(01:29):
continue with this Tom Brady conversation. But I do gotta
tell y'all, we gotta touch on this toush push conversation.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Gotta get there, and.
Speaker 5 (01:39):
Man, we do that every every season.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
We're gonna have to.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
I mean, it seems like it's going to get closer
to maybe possibility the conversation of banning it.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
I don't know. We gotta get to it.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
But we'll also talk more quarterback injuries, and this one
is a big one. It's a doozy would would well
Jay Daniels, so should.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
There be some worthy there? And Rock Purty too.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
We'll get to all of that, but first let's continue
on with a retired quarterback. Uh we got TJ. Huschman Zada,
we got Plexico Burs. I'm LeVar Arrington. This is up
on Game hour two. If you missed anything, don't worry
about it. It's going to go up immediately following the show.
In the podcast. You'll be able to hear what we
talked about in an hour one. But let's continue the
conversation from the last segment where we were discussing Tom Brady. Listen,
(02:26):
I'll throw this one out at y'all. I think a
team is all about pros and and Joe's and not
about x's and o's and listen. The one thing that
I thought what would be an advantage is influence the
wow factor of Tom Brady. There aren't very many guys
(02:48):
that will walk into a locker room or into a facility,
do you know, watch the practices, be a part of
what's going on, and people be in all of the person.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
And if he were to say hello.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
To you, have a quick conversation with you, just two minutes,
one minute of time with Tom Brady could actually influence
you to possibly wanting to go play for the Las
Vegas Raiders.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
I look at it from that perspective of and why not?
Why not?
Speaker 4 (03:19):
I don't think it's to that point. Why not just
because Tom Brady is a mini state and the Los
Angeles rated as a player, you automatically want to go
play for him just because he's the owner, regardless of
how how.
Speaker 5 (03:32):
They look and what the record is come.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
I hope, I hope the guys around the league are
not doing that based off of his presence walking around
the locker room and the facilities and.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Team You could draw your.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Direction from what I'm hearing, and from what I'm understanding
is that the NFL is really trying to put some
restrictions on him as far as going in these team
facilities attending practices because he has inside track the information.
Just like I said earlier, listen, I don't have a
problem with him being a minority UH state owner in
(04:14):
Los Angeles Rakers the Raiders, but Las Vegas Raiders, and
being a color analyst. I get all that, But the
whole narrative of him being in the coaching booth or
the box during a football game, it shouldn't be allowed
because why would you not relay the information that you
(04:37):
have heard from a coach or a player and a
production meeting to your team. He's the owner of a team.
He wants to win.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
It's just like you guys.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
Know on Friday, the color analysts attend practice so they
see your first down, runs, passes, whatever the.
Speaker 5 (04:54):
Case may be.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
That's your script, Yes, your script.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
That's your script going into the game, blitz pick up
red z one. You may have a fake punt or
a fake field goal, or your trick playing, whatever the
case may be. Why wouldn't he not relay some of
that information during a live broadcast going to a coaching
booth and say, you know what, I saw this play
on Friday. If they get into this, if they get
(05:17):
into this formation, this is what they're gonna do. He
should not be allowed in a coaching booth during a
live football game if he's a color analyst working the game, period,
point blank. I don't have a problem with him being
on them. But at the same time, you cannot go
in a coaching booth.
Speaker 5 (05:36):
And and and.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
Give advice and listen to what's going on and have
input during a football game after you have interviewed the
coaches and the players and you have seen and heard
exactly what they're trying to do during that football game.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
But it doesn't not fall on the coaches.
Speaker 5 (05:58):
It's never gonna happen.
Speaker 6 (05:59):
He's never gonna be calling the same game and then
the Raiders. No, I'm not saying that that had never opened,
but what you mean, he won't be like, they're not
going to have him call a game and the Raiders
are playing that same game, so he wants he's a
practice to relay that information.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
He still has information for what he saw two or
three weeks ago versus a previous upon that.
Speaker 5 (06:25):
Is going to the Raider.
Speaker 6 (06:26):
I don't have a problem with him being allowed to
do all of these things. I don't have a problem
with that because if if the league is okay with it,
I'm okay with it. I'm just saying, we know he's
smart enough. We know that for a fact, and we
also know he wants his team, who now is the Raiders.
His team is the Raiders, right, he wants them to
(06:49):
be as successful as possible. You have lost your mind
if you think he's not gonna relay information.
Speaker 5 (06:55):
That's what I'm You've lost your mind.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
But here's the good.
Speaker 5 (07:05):
And righted by my team.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
The coaches shouldn't be in positioned where they have to
to monitor and and you know exactly what they're going
to do. They shouldn't have to do that, but they're
going to have to. If Tom Brady is looking.
Speaker 6 (07:19):
At nots not necessarily, yes, they Why would Why would
you do it? I want to do I'm going to
tell you why I believe, not necessarily. So we know
this football is universal, but it's spoken in Spanish, England, French. However,
you want, everybody runs the same place, we just call
(07:41):
them differently. What I may do tomorrow, I may not
do a lot of that the following Sunday. And so
the meat and potatoes of our offense stays the same.
The base of our offense will stay the same. Yeah,
but you can you can understand how to attack my
protections just by watching film. Now, if he's on the
(08:06):
field and they're yelling line calls and this and that,
that's different.
Speaker 5 (08:11):
But I don't in practice.
Speaker 6 (08:12):
Very rarely do you hear that when you're far off
the guys that are watching practice, they're not close enough
to hear the line calls and things of that nature.
So yeah, you can see what I'm doing, but you
can see that on film.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
Also.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Man, he understands that this man is highly intelligent. Man,
he understands exactly what's going on and to what you
just said, to why you said it's not going to
go on. Imagine he calls, let's say, are charters in
a Broncos game? Right, He attends these pracnice he listens
to what the coaches and the players are saying about
their scheme and whatever they're trying to do to stop
(08:47):
Justin Herbert or whatever trying to do to stop vote Nick.
He's the owner, a minority owner of a team that's
in the same division. So now the coaches when they
attending these meetings with him, they can't, right, they can.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
But they're not anyway. They're not going to be forthcoming
with their information anyway.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Whether tom Brady's.
Speaker 5 (09:12):
Not so much more as the players.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
Yeah, I mean I get it, and like I said,
I definitely get it, and I understand that there has
to be an adjustment in terms of him being there.
I still think that the biggest conversation here is that
it was allowed to happen, like there wasn't a decision
made that says, even if Tom Brady is okay with
trying to double down on being a a color call
(09:37):
and be a minority owner, there has to be a
decision a line drawn into sign saying by either Fox
or by or by the NFL. And you would think
that it would be the NFL, because there's no reason
for for Fox to go away from saying okay. ESPN
has Joe Buck and has and has Troy Aikman. They're
bidding to try to get this Super Bowl game and
(09:59):
all this old other up. So they go and get
the biggest personalities in the game, and Fox unloads on
them with bringing in Tom Brady. This is a win
for Fox, no matter how you splice it, But I
don't see it being beneficial in a win for the
National Football League.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
So to me, if it begs the.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Question of why would the NFL not make Tom Brady
leave his job calling games in order to get that
minority stake.
Speaker 5 (10:30):
Because this is something that has never happened before.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
And there's probably a reason why.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
I can almost guarantee you that they never foresaw him
calling a game and walking down to the coaching booth.
I mean, who would think of doing that outside of him?
So obviously he had a plan going.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
And who could get away with doing it outside and
Pete Manning, I said, and Peyton Manning Peyton could do it.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
That might be the only two that could do it.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
Yeah, so it's Brandon to them. And what's what really
surprised me. One of the head coaches in his own division,
and Sean Payton came out and said that he didn't
have a problem with it, I would have made an
uproar if I'm Sean Payton into the same division with
Tom Brady's a mind the owner and a color call
(11:23):
like you said, LaVar, I got a problem with it,
and I ain't even any damn division.
Speaker 5 (11:31):
Unbelievable. Come on, Sean Payton.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
I don't know, man.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
I think it's a I think it could be a
big deal, but maybe it doesn't turn into one. Not
really sure how it all plays out, but I would
have thanked.
Speaker 5 (11:46):
Could it work like this? Though?
Speaker 6 (11:48):
Hey you can. We do the production meetings with you.
We do all of that, and then you say, hey,
I appreciate it. If you don't come out to practice.
I don't want you at practice.
Speaker 5 (11:58):
Okay? Is that fine? You know? With you? But I
don't want you a practice.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
I don't. I don't. I don't see why they can't.
Speaker 5 (12:06):
I can take I can take.
Speaker 4 (12:07):
I can take it a step further and say the
coaches don't want to go to the production.
Speaker 5 (12:10):
Meeting, Come on, now, you gotta do one or the other.
We I mean what you can, but you ain't coming.
I ain't gonna. I ain't gonna give you my word.
Speaker 6 (12:19):
I'm gonna do one of like in a production meaning
I can control everything that said. That is, in practice,
we gotta work and we gotta get design and practice.
But in a production meeting, I can control how I
answer every question that is asked. And so how about
(12:39):
that if you want to meet in the middle, we
do all the production meetings.
Speaker 5 (12:44):
I'm just asking you not to come out of practice.
But the league is ocated.
Speaker 6 (12:48):
And if the league is located, and I'm mister Brady,
I'm okay with it all.
Speaker 5 (12:54):
I guess it's okay. Hey, if it's good, Hey, they
like it. I love it.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
I find out to be trick, pretty strange.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
Until until the Raiders run off about seven eight or
seven eight the row, and then that people are gonna
start having problem with it.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
And they and they're gonna come back to this.
Speaker 6 (13:12):
You know that, you know they don't be there the
whole practice, man, that first part of practice, they just
gonna be be as special teams. They're gonna do kickoff
and kickoff return call block.
Speaker 4 (13:25):
I just can't understand how like hardball, Sean Payton and
these coaches in the AFC West feel about him attending practices.
Speaker 5 (13:35):
I just don't.
Speaker 4 (13:36):
I don't understand how they can let that ride and
be okay with that.
Speaker 5 (13:40):
I just don't.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
I just don't understand that part of it. But if
they okayed it, I guess it's okay. But if I'm
a coaching the division and an owning division, man, I
don't like it.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
Well, you know what isn't okay? Jaydon Daniels, leg and
Brock Party. Uh they're both uh well sideline seemingly. And
Matt Jones he got the start last week and pulled
one out for San Francisco. Was a close one and
it was against New Orleans, but nonetheless he pulled it out.
The commanders are going to have to figure out what
they're gonna do. Uh without Jayson Daniels, it seems, I
(14:14):
mean like it's something to worry about. Uh, we'll see.
I don't know it is Jay and Daniels going to
be up? Is he going to be down? What we
got going on? We're going to talk about it right
here on up on game. We're gonna take a quick breaks.
Speaker 5 (14:27):
TJ.
Speaker 3 (14:27):

I'm looking at the games this week. The Bengals are
visiting the Vikings. The Vikings are at a minus three
in this game. Who That's a hard one to call,
but I gotta tell you, you got two different quarterbacks
doing two different things from the two guys that were
doing it once they were in And I'm gonna lean
(15:30):
towards the Bengals on this one versus the Vikings. So
I'll probably roll with the Vikings.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
On that one.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
And then another interesting one this week, the Broncos are
visiting the Chargers in LA.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
The Chargers at.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
A minus two and a half that seems to be
a pretty interesting line right there.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
But I do believe the Chargers have what.
Speaker 3 (15:51):

This up on Game. T J.
Speaker 3 (18:21):
Huschman's Outa's plus Cobers, I'm LeVar Arrington. Uh fellas, I mean,
we'd be having so much to get to and we
be having so little time to get to it. But
let's let's let's see if we can get it done.
Jayde and Daniels going into this one. He's going to
be out of the tilt versus the Raiders. It's going
(18:43):
to be a Marcus Mariota game. That should be that
should be interesting to watch see how that all plays
out with him getting in there. It seems like it's
a week the week deal for Jayde and Daniels. Uh
(19:04):
what what are our feelings on this? It doesn't seem
like it's two series. It's a Sprain I should note
that one who has had extensive history with sprain knees. Uh,
you gotta be careful with sprain needs. You got to
give it the proper time for it to hell, or
it becomes easier for you to injure that need the
(19:25):
same way you know, moving forward. What is your take is,
are the commanders in in decent position to be able
to move forward with Marcus Mariota at Mariota until Jaden
gets back or is this cause.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
For concern.
Speaker 5 (19:43):
Man? To me, it's cause for concern.
Speaker 6 (19:45):
Marcus Mariota obviously one of the top picks of the
drop believe is the number two pick behind Jameis Winston
when he came out of Oregon. That offense he had
at Orgon with Chip Kelly never lived up to the
hype when he played with the Titans.
Speaker 5 (19:58):
Jade Daniels came into.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
League and right off the rip was a really really
good player as a Rooky. They just gonna have to
be I'm concerned because McLaurin holds out, he holds out,
he find gets you knew you was gonna get a
man Is deal. Just give it to him so him
and Jane Daniels can continue to work on their chemistry.
(20:20):
To me, Mariota is a slightly not a slightly. He's
a big downgrade to me from Jade Daniels. And that's
no disrespect, that's just a understanding of what Jade Daniels
brought to the table and what he accomplishes a roocky
the commanders. It will be interesting to see how they
(20:44):
navigate this when Jaye Daniels comes back, Are they gone
still have him running the ball as frequently?
Speaker 5 (20:50):
Because now it's starting to show.
Speaker 6 (20:51):
Like, all right, he's really good running the ball, but
he's also really good throwing the ball. Yes, and so
you want to keep him available, you want to keep
him healthy. So they're gonna Cliff Kingsbury and that offensive
staff is going to have to figure out a good
balance of how often do we want him running the
ball because last year he was able to pretty much
(21:14):
play free and avoid injury, and so you don't the
first thing I thought about, man, I don't know. When
you see the clip they keep showing where they sail
his knee, is he hurt his knee? It kind of
reminded me, And luckily it didn't get to this point
of when RG three was playing the ravens Man and
he took out a yeah and Hellodinada.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
Hit him on that off his body.
Speaker 6 (21:36):
He was never the same. I just hope that doesn't
happen with Jaye Daniels because the future looks so promising.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
Yeah, man, about this time, right now, you're starting to
miss Brian Robinson Jr. Because now that Marcus Garriota has
been inserted into this offense, I would think that dan
Quinn going into this game is really going to try
to minimize Marcus Marrio from going out and really mismanaging
(22:07):
and turning the football over, which which he has done
consistently in his career when with Tennessee. Let's just be honest,
he's not a very good quarterback. And the Washington Commanders
are on the brink of they're competing in the NFC East.
I can't just say that the Philadelphia Eagles are going
(22:27):
to win this division because I really believe that Daniels
he's on a climb to be one of the best quarterbacks,
not just not just in the division, but in this league,
and I think kind of hurts him. So for right now,
if I'm dan Quinn, I really want to go out
and establish the run game. You know, get Micky Law
(22:49):
and the ball, Austin Acktler, some of these guys, because
I believe that the Washington Commanders have one of the
best defenses in all the.
Speaker 5 (22:56):
Football Hey, without Actler, without actler. Yeah, I say, now,
Jay Daniels, who you thin?
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Yeah, And it's only Jaydon Daniels for possibly a week.
Like we're not talking like like Joe Burrow, where this
is an extended amount of time where he's out. We're
only talking you know, week to week with with Jaydon Daniels.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
But I think what you said.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
I think what TJ said though, is something to be
like thought of is how are we going to use him?
And looking at what we talked about at the top
of the show about Tua, Tua doesn't seem to be
running as fearlessly as he did before them concussions took place.
If you change the way maybe Jaydon Daniels is looking
(23:40):
at what he's doing, do you change the essence of
who he is as a player by possibly saying, hey, look,
don't run as much. We need you to throw the
ball on a gear our offense to throw it more.
Does that hurt them if they do that?
Speaker 4 (23:55):
But I'm just saying from a player perspective, even if
dan Quinn stepped to the Dames, so listen, we're trying
to protect you, or don't run the football as much,
but you would know when you get it on the
football field ball.
Speaker 5 (24:08):
Yeah, you're gonna play ball.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
Your reaction to the game is going to tell your
body what to do. So even if they do tell
him to try to calm it down, slow it down
a little bit, we're gonna protect you. We're gonna put
in more plays for you to be a pocket passer,
which he's phenomenal being doing both. But I just don't see.
I just don't see that you can step to Jade
(24:30):
and Daniels and tell him not not.
Speaker 5 (24:33):
To be the athlete that he is.
Speaker 6 (24:36):
It ain't It ain't about LeVar like toning down the runs.
It's ay, jaydon just slide a little bit, because he.
Speaker 5 (24:42):
Don't even be sliding. Bro't just he's just gonna get tackled.
Speaker 3 (24:46):
So just slid a little. He's not a big dude.
He is not a big dude. It's not like he's Cama.
Speaker 5 (24:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
Then it's wiry, real wiry.
Speaker 5 (24:57):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
All right, Well we're gonna have to wait and see
how that goes. Maybe Marcus Mariota can keep them well,
get them to above five hundred with his entry.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
Into the game.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
We'll see if he can handle that in the mix.
Another one who did get into the mix and made
things work for the San Francisco forty nine ers was
Mac Jones. But before we get to him, let's take
a quick break, and let's well not break, but let's
let's take a news break. Let's bring Isaac Loewen Crawn
in and let's hear what's going on in the world
of sports before we talk about this Mac Jones situation.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
So what again, I Lowell, Thank you, LeVar.
Speaker 9 (25:34):
We've got one game going on right now in college
football between ranked opponents and seventeenth rank Texas Tech continues
to lead at number sixteen Utah seven to nothing with
one forty five and counting remaining in the first half.
Arkansas has a twenty one to ten lead at Memphis
with one forty nine left in the first tap, and
they're trying to add to it. They have a first
(25:55):
down and goal at the Memphis one yard line. Maryland
up seventeen to nothing at Wisconsin with one fifty two
left to play in the second quarter, and Syracuse now
leads at Clemson twenty four to seven with two twenty
nine left to play in the first half. This is
the first time that Clemson has trailed by ten plus
(26:17):
points in three consecutive games since twenty twelve, And with
that in mind, for reasonable logical national analysis, what better
place to turn than the Clemson message boards. This courtesy
of the popular social media account message board Geniuses at
(26:38):
eighty one Tiger S sixteen, posting quotes fire everyone, the
entire staff down to the water boys unquote, I don't
know what the I don't know what the water boys
responsibility losses dirty water that must be it at Tigers
bad water, that must be eight one eight posting Dabbo
(27:01):
can stay in the locker room at halftime? What an arrogant,
absolute dumb bleep coattail rider one quote. And finally at
Clemson Fan three twenty two, posting and again, I quote,
it's not twenty nineteen anymore. Dabbo is washed and isn't
gonna bring us back to the mountain tip unquote. Geez,
(27:26):
not the not the mountain top, but the mountain tip.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
I'm gonna stay away from that one out long.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
Probably should I must stay away from that one now tip. Yeah,
that's that's just you know, maybe that's a major pause.
Speaker 9 (27:39):
Maybe I should Maybe I should just move on to
the NFL. Huh, that's where move on that's where the NFL.
The New York Jets just ruled out safety Tony Adams
for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay due to a hip injury. Earlier,
the Kansas City Chiefs officially ruled out receiver Xavier Worthy
for Sunday nights game against the New York Giants due
to a shoulder injury. Now back to the absolute Mountain
(28:02):
tip of sports talk radio up on game.
Speaker 3 (28:07):

sure you check out today's show by podcast.

he goes into New Orleans. New Orleans is not an
easy place to play.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
It is not.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
And it was a close game and mac Jones delivered.
He went twenty six for thirty nine. He put up
two hundred and seventy nine yards throwing and put three
tds on the board and protected the ball.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
No.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
I in T's some people believe that mac Jones could
possibly and I know, I think I heard you say
this last.
Speaker 5 (29:09):
Week, TJ.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
What's the difference or is mac Jones really a downgrade
from Brock Purty, which has now led to brock Purty
seemingly trying to get back quicker from that injury that
he sustained to get back out there on the field.
Speaker 5 (29:27):
Now.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
I don't know that to be factual, but it seems
like just hearing the conversations that are surfacing, is that
maybe Brock Purdy needs to get back out there on
that field pretty quickly, because well, mac Jones could be
a viable option moving forward for this team. What say, y'all,
(29:47):
what never happened? Mac Jones is a good quarterback.
Speaker 6 (29:52):
Mac Jones showed as a rookie that you put him
in a system where the coach knows what he's doing,
he can go to work. After that, you know, Bill
Belichick decided he was smarter than everybody. We're gonna make
defensive guys o c's and we already know that story.
But once you play, you pay brock Party. Oh Mac Jones,
(30:12):
he has no he has no chance of being a
starting quarterback in the San Francisco forty nine ers long term.
They pray they paid brock Party. So this is Rock
Party's job, Mac Jones. We need you to win as
many games possible. I don't care how many of you win.
You can win all of them. You going to the
bench from Brock Party is ready to play. And that's
just the questions. As we know, we all know that,
(30:35):
just that, that's just the reality of it. But Mac
Jones looked good. I believe he will continue to look
good because he showed that as a rookie, he's shown
he can play. And now you're going with one of
the best offensive minds in football and Kyle Shanahan, a
guy that can scheme up.
Speaker 5 (30:54):
And this is what I really like.
Speaker 6 (30:56):
I don't know if you guys paid attention to an
interview and what Mac Jones said. He said, man, Kyle
Shanahan called the play and he told us dur He
told me during the week of practice, when I call
this play, this is the look that I'm expecting. We
may not get this look, but this is what I'm expecting,
and if they play it this way, this guy's gonna
(31:17):
be wide open right here. And Mac Jones said it
worked exactly how Kyle Shanahan said it would work.
Speaker 5 (31:25):
Bro that's coaching. That's coaching.
Speaker 6 (31:28):
And that's why some of these Kyle Shanahan's, Andy Reid's,
Sean Payton's, Sean McVay, Matt.
Speaker 5 (31:36):
Lafour, Givin O'Connell.
Speaker 6 (31:39):
This why these dudes get, they get and deserve the
big bucks because not only are they coaching eight players. Hey,
this is what I expect if it happens, and it
happens in the game, that's how you build trust. And
I love it. But Mac Jones keep balling. But you're
going back to the bench from pretty healthy.
Speaker 4 (31:56):
Sous, even the fact that we all know that Mac
is going back to the bench once Brock party is healthy.
But you just said something to me that I want you,
I want you, I want.
Speaker 5 (32:07):
You to.
Speaker 4 (32:09):
Answer from you said that. You said that Mac Jones
went out there, he looked good. He went twenty six
for thirty nine two hundred and seventy nine yards against
the Saints in three touchdowns.
Speaker 5 (32:19):
But what you just.
Speaker 4 (32:20):
Said is that he is now being coached by an
elite play caller in Cayl Shannon, which.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
Means he's better than Brock Party.
Speaker 4 (32:32):
So are you saying that that means he's better than
Brock Party. Quarterbacks can come into the system of Cayl
Shannahan and look just like Brock Party or even better
than Rock Party.
Speaker 5 (32:46):
Is that what you were insinuating.
Speaker 6 (32:49):
I wouldn't say what Brock Party like people because he
was drafted late. It's always gonna be he can't play
Brock Party can play. Guys, what really good talent? You
also have to have a good mind, you said talent
brock Perty had Deebo Samuel Kittle, Yes, yes he did, Christ.
Speaker 4 (33:10):
And you now now you're looking at Now you're looking
at Matt Jones.
Speaker 5 (33:15):
The situation this is he goes out.
Speaker 6 (33:18):
This is why I really wanted to see how bron
Purdy would play to start the season, because I wasn't playing,
Deebo wasn't there, and now that George Kittles, I really
wanted to see how he would play because last year
he was one and six against playoff teams without those guys,
So I was really interested to see how he would play.
(33:41):
Obviously I'm not getting that opportunity, but that is a
great I see where you're going with that. That's a
great question because I was Andrew did myself two hundred and.
Speaker 4 (33:51):
Sixty five million over five years, and now you're telling
me that mac Jones is stepping in a step in
under c and he is looking black Brack Purty or
even perhaps better than.
Speaker 3 (34:01):
Brock perty fifteenth overall pick, fifteenth overall pick and immediately
had an impact on that page eight.
Speaker 6 (34:10):
Do you guys recall fifty three million year guys, do
you guys recall when the forty nine ers traded up.
Everybody said they were drafting Mac Jones.
Speaker 5 (34:25):
Everything. Nobody said they were drafting Tree Lance.
Speaker 6 (34:27):
Everybody thought they were going to go get that jobs
up getting and I believe Shanahan wanted Mac Jones, Others
wanted Trey Lance.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
Okay, so let's just say this, there's a strong possibility
Mac Jones apathetically, Hypothetically, Mac Jones goes out and he plays,
I don't know, he throws another two or three touchdown game,
two seventy nine, three hundred yards. He going to the
bets three or four plus games. He's going to the bench.
Speaker 5 (34:58):
He's going to the bench.
Speaker 6 (35:00):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we all know this dude just signed
that con Now, if he signed that contract two years ago,
it's possible. Dude just signed this contract this all season, man,
Mac Jones.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
No, so no, So what I'm trying to say is
that basically that brock Purty is basically a product of
Kyle Shanahan.
Speaker 1 (35:19):
He is a product.
Speaker 5 (35:20):
Yeah, yeah, I am said.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
Yes, I am saying I agree with that.
Speaker 6 (35:23):
Yes, Shanahan is a hell of a coach man, Like
I'm gonna give Shanahan his credit.
Speaker 5 (35:28):
I know people be down on Shanahan, not TJ. Shannon.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
I'm not li Shanahan. I'm down on the Niners.
Speaker 5 (35:36):
They got they have two great coaches.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
There's a chance they don't.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
You know what's crazy, there's a chance they don't win
that game at Brock perty is the quarterback of that
team going in.
Speaker 6 (35:45):
They have Kyle Shanahan and they have Robert Salah. You
got one guy running the offense, run guy won the defense.
That's two great coaches, not good great.
Speaker 5 (35:52):
One hundred and eighty one million dollars years.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
I'm gonna tell y'all what's gonna happen. Break I'm gonna
tell y'all what's gonna happen. Mac Jones is going to
play well, and he's gonna play well enough where he's
going to be sitting in the wings, and Brock Purdy
will get his job back when he's healthy to play
because of that contract, but he will not have the
amount of time that he would have had if mac
(36:16):
Jones didn't.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
Play well or doesn't play. If he plays well.
Speaker 5 (36:20):
Has all the time.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
I don't think so. I don't think so, because bro Brock.
Speaker 4 (36:25):
He has he has another he has another two years
that they all guarantee his contract sixty five million.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
That's not enough money to punt on the season. And
he has shown that he isn't that good. He isn't
that good without all them weapons that y'all.
Speaker 5 (36:41):
I told you all that.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
So if he goes in there and he's not playing
as well as mac Jones is while he's out, there's
a strong possibility you might see mac Jones play, even
though Brock Purdy got that big contract.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
I just can't see.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
Kyle Shanahan or John Lynch or or company saying we're
punning on the season when we got a quarterback that's
playing better or potentially play better than our big money
quarterback that's in there right now.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
I don't see that.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
I don't see that happening right But what I said
a month ago, I said, with the absence of Deebo
Samuel and Christian McCaffrey not being healthy and Brandon, I you.
Speaker 1 (37:19):
You got Christian McCaffrey that.
Speaker 4 (37:21):
All that some of his deficiencies of a quarterback would
begin to show.
Speaker 3 (37:26):
And don't forget Trent Williams was out too. Yeah, and
now that's a big part of it. And now you
get a look at Mac Jones. Now you says to yourself, well, well,
maybe it was just New England and not so much
Mac Jones. I mean, come on, man, if you're down
the offense that way with Brock Purdy, what you're gonna
do with Mac Jones, who's a fifteen former overall pick
(37:47):
that was probably really good, just in a bad situation.
Most of us that get drafted high I go to
bad situations.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
That happens. He's not in a bad situation right now.
Speaker 3 (37:57):
And I don't think that it's beyond the realm of
possibility that Mac Jones is literally a better quarterback than
Brock Purdy.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
I'm just saying.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
When he was playing for the last two years, Hey,
look we got to get to the break. We're gonna
get back. We're gonna do some up on Game Down
on game that's TJ. Hutchman's that's Plexico Burs. I'm LeVar Arrington.
