Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's you want NFL experience, then this is the show
for you. This is It's Up on Game with Lavarrei,
Te t J Houshmnzana and Plaxico Burress. Did you hear that?
LaVar Arrington, t J. Houds, Menzata, Plexico birth It's a
(00:22):
show with three of the best to ever do it
on and off the field, live from the Geico Fox
Sports Radio Studios. And now here's pro Bowlers Lavarrei, Te
t J Houshmanzana and super bowled Chiffi and Plaxico burres Man.
Welcome back to Up on Game, Lafar Arrington, Plexico Births,
(00:43):
t J. Houschmanzada. We're broadcast allowed from the Farmer's Assurance
Fox Sports Radio Studio. Call farmers to switch in CA.
Say an average of four seven dollars on auto interns.
That's a lot of money for Quickball League average nationwide
annual SATAN survey that in July to December. So as
(01:10):
we get into the second hour, we'll have little Wayne
with a shortly and let's talk a little football. We
we haven't discussed of a ton um kind of glossed
over the little bit the Russell Wilson situation, the Shaun
Watching situation, which is that's gonna get ugly. In my opinion,
you look at it, and he's unhappy, he does not
(01:32):
want to be in Houston, and they seem to be
willing to bite the bullet fight that battle, and I
don't know if that's a good battle of the wage
with a young quarterback. That could literally turn the entire
locker room and team against the front office. And so
will the Houston Texas budge and say okay, well, at
least start to listen to offers for the Shaun Watson.
(01:55):
Are they just gonna stay planted? No, you're not going
anywhere you play for a you played for nobody. This
has been my my opinion and my assumption when I
look at how the NFL handles things with players and contracts,
it's very different than other sports because the contracts aren't guaranteed.
(02:18):
And if you understand what took place with Ezekiel Elliott,
for example, last year, he comes in after holding out
those penalties, and this was made made clear by Chris Brussarry.
I don't want to take the credit for it, but
I listened um those penalties and fines were forgiven. So
there's gonna be a no forgive, no forgive rule that's
(02:38):
now in the new UH agreement. And so if he
were to decide to sit out, he's going to lose
that money and that's not gonna get forgiven. He's gonna
have to lose that money and and pay that money. Then, secondly,
if he were to continue to sit out, they could
go after a large, large, large part of his signing bonus. So,
(02:58):
in other words, it would basically wipe out the crazy
big contract. So are you saying he should go in
and his back starts to hurt. Well, here's what Here's
what I'm saying. Here, here's what I'm saying. You gotta
be very very strategically sound and smart on how you
play this, because if you play this game of chicken
(03:21):
and it leads all the way into like I don't
look at the preseason, the preseason, I think they say
he would lose up the three million dollars if he
sat out the preseason, do it. But if he sits
out and it carries over into the regular season, people
now you're talking about, they're able to go after the
entire contract. If you lose that contract guys, y'all tell
(03:46):
me what are we doing as players to ward they
can agree to have the fines that you would incur.
What what are we doing is players to say? Now
the owners can no longer forgive that, like, what are
we doing? What We've been speaking on this for the
last few weeks, and I've been saying that, listen, this
(04:07):
is a bad situation that's getting worse. David Color took
this job understanding that de Shaun wants to be the quarterback.
I said, DeShawn Wasson needs to go into the office,
sit down and speak with David David Color and maybe
he'll have a change of heart. That didn't happen. And
what what these players have to understand in the NFL
(04:28):
is that far as Deshn Washington trying to get out
of in a situation, he has no leverage to get
out of Houston. Contrastually, it's not gonna happen. They do
not have to trade him, Listen. He's an elite quarterback.
He can't afford to sit out and sit out a
whole full season just to prove a point. You can't
(04:50):
miss a season as an elite quarterback and expect to
come back the following year and expect to be as
great as you are. Houston does not have to give
him what he wants. And that's what that's that's what
they has to understand. It's totally different from the NBA.
James Harden wanted to get out of Houston. He wanted
(05:12):
to get out of Houston. They getting what he wanted. Oh, James,
James Harden is a selfish player. He goes out of
scores points. Now they're talking about the Nets are going
to win the world. No, No, plax plex Ken Deashaun Watson.
Show up and be the guy that they don't want
(05:33):
that chooses not to show up and play to try
to prove his point. I believe in the long run,
all he is doing is hurting himself. If he shows up,
does he act like a professional or does he forced
his way out by show up. You gotta go out
and give everything that you got for for your teammates
(05:56):
and earn their respect and show them that that you
are with them and you want to play football anywhere.
But that's what Houston is banking on. I mean, think
about this right there, thinking that if we hold steady
and say we're not getting rid of him. We're not
trading him. We're not getting rid of you. Deshaun. You're
gonna come here and you're gonna play, or you're just
not gonna play at all. If he comes there, they're
(06:17):
banking on the fact that his disgruntled, upset, uncomfortable way
of feeling is still going to be better than the
person that they bring in to replace the Shaun Watson.
So even if he is disrupting, he has to show up.
Even if he's disruptive on the field, t J, they're
still banking on the fact that he's going to be
good enough at that point. Then what the other person
(06:40):
that they trying to bring into replace it. You got
to show up and making a problem. I'm always siding
with the player. But if he takes the option to
not show up and to hold out and say, you
know what, this is my stance. I don't want to
be in Houston. I don't I don't, I don't want
to play here, it's only going to get worse for
(07:02):
him that there's nothing good that comes out of the situation. Yeah,
if you choose to sit out there, there's nothing good.
There's something great. Listen, you show up. Plex We but
we all noticed. You show up like I was a
firm believer in Levian Bell showing up for you, You
just know anybody else Bell was under a franchise tag.
(07:22):
This man is under a contract. And because you're under
a point no, it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter, it
doesn't matter. You show up. Plex you show up and
you don't do anything, they can't suspend. They can in
turn suspend your friend subordination. But if you show up
and say my back hurts, they can't force you to
do anything. They know exactly what you're doing. They know
(07:45):
exactly what you're doing. How many times? How many times
have you got there like, oh man, I don't see nothing, Well,
my back hurts, my back is my my shoulder hurt?
How long can you run that though? As long as
you and as long as they tell they that's what
you do. Here's the problem with that. The problem with
that is that you're going to destroy your credibility to
(08:06):
be able. But you're not destroying any You're not destroying
anything because everybody knows what you're doing. You I told
you I want out. You're not gonna let me out.
This is what I'm gonna do to get out. So
trade me, and I'm a serious So speaking from a
wide receiver a perspective, you know you have an elite
quarterback and you know Wide received you, and you're going
(08:29):
to practice and you're working your tail off Monday through Friday,
and you know this man showing up the work and
you knowing that he just ain't know what. I'm not
gonna participate with you got and you know I'm showing up.
I'm here, but I don't want to play. How how
do you? How do you look at him? Because I
know I know, I know why. I don't know you
(08:50):
don't do that, don't know. Maybe I'm crazy then, but
everybody knows he doesn't want to be there. You empathize
with the player because you I told you I don't
want to be here, and you're forcing me to be here.
This is my only recourse. This is all I can do.
You are failing to understand that we are empathizing with
(09:13):
him because we are with him the player. But what
I'm saying is his contract would not let him leave
unless Houston decides to trade. That's my that's my point.
You come in and they're not gonna pay you the
amount of money they're gonna pay him and he's not participating. Now,
(09:34):
you don't show up. It's what Leavar just said earlier.
You will be fine and find heavily. You don't just
give your money away. You make your money and force them.
Be fine, but you will find yourself in a situation
where they're coming after your contract. They're gonna take that,
They're gonna take that signing bonus back. Not they won't
(09:55):
get all don't do anything. I'm just saying, I'm not
agreeing with you, but I'm just saying that that's a
that's a practice, or that's a tactic, that could be exercise.
I get that. I never subscribed to that. I always
showed up. I'm saying for me, if I got a
contract as large as the Shaun Watson guy and negotiated
(10:17):
and got I don't care how unhappy I am. Man,
he's looking at I'm not. I'm not messing up that scraps.
He's looking his future. He wants to go down. Can't
do that. I'm gonna go down in the history I
have and one of them a hundred million dollars. He's
gonna get that from anybody, anybody, any team will give him. Hey,
bro Hey, bro we negotiated the contract and he did it.
(10:44):
Any team will give him that contract. Any team in
the league will give him that contract. That that that money
is a giving. But you know how this league is, man.
If he if he pulls this stunt of they're showing
up to the locker room and to the facility every
day and not practicing. They're smart and up to no
one know how does league does people and and and
(11:04):
and how the world circulates throughout organizations. If he does that,
he might just stay work. Doesn't have to circulate, know why.
Y'alla little White, Little White, that's little wait wait, he
did do a green and yellow remix of his joint
this now it hurts so bad. You want to go.
(11:28):

what's the word day Man? I can't call it? How
you Man? We're so happy to have you on the
show Man, I mean, uh well, you know as little
(13:32):
people are blessed with with with Heaven, one of the
biggest legends of all time on the show Man. We're
just happy that you came on, stopped by, and kicked
it with your boys. Man, oh man, like I couldn't
wait to do it already told you that seventh team?
What up? What's up? Man? How you you're good? Man?
Everything beautiful? Man? You know what it is man, already
(13:54):
know Man. So we got t J, we got we
got Plex, we got Lavarre, we got Wayne in the building.
I want to jump right into it because there's just
so many things that that we want to know. And
one of the biggest things that that I always wondered
about and and listening to you and following your career
(14:16):
is when you think about where sports culture is right now, Wayne,
you gotta think the hairstyles, the tattoos, the the just
the way people bring it, the way they dress, all
kinds of different things is all relatable to what takes
place in in the entertainment industry. And when you think
(14:40):
when you think about guys who have transcended, you know,
in the game, and you think AI, you think of
like Mike Vick. But when it comes down to like
people within the rap game, you're the name that comes
up as an influential, influential person for the entire generation
that's taking place right now. Was that a plan or
(15:00):
did it just happen? I wouldn't. I wouldn't say it
was a plan. How I would honesty, It's just it's
a blessing, honest way, little bar That's what it really is.
It's a blessing. It's just, um, you know, I'm consistent, man,
just consistent. And I think they last onto of just
they last on to the point the fact that I
never stopped. I figured out, I figure out a way
(15:21):
to recreate and and figure out a way to stay
valid in each generating in each culture, you know what
I mean. They go out a way to and I think, um,
you know, if anybody is doing what I'm doing, and
if anybody in the music business are rapping for sure
and they're watching from the sideline, I hope I would hope.
I said a great example, and I would hold somebody
on the fire with my footsteps. So yeah, it now,
(15:44):
it wasn't a plan. But indeed, indeed, let me ask
you this, and I'm sure you've you've asked, you've been
asked this question before. You're from New Orleans. How the
hell are you a Green Bay Packer fan? That makes im?
How does that happen? Man? Listen? So my father, my father,
(16:06):
he's my late father, Reginald. We call him Rabbit. So, man,
when I remember the Super Bowl came to New Orleans, man,
I think it was it. Remember the path, it was
like the path thing of the package against the Patriots.
Brett Paul played and they was like nine mistaken man,
you know, I know y'all know, yeah, you know it's
(16:27):
small down there, man. So you know at the time,
like literally, bro, my father didn't even know who was
playing in the super Bowl. Truthfully, he really didn't. He
he wasn't even a sports fan like that. If it
wasn't if it wasn't the Saint, he didn't care nothing.
But you know what I mean, that's how everybody is
in New Orleans. So, but the super Bowl was there.
So for anybody who thought they was in anybody, you
(16:49):
had to be there. My father thought he was somebody,
so he was been there and so but what happened was,
you know, he just you know, that was that was
a once in a lifetime thing for him. So he
took home all the memorabilia that he could. And so
obviously all the memorabilia he got was Super Bowl winning
Champ's Green Bay, you know. And so when he came
(17:13):
home with that, when he came home with that, I'll
be trying to explain to people that don't be understanding
and be like, yo, he came home with towels up
and stuff like that, Like what that means is Like,
what that means is like I don't know what y'all
do with y'all memorabilia. But then where I'm from, those
towels is not that's not member a billiard that that
gets we start using that drink everything exactly. So I dronned,
(17:38):
I drunk, got that same cup to use that same
tower for so long. Once the Madden Game came out,
you need you're trying to figure out who you're gonna
play with, who you're gonna play with. I played with
Green Bay and stuff for him. Since then, didn't have
anything to do with your career. Why, like, because that
was that was the year after you got started with
b G. Right, because ninety y'all drop your first album.
(18:00):
Then the nineties seven was when you really started, you know,
when it started to take off. Yeah, And I honestly
have nothing, nothing, nothing to deal with it, nothing to
do with as I last on to I'm gonna lawyer, man, man,
I last onto that team. I really ain't gonna lie.
I really I really love that boy, Brett Fall. Yeah.
(18:22):
How he just go out there and did what he did.
And I used to hear some other meeting in from
the South. I used to hear some other you know,
some under the table stories about them. I was like, oh,
I love this boy. Yeah. Man, we had to go
up there and break break Bread fall hard up then
Old seven and then it's Champions. That's that's a whole
of the topic. That's that's a whole of the topic. Man.
(18:43):
We ain't gonna get into that on the show Man,
we ain't gonna get it. I'm gonna I'm gonna just
let you drink out of your Green Bay couple. You
don't play. First of all, plaque. First of all, plau
you already how many I don't know if you ever
got it, but man, you know how you know how
many times when I did have the bridge, you know
how many tells you asked me with you my brother brother.
(19:04):
I don't know if you whoever got that, but man,
I know it's crazy. It's man, it's a beautiful thing.
But look here, man, look you just did something that
I want to do. And I'm trying to figure it out.
How did you become the first celebrity to be on
the Mad Singer? It was easy, man, so because man, listen,
(19:30):
I told him. I told, shout out Nick Man, shout
out Nick on Nick Cannon, you know, hold me, I
hit Nick up. I was like, man, listen, I'm trying
to get my na. I was trying to get nicki
Minaj on that and you know, and I was like
I need, I need, you know. I was like, I'd
love to have her on that. So he was like,
you know, of course I'm high highlight at him and
see what they say. His response was, Man, they want you.
(19:52):
You know what I mean? I was like, I was like, man,
I gotta think about it. I don't even know if
I was like I don't know what. I watched the show.
I was like, I don't know if I get but
now that you know, the chance of Daniel was fun.
So I went on it went ahead and did it
all right? So shot and shots and prayers out to
Nikki by the way, you know the tragic situation that
(20:14):
happened with her said love her way. So so you're
so into sports man you started your own sports agency APPA,
and and you have Jalen Hurts amongst other players. When
you do you invest emotions in looking, you know, watching
them play. I know there's the business side of it,
but from the personal side of it, you know, just
(20:36):
seeing how things played out with with Jalen this year.
You know what, what was your take on it? Is
it more personal when you look at or is it
just business related? I've always I have I have my
broke Max. You know, I have someone that knows how
to just separate all that and make it and they
(20:57):
take that a business part of it. But for me
straight person, you know, I'm talking to your mama yea
certain Yeah, I'm the one that's gonna I'm knowing that
if you're own my team, I personally see I personally
select you and my brother personally figured, you know, I
mean we went at you or you can I mean
we don't. We rarely have something somebody we had, like
(21:18):
one or two people called us, but that we went
at you because we felt it Mac Man right, you're
speaking on Mac Yeah, yeah right now? So so Wayne, um,
what what what made you want to start Young Money Sports?
I know Cortez Brian is heavily involved in it. What
(21:40):
because you were one of the first, if not the
first rappers that said, you know what, we're fascinated with sports.
The athletes are fascinated with our culture. Let's try to
merge both of them. And what made you want to
start Young Money Sports? Because once you did that, as
you can see, there's other rappers. Are we gonna try
to start our own company? And men? Mcwayne, what made
(22:01):
you want to get involved with that? Two people? Uh?
Sugar Slim, that's Baby's older brother, Slim. He was always
you know, he's living died sports just like me. And
that's that's a that's another part where I get a
lot of that sports, Um, a lot of a lot
of them for a lot of knowledge from just from
touring so long. I always wrote on Slim's bus and
(22:22):
Slim Slim is the older brother, so he always had
older guys on his bus. So I just was with
all the old hands along for you know, four hours
and hours on that bus. And so he thought he
always was. He always wanted to do that, he always
and he always did it, but on his own, meaning
he kind of did it with Stunn. The baby wasn't
really you know, baby ain't really messed with it with
him because the baby was more focused on the music.
(22:43):
And it was also something personal that Slim was doing
with the with the agency thing. So I always I
always loved the fact that he did it with that
said like he'd been it was so long ago, bro,
he was doing it. I always tell the story he
was doing it. Brother. I remember I did a show
in Cleveland. He was he my phone. He was like, yo, wine,
I got this little athlete down in Cleveland. He won't
(23:03):
come to your show. It's like it's all good. It
was like, it's all good if I let him come
to your show, Like just stept way down, pull up
to the hotel way downstairs, prices where we took like
three hours to come downstairs. But the dude stayed downstairs.
Guess what it was three hours? Three hours, oh man.
(23:27):
And other than that, master Peace I watched. Master Peace
was always into sports. He was always and what he did,
what he did, what that guy from him was. It
was always helpful from him. He didn't care what you know,
it didn't seem like he cared if his his agency
or whatever whatever his name was out. He did it
(23:47):
for It was like he was always for the athlete,
you know what I mean. He was It was always
for the athlete. He was gonna bend over back with
a thousand sounds for the athlete to make it, make
it the most. So when I got, like I said,
those two people, I took it into took it into
consideration the fact that I love of sports, and you
know what I mean, I knew for a fact that
if I got into it, it it was gonna be genuine.
So well, I will say this, I know agents that
(24:08):
working young money and they're fantastic. They used to represent me,
my best agents. I had just f y I shout out,
nice plug that they're fantas. I will say that you
have some fantastic agents working with young money. I who
will say that? All right, So while we're while we're
at it. If you were listening and you just heard
Young Money and you just started tuning in, we got
(24:30):
Little Tucci himself on the line. Five time Grammy Award
winning rap artists, super super extraordinary businessman. Go ahead, Plex,
I know it's on you. Hey, look man, I'm looking
at you know all the all the sports and you
know everything. Uh, you know the Green Bay thing is
out doing that. We wouldn't hear it. So I'm up
(24:54):
being in a New York Yankee country. So so what's
going on with you? When the the most red so
uncle another You just see the other side of the
fence and everything that I'm with. Man, Man, I'm gonna
tell you, Man, I'm gonna tell you, bro. They hurt
my heart. Bro when Mookie left. Bro. Oh no, I
(25:14):
know right listen, there ain't no bread stout saying. But
I like, you know what I mean. You can't do
number love Mookie. Man. Listen, Man, we would I bought
my son. I bought my my son from that late
camera to the World Series. Uh, the last one Mood
was in with the Red Sox. Man he hit that
home run. Man, he round the basis. Man, he shot
(25:36):
He pointed to my son. But that that right there
blew my heart out, Brot when he left the Reds
like I was kind of I don't know, you gotta
find you a new team, you feel me. Let's let's
get down to what fans are probably really wanting to
know about. Uh, you got new projects coming, they're dropping
(25:58):
this year when we when we chopped it up on
the phone, used in the studio, getting it in, banging,
knocking the walls down when we were talking, and you
got a collapse coming out. I mean you got several
collapse coming out. I mean, I don't know if this
is breaking news, but it certainly is going to be
hurt by a lot of people when it comes out
of your mouth and goes into their ears right here,
(26:21):
right now? What are those those collapsed when? Dude? Should
we expect to hear them? Man? I got so many
you are, I mean everybody that knows I collab with
everybody's day one. But right now I think I have
I have something out right now with this with an artist,
beautiful artists man from l A. Her name is Fuche. Yeah.
(26:41):
I have a song right now called Ain't gonna Ain't
got time right now? But then she has own she
has own stuff to come out. We're about to shoot that. Man.
That that collaboration right there. I'm I'm so proud of that.
And that girl is super talented. Okay, I feel good
about that. Oh Man, she coming in studio, pick up
a todd don't know how to read no music, just
(27:03):
played by air and chill it. Man. You know that's
always been fascinating to me. Man. You know people that
pick up issues and played the piano and and and
played a good talk and they just learned through the
field and and and and and hearing what feels good,
and don't know how to read music. Man, that's when
(27:24):
you really called it like a true talent. Man, That's
that's crazy. How I hear continue with stories or people
just become an artist and they don't how to read music,
and then's some of the best best music that you
ever heard in your life, you ever heard in your life? Exactly.
I don't know how to read music at all. And
I played a guitars well, but I was taught. I
was I was taught real well. About this Batty Right,
(27:46):
the late miss each with the late great Miss Betty Right.
What about was she talking? What about ya. What about
the compilation with young Money, your money you are right now?
I got new artists comments everybody, I mean if they know,
maybe they post, we post a lot of the new artists.
But you're about to put the compilation together with all
the artists together on one album, and you already know
(28:08):
that that sets up everything for everybody. So they could
start coming out with they solo projects as well. Well?
About the concerts, White, Like when when you're doing all
of these compilations and doing dropping these these albums and
creating these these projects, how does that work in COVID
Like this whole brave new world? Is it gonna be zoom? Uh? Concerts?
(28:29):
Like how how how are you going to manage that? Like?
How does that look in terms of for your fan base?
So for me an artists like me and artists first
of all, and artists like me, my performance, my shows,
they sow they mean so much to my career. You know,
they got a lot of artists they had that there's
other artists was totally opposite their music. There what they
(28:49):
put out with their their songs, and that that's them.
That means you know what I mean, that's the that's
their base of their career for me, my performances, my show.
I'm that guy that come out there with old hype. Man,
I'm that guy and killing for a two hours straight.
So it's hurting me right now. But as far as
I've been seeing, I've been seeing people, you know, doing
(29:10):
some certain ideas for shows and things like that. But
as far as working though, I've been Man, I've been
quarantined way before COVID. When it comes to earth. All
I do is I wouldn't come and go straight to
the studio. That's all I do. Anybody, anybody that knows you,
anybody that know let's tell you that, man, I don't
do nothing but go to the studio and come home
(29:31):
and go to the studio and come home and go
to the studio. A lot of people listen to your music.
You sold over a hundred twenty million records worldwide, and
this is this might be a hard question. Everybody has
a favorite song. What's your favorite song that you've made.
My favorite song is the one I recorded last night
(29:56):
and I got name yet, huh do a guy the
title yet? Of course it's called rocket Fire. Rocket Fire, Yeah,
rocket Freight. So we're gonna be looking forward the press,
fresh off the pressure of the press. By the way,
By the way, man, that t J. That's gonna always
(30:17):
be my answer to It's always the next one, exactly.
I always have been my answer, man, Like I'm always
focused on That's why everybody when when you know, when
people ask me a the other question, like who do
you listen to? What other artists do you listen to?
Some people get offended when I said, just me, I'm
listening to what I just recorded last night, trying to
make sure it's okay, right as you should. Exactly. You
(30:43):
can't have no influences, you know, you don't. You listen
to too many people, that's gonna start sound sound like
the exactly. Well that's why so many people sound like
you now yeah, yeah, well that that right, that right
there is hum and you know I don't I'm talking
about when you actually put the people. But that's you know,
like when you're a new artist and you're coming out
sounding just like another new artist. That's what I mean.
(31:06):
You want that, Yeah, that's kind of what I wanted
to get to, man um. You know, you know, you
know I came from an era you know, tape decks
and you know, flipping the tape over to rewind it, sir,
back in the back, back back into early and late eighties. Man,
But the evolution of music, you know, you know, it's
(31:28):
just went to a hole on the platform. So you know,
the evolution is just you and keeping up and being
in the game with twenty years now. Yeah, just tell
us about the evolution man, and remaining relative and the
creativity of just you know, being Wayne. Confidence, confidence, but
(31:52):
confidence and belief in yourself first of all, and everything
you know, I mean confidence and belief in yourself, and
and to and first and for them started first and
foremost humble man, and gratefulness. Man, I'm so grateful. I'm
I wake up every day and I can't believe I
woke up and I can't believe that whatever I did
that day, I can't believe it was actually accomplishing. I've
(32:14):
probably been doing it every day in my life, and
still I can't believe I do it. So, first of all,
you gotta be grateful. And then and then I mean consistent.
I already said that earlier. Consistent And then um, like
I was saying when I said, I don't listen to
a lot of people, I stay in my own world.
So therefore that's my that's my validation, meaning the reaction
of the world is my validation because I don't because
(32:36):
I don't hear what everybody else is here, and I
don't do what everybody else is doing. So the moment
I feel like it ain't being felt, that's when I know, okay,
you're you're trying to leave it alone. Until then, I'm twin,
I'm twenty years strong, I'm still doing still at the
top with us, I'm okay with it. I'm gonna tell
your interesting story. When when I was in the school
back back in Penn State, I hung out in Chicago
(32:58):
quite a bit and one of my homeboys was tight
with Strings, and I can recall we we got cool
and always kept in contact. And I remember the year before,
yeah exactly, and I was like, you know, because Hove
was going strong like he was he was he was,
he was the dude I mean, and obviously he's a
(33:19):
legend and can went on and and the rest is history.
But I was like, man, who's the dopest dude out
here right now? And Strings was like Wayne, like didn't
didn't stutter, didn't didn't stumble. It was like it is Wayne,
and I can tell you, I can tell you, I
know you anything because she treated me like a real
(33:42):
little brother that she wants to know what you're about
to say on this song. Let me hear ye, the
man could go and super talented. I mean I always
was a fan of you guys, uh and not at
that period of time, but then you did you blew up?
What like there's only one or two people you know,
nas you know there's a couple other guys that you
(34:03):
could say when that time frame where where Hope was
dropping hammers on people that actually really really established themselves
and you're one of them. Do you think about that? Like,
how does that make you feel? Because in the grand
scheme of things, they got to say you're one of
the greatest ever and that's what big pock nas Jay
(34:25):
you name it. How how does that make you feel?
You gotta throw a scar facing there too. Do you
definitely a man? But how does that make you feel? Man?
Um man? Honestly, like I told you, humbling, grateful man.
And I don't I don't stop a second to I
(34:46):
don't stop a second to see which way to win
blowing man. I just keep going truth. Yeah, I really
don't know how to feel. Yeah, I think, whenever whenever
I do, whenever I do, stop to see what it
feels like. I'll give it a you didn't but until
it's just a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful journey. You check this out. Man.
So back into what two thousand oh one I was.
(35:08):

white rebox, white teachers. I couldn't get enough back in
two thousand and two thousand one. Man. So, man, Man,
always a pleasure to link with. You just sit back
and wash the you know, the grapes become royalty. Man.
(35:30):

is it not what we said when we started. We're
getting better and better. Each week has been better. And
it's no different man for Waying to come over and
show us love. Man, it's just you know, it shows
a lot of humility, you know, on that man, and
you know, for him to be a international superstar man
(38:43):
and you put those two worlds together, and you know,
it's something that's very rare. You know that your witness
and and people you know, humility and ultimate rock star
known world live man and just you know, just come
on and showing his love. Man. That's what's up. I'll
(39:04):

but I know have very strong opinions about the world
around them. It came down to you too. It had
to be us three doing this show. And these are
(39:25):
the moments where you sit there and it's just amazing
to see see it personified and come to life. I mean,
we're a little ways into the show, you know. We
we wonder how how much hard work we put into
getting this show lifted off the ground, what it could mean,
you know, just listening to Wayne talk about what that represents,
(39:49):
what he was able to do, the influence of it all,
and to think that we're doing something that could influence
what what athletes will do moving into the future. I
take my hat off to you, t J and play
X because I'll tell you what, y'all have continued to improve.
This show has continued to grow, and it's been super
awesome working with y'all. Man, This is just one of
