Speaker 1 (00:03):
What's up.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's way up at Angela yee. I got my guy
Naj here with me from Ciguard Talk and I appreciate
you listen cause you love boxing just like I do.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
So, man, I love this thing.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
And how could I not have you here because Clarissa
Shield is in the building.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Whoo whoo, whoo, whoop, whoop. The greatest, Listen, the greatest.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
I feel like when it comes to boxing, we always
talk about this, like all the accolades you have is
just building up, building up, building up. But I just
always want to make sure that people are giving you
your credit and you're just due from the beginning.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
And I want to clarify something too.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
When you fut Danielle Perkins, I left a comment and
I was like, oh man, this is tough for me,
you know, Brooklyn, but I still was rooting for you.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
It's just tough because you know, it's hard to go
against the home team always. But I did I.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
Don't know, you know, strange. I thought that comment was
about some news. I didn't think it was about her. Okay,
what'd you think?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
It was?

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Nothing?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Oh my god, No, I was talking about that fight,
you know what.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
It's so weird. That the whole thing kind of became
about Brooklyn for the fight because Papa was from Brooklyn, right,
so they thought like, oh, she wore the teams for
papp And they were like, no, I want to teams
to show Dan Yelle, like I know how y'all get
down in Brooklyn and I'm come to let you know,
like I'm coming to get down like that time.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
You know, it's so much.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
About Brooklyn where she learned about them tims from.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
Yeah, right, so, and I was actually gonna wear some
heels and then at least putting a fur coat on
with the fendy fur and I put the bathing suit
on or like the little lingerie. Then they was like, yo,
I looked at the fur and I was like, I
think because because I had been coming in a building
whenever and I seen Dan Yelle and I was like,
we're Brooklyn at letting her know, Like listen, I'm on

(01:43):
whatever you want. If you want to fight before the fight,
we can fight before the fight. But it is what
it is, you know, because I'm from Flint and yeah, so,
but no, I understand that.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
So I was just saying, this is tough because I'm
going against Brooklyn that's all I.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
Was coming from.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
I was like, no, y'all, I just tell y'all know
I'm a claressa Shells fan. But and you know, she
did give you your props because for her to get
a fight of that magnitude was a big deal for
her as well.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
No, it was, and I feel like Dan Yelle she
rose to the occasion. And mean, listen, she is people
talking about, oh, she only had five fights, and they
talk about, like, my level of opposition who I fight against?
Ain't nobody fighting against Danielle Perkins. And it's the reason
for that. She hit you and it changed your mind,
like if you soft, you're gonna cry out. Like if

(02:33):
you soft then she punched you, you're gonna be like, oh,
all that attitude you had, you look at you like, oh,
she's kind of big and maybe she don't punch that fast.
We're like, no, that girl is big and strong and
she faster than what she looked when we got in there.
She was trying to win the fight. I'm just I'm
just great at what I do And in my mind
didn't change when she hit me because Dan Yoe did

(02:56):
land some punches.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
I was actually at the fight and the energy in
there was so crazy. Everybody got their first on. They
play who that trick in there? Like the energy was
just yeah, I like, but it was like the last
round you caught her with a shot that was like
the highlight. Tell me about that, Like just being in
your city, everything with landing that type of punch in
your city.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Listen, it's so many. It was so much leading up
to that fight that just had me turned up, you
know what I mean, Like, you know, I had to
be the bigger person throughout all these different events in
my life. I had to promote the movie, I had
to promote the fight. I had to keep my personal
life still private. It was so much that weight on it.
But come on, now, ain't nobody getting beat up in
front of their man.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
That's the way I wanted to knockout, you know what
I'm saying. But ain't nobody.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
Ain't nobody getting me First of all, I was like,
I'm not getting beat in front of my mom, but
especially my man.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
My man walked me out. I was like, oh nah,
people that walked you out and.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
You lost, oh my god.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Honestly would been his fault. Everybody would have blamed them.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Yeah. So no, so for me, it was like but
then Yell tried to come so hard last round, and
she had did something around before it, and I was like, ooh,
this girl Donna pissed me off so bad. I think
she held me on the rope to one hand and
hit me with the other one, and I remember it
and I was like, you know what, it's over.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
She pulled that shit again.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
Next round, I'm gonna I'm gonna drop her ass. And
it was like she just got so last round. You know,
all these girls by oh, let's just go to war,
Let's go all out. And I'm like, as soon as
she gets too happy, I'm I'm a clocker. And she
just got too happy in that moment and she got clocked.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
If that would have went a little bit longer, be
a knockout, I thought it was a knockout.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
The ref counted ten. She turned around. That's the wave off.
You don't get to turn around when after the ref
count ten, ask you are you good? Do you want
to fight? She turned her back to me. I'm six
and oh with four knockouts, and that's no disrespect to
Dan Yelle. But it was ten seconds left in the fight.
She turned her back and then when I ran upon her,
the bell the bell had rang. But no, you don't
get to turn your back. If the ref say hey,

(04:59):
do you wanna fight?

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Are you good?

Speaker 4 (05:00):
And then you just turn around to your corner, that
means you don't want to fight, way to fight off?
You know.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Back to what you said now that not even thinking
more about that, if you would have, y'all would have
broke up.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
If that would have been a loss, because it would
have been far and then for real, you would have
went home and been like this never happened before.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
I am a person who likes to come to boxing.
It's like I only me control that, so I don't
blame like my coaches boyfriends.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Do you have superstitions superstition?

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Yeah, listen, I don't. I don't have six or six
weeks before the fight.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Okay, And that's the big thing.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
People be like, yo, But it's like every boyfriend I've
had has known like a my dog, do not touch
me six weeks before.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
You can't make out or nothing.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
I mean I could kiss on that stuff, but as
far as in me, nah no, Like I can't do that.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Girls do? Okay?

Speaker 4 (05:51):
What is that?

Speaker 1 (05:52):
What's the word or orgasm. You can't. I don't do that.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
It's like I save it all up so you can fight.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
But right after that fight, baby were on and popping,
and so after that fight too, you were talking about
like who's next, you know to fight. It's interesting because
Naji and I spoke to Boots and he was saying,
how the politics are backing boxing. You can't always fight
who you want to fight. So you do have you
had to name some people, but you do have a

(06:25):
big fight coming up that I'm like, after hearing the
energy and all of that, I feel like I got
to be at that in my calendar.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Bigger.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
It's gonna be bigger this this time. We got nineteen
thousand seats, we got little Caesars Arena, we got Detroit,
we got me fighting it. You got the goat fighting
whenever I fight. Just no, it's not just gonna be
just a fight. You're gonna get a concert before the fight.
You're gonna get a great walkout. And I mean, like
the energy that's a my fights. I go to other fights,

(06:56):
the energy is not the same. It's not I have
a different fan base and and my fan base it's
really a it's really a fighting fan base, like the
fans be wanting to fight.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Yeah, that's what's funny. When they fighting at the fight,
You're like, guys, come on, can we watch that?

Speaker 4 (07:15):
So I have never seen the fight happen at none
of my fights, but I'm saying, like the energy is
like everybody like they're like they're all there cheering for
one person I give.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
I give the state.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
Of Michigan in Detroit and Flint, I give them hope, faith,
and everybody is rallying behind me. And I'm like a
superhero where I'm from. So they think that.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
I've heard guys in the barbershop come back to him
like they was talking, if you was to fight against
a fifty year old, a fifty eight year old Mike Tyson,
you will knock him out. And I was like would
you like, oh, you would get knocked out. And I'm like,
what did you say?

Speaker 1 (07:48):
He was like I was gonna tell him like, man,
niggas is crazy, Clarissa, knock Mike Tyson out.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
And I'm like, Mike Tyson, like, I'm like, you're going far.
But it's like that's how much they believe in me,
Like I don't even believe I would do anything with
Mike Tyson. To be honest with you, even at fifty
eight years old, I went, Wow, nothing.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
So, but but you think that you would beat Jake
Paul and he beat Mike Tyson.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
Oh, please stopping.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
And I'm just saying, Jake, listen.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
I said that out of the respect for uncle Mike
Tyson and all that he do. Listen, Jake Paul, can
I be mean on boxing match?

Speaker 1 (08:22):
I stay on that.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
I really wish he was just him and MVP got
so much against me him Amanda Alicia Autumn hating ass girls.
I wish. I wish Jake Paul would just just get
in the ring with me. All you gotta do, I
promise you, I her he want to put on a
head gear, I'll put on the head gear we can wear.
Fourteen twelve hours, ten dollars close. I'm telling you, Jake
probably mad as hell. You mad as hell when you

(08:44):
get done.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
I wasn't Savannah Marshall signed to him too?

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (08:47):
I beat her? Ass already signed?

Speaker 3 (08:50):
She signed the MVP recently.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Oh, she said, Listen, she had come to America to
fight against shdation, but she won't come to America to
fight against.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
She said, I feel like she's trying to get ready.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
She says she back training, so.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
That don't really matters.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
That's interesting.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
I mean, I see you and MVP I kind of
going at it on social media here and there.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
No you, you don't see me doing nothing. They all blocked.
I don't deal with none of them. I'm focused on
July twenty six because that's when the greatest woman of
all time is fighting inside the ring live on his
own our little Caesar tickets on ticket mass.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
And to be clear, greatest women of all time is
not something that is not backed up by facts, because
I want to say that too. It ain't like because
people will call themselves something the quote, but they don't
have the actual stats to back it up.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
The accolades is on the table right now.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
You see.

Speaker 4 (09:38):
You know I got I got seventeen world titles in
five different divisions. I've conquered the only four time undisputed champion.
Like me and Terrence Crawford talking, Terrence like I got
to catch up with you.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Yeah, that's that female but male female across the board.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
That's that goat talk and people talking about some I
just take the w out and I always tell everybody
The only reason that it's a w there is because
to me, Muhammed Ali will always be the greatest of
all time. Me learning about him changed my life and
gave me confidence. As being a younger black girl who
didn't have self esteem and you know, finding boxing, loving

(10:15):
boxing and just having to be in women's boxing, I
had to always defend myself and stand up for myself
and put people in their place. And that's what Muhamma
Ali did back in a day to white people when
it was like, you know, you can get hung right
and Mahama Ali was like, he don't. He don't give
a shit, and nobody gonna touch him. He gonna say
what he want to say. He gonna check you, and
you're gonna respect him. To me, being a woman, that's

(10:37):
how I feel like I have to let you know like, yeah,
I'm a woman and I'm a black woman, but you're
not gonna disrespect me. You're gonna you're gonna pay me,
gonna you're gonna talk to me kindly. We're gonna have
great communication. And when it comes to boxing, nothing gets
in the way of my boxing and my career, you know.
So that's why he'll always be to be First, I

(10:58):
only take second to one person, and.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
That's Mahamma Ali. You know when you're talking.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
About these pound pound lists, I like that, you know,
I think Gabris I don't just put me on his
top five pound for pound and I think it was
Terence on there, Oo Sick and new Beval and then
me and I was like, oh, Ship, that's a hell
of a list and you got this sc Yeah, I'm
the only one boxer in history to get into everyone. No,
I wasn't nominated just for the SB, but I wanted

(11:23):
the SB over Tank, Devin Haney and who else was it?
I think who was the three that was on there
for that? Oh?

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Tyson Harritt?

Speaker 3 (11:35):
What is sper On there?

Speaker 4 (11:37):
Oh? Lord have mercy? I felt like it. I think
it was your cor Devon and Tank. In me you
think it was Tyson? Well, she the publisher. She no better.
She's like, no, I did my googles, Yeah, but no
like And then that's why I come text with Mahamali.
Now as far as in you know boxing, if we now,

(11:59):
I just want to be clear, if we take away
the accolades, right, and we take away the Olympic gold
medals because these girls ain't got that either, but okay,
it's a extra. Let's take away the gold medals. Let's
take away the belts, Let's take away to SPI. Let's
take away everything. Look at how I box. That's it.
When you watch film with me fighting and you watch
film with these other girls fighting or women fighting. That's

(12:22):
the difference there, right, that's the difference. It's not just
about the trash talk. Oh, oh she getting all this
because she got to Olympic gold medals or people, oh,
people getting behind her because she's trash talk Like no,
I fight very very good.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
You know what.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
I've been watching your career for a long time and
you know that. And it's interesting to me that people
have said things, and I've heard them say things like, oh,
people only know who she is now because she's daddy papoos.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
That, which is the funniest thing to me.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
I see people online like you don't know if I
hear that, I'm like, oh.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Because if you watch boxing, and like we just said
male or female, the accolades that you have across the board,
and we were just saying before the interview, your name
should be changed to only or the first Yeah, you know,
because it is true, and so sometimes I think if
people aren't following this or they're just seeing like the
little gossip stuff they don't understand. And then you have
a whole movie, two movies, a documentary, and my whole

(13:21):
biopic feature film.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Well about you.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
You see all that stuff you just mentioned as positive stuff.
Right when it comes to dating another celebrity, people find
a way to make it be negative and drama. They're not.
They drama happens, right, and people all want to know
what's this drama that happened. And then that's when they

(13:46):
discovered me. But I had a million point one followers
before then, so now I have one point three. But
also with the one point three, I thought I had
my biopic come out. I had commercials everywhere all over
the world. People at the end of the movie, they say, CLARESSA.
Shields is still undefeated. She's the first one to make

(14:06):
a million dollars. She you know, it runs my accolades
and showing that she's still active. So that's where people
learned about me at too. So it's like, I don't
I don't get mad when I hear people say that
old people only know her because of the past, because I
know it's one hundred percent not true, but I can
say that me me being with him has added value

(14:29):
to my life and I added value to his.

Speaker 5 (14:32):
Looking at the positive, do you find it difficult to
be in a high profile relationship now?

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Yeah, because it's different.

Speaker 4 (14:38):
Yeah, well it has its challenges, you know, But I
will say that, you know, we're both pisced. He's his
birthday March fifth, mind March seventeenth.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Okay, pisces are pretty chill, yep.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
Pretty chill water signs very very confident.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
He's a man in his word.

Speaker 4 (14:56):
I'm a woman of my word. And we were friends
and we spent a lot of time together before anybody
knew anything about us being together. He was at the
premiere when you did the questionnaire. You didn't see him,
He's winning back.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
I definitely did not see him. Anybody seen it, Okay.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
He smoothed like that, so he was in and out.
You know what I'm saying. He watched the movie, He
even watched the questionnaire.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Is that his first time seeing it? Yes, yep.

Speaker 4 (15:27):
And so so just with that, it's like we spent
so much time together. We built our own relationship, in
our own bond, and we both understood that once we
did come out. Because for me, I don't mind being
public in my relationship. As you can see, Angela, I've
been up here, maybe I had two or three different already,
so you know, my mom be like.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
Let me.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
Every time she come up here. She know I'm again
in her business too, So.

Speaker 4 (15:52):
I didn't even notice. So I had gone to an
argument last time, well a time before with the guy
I was engaged to, and he has said something about,
oh why you why you were in the ring and
me and you broken up. So before I came to
a show, I took the ring off because me and
him got into an argument. And then I get up here.
I'm just talking and she's like, where you're ring at?

Speaker 1 (16:16):
I wasn't ready, you know.

Speaker 4 (16:18):
So but it's a good it's a good relationship, and
we respect each other, and that's the main thing, respecting
each other, knowing that you know, things take time, and
that overall we're always friends first. And I mean, he
this dude is, oh my god. I mean, everybody knows
he's backstirt and everything, but this dude is the He's

(16:38):
the epitome of just like well like a man is.
He's very, very helpful. He's very kind, he's very smart,
and we all know he can rap, you know what
I'm saying, And he just I don't know how I
would navigate this last year of my life without pap'
I canna say.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
And you guys were kind of forced out to but
but when it happens, and said leaf to kind of
just be like, we ain't got to sneak around no more.

Speaker 4 (17:03):
Well I wouldn't say that we was ever sneaking in
the first place.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Well, you kind of want to keep it private though,
not kidding.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
We just was private and we both knew that he
was wrapping me out February second.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
We knew that, all right, But that still don't mean
you know what I mean, That just means you chose
him against a Brooklyn fighter.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
To Nah, we already knew that we was gonna come
out fight week.

Speaker 4 (17:26):
We knew that, like we knew, we had already talked
about it, We had discussed it, and it was a
thing of just like are you suret Because for me
it was like I really didn't care because I was
like I enjoyed the privacy of it, you know what
I'm saying. Like I've been in so many you know,
point Blane period. When you're in a public relationship, right, everybody's, oh,

(17:48):
couple goals, we love y'all, we love y'all. And then
you break up and like the fans like you owe
them an explanation on your life on while you broke
up with somebody, they wanted to like, what's the details?

Speaker 1 (17:57):
What happened?

Speaker 4 (17:58):
Did somebody cheat? Did somebody hit somebody? And it's like,
I don't do that.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
You can't nobody, You'll go to jail.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
I have a registered weapons. I still I still put
my hands on.

Speaker 4 (18:18):
He's thinking an fight to he crazy no, But it's
like for me, it's like I don't do that. It's
like once me and a person are together and we
I mean, listen, we do our best to make it work.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
But if it don't work, I like to just move.

Speaker 4 (18:28):
On, right, you know, I have to move on and
they move on, and yeah, people still bring the old person,
but it's like, no, I don't owe people explanation.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
You got to jump in there too.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
I was like, I was like, yeah, that was.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
The online New Black Love. How you feel about that?
That title?

Speaker 4 (18:51):
To me? I think it's like completely a different thing.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Yeah, give it's a different title.

Speaker 4 (18:57):
Yeah, Like if I if I had to give you,
I always say, like, you know, gold love, Okay, go
love because gold, no matter what time and age it is,
it never gets old. Everybody love gold, ear rings, you love,
you love gold, you love trophies. I mean, I'm kind
of mad at this.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
XP isn't golden. The value of gold is people are
investing in gold right now, So that's what economy is
as well.

Speaker 4 (19:21):
It's nothing wrong with I think. I think black love
is like a great title, and I think couples that
have that are you know that they deserve that and
it's a beautiful thing.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Right Well, listen, we got to talk more about what
else is going on. Another thing you was from Baddie's
to Seki. I was like, why is she entertaining this? Like,
you know, she says she could beat you, and I'm
and I both can agree that getting in the ring
is a whole different thing. People really think they could
fight until that's.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
Like a lawsuit plan. Like here's my lawsuit plan. I'm
gonna just try to get Clarissa to do something.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
That's the only thing what makes you even say, let
me even entertain this conversation.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
Because she can't fight like that. That's that's the point
of it. Like, listen, first of all, I'm a fan
of baddies. I'm a fan of Nalie None. She wanted
me to be on the show what she did, and
I tell you, well, listen, I don't. I don't. You know,
I don't go around just punching people.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
I know you don't. But God forbid, somebody try you,
because that will happen.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
Oh yeah, God forbid. Yeah absolutely, Angela, But this is
what I'm saying, Like, you know, for me, it was like,
see this what I want to explain people? Right, I
have to ignore negativity every single day of my life.
And and that's from first I say, oh, don't always
easy to ignore people who don't got followers, who not know,

(20:40):
you know, they're not important. But then you got people
that got millions of followers, networks, brands, and they're attacking me.
And it's like, I'm just supposed to sit there, And
am I supposed to tell you? I'm supposed to sit
there and just be classy and I you do some
I try, But it was like the audacity. First of all,

(21:05):
let's be.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
Real let's get to it.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
I'm from Flint, Michigan. I'm from Flint, Michigan like I
am from the trenches. I grew up poor.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
I chose boxing and fought my way out the hood
to win two Olympics. So you know what I was
doing in the street before I got to Olympics, please,
I was fighting grown men right right, I spar against growming.
But before I got in boxing, I had been come
on man, like, don't talk. First of all, even if

(21:35):
you take the gloves off and me and to SEEKI
what was to fight? She'd be mad to tell? After
I would break every bone in that girl face, that's real,
Like I wouldn't even And then it would be so
unfair because how I was slammer, because I've done MMA,
It'd be crazy, like stop playing?

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Who'd you go back to? MMA?

Speaker 4 (21:52):
Is done?

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (21:53):
But the fact that I can do all of that
like this is not like a regular. I'm not a regular.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
I'm aware. I'm aware.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
Like I may look I think I carry everything pretty
feminine and cute, But girl, I can I can bench
one hundred and eighty five pounds? What are we talking about?
I can dad live almost three hundred pounds like I
am a very fit and strong woman, and I have
a problem with disrespect. That's why I responded to her.
I'm like, hold on, first of all, all these started.

(22:26):
First of all, I don't go around calling out females
who don't box right in Detroit at little Sister versus
like great, who's the two time world champ. I don't
go around calling these girls out. When I had seen
like the little clip going around and she talking about
some oh I will beat clearer the cup and no, no, no,

(22:47):
and that was to train like her. And it was
just like, I.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Mean, that's a lot of fs if I was to change,
like care she said popping pills stop.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
I ain't never popped the perky in my life. But
it's the fact she gotta stop doing all this stuff.
And it was like, hold up what. I was really
shocked to see it because it was like your fans
somehow learned about me, and because you kicking ass on baddies,
which she did be kicking ass on baddie, shout.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
Out to her, Oh so she got hands, she got hands,
she got she.

Speaker 4 (23:18):
Got hands for the girls on batties. For sure. She
beat boxers, And I don't think they professional street fighters either,
So now we get So I watched that, and so
her fans found out about me, and then she's, you know,
beating girls up, and so they started coming at me like, oh,
how you think you're doing a fight against the seeking

(23:39):
I ain't know who she was at first. I know
who Krishan is being with blue Face, but I didn't
know who she was. So now I'm like, who is this?
So now I go and look, I'm like, oh, sh
she tearing it up. You know. She she beating these
girls up on baddies like she dogging them. I mean
I heard she breaking teeth a girl teeth that she
knocked out Diamond. She hit me up, was like, hey,
can you teach me how to box? I said yeah,

(23:59):
because I saw what hap drive class, you know, so
I was like, you know, but from there, but I
think Ivory was the one who I really wanted static with.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
You know, she's a bit more rougher than Toski.

Speaker 4 (24:21):
I love that you watch this, Yeah, Like, but for me,
I'm always thinking a ways, how can I I'm a
business woman, Let's let's not get it mixed up. How
can I how can I expand my brand? How can
I because I think baddies have a good it's a
they have a very unique brand of when it comes

(24:41):
to fighting and being a baddie and chains and whatever.
It's different from boxing, but it's ways you can mix
the two, okay. And in my mind, I'm like if
I can't just get I was like, who would y'all
want me to fight? If y'all had to pick out
of if I have to fight Ivory or to Seki
and I had let the fans pick right and I rey.
First of all, that was two summers ago. I re

(25:04):
responded to seek. You never responded. I react. She started
getting in the gym, start working out. I re even
was calling me my fight July twenty seventh, because I
guess the Batties premiere was up in Detroit too. She
wanted to come to the fight, but she let me
know last minute. I was in the back getting warmed
up when she was calling that's really last minute. Oh

(25:25):
it's so last Come on, that's crazy. I can't even
in the front. No, but I'm not the door. No.
But I was like, listen, I want to come to
your fight. After the fight, call me inside the ring.
We can fay this is me talking to her. I
was like, you would come do all that? She was
like yeah, like like let's get this paper, let's let's go.

(25:48):
Because she's not she's not scared of me, she's not
intimidated to me, but.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
She also understands the value of what that could do
for her game.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
Like forty fifty thousand followers. When I started posting pictures
of her and did like the split whatever, she told
me she like man followers going up.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
I said, I see girl, it Madgine. You really got
in a ring and you know, hell jone, you know
right now we're.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
Inside the ring.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
I don't know what else. I don't know what's going
to happen.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
Proposition for fifty thousand followers, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (26:17):
Well it was free thousand followers, and it was like
a different you gotta realize, like she come from a
different She's not known like that, Like she was known
for kicking as on like I think, now that's TV.
But it was like no, like she can really wants
to up her life. Now she's on Baddy, so that's
a big upgrade, you know, and she's making some money
down But it was more of a thing like the

(26:39):
brands to cross, you know, promote, and to kind of
how can we bring this street fighter in this boxer together,
because who knows, after we would have thought maybe she
would have wanted to become a boxer and been her
trainer and I could have trained her and she could
become a world champion. It's it's a longevity to.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
Process that you just went through telling me that she
would because I really liked fighting. She made she liked
fighting like me. You know you love it.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
I heard, I heard seeky she don't like fighting like that.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Oh, she just do it well.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
The other thing I want to talk about the movie
for a minute too, the Fire Inside, because I was
at the premiere that we did, so I had a
chance to talk to you and Ryan Destiny and asked
a lot of questions. I wish that would have been
like televised because I thought it was such a great conversation,
you know, right after the movie, to be able to
have those thoughts, what are some things in the movie,
because I know it's still Hollywood and it's still drama

(27:35):
that you're like, it ain't quite really happened like that.

Speaker 4 (27:39):
I've never tried to pond my goal medal. Okay, dramatic.
I remember that because I know, you know, I love
my goal model too much. Now. It was a point
where I didn't want to look at it, where I'll
put it up in the closet and I think I
hate it for myself, where I didn't even know where
it was at for a few months because I just

(27:59):
got tired of body telling me, you know, you want
the Olympic gold medal. You didn't get no endorsements, you
didn't get no sponsorships. They they overlooked you. We got
magazine covers with the Golden Girl on Essence, which I
feel like, listen, Essence, y'all owe me a cover on
Essence with me and all my belts and all my trophies.
Because twenty twelve they had Gabby Douglass, Sonya Richardson, Kremle

(28:24):
the Jeter and it was one more African American woman
on the on the.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Cover, and you guys can look this up.

Speaker 4 (28:32):
And I seen that, and that's I think that's the
first time where I was like, Wow, I'm really just
getting overlooked. I'm getting ignored, Like what I did doesn't
it doesn't mean anything. And this was Essence, and I'm like,
I'm the you know. Yeah, so I was like, what
the heck, And so that's probably one of the one

(28:53):
of the first times where like my feelings was actually
hurt and I was like, dang, I guess what I
did didn't mean nothing. So I wanted to throw my
gold medal in the river, but I just ended up
hiding it up in the closet and I just didn't
want to look at it for a while.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
That's why when people saw that movie, they because you
can't fathom, like, this woman done won these Olympic gold
medals first time the United States, you know, won in
the Olympics for boxing and nothing, and then back home.

Speaker 4 (29:21):
Well, for me, the best thing that I got that
people don't really like to acknowledge, I got internal happiness.
You know. I had been thinking about the Olympics since
I was thirteen years old. To go at the age
of seventeen and actually win the gold medal, it was
it's like you set out a gold for all these
years and you have to do all these small things
to get to it, and then when you get there,

(29:41):
you're like, oh man, this is the moment. I'm finally here.
And there's so many things that happened in between that
almost stopped it.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
But you made it here. And to be fighting and
to be fighting in.

Speaker 4 (29:54):
The Olympic gold medal round, to just be fighting the
finals every time I can. That's what makes me cry.
When I watched a movie, I'm like, oh my god,
you you're crazy. I don't want to go metaphor. That's
the part that's that that's the part that you know,

(30:17):
that's the amazing part to me, you know what I'm saying.
Like I was, I was able to do something that
a lot of people told me that I wouldn't be
able to do. And even though I didn't get the
endorsements and I didn't get the sponsorships, I was still
just I was still happy.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
You know, you got a lot of love in your hometown.

Speaker 4 (30:32):
Yeah, we all. They had a parade for me. They
made me at the airport. I got to eat a
McDonald's for free. I'm sorry, but McDonald's for free for
like for like two years.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
It's a big deal.

Speaker 4 (30:43):
That's a big.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
Everybody.

Speaker 4 (30:45):
That's what you like, I want if I went to
McDonald's with all of us, everybody get McDonald's. I am
Flint favorite daughter by Living Flint.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
And Brian Tyrey Henry. I thought he did an amazing
job playing I mean, he was phenomenal. And Ryan Destiny
we can't like, I can't talk enough about how she transformed.
Because even when I saw the casting for that movie,
and I know we talked about this while we were
on stage in front of Ryan, I was.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
Like, is she going to be able to pull that off?
But she killed that role.

Speaker 4 (31:22):
She played me so well. And Brian Tyrey Henry played
my former coach of Jason Crutchfield so well. But I
had to say with Ryan. I watched it, I'm like, man,
she was punching so fast, she was moving her head
she was. I mean it just and just like the
I have a different level of confidence that can be

(31:43):
broken by nobody. Like no matter what or who or
how or what you say, whatever you think is facts
and not facts. I have a confidence that's just out
of this world.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
And I seen Ryan display that.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
And you know, she asked me when she was shooting
the movie, she said, what is your confidence come from?
I said, girl, I can run six miles, you know
what I'm saying. Like, I can jump rope thirty minutes
without stopping. I can spar against men who are twenty
and thirty pounds bigger than me and still find out
where to dominate. Like hard work is where my confidence

(32:16):
come from. It's not just something that's just that was
always there. I didn't always believe that I was the
best fighter in the world. It was after I won
one Olympic gold medal I said, Okay, maybe you're the
best in the world. And then when I want too,
I said, oh you I've had the greatest.

Speaker 5 (32:31):
Now does it give you a new perspective watching it right,
because obviously you're living it right, so like living in
it is different than you know you're watching it back.
Does it kind of give you a new perspective on
like how far you actually came when you see the movie.

Speaker 4 (32:44):
Yeah. And I think the part that actually gets to
me is that it was so many times where I
wanted to quit. I wanted to quit before the before
the gold medal match, I wanted well before the first limbs.
I wanted to quit after the Olympics. I turned pro,
and it's been times in my professional career I'm like, man,
this ship is too much. I'm about to quit. Bro
I'm about to retire and just gone business and it's

(33:06):
it's so many, but to see where it started at,
like okay, no endorsement, no sponsors, like no sponsorships, and
now I was like, oh no, I got endorsements and
sponsorships to Olympic gold medals. I got millions of dollars.
I got a big old house. I got two big houses.
Now okay, like you know I got I got me
some nice little car. Got like I was like, oh

(33:27):
this is this is pretty cool. But you know what
they say, they say, you know, tell God your plans
and you know he he'll laugh at you and stuff
like that. So it was like I just wanted to
have a bed, you know, I was, I'm gonna win
the Olympics and buy me a bed after and in fact,
like I can buy me house and a bed and
a dresser, and I got a pool in the back
with a basketball hoop. Like it's God just does he

(33:51):
makes He does everything ten times fold whatever you think
that you can do God and is like, watch what
I can do for you. And you know, I think
I think I'm sure changing he can do it a
million times more than what than what we think when
it's something that we want.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
And even like with this movie to have a movie
on your life at that time, and this was something
that was in the works for like since twenty sixteen, right,
is that when they first, yeah, approached you about it?

Speaker 4 (34:17):
Yeah? They It was actually twenty fifteen before I won
the first Olympic gold medal. Okay, And they had a
certain amount of money and everything, and y'all I was
my own lawyer. I had a lawyer, but I was
negotiating him. I'm telling him, listen, they came with this
much money. I'm about to win another Olympic goal medal.
Tell him, I said, double it. I've always put by
my paper at my play give my money, and like

(34:40):
you know, it got like life rights. And I'm reading
the contract and I'm on Google. Listen. Google will save
a lot of people, a lot of lawsuits and give
you a proper definition of what these words mean if
you don't know what it means, like these turns.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
And now we got ais Ai. Listen, I'll be on
m Tingle Master. I just on Google. Wait a minute,
Google got its? How I am too? I Google everything?
So what happened? So you said it said life rights?

Speaker 4 (35:04):
Yeah, yeah, like life rights, Like how much of your
life do their own to shoot a movie like like
what years And for me, I was like, listen, after
twenty so y'all want to shoot from my childhood till
I want the Olympics, I said. But I also to
want you guys to add and I was telling them,
I'm like, listen, I'm gonna win the Olympics again, so
I want you guys to make sure that you put

(35:25):
that in the movie too. So that's how we got
put in there. And then at the end, I was like,
also at the end, make sure you put because I
knew I was going to be turning pro. I'm like,
I want to have at the end all of my
accolades and all of my stuff at the end of the.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Movie, and you knocking Savannah Marshall out because that was yeah,
she had to get dealt with.

Speaker 4 (35:43):
Yeah, she's a villain in the movie.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
She's a villain.

Speaker 4 (35:47):
Now she's a loser. But no, I was, I was
I was going to say that after the documentary t Rex,
that stigma lived on me forever that I want Olympic
gold medal. I didn't get any endorsements, I didn't get
any sponsorship. I still lived in Flint. Basically, I was

(36:07):
still poor and that lived until the Bido Pit came out,
and I was just like I kept people are like, oh,
Chris the bro Chris this.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
I'm like, what the hell? Like y'all watching something from
back twenty twelve. We all went in twenty twenty twenty
five and people were still saying stuff that was in
t REX And I just was like, Nah, how do
we change that narrative? Like have you do you guys
follow me on social media?

Speaker 4 (36:33):
Do you guys you see it?

Speaker 1 (36:35):
But they don't. They just watch.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
Documentary that got you on air and they say, oh,
this is this is her life. And I was like, nah,
because life continues.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Yeah, yeah, you know.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
And so I want to ask you after that movie,
because I haven't seen you since then, how have things
changed for.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
You just after that came out?

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Because that's a big like sharing with the world, and
like we said, it's on the plane so you could
watch the fire inside where you're on the flight, but
prime like all of that, how has life changed after that?

Speaker 4 (37:07):
It's changed for the better, you know?

Speaker 1 (37:10):
And it did so well when it came out too,
it did, It did.

Speaker 4 (37:13):
So well, and my and my fights have done well.
It has been really good. I have a lot of
celebrity friends. Now you know a lot of celebrity friends
in LA you know out there and Kelly and my people,
I get more money, I give my recognition.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
I just gotten I'm a nominee for the BT Awards.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
Yes, I feel like you're gonna win that too. I
feel good about it for you.

Speaker 4 (37:44):
I haven't got that like that feeling in my stomach.
You're like, yeah, you're gonna win it because I had
a feeling with the SB said I think I want
to know. So I think that I think it's possible
that I can win in but I feel like I'm
the first woman boxes to be nominated for the Sportswoman
of the Year Award for BET, which is another first,
and I believe that I can win it if they However,
I don't know like the voting process or anything, but

(38:06):
I will be at the b twards June seventh, and Kelly.

Speaker 5 (38:11):
Boxing question, So I know, you know Turkey Isla Chica
is a guy who's coming and making a lot of
moves in boxing. He put on the Fighting Times Square.
He only works with the best, and obviously you're one
of them. Has there ever been any conversations with you know,
with you being able to talk to him about doing
some some fights together.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
Absolutely. Oh so that's coming.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
So that's that's something that we can we can look
forward to in the in the future. But I got
to make sure I handle it into July twenty sixth,
that little Caesars give taken some ticket Master.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
What did you think about that fight in Times Square?
I saw you comment on Ryan Garcia crying in the car,
crying the call after that loss, and did you think
ahead of time that he was gonna lose?

Speaker 4 (38:49):
I said it.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
I was like, I can't. I don't think he's gonna
well my well, well, my heart was with Roly.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
I think Ryan has better skill, but but my heart
was with Roy because Ryan Garcia is a he's a cheat.
He's a cheater and we all know that. And he
didn't have his osterrien and his pickles. So yeah, yeah,
And and like I said, I don't know, listen, I
don't want of them. You know, people try to give

(39:16):
me slack for this, but it's like, listen, I love
I love my black fighters. I love my Mexican fighters,
Puerto Rican, all of them. But I love my black fighters.
You know, that's it. You know, if Canelo can say
he was rooting for Indie Ruiz only against Anthony Joshua
because Indy Ruis he was Mexican.

Speaker 1 (39:34):
Well, I can cheer for my brothers because they.

Speaker 4 (39:37):
Black, and because I personally know them and got love
for them, and they got love and respect for me,
you know what I'm saying. And they we are some
of the best farighters in the world, African Americans. So
let's be real and let's get paid exactly. So what
was the question was going? Oh, I didn't like what
Ryan did to Devin. Not the not the boxing part.
It was the cheating part. Okay, you know all the

(40:00):
all the trash talk leading up, all the crazy talk,
the racist comments, the racist comment. I mean, Ryan has
said stuff to me when he was on them drugs
and off the livery, stuff like that DM and me.
He on his space is talking crazy, all this stuff.
He tried to get on my spit. I said, boy,
you're crazy. I might give you entertaining this. No, yeah, no,
but I definitely did listen. I am I have mastered trolling.

(40:26):
Well good, I'm glad and Cryst will tell me not
to do it. But when somebody come messing up like
girl I'd be calling her and text her all.

Speaker 1 (40:34):
Day, like you a full time job for real. I'm like, listen, listen, listen.
But the guys you better, you better locked me out, girl.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
But I feel like the guys do it right, like
they I see them doing all of that online.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
Yeah, And it's also boxing, and it does. It does.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
When you can talk about boxing and you can talks
to people, that does also build up more of a
because I remember, but when it comes to backs and
you do have to sell fights, and it's more than
just being for people to come out. It's more than
just being a great boxer. That's the foundation of it.
But there's also excitement around other things too, and.

Speaker 4 (41:11):
Like the trash talk, they'll lead them to the fights
all that and you mentioned times square. I'm just gonna
be very very brief. I'm happy that Roley kicked Ryan
Garcia asked for the reason that I said, Devin Hany
did a good job against hold their mirrors, but I
was I wanted more out of him, but I was
happy to see him back inside the ring because the
hell of a fighter. He is the dream to me,

(41:32):
and I think that he just got to get a
little bit more aggression because I think he could have
done more damage to hold their mirrors, hold their mirrors.
He couldn't cut the ring off, he couldn't catch Devin.
But it was like to me how slow he was.
I think, I think that Devin should have pieced them
up some more. And then we got to your female,
who did better than what I thought, but well what
I thought he would do. But I don't know, but

(41:53):
that was to me, that was the most exciting fight
on the card. Okay, And I want to ask you this.

Speaker 2 (41:58):
After your against Danielle Perkins, you had said you had
an injury, yeah shoulder, yeah, your left shoulder, and that
maybe you were doing surgery.

Speaker 1 (42:07):
All right, did you do the surgery? Are you?

Speaker 4 (42:09):
No? So surgery would have took me out of boxing
for eight months, and I was like, I'm not doing that.

Speaker 1 (42:14):
No.

Speaker 4 (42:16):
So I end up going down to Vegas and shout
out to the UFC Center, shout out to Daniel White.
They let me come down and rehab my arm, and
I can go down there and wherever I need to
to if I need more rehab. But the ten but
the ten days that I did help my arm a
whole lot. And then I do they gave me some
workouts to do like every other day for my shoulder
and my and my shoulder is back to where where

(42:38):
it needs to be well.

Speaker 5 (42:40):
So you't a heavyweight undisputed champion, you know, take care
of business on the twenty sixth, but you we know
you for moving up in weight classes right, like four divisions?
I think it is a five five five divisions? Do
you see yourself moving back down?

Speaker 1 (42:55):
Like?

Speaker 3 (42:55):
How do you see yourself with the waightst when the
wait is concerned?

Speaker 4 (42:58):
You know what I am such a like.

Speaker 1 (43:03):
I just want to fight. That's gonna fight Whoever's.

Speaker 4 (43:06):
I just want to fight. I think the lowest I
can get is one fifty four. But even as people
now tell me how strong I am that I shouldn't
go below one sixty. That's what my team tell me.
But I am willing to go down to fifty four
to get big fights with me. Versus Lauren Price. She's
at one fifty four. She will fight against Mikayla for
the Unspitted championship. And Lauren Price is also an Olympic

(43:28):
gold medal list.

Speaker 3 (43:29):
I like that versus gold medal.

Speaker 4 (43:30):
Hey talk to me like that, and then it's America
versus U can again, that's something Savanna couldn't do.

Speaker 1 (43:35):
She couldn't even win a bronze medal. But next.

Speaker 4 (43:39):
So But but that's a good fight I think that
I would want to have. I would want to also
fight against Mikayla mayor not because I just like Mikaela.

Speaker 3 (43:48):
Ya cool.

Speaker 4 (43:49):
Listen, that's my sister for life. But in someone of
her branch thinks you can beat me, which I think
is like, you know, you think that I don't want
to show that you can't and even can go back
to being best prison again and being my sister. But
I gotta put hands on her, that's all.

Speaker 1 (44:01):
And then you know, listen, well you know I don't
like I don't like them. I don't like MVP. I
don't like none of the don't be honest, but.

Speaker 4 (44:12):
They but they do got some girls who I would
love to fight against. They got a big fight with
Shadaisha Green versus Savannah Marshall. Even though I be Savannah Marshall,
I did want to fight Savannah Marshall in the in
in America in Detroit, to be honest with you, either
in Detroit or Las Vegas at Team Mobile. But but
I do want to have a rematch against her, and

(44:35):
I want to fight against the winner of those two girls.

Speaker 1 (44:37):
You know, I don't listen, you think she's gonna win Green.
She's from Pattison.

Speaker 4 (44:43):
I got a lot of love for I got a
lot of love for Jersey and Patterson and whatever. But
it's like, man, stop she she she ain't like that
for real. She would like that in the amateurs. But
I don't know what. I don't know what happened when
you turned pro. I don't know if it's the wait
because your day she used to fight at a heavier
weight class. She used to walk around the back one
night back of the Amages when I was born her
when I was one fifty something. So now that she's

(45:05):
what was she fighting at one sixty eight? Yeah, yep,
I don't know. She just I'm not gonna call it
the way I think. Just some people don't continue to
grow in boxing. But you know, Daniel Perkins pieced up Day,
Shagreen and the Amages. I would leave twice. I didn't
know that Daniel Perkins put belts to ass to today
chagree now, don'might will talk about that, but that's the truth.
But I mean, listen, any of these girls who want

(45:28):
fight like I want to.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
I want to make the fight. You know what I'm saying,
I want to make you you don't run from nothing?

Speaker 5 (45:34):
Nah, well you open to making the fights with Jake
Paul because MVP is like, you know, he's signing everybody
like Sugar in the nineties right now, He's just signing everything, Like,
are you open to that?

Speaker 3 (45:44):
Like working together?

Speaker 1 (45:46):
It's somebody like working against I am.

Speaker 4 (45:49):
I am willing to to prove that I can be
anybody on anybody on his roster, and that probably would
feel really good.

Speaker 1 (45:57):
Okay, that's all that like.

Speaker 4 (45:59):
It's not a thing of yeah. I mean, yeah, we
would have to communicate, but but I have a team.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
Who he would have to work with.

Speaker 4 (46:05):
All I have to do is prepare for the fight.
So I want to make the biggest and best fights
in women's boxing. And if a fight with me and
one of his boxing yeah, if one of his fighters
make sense and we can make it happen, then let's go.
But what they were trying to offer me to fight
on the undercard of their fight coming up versus Shagreen,

(46:27):
it's not even half of what I make already. And
then they want me to be the co main event.
Now the thing is right, and I want to say
this to respect to the to the other girls on
the card, because everybody know I got a lot of
love from man Torno, a lot of love for Alicia.
But I'm gonna like we have been friends, we're not friends,

(46:48):
and we're friends again. You know how it is, We're
women whatever.

Speaker 1 (46:50):
We all got feelings. But what the heck?

Speaker 4 (46:55):
I was saying, where's we going with this? Would you
ask me? It's no, no, no, no. So I was saying,
if Jake Paul wanted to have been so disrespectful the.

Speaker 1 (47:07):
Way that he was and quote a conversation where he
was calling her to quote and saying, and this is.

Speaker 4 (47:14):
The thing, right that people get misconstrued. I shared that
title with Amanda because of my respect for her and
how long she had been in a game. And I
call her little quote because she fights at the smaller
weight classes, right, and me and her had that understood.

Speaker 1 (47:31):
But excuse me, when she.

Speaker 4 (47:33):
Signed to Jake, he just came in. Was like thinking,
he can just come over and take over my whole
brand and just erase me. This is the real greatest
woman of all time. This is the one right here,
Oh Chris, she was yeah, whatever, but Amanda SURROUNDO and
I was like, oh shit, you know, and I was like,
that's where the disrespect came in for me. And I

(47:55):
reached out to Amanda about it before I went public
and just blasted them. I'm like, amen, get your get
your team in order, because me and you was cool, right,
get your team in order. But when it got to
the point tonight, now not only has he been respectful,
but now you also like he has admitted now like yeah,
Clearics is the best, and she got all these accolades,
but nobody likes her, Like, no, you don't like me,

(48:15):
and I don't like you either.

Speaker 1 (48:17):
So the person is mutual. Feeling is mutual. But if
if he wouldn't have came out the gate like that,
and he would have came out, oh.

Speaker 4 (48:28):
These are two great women fighters. These are the best
right here. Who knows who's the best because they haven't
fought against each other, But we would love to, you know,
bring all these girls together, make the biggest fights whatever whatever.
I would have been willing to fight on a fight
the comin event.

Speaker 1 (48:41):
Right, but he messed it up by yeah disrespectful.

Speaker 4 (48:44):
Yeah, like don't don't respect me. And then I think
he took offense to that so that I said that
I would never fight on the undercart of him. I
don't think a man of surround should ever fought the
undercard of him, Right, it is what it is. But
it was like it wasn't no, not to him. But
it's like me, it's only a couple fighters who I'm
gonna who I will fight the undercart over I mean
the undercard and that is the comin event to a

(49:06):
Terrence Crawford, a Canelo, a Earl Spence, a Deontay Wilder.
Ooh sick it new like champions. Yeah, you have to
be a male champion or even a woman, but like, uh,
you have to be a champion. I'm not gonna fight
on the undercart of I don't know a professional YouTuber.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
You right about that?

Speaker 3 (49:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (49:25):
And July twenty sixth, do you know already who's walking
you out?

Speaker 4 (49:29):
Girl?

Speaker 2 (49:29):
I can't tell y'all my secret to tell me, But
do you already know you already had that lined up?

Speaker 4 (49:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (49:35):
Well I didn't.

Speaker 4 (49:35):
I it's lined up now, but it's gonna be performance
it It's gonna be a great walk out it's gonna
be a great It's gonna be a great It's gonna
be a great fight.

Speaker 2 (49:45):
Y'all.

Speaker 4 (49:45):
We been doing so good on ticket sales for the
fight already.

Speaker 1 (49:47):
If you bat to get yours, by the way, okay
us on Ticketmaster.

Speaker 4 (49:51):
It's on Ticketmaster. And listen, we got nineteen thousand seats.
I need everybody who know me, get ten of your
friends and all y'all get tickets together, and we gonna
have a Detroit parking lot party.

Speaker 3 (50:03):
I'm bringing my thirdst time.

Speaker 5 (50:04):
Last time I had, everybody had.

Speaker 1 (50:10):
I'm not lying.

Speaker 4 (50:11):
Everybody's like YO, were wearing our first. I'm like July lie,
you know, like fight week, I'm coming. I'm coming, trim.
I'm talking about hair, make up, close heels.

Speaker 1 (50:27):
I'm stunting all week.

Speaker 4 (50:28):
Listen.

Speaker 1 (50:28):
I love fight Week. I get to show how pretty
I am and how tough I am the same Dawn week.

Speaker 4 (50:32):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (50:33):
I can't wait to do it again. Do you feel
like now that the blogs have been posting you so much,
like relationship wise, that you stepping out even more into
like the styling and the makeup and all of that.

Speaker 4 (50:44):
Well, I'm thirty, So when you turn thirty, you kind
of come into your woman are anyway. But I don't
know where all these girls got that I that I
couldn't dress. Before the comments, I thought it was crazy
because it was like them girls don't even look better
than me, they don't dress better than me, they don't
got more money than me, but they talking about me.
And let's be clear. I wear what I want to

(51:06):
wear because that makes me comfortable. That's what I feel
pretty in. And guess what, pep love how I dress.
I put these pants on that he said, Damn girl, girl,
he said what I mean?

Speaker 3 (51:17):
Okay, gold love. That's gold love. Gold love in the building,
y'all at.

Speaker 1 (51:26):
Home, don't look too hard. Okay.

Speaker 4 (51:28):
So it's like long as my numbers, I like what
I wear, and my man like how I dress.

Speaker 1 (51:33):
That's that's what it is.

Speaker 4 (51:35):
But it's like, I've never said that I'm a fashionista.
You need to look to me for fashion advice and
you should wear what I wear. I've never in my
life say that I whooped bitches ass that I'm a fighter.

Speaker 1 (51:48):
I'm a boxer. I don't know where they got this.
I don't care if don't nobody.

Speaker 4 (51:53):
Like how I dress. If I don't buy something and
I like it, and I look at the mirror and say, oh,
that looks good. I'm gonna wear it, and I'm gonna
be and I'm gonna feel good in it, and I'm
gonna take pictures and I'm gonna post them. So I
don't know why people think that I care about their opinions.
It was like, first of all, don't let nobody ever
trick you out your spot. One, I've already had a stylist.
That's the first part. I've had a Styllis since last year.

(52:18):
That's one. Two I was I was already looking at
getting me another stylist so I can have two. I'm
the Beyonce of boxing. Do you know how many stylists
that Beyonce like that, like different stylists for different purposes.
So for me, I feel like they tried to troll
me into not looking at getting a different stylist because

(52:41):
I was already had that on my mind. But it
was like, I have a stylist when I go to
red carpet events and events like like this, like when
I come and sit down with you, and it's gonna
be pictures and it's gonna be everywhere. I have stylist
for that, but I've never had a stylist for more
at home stuff, so I have another stylist for that,
And it just was like I hadn't found her yet,
but I was working on it because you out here

(53:04):
with a whole celebrity. Not only am I out of celebrity,
but Papa celebrity too, And sometime we just be flying everywhere,
like just going place and it's like I don't get
to have all my clothes, all my shoes, my hair stuff.
I don't have all my stuff, Like were trying to
go to the store. I'm look, I gotta grab something
to wear. I don't got no more clothes, shoes. What

(53:24):
are we doing today?

Speaker 1 (53:25):
We don't even be knowing like what we're doing.

Speaker 4 (53:27):
We like we just be out and people are grabbing
pictures and photos and it was like, oh, I know
that that's about to make it somewhere, but I didn't
even I just threw some stuff together because we were
moving around type stuff, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (53:41):
So who made the first move for the two of you,
Like who was the first person to move that from
that friendship to like something more.

Speaker 4 (53:51):
No, it was path for sure, It's path for sure.
Because so we met July sixth Attra Court fight.

Speaker 3 (53:56):
Okay, just crazy New Jersey.

Speaker 4 (53:59):
Yeah, okay, So I met a man and when we
took our first picture, it started going I've seen the
blogs then talking about some day we were.

Speaker 1 (54:08):
Potentially I was his girlfriend.

Speaker 4 (54:09):
I was like, we I don't even.

Speaker 1 (54:10):
Know this dude. Yeah, they kind of will well.

Speaker 4 (54:15):
I had invited him to come to my fight July
twenty seven. He was already fan. He had he has
a video where he had watching Sam and A Marshall
and he was cheering for me and stuff like that,
and we just kind of just like started off his
like you know, friends talking and everything like that, and
I don't know, I think I think I don't know,
you know how, you know how you just be like

(54:36):
testing it out. And I was like, I think it
was something.

Speaker 1 (54:39):
Let's see if she catch it. Yeah New York, right,
think he called me here something and I'm like, of me,
I'm like, nah, but I only said no because it
was like I thought it was.

Speaker 4 (54:52):
I thought it was just cool or whatever, you know
what I'm saying. And then I don't know, like he's
very like funny and sarcastic too, so I think I
sent the picture of me like my bob, which makes
me look very very.

Speaker 1 (55:02):
Different, and he was like, who the hell is this.

Speaker 4 (55:05):
I'm like, oh, you just called me a catfish.

Speaker 1 (55:07):
He like, no, you look you.

Speaker 4 (55:09):
Look very very pretty right here? Whatever whatever, oh, thank you,
and then I was like hmm oh shoot. And I
think I think from there, I think he was like, hey,
after your fight. I was like, take you out to eat?
And I was like for what, mmm to eat for
He was like he's just talking and I was like okay.

(55:32):
And the fact that I was keen to it, I'm like, yeah,
you already know what it is because he's very private.
So anything you ask him over over text, he's not
gonna say nothing, like he just like overlook it. And
then but he like me and you talk about that
in person? Everything was everything was in person, in person,
in person. And my thing that come with like, you know,
him being more experienced than everything when it comes to

(55:53):
being a celebrity or whatever, because I'm more completely different.

Speaker 1 (55:56):
Than him, your whole heart out.

Speaker 4 (56:00):
I mean, you guys know, I'm just open with the
I just go live. I posted every I feel I'm
not gonna.

Speaker 1 (56:06):
An open book different.

Speaker 4 (56:07):
Yeah, but it's like he like, he ain't like that
at all. So we end up going to eat and
talking and stuff, and I was like, oh yeah, all
right cool.

Speaker 1 (56:15):
And then you and then you said I like him
like a ready, okay.

Speaker 3 (56:20):
We ate that.

Speaker 1 (56:24):
It was a soulful spot.

Speaker 4 (56:26):
I can't remember the name of it in New Jersey.

Speaker 1 (56:29):
No, I think it was in Manhattan. Manhattan.

Speaker 3 (56:31):
Listen, I hear that. Take it to go eat some
soul fold. Yeah, y'all hear that.

Speaker 2 (56:38):
Well, listen, I know that. Well, we're trying to come
out there, so I think I'm gonna make it happen.

Speaker 1 (56:43):
Already put it on my calendar.

Speaker 4 (56:44):
You know. Try and girl, I'm coming.

Speaker 1 (56:46):
I don't want to raise this. I'm coming like Curi's
the come back.

Speaker 4 (56:51):
You're gonna be like, well, when you want to come
back anyway, what I'm saying, You're gonna be like, crit's
to come back and tell me about it. But you
were like, you want to know what it's like to
actually beat. I'm telling you I'm gonna be that.

Speaker 1 (57:01):
I'm gonna be there. It's different.

Speaker 2 (57:03):
Oh, maybe I need to do like something that j
I'll b I'll come out there on the radio because
you know, we're on JLB and Detroit, okay, every day,
so maybe the week of the fight, I should come
out there.

Speaker 1 (57:14):
All right, we're gonna do some things. Y'all, come off,
come out everything, come on, So look for me.

Speaker 3 (57:18):
I'll beat a tall brother with the furrow in the summertime.

Speaker 4 (57:22):
Crazy with the book a hat.

Speaker 2 (57:24):
But again, the fight is going down at Little Sesus Arena.
It's July twenty six. Also, make sure y'all wants to
bet awards for when she wins her Sportswoman of the
Year award. She was nominated for speaking it into existence
and congratulations on everything.

Speaker 1 (57:39):
Every single time I see you, I have to say that,
thank you.

Speaker 4 (57:41):
I appreciate you so much, Angela for you.

Speaker 2 (57:43):
Know, I appreciate you being here. They always be like, well,
you know, she don't want to talk about but you
always talk about everything. You are an open book, so
I like that too.

Speaker 4 (57:51):
At least I try to get you off stuff to
Y'll get y'all, little, y'all.

Speaker 1 (57:53):

all right, this way a
