from the Fox Sports Radio studios. Here's Pro Bowlers LeVar
aring Tet, TJ houshman Zanna and super Bowl Chippy and
Plexico Burats.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
And I mean, why not why not those three? Why
not right now off Fox Sports Radio on a show
called up on Game? That's right, boy. You could throw
a little bit of hot sauce on that up on
Game if you want to, that original Louisiana hot sauce.

(01:05):
It's the perfect balance of peppery peppers, vinegar and salt.
Throw it on your wings, your nachos, your burgers, hit
any tailgate food with that bold, handcrafted flavor of the
original Louisiana hot sauce. That's Louisiana hot. Make sure you're
bout you some. We got a lot to get to today.
You heard Alo talking about football games. Yes, my Nipkney
lines will be taking on Clemson in a few minutes

(01:27):

games going on, and there's a lot of football to
be discussed. But when we have the superheroes in Panteen
Man and Stretch Armstrong, you gotta ask them, man, how
y'all doing? Man, how y'all.

twins of twin twin twins, twins of any family I

All y'all looking like beautiful family? Uh, y'all all look alike.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
I'm gonna get to that. I appreciate that. It's funny. Man.
One of the dudes I trained, he dm me. He
was like, is this ai?

Speaker 4 (02:13):

know how to do none of that.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
And the baby that got her grown face now so
now she looked just like y'all is crazy.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
Man, crazy. How much y'all look alike. Hey, we donet crew.
We don't crew want to lock his hair up. So
just took you, yeah, yesterday, So we're gonna see. We're
gonna see how this journey takes him. But man, feeling good, Man,
clear skys and palm trees outside after the last couple
of days of rain. So uh, I can't complain about
the weather today, but the last couple of days.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Man, just sitting inside.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Yeah, yeah, how are you feeling? Stretched?

Speaker 5 (02:48):
Well, we are actually inside because we are experiencing a.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Little, a little winter snowstorm. You know what this weekend.

Speaker 5 (02:59):
You know, I was up there on the Quad this morning,
plowing the driveway.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
He was on the quad as you guys. I just
said to you, you streaking on the quad, streaking on
the quad.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
On the quad. Man, we probably got about five four
five inches of snow. So it's rather quiet.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
You got the holidays in too, huh, you got your
babies in Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Everybody's here, man, everybody's here. Man.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
So it's been How was y'all Christmas? That what y'all get,
what y'all wanted?

Speaker 5 (03:26):
Man, it was, it was really it was really uh,
it's really beautiful man.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
My son got me a gift. Man.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
It almost made me sit a tell man, come on, man,
really really thoughtful man.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
And plexico burst emotional. Man, you're getting softly the old
day bright my son, My son, y'all different man, y'all
some different dudes from I didn't know you as a player, TJ.
I just heard heard the stories about, but I know
the other one as a player. Let me tell you something, bro,
You want to talk about a stone cold, hardcore dude
like y'all soft? Now, y'all didn't I could get y'all down.

(04:03):
I'll sneak y'all.

Speaker 5 (04:04):
No, man, my son got me a pendant to go
on my necklace with my mom in the picture.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Man, it was oh.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Nice, nice shots out of respect. That's nice. All right,
Well let's talk about it man. Uh you know, it's
that time of the year. It's old season. It's it's
pushes for the playoffs and all this other stuff, and
then for others it's just like what the hell are
we doing? And well, one of them teams is the
Las Vegas Raiders, and we just found out that Max

(04:33):
Crosby will be deactivated. Now tell me, bo, give me,
give me some give us, give us some context to it.
He left the facility after getting ruled out. I guess
this was a matter of being a tabbit perturbed, so
to speak, a tabit uncomfortable with what what may be

(04:54):
the implications of him being sat down and shut down
what it represents. Give me what you.

Speaker 6 (05:01):
Got, yeah, future future former Raiders coach Pete Carroll announced
right that Max Crosby's not going to play on Sunday
because of this knee injuries had all year. He said,
he knows he's banged up. He's talking about I like
to get out of here, and I said, yeah, get
out of here. So he took off. He didn't just
spring him on him talking about it was exactly what
you think he would do and he should do. I
agree with him on the one thousand percent of high responded.

(05:21):
I would have responded in the same way as what
Carol said.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
So so future former HIC coach A lot like how
we start is that how we rock with it.

Speaker 6 (05:34):
To his credit, Crosby said earlier, I believe it was
on Wednesday or Thursday. My jobs would be the best
defensive end of the world. That's what I focus on
every day and being a great leader and being an influence. Uh,
securing the top pick is the front office job. That's
got nothing to do with me, is what he said.
Because he was asked, well, you know about the team
getting that first overall pick, he said, I don't give

(05:55):
an s about the pick. I don't play for that.
So he wants to play the team does not. So
here we are.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
How do you handle this, guys, if you're the GM,
if you're Max Crosby. First of all, if I'm Max Crosby,
I know exactly how you handle it because I've been
in his position before. You just got to stay grateful.
You got to stay at living your your graciousness. And
and yes, it's it's frustrating to to have been in

(06:21):
a situation where it just can't seem to get right.
It's a can't get right team. And and so if
I'm if I'm Max Crosby, you've you've ingratiated yourself. You
you you have a lot of fan fare, you have
a lot of people who support you and love you.
Just don't do anything to turn a different type of

(06:44):
light or or kind of feeling on you, is what
I would say to Max. Now for y'all, how do
y'all feel about. I mean, y'all didn't really play on
bad teams. Y'all, y'all have plex you were blessed enough
to always win pretty much, excepting you know, towards the
end maybe, but you know TJ you won. I mean,
I guess maybe early on y'all might have been a

(07:04):
little different, but you've won pretty much when you played it.
How do you handle this as a team if you're
in the Las Vegas Raiders situation?

Speaker 4 (07:16):
For me, it's not a good look for the Raiders
when your best player wants to play. You're really trying
to lead by example and show the locker room in
the young guys it don't matter what's going on. We
gonna see this thing all the way through.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
And yeah, they proved to the team that it's not
about that exactly. That's basically what they're doing with this decision, right.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
From day one. From day one, Pete Carroll is preaching
we gotta finish. From day one. I know his message.
We got to finish and it's all about the ball.
Anybody that played for Pete Carroll know what I'm talking about.
And so a guy that wants to finish, you not
going to allow him to finish. And when he said,

(07:59):
I can give to blink blink blink about getting the
number one pick. I want to win this game, and
there's oh no, we can't have him playing. We can't
have him getting a few sacks and for us a
couple of fumbles with Jackson dark crazy, that's.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
What it is.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
And they want the number one pick because they don't
have a franchise quarterback. And the Raiders they have pieces
to be a bet. They shouldn't be two in fourteen
or two and thirteen right now. They shouldn't be. They
have a better team than that. They shouldn't be two
in thirteen. They should not be have only won two

(08:37):
games because if I recall Pete Curle said at the
start of the season, we have the team to compete
right away, like we can compete right away. We're gonna
get you out, We're gonna get we got Geno, we
got our quarterback.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
We will compete right away.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
They're a lot worse than they were last year, not
not just a little bit, a lot worse, and so
at some point the Raiders got to figure it out
and see it through with the coach. I don't believe
Pete Carrow is a answer and they know he isn't
the answer.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
And so yeah, do.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
They need a quarterback, yes, do they need playmakers on
the outside, yes, But when your best player wants to
play and you shut him down. Now moving forward, when
you don't want to shut it down and you want
to finish and your best player doesn't want to play,
or your best players, how do you go about that?

Speaker 3 (09:30):
How do you go about that?

Speaker 4 (09:31):
Because now you've set a precedent, you set a president
that will shut you down. So, okay, they're not gonna
shut me down. I'm gonna shut myself down. I'm an
impending free agent and I know I'm not resigning with
the team.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
I don't want a chance and injury.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Y'all's best interests in mind when y'all want.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
So now I'm gonna put my best interest in mind.
So now I'm gonna shut it down. So you're setting
a bad precedent, and Max Crosby is a competitor. I
really believe the this situation is going to force their hand.
I don't know if we'll see Max Crosby be a
Raider next year because of this situation.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
Oh, what do you mean? Force the handles man. Let's
just call it what it is. He's traded. No, he
he gotta be on flex. You can't bring him back.
He gonna be a problem. Now, that's what I'm saying.
He's trade bait. Trade they want, they want a franchise quarterback.
Whoever wins this game is, whoever loses this game is

(10:27):
going to have the first pick. So just go to
say that the Raiders just somehow happened to beat the
New York Giants and the and the Raiders are going
to have the second pick in the draft. The New
York Giants already have their franchise quarterback and Jackson dark
So if the New York Giants do acquire the first pick,

(10:48):
what do you think that the Los Angeles Raiders are
going to do? Las Vegas Raiders are going to do.
They want to trade up to get their friend to
get that franchise quarterback in Mendoza from Indiana, and they
throw Crosby in the deal, because what are you gonna
do if you're the New York Giants, You're not gonna
take Mendoza and you just supposedly drafted. You're just supposedly

(11:10):
drafted your franchise quarterback last season, So that's gonna be
the move. And this whole thing about shutting down Max Crosby. Man,
if it was the other way around, people be throwing
Max Crosby under the bush. Quit on the team, man,
look at him. He quit it on the team. That's
exactly what they what what what what? They will be saying.

(11:33):
And this has Tom Brady written all over it. We
are going to shut you down. They are throwing all
these things out in the media saying, oh, he's been
battling knee injuries for the neck for the last few tours.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
Pre games playing.

Speaker 5 (11:50):
You know what, we don't want him to get hurt
in these last two games because he is a part
of our future plans of being and trade it. You
can't trade or hurt Max Crosby if anything happens to
him in the next two games.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
That's exactly what it is. They should call it what
they call it. What it is.

Speaker 5 (12:12):
Max Crosby is on the trading block, regardless if he
likes it or not. Now now to shoot to shut
him down. He doesn't want, he doesn't want to come
back anyway. But that's exactly what it is.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
The New York.

Speaker 5 (12:25):
Giants, I get out of there, New York Giants and
the Raiders. If the Raiders happen to win, you'll see
what happened the Bengals named Max Crosby. Go ahead, yes,
they do, give up that first rounder.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
Ain't nobody they're gonna draft in the first round gonna
be better than Max Crosby for the next five years.
Go ahead and give up that first rounder. And now
we're cooking with Grease.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Mm hmm, give wow.

Speaker 5 (12:50):
Max Crosby traded to the Giants alongside Dexter Lawrence and
at Abdual Carter and Brian Burns, giving himself a defense.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Somebody out of there, Timbo gotta go somebody out of there.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Yes, that's the plan. They put him on the block.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
Everybody in the league will want them, everybody in the league.
But it's always the good teams that make the right
moves and say, you know, Max Crosby gonna give you
at least three to four great years. Who couldn't use
him that intensity because he gonna rub off I's good team.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
That's that's and that's what's so unfortunate. You'll see a
guy play out of an elite level like Max Crosby,
but never be looked at LeVar.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
You know this dude is a worker man. Yeah, yes,
we training in Vegas, right, this is this is this
summer we training. We got to the field at seven am,
seven am, already there dog shirt looked like shirt looked
like he would in a swimming pool. Already work, already

(14:04):
work like he literally was finishing at like seven twenty five,
seven thirty. So you know he had to get there
at five thirty six o'clock in the morning, m already
working and nobody around, no cameras, all ready working. And
this went on for three four days straight. I'm going

(14:25):
to the field. I'm going to the field. The train
guys man, he just finishing his worker here, a worker man.
He a dude you want on your team because he's
gonna lead by example if you let him.

Speaker 5 (14:36):
Hey, the luve Vegas Raiders, the only thing they have
on that current roster that is worth a first round
pick is Max Crosby.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
The one, and they got another one.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
They shut him down to hours rock Val shut him
down to Oh yeah he found as well.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Yeah defensively, yes, yeah, well and they got one in
the backfield too. But I don't know if they get
a first round for him.

Speaker 5 (15:04):
But yeah, the way, I've never heard anything like this.
I never have, not from the front office. Not from
the front office. It's said the.

Speaker 4 (15:14):
Bad, bad look, it's a bad everybody that wants to
shut it down moving forward?

Speaker 3 (15:18):
All my contract up. I ain't resigning. I can't risk
indry up. I'm done. How can you get mad? How
can you get mad about?

Speaker 2 (15:25):
How do you handle this game? If you're playing against
the Raiders. That's that's what's interesting to me. How do
you play this one out?

Speaker 3 (15:33):
But you know that everybody trying to quarterback plex. Some
people say that.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Some people have said that something start or or the
health or the health of it. You know, I believe it.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
I believe it. I've sat there, I've been a part
of it. I've watched has gotten worse since they fired
he's a good quarterback.

Speaker 5 (15:56):
Four or five years from now, can you say that
he will be mentioning amongst you know, the Josh Allen's
and the and the Joe Burrows.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
I don't believe if he.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Could stay healthy enough, man, if he could stay healthy,
I like him as a player, it's just can he
stay healthy man? And I think that that's probably the
biggest question for dark right, now get that development, and
then because he looks confident enough to be able to
make the plays at at this level, and he looks
like he could be a franchise guy if he can

(16:30):
learn to not take those hits, which he people must say.

Speaker 4 (16:34):
You know, yes, he must get the right offensive coach
because he's a different quarterback now that Dabo has been fired.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
He's a different quarterback statistically clearly.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
Well, we'll see what happens.

Speaker 3 (16:48):
Man.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
But hey, speaking of one interesting scenario to another. Uh,
you know, when you see these things take place between
players and fans, a lot of times it's a very
one sided deal. You don't get very much information. But
it's interesting. The DK Metcalf situation, it's a gift that

(17:09):
continues to give. The fella that actually was wearing the
blue wig, set up a press conference, had people sitting
with him, and he had some interesting things to say
in a very interesting request for DK Metcalf. We're going
to get into that and we're going to talk about
it and see how the guys feel about it. On

you some fellas, all right?

Speaker 3 (21:03):
Man?

Speaker 2 (21:04):
My man came out and he you know, he didn't
just he didn't just sit back obviously.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
There have been some threats, apparently allegedly going towards his family.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
There have been.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
What is conceived considered to be perceived inaccuracies between the
between the interaction of the fan, the Lions fan, and
DK Metcalf, here's what the fan had to say. I'm
interested to hear what you guys think about this.

Speaker 9 (21:37):
It is really hard to get me upset. But there's
two things. Animal abuse racism.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
Like I get hot.

Speaker 9 (21:46):
Right away, Like I could feel it my face, it
gets all warm. So I guess I want to be
crystal clear about one thing. I didn't use any racial slurs,
no hate speech between none of that stuff at the game.
Never ten year season ticket holder for the Lions. I've
never done that at all. So to Kaelin, if you're
watching this man, if you could just say that, please, Like,

(22:09):
my family's getting threats and.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Stuff and it's not cool.

Speaker 9 (22:12):
So whether you said that or not, I'm sure you
didn't want that to happen to the family, even if
you did, like, I forgive you, man, that's all I got.
Go Lions.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
I mean, he obviously what he's doing. He did it
right there. Again, he's trolling. He's a troll. Dude is
a bona fide troll and called the Kaylin again, and
I think that that's I think we can start from there, fellas.
I mean, maybe you guys may disagree with me. I
don't think there was a racial slur. I do not

(22:43):
think that there were. I think he really got under
DK's skin by calling him by his government name and
not calling him DK. And they got a history of it.
But I'm gonna put it in front of y'all. I'm
gonna leave it at that. What did that mean, you
guys feel, I mean, for what it is worth, my
first thought is, you know, don't be a heckler if

(23:06):
you don't want your kids. I hate to say it
that way, because the kids don't deserve that. If you
have kids in some way somehow, they're getting threatened because
of something you did. But my whole thing is, then
don't be a heckler. But you guys tell me how
you felt about it. Should DK be thinking to make sure?
He says, Listen, man, it wasn't a racial slur. He's

(23:26):
getting his two game suspension anyway, and could possibly potentially
get his guarantees voided out of his contract based off
of his conduct on this scenario. What do you think
how you think this should be handled?

Speaker 3 (23:40):
Man?

Speaker 4 (23:40):
Listen LeVar number one, I like this Penn State quarterback
by the way.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
I like him, all right, yeah, but it's getting better,
all right.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
I just had thought out there that was nice.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
Strozes man anyway, Man, bro, why the hell this dude
doing a press conference?

Speaker 3 (23:55):
But who are you? Right? Like? Why Man? Get your
ass out of here with that?

Speaker 5 (24:00):
Mans, we're talking about it, like, oh, number one, you're
gonna suing for a harm chair reputation.

Speaker 4 (24:13):
Nobody knows who you are? What what? What harm has
he done to your reputation? Number I'll say this, what
DK did? I don't condone that because I'm somewhat of
a hot head, or I used to be, and I
remember playing the Steelers. Man and they fan. It was

(24:33):
a fan right behind the bench. He just kept chirping
and chirping and chirping and chirping. So I walked up
to the I walked up to the stands and he
put his hand out to dap me up. All they
really want is your attention, and it just we just
having fun. Now that that's what they look at it.
We just having fun. And so I went over there

(24:55):
and I dapted him up and he was like, uh,
can I get some gatorade? And I was like, I
didn't giving you no gatorade, but I did. I gave
him a cup of gatorade. And I was thinking to myself,
if he threw this gatorade back in my face, it's
gonna be And he didn't. He didn't. He drank the gatorade.

(25:15):
We dapped up and you know, just like in the
second quarter or something like that. And if dude listening,
you know exactly who he is. And we finished the game.
I say that to say the fans really they just
want to be cool with us.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
Man.

Speaker 4 (25:27):
They gonna talk trash. You can talk trash back you go.
They just want to dap you up in those type
of things. The guys, they get drunk, that's a different story.
And so I don't condone what DK did. Talking trash
with the fans, to me is the one of the
best parts of just being a professional athlete because you
having fun. Now you can't put your hands on somebody.
But I just have a hard time with if you

(25:50):
just calling him by his first name two things, He's
just going to ignore you the entire time. Why is
that making you mad? I don't believe to be mad.
I don't believe. I don't believe somebody calling you decayling, decayling, decayling,
over and over again.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Mad.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
I don't understand that.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
But but that's weird man, that's that weird action. That's
your name.

Speaker 3 (26:15):
He did a press conference.

Speaker 4 (26:17):
So now you're gonna try to get in with a
civil lawsuit, Like, come on, bro, have some type of integrity. Man,
has some type of integrity, Like you're not physically hurt,
He's done no harm to you. Like I'm tired of
the court system. Oh, he follows a civil lawsuit, he's
gonna get X amount of dollars and then even if
he doesn't win, you've wasted thousands and thousands of dollars

(26:40):
under an attorney fighting.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
It, like you want to know the problem with that, though,
is that DK didn't even need to put himself in
a position where but it is a problem with that.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
It's too easy for people to try to take other
people's hard earned money, Like making it to the NFL
was not easy.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
Man.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
You know how many days and nights you can't even
sleep and you can barely move to reach this dream,
Like do you like, I don't think people understand that, man,
Like there's times you can get out the bed, you
can't even walk, but you're gonna get your ass up
and gonna run and practice. And I don't think people
understand that it's such a mental warfare and a physical

(27:23):
challenge to play for as long as DK has played
an somebody that just want to come in and say, hey,
I got my hand out, give me something because you
grabbed and pulled my fake hair.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
What do you think, plex.

Speaker 5 (27:38):
Man, this is a lot of things unwrapped here, man,
So obviously with this this yeah, this guy held a
press confidence, held a press conference, Yes he did. He
wants to be publicly exonerated by DK metcalf to come
out and say that he did not make any racial
floors towards him because he does not want people or

(28:00):
to believe or think that he's a racist. Number One,
like your spectator, you want to go to the professional events,
whether it was basketball, football, or whatever sport.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
That you like to watch.

Speaker 5 (28:13):
If you're going down to the almost like the field level,
you're leaning all the way over the wall, and now
you want to make some personal, uh you know, statements
towards a player. History has showed me that if the
naturally the first natural reaction reaction is to slap the

(28:36):
taste out of somebody my often most likely they deserved it.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
You deserve it.

Speaker 5 (28:45):
So I don't know what's true or what's not, but
I don't condone the actions like what DK did, just
like TJ said, but I support DK. So there was
something said that that was that DK felt that it
was so egregious that he needed to lay hands on

(29:05):
this man. And so now this man wants to folow
lawsuit or whatever he is trying to accomplish. He just
doesn't want people to think that he's a racist. So
he wanted to make me mad. Like first name, like J,
I've had I've had worse things said to me to

(29:27):
feel way worse my fans that I wish I could
have got my hands on.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
Way worse worse. I mean, I wish I could have
got my hands on bruh, I got. I got heckos
so bad in Kansas City, man bad like bad bad.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
It wasn't you can't even call it heckling.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
Back then, it was like it was personal berating and
it was racial. There were rael absolutely absolutely, And it's
interesting because my whole thing. I turned around, and you know,
I'm a heckler, you know what I mean. So I'm
like the right one. I'll be your huckleberry. You want
to talk crazy to me, I always use the same comeback,

(30:08):
And I always use your mom like you know, whatever
you called me, your mom's that anytime, like any time
you're eating and your mom is you you your mom is?
That was always my comeback. Like I turn around and
I say, did you know your mama was too?

Speaker 3 (30:29):
That?

Speaker 2 (30:29):
I start laughing, right because if I could make my
first of all, you gotta be able to not take
things so seriously. That's first and foremost, right, cause there
are guys like me out there on the field, And
like I said, I don't even know that I played
against you TJ. But I can remember one time. I
always tell this story because I think it's one of
the funniest stories ever at Plex got into smoothies head

(30:52):
so bad, and it was even it wasn't even a
real gay. It was preseason and he didn't gotten into
the boy's head so bad. I'm one of them dudes
on on the field. If I know that I can
get an upper hand on you, because you aren't mentally
dialed in, I can actually say something to you to
get you off your game. I'm gonna do it. I'm

(31:14):
gonna do it, And I know for certain I play.
I'd like to say I played by the rules. I
leave I leave with players. I leave family out of it.
I will not go after your family. I won't say
in anything about your wife. I won't say anything about
your kids. I won't go out, I won't even go
out of girlfriend. But everything else you are not off limits.

(31:37):
So whatever it is I can say is out of
pocket to you. If I know I can get you,
I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it. So you
know what this does for d which is already I mean,
it's already made book on him. You can get him
out of his game, and and and DK Metcalf is
always going to be that second dude to the party.

(31:58):
He's always going to be the one that gets it's
in trouble because he is a reactionary dude. And if
he doesn't fix that, here's what I say. If he
doesn't fix that, fellas, that goes far, that's still that
stems far beyond the playing field, He's going to get
himself in trouble in real life. And like in real life,
because there's some people out here that just don't play

(32:20):
around with stuff like that. And when you're that type
of person, you know it could, it could, It could
put you in the wrong, It could put you in
some compromising positions. Is all I'm gonna say. It's always
better to be cool, low key, unassuming, and be ready
to get the hell out of the out of the way,
get out of Dodge, do whatever. It don't even be
in a place where you got to get the hell

(32:41):
out of dodge. Just just do things the right way.
But it just seems like this scenario in particular, this
is a DK Metcalf situation. This is a DK Metcalf issue.
And if he doesn't if he don't check himself, find
a way to to to control his emotions better than that.
It's gonna cost him. That's that's what I think. But

(33:01):
that's hair Nord there. I mean, he's that's you know,
that's what he's going to have to deal with. But
I know what we're going to deal with. We're going
to get an update from Isaac Lonkron right now. I Low,
what do you have for us on the updates?

Speaker 8 (33:12):
Sir man?

Speaker 10 (33:14):
You got me turning back the clock. Here's what I'm laying.
Here's what I'm looking at right now. Talking about Fred Smooth.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
It's a thirty yard game as long as the forty
yard line, and of course now man and before it
gets hit, fires.

Speaker 10 (33:26):
To the twenty one and that's Farmers again and again,
ten for one, thirty three Plexico.

Speaker 8 (33:34):
No wonder Fred Smooth was mad at you.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
He had Smooth up in arms Man on opening night.

Speaker 8 (33:42):
It wasn't even his longest reception of that drive.

Speaker 10 (33:44):
He had a thirty yard er earlier when the guy
at the line of scrimmageis he totally faked out?

Speaker 2 (33:49):
I Low, he grabbed the man by his shoulders.

Speaker 8 (33:53):
Not what it looked like on replay.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
He pointed to where the ball was going, pointed to
where the ball was going. It's you might want to
try to go catch that. Looks like they.

Speaker 8 (34:03):
Got score on this called his shot.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
Was getting bad.

Speaker 10 (34:08):
You have the patience of a saint. By the way,
one other observation about that Lions fans a news conference yesterday.
Do you know that he conducted that news conference where
while wearing a Lions cap backwards that doesn't exist.

Speaker 8 (34:21):
Yeah, that doesn't.

Speaker 10 (34:22):
Exactly add to the seriousness and the Gravi toss of
the moment. If the guy's up there talking about all
this stuff and he's wearing a Lion's hat on backwards
talking about Gravi's toss right now, that demonstrated by Levar's
Penn State Nidney Lions, because with one fifty two left
in the first quarter, they are shutting out the Clemson
Tigers in a Pinstripe Bowl by a wopping score of

(34:44):
three to nothing on a twenty two yard field goal
by Ryan Barker Man.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Look at what I'm doing. I'm laying it down.

Speaker 8 (34:52):
That's what Penn State's doing right now. Us wear the
big story.

Speaker 10 (34:55):
Late last night, Michigan made an official the Wolverine's hiring
former longtime Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham as their new
head coach on.

Speaker 8 (35:03):
A five year deal.

Speaker 10 (35:04):
And fella is to put this hiring in perspective, I
thought I'd check the comments on social media.

Speaker 8 (35:10):
That's always a good place to get insight.

Speaker 10 (35:11):
We've got at ute boy boy spelled boi comments and
quote this is like watching your dad divorce your mom
after thirty years and start dating a younger woman. Like,
good for you, dad, but also wtf man. And then
we have at s Bell zero two to one who

(35:33):
did some background research on Whittingham. Quote Kyle Whittingham follows
only five women on Instagram, all are fully clothed, and
the majority of them are related to him hiring Grade
A plus. Finally, today's NFL devilheader kicks off at four
thirty Eastern, the Los Angeles Chargers hosting the Houston Texans.

Speaker 8 (35:54):
If the Texans win, they clinch a playoff spot and
clinched the AFC West for the Broncos.

Speaker 10 (35:58):
If the Chargers win, they can win the AFC West
by winning a Denver next weekend. Then tonight at eight
pm Eastern, the Ravens visit the Packers. Baltimore needs to
win to keep their playoff hopes alive. Jordan Love won't
play because of a concussion, so that means starting good
quarterback for Green Bay.

Speaker 8 (36:13):
It will be Malik Willis.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
Back to you, guys, appreciated Alo, we'll talk winning Halm
on the other side of the break. This is up
on Game. This is Fox Sports Radios.

Speaker 3 (36:22):
T J.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
Hushman's out of Plexico burs. I'm LeVar Arrington. We'll be
right back and listen. A hotly debated topic out here
in the Hot sauce world is, well, who's this year's MVP.
I'm not talking about players either, I'm talking about poors.
That's right, poors, the most valuable poor. In fact, I
know who mine is. You know, I know y'all know

(36:45):
who mine is. But who will yours?

Speaker 3 (36:47):
Be? All right?

Speaker 2 (36:48):
My most valuable poor is the original Louisiana Hot Sauce.
And here's why. The MVP poor belongs to the sauce
that delivers every single time you crack it open and
put it on your food. The ingredients are super simple.
Pepper is vinegar, salt, that's it. But it's so perfectly balanced,

(37:10):
and they've done it for almost one hundred years. The heat,
the flavor ratio is amazing and that's what makes it
most valuable pouring material. Yeah, that's right. Listen to Original
Louisiana Hot Sauce on game day. It'll dress up any
of your foods and make them better with ease drizzled

(37:30):
on nachos, burgers, pizzas, gumbo. It don't matter. The taste
is going to score. And finally, just take a look
at its record, right, it's been doing it for so
many years. As I mentioned the flavor experts there, they've
been doing it for close to one hundred years. And
listen that tasty Louisia and the legacy it deserves to

(37:53):
get that reputation of most Valuable Poor title. In fact,
the original Louisiana the Hot Sauce is not just the
most Valuable poor, it's the VP if you know what
I mean. That's right, the valuable Poor. Well, make sure
you get you that feeling and make sure you get

(38:14):
you something that's Luisia and Hot Sauce. Make sure you
buyue some all right, Welcome back into the show. Everyone.

All right, before we get up out of this hour
as the hours, as you can tell, go by so quickly, Fellas,

(38:57):
we just talked about the hiring of Kayo Whittingham from
the Utah to Utes to the Michigan Wolverines. How do
y'all feel about it? What's y'alls take? You like it?
Hate it? Love it, don't like it, don't care.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
For University of Michigan.

Speaker 4 (39:13):
The start play that he played at Utah, you would
think it fits out the Big Ten.

Speaker 3 (39:22):
I mean, they used to play football.

Speaker 4 (39:24):
I don't know if in today's game, if that still
was gonna win you a national championship. But Utah was
wildly competitive with everybody they played with, very good in
the trenches on offense and defensive lines. And he wasn't
getting foreign five star recruits at the University of Utah.
He has an opportunity to get some of those dudes

(39:48):
at the University of Michigan, and so I expect Michigan
to be I don't know if they'll be better than
what they were, but I don't think they'll fall off.

Speaker 3 (39:57):
Whittingham's a great coach.

Speaker 4 (39:59):
He's never had the type of recruits at Utah that
he'll get it Michigan, and he was getting kids drafted
out of Utah, and so you would assume they will
be better than they've been, but it's it's hard to
kind of forecast that.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
But I think it's a great hire. He's a really
good coach.

Speaker 4 (40:18):
I'm just interested to see, when you're playing really good
team week after week after week after week, how.

Speaker 5 (40:28):
Does his style of play hold up in the Big Ten.
I think it's a solid hire for Michigan. I mean,
you can't say that they necessarily knocked it out of
the box by, you know, bringing in bringing in Wooden Hams.
He's a sixty six year old coach, so that makes
him the fourth I believe, oldest coach to coach in college.
But I don't believe it's a long term higher for them.

(40:50):
I don't believe that he'll be there the whole five years.
I think it's something that year.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
That's a long time.

Speaker 5 (40:56):
Yeah, he's sixty six years old. I don't think he
will be the other the whole of this contract. I
believe it's just a high for Michigan to kind of
just kind of clean house, get rid of that whole
hallbar regime, everybody out of there, and start over from scratch.
And I just think it's a higher for them to
basically have a coach come in and put a productive,

(41:18):
you know, outfit or program, you know, on the football
field so they can go out and compete. I don't
believe they'll be nine to three. It's like teacher said,
I don't believe they'll be a better football team.

Speaker 3 (41:29):
But I think everybody just.

Speaker 5 (41:30):
Really is sitting back and waiting to see what Bryce
under was going to do, and that's going to tell
the whole story about how good Michigan will be going
into this next season. But I just think it's a
higher that, you know, they you know what, we just
need to start over. And I believe that's the reason
why they hired within him. He's a solid coach he's

(41:52):
created a solid program in Utah for the last twenty
one years. But just like TJ said, you know, playing
week the weekend Big ten of the Hoile States, the
Penn State's the you know, week the week I want
to see how he's gonna fail when he's playing top
tier you know competition weekend and we go.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
I think it's a super super competitive deal. And all
the pressure in the spotlight are on a few different
teams and Michigan is one of them. I think this is.

Speaker 3 (42:18):
A big, big deal.

Speaker 2 (42:20):
For Kyle Whittingham and it'll be interesting, and he knows
what it's all about. He knows what Michigan football is about.
So it'll be interesting to see if his style of play,
which it is as style of play as you mentioned, TJ,
that kind of translates into Big ten play. But you know,
just like what we're worrying about with Penn State as
Penn Staters, Ken Michigan keep up. You know, can Penn

(42:43):
State keep up? You got Indiana that's charging forward, You
got Oregon out there they have maintained what they came
in as, and you got Ohio State maintaining the gold standard.
Can Michigan keep up? I would think is the biggest
question here that exists, But we'll see how it all
plays out. This is up on Game hour two. Is

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
