Now it's time to check in with Cuffs, the legend
from some dude show podcast on up on Game Presents.
Cuffs is giving you a spicy takes on what's going down.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
To take the heat like Lebron.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
And now here's Cuffs. The legend It's cold time.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Legend All right. How you feeling brow? What's the good word?

Speaker 4 (02:26):
I mean, you've been real spicy on your social takes
this week. First, how you're feeling and where do you
want to begin?

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Well, I'm feeling good. I'm sitting by the pool right now.
It's about seventy five degrees, so I'm feeling real good.
I'm getting Look, I'm getting ready for this market man
this tonight, my Duke Blue Devil Cooper Flag. We're about
to go to the final four, so it don't really
matter when we play in the final four. We're gonna
win it all.

Speaker 6 (02:53):
Yeah with you now, I'm right, I'll be at the
game tonight. I'll be at the game tonight. You're going, Yeah,
the Games of NewYork.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Okay, nice?

Speaker 6 (03:03):
Okay? Dude versus Alabama?

Speaker 4 (03:05):
So, person, you're a big Duke fan, how has your
did you fill out a bracket?

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Cuffs?

Speaker 4 (03:12):
And if so, how has your bracket? Since you're such
an insider and such an expert on what's going on
in basketball, I know you only care about Duke, and
that's probably the only team that you really cared about
is going from from point A to point you know,
into the alphabet whatever. But how how is your bracket
if you did one.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Well, my bracket is looking beautiful right now because going
into this tournament, I didn't really foresee a lot of upsets.
Like I know a lot of people love their never
aby upsets all the time, but I feel like this
this tournament was gonna be pretty much chalk, you know.
And it's looking like that because I had Auburn in
the final four. I had Houston Michigan. I mean, I'm sorry.
I had Auburn Houston, and I got Tennessee going. I

(03:55):
got the Alburn Houston duke. Who I'm who I'm missing?
I'm missing one thing.

Speaker 6 (03:59):
Florida, Florida, Florida.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
The Gators had the Gators. That's the only team that
really words me, ain't gonna lie. That's the only team
that garried me. The Gators. Man, they're loaded, The Gators
are loaded.

Speaker 6 (04:11):
Oh yeah, I picked. I put the Florida Gators one
and all.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
They wanted to lose to Maryland. You do know that, Yeah,
they did.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
They were trying. They were trying everything they could to
lose the game.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
First half with autumn turnovers. They really did want to
lose that game to Maryland. They have been a strong
second half team in the tournament though, and I guess
all year they've been a pretty strong second half team,
but they didn't want Maryland to go home.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
I'm gonna tell you the team that I'm really rooted
for outside of my blue levels. I'm a big Kelvin
Sampson guy, like I know his son pretty well. Like
Kelvin Sampson has done a masterful job at building that
Houston Cooper coat cuffs.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
Was that not a crazy inbound play? Bro?

Speaker 3 (04:50):
I was just about to say that, man his finest Yeah,
because if you if you see the scouting report. He
had been seeing the scouting report, how Purdue they always
help off the inbounder, they leave the endbounder. They just
leave the enbounder, right. They don't really guard the inboundery
at all. So they knew that in this scout report.
And it's crazy how those little things, those meticulous details

(05:11):
matter in winning and losing and advancing to the Ellieaight
or the Final Four. But Houston, Couper's man, they're a
real solid defensive team. They can't really score as well
as some of the other teams, like Alabama. These team
has left, But I like that Houston Couger's team to
get to the Final four. That match up against Tennessee's
gonna be a blood as because those are two very

(05:32):
physical teams. Like you could tell that Tennessee that team
lives in the weight room if you look at their team,
like they look like a football team on the basketball court.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
How does that make y'all feel?

Speaker 4 (05:42):
But how does that just before we move on from
that game, how does that make y'all feel like this
for all of y'all, how does that make y'all feel
about Cali perry Man? Like that's like they do lose
a sixteen point lead like that.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
Coach Coach Cal, he blew that game. They Arkansas should
have beat Texas Tech. Should it beat Texas Tech?

Speaker 6 (06:04):
Yeah, I've sat there and I watched the whole game.
And you know, coach Cal hasn't been able to get
out of the first round for the past few years.
With Kentucky Man and knowing D one and and DJ
and helped them. Being Jersey kids, they deserve to win
that that basketball game. They got to a point in

(06:26):
the game, I believe they were up nine, seven or
eight points with three four minutes on the clock. You
got to be able to close that game out. It
just seems like Arkansas went to playing street basketball and
Texas Tech. They stayed solid, getting the ball down to
up and getting the ball in the paint and just
making those clutch plays down the stretch that Arkansas wasn't

(06:51):
able to make, man, And it hurt me to see
Cal lose that game man in that fashion, because he
needed to win that basketball game and they and they
just they let it go.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
We we look, we all we all know they coach Caliperry.
He's not really a tactician x and no coach. He's
never been known for that. He's I call him a
US car five man. He's a great US like he
can get players. He can he has a gift, a
gap he can. He can get in those living rooms
and get those players. And I think he's gonna do
a good job with Arkansas and in that so for years,

(07:23):
because that's like a that's like a sleeping that's like
a sleeping giant down there that like, their football program
has always been kind of decent, but the basketball program
they haven't had success since like the Corles Williamson, Scottie Thurman,
you know, back when Bill Clinton was the president so
he has a chance to rebuild that situation down there
and bield Arkansas. But I'm just looking forward to this,

(07:45):
uh to this Allite eight matchup. Man, I think we're
gonna get a pretty much. I think it's gonna be
all one season to final four. Plas. I know you're
Michigan State Spartans.

Speaker 6 (07:56):
I get it. I understand. I understand we're going to
Ben's a real good All Brown basketball team. I've been
telling y'all this kid to hort Pedif, who had All
in high school. Man, he's quick, fast, He's a one
on one basketball player. He can get to anywhere on
the basketball court. And him and Jace Richardson are going

(08:18):
to match up as being true freshman in the Elite
eight basketball game. And I think that these two young
men are the most pivotal guys on the basketball court
for each basketball team.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Who does Peterford remind you of play for All Bro?
I said, Nick Van, you know, I give.

Speaker 6 (08:38):
You a little Kenny Anderson, Man, I give you a
little he got he got a hesitation. Man, This young man, man,
he can get off the ground like you wouldn't believe
for a guy his size at six to one, man
he got some bounce, he got a handle, and he
can he can flat out shoot the basketball.

Speaker 5 (08:56):
Hey, comes, let me, let me, let me go to
the NBA.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Dress.

Speaker 5 (09:02):
I'm gonna let you. No, I'm gonna let you address that.
I want to address this. Kawhi Leonard bro is playing
pretty good basketball lately. Man, will the are the Clippers
of threat? Because I'm watching the Clippers and I'm like, man,
Kawhi is starting to look good again?

Speaker 3 (09:21):
Why is starting to look good again?

Speaker 1 (09:23):
But y'all the time, you know.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
How you say you know how you stay laid up,
you know how you stay up late at night and
you see the Peter pop off miracle spring water ass
like like the magatuurch passes like later that miracle water. Yeah.
The reason I say that is because it's all a scam, right,
And Kawhi Leonard has done this to us the last

(09:47):
couple of years where he gives us like two or
three performances in a row, or maybe four or five
like these last couple of games. He's look like vis
is Kawhi Leonards. But at some point the check engine
light is gonna come on those.

Speaker 7 (10:00):
No and you don't know, oh no, Ranger is like
come on, Ben, do that best to Benzon's doing all

(10:20):
the time.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
To you man, let me be real, Let me be real.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
The Clippers they don't scare me because they always lie.
They always lie in the playoff at some certain point.
And James Harden he has looked better than he has
looked in the last two to three years as far
as being in shape, like he looked like he was
walked the last couple of years. And Kawhi Leonard is
starting to surge now. Norm Power is always gonna be consistent.

(10:46):
The guy that I like for the Clippers is Zuba.
I feel like Magic Johnson. He will always have that trade.
I'll never forget it like you traded you traded away
a young promison center of seven foot for Mike new Scholar.
I'm never I'm never gonna let made john can get over,
live live off, Get over with that one. But can

(11:09):
we talk about the Detroit Pistons real?

Speaker 4 (11:11):
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Here's what I want to do, because I know what
y'all about to do. Y'all about to keep going. Let's
take a break and then we're gonna take the next segment.
And y'all got a whole bunch of time because I
can tell I know Plexus Bike, not the bit. I
know that that that cuffs and you want to go
to the pistons. I think I got an idea what
you're about to say. But hey, let's take a break.

(11:34):
And y'all heard it, like there's your teases right there,
So we're gonna take a quick break. This is up
on Game. That is Cuffs, the legend from some dude show.
Also we got Plexico Burst they call him Stretch Armstrong
and TJ. Hushman's Audi y'all know what they call him.
That's right, the man with the best hair in the business.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
I love what you got my guys.

Speaker 8 (12:46):
All right, LeVar, we do have some NFL news on
this Saturday morning. Buffalo Mills cornerback Christian Benford has agreed
to a four year, seventy six million dollar contract extension
to remain in Buffalo. Meanwhile, tonight, the Elite eight tips
off at six zho nine Eastern, one seed Florida against
three seed Texas Tech. That'll be followed at eight forty

(13:07):
nine Eastern with one seed Duke going up against two
seed Alabama. Right now, in the Sweet sixteen in the
Women's NCAA Tournament, two seed TCU leading three seed Notre
Names sixteen to eleven with two and a half minutes
left to play in the first quarter. One Major League
baseball game going on right now, the New York Yankees
with three runs in the bottom half of the first inning,

(13:31):
they leave the Milwaukee Brewers three to nothing, one of
those runs coming on a home run by Aaron Judge
of the Yankees. So for Judge that is already let's see,
it's just his first home run of the season. He
had an RBI of course on opening Day. So that's
what is trending right now.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
Back to you, guys, appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (13:51):
I lo, we do have cuffs the legends still in
the house from some Duke show.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
Make sure you check them out on IG.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
Dude is a beast in the industry, a big time
up and coming talent.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
We always said guys can be replaced in this in
this media game, and well we were talking about Stephen A.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
Smith.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
A lot of comparencies down the lane of one legend.
I'm just saying, you know what, I gotta be honest.
I feel like we're the first ones that really brought
him on and made sure that people knew who cuts
the legend was.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Y'all gonna find out, y'all.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
They just make make sure when you get Derek Man
you on big time let's player.

Speaker 6 (14:29):
Man, you know what I can do something else?

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Man, They switch up, will switch up on you.

Speaker 9 (14:35):
Man.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
I meant tell you let.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
Me tell you something. I'm never I'm never. I'm never
gonna switch up.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Y'all know that, man, We're gonna switch up right, y'all know,
y'all know when a light skined cat say something like that.

Speaker 6 (14:52):
That was this game over laying by the pool, trying
to get some sun on the feat.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
All right, now, you was about to go Detroit. Where
are you going? Kuffs? Where are we at?

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Well? My thing with Detroit Pistons. We got to give
a shout out to Mike Duke brother Trajan Langdon because
he is the mastermind behind the resurgence of the Pistons,
because like he's the president of basketball operations over there.
And Tradan has done a great job building this team
through the draft, Like if you look at Jalen Durren,

(15:28):
Seward Thompson, even Marcus Sasser, Isaiah Stewart. They drafted these
young pieces and now they integrated them with some of
the Tree agent signers like Ken Hardaway Junior. We got
Malik Beasley. Even though Malik Beefey could not hit the
side of the barn when he was the LA Laker,
he is now least he is now leading the NBA
in three point percentage on catching shoot three. So you

(15:50):
got Dennis Shrewder. Now you got you got proven veterans
around these young players. And on top of all that,
you have the next Grant Heel. In my opinion, in
Kate Connaham, you really.

Speaker 6 (16:00):
Whoa wow too far dog, You're a little too far.
He's a different Hammers nice but he ain't no Grand Hill. Now,
I mean, come on, now, we've got to keep we
gotta keep it g on the show.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
We're gonna give you. He's gonna give you twenty five
to twenty six to night. He's gonna give you seven
to eight or six tonight. He's gonna give you seven
rebounds tonight. Look at the number.

Speaker 6 (16:22):
Because your comparisons have been out of pocket.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
Yeah, I.

Speaker 5 (16:29):
Can't get over. I can't get over to Jordan, you can't.

Speaker 6 (16:33):
We're talking about Cake cunning Ham and Grant Hill. I
was in college watching Rent Hill and James stack House
play together. I like k Cunningham's basketball game, but right now,
I think it's a little premature that seats to say
that he is on a Grant Hill levels as far

(16:54):
as playing basketball.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
He can do it all, he can do it assist.
The only difference I would say, is Grant Hill had
like elite Michael Jordan level athleticism.

Speaker 6 (17:08):
Okay, you didn't answer my question.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
That's the only thing though, But we're talking about the
skill set. The skill sets, I would say you can
as you see with the Pistons team, they're the fifth
sheet in the East. Now, the Detroit Pistons were one
of those teams for the last decade or so where
nobody was watching their games on a nightly basis. They've
turned their franchise around with Kay Cunningham to the point

(17:32):
where I actually watched the Detroit Pistons, Like last night
they played the Caves. They beat the Calves, who everybody
feels like it's a top two favorite in the East, right, Okay,
Like they beat the Cave with the beat them without
k Cunningham. So that shows you how deep their team is.

Speaker 6 (17:48):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
So I would say, if you're the Indiana Pacers right now,
if you're the New York Knicks right now, you don't
want to see the Detroit Pistons in the first round,
you might want to duck that thing.

Speaker 6 (17:57):
Let's start there. I've been saying this to y'all, you know,
for the fast few weeks about the Cleveland Cavaliers. They
lose to deput Detroit Pistons last night. No k Cunningham,
no Tobias Harris. I've been telling y'all that the Cleveland
Cavaliers foods, foods gold right now, their foods goal going

(18:21):
into the playoffs. I've been telling you that. But now
let's unpack all of that from the Eastern Conference and
go to the Western Conference. Hey, your LA Flakers are
playing for their lives right now. They do not want
to fall to that six, seven or eighth spot because

(18:41):
they were running too one maybe the Oklahoma City Thunder
to the Houston Rockets or the Denver Nuggets, and they
do not want to put themselves in a position to
exit in the first round. The two games ahead of
I believe Minnesota and the Golden State Warriors, they want
to tried to stay and at four five, see because

(19:03):
fourth place five, they do not want to get in
that six, seven or eight spot. And it looks from
last night. We had this conversation earlier that maybe Lebron
James is distracted with everything that's going on between him
and Steven A. Smith, But they got lucky the other night.
I don't know what Jars Walker was thinking when he

(19:25):
let Lebron James just casually walk in front of him
and tip the game went up shot in the Indiana
but you lose to what the Bulls, and then just
last night or two days before, you lose to the
Atlanta Hawks.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
Let's keep his spikey flax. I spoke to Lebron James
personally yesterday on Tech. He is not distracted by Steven
Ah Smith whatsoever. He's having fun with this, just like
we were joking on the internet. He's having fun with you.

Speaker 5 (19:52):
It don't sound like fun to us.

Speaker 4 (19:56):
That's a bad look if he just having fun with
stephen A in this manner. You you know that, right,
you got this man time about he's gonna punch him.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
In his face. But ball, yeah, go ahead, go ahead,
Cuff's got play.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
I just don't I just I just don't think you
can look at me with a straight face and say
that Luca Johnson and Lebron James are scared of the
Houston Rockets or the Denver Nuggets or the Memphis Grizzlies.
They just fired their coach Taylor Jenkins.

Speaker 5 (20:21):
For Oh my god, that's what we needed. I'm glad
we played him today, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (20:27):
They're saying something. They're saying some some rumblins going on
where John Morant wasn't happy with the offense. But in
the media they're gonna say like it had nothing to
do with the players. None of the players input that decision.
But we know what really went down with Taylor Jenkins.
But the Lakers are not scared of the Grizzlies. They're not.
They're not scared of the La Tonail Clippers. They're not
scared of the Golden State Warriors, so cherber Wolves, none

(20:48):
of these guys.

Speaker 6 (20:49):
I'm not saying that they don't want to get to
the sixth, seventh, eighth spot. They're not supposed to be
scared of the Golden State Wars because that two or
three games ahead of them right now.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
Golden State's been better though since they got Butler, they
have been better.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
They have been better. They have been better. Case he
gives them like a utility guy doesn't. He doesn't have
to score to be effective, just like Draymond, Like it's
night for Jimmy, Like last night Jimmy had eighteen and
ten I think, and but the next game he can
give you eight points and still impact the game. In
different ways. So I love the addition to Jimmy Butler,
but he still don't scare me because they don't have

(21:21):
any interior size. The Words don't have any front.

Speaker 6 (21:24):
Line, and the Lakers don't have any interior size.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
Also, they got Lebron James. Man, come on, man, oh god,
you got Luca Donalds.

Speaker 6 (21:32):
That ain't interior size. Cuff. Oh gosh, you're talking about
two big guards, one in shape, one out of shape.

Speaker 5 (21:41):
Hey, why why do people say Luca out of shape
and this dude playing almost forty minutes a game. Ain't
nobody out of shape playing forty minutes a game.

Speaker 6 (21:49):
Oh well, when you only play on one side of
the basketball court, you can rest on the other.

Speaker 5 (21:54):
I mean I can go out there and do that.

Speaker 6 (21:56):
I can chalk up and down the basketball court and
just say staying on defense. Because every time I look up,
Luca Dauntons is getting blown by on the baseline for
a layup.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
Yo. That is that is a wild stat to have.
Where you leed the NBA and blow byes. I don't
know if y'all.

Speaker 6 (22:14):
Yeah, I'm sitting there watching the basketball game. This dude
we call the cups. He cannot move the puppies on
the baseline. They give him a ball fake and a
jab and they gonna write by him every single time.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
Dan, but Pack but Plack too. You and I know,
we both know that at the end of the day, man,
nobody's really stopping nobody. When it comes down to the
NBA playoffs, you have to out.

Speaker 6 (22:36):
Oh my goodness, you got speaking of Witch, Speaking of Witch,
who scored one hundred and sixty two points last night.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
There was the Pacers like the night before, I think, one.

Speaker 6 (22:48):
Hundred and sixty two points. Nobody stopping anybody.

Speaker 9 (22:51):
You were exactly right, And look and the Wizards had
like a hundred themselves. When have you ever in the
top classico we have you ever seen a time in
basketball where you score over one hundred point and you
lose by like sixty.

Speaker 6 (23:06):
That's crazy.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Nobody's playing defense in modern day NBA. So it's gonna
come down to the war of attritions. As long as
Lebron is healthy going into the playoffs, I think the
Lakers would be fine. They'll get to the conference finals
just because they have they have the star power they have.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
I haven't y'all why haven't y'all mentioned Oklahoma yet? Though
I have not heard any.

Speaker 6 (23:28):
And TJ are in denial about their favorite basketball team.
I just don't understand that we said that the Los
Angeles Lakers are scared of the Memphis Grizzlies. They're not
scared of the Golden State Warriors. They're not scared of
the Houston Rockets. But they are afraid of okay see,
and they are afraid of the Denver Nuggets if they
run to them in the first round. That's who they're

(23:50):
afraid of. That's not that's why they want to stay
in the four spot.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
I think the situation where the thunder is they're a
very young team and it just had we just haven't
seen them proved themselves yet.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
That's like, that's like the Celtics.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
You know, We've been saying that about the Celtics and
what they got going on, and they kept switching up
there there, you know, get rid of smart and all
this other stuff. And Drew Holliday definitely, you know, was valuable.
But I think, okay see, this isn't the year. I
feel like, this isn't the year we could use their
young I feel like this is that year where you

(24:25):
got to say, you know what they got to take
a definitive step forward this year.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
It has to be this year though, because last year
they were the first seed. They ran up against Luca
Donaldson the Dallas Mavericks and they got exposed. So until
they proved that they can beat a real team in
the playoffs and in the semi finals with the conference finals,
they still gonna be fools though, like.

Speaker 6 (24:48):
Dang yeah, Minnesota's playing well as of late. They are
uh the Liquors only two games ahead of Minnesota and
and early tuh kawhile it is playing better. So you
just can't count out Minnesota and the Clippers.

Speaker 5 (25:05):
Clippers, the Clippers will always.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
Always they are the fullest of the fool's gold. They
are the they are the e s T fools Gold.

Speaker 6 (25:20):
Yes, the unusual.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
Fellow plastic plastico. I'm gonna say this on the air
so we can have this own record from you in
the future. We might play this back. Don't sleep on
Kevin Durant going through the Boston Celtics in the off season.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 6 (25:38):
That's a lot to unpack right now.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
Por Zingen drew holiday. They might be relocating the Phoenix
this summer.

Speaker 5 (25:48):
I don't like Wow, Yeah, because you know, Boston needs
to get under that apron, that luxury tax, so they
it takes.

Speaker 6 (25:55):
Away from Jason Tatum and and and his his star
power and him becoming the next great player you know,
of our era, and I want to see him elevate
to that status to one day real soon we'll be
saying that Jason Tatum is the best basketball player in

(26:16):
the world. Adding Kevin Durant to that team and that roster,
I think it takes that away from Jason Tatum because
we all know that Kevin Durant is arguably one of
the top three scores in NBA history, and it won't
allow Jason Contatum to continue continue to grow as to

(26:39):
become the great player that I and we think he
can become.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
So I don't like that move.

Speaker 6 (26:47):
I believe that it makes the Boston Celtics a better
basketball team, no doubt, but adding Jason, but adding Kevin Durant,
it takes the ball out of Jason Tatum's hand a lot,
and I just don't think it's a good mess between him,
Jalen Brown and Jason Tatum.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
How about Houston you liked and the Rockets, I don't.

Speaker 6 (27:11):
Like that either. I don't I believe that matt Ishbiel
and the Phoenix Sons they're gonna have to shake up
this this uh this roster.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
I believe that.

Speaker 6 (27:23):
I don't believe that Kevin Durant has to leave Phoenix
to win. They just have to add some pieces. For one,
I don't think they should have got rid of Michal Bridges.
I don't think they should have got really Jean Jayden.
I think I think they had the whole nucleus uh
of contending to win the World Championship with those guys,

(27:45):
and they unloaded camp uh cam uh.

Speaker 5 (27:48):
For man, they wasn't They weren't winning, no way, Man,
they weren't winning.

Speaker 6 (27:53):
Kevin Durant to that mix with those guys, now you
got a World Championship contended basketball team.

Speaker 3 (27:59):
I want to know what's going on with Devin Booker
like my life and brother in Christ, like I want
to know what's going on with Devid Booker right now
because he is cooking my parlay's the last four nights.
Like Devin Booker. We just need twenty points from Devin
Booker right now. That's all we're asking. As as for
Fayans right now, what's.

Speaker 6 (28:16):
Going on with the book right now, Man, I have
no idea. Man, I don't know if it's the Phoenix
Sons not having a lot of success as everybody thought
they would be coming to this season with Kevin Durant, uh,
you know, playing in this second season with the third
season with the Phoenix Sons. I just don't know why

(28:37):
the Phoenix Sons are not at the top of the
Western Conference.

Speaker 5 (28:40):
With all the talent they have.

Speaker 6 (28:43):
Obviously Adley Bill hasn't been what anybody thought he would be. Uh,
you know, he's absent.

Speaker 5 (28:49):
Man, The Sons is cooked many Yeah, they're not playing well. Now,
this is what I want to know, man, Like somebody
explained this to me. We we never gonna get the
true answer. Bro, what are the Memphis Grizzlies doing? Who
the hell fires their coach with nine games remaining? Who
the hell does that?

Speaker 6 (29:11):
That's tough. I don't know, man, I thought that's like
nine games. What did hey thought from a fall cuff?
You made no more than me because you on that
side of the NBA and you got information that we
don't have. I thought that Jenkins and John Morent were
a good match. Me too, because I thought that they were.

(29:33):
I thought that these two guys were on the same page.
And now I hear this, you say that John Moran
wasn't happy with the offense. John Moran can the offense
winning whenever he wants to, So.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
Yeah, there there there were reports recently that basically he
was taking the ball out of John Moran's hands more
and John didn't really like that. And then y'all don't
know if you saw the little incident the other night, well,
Desmond Bang got into a shoving match on the bench
with Aldama, so it's like you saw that. And then
two days later they fired their coach, so you know,

(30:05):
like they said, where smoke, there's fired, So you know
it's something going on in the locker room. But for
them to do this at this point is a hand scratcher.

Speaker 5 (30:12):
You not winning the championship anyway, just fine when they
get knocked out the.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
Playoffs exactly, Like it's I don't think it's a good
look for your organization to do that, like organization wise,
And then I just feel like he was some backdoor
type stuff because the guy that they hired, I can't
I can't remember his actual name, but he was an
assistant and he coached in the euro League and all that.
So it seems like a back door move where they
wanted him to be the guy, and the coach and

(30:35):
the players probably wanted him to be the guy. You
know how it works. And it's like now it's smid.

Speaker 5 (30:40):
In your face all the time. They want to take
kill play outstaff.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
Stammers.

Speaker 6 (30:48):
I can't recall or remember a time where a head coach,
what you know, draw up plays on the sideline and
take the ball out of your best player's hands. I
don't understand that can it can happen in the floor
of a basketball game. Even even when you're on the
court with John Moran and you know he's the best player,

(31:10):
you will try to get the ball to him because
you know he has a better chancellor opportunity to make
a play.

Speaker 3 (31:18):
So crazy, you know the craziest part about this, by
them firing Taylor Jenkins, there's rumblings that they're gonna trade
John Moran this summer because they don't want to pay
him that man. They don't want to pay him the superman.
Why would you, Yeah, somebody's definitely gonna pay him. Like
I could see him, I could see him going somewhere else,
And and teams stepping up.

Speaker 6 (31:39):
To the blame.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
But well, just depends on the market, right the Miami
he got.

Speaker 4 (31:48):
It can't be if I'm the Miami he that. That's like, bro,
have you ever done You can't put it? Can't put
him in that situation. I was about to give y'all
horrible dame.

Speaker 6 (31:59):
Well just just ship job.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
Put an alcoholic right next to h to just make
a liquor store. You cannot do it and.

Speaker 5 (32:08):
Missus one more game, go ahead, miss one more game,
job and come back after this time.

Speaker 3 (32:12):
LeVar, LeVar, you're saying a good fit for John Marine
would be the Utah Jazz.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
Yes, yes, yes, yes, the Utah Jazz on perfect, perfect
San Antonio Spurs person, you got, the river walk, you got,
you got things you can do that aren't crazy man.

Speaker 3 (32:34):
But Mia speaking, speaking speaking of the Utah Jazz real quick,
I am hoping in praying that they they're trying to
tank right now. I'm a hope along with you, Charlotte Hornet,
they shut down Lamellow Ball for the Jesus, everybody's trying
to tank right now to get Cooper flag. I do
not want to see Cooper flag on the Utah Jazz.
I just don't want to see this, and you don't.

Speaker 6 (32:55):
Want to see me in Utah.

Speaker 5 (32:56):
You don't want to see him in Washington like the
n he ain't gonna make sure he gets to a
city and a team that's gonna be benefit.

Speaker 6 (33:04):
Ain't doing that.

Speaker 5 (33:05):
Lebron go to Cleveland, Yeah, right, when he goes to Sanaton.

Speaker 6 (33:10):
All Cooper flag going up in DC.

Speaker 5 (33:14):
The NBA will guarantee.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
That they did it with Christian Letner.

Speaker 4 (33:17):
Hey, hey, look here, don't trip though, don't don't trip.
Just make sure y'all take care of my man, John Urrad.
Do not send him to Miami to play for the
Heat please. Hey, that's Cuffs the Legend, man. You can
check him out on ig at Cuffs the Legend to
some dude show.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
Make sure you check him out, man.

Speaker 6 (33:37):
This is a T. J.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
Hutchman's out of Plexico burst. I'm LeVar Arrington.

Speaker 4 (33:40):
This is up on game on the other side of
the break, We're gonna wrap it on up and get
this thing ready to pass it on. But hey, we're
gonna talk NFL. It's an interesting three year deal that
was done. Is it gas in the tank? Is there
gas in the tank? Is there two Pace in the two.
We're gonna discuss that super quick as we wrap up

(34:00):
the shows up on game Fox Sports Radio all right.
You can stream this show and all our Fox Sports
Radio shows live twenty four to seven in the new
and improved iHeartRadio app. Just search Fox Sports Radio in

hit the preset Fox Sports Radio in the iHeartRadio app
and it will always pop up at the.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Top of your screen. Make sure you do it.

Speaker 4 (34:43):
We are in the tyrack dot Com studios. We're wrapping
it up before we get up out of here. Fellas.
News hit this year that Stefan Diggs was getting new
digs pun intended, I guess going from Houston, Texas after
a shortened season and buy an injury a knee injury.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Now agrees to a three year deal.

Speaker 4 (35:05):
Do y'all feel like Stefan Diggs and you guys being
receivers knowing how that position works, Do you guys believe
that he still has enough gas in the tank?

Speaker 6 (35:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (35:16):
Man, number one, it's the amount of times that they
practice you hard is none now, and so they gonna
make sure he's all right. The technology. He's only thirty one,
never really had a major injury until now, and so

(35:36):
I believe he gonna be fine.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Man.

Speaker 5 (35:38):
I believe he's gonna really help Drake may out the
same way that he helped Josh Allen out. And so
he's gonna have a lot to prove. But you know,
it's crazy when a god turns thirty, it's like, oh man,
he's starting to lose it. You ain't starting to lose nothing.
It's just the perception that they begin to say it.

(35:58):
And number you don't practiced, dude, I think they're a
lotted like from training camp to the end of the season.
I believe thirty three padded practices from training camping all
the way to the end of the season, thirty three
padded practices. No more double days. Stefan Digg's gonna be fine. Yeah,

(36:19):
I believe so me obviously, you know, he's not the elite.

Speaker 6 (36:23):
You know what he used to be. You know, seven
eight years ago he was arguably, you know, one of
the best, he was in all of football. But you know,
nothing starts father the time. You know, he's coming off
of ACM, coming off of VENIG, going back to the
AFC East. Well, he will see the Buffalo Bills twice
a year, which should which should be good and entertaining.

(36:45):
But I think he's going to help Drake May. You know,
I believe that he's going to come into this situation
and he's probably going to be the best option that
they have at the wide receiver position. Thirty one I played,
believe my last year playing with thirty four, So I
believe he'll be just fine. You know, he's gonna add

(37:06):
a lot of value to those to that wide receiver room,
in those young men. So he's gonna go into it
with a positive outlook. He's going to be able to
help the team offensively, especially in the passing game. I
believe that, you know, he'll be will he will be
a comfort blanket for h for Drake May moving forward

(37:27):
in his progression and becoming a better player. So I
like to move three years sixty four. I don't give
a damn word the team, Matt, I'm going to play football.

Speaker 4 (37:39):
Do you think this is a good move outside of
the money, Do you think this is this team going in.

Speaker 6 (37:46):
The right, keep it. Let's just keep it g all right,
Stefan Diggs three years sixty four million at Dennis Point
at this point of his career. See it's beautiful, man.
It's a great situation to be in that you can
make this much money at in your thirties playing a

(38:09):
wive se position in the NFL. I think that he
threw all of those expectations out the window when he
looked at the choices that he had in front of him,
him and his agent. I want to win the world championship. Okay,
I can go to I don't know, Kansas City, or

(38:30):
I can go to Baltimore. But the New England Patriers
have three years sixty four million, man, sixty nine, oh,
sixty nine. Oh, I'm going to New England twenty three years.
Say let's say I come exactly.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
All right. So good luck to you, Stephan Diggs.

Speaker 6 (38:51):
Yes, good luck to you.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
By the way, I hope it does work out for him.

Speaker 6 (38:55):
Good luck he's healthy and able to go out and
and be the Stephan Diggs that we know he can
be at.

Speaker 1 (39:03):
You were with Rabel in Pittsburgh, aren't you.

Speaker 6 (39:06):
Yes? I played five years with Ray yep, you I mean,
we know.

Speaker 4 (39:11):
He did a hell of a job in what he
did guiding the Tennessee Titans. Do you guys you know,
just super quick because we only got a couple one
minute actually, but do you guys think that he changes
the path of the Patriots.

Speaker 6 (39:25):
Understanding Mike Rabel and playing with him and knowing who
he is as a person, He's a great offense defensive mind.
He's highly intelligent. He's going to go to uh New England.
He's going to try to reciprocate the three four defense
that he played under with Dick Lebow when I was
in Pittsburgh that he ran in Tennessee. The man missed

(39:47):
the playoffs one year, I believe, out of his first five,
and you fired him. Mike Vrabel is a hell of
a football coach.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
You agree, disagree? TJN. I like Rabel.

Speaker 6 (39:59):
I like Rabel. Man.

Speaker 5 (40:00):
Y'all know me man, former players for the most part,
we understand how to act and get along with the
current players. We know which bustion is to push, We
know what to do what not to do, and it's
just something that you learn from being in the locker
room and from being a player. And so I believe
he's gonna turn it around fairly quick. You got a quarterback,

(40:23):
you got a receiver. That defense is going to be
top of the line, So yeah, they'll be fine.

Speaker 4 (40:27):
Well, we'll see how it all plays out. I wish
the best to Vrabel and to Stephan the rest of
those guys. I'm a fan. Jonas Notch is coming up.
This is up one game. Fox Sports Radio,
