up and said, you know what, I need to talk

(02:23):
to TJ and cuffs the legend at the same time
about these LA Lakers. So without further ado, when you
hear this, you know that this man is joining the show.
Here we go, or maybe we don't have the imaging.

Speaker 6 (02:41):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Nonetheless, since we don't have the imaging, which is interesting. Uh,
let's just bring cuffs the legend onto the show from
Some Dudes Show? Uh, cuffs, are you there? Do we
have you?

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Man?

Speaker 1 (02:53):
I'm here.

Speaker 7 (02:54):
Man. Look, I don't even need to intro music.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
I don't even need.

Speaker 7 (02:58):
Then, I miss y'all.

Speaker 8 (03:00):
Man, Man, yeah, we don't have you.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
We don't have you queued up like we we generally do.
But nonetheless, you are here and we do have you here.
And by the way, your content has been funny as
hell on your social challenge. Man, Yeah, I can check
him out comes the legend on ig from Some Dudes Show.
Talk to us? I mean you know what, I'm not

(03:25):
gonna say, talk to us. I'm gonna just I'm gonna
turn you over to the guys because I know this
whole Lakers conversation is has become there's so many layers
to us. So I'll let y'all have it. Go ahead. No, no, no, no,
les you let the Laker fans started off.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Okay, number one, number one, we gonna be a problem.
We should Denver last we we the Lakers. We should
have been Denver last night. There's no shoes, no, no, listen,
they shot fifty from the field, Denver did They shot
forty one, basically forty two percent from three and still
shot twenty four more free throws than us. Man, these

(04:03):
NBA refs are hot garbage. I love the NFL reps.
I'm never talking bad about the NFL rep again when
you're watching NBA games. But without Luca and without Lebron,
we've literally had a chance to win the game versus
a never nugget team was at full strength. Man, it's
over for the NBA. Man, here we come, all right,
I'm done, Johy.

Speaker 8 (04:22):
Look the Denver Nuggets, the different Nuggets used to put
fear in LA Lakers the last couple of years. But
as you saw last night, without Luca, without Lebron, without
the main Corey was just Austin Reeves and a bunch
of off duty firefighters last night, you know, but they.

Speaker 7 (04:42):
Hung there.

Speaker 8 (04:43):
They hung tight, They kept it closed. The Denver Nuggets
don't scare a soul anymore. They just don't. It's not
the same team they were when they won a championship.
To be real with you, Plaxico Burds, I know you're
ready to hate nobody in the West. Nobody in the
West wants to see a healthy Lebron and Luca in
the seven game series. We know that we have the

(05:04):
we have the highest basketball IQ of any two stars
in the league. And I feel like, yes, yes, we're
We're I would say we The Lakers are kind of
like lacking in the on the front court because Okaye
had Check hongerm have Isaiah Harnstein, they had the size.

Speaker 7 (05:18):
They have a lot of wings. They got Aaron.

Speaker 8 (05:20):
Wiggins now he's starting to emerge.

Speaker 7 (05:21):
You know, Isaiah Joe shooting the.

Speaker 8 (05:23):
Ball real well, Case and Wallace defending. Okay See is deep.
But they don't have the experience that Luca and Lebron
have in that deep water.

Speaker 7 (05:31):
Plaio.

Speaker 8 (05:32):
You've been in that deep water. You've been to the
big bright light of Super Bowl. The playoff. Playoff basketball
is not the same as regular season NBA basketball.

Speaker 7 (05:41):
So I my card, I will push all my chips to.

Speaker 8 (05:44):
The table if I have a health, if I have
a healthy Lebron James and somewhat in shape Luca doctors,
because Luca's not even in shape yet, tell him.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
In shape.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Just took de Marcus Lawrence shot at us for support.
They're talking about deep waters. We ain't been there. Then
he gonna come back to you and ask you for support.

Speaker 6 (06:13):
Everybody, everybody talks about what the Lakers is.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
If Lebron James is healthy, if Luca Donson is healthy,
if he can get in shape. It's just some things
that have happened with the Lakers over the last month
or so that shouldn't be happened. You shouldn't be losing
to the Brooklyn Nets, that's for one. You want a
four game to the Celtics, the Brooklyn Nets, the Milwaukee Bucks,

(06:38):
and you just lost the Denver.

Speaker 8 (06:40):
Can we talk about the eight game winning street prior
to Lebron getting injured?

Speaker 7 (06:43):
What were we talking about?

Speaker 6 (06:44):
We can talking about an eight game but that's all news.

Speaker 5 (06:47):
I'm talking about the up to date information is what
I'm talking about.

Speaker 6 (06:52):
For the next two weeks.

Speaker 8 (06:55):
Don't don't put any.

Speaker 6 (06:57):
Why not their game?

Speaker 5 (06:59):
You have to go and wet y'all have five home
games in a row, the Lakers coming up. Everybody like
Bron James is not going to be in his line up,
and so I don't want to talk about you didn't
have Lebron James when you got five straight home games
coming up next week, So I don't think they can

(07:22):
afford to lose four or five games in a row
with Lebron James not being there. I think I think
it's gonna drop him down.

Speaker 8 (07:32):
Does not matter, it matters.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
No, it doesn't.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
Oh, it matters if you if you wanted to, Okay,
see in the first round.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Oh it matters.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
No, we're not dropping all the way.

Speaker 7 (07:43):
They're not dropping the eight.

Speaker 6 (07:47):
You say, segment, Yeah, in fifth place. Now, you don't
have Lebron James for two weeks.

Speaker 5 (07:54):
So you trying to tell me that you guys are
gonna get better in the next two weeks with Lebron
James not being available.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
You act like we're just gonna lose every game.

Speaker 6 (08:06):
Everything you lost the last four.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
I don't Laker bias man like you do, not like.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
I just don't like the fact how y'all just are
not going to acknowledge that the old k C is
the best team in basketball and there in.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
The Western the best the best record with long.

Speaker 5 (08:28):
They are the best team in basketball, and y'all are
sitting here saying that if Lebron James is healthy and
Luca Doncon's is healthy, you really believe that they can
beat the Oklahoma City Thunder and a seven game series
in the in the playoffs in the Western con.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
I think Oklahoma City might believe that as well.

Speaker 6 (08:48):
Yeah, man, yeah, yeah, y'all believe everything.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Hey, coups, let me let me ask you this. Let
me ask you. This is serious. This is a serious question. Actually,
what what what do you make of people saying that
this is Jokic's best season he should get MVP kind
of overlooking the season that SGA is having along with
the way Oklahoma City has played, you know, considering what

(09:16):
Plexus just said this entire time, I'm glad.

Speaker 8 (09:19):
I'm glad you asked me this question because I had
it on my list of things I wanted to touch on.
SGA is the MVP and he will win it, and
he should win it because.

Speaker 7 (09:28):
They robbed him last year.

Speaker 8 (09:29):
So I feel like a lot of voters are going
to feel like they robbed. They know, they know they
pretty much get should have gave in to him last year.
So I think SDA is going to get that MVP
this year. But I wouldn't be mad as a basketball
fan because I'm looking at what yok is doing. I
said this on Twitter a couple of days ago. Jokic
stat looked like social Security numbers, but they almost look

(09:49):
like social Security numbers, like they look like lottery numbers.
Like it's crazy, right, So he is having the it's
the best season we've ever seen a center or a
big man ever had since like the Will Chamberlain era. Right,
So it's amazing to see that. But what Sga is doing,
like Taxico said, he got the he got the Oka
City Thunder, ok See Thunder. Sitting at the top of

(10:11):
the West for the second year in a row, and
they have a wide margin. They're like, probably what can
eleven games ahead of everybody in the West. I just
feel like it's his, it's his moment. Jokic already won
three of them, so I don't I don't want to
see him miss out on this because you never know
if he ever will win it again. So I think
it's his award. But I wouldn't be mad if somehow,

(10:32):
some way they did a co MVP, because we haven't
seen that. I'll think the last time we probably had
a co MVP. I know we had co Rookies of
the Year a couple of years back, way back, but
I think that would shock the basketball world if we
saw both of those guys, you know, get co MVP
and split the award. But I mean, I will say
NCA has been more efficient than yok At you be

(10:53):
looking at all the metrics in the stats, he's doing
what he's doing, averaging that many points. He's over thirty
one points a game. I think like he's really fit.
And shit, he played defense as well, and that's my
only small knock on Yokices. He doesn't move to puffins
on defense, he does not want to defend on defense man,
and he doesn't even try on defense. It's some nights
there's no effort and he's just the offensive juggernaut. And

(11:16):
Kevin Durant did say it a couple of nights ago
when they faced them. He said he is going to
average these type of numbers because the ball is in
his hand every play on offense.

Speaker 7 (11:25):
They run their entire.

Speaker 8 (11:26):
Offense through him at the high poles, the free throw line,
the mid post, the low post. If you watch the
Denver Nuggets play, yokis touched. He touches the rock every place,
so he's gonna put up these type of video game numbers.
But I just think right now, man, even a Jannis. Right,
look at the season Yannis is having. But right, nobody
about you know. So I say that to say this

(11:50):
for all the detractors out there that's talking crazy about
the NBA and saying they don't like it, they don't
love it, they don't watch it no more. You're missing
out on the best product in the world because look
at the names of naming and look at it. Look
at the seasons they're having, and we can't.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Okay, y, that's the best product.

Speaker 5 (12:11):
Telling you all this, Jannis is the best basketball player
in the world when he's healthy.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
Yes for the NBA, yes he is, as is that's
cap He's the best player in the world when he's healthy.

Speaker 5 (12:26):
You know, I'm telling you he he's aadly won two
m v ps.

Speaker 8 (12:35):
He hasn't proved. I'm saying his mechanical footwork is his
jump shot a little bit I watched some other night.
He got he got a nice little fadeaway shot. He's
added to his though box. But look at his numbers.
His numbers are better this year than the years he
won n v P already plas.

Speaker 5 (12:49):
Yeah, because he has Dame. But look, speaking of the players,
in the season that they are having. Man, let's talk
about your boy from down there in the Carolina, well
South Carolina, Steph Curry. Are we really not understanding what
he has accomplished and not giving him his real flowers

(13:10):
with him just going out there with four thousand three poigners?

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Cuffs, do you have time? You got some? I don't.
I don't want you to have a short a short
response because we're up on the break. But you got
the question, Steph Curry. You got As a matter of fact,
we'll repose the question on the other side of the break.
That's Cuffs the legend from some dude show. We're gonna
keep him around for another segment. Yeah, uh, We're gonna
talk some more basketball. And you know there was an

(13:36):
athlete track athlete the baton incident as it's becoming known
as uh and maybe we'll see what Cuffs has to
say about that as well. You're listening to up on games.

Speaker 6 (13:47):
T J.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Hushman's out as Plexico Birds. I'm LeVar Arrington. We got
Cuffs the legend with us. We're gonna take a quick
breaking on the other side of break. We're gonna continue
this conversation. I stay locked in, Stay tuned and we'll
be right back. Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
Welcome back in. This is up on game. We're live
from the Tyraq dot com studios. It's TJ. Huschman is
outez Plexico Burds. I'm LeVar Arrington and we have a
special treat Cuffs is staying on for another segment with us.
We're keep chopping it up all right, now, let's get
back to it. Plexico, you had a question regarding Steph Curry.

(14:34):
Go ahead, you can repose it.

Speaker 5 (14:35):
Go ahead, Yeah, Steph Curry man four thousand three pointers
in his career? Man, are we not having an appreciation
for what this.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
Young man is.

Speaker 6 (14:48):
Having to accomplish in his career?

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Man?

Speaker 5 (14:51):
Four thousand and three pointers is something that we thought
we would never see.

Speaker 7 (14:55):
Man, Get y'all quick. Sorry.

Speaker 8 (14:56):
The first time I ever saw Steph Curry play in
person was he was at Davis and it was two
thousand and eight. I actually went to Charlotte that weekend
to see Lebron play with the Cavs. It's back when
he played with the Cavs and they were the Charlotte Bobcatz.
So me and my lady were hanging out in the
city and we and that morning we woke up and
they was like, yo, Davidson playing NC State right at.

Speaker 7 (15:16):
The Spectrum Center.

Speaker 8 (15:17):
So who was like, let's get tickets last minute, And
that was the game Lebron actually went to.

Speaker 7 (15:21):
He was course out watching Curry play.

Speaker 8 (15:22):
That was the first time I've seen like a player
that small, like a small guard, with that type of
like electricity, Like he brought a certain type of vibe
to the arena and the shots he was making then
are the same exact shots he's making now like all
these years later. But if you would have asked me
that day with that scrowny kid that was over overlooked

(15:47):
at high school, he only had like one or two offers.
I think Virginia Tech, his dad, Dale Curry's alma mater,
was one of the only offers he received in high school.
And it was like, if you would have told me
in two thousand and eight that we were fast forward
like sixteen seventeen years later, that he would be a
kid that grows up to be a shooter that makes
four thousand and three pointers and all type of big

(16:10):
time game winning shots. He saw what he did in
the Olympics, like he saved us. We would have came
home with a silver We would have came home with
a silver meddle with the Dream Team if it wasn't
for Steph. So I just I'm just I'm just a
big fan of him. People don't know that about me
because they know I have times with Braun and I've
been a Bronz supporter all these years, and I tried

(16:31):
to explain to people I was a Steph Curry fan
before he got to the NBA, but he ran into
my favorite player. And it's kind of like a magic
Johnson Larry Bird type thing.

Speaker 7 (16:40):
You know, you can't you can't root for.

Speaker 8 (16:42):
The ops, like you're going against my favorite player in
the finals.

Speaker 7 (16:45):
And those guys had great memories in great.

Speaker 8 (16:47):
Finals and great moments and they will always be paired together.
But as far as Steph man like, I feel like
he's such a motivational player and the inspirational player for kids,
because most kids are not going to grow up and
be six nine, say sixteen and up but to he
a kid that's six two six three, is he built
like a regular guy and he can just really like

(17:08):
take over games the way he has all these years.
It's a I take a lot of pride in it
because he is a North Carolina kid and that's my
home state. So, like I tell people, the light skin
shooters run the world. Man, you run the world.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
Oh God, to the dark side.

Speaker 7 (17:24):
You want me to prove it.

Speaker 8 (17:25):
Look, the greatest lights shooters ever, the greatest light skin
shooters are Steph Curry, Clay Look, Clay Thompson, myself, I
gotta put myself unbelievable.

Speaker 7 (17:39):
We're gonna go. We're gonna go. Look, we're gonna go
Dale Ellis.

Speaker 8 (17:42):
We're gonna go Dale Ellis, Frum the Superstonics, and we're
gonna go Team Wolfs.

Speaker 6 (17:46):
Team Wolfie, Regie Miller and Ray Allen too.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Allan's not light skinned.

Speaker 5 (17:54):
Listen, Hey, I said to you guys a couple of
weeks ago, Man, at the rate that stuff is scoring,
this basketball possibility that he may be the all time
league scoring in NBA history.

Speaker 6 (18:08):
And I'm looking at where he is on the list.
I'm looking at where he is on the list.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
Never by the time this basketball season ends, will have jump.
Listen to what I'm telling you. He's twenty he's twenty
six right now. By the time this basketball season ends,
he he ranked where he's ranked at, ranked twenty six,

(18:38):
all right, in the top five.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
He won't even getting the top.

Speaker 5 (18:43):
He's going to jump seven or eight spots by the time.

Speaker 6 (18:46):
This season ends.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
TJ.

Speaker 6 (18:49):
He's one hundred behind Jays.

Speaker 5 (18:52):
He's going to jump to about sixteen or seventeenth place
by the time.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
This season ends.

Speaker 6 (19:00):
Will not be broke all time league scores.

Speaker 8 (19:03):
Yes, he's not happening, all right, we're speaking to.

Speaker 5 (19:07):
Look atways on the list and look at the guys
out in front of him, one hundred.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
Two hundred points away.

Speaker 6 (19:14):
He's going to seven or eight spot jump.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
He's not jumping twenty six spots though, Okay, And what.

Speaker 6 (19:21):
Is he going to do for the next five or
for the next ten years? Ten not score basketball?

Speaker 3 (19:26):
He said ten years?

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Oh my god, y'all like ten more years?

Speaker 3 (19:31):
He not?

Speaker 4 (19:31):
No, he's not, no, he's not playing ten more years.
He'll play hey listen, max five.

Speaker 6 (19:35):
He don't got to play ten years to score hey.

Speaker 5 (19:38):
Listen, he don't have to play ten years, he having
fifty or forty point games.

Speaker 6 (19:42):
Those are gay.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
He not gonna have those moving forward. Hey, what the
head comes you have now? Let me let me let
me put my journalist head on. Let me ask you
this question, Jason Tatum. Jason Tatum seems to me that
he wants to be the face of the nb. He
wants to be the face of the NBA, the NBN.

(20:04):
You know, you gotta win a championship. You got to
be the best player on the team that's winning championships.
Why isn't he considered the face of the NBA, even
being considered to be the face of the NBA, And
why does he seem to get overlooked considering what Boston
has done in the last few years and now this
past season winning the championship.

Speaker 8 (20:24):
I just think it's.

Speaker 7 (20:24):
Because his hair too pretty, DJ like you may his
hair press.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Oh wow, right, Look, when your hairspring, you get haters,
you get a haters.

Speaker 7 (20:31):
He said, You've been dealing with haters, Mabe. We already
know the viobs of.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
His superhero name is pante Man. You do know.

Speaker 8 (20:39):
Look to answer your questions, I'm gonna get a journalist
mode to answer your question. Jason Tatums checked every box.
He's six to eight, he has a career average over
twenty five points a game, Limpic Gold medal, We've seen
him win a championship last year. He just had a
baby by.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
L m A.

Speaker 7 (20:56):
The R and B sensation.

Speaker 8 (20:58):
What else is left for this man had the accomplience
and basketball and he's not even thirty years old yet.
I think a lot of the hate just come from
the Boston the Boston Celtics hate because like a lot
of fans in the NBA around I mean going back
from like guys our dad's age, our uncle's age, the
Celtics have always been a hated franchise. They've done a

(21:19):
great They've done a great job in the last few
years of rebranding, but the certain type of players they
have on their team now, so they have a whole
different like aesthetic. As far as the Boston Celtics, we
know how the Boston Celtics teams used to look in
the eighties. This is a new brand of Celtics basketball.
But I think some of the hate just come from
fans just not liking the Celtics and Tatum is like

(21:40):
I guess they view him as a pretty boy. I
guess I don't know, but on that basketball court, between
those lines, he is adult. Feel like maybe he need
to pull a Chris Child and to snub somebody one
time to get the respect he deserved, because what else
is left for him to do? And I feel like
this year, if the Celtics do repeat and they beat
the OKC Thunder or if they run into the Lakers

(22:03):
or whoever denver, if they repeat and they get past
a Cleveland Cave team who have won sixteen in a row,
We're not talking about them. Cleveland Caves have won sixteen
straight games. If the Celtics can get past that juggernaut
with the Calves and repeat this year, what else is
there left to say about not only Jason Tatum, but
Jalen Brown.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
That duo.

Speaker 8 (22:24):
We got to start mentioning those guys. And it's Scottie
pipp and Michael Jordan duo compensation.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Far Come on, no, if they repeat, if they carried
come on, bro, don't get carried away. And I break
it down, here's the issue, the issue, here's the issue.

Speaker 8 (22:40):
When you hear Michael Jordan and Pippin's name, there's so
much nostalgia attached to it that people act like you
can't compare guys to those guys.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
I'm gonna break it down to you.

Speaker 7 (22:51):
I watch out breaking down to you.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
I want to hear it.

Speaker 7 (22:53):
Come on, Pipping and.

Speaker 8 (22:55):
Jordan's played defense as well. They were two way players.
They were wing defenders. Look at Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum.
People always focus on the offensive side of the ball.
They both everything over twenty four to twenty five game right.

Speaker 7 (23:06):
They both get offense.

Speaker 9 (23:08):
Yeah, and they can play defense. You saw what Jaylen
Brown did to Luca the other night when they played
the Lakers. He strapped Luca up. So what I'm saying
is if they repeat and they have a repeat on
their resume like the bad Boy Pistons had with du
Mars and Isaiah Thomas.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
Do that Do Dumars and Isaiah Thomas don't do Pipping
and Jordan' Why not?

Speaker 8 (23:27):
They're both the same type of player. They're six six
sixty seven guys. They got the same type of body
and build as Michael Jordan and Pipping. I'm just saying,
as far as two way do you.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Would you in your right mind would you say that
Jalen Brown and Jason Tatum are as dominant players individually
pound for pound, Because I say you match match Tatum
up with Jordan, and then you match Jalen Brown up
with Pippin individually, those two are nowhere.

Speaker 8 (23:58):
Near and they can come back and they can shoot
better than Jordan.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
They are nowhere near is dominant players and forces on
the court.

Speaker 8 (24:06):
As they let it play out.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
Comparable.

Speaker 5 (24:10):
We got it.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
I'm gonna say this. I'm not a basketball expert. I
know you the expert. I know you the man. That's
why we bring you on because you you're the man
of the man, like we feel like you the best
out here in the game. But you stepped off of
the lads. You stepped off of the lads on this one.
You stepped off and you fell off the lift. When
you said Tatum and Brown should be compared to Pipping

(24:35):
and Jordan, that's that's out of line. That's out of line.
That's out of pocket.

Speaker 8 (24:39):
I said, if they repeat and look at their ages,
they're not even twenty seven, twenty eight years old. What
did Michael, Jordan and Pippen do at the same age
they had accomplished None of the stuff that they've won
that Tatum and Brown have accomplished already before age twenty eight.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
You knew it was there. You knew it was there.
Come on, now you knew it was there by now,
Jordan Pippin, David. The only year that was bad really
in reality in the history books is the rookie year,
Scottie Pippen. That was it. After that, it went up,
and it just kept going up all the way to six,
like all the way up up, up up, Like I am.

(25:16):
I don't feel that way about Jalen.

Speaker 7 (25:18):
I like them all.

Speaker 8 (25:23):
We got another four to five year window with Jalen
Brown and Tatum doing this. Who's gonna stop them from
getting to the finals now of it?

Speaker 2 (25:32):
Than the apparently y'all say the Lakers are going to
do it. I mean that's what I like. Okay, see
I see, okay see. But apparently, by the way you
and TJ sound y'all talking like Lebron and Luca about
to do it.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
This year they are, they're talking about like they pro
what you mean.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Who gonna do it? Who go? Y'all just sat there
with casting up Lebron and Luca.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
Weird problem Mike Tyson in the late eighties.

Speaker 6 (25:57):
Problem problem. Yeah, it is a problem.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
You're not going to win.

Speaker 5 (26:01):
Hey, come, hey, let me ask you a question, man,
what's going on in the NBA with the OKC sitting
all their starters and the NBA is investing them and
investigating them, and the seventy six with these players missing games,
what's going on with that?

Speaker 7 (26:17):
It's some fishy going on, man.

Speaker 8 (26:19):
And I saw the story about I saw the story
about the Sixers. I think the Sixers just need to
blow everything up, man, because what's happening is they're trying
to tank on the low because you got Cooper Flag
out there. You see what Cooper Flag doing it Duke
this year, So it's like you have a generational talent.
Anytime there's generational talent in the draft, you're gonna see

(26:40):
teams start to do this jankie stuff. They're doing this
Third Loki were trying to tank once Windy got hurt
this year.

Speaker 7 (26:45):
So I just think it's some fishy.

Speaker 8 (26:47):
But you never know, man, because now you got you
got NBA teams, and you got players, and you got
the sports bad angle down, so you just never know
when it comes to this.

Speaker 7 (26:56):
But I don't know, it'll be remain to be seen.
I just don't. I don't what's gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
Let's get an update real quick, and let's keep the
conversation going on. Give us an update, man, what's the
guy going on?

Speaker 1 (27:09):
Actually, we we do.

Speaker 10 (27:10):
We do have some fresh insight into what you guys
were just talking about, because within the last few moments,
Michael Jordan himself has just issued a statement reacting to
Cuffs the Legend, claiming that if Jason Tatum and Jalen
Brown went at their championship, they're on their way to

(27:31):
being on par with them and Scottie Pippen. Let's listen
to what Michael Jordan's just released.

Speaker 6 (27:39):
Oh so that's how you're gonna play it.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
You're gonna do this? Okay, fine, that's all I needed.
That's all I needed.

Speaker 5 (27:45):
For him to do that, and then he became a
person with.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
That's so good. That's so good. Oh my god, cuffs.

Speaker 10 (28:01):
In a related story, cuffs you in trouble anyway? In
the NFL, nine time Pro Bowl fullback Kyle Yugheschek re
signing with the San Francisco forty nine ers for two
years and eight million dollars. The forty nine ers had
released uescheck this past Tuesday after eight seasons the Los
Angeles Chargers signed former Philadelphia Eagles guard Mackai Beckton to

(28:24):
a two year, twenty million dollar deal. The Washington Commanders
resigning defensive end Cleveland Ferrel to a one year contract.
In college basketball, multiple outlets support that Villanova has fired
head coach Kyle Neptune after three seasons. In the America
East Conference Tournament championship game today, the Bryant Bulldogs have

(28:44):
just defeated Maine seventy seven to fifty nine to qualify
for the NCAA Tournament. According to Cuffs, the legend Bryant
is just about on par with John Wooden's great UCLA dynasty. Anyway,
the SEC Tournament semi final light Tennessee Leeds Auburn twenty
six to twenty three, six and a half, but it's

(29:04):
left for the first half. And in the Big Tenant
Tournament sebi final right now, Michigan State of twenty eight
twenty five over Wisconsin six point thirty five left in
the first half. And in the MIAC Tournament championship game,
Norfolk State in South Carolina State tied at seventeen eight
minutes to go in the first half. Guys, back to you.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
Enjoy your day. I low, that was brilliant. Oh I
already have enjoyed my day. Thank you well played, sir,
well play all right before we let you go, cuffs.
Let's let's throw this one out there at all of y'all. Okay,
y'all know about the baton incident that took place.

Speaker 7 (29:43):
Now is it?

Speaker 2 (29:44):
Is it on purpose to be or not on purpose
to be? That is a question. There was an actual
rally hell in this young lady who busted this other
young lady upside to hit with the baton. Here's what
she had to say at the at the rally of
support for her to take a listen.

Speaker 10 (30:03):
Thank y'all for supporting, because nobody else wanted to hear
my story except for people that know me and people
that know I would never do anything like that.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
I will never harm anybody.

Speaker 6 (30:14):
I'm not a fighter.

Speaker 5 (30:15):
I'm not even in conversational I wouldn't even do that
home perfectly, and I thank y'all for believing in me,
and I love y'all.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
Man, if the baton made the hit, you cannot acquit.
That's all I'm gonna say. I did not see an accidental,
you know, contact of the baton to that young lady's head.
It looked like she got walked down. The girl got
walked down by the other girl that got hit upside
the head. She was too close. She played her close,

(30:46):
like like the old school rap song, you know you're
playing me, don't push me to the legs because you
know you're playing me too close, and she busts her
upside the head. I don't think you accidentally fracture a
girl's skull and hit a girl upside to head like
that girl was hit upside to head by accident. I
just don't see that. I ran track, I ran with

(31:07):
a baton in my hand before. I just don't see
that happening. What's y'all's take on it? Is there any
should there be any type of consideration that this actually
could have been an accidental I hit you upside the
head with this baton.

Speaker 8 (31:23):
All all I want to say is I just want
to say mental illness is real in America.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
That's not a lot. I ain't gonna laugh at that.

Speaker 8 (31:32):
That's because what I'm saying is for that girl to
do that, and not only it's not even about her
just lying about it and just gaslighting the other girl
and everybody gaslighting us as people who saw the both
videos from both angles, but the fact that she actually
had a like a ceremony, a rally, like crying and

(31:55):
getting behind her. It's like, we it's a scary time
in America because you just saw an incident where somebody
blatantly just joined somebody in the head because they were
losing the race and they tried to cheat and get
a competitive advantage, and they went on a rally to say, yo,
I'm a victim now my feelings and my mental health.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
Yeah, what about mental health?

Speaker 7 (32:16):
It's crazy man.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
Yeah, I mean, yeah, yeah, you know what we're up
against it on the break. But I think you summed
it up very very well. Cuffs. I'm gonna say this
fellas just super quick, yeah, that you hit her upside
the head because you got walked down. We've seen people
get walked down for a long time. The history is

(32:40):
real and we all know when you at one of
them type of track meets and you get walked down
in one of those type of events and you start
hearing people go and it just bruh. It will take
you down a dark place when somebody is walking you

(33:02):
down in front of the crowd. That's all I can say.
Y'all who have have been walked down. I've been walked down.
It was lane rage and one was lame rage. Live
with it, like, deal with it. Your school gonna get
have to pay some cash, maybe your parents they're gonna
have to pay some cash. You're gonna have to do

(33:23):
some community service. Just deal with it. You did it.
A part of what happens in our society and our
culture is so many times we do not place the
accountability level on these young people like that. It needs
to be and you did it. You did it. Stop
acting like you didn't do it. You did it, and
live with that.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
Deal with.

Speaker 2 (33:51):
Make it so long. Obviously the song the intro we
got maybe you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
We ain't had with standing outroing.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
With saying there, let's get a little clap for cuffs
the legend coming on the show. Maybe we could, Maybe
we won't, Maybe won't. Maybe Chris is there, Maybe it isn't.
I don't know that. Ah, yes, Cuffs, We appreciate you man.
Hopefully we'll get you back on soon. Yeah. This is

(34:20):
t J. Hushman's Eyes Plexico Burst. I'm LeVar Arrington. This
is up on game. We're gonna take a quick break.
We're gonna wrap up the show. All right. It's been
a pretty energetic show, some good topics, but we're gonna
come back and we're gonna finish it up.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
All right.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
This is Fox Sports Radio. We'll be right back, all right. Hey,
make sure you uh you stream us. You know we're
we're available. It's Fox Sports Radio. Our shows are twenty

(34:53):

And you know, one of the newest features in the

one of your presets, just like the preset on your

(35:16):

check that out. We are in the tiraq dot com studios.
We're wrapping it up. Jonas Knox will be coming on
immediately following our show. Uh, make sure you stay dialed
in to check him out. He always comes with some
pretty cool topics and some interesting entertaining content, so make

(35:40):
sure you stay tuned in for that. Yes, I did
give him a compliment for once. I know it doesn't
happen often, but and it shouldn't. But you know what,
the chuck e cheese man, he will shake it after
we finish up here on this radio show, Fellas, before
we get up out of here, Aaron Rodgers still remains
a free agent. What do y'all think is the best

(36:02):
move for every rod looking at where everything is now?

Speaker 4 (36:07):
Yeah, for me, if I'm Aaron Rodgers, I'm trying to
get the two teams. The Minnesota Vikings will be number one.
I don't know if that's realistic. The New York Giants
would be number two. The Steelers would be Oh, okay,
this is my last option. I'm going to the Steelers.
I like the Giants defensively, that team that they have

(36:29):
young players that can really play offensively. You have Brian
Dable calling the play so I believe is a hell
of a head coach and a play caller. You got
a young receiver stud and Elie Neighbors that can get
it done in great left tackle and Andrew Thomas and
so the Giants to me, to me, looks like the

(36:50):
most realistic option. But if I can get to the
Vikings with what they got and the guys that they have. Man,
if I'm Aaron Rodgers, I'm walking, you know, Aaron Rodgers
right now, they want to celebrity seven on seven flag
tournament today, fundraise, They're gonna raise a ton of money.
That's where they at right now out in oh Man

(37:10):
sat All Back College. That's where they at right now
as we speak, and they playing the tournament right now. Man,
I'd walk from there to Minnesota. They take me oh Man.

Speaker 5 (37:18):
Absolutely, I mean I think we can all agree that.
You know, the Minnesota Vikings were not retaining Sam Donald.
I surprised everybody, but he's not going to be the
same exact quarterback that he was in minnesot So the
just based off of the weapons that he had. But
I'm looking at Aaron Rodgers. You saying that the Giants

(37:39):
is a realistic destination. I don't think so, because I
don't think that adding Aaron Rodgers to this offense makes
them a better team. I mean, I don't think they
get better offensively. People forget that Aaron Rodgers is forty
plus years old. He's not the An Rodgers that he
was seven eight years ago. And I think people have

(38:01):
to get that through their head. If I'm Ann Rodgers,
just like you said, the best opportunity for me to
go into an NFL team at this point in the
career and win games and actually contend to win the
division and get into the playoffs. I believe that it's
really only one destination, and that's the Minnesota Vikings. Why

(38:23):
would you come Why would you come back to New
York to an offense that basically has Malik Nabors at
this point. Defensively, they're pretty good with the stillers of
adding dk Metcalp to that offense, I think you get
more explosive, but you know, you just look at where

(38:45):
he is in his career. I just don't see him
come into the Giants and making them a contender in
the division. They're still going to be probably lasting the division.
Going to Pittsburgh, I don't really think that's going to
change anything for them. As far as where the Baltimore
Ravens and where the Cincinnati Bengals are now, they're still
going to be one and two, and you just got

(39:06):
to look at your other options, and I think the
only realistic option for Ann Rodgers right now is to
go up there and throw the football to Jordan Addison
and Justin Jefferson and Kevin O'Connell. I think that's his
best option for him moving forward, but he just has
to make a decision sometimes Sometimes.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
I don't know that Kevin O'Connell is a strong enough
personality to deal with.

Speaker 5 (39:31):
Yes he is, Yes, I don't know. I believe he
is highly respected man, trust me, I'll deal.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
With I'll defer to you. But I just think if
you're looking at it from a protection standpoint, and sometimes
protecting a guy from himself Mike Tomlins the guy, I think,
and you.

Speaker 6 (39:48):
Just what you mean, protecting them from himself, well.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
Because of the all of the media that goes around him,
all the stuff that's connected to him extra curricularly. I
think the only there's only a handful of co that
would be able to stand up to what Aaron Rodt,
just like what we were talking about with your door Sanders.
By the way, make sure you check out the podcast.
But I just don't think that there's very many coaches
that have enough strength to be able to and I

(40:14):
say strength, but it's more so their influence inside the team.
I just don't think that it's enough to handle what
comes with Aaron Rodgers. So to me, I think Mike
Tomlin is that type of guy. So but with that
being said, we got to get up out of here, y'all.
That's a cliffhanger because that's a conversation that will continue
on Jon This NOx is up next up on game

(40:35):
Fox Sports Radio. Will check you out.
