About Mr. Jim:

Hi! I'm Jim Jacob, a South Carolina based creator. I started as a podcaster by accident. Our first real episodes on the internet were me trying to find a solution to help tell my sons stories as I was traveling for work. I recorded some stories and hoped that by uploading them to a podcast app, my wife and kids could have easy access to listen. What started as a fix for our family’s bedtime routine interruption has grown into a worldwide audience with hundreds of thousands of listeners. My wife Jocelyn and I have 3 kids and love inspiring others towards greater imagination and curiosity.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hello friends, it's mister Jim and welcome back to Kids
Animal Stories. Today's story it comes from Selah. Hey Selah,
and I'm so excited for today's kids Animal story because
we are going into the world of unicorns. Woo. Do
you love unicorns as much as Selah does. I don't know.

(00:26):
She loves them quite a bit. Well, are you guys
ready for today's adventure? Me too, Let's go. It was
a beautiful morning and Silah the unicorn was just waking up.

(00:49):
Today was a very big day. It's today the day,
she said. She ran over to the calendar and looked, Yes,
today is my rainbow day. You see, all unicorns they
have different jobs. Some of them make cotton candy. Yeah,

(01:12):
did you know that unicorns make cotton candy? Oh, it's
so good. And others some make dreams come true and
others just fly around and look awesome. Well, some unicorns
have a very special job. Their job is to come
out during a rainstorm, only some rainstorms, when it's a

(01:34):
very special time, and they paint a rainbow across the sky. Well,
you see, Seila, she had always dreamed of becoming a
rainbow unicorn, and today was her first day. Oh boy,
I gotta get ready. Sailah raced around and grabbed all

(01:55):
of her things and was running out the door. As
she was, she was also very nervous. Wait, why do
you think she would be nervous about something that she'd
really wanted to do. Well, you see, she had never
done it before. She was a little nervous about making
a mistake. And oh, she didn't want a rainbow painted

(02:20):
across the sky backwards, or or just the wrong colors
or oh no, she had to get it right. As
Saila raced out the door, she started to fly towards
the mountain. Yes, you see, there was a special mountain
far far away that had all of the magical paint

(02:43):
that she needed to use to paint the rainbow across
the sky. You see, doesn't that make sense? You would
need some special paint to paint a rainbow in the sky, right, Yeah,
you probably couldn't use the paint that we use for
paper because it would just fall out of the sky.
But there is a magical paint that is on this

(03:05):
island guarded by mister squeaky pants. And mister squeaky pants
he had to make sure that only the right creatures
rainbow unicorns got this paint. As she flew off towards
the mountain, her mind started to race. Oh boy, this
is gonna be the best day. Well, I hope it's

(03:27):
the best day ever. I just really don't want to
make any mistakes painting my rainbow. While she was flying
in the sky, she flew next to a flock of ducks.
Wak wa whack. As they flew past, they quacked away.
I don't know if these ducks had ever seen a
flying unicorn before, so they were very distracted. Wha wha,

(03:50):
wha wha. Oh hello, ducks, whack, where are you going? Oh?
I am going to this magical mountain with some special paint.
But it's kind of a secret, so I can't talk
about it, said Selah. I don't know what they said,

(04:10):
but I think they wished her good luck. As Selah
continued flying in the opposite direction that the ducks were
flying away from, it became obvious why the ducks had
all been flying away. There was a big storm up
ahead with very big dark clouds. But Seila she did

(04:32):
not want to be late for her appointment, and so
she kept flying. Whoa, these winds are getting pretty intense,
she said. As she was flying through the air, she
had to use all of her muscles because the wind
was trying to blow her in the opposite direction. She
thought for a second that maybe she should land and

(04:54):
wait for a safer time, but she did not want
to be late. She continued to fly as hard as
he could, but the storm was too strong. Pretty soon,
a big gust of wind came out of nowhere and
blew her and she started to spin and spin and

(05:16):
fall fall to the ground. She fell. Oh no, Selah.
As Sela fell to the ground, she fell asleep. Wow,
it sounds like she probably should have stopped along the
way before that storm blew her out of the sky.
Have you ever been worried about, you know, trying something

(05:38):
for the first time and you don't want to mess
it up or be later. Yeah. I think Sela is
really concerned about that. And it is good to want
to try and do your best on the first time
you tried something, but you can't let it blow you
out of the sky in the middle of a giant
storm like Selah did. Oh no, oh, what in the

(06:01):
world is going to happen? Well, I guess we'll have
to wait and see what happens on the next story
of Saila the Rainbow Unicorn the End. Great job, friends,

(06:22):
you listened all the way to the end, and I
want to make sure that right now that you click
