it's the semifinals that just took place.

What were the takeaways?

I mean, we got Washington and Michigan in the championship round,
but man, like, those are some really, really exciting games.
I wasn't happy that Florida State did not make it
in to the football playoff. Gotta say I mighta not
have been happy that Georgia didn't make it into the
football playoff, and they showed Florida State wide they shouldn't
have been in the football playoff and why they should

have been in the football playoff. But nonetheless, we have Washington.
They have a big, big, big win in their game
and Michigan pulled out their win as well. So here
we go Texas versus Washington. They get to win, Washington
Huskies advance and Michigan gets the win against the Tide.

What were y'all takeaways? Man?
Speaker 4 (02:32):
I mean, for me, it was I felt Washington and
Texas was more of the fifty to fifty game. I
felt like going into Michigan Bama, Michigan was gonna win
that game.

That's what I thought going into it.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
Both games, as we know, came down to the last drive,
went down to the wire. And Washington with this offense
that they have, the explosiveness, the receivers, a quarterback, offensive
line like I felt like, oh yeah, Texas defensive line
is gonna put a ton of pressure on Pinis in

at Washington.

Old line, He's gonna have to get rid of the ball.

The old line is so good fast, the receivers in
Pinis They get all the credit, but that old line
is really really good. So I'm interested to see how
Michigan matches up with them, what type of game we get.
But when you say Georgia or Florida State should have

been the way these semi final games win, I don't
know how you take any of those teams out, they
were that that impressed.

Now, I will say that if Texas to me, out
of all the teams there, Texas didn't have the quarterback
play the other team Quinn yours is not JJ McCarthy,
He's not pinnis he was. He wasn't even Milrow like
I felt like he missed some throws that had he made,
Texas probably would have had a chance to win this game.

was your takeaway from from the games?

You know, I was. I was a little disappointed.

I can't even front because I can't believe that I

Because you did pick back to win. I recall last.

Saturday that they're that much is better than US forty

compete for Nation. It makes me sick to my stomach,
it really does. How'd y'all last game go? Oh my greatness, Miro,
I thought the Alabama in the Michigan game, Mirroor didn't
have a pass completed until the second half.

This was my first time Washington play for a whole

I did not know that he was not a past
capable quarterback, and I learned that Washington game against Michigan.
But I'll say this, man, you know, going to this
National championship game, it's a possibility that Washington may go

nobody knew how good they were until they played Texas,
I don't know how they're gonna slow these guys down

winner and he's putting that on display why he is

the best player in college football. And I'm looking for
I'm really looking forward to this game to see how
what Michigan is going to do defensively to slow Washington down.

in fourward in one of the games he only played

he's trying to see if the NCAA giving another year.

getting injured or what transferred and transferred and transferred like
seven eight years and that man hit like thirty and
he's still in college. Do something with your life.

He ready professional college football player. You know, when I
look at Washington, I got an opportunity. Me and man
went to Vegas to see them play in in the
Pack Championship against Orgon, and I really thought that organ
was going getting some problems, and they did at one

point they made it a game. But the one thing
that you said TJ, that I think I lean on
with with Washington is they've proven that they're a complete team.
Like their offense, they are, They're they're very unassumingly or
sneaky physical. It's a physical football team on the offensive
side of the ball. But the one thing that you know,
I'm a defensive guy, So one thing I was super
impressed about was the way they play defense. Like they

just seem like they were faster than Oregon. And Oregon
is fast, you know, that's a that's a fast group,
that's a fast outfit. And Washington looked faster, they looked
more physical, and I was like, well, man, like, this
is kind of a shocker. And I was wondering how
that would translate against an athletic, super physical Texas team.
And I'll tell you what it translated. Well, they they

get after the quarterback very well. That's the one thing
that they really have have prided themselves on is having
a really good pass rush, being able to get to
the quarterback and putting that pressure on them.

And so that's uh, that.

Was super That was a super critical piece and I
think that'll be a critical piece in this game against Michigan.
Michigan doesn't really like throwing the ball I mean, don't.
If you recall the game against US, they didn't throw
the ball out all.

Look at look at this assicis from JJ McCarthy in
this last game against Alabama.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
He completed four passes in the second half.
Speaker 5 (09:26):
But he can throw behind the running game and in
a game, but he can throw him to manage the
football game.

That's exactly because they beat the hell out of everybody
that they play against. They where you the hell we
have a stellar defense and probably the best running game
in all This is what we're going to him behind that.

Because you say they have a stellar defense, right, they
have yet to face anybody that's close to washing offensively.
And so Michigan loves to play man the man defense.
You're gonna have to man up doonsay, you gonna have
to man up McMillan, You're gonna have to man up Polk.

And so that will be interesting to see how Michigan
corners match up against Washington's receivers because Michigan's gonna play
man the man, that's what they're gonna do. They did
it against Ohio State, they do it against everybody, and
so can they match up with Washington's receivers and then

will they be able to pressure Pinnis. If they can't
pressure Pinis, does Michigan have enough firepower on offense to
keep up.
Speaker 3 (10:34):
Let's keep in mind last year the firepower wasn't there
when they played in the playoffs and against Michigan's Tech
and against the Texas Tech team that txcuse me, TCU
TCU team that to me was a running gun style
offense as well. They were speedy, they were undersized, but
they they caught Michigan off guard. Now, I don't think

Michigan's gonna get caught off guard this year against Washington.
But I also think that Washington is a better team
coming into this game against Michigan than what TCU was
going up against.
Speaker 4 (11:05):
Michigan is a much better team as well. They're they're
better defensively than they were last year.
Speaker 5 (11:10):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think going into the going into
this last game with with with the Texas and Washington,
everybody was picking Texas because, just like you said earlier,
everybody thought that Texas was going to out physical.

Washington, and I did too. Seemed to make sense.

And I watched that football game and just like you said,
they were sneaky physical on the low and I think
it kind of shock Texas a little bit.

teams that are destined to meet are the Niners in
the Ravens. This is what looks like, what do you
say to the fact or the notion that there isn't
a team and if there is a team in the NFC,
who's that team that can beat them the Niners?

The AFC right now to day that can beat those Ravens,
who are they?

I really think in the NFC Championship game, I think
Dallas is gonna return to San Francisco.

Huskies advance and Michigan gets the win against the Tide.

I mean, for me, it was I felt Washington and
Texas was more of the fifty to fifty game. I
felt like going into Michigan Bama, Michigan was gonna win

Both games, as we know, came down to the last drive,
went down to the wire. And Washington with this offense
that they have, the explosiveness, the receivers, a quarterback, offensive

with with Washington is they've proven that they're a complete team.

sneaky physical. It's a physical football team on the offensive

impressed about was the way they play defense. Like they

just seem like they were faster than Oregon. And Oregon
is fast, you know, that's a that's a fast group,
that's a fast outfit. And Washington looked faster, they looked
more physical, and I was like, well, man, like, this
is kind of a shocker. And I was wondering how
that would translate against an athletic, super physical Texas team.
And I'll tell you what it translated. Well, they they

get after the quarterback very well. That's the one thing
that they really have have prided themselves on is having
a really good pass rush, being able to get to
the quarterback and putting that pressure on them.

That's exactly because they beat the hell out of everybody
that they play against. They where you the hell we
have a stellar defense and probably the best running game
in all This is what we're going to him behind that.

when they played in the playoffs and against Michigan's Tech

offense as well. They were speedy, they were undersized, but

Michigan's gonna get caught off guard this year against Washington.
But I also think that Washington is a better team
coming into this game against Michigan than what TCU was

New York Jets most inspiration.

When he said that, I toured it off when he
when he said that to me, I was like, Okay,
he done for the rest of the game. I never
thought that he was being dead serious. He was like,

When I was after I tore it that that, I
went back out there, I was like, I was like

But going through a torn achilles you know how that
rehabit just to live a normal life, let alone play
football painful. That's why Aaron Rodgers' most inspiration ain't naked. No,
that's that he had no impact on their season. It's
not because of them losing. The way he put the

an achilles. So who is he inspired?

Inspiring guys to put the work in that? I mean,
who else on the just gonna be the most inspirational?
You don't know any tribulations they have gone through.

the damn roster, don't give out the damn award, then.

Take away the war. If Aaron Rodgers is wearing don
like Aaron.

Rodgers, I don't have a problem with him, but you
don't give him the most Inspiration award?

Somebody else? Give it to Quinny Williams. What what did
he inspire you? Know why, because Hello, blow that man
to be able to come back from some adversity.

Man, you know what, That man played every snap and
I remember vividly, as you say, the Buffalo Bills game
when they was run up and down the field. This
man was upset, holly upset that this defense was giving
up the points the way they were.
