(01:17):
I'm certain of that we got my man coming on
in a matter of moments. Cuffs the legend from some
Dude show the podcast, Uh, it's a lot to get to, man,
speaking of a lot to get to the NBA is uh, Well,
the finals are here. Game one is in the books,
so let's talk about it. But first let's bring them
(01:39):
in before we get going. When you hear this, you
know what time it is?
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Now it's time to check in with Cuffs The legend
from some dude show podcast on up on Game presents,
Cuffs is giving you a spicy takes. What's going down
to pick the heat like Lebron and now here's Cuff.
Don't let you it's go town.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
You know, I always feel like we like releasing the
cracking when when we hear that that intro coming in.
How you feeling, Cuffs?
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Man?
Speaker 3 (02:14):
How? How how you know? Are y'all recovered? Like I'll
pose this to all of y'all. Are y'all recovered from
the fallout of the Indiana Pacers? Handle out? Y'all's an okay?
See thunder guy that cups? How you doing? How you doing?
And and do y'all want to get a group coom
by y'all hug to you know, feel better about what
(02:36):
y'all was talking last fallout.
Speaker 6 (02:41):
Shout out to y'all. My up on game, my up
on game. Brothers in Christ, Yes, I want to say
Teams Light Skin, Me and TJ we up one on
right now because that kid from os costs Wisconsin tyl
Rey's Halberburton. For everybody out there that's saying or even
questioning the fact that that kid is a superstar not
(03:03):
I think he showed the entire basketball world in Game
one that's what a superstar is made of. He has
the fabric of a superstar. He had the clutch gen
you know, all these years Skip Bayless and these guys
talk about clutch jeans. He's shown the entire basketball world,
like what four or five times this postseason that he's
that guy.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
M Pascal Siakam is the guy for all the dark
skinned brothers out there. He's represented in fact, if you're
you're if you're superstar, mister Halliburton some way, somehow is
on the side of the winning team in this finals.
Uh you know game matchup. Uh it will be Sam
so far after Game one that would get the m
(03:45):
v P once again. So you're like brother in that
Christ and you would have said that this man hit
a game winner. That doesn't make you the m v
P man. If you want you got it does not.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
It does not.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
You gotta be close enough to win the game. You
can't sit there and say this man is a superstar. Clutch.
You can give him clutch. You cannot give him he's
the superstar. He's not even star on his team. Right, Yes,
Nie Smith, Nie Smith, no hate Nie Smith, and are
the reason and you and you can go topping in
there the bar stop stop, PA, Come on.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
So okay, there's so many things to unpack from this
basketball game that I'm just trying to, you know, uh,
put together. The Indiana Pacers beat the OKC Thunder and
basically every category which is uncharacter risking for them, and
Lou Door hit five threes and.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
They were in the game.
Speaker 5 (04:50):
Lou Dort is not going to hit five threes probably
ever again in his life, let alone. The NBA Finals
rebounds fifty fifty six to thirty nine, offensive rebounds thirteen
to ten, defensive rebounds forty three to twenty nine, assists.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Twenty four to thirteen.
Speaker 5 (05:10):
And you know what the most staggering stat of it
all is, then, they out of places, had twenty.
Speaker 7 (05:17):
Four turnovers yes yes, and twenty two fouls and was
still in the basketball game with twenty four less possessions.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
And was down fifteen at one point. Don't come on, man,
don't forget to have it about fifteen and.
Speaker 6 (05:36):
To touch on that plack. They had twenty four turnovers.
Not only that, but the Pacers we've seen them all
year be like as uptempo team, fast paced team. They
only had thirteen transition points in game one. That's the
lowest they've had this whole entire playoff run. And when
I watched this team, it's almost as if the Pacers
don't really lock in and get serious until they're down
(05:57):
at least fifteen points. I never seen anything like this.
This is the fifth comeback. This is the fifth comeback.
They've had a fifteen or more this playoff. Bro, we
haven't seen that since nineteen ninety eight. They are really
the comeback kids. And I don't know if y'all saw
the little exchange in a tunnel after the game with
Siakam and Halliburton, but Halliburton said, let's get greedy because
(06:18):
they know they didn't play well, and they still came
in there and told the game one, I like.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
Did you see did you see what Siakam said to
him back in the in the in the tunnel though,
did you hear what? Did you hear what he said?
I'm the captain of this ship.
Speaker 5 (06:34):
Now, hey, come, let me ask you a question, man
going in the game two. Len't to ask your question
man going in the game too. Everybody knows that obviously
SGA's the MVP, and OKC is the favorite, you know,
to win this series. But can you see that maybe
(06:54):
the OKC thunder may get a little out of character
tonight in game two and just give the ball to
Shade and be like, you know what, man, go be
the MVP and win us a basketball game. And it
may be a possibility that, you know, everything can unravel
(07:14):
in game two. But I think that they're gonna lean
on Shame like doing what dog, Go be the MVP
of this league and go get us a win tonight.
Speaker 6 (07:23):
It's a good point.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Black.
Speaker 6 (07:24):
So what I saw in game one down the stretch
that last five minutes, it seems like when the game
got tight down the stretch, everybody on the floor besides SGA,
they also got tight. If you watch it, they were
looking for SGA to go get them a bucket and
bail them out. And they need more from Check Hongram
this game too. He only had six points in game one.
He had six rebounds. That's not bad, but they need
(07:46):
more from Check and they need more from Hartenstein because
if you watch the film, Rick Carlile is a mastermind.
He put he put Hartenstein in a lot of actions
on that pick and roll. He went small. That's why
Obie Topping was able to provide a lot of outside shooting.
That's gonna be the difference in this game. Also, j
Dubb Jalen Wims. He had seventeen points, but he was
(08:10):
six for nineteen. That's not gonna cut it. So SGA
we know he gonna have at least thirty or more
in game two. He wasn't really efficient in game one.
He was chucking a lot of shots. He missed a
lot of shots. But I think he's gonna have to
get up supporting cast because you can't count on lou
Dord to hit five threes every game. And Okayc's gonna
need more from their bench. They're gonna need more from
(08:30):
their bench in game two as well, because they didn't
I think they got outscored like thirty nine to twenty
eight bench points wise. And y'all remember Snapple right to
drink snapplepleat. I gotta, I gotta. I got a some
d fact for y'all. Thomas Bryant. Right, you've seen Thomas
Bryant for the Pacers. Thomas Bryant is three wins away
(08:54):
from having more championship rings than Jokic, Dirk Nowinsky, Kavin,
Jerry Wentz, doctor j and Oscar Robinson. Just some food
fits on for Y'allhen y'all watching these games, Thomas Bryant
is three wins away from having two championship rings.
Speaker 3 (09:10):
Mmm, I'm curious to know to know this Cuffs looking
at how the game played out for Game one. I
know last week we were talking about how it's almost
a foregone conclusion OKAC is going to win the series
and and that they could be good for quite some time,
(09:33):
could actually come back and do it again this you
know multiple years? What happens if Indiana wins this this series?
Like what what is the what are what? What what
is the storyline? Like, what do you come out saying, Okay, Indy,
the Pacers won this game. What do we say if
they beat a team that people are speaking so highly about,
(09:56):
and what the future holds for the OKC Thunder.
Speaker 6 (10:00):
I think it's gonna change if the Pacers do somehow
go up to Oh, all the pressure in the world's
going to be on this Oklahoma City Thunder. Like you said,
we thought they were the clear cut favorite to win this.
But it just shows me that the NBA is changing,
Like it's all about roster construction. Now. If you look
at this Pacers team, they got a lot of men
major guys on their team. Obie Topping came from a
(10:21):
men major. He went to Dayton, TJ. McConnell. He was
unranked out of high school. He went to Arizona, but
he was under he was under ranked, like he was
very low ranked coming out of high school. Ben Shepherd
mid major, Tyree Taliburton, he was underrated at Iowa State.
Pascal y'all can win to New Mexico State unranked coming
out of high school men major. And Kevin Pritchard and
(10:44):
the organization, the Indiana Pacers organization has done a masterful
job of just putting the pieces together. Like look at
Andrew Neimhard, He's become like really my favorite player on
the Pacers outside of Halliburton, because if you look at
Andrew Demhard, he can he can be a starting caliber
point guard for a lot of other teams. He's showing that.
(11:05):
I know y'all seen the move to combo he put
on SGA at the end right there with the row.
That shows me that he's done that a lot of times.
And those Team Canada practices. Those guys are from Canada.
They grew up playing with each other. That was his
moment because I feel like nim Hart has always been
an underdog, even when you go back and watch his
(11:25):
Gonzaga tapes, He's always been this player. But for some reason,
Andrew Nimhart has never really gotten the credit he deserved
for what he can do. He's a two way guard.
He can move to puppies, he can play defense, big
shot maker. I love the way this team has been constructed,
and I think that's the resounding message that they're sending
into the basketball world is it's no longer this old
(11:46):
model of getting one star or trying to get a
big three or a big two. You gotta have a
complete team that can play forty eight minutes. This team
is resilient. They played the entire game. They never quit.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
Actually just come out and there say, Man, you're just a
fan of all the light skin play.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
Hey you heard TJ getting all up in the arms. Hey,
them kinds of light skins you night.
Speaker 6 (12:12):
Hey, you're quick speaking of that happy birthday fifty years old.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
Today, birthday, Hey, y'all, Man, chick birthday, Chuck Man. Man,
you know we love you man, no doubt about it. Man,
seven five seven Man, And just being a part of
the whole journey of him growing up man and playing
against him and all of these things.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
Man.
Speaker 5 (12:37):
Just shout out to Chuck Man and what he what
he what he meant to me? Uh, the whole state
of Virginia, the peninsula tie water Man, Man, we love
you man.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Yeah, what was you gonna ask?
Speaker 2 (12:51):
TJ?
Speaker 4 (12:51):
Well Haller Burton is a bonafide superstar. By the way,
y'all keep glossing over the fact that he bonafied.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
What do you make? What do you make of?
Speaker 4 (13:02):
How many people are watching the finals like great game
one loess view finals in years.
Speaker 6 (13:12):
It's a good question. I'm glad you brought it up
to that. I saw, I saw the ratings, the numbers,
and it just shows me that a lot of people
don't love basketball like they say they do. For us
real basketball purists, the people who really live and breeze basketball,
we don't really care about the ratings that much as
long as we get to enjoy this. But I will
(13:33):
say a lot of casual fans they missed the absolute
classic in game one, and I think we're gonna see
a ratings bump in game two, because we know how
fans are, a lot of people just ride the way.
They just they waited, They wait to see Twitter and
they wait to see what happens. So I think a
lot of fans, a lot of casual fans going to
show up for Game two. So you should see a
(13:55):
rating spiking game two. But that Game one, man, that's
that's one. That's one for the agent. So I hate
that a lot of casual basketball fans missed out on
that one because we got a we got a legendary
game in game one.
Speaker 5 (14:08):
Hey man, you know what, I'm sitting down, you know,
watching Game one, and I realized something about the OKC
Thunder is that this team, those guys on the floor
with SGA, they depend on his consistency. Man, you know,
he's the master of the mid range and he has
(14:28):
the fifteen to eighteen foot but they will rely on
him to get to thirty eight points or whatever the
case may be without shooting three pointers.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
And if he's not.
Speaker 5 (14:39):
Consistent, and if he's not you know, knocking down that
mid range game, it puts a lot of pressure on
OKC to play a brand of basketball that they are
not used to, and that's being sped up because you
can't speak SGA up. And if he's he's not knocking
(15:01):
down that fifteen to eighteen full of that mid range
and his consistency is not there for this offense, they
are going to struggle.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
They need him to be.
Speaker 5 (15:13):
You know, that mid range games player to get to
thirty or thirty five without shooting threes.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
But if he's not, you know, consistent, it puts a lot.
Speaker 5 (15:23):
Of pressure on these other guys to get be out
of character, do things that they're not used to and
being sped up offensively when he has the ball.
Speaker 6 (15:32):
If he's not scoring, I think I think the spotlight
in game two plaques the spotlight that got it I'm
looking at in game two. He has to step up.
And I said it earlier, but j Dubb, Jalen Wims.
He was the first time All Star this year. You
know you're getting up, You're starting to get the accolades.
He's starting to be in TV commercials here and there,
Jalen Wims. Now is the time to shine my brothers, Like,
(15:54):
you have to show up in game two because, like
you said, SGA has been carrying y'all speaking of Alan Iverson,
that's who. That's who they're starting to look like. You
remember that Sixers team that went to the finals where
was Eric snow mckeem.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Was played defensive rebound for him.
Speaker 6 (16:10):
Yeah, yeah, they had a bunch of glue guys, Matt Geiger,
you know, Tyrone Hill in game one. In game one,
the Thunder kind of look they kind of looked like
that type of team where everything was on SGA shoulders.
And if you look at the Pacers in game one,
you had six guys in double digits. Y'allam had nineteen
even top called open top second leader. Yeah, Turner had fifteen,
(16:35):
Halliburton fourteen, nim Hard fourteen, Nie Smith with ten. So
you're gonna have to get ballot scoring in game in
game two, and like I said earlier as well, Chet
you cannot come out here and get six points. Check,
you can't have six points.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
Yeah, he's lost that. The Sixers lost that series two,
by the way, But I ain't want to say anything
that like history may repeat itself if they remind you
of the drawing, the comparison, they remind you of that seventh. Hey, hey,
we'll continue to do a professional I got you a professional.
I'm gonna take a quick break and go try to
find my professionalism because I clearly offended some light skin
(17:11):
cats during this segment. But hey, while we take that
break and everybody gets a chance to calm down and
I go find my professionalism. Uh, we will be coming
back talking some more NBA, some more basketball. All right,

Brown with an update. What you got my guy?
Speaker 8 (18:50):
Uh oh oh sorry, sorry, I thought you were gonna
do ten more minutes on the Penn State Athletic corrector.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Oh well, speaking of since you mentioned it.
Speaker 8 (19:02):
Cop, so you should have heard this guy last hour.
I'll hear it on the podcast anyway. I digress today.
Twenty one year old American Coco GoF won the French Open.
Here is how Madge points sounded on radio Roland Garros.
Speaker 6 (19:15):
Championship points at five to four, save down the tea,
the full head from Satelenca, the forehead from golf.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
This is a short mid court bullflog into the court.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
She wants the full hand era.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
She hasn't got it in chops up with satellinca andly
misjudged it Seblanca to be sent in the backhand cross.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Because she's list scuff shot.
Speaker 6 (19:34):
Shit him.
Speaker 8 (19:37):
It is Gov's second career Grand Slam title. She also
won the US Open in twenty twenty three.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
In Game two of the.
Speaker 8 (19:43):
Stanley Cup Final on Friday night, Brad Marsham's double overtime
goal gave the Florida Panthers a five to four victory
at Edmonton, tying the series at one.
Speaker 6 (19:52):
Now.
Speaker 8 (19:52):
Earlier, we heard how the game winners sounded on the
Panthers radio broadcast, then on the Spanish broadcast. Here's how
it sounded in French.
Speaker 5 (20:11):
Hell fall.
Speaker 3 (20:21):
What apparently he scored? Yeah, okay, okay, that's what I
was thinking.
Speaker 8 (20:26):
I put that into Google translator.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
Apparently it said he scored. He scored.
Speaker 8 (20:32):
Okay, we we need to get more exciting here in
the States, is all I'm saying, folks. Finally in Major
League Baseball. The Philadelphia Phillies today places Bryce Harper on
the ten day injured list with right wrist inflammation. The
Los Angeles Dodgers just plays pitcher Tony gonsol In, one
of their starting pitchers on the injured list with right
elbow discomfort. One game going on right now. The Cubs
have a one nothing lean lead at Detroit in the
(20:54):
top half of the second edning. Guys, back to you,
appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
I loo enjoy your day and all the things you
do and give a good We are Penn State while
you're out there and enjoying your Saturday. All right, back
to you, guys. There's been a lot of conversation again
from from what's taking place out of Game one? What
do you guys expect to see in Game two? Knowing
(21:18):
what we saw happen in Game one and knowing the
idea that the Pacers are to come back kids, the
okac are the favorites and the heavyweight, So how should
we be viewing this this next game coming up?
Speaker 4 (21:32):
If it wasn't a sense of urgency for the Thunder
in game one, it will be a great sense of urgency.
They go down though two it's over and they know that, Hey.
Speaker 5 (21:43):
I'm gonna tell you like this, man, Anyana Pacers are
walking around with this aura of you know what, we're
gonna what they asked.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
I really believe that's how they feeling, man.
Speaker 5 (21:55):
I mean, it's the craziest thing to watch from an
emotional standpoint. If you look at the last two games
between the OKC Thunder and the Pacers, it was one
twenty three to one oh six, one twenty two to
one oh seven, and Shane is averaging thirty eight points
(22:16):
and twelve rebounds against the Pacers during the regular season,
and you put it all together, twenty four turnovers, lou
Dort makes five threes, and they still find a way
to win a basketball game with twenty four left turnovers.
If I'm the OKC Thunder, I'm worried because Shae is
(22:39):
not going to, you know, consistently give you thirty eight
forty points a game against this team. And now he's
at his best, he's best playing in the world. And
you lose a game one obviously on a buzzer beater.
But I'm gonna tell you, man, Look, these guys are
walking around and they are not a afraid of the
(23:01):
stage and the moment that they're on, and they know
they gonna give the OKC something the best effort tonight
because they know if they knocked them out tonight and Okay,
he's going to go down to OH.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
This series is over on the road. By the way,
ok se going down to OH at home. That that's
a major I mean, cuffs how I mean, listen, I
made the point. I guess sometimes in the first game
or you know, you figure the magnitude. Both of these
teams are here for the first time in quite some time.
Okayc's first. This is their first time being in the finals,
(23:37):
right or did they make it with KD and them
guys KD, Right, Yeah, they made it. It's been a while.
It could have been a big, like a big moment
for OKC where it's like, hey, we're at home. There's
a lot of pressure where in the finals, dot to die.
They might have played well better if they were on
the road in a hostile environment. But how important is
(23:58):
it for them to get one game in OKAC before
they go on the road.
Speaker 6 (24:04):
I think Game two is gonna be an absolute war man, because,
like y'all say, the Pacers do have supreme confidence now
and they hit okay see with that gut punch, just
like they hit the New York Knicks with the same
gut punch in Game one in that series. And with
OKC being the youngest team in the league, now, they're
(24:25):
gonna have to show us what they're really made of.
Like they're the youngest team. They had the most wins
this year. They've been riding high. They've been they've been
front winning. You know, they had to lead in pretty
much every series. They've been in control, but now they're
no longer in control, and it's a crazy turn of events. Well,
let me ask y'all. Do y'all agree with head coach
Mark dagnov Like in Game one he switched his starting lineup,
(24:49):
He took heart and found out of the starting lineup.
I don't necessarily like that move because icewal like, you
gotta keep the same lineup that got you here, and
change his starting lineup, and he bench Hartenstein in place
of Cason Wallace. And if you go back and look
at that key stretch the last two minutes when nim
Hard he hit the three pointer to cut it a three,
(25:11):
and then I think the following play he shot an
air ball and Seeyatkam got the crucial offensive rebound. And
it was because they didn't have any bigs in the game,
they didn't have any size. I think that starting lineup
switch kind of came back to bite the Oklahoma City
Thunder from an energy standpoint, from a chemistry standpoint, because
even though these guys are pros, they make a lot
of money. You know, these guys got egos, and I
(25:33):
know Matt and you starting the whole playoffs, then all
of a sudden, you get to the finals and your
coach bens you. I already like that move. How'd y'all
feel about that move?
Speaker 4 (25:42):
Why would a coach you going into his team and
to the series as a favorite. Why would a coach
why would you adjust to a team that you're favored
by long shot to beat? They should adjust to you,
and that's why they got out rebounded by so much.
Like when you were the favorite. They have to adjust
to you. I'm not adjusting to what you do. You're
(26:04):
gonna adjust what I do and to me. Not only
the cart and sign that was taking out the lineup.
It's everybody else looking like, bro, what were we doing? They
may not say anything, but like, why are we changing?
Speaker 2 (26:18):
Were we changing?
Speaker 4 (26:19):
Like so the coach is doubting what they've done all year?
What you think the player are gonna do? They need
to adjust to you, not the other way around. I
didn't agree with it at all. God, listen, what got
you there? You're supposed to keep rolling with it and
it is not. It's totally different from football from a
(26:41):
momentum standpoint. And all these guys, you know, having a
rapport together, and you don't put a chink in the
armor in the NBA Finals in game one because you
go to sleep and you come up with this epiphany
of you know what, I'm gonna sit this guy. I'm
gonna sit Honkings down on the bench and in the
(27:03):
game one of the NBA Finals and then expect a
different result.
Speaker 5 (27:08):
I believe that's totally wrong. Just like Cuff said. Man,
if I'm starting and I wake up in the morning
and there's an adjustment for no.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
Reason, no reason at all, I'm game one type.
Speaker 5 (27:21):
My whole energy has changed looking at the coach and
the team.
Speaker 4 (27:26):
Uh, for that game or possibly even moving forward. Hey
what what if he gave your hands up prior? You
still get to the stadium and you like, I can't believe.
Speaker 6 (27:36):
It's like, what are we doing right? Like we got
here all year with the same starty five pretty much
the entire playoffs, and now you get to game one
of the finals, your family and friends, everybody's keep the request,
and you're like, nah, I'm not starting today. I didn't
like to move, and I've seen a lot of other
people online saying the same thing. I don't like to move.
(27:57):
And it came back to bite him because he tried
to play small ball against a team who wants to
play small ball. You got to use your size advantage.
You got two seven footers. You got a bruising big
with Hernstein, you got a stretch big with Chick. There's
no way I would have bitched my starting center to
go small way. Not with Cason Wallace. Maybe Aaron Wiggins
(28:19):
he got a little more size on the wing, but
you're pretty much putting a shooting another shooting guard on
the floor. I didn't like to move it off.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
And it was it was god DJ.
Speaker 4 (28:28):
I felt like in his defense, the pace that the
Pacers play with the speed, and he wanted to match
up with him, and he probably felt like, I don't know,
if Hartenstein can get up and down the court, you
at least have to see you at least have to
give Hartenstein a chance to say, okay, I can roun
with these boys. But he just assumed like that the
(28:50):
pace that they played with is gonna be a bit
too much, So I'm a change the starting lineup. I
just don't think when you're the favorite, when you had
the best record in the NBA by long shot, when
you have the best defense in the NBA by long shot,
you don't change.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
I'll say this, let me throw this one out at
you guys. I thought it was the poor shot selections
that OKC brought to the table more so than anything else.
Because my whole thing is, if you look at what
Indiana was doing, they were slashing, they were aggressive, they
were trying to take it to the to the rack,
(29:32):
and if they missed, you know, these guys are all
They're crashing the boards. Eventually they started making those long
range shots later in the game, but early on they
were going to the rim. They were playing super aggressive basketball.
I didn't see that from OKC.
Speaker 4 (29:49):
Hey, but when you say that, though LeVar poor shot
selection by OKC, SGA and Jalen Williams, Normally those shots
go in, And so what is it really better make.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
Shots and not to me when you're not making shots.
I know they say you should keep shooting. A shooter
has to keep shooting, and I get that, But if
the cost of getting to shooting well in a game
cost you a fifteen point lead, I just feel like
you got to be able to adapt and adjust if
(30:25):
you're not making shots. At some point you gotta be
more aggressive and shots.
Speaker 4 (30:30):
Hey, you know what they say, Man, if you owe
for twenty, you got to shoot shot twenty one like
you twenty for twenty.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
I said, if you owe for twenty and not twenty
and not twenty, first shot goes in. How many points
came off of that? Oh for twenty? And that's why
I hate to say it. I get it that you
got to have that as a mentality as a shooter,
but you also got to have the mentality of if
I'm giving away a fifteen point lead, if we're giving
away this game because I'm looking to make the next shot.
(30:58):
After eighteen ninety, team missus. At some point you got
to use some logic and say I need to get
closer into the realm.
Speaker 4 (31:05):
I need to create different I'm giving the Pacers credit
for staying locked in and hitting a big shot out there,
and you got to get a pay some credit. I
don't think this is about what Oklahoma City didn't do.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
This is about what the Pacers did.
Speaker 5 (31:19):
You know, man, you know being here on the East
coach Man, I'm unwrapping the whole Okase thunder thing because
we don't really get the opportunity to see him on
a night to night basis. But Shaye is the pilot
on his plane and we know that. But the Indiana
(31:39):
Pacers man, Miles Turner, really hasn't really been playing that well.
He's going to have a couple of good games left
in him. We know that Mathern he really was. He
didn't do a lot in Game one. And just like
you said earlier, when Halid Burton and Palsiakim walked in
(32:03):
that tunnel man and they came out of that game,
then they know they didn't play well. Twenty four turnovers
and they still find a way to win. I'm just
saying to myself that these kids. Man, they but really
honestly believe that they're the best team in the world.
They really believed that they had You can tell by
(32:25):
the way they're walking around.
Speaker 6 (32:28):
Like they had zero. Look, they had zero twenty point scorers.
They're the first team since the twenty thirteen Miami Heat
the win a finals game. That means the ball is moving,
that means everybody's eating yet equal opportunity. Like I said before,
a gender free basketball, and I think we're gonna see
going forward, a lot of you're gonna see at the
(32:48):
youth level. You're going to see so many high school
teams try to mimic and copy this style of basketball
where it's not about like the big name, it's not
about like you see the Trey Youngs and the you
could Donnish guys around the league. Right where it's sou
ball dominant. The Pacers are the exact opposite of those
type of teams where if you can shoot the ball,
(33:09):
if you can pass, if you can if you can
create off the dribble, if you can set screams, you
can move without the ball. They're showing that, They're showing
everybody in the basketball world, at every level of basketball.
This is how you play the game. And you got
to give that credit to Rick Carlile. He's done this before.
If you go back and watch the twenty eleven finals
against the Miami Heat, look at how the Heat team
(33:30):
was built. You had Lebron d Way Bosh Big three,
you have Mike Miller on the bench, you had bird Man,
you had a couple guys on the bitch. But look
at that Mavericks team. You had Jason Kidd, Tyson Chandler,
Brandon Haywood, Jason Terry, j J.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
Barrera.
Speaker 6 (33:44):
It was all guys who can shoot, pass, defend the block, shots,
run the floor. They have the same template right now
and they just created the same blueprint from that twenty
eleven Mavericks team that won the championship.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
He's a mass items. It seems like people should be
excited about this next game. So if you didn't watch
the first one, I think the Pacers have built up
a level of intrigue to watch this next game. At
least watch this next game. So make sure you lock
in for that one. But we're gonna take a quick break,
and on the other side of the break, we're gonna
finish up and wrap up the show. With a little
(34:16):
bit of what you know and what you love. When

Speaker 1 (35:39):
Right time for some picks. Are you up on game?
Speaker 2 (35:42):
Let's break this up.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Let's break it up down on game.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
All right, don't worry. You know we stuck the landing.
What you got bo.
Speaker 9 (35:54):
Solid week last week? Three and one across the board
except for plaques. Who went to and two?
Speaker 3 (36:00):
That's fine?
Speaker 2 (36:02):
You found that funny.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
Uh So the other guys found a way to keep
up with me. But plex Plex, you took the l
against me this past weekend. That is what it is.
Speaker 6 (36:14):
Man.
Speaker 3 (36:14):
You know I'll be pulling for you though. All right,
let's get going again. Let's let's let's lay it out,
Let's see where we're at, and let's let's knock it
down so that I can help y'all be great when
y'all do y'all's best. So let's go, here we go.
Speaker 9 (36:26):
I'm gonna start with the Pacers in Oklahoma City, of course,
for Game two of the NBA Finals. Oklahoma City a
ten and a half point favorite here, so Vegas not
scared at all from that game one loss. The total
has currently said it two twenty eight and a half,
and LeVar will start with you.
Speaker 3 (36:41):
I'm gonna take to twenty eight. I'm going to take
the over. They're going to play fast, they're going to
play hard pause. Uh so I'll take the over on it.
And I do believe that this is I'm gonna take
the under on on on the points in terms of
they will they will win, but they that you're taking
(37:03):
the over, other points over on the points, but total
hold on now, the total is what I'm saying. Okay
See will win, but they won't win by more than
ten that half. So I'm taking the on.
Speaker 4 (37:15):
So I'm taking the under on the points and I'm
taking the pacers.
Speaker 5 (37:23):
Damn, I gotta agree with that. Man, I'm taking under
on the points, and I don't believe. I believe okay See,
they win this game, but it's it's gonna be a
lot harder fought than they think it is. Under on
the on the under on the tenth.
Speaker 6 (37:37):
I'm taking the under on the point, guys. And as
bad as I want to say the paper's gonna win
and go up to low, I think Oklahoma City gonna
bounce back and take these boys to the woods. Shit,
they're gonna cover the spread. It's gonna be a blowout.
In game two.
Speaker 9 (37:51):
All right, next up, we're gonna head to the ice
where the Panthers and the Oilers are tied in the
Stanley Cup Finals game.
Speaker 3 (37:58):
On these fellas right here.
Speaker 4 (37:59):
Hey, you know, you know the Panthers, they they they
saved themselves yesterday they escape with that one.
Speaker 3 (38:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (38:05):
We head back to the hockey capital of the capital
of the World, Florida for game three.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
Here. What's the what's the count on it?
Speaker 2 (38:13):
What?
Speaker 3 (38:13):
What's what's the rundown of it?
Speaker 4 (38:15):
Is one?
Speaker 9 (38:16):
Yeah, it's a one.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
What's the what's the beat?
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (38:19):
The Panthers. Panthers are a one and a half cold favorite. Here,
the over under six and a half.
Speaker 4 (38:26):
I'm taking the tay and I'm taking the Oilers.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
I'm gonna take the over. I'm gonna take the over
on the points and it's gonna get covered. Florida's gonna
cover it.
Speaker 5 (38:38):
I'm going under on the points and I'm taking the
Florida Panthers straight off of five headed towards Naples. So
I'm taking the Florida Panther.
Speaker 6 (38:50):
Yeah, I'm gonna take the other. I think it'll be
a low scoring game and I'm going with the Panthers
of Florida. Man, the New Dynasty is an emergent in Florida.
I'm going with the Panthers at home.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
Hey, I know y'all out there tripping. We on Fox
Sports Radio. You got three black dudes betting on a
hockey game. Fo four of us, four of us?
Speaker 2 (39:14):

Speaker 3 (39:14):
That didn't do any good for my my my statement
or argument discussion point? What's the last one?
Speaker 6 (39:21):

Speaker 3 (39:21):
It bo what we got? No, that's all. That's it?
