the locker room, like I don't play with some dude
that you disrespect them anyway, it didn't matter who.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
It was they was putting hands on you and Plaxico
burs they.

Speaker 4 (00:30):
Are the same person, the same exact quarterback.

Speaker 1 (00:34):

(01:21):
know what I mean, tell how it works.

Speaker 5 (01:24):
All right, it's hour two.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
We talked basketball and hour two and who better to
do it with than with the expert, the biggest, the
biggest boss haul in the game right now, the guy
that calls money on things. I was talking about him
earlier in the week, well midway through the week, when
he called money on the trade or acquisition of DeAndre

(01:47):
Aiden to the LA Lakers. When you hear this, you
know what time it is during the show.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Now it's time to check in with Guffs, the legend
from some Dude show podcast on up on Game Presents,
Cuffs is giving you his spicy takes on what's going
down to take the heat like Lebron And now here's
Cuff's the legend.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
It's cold time, Cuffs legend, legend, legend.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
All right, and here he is. Now. I will say this, It's.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Interesting because Cuffs wanted to come into the theme song
of one H Drake, who uh well, he released a
song on Live yesterday and you know was really really
taking aim at people, and well, I feel like Cuffs

(02:40):
relates to uh Drake with the what did I miss?
Because it seems as though maybe Drake got a little
disrespected back cats in the industry that should have showed
him a little bit more love. Sounds like a familiar
thing for Cuff's the legend when people take his material
and use it for their own and don't give them
any type of credit for what it is that he

(03:01):
puts out there on social But here he is. He
said he wanted to have a national platform to be
able to voice his opinion, and here we go, Cuffs.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
How are you doing, sir?

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Our brothers look happy fourth of July? First off, did
y'all enjoy the fireworks last night?

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Tell us?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
I don't know about y'all. Where y'all lived at Lamore?

Speaker 5 (03:20):
I heard earlier.

Speaker 6 (03:23):
On top of his house.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Yeah, I heard LeVar talking about his Pablo Escobar views
with the fireworks in the city. I want to know
last night, the fireworks is everywhere, you know. I couldn't
only sleep last night, you know. Drake speaking of Drenking
drop that master team last night. Shout out to Obio.

(03:46):
Hey we're back, y'all.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
We are not.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
We are no back team, light skinning back.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
We're so back.

Speaker 6 (03:55):
No, you're not.

Speaker 5 (03:56):
It's gonna take more than that.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
But speaking up being back, does the move with with
mister Ayton, does that move?

Speaker 5 (04:10):
You know?

Speaker 3 (04:10):
I saw the the artwork that was sent over with
the likeness of O'Neill and Abdul Jabbar and those types
of guys, and then I see DeAndre Ayden ol Sender,
which is obviously Kareem's name before he switched it up.
You know, based upon his religious beliefs. Do you think

(04:31):
it's that big of a signing getting DeAndre Ayden to
come to the LA Lakers.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
We might look back a year from now, two years
from now and say this is one of the greatest
all time highway robbery in the NBA off season because
you're getting a guy Plaxico Bird, DeAndre Ayden for what
I call DeAndre Aiden our Sender. He's going to average
He's going to average close to eighteen points eleven rebounds

(05:01):
this year. And I say that that's only that's only if.
The big if is if he viobs into play and
winning basketball, if Andre Aden to buy in, if he
can just put all the distractions off the court, all
the other things. We know he's into other things. He
loves his video games, and that's cool. But if he

(05:21):
can just play hard and not get distracted by the
Hollywood vibes out there in Calabasas and everywhere. He has
a lot of untapped potential, and I feel like the
physical tools out there, we've seen it. We've seen him
in the NBA Finals with the Suns just three years ago,
had a pretty good series against Giannis. I mean, nobody
can stop Jannis, but Adon had a really good NBA Finals.

(05:44):
He's been deep into that deep playoff water. And I
think it's a huge, low risk, high red ward get
for the Lakers of Los Angeles. I really do.

Speaker 6 (05:53):
I mean, I can agree with that.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
I mean, nobody has ever doubted DeAndre Ayton's you know, talent.
You know, it's it's between it's between this for him
when he when he's on the basketball court, because I mean,
he can go out and dominated a basketball game. Is
it's just if you know how bad he wants to play.

(06:14):
I mean, and I also think that the Los Angeles
Lakers realized that they needed to get longer, they needed
they needed to, uh, you know, bring in a big
man that's gonna be able to compete in this Western Conference,
because what you got Joker Wimby uh, Dallas, I mean
Santa San Antonio, I mean the Houston Rockets. I mean

(06:39):
everybody's on this. Start on this. On the on the
court now is six seven, six eight. And the Los
Angeles Lakers needed to get bigger. They needed to add
to the big man if they wanted to be able
to go out and compete in the West Western Conference
rebounding and different things like that. But for Dendre eight Man,
I thought it was a great talent when he was

(07:01):
in Phoenix. You kind of got lost in the shuffle
a little bit when he went to Portland. And I
don't think he's going to have a problem being motivated
coming to Los Angeles and playing with Lebron and Luca.
I mean, it's a great opportunity for him to go
out and show us what kind of basketball player that

(07:23):
he really is. And I don't think he's going to
have any issue going out and being going out and
playing a good brand of basketball on a nightly basis
when you're playing with two Hall of famers cuffs.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
You heard Plex mentioned playing with Luca and Lebron.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
James.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
Now you make some bold predictions and based upon where
you get your knowledge from and hear things, and you know,
whatever's you got going on in your lab, you come
up with stuff that really happens. Will Lebron James be
in LA for the season next you're in for to
that point, will Brownie James be in LA? From your perspective?

(08:07):
How you see that playing out?

Speaker 1 (08:10):
You know?

Speaker 2 (08:10):
You know that, Uh, they called me, They called me
your favorite NBA Insider's favorite NBA insider. That's what they
call me. You know what I'm saying. I'm just some
dude out.

Speaker 5 (08:20):
Here right right right, some dude.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
I've heard through the Grape Vinn directly that there are
preferred destinations for Lebron James out here outside of the
LA Lakers. And I know some LA fans are actually
happy because I'm seeing Laker fans call Lebron all kinds
of names on social media right now, very ungrateful to

(08:44):
to my you know, I feel like sometimes, but there
is a preferred destination list out here I've.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
Heard directly, is that bubble, that bubble, that bubble championship.
What they got?

Speaker 3 (09:01):
You know, they got the Dodgers out here. They a
little spoiled man, but go ahead.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Yeah, can be spoiled sometimes. And I just feel like
we might be seeing a situation. We saw Lebron take
his player options. He's never done that in the history
of him doing all his contracts. He's always had the
leverage in his contract negotiations, and for him to opt in,
a lot of people are saying that it's pretty much like,

(09:29):
is he asking to be traded? Is this a trade
request or because I.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
Do know he has to approve the trade too, because
he has no trade clause.

Speaker 5 (09:38):
Correct, Yeah, he would.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
He would have to approve all of that. I just
know from things that I've heard directly. There are some
teams in the running for the services of Lebron James,
and some of those teams are a perfect basketball fit.
And that's the main thing here outside of elisting glamour
and all the cameras and Papa Roxy that's gonna come

(10:03):
with Lebron James, even at age forty, he's still the
faith of the league. So if he comes to your franchise,
even at forty, even being the old man, even being
the old head, the cameras are coming, and the destinations,
I can give you five. It's more than five, but
I'm gonna give you just five destinations that I know
on everything I love. These places are in the mix.

(10:26):
The Cleveland Calves, oh wow, for obvious reasons. We all know,
like we all know the story. We all know the story.
Cleveland Caves there, It'll be a great storybook ending Broun
come back home, bring it some brownie, come back home.
Evan Moley's there. He started to be like a young
Chris Bosh. You've got Donovan Mitchell. He can never get

(10:48):
over the hump in the playoffs. And you just add
that veteran toughness with Lebron and with the Calves. The
East is wide open. We see that right now with
Tatum being ours. Every everybody's aiming for that spot in
the East. Now the Knicks, And speaking of the Knicks,
the New York Knickerbuckers, Spike Lee, Tracy Morgan, Jalen Brunton,

(11:11):
Karl Anthony Towns, the New York Knicks for the first
time are in the running for Lebron James. And if
you if you would have said that four years ago,
six years ago, ten years ago, he'd be in like
no way like previous relationships. Certain people in the front office.
But just imagine Lebron in Madison Square Gardens for forty
one home games get you a Knicks fan.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
Well, ag Brown has he has history with the head
the new hiring of the head coach, which we will
touch on that, by the way.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Exactly great relationship with Mike Brown, great rapport with Mike Brown,
one of his first coaches, and you always had to
go to State Warriors in the mix.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Hmmm, just imagine that would be interesting. I think that
would hurt his legacy. I think that hurts his legacy
if he goes do don't see that. I think that
really really hurts his legacy if he were to go
to a team like Golden State.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
Based off of all the teams that you just mentioned,
because I really honestly think that, you know, him joining
the Cleveland Cavaliers, it takes the ball out of Donovan
Mitchell's hands and what you're gonna do with Darius Garland. Uh,
Donovan Mitchell is one of the top you know, ten
players in the in the world right now in this position.

(12:27):
I think I believe when you add Lebron James to
this lineup, he's so ball dominant that he takes takes
the game away from Donovan Mitchell and not allowing him
to be who he is and and he is an
elite score of the basketball.

Speaker 6 (12:44):
Can we not agree at that?

Speaker 5 (12:45):
At that at that yeah, Oh.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
And when you're looking at the New York Knicks, I
can't really see that because I know the people. I
know the faces, uh Leon Rose, Mike Brown is there now.
We all know about their teaingure together in Cleveland. So
there are some relationships that are brunting the brunts and burner.

(13:11):
So there are some relationships there. But I just think that,
like you said, he's never opted into an an option
his NBA contract, and I just see him if he
is going to go anywhere, I don't think it's going
to be the Cleveland Cavaliers. I believe it's going to
be go to the go to the New York Knicks,
because I think he is starting to realize that the

(13:33):
Western Conference is loaded and it's going to be a tough,
uphill battle for the Los Angeles Lakers or anybody outside
of OKC, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockers and the San Antonio
Spurs and the Devil Nuggets over the next you know,
five or six years to get to a conference finals.

(13:53):
So I believe he's he's gonna have to come to
the to the Eastern Conference. If he has a hope
to get back to another NBAS.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
It makes a whole lot of sense. And I'll tell
you what. Hold on, We are going to continue the conversation.

Speaker 6 (14:08):
All right.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
We got Lebron the possibilities of him.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
There is another megastar that has made a move and
is staying in the Western Conference, in the Western side
of what's going on.

Speaker 5 (14:20):
We'll have that conversation.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
We'll continue to basketball conversation with our man cuffs. The
legend from some dudes show you got Plexico Burds. I'm

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Uh huh, all right, all right, welcome back in. It's
up on game we got Plexico burs, we got cuffs
to legend TJ is in Vegas doing the Lord's work.
He's training and teaching guys how to play the game
of football at the receiver's position. So it'll be us

(17:26):
three continuing you guys through the rest of this last
hour of the show. Fellas you know, we were talking
about the possibility of Lebron James going to the New
York Knicks, and we brought up coach Mike Brown. He
ends up getting the job. But one particular piece of

(17:47):
information that became known to the public and was pushed
out there that I'm curious to get your guys' opinion about,
was the idea of interviewing Don Staley or the head
coaching job. Now, I immediately thought to myself, Don Staley
is a super, super super fire coach. He has had

(18:11):
so much success in her coaching tenure coaching at USC.

Speaker 5 (18:17):
Southern Carolina and.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Just seeing what she's brought to the table as a
player but also as a coach and a mentor. Would
you guys have seen that as being a realistic approach
to possibly having the first woman head coach in the NBA.

Speaker 5 (18:38):
Do you think that sports.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
The sports world.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Is ready for a head coach in the NBA. And
you know what does that mean? Like the conversation is
now being had where a woman is actually getting a fear,
well at least seemingly was a fair look at possibly
interviewing for a head coaching job. How did you guys

(19:02):
internalize that?

Speaker 2 (19:05):
Yeah, we've seen it. We've seen it with We've seen
it with Becky Hammond. You know, she was on the
Spurs stat for a few years there and she went
to the Aces now. But my thing with it is,
are you are we seeing this from the optic standpoint
just to make it look like you're considering Don Staley
or somebody of that caliber. Because I would love to

(19:25):
see it as a basketball coach at heart, myself always
going to be a coach. It would change the dynamics
so much for at every level of basketball. But I
just want to see if somebody's going to take that
opportunity and do it, because I feel like she's qualified,
Like what about the game of basketball?

Speaker 1 (19:41):
Does she?

Speaker 2 (19:42):
Does she not understand at this point? You know what
I'm saying, Like three now, does.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
It translate to guys like you can see, guys, it's
a commonplace that coaching women. But does it translate to
guys to be that type of coach because she's a
hard nosed coach. Does it translate to to guys at
the NBA life?

Speaker 2 (20:00):
That'd be the toughest thing, Lvar. I think it'll be
just a respect thing. Just it's just unspoken things when
it's like, uh, and we've never seen a woman like
be in charge of an NBA team or NBA players
with those egos clashing and that type of salary and
that type of money that the players making. It's different
than the college basketball dynamic, even though you do have

(20:22):
n I l you do have that component now, But
it would be tricky, but I would love to see it.
Can you imagine Don Staley if she would have been
the coach of the Knicks, it would have been like
the movie Woody Goldberg movie Eddie. It would have been
like Eddie.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
I mean, she was wild.

Speaker 6 (20:42):
It's the Kings that I love.

Speaker 4 (20:46):
Don Stanley Man obviously, you know me growing up in
Virginia and her, you know, playing you know, uh at
Uva with the Cavaliers. Man back in the late eighty
in early nineties, Man, we were very uh, you know,
we knew who don Staley was as a basketball player,

(21:08):
and you know now you know the resume that she
has put together in the college game, and it's basically
second to none, And just like Couples just saying, man,
I think it all comes down to respect. And I
believe from a player standpoint that the guys in the
NBA would have respect for her just because of you know,

(21:29):
her basketball knowledge and.

Speaker 6 (21:30):
Intelligence, man, and her resume.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
So it would be something that obviously it would be
the first time as has ever happened, but I believe
that you know, from a pure coaching standpoint, if she
was to go to the next level, that she would
have the ultimate respect from all these guys on that team.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
Before we go to the update and switch switch lanes
and get to KD and his new digs, do you
guys see that taking place potentially? Do you even think
that it's feasible to think that there will be a
time where there's an interview for head coach of a
woman for the NFL?

Speaker 5 (22:10):
I think how far away do you think that NFL
for the NFL I hit you with a sinker? Was
that a sinker? You think that happened?

Speaker 4 (22:28):
Conversations that we just have with with you know, amongst
ourselves as players in the in the culture of the
locker room, and just to you know, like no, I'd
have been in some real beefs like with my coach,
you know what I mean, in a meeting room and

(22:48):
we going back at it. You know, you know, ain't
ain't nobody holding no punchers, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
But doesn't that not exists in basketball too? Nah, it
ain't the same.

Speaker 4 (23:02):
The football locker room is a culture in itself, and
if you've never been in it, then you have no
idea what I'm talking about. But you, being a former player,
just think about all the things that have happened in
the locker room that that.

Speaker 6 (23:21):
You have witnessed or experience.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
I mean, Gary and Gilbert Poole straps out on one another.
I mean, I ain't say it's all the things I've seen.
It is a different culture, and there's so many different
it's like a microcosm to me of society.

Speaker 5 (23:41):
Right.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
You got different groups, you got racial groups, you got
you know, ethnic you know, beliefs and religious type deals
and and everybody finds their clique in the locker room.
But then there's the idea of it's your safe haven.
It's your safe place, and you can say and do
what it is that you want to say. Ain't now,
I will say this, they're probably about for some of

(24:04):
the guys in the locker room, ninety eight percent of
the things that they would say out of their mouth
would be offensive to a woman. And that's just real talk,
like it would be inappropriate, it would be an hr nightmare,
there would be all count But does that exist in
the NBA, is what I'm saying, Like, what makes it
so much different for the NBA?

Speaker 5 (24:27):
I don't know that. It's I mean in a lot.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
Less people a single day. They travel too much.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
There's that idea of it. Though.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
I think we're getting close though, because we see even
with the Lakers staff, Lindsay Harden, who went to Duke,
she was a really good WNBA player for a lot
of years, Lindsay Harden was promoted to the head coaching
job like the Summer League team. So we're starting to
see an increase of women coaches, Like get closer to that.
But like you said, is anybody ever going to life

(25:00):
like to pull the trigger on? Are we really going
to say in real time?

Speaker 3 (25:06):
Yeah, it's a it's a it's a different animal. And
and I will say there are there are quite a
few women that are in the coaching profession in the
National Football League as well. We've seen in Tampa and
and and numerous other places where those things are are happening.
You know, coaches are emerging, there are sports, you know
with flag that are emerging that show the interest level

(25:27):
of women. I think it's a fine deal. I think
it's pretty awesome. I just think that man to think
that we had a conversation about a woman possibly becoming
the head coach of the New York Knicks, one of
the most historic UH franchises in the NBA. I think
it's cool all in itself. So anyways, that's a testament
to how dope Don Staley is as well. And uh yeah,

(25:50):
keep seeing how that that all plays out and pans out.
Kevin Durant, We're gonna talk him, but let's first get
an update from our guy, mister Isaac Longcrown.

Speaker 5 (25:59):
What you got for us? Thank you?

Speaker 1 (26:01):
LeVar.

Speaker 5 (26:02):
What's up?

Speaker 1 (26:02):
Cuffs?

Speaker 8 (26:03):
How are you cuffs?

Speaker 5 (26:05):
Man?

Speaker 2 (26:06):
Living man right here by the food side right now,
you know, trying to get a tan. I love, just
trying to get a tan like man.

Speaker 8 (26:11):
Story of my life, bab Hey cuffs, what's to deal
with this?

Speaker 3 (26:16):
Uh?

Speaker 8 (26:17):
No, deviled eggs on the fourth of July ordinance?

Speaker 2 (26:20):
Oh yeah yeah, there's anybody you see out here eating
deviled eggs and coldslaw potato salad. Just call Homeland Security. Man,
it can't be trusted.

Speaker 8 (26:30):
Wait a minute, poles law potato.

Speaker 5 (26:33):
Salad, love potato.

Speaker 8 (26:34):
I mean these are these are traditional Fourth of July
side dishes. I'm you know, I mean to each his
own about culinary proclivities. But uh, I mean maybe the
deviled eggs are just not prepared properly. But potato salad,
macaroni salad, it's it's done the right walad.

Speaker 5 (26:55):
That's that's nah. I gotta agree with that.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
It's way too hot out here eating something America. I'm sorry,
it is way too hot for some macanhoon that sat
over the hill East coach.

Speaker 8 (27:07):
Yeah yeah, well, sorry to ruffle all your feathers.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
I'm out on macaroni salad. Come on, let's get the update. Like,
that's that's you kilted? I know, I know, all right,
But deviled eggs, I'm rock with them.

Speaker 8 (27:18):
Yeah, especially drizzle some fresh bacon bits over it anyway.
Round three at Wimbledon right now, seven time champion Novak
Djokovic leading his third round match four to three in
the opening set over Serbia's Neomir Katsmanovich. Also American and

(27:39):
unfortunately Jackson Mahomes look alike Ben Shelton just won his
first set of his round three match against Hungary's Martin
Fusovic six to three. They're just about to get underway
in the second set. Earlier, American Emma Navarro defeated defending
champion Barbora kray Chikoba two six three sixty four. American

(28:02):
Danielle Collins was defeated by eight seed Egos Fiantec sixty
two sixty three. Finally, in Major League Baseball, today, the
Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated outfielder Corbyn Carroll from the ten day
injured list. Guys, back to you.

Speaker 5 (28:15):
Appreciate it, sir.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
Enjoy your Fourth of July weekend, and yeah, be safe
and enjoy your roof, you know what I mean, like
enjoy your roof. Likewise, all right, thank you, sir. So
let's talk about this KD deal.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
Man.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
It's it's a crazy ass deal. Like it's it's a
seventeen Basically, it's a historic seventeen trade. It involves Kevin
Durant and it lands him in Houston. First of all,
how do you see this trade unfolding?

Speaker 6 (28:46):
Like?

Speaker 3 (28:46):
Was this who who won in this trade? Where they're
multiple winners? And what does this mean for KD? I
mean you're going to the Houston Rockets. They are loaded.
You would think that this is a piece for Kevin
Durant where he doesn't have to be the focal point
to be a scorer on this team, but and doesn't

(29:08):
have to always be playing for them to have success,
but could ultimately be that missing piece and that maturity
and wisdom that that he brings, the experience that he
brings that could take this Houston Rocket team over over
the Ade show to speak, and transition into that next
space that they.

Speaker 5 (29:28):
Haven't been able to get.

Speaker 6 (29:29):
You.

Speaker 5 (29:30):
What's your take on at first off Cuffs, Well.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
First off, there, Houston Rockets are absolutely loaded, man Like,
They're loaded from top to bottom. The depth. You see,
you got Steven Adams, they resigned Steven Adams. Then you
brought in Clint Capella at a nice discounted rate. You
got Jabbari Smith who I feel like this season coming up,

(29:54):
he is gonna take a leap. He's gonna be similar
to Rashard Lewis, like shar Lewis when he was with
the Sonics sixteen to six eleven. Sniper can pick and pop.
Jabari Smith is gonna take that type of leaf. Then
you got Reeve Sheppard. They gonna give him more minutes
this year. Then you brought Finny Smith over from the Lakers.

(30:15):
We already know what he can do defensively, move to Puffies.
He's six eight six nine long wings fan. They're loaded man,
Van Fleet gonna you know what he's gonna bring. Defensively,
he gonna make big shots. Tommy threes Aman Thompson is
my favorite player on the Rockets and possibly my favorite
young player in the entire league. Right now. I think
he's gonna be an All Star in the next year

(30:36):
or two. We've seen what he can do two way.
He's gonna be one of the all time defensive players
he's seen in the league. This team is stacked, man,
and I just feel like the sky's the limit. I
would I'm almost about seventy five percent penciling these these
Rockets into the Western Conference Finals against not even the

(30:57):
Oklahoma City Thunder, but the Denver Nuggets. Look at what
the Denver Nuggets are doing.

Speaker 6 (31:03):
Thank you? Thank you? Can you give my Denver Nuggets
some love? Finally? Thank you?

Speaker 2 (31:09):
You said? Did you say my Nuggets?

Speaker 6 (31:12):
My Denver Nuggets? Thank you?

Speaker 5 (31:15):
When did that happen? When the Denver Nuggets last years?

Speaker 2 (31:23):
You're telling me you were the Nuggets fan back when
we was there and English.

Speaker 4 (31:28):
I'm not going to sit here on the radio waves
and tell a lie. All right, I've never been a
Denver Nugget fan. I just like the way that they
play basketball. I'm not a fan.

Speaker 5 (31:40):
I'm not a fan.

Speaker 4 (31:42):
I just like the way the joker runs, lumbers up
and down the basketball court, can barely jump over jump
over pack of down laders, but he managed to dominate
the NBA game night in and night out. It's absolutely fascinating.

Speaker 5 (32:00):
Hmm.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
I mean, you think that was the team to win it, right,
if they could have got passed, if they could have
like I felt like whoever won that game between between
OKC and and Denver was going to be the team
that had the inside track to win it. Do you
feel like maybe they might not have been as good
a matchup just because they were maybe banged up a
little bit.

Speaker 5 (32:19):
I know our guy was with the Dreadlocks.

Speaker 6 (32:22):
He was he.

Speaker 5 (32:25):
That porter was his shoulder was.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
A constant him, his job, his his playoffs showing constant
him his job.

Speaker 5 (32:32):
He ain't even a part of the team no more.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
But you guys think that the new additions, you know,
you guys feel strongly about, can Ken Yokich maintain that
that style of play and and continue on the.

Speaker 5 (32:45):
Trajectory that he's on. You guys feel confident about that.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
Yeah, I just think I don't think the Nuggets are
coming back for Blood man, because they let the go
to opportunities slip against the Thunder. It was two games
there in that series where they didn't close him out.
They had him on the ropes and they went and
they saw the OKC hold that trophy, get the championship
t shirts. And I think Jokis is coming back. He's

(33:09):
out for Blood. And I also think they've done a
great job positioning themselves just to be the biggest threat
to ok See, like look at the Rocks for construction.
You got Cam Johnson from Brooklyn. Cam Johnson is a
upgrade over Michael Porter Jr. He can do more offensively,
He can create his own shot. Michael Porter Junior was
just a catch and shoot guy at this point. Anything

(33:30):
more than to dribbles with Michael Porter Jr. And it
was either a turnover or a bad shot. Cam Johnson
high IQ player, unc Tar Hill Legend. You got Bruce
Brown coming back. He won the championship with the Nuggets,
so he already understands the culture. You got Tim Hardaway Junior.
He played really well last year with the Pistons. And
then you got Valentiunis. We're seeing rumors about Valentiunis possibly

(33:52):
going back overseas and foregoing his contract and messing up
that trade with the Kings, but that they have some
pretty good depth and you already got Peyton Watson and
Christian Brown. Like the Nuggets are loaded.

Speaker 6 (34:06):
Man.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
I think I think we're gonna get a wild Wild
West next year and it's gonna be amazing.

Speaker 5 (34:11):
Hm plex final word.

Speaker 4 (34:13):
Yeah, man, Yeah, I agree with everything the cuffs you
just said. I'm looking for the Denver Nuggets man to
to really get back in the fold. And the only
thing you wouldn't believe that the Jokers thirty thirty thirty
thirty seven years old and Jamal and Jamal Murray is
thirty five, So those guys are getting a little older.
Uh they've added some pieces. Uh just like Cuff said,

(34:34):
they had Okac on the ropes, they let them get away.
And Uh, it doesn't matter if the joker is thirty
seven or not. Uh, he plays at the same speed
every single night. So he's going to continue to dominate.
The Western Conference is obviously, man, going to be the
best conference in basketball.

Speaker 6 (34:54):
Now.

Speaker 4 (34:54):
You got the Texas Triangle, you know down there. OKC
is a champion. The Denver Nuggets I think making a
run back to the Western Conference finals. Man, so it's
gonna be fun to watch.

Speaker 3 (35:07):
All right, that's Plexico Burs. You just heard from Cuffs,
the legend from some do podcasts as well. We're gonna

anything on your any stories, any topics on your hot

(36:35):
topic list that you be frying people on on your
social media? Cuffs the legend, by the way, at Cuffs,
the legend. What you got for us this week?

Speaker 2 (36:43):
Bro see some more spicy tastes for you for the
off season free agency. But I want to get some
some due shout outs. It's the first time we've done this.
My first some dude shout out is to Magic Johnson.
Man shut out to Magic Johnson. And I don't know
if y'all saw the video circulating of him on his
massive yacht.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
I don't know if you're on his tradmill. He was
on his on that little ass tradmill, on that big
a ship. I'm a little that little miniature ass tradmill.
Where are you walking?

Speaker 5 (37:16):
To Magic?

Speaker 2 (37:18):
I just wanted to say that because that is my
yearly reminder that that that everybody, we're all poor and
maggic Johnson is gonna outlive all of us. So shout
out to Magic Johnson for the motivation, the inspiration. Did
y'all see the stats? Can I give y'all the stats
on these Magic Johnson yacht real quick? Can give me
the rundown.

Speaker 5 (37:38):
Let's get run.

Speaker 2 (37:40):
This is a three hundred and twelve foot yacht we're
talking about. You can sleep, twelve gas, seven cabins. You
got a pool, gym, sauna, movie theater with four K sound.
You saw the treadmill, you got the peloton shut out.
And also before we do the last shout out to
Magic Johnson. It's one point four million dollars a week

(38:02):
just to rent the yacht.

Speaker 5 (38:05):
If it ain't him him, that's.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
I will use Magic Jock. Yeah, that'll cost you one
point four all w Well, how many days?

Speaker 6 (38:20):
Because what time it is?

Speaker 4 (38:22):
I got I got one question for you because I'm
sitting here looking at the NBA free agency and I'm
looking at my god, Jonathan Kaminga. Uh, what is he
moving forward? And what do you think he will end
up in the NBA next season.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
I think it's a strong chance we can see Kaminga
in Miami, even though pat Riley is being so stubborn
right now. With a lot of different teams, I think
we could see Jonathan Kaminga in Miami will be a
good fit. And the Sacramento Kings, even though it seems
like that can be like the death bed for a
lot of players and star players. Kaminga just needs to

(39:03):
be able to spread his wings and fly. And I
think a sleeper team for Kaminga. A sleeper team for
Kaminga in the East would be the Boston Celtics.

Speaker 4 (39:15):
I agree with you, man, because I really believe from
a talent standpoint that the kid is really gifted athletically,
but I just think he needs to, you know, play
more basketball, and I think the more that he plays,
you know, he will continue to you know, be more
confident and then we can see him, you know, transition

(39:39):
into being one of these good young players.

Speaker 6 (39:41):
In the league.

Speaker 4 (39:42):
Because from an athletic standpoint, he's as athletic as anybody
in this league at the three spot.

Speaker 6 (39:48):
I really believe.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
He's top five. Kminga is most definitely top five athleticism wise.
And speaking of the Warriors, don't sleep on the Warriors
because Al Horford. I know y'all might laugh.

Speaker 5 (40:01):
Dude, right, this is another some dude on your this
is on your list, right.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
It's on my list. This is on my list of
spicy summertime acquisition, summertime free agency. It's my it's my
time of the year. Al Horford, he could still move
the puppies, he can still picking pop and hit an
open three. I think he will be a beautiful piece
with Steph Curry Draymond, do you know, can you can
you see the illegal screens? Can you can you visualize

(40:26):
all the illegal screens we see with Draymond attacking off
Strangler and Al Horford on the same team doing those
dribble handoffs. They're gonna be They're gonna be running half
back counters for Steph Curry. I can see this happening
in the next couple of days, So keep a lookout.
Keep a lookout for Al Horford going to Golden State,
and also brad Bill. Brad Beil could be a huge

(40:47):
buyout option for the Miami Heed the Lakers. I would
take the I would take Brad Bill on a vet
minimum if I'm the Lakers right now or the Orlando Magic.
So I would keep eye out for Brad Bill possibly
getting about out soon as well.

Speaker 3 (41:02):
What before we get up out of here? Who what's
a dark horse trade that maybe people aren't aren't seeing
right now, Like, oh man, that that really happened? Is
is there any of those that exist out there right now?

Speaker 2 (41:15):
I wasn't able to get to it earlier, but uh,
it might be a trade or it could be a
buyout situation. But I'm gonna leave off with this cliffhanger. Lebron, James,
Kevin Durant, Charles Barkley, Clyde Drexler, Remember the Remember the
picture with Barkley and Pitten and LaJuan on the Rockets Jersey.
Just a match in the two old heads in Houston.

Speaker 5 (41:37):
Huh so Lebron and used to who else.

Speaker 2 (41:43):
Lebron and Kevin Durant in Houston or Lebron in Denver,
Colorado in a high altitude with kick And I'm not
and I'm and I'm not making any of this up.
I've heard directly these teams are on the list.

Speaker 3 (42:00):
Oh wow, is that going to happen? Is that going
to happen soon? Or is that is that something that
will play? Like what's the timeframe that you see?

Speaker 2 (42:12):
I mean, if it's Spike this summer, we still got
Summer League, right, So what's gonna happen this week? The
next two weeks of Summer League? All these gms and
all these front offers, guys gonna be out there in
Vegas together, So it's gonna get sight
