Speaker 2 (00:06):
We are nothing.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
You want NFL experience, then this is the show for you.
It's our time with LaVar aary Tet.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
TJ. Hushman, Zanna, let the players aside the game.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
And Plexico Burress.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
All I gotta say is this don't hum the bear man.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
It's a show with three of the best to ever
do it on and off the field, and no by
from the Fox Sports Radio studios. Here's Pro Bowlers LaVar
ary Tet, TJ. Hushman, Sanna and Super Bowl chimpion Plexico Burres.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
All right, all right, welcome into hour two of the show.
We have so much to get to an obviously hour
two we changed from the foot ball at some point
to the round ball and if being bounced around. We'll
talk about all those things cause we're want to bring
in cuffs in a few minutes. But hey, you know,
it's a Saturday and Saturdays are made for original Louisiana
(01:08):
hot sauce. It's perfect balance of peppers, vinegar and so
throw it on your wings. You're not showed your burgers,
any of your tailgate dishes. It's a winner. It's bold,
it's hand crafted flavor, and it's value by you built
so value may make sure you get you some Louisiana
Hot sauce. Guys. Let's uh yeah, let's get to it.
(01:33):
You know what. I had a couple of things I
wanted to say, but let's just get right to it.
When you hear this, you know who's coming up right
after that.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Now it's time to check in with Cuffs, the legend
from some dude show podcast on up on Game Presents,
Cuffs is giving you his spicy takes on what's going down.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
You take the heat like.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Lebron and now here's Cuffs, the legend.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
It's cold town, all right. I wonder if you could
put Louisiana Hot sauce on them griddle cakes that he's
texting over and and I want one of them up,
I want one of them cakes that he sent our
way to or was on the social media. Uh, we're
(02:20):
gonna get the basketball, but first and foremost, we got cups.
The legend from some dude show. How you feeling, brouh,
how you how you're doing? How would you Christmas show?
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Happy Holidays? My brother my up on game brother than crazy.
You know I hope everybody enjoy their family. Man, I
hope everybody enjoyed all the washed gifts that they got.
Fellas y'all, did y'all get even watch the gifts?
Speaker 2 (02:43):
You know?
Speaker 4 (02:43):
I got stopped, you know, for the for the fortieth
straight Christmas. You know, I got the Bossters, you got
the Red Rock gift card? You all got you know
what what if do y'all get? Man?
Speaker 2 (02:55):
For Christy ice packs? I got new sets of ice packs.
That's the ultimate.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
You watched the gift right there, right there?
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yeah, yeah, I got so you know, I watched some washed.
Speaker 5 (03:12):
Gifts on television talking about the LA Lakers. Watch gifts
running up and down the basketball court. Since since we're
just talking about the LA Laker, let's get right back
into it, because last week we really didn't have a
chance to talk about the LA Leakers. That's what I said, leakers,
because right now, the Lost Angela's Leakers are leaking oil
(03:36):
in every possible way moving forward. This engine is not
a fine oil machine. Right now, Lebron James is leaking
transmission fluid. He can't seem to get it in give
scoring to basketball. Low carb Luca is playing worse than
stay puffer Luca. I think he's a better player when
he's a little puff for you. Uh a fifty, You
(04:00):
give him the keys to the car. Uh everything when
he was backfired. Now they saying, oh, we should have
traded all fifteen last year. Look at what he's doing now.
Uh three losses in a row.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
Uh, I don't know. Now, JJ Reddick, who was the
head coach.
Speaker 5 (04:16):
He's basically talking about his players like it's a junior
high high school basketball team. This is a professional basketball club.
You shouldn't be going on television saying that your team
is not giving out any effort defensively. You should never
have to question a professional athletes effort day in and
(04:36):
day out. So with that being said, TJ and Cuffs,
you guys have the floor to tell us the world
what exactly is going on with your l A Leakers.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Hey, Pla, you came in real hot right there. You
came in you knowkers right then, like at Anthony Josh
to take Paul fight. But look, man, I gotta agree
with you. The jig is hovering in LA right now.
And I'm gonna put on my fan hat today. You
(05:09):
know normally this media hat. Cuff, I come in here.
I'm gonna put on my fan hat man, because we
all fans. At the end of the day, I'm becoming
a Luca Doncis non believer man, And yeah, I will
say low carb Luca. Man, his game is empty calories.
(05:29):
I've been on the record saying that even lately on
social media. His game, if you watch it, man, it's
a bunch of empty calories, meaning it's a bunch of
bailout step back to the left, highly contested shots, bad
shot selection, and he's not getting he's not getting other
guys involved. Lebron has turned into a corner guy. Lebron's
(05:52):
in the corner like Bruce Bowen now, like Robert or now.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
And I just feel like Luca isn't his return.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Don't you feel like his return and is the reason
why the fall off is taking place so quickly Ago, Yeah,
I feel like it's gotta be him, his influences jacking
them up because they just fine when he ain't around.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
They were eight and two, they were eight and too
when Lebron came back, right, what happened realistically, what's happened
is they're playing good teams and Austin Reeves and Luca
are getting exposed on the defensive end. And that's what
JJ is basically speaking in code at the pressors. That's
what he's besically saying. We don't expect Lebron to be
(06:34):
forty one years old being our best defender anymore. We
need our cornerstone, our cornerstone guys. Calabasa's bird off the reeves.
He's down with an injury now, so that's one last guy.
But he was really pointing the finger. I feel like
JJ was pointing the finger at Luca, saying, Luca, you
gotta play defense man. We know you could score thirty five,
(06:56):
but if you're not gonna move to puppies and guard nobody.
Maybe Nico Harrison was right, was right? Maybe Nicolas this
whole time, because I want to say this, because I
had this.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
We had this conversation a few weeks ago, how.
Speaker 5 (07:12):
The LA Laker is going to look when Lebron comes back,
And just like you said, he's turning to a corner guy.
But you have to agree with me and say that
he's never been off the ball player in the in
the league in its whole twenty seasons. So now he's
given Luca the ball. Now he's playing off the ball
and this whole offense. Isn't this so right? Because he
(07:35):
wants to let Luca but basically have the torch to
the team and it's not working.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
So now what does Lebron James have.
Speaker 5 (07:44):
To do moving forward? He's going to have to go
back to get the basketball in his hand up and
down the court.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
And now Luca.
Speaker 5 (07:52):
It's going to hurt Luca because he's never been an
off the ball player. So that's where your problem is
offensively with the Lakers. Who is going to take charge
of this basketball team?
Speaker 6 (08:02):
We don't have a problem offensively. We don't have a
problem offensively. We score enough point number one the NBA.
I'm not gonna lie. This is probably the first like
this is the first year that I haven't really watched
a ton of NBA. I'm tired of the one hundred
and thirty five, one hundred and twenty nine. That's not
(08:23):
interesting to me, man, I don't want to watch a
game where teams are scoring over one hundred and twenty points.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Like I catch myself now, like I'm glad all these
Bowl games.
Speaker 6 (08:31):
I'll watch an average Bowl game now before I watch
an NBA game, Because I'm tired of the scorer is
always in one hundred and twenties, one hundred and thirties.
I want one hundred and three to ninety nine game.
That's what I want to watch. But offense is not
a problem for the Lakers. It's can they get stops?
Can we get stops? And you can owe Lebron's in
(08:52):
the corner. I don't care that Lebron's in the corner
because we're scoring enough points.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
I do.
Speaker 6 (08:57):
We're scoring enough points. Can you stop somebody? And the
Los Angeles Lakers they cannot get stops. Through the game
yesterday which I watch against the Houston Rockets, Was it yesterday?
Speaker 3 (09:11):
No, it wasn't. Here's two days ago, two days ago, yep.
Speaker 6 (09:14):
Right, the first possession, the Rockets have four offensive rebounds.
Bro the first possession of the game, they are four
offensive rebounds like that's all desire and want to box
out get a rebound, like that's all desire and want
to And so for me, the answer it is not
on offense. That's not so what's killing us, man, It
(09:36):
is we cannot get stops. And that is the biggest
problem because you have to want to play defense. Is
it gonna get you tired? Yeah, are you gonna win
more games?
Speaker 3 (09:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (09:47):
If you don't have the desire to get stops, it's
gonna be the same story over. And what do you
do when these guys is making all this type of money,
You can't bench them.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
What do you do? What do you do?
Speaker 6 (09:58):
You challenging publicly and you got people, Oh, you can't
challenge them publicly or you're losing the locker room. What
the hell are you supposed to be? Everybody got all
the answers when they're not playing.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Hmm. Well, I'll say this, feeding off of the success
of college basketball brackets that we've done our challenge each March,
We've decided to do a bracket challenge.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Guys to do that.
Speaker 6 (10:20):
It wouldn't even let me do it, because I know
I would because you know you're gonna I mean, I
know I needed to go ahead and I put it in.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
Don't worry about it. I'll tell you't let me do it, yeah,
because you know they knew I had it locked up anyway.
You know, make sure you guys is an eighteen left
standing in the college football bracket challenge complete all right,
and compete against our Fox Sports radio hosts outside of
TJ huschman zide. Obviously he didn't want to participate. Uh,
(10:50):
he didn't want to lose to me in this challenge.
So but you can so make sure you uh yeah,
fill out your bracket, uh play for your has to
win one thousand dollars. There is cash involved. Visit Fox
Sports Radio dot iHeart dot com to register, get rules,
and to fill out your bracket as well.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
Entry will be.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Open until before kickoff at seven thirty pm Eastern.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
On New Year's Eve.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Again, fill out your bracket at Fox Sports Radio dot
iHeart dot com for your chance to win one thousand dollars. Fellas,
before we get to the break, I know we was
talking Lakers and basketball plex jump right on out there
and went straight to the round ball in the hard court,
(11:40):
but I did want to get y'all's opinion on Deshaun
Watson before we go to the break and continue to
discuss basketball. But this is what the Fanski had to
say coming into the week. Deshaun Watson has been doing
a remarkable job of rehabbing and getting back into shape.
(12:03):
But this is what Kevin Stefanski had to say about
him possibly coming back and returning to play.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
On the roster. We will not activate Deshaun, so he
will go to reserve. Back to reserve pup, but really.
Speaker 5 (12:17):
Proud of the progress that he's making, doing a really
nice job in the meeting room on the field of
these last few weeks.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
I don't know if Stefanski will be back, but I
have a strong intuition based upon the numbers, that Deshaun Watson.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
Will be back.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
It sounds as though he's given him some props for
the work he's put in and maybe even thought about it.
I continue to say, if he could have came back
to play this year, I want to see him play,
and I want to see him play just specifically because well,
for what it's worth, he's still your franchise quarterback. So
I would want to see if he has any good
reps in him for this season, just to see what
(12:57):
I'm working with going in to the offseason. But what
you know, just super quickly because we don't have a
lot of time. But what you guys, what's your take
on this?
Speaker 6 (13:06):
Well, it's a matter of time, man, Deshaun Watson, with
the injuries and the way he's played, we all want
to he gonna get it together this year. He gonna
get another, it's over man, a trade that looks so
promising that ninety percent of the NFL would have made
that was looking for a quarterback.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
Maybe the worst trading in NFL history.
Speaker 6 (13:33):
And so maybe it's just it's unfortunate. It's unfortunate that
the Browns had to do this and go through this.
But the way Deshaun.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
Watson played with the Houston Texans.
Speaker 6 (13:47):
I don't know a team in the league that needed
a quarterback that wouldn't have done the same thing.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
Man, what can what can you say that you can't back?
But not to the tune of two hundred and thirty million.
I was guaranteed.
Speaker 6 (14:01):
The reason he had leverage because he was going to
the Falcons. If you recall every it was reported that
he was going to the Atlanta Falcons and then the
Cleveland Brown's come in and offering a fully guaranteed contract.
That's how bad they wanted even that's how good Deshaun
Watson was when he's with the Houston Texans.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
He had that leverage.
Speaker 5 (14:17):
He's very good. I'm gonna just keep it short. The sweek, Man,
Deshaun Watson will be on this roster in twenty twenty six. Man,
he has a they owe on what next year he's
He's gonna be on the last year of his contract
for forty six million dollars eighty million dollars against a
cap man, which makes them possibly un impossible whatever you
want to say to trade him. So he's going to
(14:38):
be there next year, Stefanski will not. I don't know
what you do moving forward with this quarterback room because
obviously you have Dylan Gabriels your door, Sanders. Deshaun Watson
is going to be there next year regardless, so Cleveland
Browns Andrew Barry. I don't know what you do moving
forward in the quarterback room. But uh, Deshaun Watson, he's
not going anywhere just because of everything that I just said. Man,
(15:01):
forty six million dollar guarantee you next season, nobody's taking
on that contract.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
I go cause you get the last word on it.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Well, I was gonna say, if the family man, Philip Rivers,
if the family man Philip Rivers can get a gig
at forty four, then the door is still open for DeShawn.
I know you got three hundred million. You could go
to Bali's Overever and Ruffle Simmons and become a Buddhist
and get off the grid. But I would say, look, man,
why not if Philip Rivers can do it, why not
why not?
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Yeah, We'll not saying it's interesting, it's not plat will.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
I don't know if Stefanski is back, if it's a
new coach, what is that new coach is, what is
his priorities coming into it? Do you try to figure
out what you have and Shador? Do you try to
figure out what you have in Dashawn? Do you try
to figure out what you have in Dylan Gabriel? Do
you try to figure out what you have in all
three of them? That's probably going to be the first,
(15:56):
you know, conversation that has to take place between any coach,
whether it's Stefanski or whether it's a new coach, It's
going to have to be the first question that is
answered going into that offseason and into the new NFL year.
But you're stock, you know, you're stuck. Whoever did the deal,
(16:17):
You have no one to blame but yourself. You did
a deal with Deshaun Watson that gives him this flexibility
to take this long to get himself back ready to go.
So I mean you should exhaust every opportunity to try
to figure out if he's the guy for the job. Anyway,
this is up on game. We will continue to talk
some basketball. But I did crowbar that football piece of
(16:39):
it into it because I just wanted to hear what
everybody's thought process was. I say, get the dude to go.
I want to see if he could be the starter.
So maybe you're going to have a healthy quarterback competition.
Don't waste a draft pick on the top QB if
you're the Browns. But that's just me. Bad organizations do
bad things, so don't be surprised if they use their
(17:00):
first pick or trade to try to get high up
to get you know, a top drive pick at that position.
But anyway, this is up on game and this is
Fox Sports Radio. We're gonna take a quick break on
the other side of it. Like I said, we're going
to continue to talk some round ball, a whole lot
of things going on. There will be right back and
you know it. When we go to the to the breaks,
(17:21):
I gotta talk to you about topics. You know, whether
it be you know your performance when it's ready or
when it's time for your food to perform. Well, we're
talking MVP right now, MVP talking. I'm not talking players,
I'm talking poors. Yeah, that's right. The most valuable poor,
(17:42):
I know who mine is. It's the most valuable poor
in the world. That's the original Louisiana Hot Sauce. And
here's why it's the MVP because this sauce has shown
me over and over and over again that it can
make it work with three hard hitting ingredients peppers, vinegar,
and salt.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Very simple.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
Just like myself, I like things simple and easy, but
I like it to have that perfect balance of heat
and flavor when we're talking about hot sauce that is.
And that's right. Well, my MVP is MVP material because
of that. That's why that old faithful poor of my
people at Louisiana Hot is the most valuable poor that
(18:28):
you will ever get. So make sure you get to
Louisiana Hotsauce dot com. Yeah, get you some and you
can go get it wherever it is that you know
obviously you get your uh, you get your food from
you know, from the grocery stores, whatever it is. Make
sure you go check it out. It's tasty, it's Louisiana legacy.
It deserves to be respected and You'll not only find
(18:50):
yourself saying MVP, you'll find yourself saying VP.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
If you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
That's Louisiana hot sauce. Make sure you buy you some.
Speaker 1 (19:00):

all right, he I got some honey bunk take for
you to ask the more about my honey bun take.
I'm a good one.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
Looks good.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
I cannot wait. I'll share.
Speaker 8 (21:34):
I'm gonna I'm going to have to reply in kind
I will be headed to the kitchen. Well, actually I
won't because it turns out, Cuffs, I got something for
you here it is, uh oh.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
Okay, okay, yeah, that's your that's your bears.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
Can rug music with jut your boxer shorts?
Speaker 8 (22:00):
Yeah, except except for the boxer shorts part.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
Anyway.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
Do you want to?
Speaker 6 (22:05):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Oh come on, you already knew that, Cuffs you want to?
Speaker 4 (22:14):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (22:15):
You want to? Did we lose LeVar?
Speaker 4 (22:17):
Is?
Speaker 1 (22:17):
He is? He lost consciousness? That's right?
Speaker 8 (22:23):
So why don't you introduce America to uh? Why don't
you introduce America to who that is cuffs?
Speaker 4 (22:29):
I think it's Dave get his head over Heels's my
game right here?
Speaker 8 (22:32):
Man, that's right, that's right. Remember the name, remember the song,
and remember the performance by Levar's Penn State Nitney lyons.
They are still pitching a goose egg at the Pinstripe
bull because with a minute and a half remaining in
the first half, it's Penn State three and Clemson nothing.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
It, sir.
Speaker 8 (22:55):
Meanwhile, today's NFL double header kicks off at four thirty
Eastern as the Los Angeles Chargers the Houston Texans.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
Here are the stakes.
Speaker 8 (23:01):
Texans win, they clinch a playoff spot and clinch the
AFC West for the Denver Broncos. If the Chargers win,
they can win the AFC West by winning at Denver
next weekend. Chargers come in on a four game winning streak.
Texans come in on a seven game winning streak. That's
the longest active streak in the league. Then Tonight, at
eight pm Eastern, the Baltimore Ravens visit the Green Bay Packers.
(23:22):
The Ravens need to win to keep their admittedly slim
playoff hopes alive. Jordan Love, however, will not play due
to concussions. So that means that Malik Willis will get
the started quarterback for Green Bay exactly, guys, back to you.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Appreciate it, I Loo and from one headline extraordinaire deliverer,
let's let's go to another one that gets the insides
and has all of the good information and the cool
information cuffs what you got, Man's what's your big headlines
for this week?
Speaker 4 (23:55):
Big headlines this week? Guys, If y'all remember a couple
of weeks ago, clustered Amis custard armist tried to tell
y'all about these Stantonio Spurs. We try to tell you
about these Spurs if you could pull the audio up, Ilo,
it's in the cloud somewhere. But I said, this is
the one team that matches up it's a nightmare matchup.
And we saw now three times in a row the
(24:18):
Spurs have taken the OKC thunder. But we all thought
were pretty much invincible this year. We were talking about
them guys getting seventy three wins and breaking the all
time record for wins in the seam in the season.
Now it's looking like the Spurs, led by the fawn
Castle not win Miyama. But the six six d Ways,
(24:39):
the fawn Castle, Devin Matill, the young Latrell Spree. Well,
we got Kelton Johnson off the bench, and I'm saying
we right now because it might be a slim chance.
It might be a slim chance, y'all, that Lebron Damn
James might be in the place for the Spurs in
the off season.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
I want to say, come on, what they trade for him?
They can trade for him now, who they send him?
Speaker 4 (25:06):
What is this big bar and deal they could tj
They praise for Lebron right now, but don't I'm sure
you had but Harper, deal at Harper. Look, look at
Louke Cortnett. Louke Curtinet is looking like a hitting them
from the Celtics. These Spurs, I will say this, from
(25:27):
top to bottom, their roster has better players than okay see.
And it's showing an these three matchups. They've not only
just beat okay See. They took him to the woodshed
like Paul Bunyan bro that they take an these boys
out back Noble did it win? I don't know, guys,
I don't know. I don't think it's that clear cut
(25:48):
as it was just a two, two or three weeks ago,
cause I.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
Gotta go back to three weeks ago. Man, it's Nick Cloud.
Speaker 5 (25:55):
You came on the show and you was talking about
breaking up the Santa Antonio Spurs because you heard that
there was where there's smoke desth fire that you wanted
to join Giannis with Wimby. You wanted to get rid
of the Aaron Fox, you wanted to get rid of Castle.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
Dylan Harple.
Speaker 5 (26:17):
You wanted to break this whole team up because you
wanted to see Wimby and Yanni's play together. And now
you over here co signing what I said a few
weeks ago about the Santano's Tan Antonio Spurs their guard
deep and as far as Garden Winby, you can't because
it's versatally impossible. And now you're saying we because the
(26:42):
San Antonio Spurs are looking like the future NBA champion,
which you did say this week, like right now, that
the San Antonio Spurs will compete to win a world
championship right now.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
Everybody saw like two three years down the road.
Speaker 5 (27:00):
But I'm just watching that what they've been able to
accomplience versus ok see, because I thought that they were
the best team to lead right now, it's all San
Antonio Spurs NBA champions.
Speaker 6 (27:15):
To me, this is why, hey, this is why I
think the Spurs are so good and why they're better
than Okay.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
See, which is a surprise is.
Speaker 6 (27:24):
The Spurs team is full of two way players, but
they two way players are also great offensive players. That's
the difference. Uh, Dylan Harper averaging over ten points, Stefan
Castle obviously averaging over ten points, Darren Fox average over
ten points. They were saying three point guards can't play
on the same team, and they all averaging double figures
(27:46):
in points.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
They all can play defense.
Speaker 6 (27:48):
Whereas you look at Oklahoma City, they have really really,
really good two way players, but they're better defensive players.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
And so now when you have everybody on the court
for the Spurs can really score, that.
Speaker 6 (28:02):
The worst guy on the court and offensively, it's gonna
be Luke Courtney. That's what makes them hard. The handles,
every Vassal, Kevin, all them dudes get on the court,
they can score.
Speaker 9 (28:15):
Like they're the number one option and they need to be.
And look, they have enough experience they with this team. Okay, okay, starting.
Speaker 5 (28:28):
Right now, when I watched the San Antonio Spurs play
against O.
Speaker 3 (28:33):
K C.
Speaker 5 (28:33):
It seems to me that win Binyana is taking it
personal when he plays against Chet Holker.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
I'm the best big man to lead. He's taking it personal,
am I right? Cups he win got you got.
Speaker 4 (28:50):
Look if you watch the other night when Chet miss
that free throw, you sawyall but like really getting the static.
He was hype. He hates the fact that Check got
a ring before he did because he knows he's a
better player. And that's why I will say the Spurs
are better than him right now because Wenby is the
(29:11):
ultimate Chico, and they found the kink in the armor,
and the kink is chick. He's not physical enough, It's sure.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
I mean, how could he be?
Speaker 3 (29:19):
I mean, there's how could he be?
Speaker 2 (29:22):
He's like he's six foot what ten eleven anyways, what
ninety nine pounds?
Speaker 3 (29:30):
Soaking wet?
Speaker 5 (29:30):
They and you know what, and SGA knows there's a
chicken armor because he even came out and said it.
He said, a team just doesn't beat you three times
in the row by luck.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
They're better than you. They're better than we, y'all, and we.
Speaker 5 (29:45):
Gotta figure out the way moving forward because you said
last week that you can see OKC making a move
of the trade deadline. They know right now moving forward
that Santyn told that the San Antonio Spurs are problem
and they gonna have to be They're gonna have to
deal with it moving forward, not just for right now,
for the next how many years this team is together? Man,
(30:05):
it's a young basketball team. Man, What dealing with eighteen
nineteen years old? Wimby's in this third or fourth year? Man,
this is a team we're talking about a build or
donasty behind because they got the pieces to do so.
And if the OKC you want to compete with San Antonio,
they're gonna have to be getting more physical.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
I don't, I don't. I don't know.
Speaker 5 (30:29):
If something and these players are going to come out
and make them play a physical brand of basketball, but
they're going to have to make some moves from a
physical standpoint with the San Antonio Spurs if they want
to compete for another World championship?
Speaker 2 (30:43):
Can I watch the question why are we.
Speaker 3 (30:47):
Why are we holding like?
Speaker 2 (30:48):
Why are we hold court on talking about the Lakers
all the time? We talk about the thunder all the time,
and now we've entered the spurs into the consistent conversation
are the Nugget washed? Or are the Timberwolves? Are they washed?
This Rockets team? Y'all were so high on the Rockets
going into.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
The playoffs last year? Are the Rockets washed?
Speaker 1 (31:10):
Like?
Speaker 2 (31:10):
Where are we at? Are the Warriors?
Speaker 3 (31:11):
Are they washed? Where are we at?
Speaker 1 (31:13):
You know?
Speaker 4 (31:13):
I want to talk about Jokic. I wanted to talk
about Jokic. I was going to shout him out before
we go, because this man is putting up social Security numbers.
He had six, he had six. He's taking it personal
against Rudy Goberry, by the way, the last two times
sixty one teen and then fifty six sixteen and fifteen.
(31:35):
And I just want to ask y'all this question real quick.
Is Jokic better than Prime Shock? I think Joki is
the most.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
The most layof the cookies, lay off the cookies. The
game is different, man, It's a different game.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
It's a different game. There's nobody in the league that
could deal with Shaq and and for what it's worth,
and for what it's worth, this is this is what
I've settled in on. I've settled in on on new
school people who watch basket and this isn't towards you
cuffs by the way I'm saying, just I'm around.
Speaker 3 (32:06):
Young dudes a lot.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
New school people have the benefit of talking about new
school talent. They don't have the benefit of talking about
old school talent because they've never seen them. And I
think it's just a different feeling, you know, like the
whole conversation between Lebron and Mike, like you can't and
unless you've seen Mike play like you saw him play,
(32:31):
not oh, I watched him on YouTube where I saw
the nana. If you watched it, like watched seasons of
him going through seasons, then you can make an opinion
about it because you've seen it in context. I think
people be taking stuff out of context. Shaq is one
of the most athletic dudes at his height, in any
(32:54):
height period. He's one of the most athletic dudes I've
ever seen play play a sport, one of the most.
Like people forget about how like they say, oh, he's strong,
he was dominant, he could turn around, he was a
nimble the dude could move. He was nimble. Bro Dude's
athleticism was crazy. And that's sometimes I think people forget
(33:15):
because they don't. They don't. It's been a while since
Shaq played, so now everybody be laughing at Shock because
Shocks almost like a he's almost like a mascot, like
he's a lovable dude, you know, like just like just
like Charles Barkley. People be laughing. I see Barkley, But
that man was a grown ass warrior on the hoop
court when he played, and people don't remember. Come on, man,
(33:38):
come on man, anyway, that's my.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
Eye another ever, ever, you don't think it's possible that
that athletic No.
Speaker 4 (33:48):
Well, y'all, y'all agree on this is going to get
his fourth MVP because I think it's a I think
he's gonna get number forty.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
I don't think.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (33:58):
I think I think when Wimby gets back into the
starting lineup full time, I believe he is on track
to be the league most Valued player this year when
they put back the starting lineup, I really.
Speaker 6 (34:10):
Will's not be crazy that Yo Kic could be a
possible three to four time MVP as we're only one championship.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
But is that more about the league one that's more
about the player? Is it more about the player?
Speaker 4 (34:26):
If Yo Kic retires with only one ring and he
gets four MVPs, five MVPs. That will be an indictment
on the Denver Nuggs organization as a whole, because you
can't let somebody that that generational offensive machine and an
engine like him, like he's averaging a triple double right
now and he's a center double. And and one last thing,
(34:51):
there's rumblins that Anthony Marshawn Davis Junior might be in
the mix with Golden State and the Atlanta Hawks.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
Socky bye.
Speaker 5 (35:00):
What he gotta be a He gotta be able to
run up and down the court to play basketball. The
man can run down the court. But I know I
know somebody that is running up and down the court.
Cuff cuff.
Speaker 3 (35:13):
You want to know who I know is running down
the court.
Speaker 5 (35:16):
Forty two points against the Utah Jazz, thirty three against
the Denver Nuggets, twenty seven against the Golden State Warriors.
And I'm starting to become a believer. We had this
conversation about a month ago about your guy from Duke.
I said he was being played out of position Cooper
Flag with the Dallas Mavericks, and in October he was
(35:39):
averaging thirteen November, he went up to seventeen points a game.
Now he's averaging nineteen points a game. That looks like
to me, this man is getting real comfortable. And if
he knocked down a three ball, he's gonna be really dangerous.
Moving forward, the Light Skin Assassin has co signed it.
The league is in good hand. He's a true hooper
(36:02):
and a competitor. I just think, moving forward, man, when
you start talking about breaking records of Lebron James and
Pistol Pete Merrivich and Oscar Robinson as a rookie, I
believe this man is on a trajectory to be a very,
very very good basketball player.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
And that's your man.
Speaker 4 (36:21):
Cooper Flag all numbers of side plaques. I was watching
the other night and I told my wife, Cooper Flag
just love basketball. If you watch him play, he got
a passion for the game and that's gonna be the
reason why he's gonna be the cornerstone man. And he
from Duke by the way, you know, he's from the Brotherhood,
so it's in him. It's in vain.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
Hey, y'all ever watched that show Swagger? I've been watching
Swagger lately. Y'all ever watch it? Y'all not heard of it,
So now y'all gotta check it out. Man, It's cool, right,
it's from UH. It's a d MV DEP. I almost
felt like it's like Graves. It's about Gravest and UH
and KD.
Speaker 4 (36:58):
To be honest, like, yeah, Kd's behind behind it.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
It feels like it feels like it because I was there.
I was I was there as a Washington player during
that time. Anyway, y'all gotta check it out. It's a
dope little little deal. You check it out. It just
sounded like that. But we're gonna take a quick break.
We're gonna wrap it up with some up on Game

But before we finish up here we go, let's do it.
Speaker 4 (39:17):
TI for some picks.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
Are you up on game? Let's craak this up. Let's
crack it up down on game?
Speaker 2 (39:24):
All right?
Speaker 3 (39:25):
What we got going on?
Speaker 4 (39:26):
Boat?
Speaker 10 (39:27):
Yeah, a couple of weeks ago, real quick, LeVar four
and two, TJ three and three plaques to and four
cuffs to and four h So a good week for LeVar,
uh huh. Not great for everybody else, but redem share talking.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
I don't hear nobody talking.
Speaker 3 (39:40):
A broke clock is right twice.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
Today, That's what they say. You know, man, we're a clock.
Ain't broke.
Speaker 3 (39:46):
Good digital Bigue.
Speaker 10 (39:47):
We're gonna start today with the game of the week
in the NFL. It's the one everyone is talking about,
that's right. The New York Giants take on the Las
Vegas Raiders and the Toilet Bowl home. The Giants Bowl
a two and a half point road favorite. Here he
over under forty one and a half and LaVar will
start with you.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
I'm gonna take the under on the points, and I
do believe the Giants will cover just because.
Speaker 3 (40:14):
The Raiders had packed it in.
Speaker 6 (40:18):
I'm gonna take the Giants. The Raiders are trying to
lose this game. They're trying everything in their power to
lose the game, and they will do just that. So
I'll take the football Giants and I'll go over. Well,
I'm gonna go ahead, cuffs, No, I.
Speaker 4 (40:36):
Would think this game. Think, man, it sounds terrible. I'm
gonna take the Giants and I'm gonna take the under
this game.
Speaker 3 (40:44):
I'm gonna take the Las Vegas Raiders.
Speaker 6 (40:46):
I really do.
Speaker 5 (40:47):
I think Max Crosby replacement. He's gonna play legs out.
He needs some filmings and taking. He's gonna have two
or three sacks and everything that I mentioned earlier about
Max Crossey being trade bait.
Speaker 3 (40:58):
I think Dlosta Kings Raateers win this.
Speaker 5 (41:00):
Football game and the Giants remain with the number one pick,
and I'm taking the over on the points.
Speaker 2 (41:06):
All right.
Speaker 10 (41:06):
Next up, we got some college football playoff action. The
fifth seed Oregon takes on the four seed Texas Tech.
Oregon a two and a half point favorite. Here, the
over under fifty two and a half.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
I'm taking it over and I got the Orking Ducks. Yeah,
I'm all go that one. Well, I'm taking under. I'm
taking under on the points text.
Speaker 5 (41:29):
Then, and I don't believe they're really going to score
a lot of points based off of last week in
the Miami game, and I'm taking.
Speaker 3 (41:35):
Texas Tech, Texas Texas Tech.
Speaker 5 (41:37):
Yeah, I'm taking I'm taking the Oregon Ducks and I'm
going under on the points.
Speaker 4 (41:42):
I'm gonna take the over, gonna be hotcorn man, and
I'm gonna take the Oregon Ducks.
Speaker 3 (41:47):
The win.
Speaker 4 (41:48):
Shut out to my guy Rot Douglas coat over there
with the duck. I'm gonna take the.
Speaker 1 (41:51):
Duck man quick all right.
Speaker 10 (41:54):
Number six on miss takes on number three Georgia. Georgia
a six and a half point favorite, the total fifty
five and a half.
Speaker 2 (42:02):
I'm gonna take the over on that one, and I'm
taking the points. Well, excuse me, the Georgia Bulldogs will cover. God,
I'm sorry.
Speaker 6 (42:11):
Yeah, it's coming to an end. Pro man say lose
their coaching staff. So I'm gonna take the Georgia Bulldogs
and I will also go under.
Speaker 5 (42:19):
Man, I'm going I'm going with the old miss man
even though Lane kippling his low ard, people are sleeping
on my man. Trinidad champions with one of the best
quarterbacks all of the colle football and Lacy running back
best college football running back.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
I'm taking the old miss and over on the points.
Speaker 4 (42:36):
I'm going with Kirby Smart Georgia Bulldog. It's gonna be
a low point of the game, I think, though. I'm
gonna take the under on the points and Georgia to win.
Speaker 2 (42:43):
They all right, that's a one game down again, that's
up on game, down on game. Appreciate your bowl, appreciate
your perfect Hope you guys had a great Christmas as well.
Hope all of you out there had a great Christmas
and are staying safe and getting ready to bring this
new year here. And uh yeah, be safe, be nice
to somebody else other than yourself, and well, enjoy the games,
(43:07):
Enjoy the basketball games, enjoy the football games, all right.
Jonas NOx show coming up next to this is up
on game TJ Cuffs Plex. I'm LeVar Peace
