Speaker 2 (02:02):
Well, you know how it is out here, LaVar you
over there by the water, Yeah, good start. It's been
a little chilly, but it has been a little bit
a little chill, but it's pretty right out today though,
you know, yeah, man, y'all ever.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
Noticed that days are longer on the West Coast than
they are on the East Coast. It's almost like two
days are built into one day if you live on
the West Coast versus it gets dark quick as all
get out on the East Coast. Kind of weird, but
it's like a weird phenomenon. I don't know if I'm
the only one that feels that way, but it seems
like it's like longer days in California.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
It's definitely a longer days. It seems like, uh, you know,
when you when you live on the East Coast and
it's you know, it's two o'clock in the afternoon and
you're doing drink wine. No, you can do business on
the West coast. But oh man, behind you know some
sea food.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
You know.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
It just feeling a little different.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
My footage shoulder man egle to show up overnight.

Speaker 5 (03:02):
I don't know what happened, but uh, I hope they
ain't the gout.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
I took my medicine before I came down to do
this shot. Hey man, because I can't eat red meat,
red meat, red wine.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
This man, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Bro, you're getting old, so you don't be eating steaks
and stuff. Who me, I do, but you shouldn't. Bruh.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
We drank like four bottles of red wine last night,
TJ like. We was at a Italian spot, uh, the
super super dope place too great. Met the owner, really
really cool people there, and we went out. I'm gonna
tell y'all the name in the second book. We jumped

(03:46):
up in there and we was just eating red wine.
Mike Perreira was up in there. He was chilling. He
was having a good time. But anyway, yeah, we we
eat red meat. But my my ankles go crazy. Bro,
my ankles, my toes, my neat like my joints. It's
just it's like an acid. You build up acid when

(04:10):
you do it. So anyway, it's called slay by the way,
slay steak, and I mean it is. Uh, we gotta go,
We gotta go there. Uh they took great care of us.
But hey, cool thing. And I know we're gonna get
to you know, we're gonna get to a lot of
stuff here people. Uh, we got to Zave your worthy
conversation coming that's gonna be talked. And we're going to

(04:31):
talk to Geno Smith in a couple of minutes. But
I gotta tell y'all, man, I picked my kids up
for spring break yesterday. So Man, Man and lay our
bugs are back in town. And Bro, I don't know
if you've seen Elijah yet since he's checked in.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
Elijah got home yesterday.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Bruh, I don't. I don't know if if receivers, transformations
and games are the same as defenders. But I seen
my yesterday, bruh, and it shook me to the core. Man,
shook me up, Man.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
And did the same thing to me, you're talking about
he basically been gone two months and already put on
eight pounds. Bruh Man put on twenty. His neck is
widening out. You're like, what is that about, bruh What.
I don't know if I could get him.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
I shuk his hand yesterday. I don't know if I
could get him. So now I'm gonna have to make
sure I had like some type of a bat or something,
just in case he tried to try me or something
or me and mister Stixa getting bruh Man is two
twenty right to twenty two right now from like two hundred.
He don't even look the same. But I'll tell you

(05:42):
if I if I could give any advice to anybody
who has a child that's trying to go play ball
at the next level and they're still in high school,
Hey start with the idea that they're gonna go early
and they're gonna be early in row leies. I think
it is the best thing ever. I know people may
fall on different sides of it, but getting in there, learning,

(06:04):
learning the schedule, learning how to do school, and getting
that winter conditioning and strength training, to me, that's the
biggest that's the biggest difference between incoming freshman in the
summer and incoming freshman that goes in and earlier yeah
man midyear in Roald Leeds. So anyway, let's talk some
football fellas. Geno Smith to the Raiders had a what

(06:29):
could could perceivably be a very very brilliant prolific career
at Seattle. I mean three seasons he's thrown at least
close to four thousand or over four thousand. From twenty
twenty two to twenty twenty four. Twenty two he did
two hundred and eighty two, and twenty three he did

(06:50):
three thousand, six hundred and twenty four, and then this
past season he did four thousand, three hundred and twenty.
He threw fifteen interceptions, but he threw for twenty one
one tds. This rating was it was in the nineties
and ninety three point two. Gino Smith is one of
those guys. I feel like he got the short end

(07:11):
of the stick because New York just just has has
been a wasteland for quarterbacks getting drafted, but had an
opportunity to kind of revive his career after you know,
getting a chance in Seattle, do you guys like this move,
Does this move the needle? Does this set the motion off?
For looking at the Las Vegas Raiders as now a

(07:36):
team that's going in the right direction. How do you guys,
how did you guys comprehend that that acquisition by the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
They're going in the right direction, but it doesn't move
the needle. Is not as if they gonna compete to
win the division. They gonna still be behind the Chiefs.
They still gonna be behind the Chargers, and they still
gonna be behind the Broncos. Like Geno Smith is much
better than what they had last year.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
Yeah, you can't go no lower. You can't go no
lower than the bottom. So they going in the right direct.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
No, Geno Smith is a better quarterback than what they
had last year.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
Okay, that's fair.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
Outside of Rock Bowers who he throw in to Rock Bowers,
Yakobe Myers, and so they are going to have to
do more. But it when you look Pete Carroll seems
to be a coach that he's comfortable with guys that
he's coached before, and he's always been a believer in
Gino Smith. He's the one that basically gave Gino a

(08:39):
new life in the NFL, and so that's always a
good thing, man, when you got a coach that really
believes in you, the way Pete Carle believes in Geno Smith.
But no offense. It's their division and the guys and
the teams and guys they competing with. You got Ma
Hoomes and Andy Reid, you got Harball and Herbert, you

(08:59):
got Bowden and Sean Payton, Like, yeah, you're moving in
the right direction.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
It just you moving slow, right.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
I think it gives the Raiders the opportunity to win
more than four games, as it did last year. I
think they went finished up four and thirteen. But if
you just look at the QB room, it's Gardner, minshew
Ate and O'Connell and Carter Bradley, So you would happen
they released him, Oh he's gone. Well he got have
to assume that that Geno Swift is going to be

(09:29):
the beat, the starting quarterback on opening day.

Speaker 5 (09:33):
And I get it.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
If you pick Carl uh, you know, they have familiarity together,
him and Gino. So I don't really think there's going
to be any decline or drop off as far as
him coming in and having an understanding of the offense.
Is going to be how quickly can they all you know,
get together and get on the same page. But just
just like you mentioned, you know, them playing in the

(09:56):
AFC West, I still believe that they don't make the playoffs.
They're going to be lasting the division. But as far
as you know, Geno Smith is concerned in this Raiders organization,
it gives them the best chance to win. Now, uh,
you know, we don't know who they're going to bring
in as far as the draft is concerned next month,

(10:16):
but it does give them the opportunity to at least
compete and you know, have a you know product on
a football field offensively that can go out there and
win more than four games. And you know, you look
at Pete Carroll going into this situation with the current
quarterbacks that they have on the roster, they weren't going
to win many football games. So I expect them at

(10:39):
least to go out and win. They score point six,
seven or maybe eight war points ship. But with the
quarterback when that they had before Geno Smith arrived, they
probably would have reciprocated what they did last year four
and thirteen.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Can I ask you guys this, I know we're up
on the but just super quick response duty. If you
are a Las Vegas Raider, you're the owner, you're the GM,
you're a player. What are your expectations like realistically speaking,
because I know we could look at it as a player.

(11:14):
As a player, you think you're going to win the
Super Bowl. I don't care how bad your team is.
For some strange reason, we're wired in a way where
we always think we're going to win the Super Bowl.
I remember John Mattin asked us where we're going to
win the super Bowl one year, and I told him,
one look at our roster. John Mattin, y'all know the
restless soul. Everybody knows that he was afraid of heights,

(11:37):
didn't fly, drove everywhere. That man said he would bungee
Cord out of the good year at the yard line
if Washington was playing in the Super Bowl. The year
he did that interview with me, and so he the truth,
the truth. I looked at him like, hey, you ain't
nass you know what I mean? Like I like kind

(11:58):
of said it in so many words after he said it,
that felt like you was clowning me. But if you're
a Raider, like all right, match just got his money
that's a good thing. Keep him happy. You bring in
Geno Smith, who like quietly is kept if you're looking
at this this free agency class, or who you were
going to trade for. And Matthew Stafford seemingly was the

(12:22):
biggest prize out there. He got, he got, you know,
rope back in to where he's already at with the
with the Rams. But if you're asking me, that is
a come up, Geno Smith is a come up in
terms of getting a quarterback in this market, this quarterback
market this year. I just wonder what what are the like,

(12:45):
what are your expectations if you are the Raiders, if
you're a player, you.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Have realistic expectations. That's the Joe, What do you think
that is? They gotta be really you got they gotta
we just I just they gotta gonna lose the Chargers,
the Bodcos and the Chiefs twice. Pete Currow is a
really good defensive coach, so they'll be competitive because he
can coach defense. He can coach the defensive side of
the ball. But you're going against teams and quarterbacks and

(13:15):
coaches that you're just out manned. You are that that
that that's just what it is. And that's just in
your division. We're not talking the entire AFC. That's just
in your division. You are out manned and he in
the Raiders they will be competitive. Pete Carroll is a
good coach, but yeah, players.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Come up with the Raiders acquired Geno Swift's not a
come up. A come up is you know them being
able to compete in this division. And I bet that
we would all agree. Geno Smiff is not a bad quarterback,
but he is probably ranked last in the division as

(14:01):
far as as far as being rated a quarterback.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Going to put him behind bow Next? I put him
above bow Next for now. I'm not going to put
him below bow Next.

Speaker 5 (14:12):
After what next?

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Like this team to the playoffs as a rookie, he's
below bow Knicks.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Dang.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
Geno Smith was in a division with Stafford Purdy and
the Niners were hurt. It's not bad and Kyler Murray
and they didn't get in and the NFC was weaker than.

Speaker 5 (14:31):
The a f C.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
I don't disagree with that.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Now bow Knicks is only going into a second year,
but fair is fair. I think Geno can play, He
really can. Yeah, I think he can play, no doubt.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
Too.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
As a as a rookie.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
So I would also say that he had a better
supporting cast in Seattle with DK, Tyler Lockett and smith
In and uh running back, So he had a better
you know, uh, you know players, skill position play, is
that than he will have in Las Vegas.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
Well, I'm glad you brought up DK Metcalf. We're gonna
talk to some DK Metcalf. Uh. He's uh, he's making
headlines again. Another one, another receiver. Y'all receivers are touched man.
Uh zay, you're worthy. We're gonna talk to Exavior Worthy
on the other side of this break, I wonder do
the fellas have some some advice for the young fella.

(15:24):
We'll we'll get into what took place with him. Uh,
this is up one game. That is mister t. J.
Huschman's out of and mister Plexico burst. I'm LeVar Arrington.
We're gonna take a quick break. Yeah. On other side
of the break, we're gonna talk some Xavier Worthy. Fox

We are in the tyreck dot Com studio. CJ. Huchman's

(16:36):
eyes puts Coburs, I'm LeVar Arrington. We're gonna talk DK
metcalf in a moment or two. We're also going to
get to well Joki, Yeah, Nicolay, he's cooking it up, bro,
and we're gonna talk about it cause finally TJ gets
an opportunity to thump his chest with his you know,
his his LA Lakers. But first let's let's talk about

(17:01):
this fellas you know, we talked about a lot at
length the Kansas City Chiefs and them going for three
peat for Super Bowl. Well, execer Worthy has now placed
the Kansas City Chiefs in a position where they may
go for three peak for next off season. For assaults

(17:26):
in the off season, I mean they got two in
a row. Now, you got got you got EXAVI, you're worthy. Now,
last year it was if y'all recall Rashi Rice with
with the Expressway aggravated assault collision. Uh, this one, this
one sounds pretty interesting, Fellas. It sounded like a kind

(17:49):
of a report from Hustle and Flow, you know whoop
that good them right, Like it's like one of them things.
I don't know the details of it, but it's said
allegedly he wasn't letting the person breathe that was in
the household with him, now household, family member or just
a member of the household. Sounds like it could be

(18:10):
a girlfriend or some boyfriend. I don't know what these days,
you just don't know what's what. But it sounds as
though he was choking the person. Now I don't know
the details, that's what, just what it sounds like. But Fellas,
this is two years in a row where you got
a Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver running amok in the

(18:33):
off season. What first, what's going on in Kansas City?
What they got going on in that receiver room? Something
needs to take place there. Y'all need to talk to
these boys. But secondly, what's the advice you're going to
give to a guy like Xavier Worthy? Young guy, bright, future,
talented guy seemingly is in position to be the main
guy for this Kansas City Chiefs team and now does

(18:55):
something that could potentially blemish and hurt his reputation moving forward?
What say you, guys?

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Man, listen, this is simple. Why what like? What like?
Do you not watch TV, look at social media and
see in the off season because you have so much
time on your hands or you just have way more
free time? Like first and foremost, if it's your girlfriend,

(19:25):
I had no sympathy for you. Don't put your hand
on the woman because I pray, man, and I've been lucky. Man,
I got three daughters. Man, you touch my child, I'm
pulling up on you. And whatever happened happens. I lived
my life. I swear to God, I swear to God,
You're gonna see me on the news, I promise you.
And so you got fathers that are like me, you
better tread very carefully. I hope, I hope it isn't

(19:50):
with his girlfriend.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
It is not with a girlfriend. It was a family member.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Andre aleg they're ALLEGI I don't know.

Speaker 5 (19:58):
What it is.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
It just I just think, man, when when you start,
if it's a family member one, what was it over,
you would assume they want you to do more for
them than what you're doing in the house before they
feel like your money is their money. If it's a male,
I have no problem with anything, because, uh, you gotta

(20:21):
be given respect. And I just think when you make
it to the league, a lot of family members feel
like what you have they had too. And that's not
the case. That that is not the case. Like I'll
give you some things and I'll do things for you,
but it is not like a water fountain where you
just turn a water on and it's unlimited. Water just
comes out.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
No.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
No, I've worked for this and I just don't know
enough about what it is to really comment on it.
But I wish him the best. I got to know
him a little bit. He seems like he's a good
kid man It's just unfortunate, but this happens every off
season when you just have more free time in the league.

(21:01):
They try to give guys activities to do. There's just
something guys aren't aware that. There's so many things that
the league puts on. Broadcast boot Camp. If you want
to be an actor, they do a three day weekend
out here in LA where you can come do some acting.
I'm with some real time producers. They got so much
going on in the off season. You just got to

(21:23):
be aware of it. So now you can occupy your
time so you don't have so much free time to
where you're bored and you start getting in trouble. You're
around people more than you need to be around them.

Speaker 4 (21:35):
Yeah, man, just based off of you know, everything that
has come out or you know people, what people are saying.
It was a male family member and they're basically saying
that with the charges that he has been charged with,
is basically like applying pressure to a person.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
A male family member, so he really called the police
on you.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
Is basically characterized as applying produce to a person's throat
or next you know, right, So whatever happened inside the house, man,
you never know, Man, it's probably over game of whose
spades Domino. You just never know, uh, you know how
we got to this point. But it's uh, you know,

(22:18):
the you know, things like this happen, and people and
families and households, and especially especially when you get to
talking about you know, entitlement and you know, people thinking
you may over them certain things or whatever the case
may be. Man, nobody wants to see this. And I'm
pretty sure that you know, he's aware of it. And

(22:40):
and you know, these things, these little incidents like this,
you know, they get blown out of proportion until we
get the real facts of exactly what happens. But hopefully
for him, man, it's nothing too serious where you know,
it doesn't cost him, you know, being suspended or being
away from a team, and he can just get back
to playing football.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
Oh so, if it's a family member that did this,
you wrong somebody, you deserve to get slapped in the
face one more time, not not punched, You deserve to
be slapped. A'thing saying that's that's that's straight punk action.
If you ask me, I didn't shot plenty of fades
with family members in the house. Man, What happens in
the house with your family members in that regard stays

(23:22):
in the house. I mean it's been. It's been from wrestling,
you know, like you know how old school you used
to try to break them down. You know, you get
up under the under the arm wings and stuff like that,
like get up off meg, you can get up off meeting. Yeah,
we didn't got you know, we didn't pause, we didn't
got naked. Hey, you know, when you don't really want
to fight somebody, like you be get ready to lock

(23:44):
up with a family member or one of your people,
you start taking your shirt off, like I don't want
to mess my shirt up. I don't want to mess
my glasses, I don't want to break my jewelry. Like
it takes you like ten minutes to get to the
point of where y'all really gonna start squaring up. Hey, man,
if y'all had like a real one like that and
this turned into that you a phony for that man,
you will be banished. You you're going to be.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
Family man to go to this is crazy man getting
by your own family MovementISM.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
We might have to think your money is their money.
They think your success is their success. They think all
that hard work you put in is the hard work
that they put in. No, no, like pew understand.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
Want you here. I don't think you along here. You
here because we chose for you to be here with us.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
That how much work goes into making it like you
gotta work your ass off, man, it's not easy. You
you got you doing all this training, the physical part.
You got to be strong mentally because the physical part
is breaking you there. It's a lot that goes into
that that the people don't want to do, they can't do.
They're not willing to walk through that fire to get there,

(24:57):
but when you get there, they feel like they walked
the fire because you walked through the fire.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
We I don't work that way. We made it. Well,
let's get a couple more Everybody can't go, man, everybody
can't go, and everybody certainly ain't invited.

Speaker 6 (25:12):
I loo.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
Let's get an update. Let's get an update from Ilo. Yeah, guys,
I have a couple more details week on this as well.

Speaker 7 (25:19):
We do have some We do have some new details
that just came down through a statement issued by Worthy
attorneys in the last few moments. So I'll relay those
details to you guys in a moment because I know
you're gonna want to continue to discuss this in the meantime.
A couple of other NFL notes today, Buffalo Bill's defensive
end Greg Russeau agreeing to a four year extension where

(25:41):
it reported eighty million dollars with fifty four million guaranteed,
the Cincinnati Bengals resigning tight end Mikeasiki on a three
year deal worth reporting you have twenty five million dollars.
And the New York Giants have officially resigned quarterback Tommy DeVito. Now,
as you guys have been discussing, Kansas City chiefs receiver
Xavier Worthy arrest did friday night in Williamson County, Texas

(26:03):
on a felony charge of assault against a family or
household member by impeding their breathing or circulation. Now, within
the last few moments were these attorneys issued a statement reading,
and I quote, we are working with law enforcement to
ensure they have the benefit of the totality of the
circumstances that led to this allegation. The complainant was recently

(26:28):
asked to vacate mister Worthy's residents upon discovery of her infidelity.
She refused to do so and made a number of
extorted extortative efforts prior to resorting to this baseless allegation
unquote again that a statement attorneys.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
She she gotta go get get up out of here,
get out of here.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
Man obviously told her.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
To get up out of it there, Shane wan.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Lee, he ain't put see this. This is what I
hate man and we all know this.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
She should have to do the time. That's like I'm
gonna say, I'm gonna put it out there.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
She's ever said this, She's already cost him for his reputation,
Like he can never get this back because oh he
put hands on a woman. Don't cheat, don't be putting
a situation.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
It's such a it's such. It is such the go
to movement for these types of situations. What they do,
it is such, it is And my.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
Whole nothing happens to the women when they do this.
Nothing never happens to them, TJ. That's that I'm telling
you that.

Speaker 5 (27:34):
We never have a storm.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
This ain't no news updated. We we could cut the
music on this. Let me tell you something. I've been
saying this for a really really long time. I've been
saying this for a really really long time. You just
said it, TJ. Nothing happens you can claim. You can
claim the most egregious acts that take place against you

(27:56):
and and for every person that it truly happened to.
You take away from the legitimacy of when these claims
are made by being one of those falsified, phony ass
people that do this. I can't stand a person that
tries to leverage this lane to get what they want

(28:17):
out of a situation. And if that's what the situation is.
I always say, for those who really have done these things,
I hope you go to jail, and I hope you
do the time for what it is that you did,
because you're you're you're not a good person, and there's
no reason for you to be walking around free. You
pay your your your debt to society, you go sit

(28:39):
down and you think about what it is that you did.
But for the ones who didn't and somebody's leveraging you,
they're leveraging what what they have going on with you
and doing it that way, they should have to do
the time that the person that got that got accused
and has to fight for their freedom and and fight

(29:00):
to be innocent. The person who makes the claim should
have to do the time. I'm sorry. And the reason
why I feel that way is because it's too reckless.
These people be out here on some reckless action talking
about what these guys are doing to them and how
it's being done, and this and that and that don't

(29:22):
even be It doesn't even equate to even close to
what it is in reality, to what it is in reality.
And in some cases, the person that's making the claims
are the most abusive person in the relationship to begin with,
and nothing happens. Like you said, it's like, okay, this
person has to fight for their freedom and they got

(29:44):
to fight for their reputation, which, by by all intensive purposes,
I think we would all agree your reputation is ruined.
You are guilty as charged by the public, by public assumption,
by by by public opinion before anything is ever taken place.
When this stuff hits the media, you're already being judged

(30:04):
before the law says what it's going to say. So
now you've ruined this person's reputation. You may have ruined
this kid's opportunity to make more money in a circumstance
because you say, okay, well there's character issues connected to
the guy. You have truly hurt the brand and the
value of this person by making these these reckless claims

(30:26):
if it is not true, and I stated, if it
is not true, if you are leveraging it that way,
I got a problem with that, man, I really do,
because you hear about this way too often. It happens
way too often. So to me, fellas, if that's what
this is turning out is that would like, oh, you

(30:47):
got to leave because you was doing what you was doing.
You you up in my crib and you're doing you
and I tell you gotta go now. I ain't saying
you gotta You need to be choking nobody, because that
ain't what needs to happen. I ain't saying that he
probably should have handled it differently, like called up.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
It's just about it there if he didn't do what
is alleged, But immediately he gets rest and you go
to jail immediately, like it's no questions asked, Oh she
said this, You're going to jail. I didn't do that.
You're going to jail. I didn't touch it. You're going
to jail. Why I called out? They got called out,

(31:28):
they come to the house.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
If they get called out and they come to the house,
somebody's going there, somebody's going to the station, somebody going
to get that mug shop.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Man, these man, we we gotta deal with people. We
we we we gotta deal with people as men like that,
genuinely like this. This is this this social media wave, man,
where you get on social media, you DM a young
lady and oh she looked. Man, she has no morals,
no integrity. And that's what he's dudes, is getting caught

(32:01):
up in.

Speaker 5 (32:01):
Man.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
You got to get you a young lady, man that
comes from a good family, that has some type of morals.

Speaker 5 (32:06):
Man, Tom, you have to, you have to.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
You're gonna see a pretty face every time you get
on one of these sites. But if they got no morals,
the most beautiful person in the world, somebody tired of
dealing with them. If you got to get to know somebody, whoever,
whoever we lust over, somebody is tired of dealing with them.
And so if you don't have a friendship and they

(32:33):
don't have morals, and you don't have any type of
integrity yourself, it's not gonna last. That beauty gonna fade.
I don't care who she is or who he is.
It's gonna fade. We all been married a long time
and we love our wives. If we didn't have that foundation,
we wouldn't be married.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
M Yeah, well, and it gets tense with with with them,
you know what I mean, Like that's why you got
that foundations. Emotions can run high at times, you know
what I mean, Like when there's passion involved, you got
to be responsible and sometimes you get caught in a
moment and and you got to be able to really

(33:12):
really know when when that that moment comes where like
I've run right, hey y'all, I'm gonna give y'all fool Look,
I'm being fully transparent before we go to the break.
I've had situations where hey, bro, hey bro, ran like

(33:32):
make or even matter bruh, run away, run away, Like
you get caught up in a situation where you feel
like you're about to have to use physical force with
what's going on or anything like that. Run away. That's
I'll tell you, Hey, that's the final ay, that's the
final thought on that. Don't put your hands on her

(33:53):
for good or for bad unless you're trying to kill you.
If it's imminent imminent danger, then then you know it
is what it is. You know the all bets are off.
But if it ain't that run. Speaking of running, we're
gonna run to a break. On the other side of
the break, we're gonna talk. DK metcalf Man. He had
some interesting timing. Somebody felt a certain type of way
about that timing. We wanna talk about it is up

(34:13):
on Games. T J. Hitchman's Eyes, Plexico Burts. I'm LeVar Arrington.
If I offended you with anything that I said, just now,
I don't care. It's our show. We get to say
it how we want to say it. We shoot from
the hip. That's why it's up on Game. I think
we just put you up on Games. Fox Sports Radio
We'll be right back.

Speaker 3 (34:42):

Speaker 2 (34:46):
Makes my big toe hurt.

Speaker 3 (34:48):
Bet, but I'm still going to sip on it. Drink
like four bottles last night. Hey, what's up everybody? It's
up on Game. We are back. Yeah. We are in
the tyrack dot com studio as well as Plexico Burd's
is TJ Hushman's I'm lavarn Arrington Fellas. Before we get
to the end of this hour, let's talk about this

(35:10):
whole DK Metcalf deal. Right, So he comes out, he
request the trade. He doesn't have any guarantees in his contract.
Moving forward from here, But Tyler Lockett was just released
from the Seattle Seahawks. Had an amazing, amazing career. Shouts
out to Tyler, I played with his dad, big cav
but lot, No, he's not done. He's not done. But

(35:33):
he was released. But it's interesting because basically Snyder, the
GM of the Seattle Seahawks, had some very very kind
of emotional, maybe pointed, you know, comments and a statement
towards DK Metcalf for saying what he had to say.

(35:56):
Here's what he had to say about DK saying he
wants to be traded when ty Lockett was just being
released by Seattle.

Speaker 6 (36:02):
Probably not intentional, but very disappointed in the timing. Uh,
you know, we wanted this to be a very special day.
We wanted to be you know, Tyler Lockett day. We've
had cap casually very famous, uh, extremely important legends that
have been that have been you know, cap casually individuals
that we you know, probably could have handled a little
bit different in the past, So we want him to

(36:25):
handle Tyler's situation as classy as we possibly could. So yeah,
you know, I was, we all, we all were very
excited for, you know, to have this really nice day
for Tyler, to celebrate Tyler.

Speaker 2 (36:38):
And uh, yeah, I'd be lying if I you know,
I felt back for Tyler.

Speaker 6 (36:43):
You know the TVs you know all about uh DK
instead of uh instead of Tyler Lockett, and uh, you know,
it kind of actually goes you know, it correlates with
his his whole career. This guy is one of the
most underrated wide receivers in NFL history.

Speaker 3 (37:01):
I'm confused. We aren't we talking about you firing this man.
We want this to be Tyler Lockett day. Like, what
do you mean you want to do? What you firing him?
Like if you think that highly of it, restructure his contract,
give him another offer. You're letting him go. You're basically saying, hey, DK,

(37:24):
can you not talk about business for now because we're
firing your teammates, So can you just wait a little
while before you say anything, because we want this to
be all about us firing Tyler Lockett and telling them
the general public that he's a great guy. He had
a great career here for us, but we're getting rid
of you because we don't want to pay you. Like,
did I read this wrong? How did I miss the

(37:47):
the what's the true messaging behind firing one of your
beloved players on the team?

Speaker 2 (37:53):
I don't get it. How does that work? I mean
they tried to fine with dignity.

Speaker 5 (37:58):
I guess.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
Listen, if you don't want DK, if you don't want
DK to do and say what he said that you
know he's available to be traded, and don't tell him
at the same time you plan on release and like
it very simple, don't relay that message to d K
if you know you're about to release Tyler Lockett. That's

(38:21):
very simple. Yeah, it's on you told DK's people, Okay,
we give them permission to seek the trader whatever it was,
and then we're gonna release Tyler Lockett. So that's on
you as well. You That ain't just on him. He
had to get that information from somebody and so they're
both at fault. If you wanted to be you know,

(38:41):
Tyler Locket to feel good about himself because he's been released.
Nobody feels good about themselves when they've been released. I
don't care what you say great about me, because if
it was that great, you wouldn't be releasing me.

Speaker 4 (38:52):
Correct exactly everything that he just said, I was saying
to myself the same thing that y'all guys was thinking.
He said that we could have handled some some situations
better with with you know, releasing players. Bobby Wagner, I mean,
you're talking about the first battlet Hall of Famer that
you just let let walk out the door a year ago.

(39:14):
It's been a very bad week for John Snyder in
the Seattle Seahawks. You lose your head coach, Pete Carroll,
Gino smith is on his way to the Las Vegas Raiders.
DK Metcalf wants to be traded. You release Tyler Lockett.
So now you don't have a head coach, a quarterback,
or two wide receivers, you know, moving forward, and Jackson

(39:35):
Smithy is looking over there like, yo, what in the
hell is going on around here in Seattle? So I
don't understand you know, how you can glorify releasing a
young man after you just sit there and say that
he is one of the most underrated wide receivers in
NFL history, We find a way to keep them on
your roster. So that's what I don't understand. We do

(39:57):
not celebrate as professional app fleets in any sport.

Speaker 2 (40:02):
I don't care what it is of being released or fied.

Speaker 4 (40:06):
So there's no celebration John Snyder in the Tyler Lockett household.
So find a way to build a new football team.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
Hey man, they say he wanted to call it Tyler
Lockett Day. Please do a day after me? Were you
firing me?

Speaker 5 (40:24):

Speaker 3 (40:27):
Let's get a little let's get let's get that clear. Man. Listen,
it is what it is. Hey, we're gonna go to
our two. We got basketball, We're gonna talk a couple
other things. This is up on game Fox Sports Radio.
