thing. But this was a huge win. And
you saw Lincoln Riley get emotional. This is how you
know that the pressure starting to build up and he's like, yes,
(15:52):
it's such huge And it was a statement win to
actually be able to beat a physical team, regardless of
whether it's on the at home or on the road.
So this was a big win for USC, huge win,
and you know they did a good job. Now the
next game up, Oklahoma versus Alabama. I told y'all on
(16:14):
the show this week, who was going to win this
football game? I would have bet my mortgage on this one,
and you know I don't really bet on sports. Oklahoma
was going to beat Alabama. I predicted Alabama to miss
the college football playoff, and we are getting closer and
closer to that prediction coming true. Everybody told me I
(16:37):
was crazy, and then they lost to Florida State and
they were like, you might be onto something. Then that
they go on a roll, but I knew. And it's
not that I believe that Kaitlyn de Boor is a
bad coach, because I actually believe the dude is a
really good football coach. But I also believe that he
has not gotten this team exactly where he wants them
(17:00):
at this point in time. And now you got Alabama
fans who are calling for his job. He's not getting fired, people,
He's not getting fired. And I see y'all in the comments.
I will get to y'all comments. You can always, you know,
if you can super chatty, if you want your comment
(17:20):
of addressed immediately.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
But Kaylin de Boor is a good football coach.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
But this Alabama team, I'm gonna give you a hint.
And the reason why I knew that they were going
to win this football well, that Alabama was going to
lose this football game. Oklahoma's defense is really good, really good,
and they're good at stopping to run. And what does
(17:52):
Alabama do poorly? Alabama runs the ball poorly. They ran
the ball today thirty three times for eighty yards. That
is that is not gonna cut it. That is too
what how many yards per carry is that? That is
two point four yards per carry?
Speaker 2 (18:12):
That ain't it.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
That is not going to get you football. That is
not gonna get you wins in college football. And so
that was going to allow Brent Vinnables, who's one of
the best defensive coordinators in all of college football, to
key in on the pass game. That's how I knew
the answer to the test. And you might say, George,
Oklahoma doesn't run the football very well either. You are
(18:36):
one hundred percent right, But whose defense would I then
trust more to get stops? Would I then trust Jeometer's
legs to be able to make a few plays here
and there, and for him to do okay in the
past game, or would I trust him to stop Alabama more?
And that's what I did. I don't trust Alabama's defense
(18:57):
like that. They did okay today, But they did okay
versus a A you know, in an average offense at best.
That's that's what Oklahoma is. But but Xavier Robinson, he
tried his best running the football today.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
Ten for thirty four.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
Uh for Alabama, Daniel Hill and jam Jam Miller twenty
seven yards and sixty yards.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
It's not gonna cut it.
Speaker 1 (19:24):
This is the problem that Alabama's going to continuously run
into and Kaylyn de Boor until he can run the
ball at a high level. This offensive line, it's either
scheme or offensive line. And it takes like Kate Kaylyn
de bors Due was at Fresno State. He goes to Washington,
hits the lotto with having a good roster. Uh, the
(19:48):
players weren't really transferring out in the portal like like that.
He gets Michael Pennix Junior and Roma Doonze. They glow
up everything like like that, and it works out. And
then he goes down to the SEC and he has
to learn how to play SEC ball, just like when
(20:08):
you go to the Big ten you got to learn
how to play Big ten ball because you haven't played
a lot of the teams that are there, so you
don't know their tendencies. He doesn't know how to play
against Bent, Brent Vinnibles because he hadn't done it. He
doesn't know how to you know, in these stadiums and
every there's so much that goes into that makes it
(20:31):
difficult on younger on newer coaches to win when they
change conferences. Just telling that that's why coaches who've been
around a little bit more do sometimes have a little
bit more success early.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
All right, next game.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
Up, boy, Oh boy, this is Texas versus Georgia. I
told you belt to ass that's what was going to happen.
Oh I didn't get give y all a score earlier
for a couple games. Oklahoma twenty three, Alabama twenty one,
Georgia thirty five, Texas ten. Told you Texas was going
(21:13):
to get put in their place. They had no business
being ranked number ten in the nation. They got way
too much credit for beating Kentucky on the road and
Mississippi State on the road. Those are bad football teams.
And yes, the Vanderbilt win was cute, but Vanderbilt took
(21:35):
good You know, they're good somewhere between nineteen to fourteen
kind of team. They're not elite, actually nineteen to fifteen. Really,
I shouldn't be in the discussion for the college football playoffs,
but acknowledgement, you had.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
A good season.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
The issue with this Texas team is the same issue
that Alabama has. They can't run football. They cannot run
the football. And you got to give Art some credit today.
He didn't do He did miss some some throws that
would have helped the team a lot, but he finished
twenty seven for forty three, two point fifty one touchdown
(22:15):
on a pick. You can work with that for considering
that he'll be back for next year. You can work
with a quarterback there, because in the beginning of the season,
we weren't even sure that Art was a serviceable quarterback
in terms of being an upper end starting quarterback in
college football. And now you got And then on the
(22:37):
other end you had Gunner Stockton, who got a running
game today thirty five for one, twenty eight out of
Nate Fraser, Chauncey Bowens, Bownce Bowen's and then yeah, they
did a good job.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
They did a good.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
Job, and Gunner took care of the football except for
the one pick.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
This was a quality win.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
Quality win when you can make when your defense is
good enough to make people one dimensional, especially when you
can stop the run, you're going to have success. And
Georgia now looks like the class of the SEC. Yes
over Texas A and M. And I know that people
are going to like, I'm telling you what is going
(23:21):
to happen this week. The talking heads on ESPN, the
talking heads on SEC Network, Paul Firebomb Show, everything else
they are going to be giving Texas. I'm sorry Georgia,
Oh excuse me, Texas A and M all sorts of credit.
Oh that was a gutsy win. It was a gutsy
(23:41):
win over South Carolina. Oh my gosh, the gutsy win.
I mean, I mean that just shows Marcel Reid had
his Heisman moment.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
This was excellent.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
You got down thirty to three, and you showed how
bad you can be. If you were playing anybody else
except for South Carolina and you fall down like that,
you're going to lose. Shane Beember got way too happy
before halftime hyping up the crowd, getting all excited, came
out and played scared. His team did not play to win.
(24:19):
They played scared.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
I'm telling you that's not gonna cut it.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Next thing is y'all, Oh my lord, thank you, thank you,
thank you people who have been watching this show. Yesterday
we were a little bit away from twenty five thousand subscribers,
and y'all came through in the clutch. We passed twenty
five thousand subscribers. I'm trying to figure out exactly what
(24:51):
we're gonna do for you, guys, because because I gotta
give something back, because y'all have made this happen.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
Y'all have grown the show.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
Listen, twenty five thousand subscribers is like that point where
YouTube starts unlocking.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
Stuff for you. Apparently they.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
Let you out of the bottom of the basement and
then you've leveled up some. There's more sponsorship stuff available,
all sorts of stuff, and it is because of you, guys.
So I got to figure out how I can, you know,
give something to y'all because this is.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Special stuff, special special stuff.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
And I appreciate it, all right, all right, So we've
covered the Texas, so I got a question for y'all,
and I'm gonna look in the chat right now.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
Who do you think.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
The give me your top three teams in college football?
Put them in the chat right right now in order
because Ohio State has not been tested, but they've also
knocked the doors off of everybody that they faced. And
that also leads to a level of concern for me,
(26:02):
because this reminds me a little bit of Oregon last year.
Because Ohio State won their game today forty eight to
ten over Ucla.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Ucla didn't Nico didn't play.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
They were playing with their backup quarterback and everything else,
and this was one of my zero threat games. Forty
eight to ten. Julian Saym put up another He didn't
put up a rock star performance because he only threw
fo one hundred and eighty four yards, but he was
twenty three for thirty one.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
How many touchdowns did they have won?
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Yeah, and you know Jeremiah Smith was banged up, only
four catches today. Carnell Tate didn't play, but Bo Jackson
did rush for fifteen for one to twelve and a touchdown.
This Ohio State team looks highly impressive at this point
in time. But I'm gonna tell you, the only thing
(26:58):
that scares me about this Ohio State team is the
same thing that happened with Oregon last year. There wasn't
a whole lot of being tested throughout the season, and
then you show up in the playoff and you get
kicked in the mouth because we don't know how Julian
Sayan is going to respond when there's some adversity. We
(27:20):
don't know how he's going to respond, and how this
Ohio State team is going to respond if they're down
in the second half.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
We don't.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
And you don't want to figure it out the first
time in the playoff because it could go left for you,
all right.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
And that was that Ohio State UCLA game.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
The next no doubt game was Texas Tech versus UCF.
Texas Tech I believe is the second best team in
college football right now. This feels like the second best
team in college football to me right now. And I
have watched this team be excellent. I have watched him
(28:09):
be excellent, and this team has been their defensive phenomenal.
Rodriguez the linebacker has been phenomenal. He got another pick
today for his fourth pick of the season. He struck
(28:30):
the Heisman post. I love it calling it out because
now more people are gonna have to talk about it,
because right now it does not appear that there is
a is a player who is leading the Heisman race.
Right I'm a Heisman voter and I'm looking at it.
I'm like, who do I vote for? Julian saying his
(28:52):
team is elite Today he played with a hurt Jeremiah
Smith and Tate was out. Numbers went down dramatically. Marcel Reid.
He's been awful at times. Yes, he led a comeback,
but okay, cool. Dante Moore, he's been He's been solid
(29:16):
all years, been really good. Has not stood out where
I'm like, oh my god, Like this is by far
the most outstanding performance of this season. Jeremiah Love. He
finally had a really good game against a really good defense. Okay,
so Rodriguez might be your Heisman winner or Fernando Mendoza,
(29:40):
there's something there. But this Texas Tech team, they took
UCF and put them in a blender. This defense is
one one hundred percent elite over there at Texas Tech
forty eight to nine, forty eight to nine, they held
(30:01):
them twenty nine for fifty to Russian only one hundred
and seventy eight passing yards, while Baron Moreen and Mitch
Griffiths went for two hundred and ninety four yards passing
twenty seven for thirty seven, and then Texas Tech rushed
for two hundred and five yards on thirty nine on
thirty five.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Carris, this is money well spent. And I know that.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
You know, traditional blue blood programs like they're buying a championship,
they're buying this, they're buying that. Yes they are. Everybody
has advantages. Alabama has built in advantages because they're Alabama.
Ohio State has built in advantages because they're blue blood Michigan.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
Same thing.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
So if you're Texas Tech, you gotta find a way
to find your level, level the playing field. Same way
with Oregon level the playing field. And they don't like it.
But so what you gotta do. What you gotta do. Now,
let me hop in the chat because there was some
USC fans in the chat. They came with the same
tired excuse, the same tired excuse about why the stadium
(31:07):
is not full. Oh, there's supers to do in Los Angeles.
I live in Los Angeles. Yes, there is a lot
to do in Los Angeles. But you know what, Dodgers
don't have no problem with getting people to show up.
Neither do the Lakers, Neither do the Clippers. Neither do shows,
neither do musicals, none of that. You know why, because
people go and spend their time at places that matters
(31:32):
to them the most. It just don't matter as much
to the overall USC fan. Yes, there are some people
who are super committed, like USC Psycho who's been to
every game for like twenty years. That's dedication. So USC
fans don't you can miss me. You can hop out
of my comments. You can be mad all you want
(31:52):
to until y'all start filling up the coliseum on a
game in and game out basis. You can miss me
with that do better, do better, and stop making excuses.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
All right?
Speaker 1 (32:06):
The next game up that we got to talk about.
I thought this was a no doubt game, and this
was Georgia Tech versus Boston College. Boston College was one
in nine coming into this game, and Georgia Tech has
consistently this season.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
They are.
Speaker 1 (32:29):
They are a cat who has nine lives. They are
nine to one right right now. They used up a
life against Colorado the first game of the season. Because
they turned the ball over so many times and found
a way to win. They kicked the field goal to
beat Clemson after being down in that game too. That
(32:49):
was another life. They beat Temple, they snuck out awake Forrest.
That's three lives. They beat Virginia Tech easily. They turned uh,
they got some things going with Duke. No, didn't lose
a life. They're Syracuse. Didn't lose a life. You fought
way too hard with n C State. The another life.
(33:10):
That's four LIFs gone Boston College. They should have lost
this game today, But Boston College is just they don't
know how to win. They're not a good football team
right now. That's why they're one and one and nine.
But Haines get the margin for error. For Georgia Tech
is the smallest in the in the college football field,
(33:32):
who is expected to get in. I can't even feel
comfortable saying that Georgia Tech is gonna.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
Win the a c C.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
I can't even feel comfortable that they're gonna beat pitt
next week. But if they lose the pit, they're gonna
mess around and turn around and beat Georgia. This is
just how how it goes. Brent Key's doing a great job,
but they rely way too much on Haines King. Think
about this, Haines King. Obviously, he's a leading passor, he's
(34:00):
a quarterback eighteen hundred yards, nine touchdowns, two interceptions. He's
also the leading rusher by two hundred and forty yards
and eight touchdowns and by almost seventy carries. That is
way too much for one man to shoulder. So if
I'm talking Heisman, I gotta put Haines King and Diego
(34:21):
pave in there, because if Diego Pabia gets Vanderbilt to
ten wins, that's a whole nother that's a whole another
can of words that we got to talk about. But yeah,
but I did not expect that at all. That was crazy. Now,
I just want y'all to see the way y'all can
(34:42):
see this for yourself. Here are the teams that I
put on upset alert today in addition to Georgia, including
Texas Georgia. I told you what was gonna happen with that,
and then Alabama Oklahoma. I didn't put Alabama Oklahoma in
this graphic simply because I wanted to talk about that
(35:02):
game more on its own.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
But let's start with this Michigan Northwestern game.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
I knew Michigan was going to win this game, but
I but originally I had picked Northwestern to win, and
then I realized that this game was at Wrigley Field.
So then when the game was at Wrigley Field, I
was like, Michigan's gonna have a little more juice. They're
gonna find a way to pull it out. They rushed
the ball forty five times, two hundred and fifteen yard,
(35:30):
two hundred and sixteen yards, three touchdowns, and then they
actually held Northwestern to twenty six carries for sixty one
yards and two touchdowns, and Preston Stone only threw one
hundred and eighty four yards, no touchdowns, zero interceptions, so
you're like so. And then Bryce Underwood threw for two
hundred and eighty yards, so you're like, Michigan had five
(35:52):
hundred yards to total offense to only two forty for Northwestern.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
How did this happen?
Speaker 1 (36:00):
It was the fact that Michigan lost three fumbles and
they threw two picks.
Speaker 2 (36:07):
Bryce Underwood threw two picks. That's five turnovers.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Five turnovers, and you can't manage more than twenty two points.
I told you, Michigan was gonna have juice in the game,
and that's exactly what happened. This Michigan team. It ain't
pretty at all.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
Charon Moore.
Speaker 1 (36:29):
Somebody asked me today, They were like, when is Sharon
Moore gonna get on the hot seat. I'm saying, he's
got Michigan ten and two with a true freshman quarterback,
ain't no hot seat coming. If he can figure out
how to get Bryce Underwood to stop turning the ball
over and be about two hundred and fifty yards a game,
this Michigan team is going to be a problem when
(36:51):
it comes time for Ohio State. If you had asked
me two weeks ago, could Michigan beat Ohio State or
shock them again? The answer would have been hell, no,
not a single solitary chance in hell. But now you're like, huh,
they can run the football, they they're physical, they can
actually stop you on defense.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
Huh, how's this gonna work? Tell you?
Speaker 1 (37:17):
So there there could be something there, all right. The
next game, so Utah and Baylor, I put Utah on
upset alert and they ended up winning this football game
fifty five to twenty eight. Now, the reason why I
put them on on upset alert is because I thought
(37:39):
that on some kind of level that Sawyer Robertson was
going to be able to throw the ball a decent
amount and that they were gonna be able to pile
up yards some rushing, some passing. I was one hundred
percent right. They gained five hundred and sixty three yards
of offense Baylor did and scored twenty eight points. Problem
(38:03):
is they had two interceptions, which is which is not ideal,
and they also allowed Utah to rush for three hundred
and eighty yards. I did not stutter. Three hundred and
eighty yards on forty three carries, that is eight point
(38:25):
eight yards per carry. Bird Fickland and way Shan Parker
just just striking it. Rich Fickland six for one sixty
six and two tuddies long of seventy four. Just It
(38:46):
reminded me of a game that I played when I
was in college, and we played against Wisconsin when I
was at Oregon. I think this was in two thousand
and we went out there, Oh, we are holding Michael
Bennett and check. Michael Bennett had like twenty seven carries
for like twenty five yards, but then he had three
(39:08):
three carries for like for like two seventy. That average
is just fine. When you do do that, just keep
knocking and knocking and knocking. The issue that Utah is
going to run into, which what they ran into against
Texas Tech and they ran into against BYU. They cannot
(39:31):
throw the football at a high level. Devin Dampier is
not a good it's not an elite high level passer,
and he struggles passing the football in terms of just
just being a thrower of the of the football. It's
not working right now. So so yeah, uh, but as
(39:53):
far as Baylor goes, they're now five and five, and
you should stay alert because this is another job that
may come come open this year. It's another job. I
put Virginia on upset alert only because their quarterback Morris
(40:13):
was in concussion protocol. We weren't one hundred percent sure
he was gonna play when I recorded the video on Tuesday,
so we weren't sure. But Virginia came out and they stormed.
Morris ended up playing through for three hundred and sixteen yards,
but he did throw in two touchdowns, but he did
throw two picks. Virginia ran for two hundred and twenty
(40:36):
four yards on forty two carries. And they are a
threat in the ACC. So and Duke Darien Menson did
not throw an interception, but he was at about fifty
percent and they can't run the football over there at Duke,
so they couldn't today against Virginia. And Tony Elliott has
found a way to get this team going between Chandler
(40:58):
Morris and Trel Harris as their their their wide receiver
and Jamari Taylor they're running back. They had a field
day to day and this Virginia team is going to
go to the ACC Championship provided that they can win
their last game against Texas against Virginia Tech ACC Championship.
(41:21):
After Tony Elliott being on on the hot seat, I
love it, and Duke is sitting at five five and five.
Manny Diaz is their head coach, and I would expect
and now it feels on some level wrong to do this,
but Darien Mensa is a kid who is I think
(41:41):
now he has thirty touchdowns two interceptions on the season.
Well over you know, like at the three hundred three
thousand yards. How can we sit here and wonder and
if the four million dollar number is true at dude,
or if it's not whatever it is if fits a
lot of money, there's got to be somebody who is
(42:03):
in the National Championship conversation who's gonna be desperate for
that type of help and production. Somebody who's not going
to turn the ball over and throw the ball for
a lot of yards at a high level. So that
is something to watch as well. All Right, the next
game that we gotta go to. This was a game
that happened on Friday, and we did not talk about
(42:27):
it in the preview, but I wanted to give some
love to Dabbo Sweeney and Clemson who beat Louisville, who
was ranked twenty to nineteen. And yeah, Louisville didn't have
their main running back, Isaac Brown, who is out. But
I wanted to give credit to Dabo Sweeney because how
(42:47):
many times have we seen college football teams.
Speaker 2 (42:52):
Who are.
Speaker 1 (42:55):
Who season is air quot over right there, a season
is over, they don't have any hope of going to
the playoffs and everything else, and their teams just quit.
And you know whose team did not just quit? Dabbo swinging.
Dabbo swinging.
Speaker 2 (43:13):
So for all of this talk about is he a
good leader, should he be fired? All this stuff, He's.
Speaker 1 (43:19):
The exact kind of If he can get his team
to not quit when they are five and five at
this point in time in the season, that's a leader
of men.
Speaker 2 (43:32):
And this is the type of season that.
Speaker 1 (43:35):
Turns men into better fathers, better at their jobs, they
go into better football players, high character individuals, because they're
not quitters. So I gotta give that Dabbo credit for that,
even though we ain't gonna spend no time talking about
this football game because we don't need to spend no
time talking about this football game because this team is
(43:57):
not going to the college football playoffs.
Speaker 2 (43:59):
And you might be like, well, George, didn't you just
reinforce this point?
Speaker 1 (44:03):
Maybe, but but I had to give them credit in
the process. Anyway, all right, next game up Notre Dame,
because Notre Dame has kind of been a lightning rod
when it comes to college football playoff talk. People have
banged on their schedule, which is absolutely insane. You guys,
(44:25):
make sure that you would like subscribe, get notifications, and
tell a friend about the show. We passed twenty five
thousand subscribers and it is thanks to you, because the
best thing that you guys can do is continue to
share the program. I will keep showing up. I got
off a CW all day to day and you know,
(44:45):
doing the North Carolina Wake Forest Studio pregame, post behalftime, postgame.
Then we had the La Tech, you had the law
Tech Washington State game, and I'm still on here with
y'all because y'all are here with me, all right. So
(45:06):
Notre Dame pitt thirty five to fifteen.
Speaker 2 (45:11):
CJ.
Speaker 1 (45:12):
Carr, who is a quarterback, is one of the fifteen
quarterbacks that I believe that if you switch out, if
you switch out quarterback at Ohio State.
Speaker 2 (45:29):
With that, they.
Speaker 1 (45:30):
Would still be nine. And oh, if you switch Julian
saying out with CJ. Carr, They'll still be nine. And
oh and Notre Dame was playing against Mason Heitznell, who
is a young, hot shot quarterback, and they beat him
(45:53):
up today. They did so much so that Eli Holstein
ended up coming into the football game. But this was
Jeremiah Love's coming out party. That fifty six yard run
for a touchdown where he hit him with the juke
and then the spin move. It looked like a damn
video game. And this is why he is going to
(46:14):
be the first back taken in the NFL Draft. He
is an NFL special running back. He can catch the ball,
run the ball, all of those things. And this Notre
Dame team is now sitting at eight and two after
beating up Pitt. They got Sarahcustin Stanford left. They are
(46:36):
going to finish ten and two and go to the
college football Playoff. You can write it, write it down,
remember it. You can be mad at it or whatever
it is that you want. But that's not even what
I want to focus on this game for. I want
to focus on this game for Pitt's head coach, Pat Nrdouzi. Now,
(46:57):
I try to be a person who approaches things from
a place of love and talking about people the exact
same way that I would talk to my own kids,
and how I want my kids to talk to me well,
and how I want somebody to talk about my kids
(47:17):
when they're analyzing them and all this stuff. Pat Nardoozy,
who has been a good head coach, what he did
this week and what he said this week was gross.
It was disgusting, and it went against every piece of
competition that is in my body. Now, my son is
(47:40):
in the room here, Caden. If I think that you
do something soft or I think that you do something
whack or I think that you weren't competitive or something.
Speaker 2 (47:50):
Am I gonna say it to you? Yes?
Speaker 1 (47:52):
Okay, so Pat Nardoozy, I would say it to my
own kids, So I'm gonna.
Speaker 2 (47:56):
Say it to you.
Speaker 1 (47:57):
What you said this week about I don't don't care
if Notre Dame wins by one hundred points. All we're
worried about is the ACC. We got Georgia Tech in Miami.
That's why you lost this game because you started out soft.
You told your team that this game didn't even matter.
(48:18):
What's up with you?
Speaker 2 (48:19):
Bro? Pat Nordoozy? What is up with you?
Speaker 1 (48:25):
I can't, for the life of me figure out why
you would say that, why that is even in your heart.
I don't care if No Notre Dame wins this game
by one hundred parts. We're focused on the ACC what
So basically what you're saying is I'm trying to get
into the College Football Playoff, but it don't really matter
(48:46):
because we can't beat none of the teams in there anyway.
And game Yes and the comments I see you drix
mus and game day showed up for that man out
have canceled the damn Oh, he don't want us there,
No way, he don't want us there, He don't deserve
us there.
Speaker 2 (49:05):
Oh yuck, Oh god.
Speaker 1 (49:09):
That goes against everything in my college football court. It
goes against everything that I love. It is competition, It
is trying to win, It is trying to be great,
It is trying to be special. And I don't understand
why you wouldn't want that. Pat Nardoozi, I don't. I
(49:30):
don't understand somebody to come and say he has a
pre portal brain. He thinks he needs to take at
another tig to show he's a ma macho man.
Speaker 2 (49:46):
That was not it. That was not it at all.
Oh yuck.
Speaker 1 (49:51):
So we still got a few more games to cover.
Now I want to go back to a game that
happened on Friday, and this game was.
Speaker 2 (50:04):
Minnesota versus Oregon.
Speaker 1 (50:06):
Now I have a whole breakdown of this game on YouTube,
so I'm gonna cover it briefly because it matters in
terms of the national perspective about teams. Oregon took care
of business. It was forty two to forty two to thirteen.
They beat Minnesota up, they tied them up in the
(50:32):
run game, they tied them up in the past game.
And it is hard to look around the country and
find four or five teams that you could put that
you can honestly put ahead of Oregon Dante Moore twenty
(50:53):
seven for thirty three hundred and six yards multiple times,
excuse me, multiple touchdowns, and you know what he did
it with Evan Stewart.
Speaker 3 (51:02):
Out, Dacoryan Moore out, Gary Bryant out. They only have
four scholarship wide receivers that are healthy right now, and
you know what he did three twenty seven for thirty
for three hundred yards. Come on, man, come on, man,
(51:26):
step in, step into it, Step into it. Kenyon Sadik
came back eight for ninety six, Jamari Johnson Sally of PAGA,
Malik Benson, Jeremiah.
Speaker 1 (51:43):
McClelland they figured out a way to do it, and
the best pass defense in the nation did its thing.
Another pedestrian day, one hundred and thirty nine, one hundred
and thirty eight yards for Drake Lindsay a kid, watch
out for the portal because there's gonna be people after him,
and watch out for his head coach PJ.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
Fleck in the portal as well.
Speaker 1 (52:07):
That's gonna be Oh And on a side note, I
wanted to tell you, guys, watch Jake Dickard at Wake
Forest for some of these job openings. I know he's
only been there one year, but I would not be
surprised if you have Arkansas, Virginia Tech, even if Baylor
(52:28):
opens up and some of these other it you know,
trying to give him these jobs. Just Sam and and
people have questioned this Oregon team. The running game is good. No,
Noah Whittington is running like the rent is due. Jordan
(52:50):
Davidson excellent. Future is bright, dre Hill, future is bright.
You have a top ten offense and a top ten defense,
and people are wondering if this team can win a
national championship. Let's leave Ohio State out for a second. Indiana,
(53:18):
do they look like they can be beat? Yes, there
looks like there's a way to beat the Indiana. Does
Texas A and M look like they can be beat?
You saw that today against South Carolina, So imagine if
they fall behind against a good football team and Reid
has a blow up game again, which he probably will
or excuse me, not probably will, but he's capable of
(53:40):
Alabama they oh man, yeah, damn. They just lost their
second game today, so they're vulnerable Georgia. Damn they lost
to Alabama who lost to Florida State and then lost
today too to Oklahoma. Oklahoma, Damn they lost to Texas.
They they got two l's right now. Damn notre Day
(54:01):
they got too. Everybody is vulnerable people. The only people
that have not run into any adversity yet is Ohio State.
And I told y'all earlier I do have concerns about
this Ohio State team about when they run into adversity,
if they if the first time that they face some
(54:22):
adversity is when they get into the college football playoff,
boy Lord help them.
Speaker 2 (54:28):
It is going to be a problem.
Speaker 1 (54:31):
And speaking of that, let's go on and talk about Indiana,
because Indiana today people were reddy to talk about Indiana
struggling versus Wisconsin. What turns out that struggle was not
so struggling. Fernando Mendoza twenty two for twenty four, two
(54:54):
hundred and ninety nine.
Speaker 2 (54:56):
Yards, U was out.
Speaker 1 (55:01):
So Charlie Becker stepped up for the second week in
a row, five catches, one hundred and eight yards in
a touchdown. It is not Indiana's offense that is the
thing that should scare you to death. It is their defense. People,
This Indiana defense is elite. They held Wisconsin thirty carries,
(55:27):
seventy yards, no touchdowns. Carter Smith, their quarterback, got put
in a headlocked two nine for fifteen for ninety eight yards.
This defense is elite, elite, and the offense is efficient.
(55:47):
That's the thing I want you to see. This Indiana
offense is not their strength. They play off of efficiency.
If you can get them off schedule on first down,
you have as to beat them. Get them off schedule
on first down. You can beat Indiana.
Speaker 2 (56:07):
That's how to do it.
Speaker 1 (56:09):
Because if you get them into third and long and
you have some good pass rushers, you're going to have success.
Oregon has success against them in third and long. That's
why if Oregon plays Indiana again, Oregon would probably be
favored in the game and they should win that football game.
And you guys make sure that you guys like subscribe,
(56:29):
get notifications, tell a friend about the show, because we're
gonna keep growing past twenty five thousand thanks to y'all.
All right, Oh, I gotta give some credit. I gotta
give some flowers. Hey, Tennessee, good job, Cupcake, good job
you beating New Mexico State. Congratulations. Oh man, I'm so
(56:54):
proud of you Tennis. See Oh man, that good old
November cupcake. Oh so great. Oh and speaking of November cupcakes,
I want y'all to see this. I want y'all to
see this. While the SEC is gonna be talking about
how great they are, next week is the week that they.
Speaker 2 (57:15):
Are going to have their come up. Look at this.
Speaker 1 (57:19):
Look at this schedule for next week in the SEC. Yeah,
you got Arkansas, Texas School. You got Tennessee Florida. That
looks good.
Speaker 2 (57:28):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (57:29):
We got number three Texas A and m versus Samford
not not Stanford Samford. I think that's outside of Birmingham.
And then you got Missouri, Oklahoma, Okay, Conference Georgia, Charlotte,
What Eastern Illinois, Alabama, mercer Auburn, Kentucky, Vannerburgh Okay, Coastal Carolina,
(57:59):
South Caro, Western Kentucky, LSU.
Speaker 2 (58:04):
Look at that? Ain't that something?
Speaker 1 (58:07):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (58:08):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (58:08):
While the rest of the country, While Oregon is playing
usc oh Ohio State's playing another conference game at Rutgers,
b YU is playing Cincinnati, Utah is playing a conference game,
Miami's playing a conference game. Georgia Tech is playing a
conference game, Michigan's playing a car. All of these games
(58:32):
are possible to lose while the se oh, while Texas
saying them cupcake time with Sanford, come on, man, and
then they'll get an artificial boost up the rankings if
one of the teams loses in front of them. Good
(58:53):
job at SEC. Congratulations, congratulations, I'm so proud of you.
Say in the conference, Eastern Illinois got a college football team.
Speaker 2 (59:04):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (59:06):
Oh, when the SEC goes to nine conference games, welcome
to the big leagues, buddy, Welcome to the big leagues
when y'all go to nine conference games, because that's gonna
hurt a little bit, because look at these standings. Look
at these standings. After where we are tonight, let's go
(59:32):
to the SEC. You got the SEC here, you got
Texas A and M. Mind you, I want you to
look at this Texas A and M schedule. They have
not played a team. They have not played Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama,
Old miss Georgia, or that they have not played any
(59:55):
of those teams, any of those teams with numbers in
front of them, includon Tennessee. They have not played They've
played Missouri, USU, Kentucky, Florida, Mississippi State. Wait, actually no,
they didn't play Missippi State, but to South Carolina, Auburn, Arkansas.
That's what they got and they want us to believe
(01:00:16):
that that's the number three team in the nation. Who
have they played. They haven't played the same schedule as Bama.
They haven't played the same schedules as Georgia. Stop it already,
stop and stop and stop it.
Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
Now.
Speaker 1 (01:00:28):
Let's look at this CFP situation for a second, because
this is where things get a little bit tricky because
Alabama out of the four spot, who's going to replace them?
Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
Is the question. I think it should be Texas Tech.
Speaker 1 (01:00:50):
And then Georgia move up to number three and text
saying them fall back to number five, and then Oregon
move up to six. Old miss at seven. That's the
way that I would have it. But you know, uh,
they're gonna do what they gonna do. Oh yeah, good,
(01:01:13):
uh good up point uh oh and look look at
old missus schedule. Look at look at this doozy, Look
at this doozy. Hmmm, where are the ranked games? They
got one rank win over Oklahoma teams who are currently
(01:01:36):
ranked because LSU don't count. No more because if if,
if Penn State ain't gonna count for Oregon, LSU don't
count for Old Miss just tell you so, h hey man,
people don't pep. People don't like to hear the truth.
(01:01:58):
In twenty twenty five, yeah, uh yeah, So we'll see
all right. Uh, let's see what other games that we
had to cover this week. We still have a couple
(01:02:21):
games in action right now. Let's check to see what
we got going on with That was the TCU game
that was still going on.
Speaker 2 (01:02:38):
Oh, I don't mean.
Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
To do that. So we got TCU and BYU. BYU
is dominating that football game right now. Let's look at
the box score because I'm gonna turn it on and
watch it as soon as we get off. It is
thirty to thirteen TCU, Bachmeer. Nice job so far. They're
(01:03:03):
bottling up Josh Josh Hoover. BYU's running the football.
Speaker 2 (01:03:07):
Well.
Speaker 1 (01:03:10):
They're trying to stay alive in this college foot football playoff,
and the Big Twelve is probably going to get two
teams in. So hate to be the bear of bad
bad news if you don't care about them. The ACC
they still had a game going on late Oh, Florida
State won Okay, Mike Norvelle. They beat Virginia Tech with
(01:03:33):
no head coach. Okay, okay, Florida State ran for two
thirty seven three touchdowns. Yeah, but let's get back to
the things that actually matter. But you guys, though, so
this upcoming week we got big games. Well we have
some big games, but the biggest game of all is
(01:03:54):
the Oregon USC game. This is a game that is
a fight for the Big ten and then and their
second playoff playoff spots. And yes, and let me go
into comments and see what you guys have to say.
Ole Miss got some reugh help. Yes, yes they did, but.
Speaker 2 (01:04:14):
They weren't gonna win.
Speaker 1 (01:04:16):
I mean, DJ Lagway's not playing at a high level
right right now. And truthfully, whoever Florida's new head coach
is going to be first order of business, you either
have to do one of two things. You either have
to bring in competition for.
Speaker 2 (01:04:34):
DJ Lagway.
Speaker 1 (01:04:37):
Or you at like a true quarterback competition, or you
gotta let him let him go. Those are the only
two options because you cannot guarantee him to start. That
guarantee anybody a start is one hundred wrong. Dan Lanning
doesn't do it. Kirby smart.
Speaker 2 (01:04:54):
Don't do it. None of them don't do it. None
of the great coaches do it. And you can't do it.
Speaker 1 (01:04:58):
It would be a it's an awful way to do
things and a bad precedent. So let me see if
there's anything else that we need to cover before we get.
Speaker 2 (01:05:13):
Up out of here.
Speaker 1 (01:05:14):
You guys, if you guys have anything, drop it in
the chat and.
Speaker 2 (01:05:18):
I will address it before we get off. Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:05:22):
So somebody said, oh, so the Iowa USC game, we'll
we'll revisit that for a second, because we talked talked
about that early. I couldn't figure out what the hell
Iowa was doing. Why was Kirk Farrence and the opposite coordinator?
Why were they throwing the ball so much after the
(01:05:44):
first drive? I know they only finished with nineteen with
nineteen passing attempts, thirty something like thirty three rushing attempts,
But they let USC off the hook. They should have
been running the ball at them constantly. They were having
success almost five yards to carry.
Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
What are you doing? What are you doing?
Speaker 1 (01:06:09):
And and Granowski it's a nice story, it's a cute story.
The kid can't throw the football at a high enough
level for Iowa to be able to win. I'm sorry,
I Iowa fans. I know that you like him. I
know he's tough, I know he's gritty and he's a warrior,
but there comes a time that you got to be
(01:06:29):
able to produce it just is I'm a truck Okay,
another comment, I'm a trojan. So I hope we win,
but I also hope that there's a way that we
both get in at ten and two. Need the West
well well represented in the playoffs. I get I on,
(01:06:50):
hear you.
Speaker 2 (01:06:51):
I do.
Speaker 1 (01:06:55):
So here's the here's the separate Like I'm gonna answer
this question and answer this comment twofold one. As an
Oregon alum, I do not want USC to win this
football game. I'm gonna tell you this right now that
that is bad for recruiting.
Speaker 2 (01:07:12):
They get bragging rights.
Speaker 1 (01:07:14):
Terrell Thomas, who I see all the time, is gonna
be talking trash me. I don't want no part of that. Okay,
that's first part. Second part is if there is a
way if I knew that USC and Oregon would both
get into the college football playoffs, if that happened, I
(01:07:38):
would feel a little bit better about it.
Speaker 2 (01:07:41):
I would feel a little.
Speaker 1 (01:07:43):
Bit better about it. So yeah, that's so. That's the
best way I can put it. Yeah, I don't like it.
I don't like it, but you know, we don't always
get the things that we like in life. But you guys,
though I listen, I appreciate your time, I appreciate your energy.
(01:08:03):
I have been tired, but y'all showed up for me.
Y'all showed up in the in the in the live
stream the night. Y'all showed up last night. Y'all have
gotten us to twenty five thousand followers subscribers on YouTube.
Thank you guys for being one of us. So when
I'm gonna start using the hashtag one of us or
(01:08:26):
just saying one of us more because it's unafraid show
us and you guys are one of us. That means
the people who love college football, the people who are
committed to it, the people who are are showing up.
Because y'all keep showing up, I'll keep showing up, and
I thank you for it. Seems last coming I'm gonna
(01:08:49):
get to seems like the CFP committee was looking for
a way to box Oregon out of the playoff, even
if they're tending.
Speaker 2 (01:08:54):
To oh yes, yes, yes, yes, yes yes, one hundred percent.
Speaker 1 (01:08:58):
But it's gonna be a have to do that now
when when the SEC keeps doing their thing. Because if
text A and M had lost today, Lord have mercy,
because it would have been an unranked team. It would
have been super ugly, super ugly. But yeah, but that's
(01:09:20):
where we're at. You guys, love your shows, man, keep
up the great work.
Speaker 2 (01:09:26):
Man. I listen. I appreciate y'all. I can't even tell you.
Speaker 1 (01:09:31):
It almost bring brings me to tears because and and
here's a little quick preview. So I told you guys
a couple of weeks ago, I'm writing a book about
my life. I was a kid who stuttered really really badly.
The name of the book is going to be called
stutter Box. Just spit it out already, because that's what
(01:09:52):
people used to tell me. And then it turned out
that the thing that I thought was a detriment and
that nobody he wanted because I stuttered and my voice,
And it turns out people like my voice on radio,
on TV and everything else. And I appreciate, man. I
(01:10:12):
can't even tell you. As a kid who couldn't get
stuff out, who couldn't communicate, people didn't think was smart.
People didn't want to listen to everything like that. To
be on television on the CW, to be having my
own radio show, solo radio show on Mad Dog for
(01:10:33):
four years, being on FS one, and everything else, what
man dreams come true?
Speaker 2 (01:10:42):
God is real.
Speaker 1 (01:10:43):
And I just don't even know what else to say,
but but y'all the real MVPs man. Thank you guys.
Keep sharing, Please keep sharing so we can keep growing.
And I'm going to figure out what I can do
for y'all for the twenty five thousand subscribers, something big,
because it came up even faster than I thought it
was gonna come up.
Speaker 2 (01:11:03):
And as of.
Speaker 1 (01:11:04):
