locker room and team against the front office. And so
will the Houston Texas budge and say okay, well, at
least start to listen to offers for the Shaun Watson.

Are they just gonna stay planted? No, you're not going
anywhere you play for a you played for nobody. This
has been my my opinion and my assumption when I
look at how the NFL handles things with players and contracts,
it's very different than other sports because the contracts aren't guaranteed.

And if you understand what took place with Ezekiel Elliott,
for example, last year, he comes in after holding out
those penalties, and this was made made clear by Chris Brussarry.
I don't want to take the credit for it, but
I listened um those penalties and fines were forgiven. So
there's gonna be a no forgive, no forgive rule that's

now in the new UH agreement. And so if he
were to decide to sit out, he's going to lose
that money and that's not gonna get forgiven. He's gonna
have to lose that money and and pay that money. Then, secondly,
if he were to continue to sit out, they could
go after a large, large, large part of his signing bonus. So,

in other words, it would basically wipe out the crazy
big contract. So are you saying he should go in
and his back starts to hurt. Well, here's what Here's
what I'm saying. Here, here's what I'm saying. You gotta
be very very strategically sound and smart on how you
play this, because if you play this game of chicken

and it leads all the way into like I don't
look at the preseason, the preseason, I think they say
he would lose up the three million dollars if he
sat out the preseason, do it. But if he sits
out and it carries over into the regular season, people
now you're talking about, they're able to go after the
entire contract. If you lose that contract guys, y'all tell

me what are we doing as players to ward they
can agree to have the fines that you would incur.
What what are we doing is players to say? Now
the owners can no longer forgive that, like, what are
we doing? What We've been speaking on this for the
last few weeks, and I've been saying that, listen, this

is a bad situation that's getting worse. David Color took
this job understanding that de Shaun wants to be the quarterback.
I said, DeShawn Wasson needs to go into the office,
sit down and speak with David David Color and maybe
he'll have a change of heart. That didn't happen. And
what what these players have to understand in the NFL

is that far as Deshn Washington trying to get out
of in a situation, he has no leverage to get
out of Houston. Contrastually, it's not gonna happen. They do
not have to trade him, Listen. He's an elite quarterback.
He can't afford to sit out and sit out a
whole full season just to prove a point. You can't

miss a season as an elite quarterback and expect to
come back the following year and expect to be as
great as you are. Houston does not have to give
him what he wants. And that's what that's that's what
they has to understand. It's totally different from the NBA.
James Harden wanted to get out of Houston. He wanted

to get out of Houston. They getting what he wanted. Oh, James,
James Harden is a selfish player. He goes out of
scores points. Now they're talking about the Nets are going
to win the world. No, No, plax plex Ken Deashaun Watson.
Show up and be the guy that they don't want

that chooses not to show up and play to try
to prove his point. I believe in the long run,
all he is doing is hurting himself. If he shows up,
does he act like a professional or does he forced
his way out by show up. You gotta go out
and give everything that you got for for your teammates

and earn their respect and show them that that you
are with them and you want to play football anywhere.
But that's what Houston is banking on. I mean, think
about this right there, thinking that if we hold steady
and say we're not getting rid of him. We're not
trading him. We're not getting rid of you. Deshaun. You're
gonna come here and you're gonna play, or you're just
not gonna play at all. If he comes there, they're

banking on the fact that his disgruntled, upset, uncomfortable way
of feeling is still going to be better than the
person that they bring in to replace the Shaun Watson.
So even if he is disrupting, he has to show up.
Even if he's disruptive on the field, t J, they're
still banking on the fact that he's going to be
good enough at that point. Then what the other person

that they trying to bring into replace it. You got
to show up and making a problem. I'm always siding
with the player. But if he takes the option to
not show up and to hold out and say, you
know what, this is my stance. I don't want to
be in Houston. I don't I don't, I don't want
to play here, it's only going to get worse for

him that there's nothing good that comes out of the situation. Yeah,
if you choose to sit out there, there's nothing good.
There's something great. Listen, you show up. Plex We but
we all noticed. You show up like I was a
firm believer in Levian Bell showing up for you, You
just know anybody else Bell was under a franchise tag.

This man is under a contract. And because you're under
a point no, it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter, it
doesn't matter. You show up. Plex you show up and
you don't do anything, they can't suspend. They can in
turn suspend your friend subordination. But if you show up
and say my back hurts, they can't force you to
do anything. They know exactly what you're doing. They know

How long can you run that though? As long as

to practice and you're working your tail off Monday through Friday,
and you know this man showing up the work and
you knowing that he just ain't know what. I'm not
gonna participate with you got and you know I'm showing up.
I'm here, but I don't want to play. How how
do you? How do you look at him? Because I

don't do that, don't know. Maybe I'm crazy then, but
everybody knows he doesn't want to be there. You empathize
with the player because you I told you I don't
want to be here, and you're forcing me to be here.
This is my only recourse. This is all I can do.
You are failing to understand that we are empathizing with

him because we are with him the player. But what
I'm saying is his contract would not let him leave
unless Houston decides to trade. That's my that's my point.
You come in and they're not gonna pay you the
amount of money they're gonna pay him and he's not participating. Now,

You will be fine and find heavily. You don't just
give your money away. You make your money and force them.
Be fine, but you will find yourself in a situation
where they're coming after your contract. They're gonna take that,

contract as large as the Shaun Watson guy and negotiated

He's looking his future. He wants to go down. Can't

up to the locker room and to the facility every

kinds of different things is all relatable to what takes
place in in the entertainment industry. And when you think

when you think about guys who have transcended, you know,
in the game, and you think AI, you think of
like Mike Vick. But when it comes down to like
people within the rap game, you're the name that comes
up as an influential, influential person for the entire generation
that's taking place right now. Was that a plan or

did it just happen? I wouldn't. I wouldn't say it
was a plan. How I would honesty, It's just it's
a blessing, honest way, little bar That's what it really is.
It's a blessing. It's just, um, you know, I'm consistent, man,
just consistent. And I think they last onto of just

You know what, what was your take on it? Is
it more personal when you look at or is it
just business related? I've always I have I have my

The athletes are fascinated with our culture. Let's try to
merge both of them. And what made you want to
start Young Money Sports? Because once you did that, as
you can see, there's other rappers. Are we gonna try
to start our own company? And men? Mcwayne, what made

you want to get involved with that? Two people? Uh?
Sugar Slim, that's Baby's older brother, Slim. He was always
you know, he's living died sports just like me. And
that's that's a that's another part where I get a
lot of that sports, Um, a lot of a lot
of them for a lot of knowledge from just from
touring so long. I always wrote on Slim's bus and

Slim Slim is the older brother, so he always had
older guys on his bus. So I just was with
all the old hands along for you know, four hours
and hours on that bus. And so he thought he
always was. He always wanted to do that, he always
and he always did it, but on his own, meaning
he kind of did it with Stunn. The baby wasn't
really you know, baby ain't really messed with it with
him because the baby was more focused on the music.

And it was also something personal that Slim was doing
with the with the agency thing. So I always I
always loved the fact that he did it with that
said like he'd been it was so long ago, bro,
he was doing it. I always tell the story he
was doing it. Brother. I remember I did a show
in Cleveland. He was he my phone. He was like, yo, wine,
I got this little athlete down in Cleveland. He won't

was like, it's all good if I let him come
to your show, Like just stept way down, pull up
to the hotel way downstairs, prices where we took like
three hours to come downstairs. But the dude stayed downstairs.

And other than that, master Peace I watched. Master Peace
was always into sports. He was always and what he did,
what he did, what that guy from him was. It
was always helpful from him. He didn't care what you know,

working young money and they're fantastic. They used to represent me,

have some fantastic agents working with young money. I who

everybody's day one. But right now I think I have

just become an artist and they don't how to read music,

About the concerts, White, Like when when you're doing all
of these compilations and doing dropping these these albums and
creating these these projects, how does that work in COVID
Like this whole brave new world? Is it gonna be zoom? Uh? Concerts?

Like how how how are you going to manage that? Like?
How does that look in terms of for your fan base?
So for me an artists like me and artists first
of all, and artists like me, my performance, my shows,
they sow they mean so much to my career. You know,
they got a lot of artists they had that there's
other artists was totally opposite their music. There what they

put out with their their songs, and that that's them.
That means you know what I mean, that's the that's
their base of their career for me, my performances, my show.
I'm that guy that come out there with old hype. Man,
I'm that guy and killing for a two hours straight.
So it's hurting me right now. But as far as
I've been seeing, I've been seeing people, you know, doing

some certain ideas for shows and things like that. But
as far as working though, I've been Man, I've been
quarantined way before COVID. When it comes to earth. All
I do is I wouldn't come and go straight to
the studio. That's all I do. Anybody, anybody that knows you,
anybody that know let's tell you that, man, I don't
do nothing but go to the studio and come home

and go to the studio and come home and go
to the studio. A lot of people listen to your music.
You sold over a hundred twenty million records worldwide, and
this is this might be a hard question. Everybody has
a favorite song. What's your favorite song that you've made.
My favorite song is the one I recorded last night

title yet? Of course it's called rocket Fire. Rocket Fire, Yeah,

locker room and team against the front office. And so
will the Houston Texas budge and say okay, well, at
least start to listen to offers for the Shaun Watson.

Are they just gonna stay planted? No, you're not going
anywhere you play for a you played for nobody. This
has been my my opinion and my assumption when I
look at how the NFL handles things with players and contracts,
it's very different than other sports because the contracts aren't guaranteed.

And if you understand what took place with Ezekiel Elliott,
for example, last year, he comes in after holding out
those penalties, and this was made made clear by Chris Brussarry.
I don't want to take the credit for it, but
I listened um those penalties and fines were forgiven. So
there's gonna be a no forgive, no forgive rule that's
(02:38):
now in the new UH agreement. And so if he
were to decide to sit out, he's going to lose
that money and that's not gonna get forgiven. He's gonna
have to lose that money and and pay that money. Then, secondly,
if he were to continue to sit out, they could
go after a large, large, large part of his signing bonus. So,
(02:58):
in other words, it would basically wipe out the crazy
big contract. So are you saying he should go in
and his back starts to hurt. Well, here's what Here's
what I'm saying. Here, here's what I'm saying. You gotta
be very very strategically sound and smart on how you
play this, because if you play this game of chicken

and it leads all the way into like I don't
look at the preseason, the preseason, I think they say
he would lose up the three million dollars if he
sat out the preseason, do it. But if he sits
out and it carries over into the regular season, people
now you're talking about, they're able to go after the
entire contract. If you lose that contract guys, y'all tell

me what are we doing as players to ward they
can agree to have the fines that you would incur.
What what are we doing is players to say? Now
the owners can no longer forgive that, like, what are
we doing? What We've been speaking on this for the
last few weeks, and I've been saying that, listen, this

is a bad situation that's getting worse. David Color took
this job understanding that de Shaun wants to be the quarterback.
I said, DeShawn Wasson needs to go into the office,
sit down and speak with David David Color and maybe
he'll have a change of heart. That didn't happen. And
what what these players have to understand in the NFL

is that far as Deshn Washington trying to get out
of in a situation, he has no leverage to get
out of Houston. Contrastually, it's not gonna happen. They do
not have to trade him, Listen. He's an elite quarterback.
He can't afford to sit out and sit out a
whole full season just to prove a point. You can't

miss a season as an elite quarterback and expect to
come back the following year and expect to be as
great as you are. Houston does not have to give
him what he wants. And that's what that's that's what
they has to understand. It's totally different from the NBA.
James Harden wanted to get out of Houston. He wanted

to get out of Houston. They getting what he wanted. Oh, James,
James Harden is a selfish player. He goes out of
scores points. Now they're talking about the Nets are going
to win the world. No, No, plax plex Ken Deashaun Watson.
Show up and be the guy that they don't want

that chooses not to show up and play to try
to prove his point. I believe in the long run,
all he is doing is hurting himself. If he shows up,
does he act like a professional or does he forced
his way out by show up. You gotta go out
and give everything that you got for for your teammates

and earn their respect and show them that that you
are with them and you want to play football anywhere.
But that's what Houston is banking on. I mean, think
about this right there, thinking that if we hold steady
and say we're not getting rid of him. We're not
trading him. We're not getting rid of you. Deshaun. You're
gonna come here and you're gonna play, or you're just
not gonna play at all. If he comes there, they're

banking on the fact that his disgruntled, upset, uncomfortable way
of feeling is still going to be better than the
person that they bring in to replace the Shaun Watson.
So even if he is disrupting, he has to show up.
Even if he's disruptive on the field, t J, they're
still banking on the fact that he's going to be
good enough at that point. Then what the other person

that they trying to bring into replace it. You got
to show up and making a problem. I'm always siding
with the player. But if he takes the option to
not show up and to hold out and say, you
know what, this is my stance. I don't want to
be in Houston. I don't I don't, I don't want
to play here, it's only going to get worse for

him that there's nothing good that comes out of the situation. Yeah,
if you choose to sit out there, there's nothing good.
There's something great. Listen, you show up. Plex We but
we all noticed. You show up like I was a
firm believer in Levian Bell showing up for you, You
just know anybody else Bell was under a franchise tag.

This man is under a contract. And because you're under
a point no, it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter, it
doesn't matter. You show up. Plex you show up and
you don't do anything, they can't suspend. They can in
turn suspend your friend subordination. But if you show up
and say my back hurts, they can't force you to
do anything. They know exactly what you're doing. They know

exactly what you're doing. How many times? How many times
have you got there like, oh man, I don't see nothing, Well,
my back hurts, my back is my my shoulder hurt?
How long can you run that though? As long as
you and as long as they tell they that's what
you do. Here's the problem with that. The problem with
that is that you're going to destroy your credibility to

be able. But you're not destroying any You're not destroying
anything because everybody knows what you're doing. You I told
you I want out. You're not gonna let me out.
This is what I'm gonna do to get out. So
trade me, and I'm a serious So speaking from a
wide receiver a perspective, you know you have an elite
quarterback and you know Wide received you, and you're going

to practice and you're working your tail off Monday through Friday,
and you know this man showing up the work and
you knowing that he just ain't know what. I'm not
gonna participate with you got and you know I'm showing up.
I'm here, but I don't want to play. How how
do you? How do you look at him? Because I
know I know, I know why. I don't know you

don't do that, don't know. Maybe I'm crazy then, but
everybody knows he doesn't want to be there. You empathize
with the player because you I told you I don't
want to be here, and you're forcing me to be here.
This is my only recourse. This is all I can do.
You are failing to understand that we are empathizing with

him because we are with him the player. But what
I'm saying is his contract would not let him leave
unless Houston decides to trade. That's my that's my point.
You come in and they're not gonna pay you the
amount of money they're gonna pay him and he's not participating. Now,

give your money away. You make your money and force them.

up as an influential, influential person for the entire generation
that's taking place right now. Was that a plan or

was a plan. How I would honesty, It's just it's
a blessing, honest way, little bar That's what it really is.

The athletes are fascinated with our culture. Let's try to
merge both of them. And what made you want to
start Young Money Sports? Because once you did that, as
you can see, there's other rappers. Are we gonna try
to start our own company? And men? Mcwayne, what made

you want to get involved with that? Two people? Uh?
Sugar Slim, that's Baby's older brother, Slim. He was always
you know, he's living died sports just like me. And
that's that's a that's another part where I get a
lot of that sports, Um, a lot of a lot
of them for a lot of knowledge from just from
touring so long. I always wrote on Slim's bus and

Slim Slim is the older brother, so he always had
older guys on his bus. So I just was with
all the old hands along for you know, four hours
and hours on that bus. And so he thought he
always was. He always wanted to do that, he always
and he always did it, but on his own, meaning
he kind of did it with Stunn. The baby wasn't
really you know, baby ain't really messed with it with
him because the baby was more focused on the music.

And it was also something personal that Slim was doing
with the with the agency thing. So I always I
always loved the fact that he did it with that
said like he'd been it was so long ago, bro,
he was doing it. I always tell the story he
was doing it. Brother. I remember I did a show
in Cleveland. He was he my phone. He was like, yo, wine,
I got this little athlete down in Cleveland. He won't

come to your show. It's like it's all good. It
was like, it's all good if I let him come
to your show, Like just stept way down, pull up
to the hotel way downstairs, prices where we took like
three hours to come downstairs. But the dude stayed downstairs.
Guess what it was three hours? Three hours, oh man.

And other than that, master Peace I watched. Master Peace
was always into sports. He was always and what he did,
what he did, what that guy from him was. It
was always helpful from him. He didn't care what you know,
it didn't seem like he cared if his his agency
or whatever whatever his name was out. He did it

for It was like he was always for the athlete,
you know what I mean. He was It was always
for the athlete. He was gonna bend over back with
a thousand sounds for the athlete to make it, make
it the most. So when I got, like I said,
those two people, I took it into took it into
consideration the fact that I love of sports, and you
know what I mean, I knew for a fact that
if I got into it, it it was gonna be genuine.
So well, I will say this, I know agents that

working young money and they're fantastic. They used to represent me,
my best agents. I had just f y I shout out,

have some fantastic agents working with young money. I who

just become an artist and they don't how to read music,
and then's some of the best best music that you

I don't know how to read music at all. And
I played a guitars well, but I was taught. I

I got new artists comments everybody, I mean if they know,
maybe they post, we post a lot of the new artists.
But you're about to put the compilation together with all

that that sets up everything for everybody. So they could
start coming out with they solo projects as well. Well?
About the concerts, White, Like when when you're doing all
of these compilations and doing dropping these these albums and
creating these these projects, how does that work in COVID
Like this whole brave new world? Is it gonna be zoom? Uh? Concerts?

Like how how how are you going to manage that? Like?
How does that look in terms of for your fan base?
So for me an artists like me and artists first
of all, and artists like me, my performance, my shows,
they sow they mean so much to my career. You know,
they got a lot of artists they had that there's
other artists was totally opposite their music. There what they

put out with their their songs, and that that's them.
That means you know what I mean, that's the that's
their base of their career for me, my performances, my show.
I'm that guy that come out there with old hype. Man,
I'm that guy and killing for a two hours straight.
So it's hurting me right now. But as far as
I've been seeing, I've been seeing people, you know, doing

some certain ideas for shows and things like that. But
as far as working though, I've been Man, I've been
quarantined way before COVID. When it comes to earth. All
I do is I wouldn't come and go straight to
the studio. That's all I do. Anybody, anybody that knows you,
anybody that know let's tell you that, man, I don't
do nothing but go to the studio and come home

and go to the studio and come home and go
to the studio. A lot of people listen to your music.
You sold over a hundred twenty million records worldwide, and
this is this might be a hard question. Everybody has
a favorite song. What's your favorite song that you've made.

But the evolution of music, you know, you know, it's

just went to a hole on the platform. So you know,
the evolution is just you and keeping up and being
in the game with twenty years now. Yeah, just tell
us about the evolution man, and remaining relative and the
creativity of just you know, being Wayne. Confidence, confidence, but

confidence and belief in yourself first of all, and everything
you know, I mean confidence and belief in yourself, and
and to and first and for them started first and
foremost humble man, and gratefulness. Man, I'm so grateful. I'm
I wake up every day and I can't believe I

that day, I can't believe it was actually accomplishing. I've

probably been doing it every day in my life, and

you gotta be grateful. And then and then I mean consistent.
I already said that earlier. Consistent And then um, like
I was saying when I said, I don't listen to
a lot of people, I stay in my own world.

of the world is my validation because I don't because

I don't hear what everybody else is here, and I
don't do what everybody else is doing. So the moment
I feel like it ain't being felt, that's when I know, okay,

back back in Penn State, I hung out in Chicago
