Than it was when it started last year.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
I think that's good though, Like this it's like a
right now, it's kind of like a mini essence festival.
But I see how much it's growing. And everyone was there.
It was everything was sold out. They had concerts every week, Saturday,
it was Friday and Saturday nice and I think maybe
even yeah, and Sunday also they had events. But it
was it was amazing. I had such a good time.

Of course, Philly Eilish.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
All right, So and may know you have a great
backstory also, That's what I'm saying. I think that it
translates when you can have music and then people can
relate to your backstory. Indeed, and so you'll hear history
and it's it's quite interesting and they listen on TikTok.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
He's got these.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
Dances that I like that song though with the Norri beats, yep,
exactly exactly. We're gonna ask him all about that when

on the mothers that lost sons, sons that lost mothers. Yep,
young young daughters that became young mothers, you know, and everybody.
You know, I lost my mother, so you know, I
spent my day kind of like just reflecting and just chilling.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
And you know that's and I have to say, because
Jasmine was talking about that, that we have to also
keep in mind that there's people who have lost their moms.
As people are celebrating Mother's Day, we saw a lot
of posts. It makes you also appreciate, right, you know,
while she's here, So shout out to everybody. Mother's they
mean something different to a lot of people. I know,
we just had Scarlet on here. I think it's her

the honest way, low fie. You know he wasn't trying

when we come back, we have here, ye t. Let's
give you guys an update on Jamie Fox. All right,
there's been all kinds of different claims. We'll tell you
what the family is saying, and a new announcement. It's
way up at Angela yee shure.

Speaker 9 (06:25):
She about to blow the lid ab off this spot.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Let's get it.

Speaker 8 (06:28):
Oh yeah, Angela's feeling that yeete, come.

Speaker 9 (06:30):
And get the tea.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
Yes, it's way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee
and a maino is and we are doing yet. Let's
start off with Jamie Fox. Okay. There were some reports
circulating about Jamie Fox's condition. They said that he was
not doing well and to prepare for the worst. Well,
Daily Loud has apologized right. They were one of the

(06:52):
platforms that put that out. They said, we unfortunately thought
the source we have was real, but it was not.
Wey are sorry to Jamie and his family for our
actions and continue to wish him nothing but good health.
Sorry for letting our followers down as well. We will
do better in the future, and we'll make sure every
source is properly fact checked from here on now. Jamie
Fox's daughter Karen Fox posted update from the family sad

(07:14):
to see how the media runs wild. My dad has
been out of the hospital for weeks recuperating. In fact,
he was playing pickleball yesterday. Thanks for everyone's prayers and support.
We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too,
so he's okay, good.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
I'm not sure what pickleball is, but I'm happy he's good.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Pickleball is the new thing that everybody's doing.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
When shopping the other day, they had a whole pickleball
section in the department. It's kind of like badminton, a
little bit you have to see. But Donnelle Rawlings is
very into pickleball. People are investing in pickleball teams. Well,
that's how big of a deal it is.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
We gotta figure out tournament. No, I got to figure
it out first. But I'm just happy that he's good, though,
because it's all these fake stories running and I think
more people need.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
To you know.

Speaker 4 (07:57):
Yeah, man, And the announcement has made okay. Jamie Fox
and Corn Fox are going to be hosting a guessing
game show called We Are Family for Fox.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
That's going to premiere in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
So Jamie Fox has time to recover and relax in
the meantime, but they have announced it that's going to happen.
See brand new announcement. He's okay, all right. The Kelly
Clarkson Show has released a statement. There were some claims
that the show was a toxic environment, and there was
an ex employee who said that they were approached by
human resources in regards to investigation prompted by another colleague's complaint.

(08:34):
They said there were statements about just basically lower level
employees experiencing bad things at the set, and they use
their exit interviews to relay their negative experiences. One person
said they had a follow up call regarding to producers
unprofessional behavior, but those same people ended up receiving promotions,
according to the source. Well, Kelly Clarkson has responded to

(08:55):
that viral report. She posted a statement on Instagram that
she loved her team and find out that anyone is
feeling unheard and are disrespected on this show is unacceptable.
So that was her statement there. Committed to a safe
and respectful work environment. You know, we've been seeing this
happen a lot. People are saying that there were issues

(09:16):
we saw that were Ellen DeGeneres.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
We saw that a lot of different people.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
So whatever is going on, if there is anything, now
is the time to fix it, all right. Little Wayne
had the last final show of his Welcome to the
car To tour that was in LA on Saturday, and
he ended things abruptly. Now they said he was more
than an hour late, an hour later than the scheduled
start time. He played for about thirty minutes, and he
left the stage and let some of the members of

(09:39):
the Young Money label come up and perform. That included
Little Twist Alan Cubis And here's what he said, because
he thought the crowd was very lackluster.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
We appreciate where.

Speaker 7 (09:51):
We've worked to for.

Speaker 9 (09:53):
Way too long.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
That was a grea, he said, We're not about to
be bending over backwards.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
We stopped playing with Lil Wayne Man. That's Swayne. He
could do whatever you want to do.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
Well, you know he was late, so that already has
people a little like it is Wayne. But then I
guess they were upset that after thirty minutes he's off the.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Stage and he let and he let he let his
little homies eat.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
But you know where he should have stayed up there
with them. I think that's that would help if you
want to really like so he.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
Left the stage and let them perform.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
Yes, he left the stage to let let them perform.
They like, Yo, you late, you left the stage. That's
how you really lift them up, Like you got to
be there too and keep the energy going.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
And you know Wayne could do no wrong. He didn
hype man, Wayne Man. What were we talking about?

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Well, you know he said, we're not bending over backwards
for y'all.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
And is your yet?

Speaker 4 (10:43):
When we come back, we have about last night. That's
what we did last night. I know you were in
dr I was in Atlanta. Will talk about its way?
I put it into a yee last night.

Speaker 9 (10:52):
So about last night?

Speaker 13 (10:54):
Last night?

Speaker 9 (10:55):
Last night I went down.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
Yes, it is way. I put it into the yee.
I'm angela yee and Mano is here.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
I'm back.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
Mayo's back from the Dominican Republic. Did you have a
good time?

Speaker 1 (11:05):
I had a great time.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
It was my brother Gig's birthday. Okay, shout out the
gigs from London from Peckham.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Was it a guide trip like a guys trip?

Speaker 1 (11:12):
It was the homies, you know, homies from London, homies
from Brooklyn.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
What do guys do on guys trips?

Speaker 1 (11:18):
Hang out? Okay? What does that entail?

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Like?

Speaker 4 (11:22):
I want to know, is it safe for me to
let my man go on a guys trip?

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Is that I should just balance balance him out?

Speaker 3 (11:28):
You shouldn't let him go ladies, you know, stay away
from the conversations where you had a problem with your men.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Going on God's trips?

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Okay, because balance, that felt like men do different things
than women do when we go on our trips, Like
what y'all do.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Like we go on our trips.

Speaker 4 (11:42):
We like to lay out at the pool all day,
have a couple of drinks, and then maybe go to
the club or maybe not. Maybe we don't want to
do anything at all.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
We want an atv jet ski, get on the boat.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
We want to do the sages, we want to get
face shows, we.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Want to do like spy days.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
But I think it's important that you should allow your
man to go, you know, on a guy's trip.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
Okay, once in a while.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
What if the guys he's with our single is that
dangerous problem?

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Though? I'm just asking, So you want him to stay
and be miserable.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
You said you were miserable going.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
I don't want to go to d y'all.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
I actually think it's good to be like, go on
the trip because.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
You miss me, right, balance, and you don't want me
You don't want a guilt trip.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
Then around were smiling like that's not true.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
He will miss me.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Right, but you don't want a guilt trip him, And
then he turned around and say, you know what, I'm
not going right, and then he stayed just because he
was trying to pease you.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
Now, I would never tell him he couldn't go, But
this is for all the ladies that on a trip
of Mano. I'm a good guy. I'm one of the
good guys. All right, go ahead, I'm one of the
good guys.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
I've seen some photos.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Yo, this is what I'm saying.

Speaker 9 (12:55):
You ain't no good. You're really not no good.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Yeah, no, I'm a good guy. You should you should
allow you guy to hang out.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
And certain people You're like, I don't know if I
win him on a guy's tip with him.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
Listen, we had homies from London, homies from Brooklyn, okay,
and homies from cancers. There are no women around, definitely
women okay of coursest women, but it's dall. It's always
that mean. Women are plentiful.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
Okay, So how do y'all just meet girls in dr
How does that happen?

Speaker 1 (13:25):
You go hang out?

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Shout out to my man lows he living in d'all,
so he always take take care of me.

Speaker 4 (13:31):
I feel like women on like when we go on
girls tips, we don't want no guys at the house
because we don't feel safe, you know, like I'm not
just letting nobody come over here.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Right you should, Yeah, you shouldn't.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
You should not Like we might go, I have a
good time that stay with each other. And we also
have a rule we cannot leave each other. Like we
go together, we leave together. We'll responsor to the who's
that guy.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
That you're talking to? Like whoa we block it? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Be responsible, no guys, you know, guys need that violence.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
All right, Well, I'll tell you what I did over
the weekend while you went that, and then.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
You're not no good.

Speaker 9 (14:06):
You're not no good.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
I was doing responsible things.

Speaker 4 (14:11):
I was at the strength of a woman's summit that
was put on by Mary J. Blige in Atlanta, and
I had a great time. I actually moderated a panel.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Of course, you did what I did. We did lip service,
always on a panel or getting on it.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
But what I have to say is what was fun
for me was we did lip service live out there
and on my panel was the former mayor Keisha Land's
bottoms okay, and she enjoyed it.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Was a conversation.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
She's never I feel like had these types because it
wasn't just about business.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
Yes, j Cargo was there.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
You know, she's undefeated pro wrestler ae W undefeated by
the way, I think she's fifty seven and oh okay,
all right, broke all kinds of records for men and women.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
And Meghan hosting Alexander.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
She is the founder of a company, a tech company,
A sixteen Z for investors, and so the conversation was
a lot about relationships, balancing different.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Things, you know, just a lot.

Speaker 7 (15:07):
It was fine.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
So tell us what she likes kind of really yeah,
kind of interesting, kind of and how she keeps it spicy, Okay,
in the bedroom.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
It is her spicy, real spicy. She was medium spicy.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
She was good the way that she you know, was
able to maneuver. And her mom was there too, and
that's the good thing. It was Mother's Day, so a
lot of people with their moms out with them for
the summit. But I feel like every year this is
going to be something that is going to continue to grow.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
People loved it.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
We had a great time, nice and everyone was there.
So we'll get more into that. But when we come back,
we have tell us a secret.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Yeah we're in dr I can't tell you that secret.
We know, we know who not to tell a secret?

Speaker 1 (15:46):
To tell you secret to me?

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Fifty tell man know your secret?

Speaker 14 (15:51):

Speaker 4 (16:11):

Speaker 2 (16:15):
You don't like when I judge you?

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Yeah, but you know not how to stop. You're never
gonna stop though, so judging you?

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Yeah, that's not true. I don't judge you.

Speaker 3 (16:23):

Speaker 6 (18:11):
How are you good morning?

Speaker 12 (18:13):
And jel are you doing today?

Speaker 2 (18:15):
I'm good. You want to say good morning to Mayno.
Two so he doesn't judge you.

Speaker 13 (18:18):
Okay, good morning, May.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
I'm not gonna judge you. Ba.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
So what is your secret today?

Speaker 4 (18:24):
Oh boy?

Speaker 6 (18:25):
I have four children by my best friend's father.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Wide huh no, no, okay, this is all in all
fin theority.

Speaker 6 (18:36):
She wants me the godmorther there all four of my children.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
So but she knows that that's her.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
But nope, I don't understand how she doesn't.

Speaker 6 (18:45):
Okay, Okay, here we go. We were in college and
his wife passed away. So when his wife passed away,
I went home with her. After a while, her father
would you know.

Speaker 11 (18:59):
Call me?

Speaker 6 (19:00):
But like, he called her first and talked with her,
and then he called me and talk with me. And
so we got to talking one night and he was
asking me like, you know, what kind of a man
do you like? So on and so forth, and you know,
I just told high felt or whatever, and he told me,
he said, just to let you know I've liked you
for a minute. And I'm like when he went for

(19:20):
a minute, No, I wasn't under any and when when
he's when he was talking about he was like, say
five minutes.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
I just meant before that, but okay, go ahead, right.

Speaker 6 (19:28):
So anyway, so he would do little things for me,
like for Christmas. One year, my car was messed up
and she told her dad about it, and he was like,
if she needs her car seats, I can either get
the kicks so I can help her get a new car.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
Okay, So got the car all right?

Speaker 2 (19:46):
Then four kids?

Speaker 1 (19:51):
How did how did that happen?

Speaker 6 (19:53):
Well, the first one was really unexpected. But anyway, so
her father, her father is like.

Speaker 4 (19:59):
Me, okay, and then his so his daughter is the
godmother to all four of the kids. Who does she
think the kids are by?

Speaker 6 (20:08):
I actually relied and told her that I had gone
to a sperm.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Base for all four. Yeah, do you ever want to
tell her?

Speaker 6 (20:16):
Well, he and I have actually talked about that.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
Are y'all together and the father because four kids is
like together, right together?

Speaker 6 (20:23):
We're not the other per se.

Speaker 13 (20:26):
We still see together.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
Y'all gonna wind.

Speaker 11 (20:30):
More, right?

Speaker 3 (20:31):
No?

Speaker 7 (20:31):
No, no, no, no, no no.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
But maybe y'all would be together if it wasn't a secret.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
Yeah, four, you can have eight?

Speaker 6 (20:38):
Do you you don't want eight?

Speaker 9 (20:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Four, you can have eight? Do you want to be
with him?

Speaker 3 (20:42):
I do?

Speaker 11 (20:43):
I really do.

Speaker 13 (20:44):
I know he really wants to be with me.

Speaker 6 (20:46):
I guess you could say in a way, we're we're
protecting her because I do. I love her like my
sister for real, I mean, do anything for her. Then
she found out she couldn't have any.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
Kids, so and really those kids, she's their sister, right,
that's right, right, yeah right.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
She might be happy for you guys, but she's gonna
hate the fact that you all didn't tell her.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
But her siblings real you should be with them, and
then y'all just be one happy family.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Have a threesome.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
You know you're not going. No, I'm not even the
one that says that.

Speaker 15 (21:27):
I'm not.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
But thank you for sharing with us. I wish you
the best of luck, though.

Speaker 6 (21:33):
I wish the luck, but you all have a blessed
and happy.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
Day, except for Mana, thank you.

Speaker 16 (21:44):
She's not going on men, you did wrong my playing
with you.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
You didn't even say it.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
No, I'm not even one to say say that I
could have made what she was saying.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
But she's no Mayo, may No, you gotta lead these
people alone.

Speaker 4 (22:11):
Oh all right, well, since we're talking about all these
things that you recommend, let's talk about Lotta when we
come back, and what Jamaine Dupre had to say, what
happened to her after the Rap Game. It's way up
at Angela yea, yea. T's next, they say in.

Speaker 9 (22:25):
The rooms, from industry shade to all of gossip out.
Angela's feeling that.

Speaker 4 (22:30):
Yet, Yes, it's way up with Angela ye Angela yee.
And Mano is here new Mano and it's time for
that yeet.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
All right now.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
Jamain Dupre recently did an interview with Hip Hop DX
and he talked about Lotto. You know, people always asking
him about Lotto because she was on the Rap Game
when she was young and she actually won. And here's
what he had to say about Lotto's I guess growing
up in her new image.

Speaker 15 (22:55):
Always saying, Jamaine, you dropped the ball on Melatto. The
deal was if you win on the rap game, you
get a single from Jermaine Duprix on Social Death.

Speaker 9 (23:05):
That single came out.

Speaker 15 (23:06):
The problem was is that Lotto was sixteen years old
and the outlets didn't support it, so people didn't start
talking about Lotto tissues, started making more boga records, dressing
more sexual, being an adult. So it made me be like, damn,
so is these kids not accepted?

Speaker 2 (23:24):
What are your thoughts on that?

Speaker 1 (23:27):
It may be some truth to that because that also
grew up.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
I mean part of it is that at sixteen is
a weird a iss too, because like in a couple
of years, you more of an adult, you know, like
we saw it like with with Halle and Chloe, Like
Chloe Halle, when they were younger, they had a different
type and now they've grown up.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
Right, So do we really want to hear sixteen year
old kiddie rap from Little Girls? I think that it
may be a fan base for that with Little Girls, right, right,
But when you grow up and your music becomes a
little bit more provocative, I think men start to tap in,
other women identify with that, and then you.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
Lit Also, Lotto doesn't only do that.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
No, she doesn't. Right, she had that sound that I
love sunshine.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
That's my joint, right, right, I don't think.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
I don't think her music is strictly provocative, right, she
got lines with she talking, but you know she's rapping.
But she's given her image is a little bit more
more grown up, a little bit more mature.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Right, and major prix.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Also, his specialty is working with kids.

Speaker 4 (24:23):
I feel like, is it well, I think that's the
only thing he did all he did, but he's been
really good in that lane. That's why he even did
this show, The Rap Game, right, I mean, just think
about his history about with Crisscross, with the franchise Wow.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
And yeah, franchise Boys wasn't kids though they were younger though.

Speaker 4 (24:42):
I think I felt like when he first started working
with them in the twenties, I don't know, I thought
they were younger than that. But yes, but I do
feel like he does well in that lane. Some people
were straight away from that, but he it seems like
that's his thing too.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
So he's saying it basically didn't work until she became
a little bit more mature, started to speak in a
certain kind of way and look a certain kind of way.

Speaker 4 (25:03):
I just thought about it because I look at Janew
Monnet right, and now she's right, and people have a
real issue with her being different than how she used
to be that, Oh, she used to wear the suits.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
I was surprised I seen it live. I didn't.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
I didn't know in the video, but I didn't know.
I went to her party and then she had on
a bikini, and I was like, she used to wear suits.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
Right, right, But now I guess that's a long time
ago too, and then sometimes people get more comfortable with
their sexuality. Yeah, so this should be to talk to
Jene Monee about that because she is gonna we are
going to discuss it with her.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Yeah, all right now.

Speaker 4 (25:37):
Gabrielle Union was on Idea Generation Shout out to my
guy Noah. He did a sit down interview with her,
and she was talking about a lot of different things.
And I feel like a lot of us have this
issue becoming successful and having to still worry about when
is that next gig coming? Could the money all go
away if you didn't come from money. Sometimes those are
the things that you always think about. Right, Here's what
she had to say about that.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
I struggle with that.

Speaker 17 (25:58):
I think I just have more responsibilities for my money,
and I'm trying to find peace in the journey, not
using my anxiety and scarcity mindset to be my engine,
which is hard. It's weird to say I'm head of
household because in this household we split everything fifty to fifty.
But in the other household set each of us have

(26:19):
to support. There's always this like gorilla on your back
that it is like you better work.

Speaker 4 (26:25):
I like how in some outlets the headline was Gabrielle
Union splits everything fifty to fifty, Like come on.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Guys, stop it. Yeah, stop it. They came to agreement
and she always everything to that right, fifty to fifty.
Then she has us, he has his, and he came
to agreement.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
M All right now, Michael Jackson brought the Michael Jackson
Musical MD.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
Have you seen that yet?

Speaker 2 (26:49):
No, I'm gonna get your tickets. You got to go
to see that.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
You're gonna love. Yes, it's on Broadway.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
MJ the musical so far that has already recouped its
money the investment that they got, So that's it's a
twenty two point five million dollar production and it opened
in theaters February first, of twenty twenty two, and so
it has already made back the money and that's not
an easy thing for a Broadway production.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
You will enjoy it, Sofia, I do want to go.
That's a good joy.

Speaker 5 (27:14):
Go with me.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
Who's gonna go with me? All right? Well hit him
up in his DMS. We're gonna get two tickets for
somebody to go with Menos. Secret all right.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
So that was your ut.

Speaker 4 (27:24):
And when we come back, we have under the radar.
These are the stories that are not necessarily headline news stories.
They are flying under the radar, and we want to
make sure you know about them. It's way up with Angela.

Speaker 8 (27:32):
Yeeyeh news. This in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
Yes, it is way up with Angela.

Speaker 12 (27:40):
Yee.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
I'm Angela yee. And Meno is here yep, yep.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Nie.

Speaker 4 (27:43):
My best friend I just have Menos so disgusted. I
was showing him video of the fact that we all
have these face mits on us.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
I've been noticing those and.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
This isn't under the radar story. There's no way that
you notice this.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
I've been seen that you have face mightso now, actually
they're helpful for you, but we all have them.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
I see yours.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
I told you yours's just falling.

Speaker 4 (28:04):
Like scientists scraped a black dot on his forehead and
this has been something that is not a secret, but
people may not know about it. And then he put
it under a microscope and there were dozens of crawling
face mites. One of the videos we saw, they had glue.
They stuck it to a strip and then they pulled off,
you know, a little bit of your skin, and then
you can see all of these little face mites.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
And they live on all mammals.

Speaker 4 (28:27):
So if you haven't heard of them, A lot of
people haven't heard of them, but they live their entire
lives on your body and eventually they die and decompose
all in the pores on your face.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
You didn't show me the video with the scientists though, with.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
The whole Oh yes, well, he scraped a little thing
off his face. I was just showing you other videos
of it. But there's there aren't all mammals, And supposedly
these are good for you, right, I guess they kind
of like they stay in your pores except at night,
and that's when they come out to find other other
mites to mate with, and they say, the good thing
is that they don't have so they don't deficate. Yeah,

(29:01):
they don't defecate, it said. And by the way, mano,
these mites are having sex on your face.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
While it didn't say that, Yes it did, did not.
I don't remember this right yere.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
They crawl around on your face at night.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
That's when they come out and they have a great
time visiting their friends and other hair follicles, and then
they mate with other mites, and then they go back
to your pores and lay the eggs there usually about
fifteen to twenty eggs at a time, and those eggs
hatch in three to four days.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
So that's what was going on on your forehead. No,
I noticed that on your forehead though a while ago.
I was like, dare it was all that movie?

Speaker 2 (29:31):
Yes, I see it all on you. No, but they said,
these things are our friends.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
They get rid of excess oil that we don't need,
and they also chew up dead skin and get rid
of it and they can but too much earl on
your face can cause acne in other skin conditions.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
So that's why these mites are on your face doing
you a favor.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
You scratching a little bit.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
I know is it's making me itch, But you guys
should look this up, these face mites that you all have,
and that Mano definitely has just seen.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
Some falling right now, yes, right now, just falling off.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
And another under the radar story. Let's talk about Bob Lee.
He was the founder of cash app, and remember he
was killed by one of his friends. He was fatally stabbed,
and now they are giving us more details about the
accused killer. According to reports, and this is according to
the Wall Street Journal, a cash app founder, Bobb Lee
was having an affair with his accused killer's sister, and

(30:27):
right now his accused killer is in jail on murder
charges and the fatal stabbing. They were both allegedly, according
to sources, Bob Lee and Nima Momenti. Who is who
is the person? I guess that they're saying that he
was having Wait, is Nima the killer or the friend?

Speaker 1 (30:44):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Oh yeah, so Kazer Momeni is the wife.

Speaker 4 (30:48):
Kazer Momeni is the one that he was supposedly having
the affair with, and they were allegedly part of the
same underground.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
Party circle sex party. Yes, it's called the lifestyle.

Speaker 4 (30:58):
So they're saying that court documents show that he had
known Lee for a decade and then confrontedly about his
sister prior to the stabbing.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
So what was his brother's issue?

Speaker 4 (31:09):
I guess you know, they got into it and he
was having an affair and allegedly and this is all allegations,
So we don't want to say that this is true,
but this is what friends and co workers of Bobbly
are saying to the Wall Street Journal about the late
tech executive's life. They were also saying that these are
the new possible connections between Bobby and his alleged killer
and Nima Momenting.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
All right, so we don't know.

Speaker 4 (31:33):
Again, these are just allegations as they're trying to figure
out what happened. And you said, what you got from
this whole story is what what about the lifestyle?

Speaker 1 (31:42):
Oh the parties? I need to get that off my
bucket list.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
Well, those parties are happening on your face right.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
All right?

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Well that is your under the radars, so cap.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
So cap.

Speaker 4 (31:56):
And we have Ourmani White joining us this morning, Philly's
Billie Eilish, Harmoni White's joining us. Also the Way Up
Mix at the top of the hour. It's way up
at Angela Yee. She's like the tut like they Angela Jean,
like they Angela jee Man.

Speaker 9 (32:10):
She's spilling it all. This is yet way up.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Yes, it's way up. Put Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
And Maino is yeah, still here baby, and.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
We're doing yet.

Speaker 4 (32:21):
And of course we have to talk about John Moran
today and what just happened over the weekend. On Sunday,
it went viral of him in the car he was
on live listening to NBA Young Boy Jam and now
it is boy and then he had his gun out
again in the background and it just quickly flashed by him.
But then of course everybody screenshoted that and it ended
up going viral. Now, if you guys recall back on March.

(32:44):
In March fourth, he was also caught on Instagram live
with the gun. He posted that live where he was
brandishing a gun while he was at Shotgun Willie Strip
Club in Glendale, Colorado.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
And at the time, here's what he had to say.
To take accountability.

Speaker 18 (32:59):
My phil mentally good that I haven't been in many years.
I'm in a space where I'm you know, very comfortable.
I was constantly, you know, talking to therapists. I've been
doing you know, greaky treatment. I'm doing anxiety breathing, you know,
different stuff to help me manage that and you know release, you.

Speaker 9 (33:17):
Know, all that stuff from my body. It's not who
I am.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
I don't condone and you know, any type of violence.

Speaker 18 (33:23):
But I take you know, full responsibility, you know from
my actions, made a bottom mistake.

Speaker 4 (33:28):
Well after this second video, he has been suspended by
the Grizzlies penning at NBA review of that video.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
And yeah, I mean suspend the moneties.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
Yeah, any type of activities, right.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
See, ILL don't know, I don't I don't understand, Like,
where's the where's the dudes that he respects that can
give him some real game.

Speaker 4 (33:47):
I mean, I saw a lot of people were trying
to say that they wanted to have that conversation with him.

Speaker 18 (33:52):
Now.

Speaker 4 (33:52):
Jalen Rose, who did the exclusive sit down with him
after the first incident, had this to say.

Speaker 19 (33:58):
He is twenty three, he just finish it's just fourth
year in the league, and I'm personally just glad that
social media didn't exist when I was in college or
when I was in the league. I put myself in
a lot of questionable positions and made a lot of
poor decisions like we see him making right now. So
I'm not going to talk about it like it's the

(34:18):
end for him. I think there's still a future for him.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
Oh and we did see you, Jaylen in that BMF series.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
I understand what he's saying though, because that twenty three
you make bad decisions? How many times you get gout
doing the same thing over and over and over again
and you know it's wrong? Right, Yeah, I'm saying I
gotta be honest though, Like I come from a background
where we was getting in trouble very early.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
But sometimes you have so much that you could potentially.

Speaker 4 (34:47):
Lose, and that's the difference, second chance, third chance difference.
And then it's kind of like okay, you know, And
here's what Steven A. Smith had to say, enough's enough, Jayalen.

Speaker 20 (34:58):
Yes, you've made mistakes in your life, but you didn't know,
You weren't forewarned. You lived your life, you made the mistakes,
and then ultimately you corrected them, whatever those mistakes may be.
Ja Morant was warned months ago. They let you know
eight game suspensions. Months ago, they let you know six
hundred thousand dollars months ago. You put your team in

(35:19):
jeopardy to franchise and jeopardy your future endorsement and opportunities
in jeopardy months ago, nine years ago, months ago.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Whoo, and everybody is now weighing in on this.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 4 (35:32):
NBA spokesperson My Best told The Athletic we are aware
of the social media post involving John Moran, are in
the process of gathering more information.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
I saw that a lot of people commented on social media.

Speaker 4 (35:45):
Kendrick Perkins said, Jahn Moran ain't gonna stop until he's
out the league SMH.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Steven A.

Speaker 4 (35:50):
Smith also tweeted out still hoping John Moran can figure
out whatever is going on.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
And here's what Shannon Sharp had to say.

Speaker 14 (35:56):
The best apologist changed the behavior and when he was
going through all this, I trib about what he learned
about being away from the games kept and how important
it was to him.

Speaker 9 (36:04):
I say, I see better than I hear. I heard
everything y'all said.

Speaker 14 (36:07):
Now I say, not moving forward, I'm going to see
if the behavior meets what he said.

Speaker 9 (36:12):
I'm not even upset at y'all. I'm not mad. I'm
not disappointed. I'm not embarrassed. I'm mad, I'm upset, I'm disappointed.

Speaker 14 (36:19):
I'm disgusted by the people that defended him.

Speaker 9 (36:22):
Because that's what God is here.

Speaker 14 (36:23):
It's but I need somebody to tell me the fascination
he has with guns, and to.

Speaker 4 (36:28):
Be clear, because I saw a lot of people in
the comments saying, it's not a big deal. You're allowed
to have a gun if it's licensed. What's the problem.
Everyone has a gun, and I saw people tweeting that
out also. But you just can't be all live with.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
It gun on camera on social media.

Speaker 4 (36:42):
Come on that, especially because everybody's watching you now right of.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Course you got that responsibility.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
All right now.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
Fact Joe also weighed in. Here's what he had to say.

Speaker 21 (36:52):
He's trying hard to get kicked out the NBA, and
those guys this with you, They not you people's job.
This is a problem we have with our community becoming
famous because the people around you, they like that, the
girls is watching, they loved their lifestyle, but they're not you.

Speaker 9 (37:14):
And guess what if you get thrown out of the NBA.

Speaker 4 (37:17):
These are the same.

Speaker 9 (37:18):
Guys who are gonna say yo.

Speaker 3 (37:20):
He was anyway, he needed to talk to some dudes
that was in the NBA and that made some bad.

Speaker 4 (37:25):
Decisions, right, Yeah, absolutely, I mean and I feel like
a lot of people talk to him the first time
around two and you know what else, I will say this,
I was at a game. I was at a Pistons
game right when they were playing Memphis, and he was
My friend was there and her son dressed up as
John Morant for Halloween, and so he had liked the
picture and then told him that when he came to

(37:48):
the game he was going to give him a sign jersey.
And then after the game he really came up with
the jersey. He made this kid's day, Jasmine Renee. So
you can see he's a good run.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
I think, a good dude. But I just think that
he might be fast.

Speaker 11 (38:00):
But with the.

Speaker 4 (38:03):
And I said, people also kind of blaming his friend
for being on live, like, oh, he's the police, why
is he on live? But I think John Maray it
wasn't like he sneakily was on live. And yeah, he
knew that the live was on. He knew the camera
had been going while they were in the car. The
camera Yeah, well I don't know if you put it,
but he just yeah, he just kind of held it up,

(38:23):
but you know that you're on Live and you know
your Jama Ray and you know what just happened. So
all right, well that is your yet and when we
come back, it's a Monday.

Speaker 11 (38:34):
Now.

Speaker 4 (38:34):
We don't want you to have a case of the Mondays. Instead,
we have some Monday main ovation for you, okay, to
get to inspired. That's right for the week.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
It's the way up put Angela yee.

Speaker 4 (38:44):
I'm you waylay, yes, it is way put Angela yee.
I'm Angela yee. And I bet r f Rapper friend
Meno is here. And it's a Monday. And I know
sometimes people hate Monday is because it's back to the
work week, but it's also just the time to reset,

(39:06):
and so.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
You gotta get it.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
We need our Monday mainnovation.

Speaker 1 (39:09):
Gotta get it, baby, okay. And you know I've been
I've been feeling this way for like the last week.

Speaker 3 (39:13):
Man, I've been feeling like waking up every morning free
and healthy is an underrated blessing, you understand, because somewhere, somehow, someplace,
somebody else didn't.

Speaker 1 (39:26):
Somebody else didn't. You're right.

Speaker 3 (39:28):
So the fact I think I think that we all
in our journeys kind of like take that for granted,
you know, because a lot of things that we pray
for right we living it now, even.

Speaker 4 (39:39):
Me, Like, if you're going through something right now, Monday
is a great reset day, right to be like, Okay,
that happened last week, that happened yesterday, but now it's
time to forage ahead with a new path.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
But the underlining fact is being grateful, right, gratitude the
fact that we still here, because the fact that we
still here, that we got an opportunity stepping out greatness.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
Every day, every day, every day. But money do it,
let's get it.

Speaker 4 (40:06):
It's a Monday main ovation. With all that being sad man, No,
what is your plans? It's Monday, it's a new day.
You woke up, you're healthy, you're blessed good right, fresh,
good out of.

Speaker 1 (40:18):
Dr, fresh out of dr feeling really good.

Speaker 4 (40:23):
So what's what's on the plans? Like, what do you
tell yourself? Okay, what's my main ovation this week?

Speaker 3 (40:29):
No, just stay focused and keep pushing, stay focused, keep
pushing towards my goals, keep pushing towards my dreams, and
just you know, just being.

Speaker 1 (40:39):
My flag grace self. Yeah, it's time to spark, never
give up. Ever.

Speaker 2 (40:44):
Look, Monday is a state of mind.

Speaker 3 (40:47):
It is people because people feel like, oh man, it's Monday.
It's the way you look at it. You shouldn't look
at it like that.

Speaker 1 (40:55):
And you know how I plan my weeks.

Speaker 4 (40:56):
I try to front load everything in the beginning of
the week so that like Monday is the day to
tackle everything. Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest.
Sometimes we're working on Sundays. I know for some people
they had a long weekend with family, but Monday is
that okay? Like for me, on Mondays, I have this,
I got a couple of episodes of lip service. After this,

(41:18):
I got interviews today tomorrow I have a gala tout.

Speaker 1 (41:22):
To the Coaches Foundation, getting you on a panel.

Speaker 4 (41:25):
But I made sure that, like I try to make sure,
I give myself like a day or at least at
least one day.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
Maybe sometimes too without too much.

Speaker 3 (41:33):
To do, after out too much noise. But you know
some people, well a lot of people, they so conditioned
to think of Mondays like, oh man, like and Fridays
they happy Mondays.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
They're sad with Friday.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
And I think that we got to retrain our minds
because Mondays should be a day that you got a
lot more energy.

Speaker 4 (41:53):
And I also feel like the thoughts that you have
in the morning when you wake up, right, you can
either wake up and say to yourself, Okay, today is
it's an amazing day for me to go out get
things accomplished. I'm excited, I'm happy, I'm alive, I'm healthy,
all these things to accomplish.

Speaker 1 (42:07):
Let's reset, let's get it.

Speaker 3 (42:08):
Or you could wake up and be like, oh man,
and that's exactly what you want. What you put out
this is what you're going to get back. So how
you the things that you put out there is what
you're actually gonna feel.

Speaker 4 (42:19):
Right, Yeah, So a lot of it is your mindset, right,
a positive mindset equals a positive outcome and the.

Speaker 1 (42:25):
Work with it. You can't still have a positive mindset, right,
You got to do the work. Can't just have a
you can't just be talking and not doing it.

Speaker 4 (42:32):
All right, Well, listen, it is a Monday, and we
are going to have an interview with Philly's own Aremiani White.
He's actually signed a deaf jam nice yes, and you
know his son Billie Eilish is a huge song but
people love him like on TikTok and everything.

Speaker 2 (42:46):
But in his past, just before he got to where
he is right now because he's young.

Speaker 4 (42:50):
He's like twenty five or he's twenty six years old,
so he's still really young. But he's been through, when
I tell you, a lot, and he's very open about it.
But you know, we're gonna get to hear some of
the stories of things that he's been through. And yes,
on a Monday, Monday mainnovation, our Mini White is coming
up shortly. You're gonna love his main ovations as well.

(43:12):
That's what it feels like. It's a mainnovation type of thing.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
Yeah, I like that, all right.

Speaker 4 (43:16):
It's way yup put Angela yee and our money White's next, Yes, okay.

Speaker 9 (43:24):
Ye back at it in the way up with Angela
is on.

Speaker 1 (43:30):
Yes, it is way up.

Speaker 2 (43:31):
Put Angela yee. I'm Angela yee. Mano is it way up?

Speaker 4 (43:34):
Is fresh back from the Dominican Republic. He got the
shades on. Still still got your shades on?

Speaker 1 (43:41):
Man, feeling good, great time, man, shout out to my
brother Gigs. Happy birthday, Happy birthday, Gigs.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
And we're talking about John Morant.

Speaker 4 (43:48):
Still I know this is a carryover from yet, but
I see that a lot of people are chiming in,
and I don't think this is not going to be
a headline news story for quite some time, because when
he finally speaks, that's going to make it be another
headline news story. And when we find out what the
league decides to do, because right now they're investigating, that's
going to be a whole other issue.

Speaker 1 (44:05):
Right Indeed, it's gonna be a lot to talk about
it now.

Speaker 4 (44:09):
Michael Wilbin also had some things to say because he's
wondering when are all these endorsements gonna stop for him?

Speaker 2 (44:15):
And he has his own opinion, and here's what he
had to say, because what's.

Speaker 1 (44:17):
Gonna happen now, Ni he gonna pull that shoe?

Speaker 9 (44:20):
Is Power are.

Speaker 1 (44:21):
Gonna pull that drink? I know in my house, I
told Matthew, you can't have the shoe. I'm not buying
that shoe. You're not buying that shoe. Our money as
a family's not going toward that.

Speaker 17 (44:31):
Ooh.

Speaker 4 (44:31):
He's like, I'm not even buying my son your shoe.
And that's the thing too, right, because you know, with
these different brands, I remember it was an issue with
the Power a commercial and all of that previously.

Speaker 3 (44:43):
So now what happens to be definitely gonna be a
problem because who's going to keep endorsing somebody that keeps doing.

Speaker 4 (44:49):
The same thing right, And of course Stephen A. Smith is,
I mean he's still going. Here's what Stephen A. Smith
had to say about this is not like you're getting
caught out there. You're doing this yourself, right.

Speaker 20 (45:00):
It's one thing for you to do stupid, idiotic, irresponsible things.
It's another thing for you to catch yourself. This is
not TMZ or somebody else. Find a video in March
that stuff was on John Moran's own Instagram account yesterday.
It was one of his boys sitting right next to
him putting it on Instagram.

Speaker 1 (45:21):
Lot you can't make this up. Huh yeah, can't make
it up. Just irresponsible doing it yourself, That's what I'm saying.
I would like to see who he talks to.

Speaker 3 (45:34):
You need somebody to talk to, somebody that he respects.
See that's a different thing. See people seel like you
need to talk to OG's and people have been through
things that he'd been through. But you got to talk
to somebody that you absolutely respect.

Speaker 9 (45:45):
Like his father.

Speaker 4 (45:46):
I wonder his father saying to him right now because
that would be interesting to hear what his take is.

Speaker 11 (45:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (45:54):
Yeah, sometimes we can't get it from our parents, though,
we gotta get it for someone else.

Speaker 4 (45:57):
All right, Well, I'm sure we'll be talking about this
more tomorrow, and we do have Ourmiani White when we
come back. He's from Philly. He's been through a lot.
Like I said, his story is really interesting, but he's
a talented artist. So I'm I cannot wait to talk
to this. Y'all gonna love it. It's way up at
Angela ye. And this was was recorded last week while
Jasmine was here. That's why you'll hear her.

Speaker 2 (46:17):
On this interview.

Speaker 1 (46:18):
Was she not here?

Speaker 5 (46:19):
Now?

Speaker 2 (46:19):
We missed you on interviews too, man, No you did.

Speaker 1 (46:23):
Y'all didn't want me back?

Speaker 2 (46:24):
That's a lie.

Speaker 9 (46:29):
You up with Angela?

Speaker 2 (46:32):
What's up this way up at Angela Gee?

Speaker 4 (46:33):
I'm Angela Gee, and Jasmine from the Jasmine brand dot
Com is here with me and Armani White is here.

Speaker 1 (46:39):
And is here. YESI Blanco.

Speaker 4 (46:42):
Well let's talk about you for a second. You're from Philly, Yes,
what's Philly? And we actually have Friday up here Friday
and he's on the he's on the EP as well.

Speaker 2 (46:50):
For I feel like this EP could have been an album.

Speaker 5 (46:53):
What it really was was I was traveling so much
in the past, like Nams, I could have never forecast
the amount of blessings and things that happened for me.

Speaker 1 (47:01):
So it was like, I gotta put some music out,
you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (47:04):
It was like so much time was going on, so
I was, okay, let me collect one the records that
I really really feel good about, and we started making
we started making the album. So there were songs that
we were going to put on the album that I
was like, nah, just give them to them right now.
And while we're still finalizing what this album is gonna be.
That's why it says road the Castle Blanco. It's like,
while we're getting Castle Blanco together, let's give them tease,
right Yeah.

Speaker 2 (47:25):
And then Billy Eilish obviously that song really really.

Speaker 1 (47:28):
Blew us good.

Speaker 6 (47:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (47:33):
Okay, so when you did that, because that's a sample
right from Nori on there, So then how does that work?
Because we've been watching like Sharon and Court and seeing
all that happen, So was that something that you did
that and then you were like, oh, this is taking
off now I got to clear it or how does
that work?

Speaker 5 (47:48):
Nothing about any of this stuff before I did Like
when I when I did it, it went viral and
I was like, okay, I can't release this because of
the sample thing.

Speaker 9 (47:55):
I was.

Speaker 5 (47:55):
I wanted to just be like, you know, I asked
for forgiveness later. But then I was like it became
a moment where it was like, you know that the
song was growing so popular, so you got to go
through the sample process, which is like you send the
carrier pigeon out. They dropped it, they dropped the mail off. Eventually,
it's like it's such this really old, antiquated process. It
took like two or three months to get it finally done.

Speaker 1 (48:15):
It's a long time. Yeah, and that's a lot of
like worry.

Speaker 5 (48:18):
Imagine me fighting with like a bunch of ten year
old kids on TikTok, like no, the.

Speaker 1 (48:23):
Song is coming out.

Speaker 5 (48:24):
Yeah, They're like, yo, your moment, your momentum is dead.
All this Like you know, they was cooking me. They
was killing me every day on TikTok. I'm fighting with
ten year old kids.

Speaker 2 (48:32):
They like, don't carry you know, I tell you, I'll
tell you your momentum.

Speaker 5 (48:37):
Like your momentum is done, your windows closed. They like, man,
it's over. We don't want this song no more. And
I'm just sitting there like, listen, let's give me one
more week.

Speaker 1 (48:44):
Like so yeah, like it popped before you got it cleared.

Speaker 2 (48:48):
Yeah, yes, did Nor reach out to you at all?

Speaker 1 (48:51):
Yeah? So well he didn't reach out.

Speaker 5 (48:52):
I seen him at something in the water the festival,
and I was like, well, last year, year, last year. Yeah,
I seen him last year and I was like, yo, oh,
appreciate you for lett me use the sample. What are
you talking about? And I'm like, I heard, I heard
he ain't really feeling the sample things too much. So
I was appreciate you for letting me use the sample.
He's like, what's sable?

Speaker 1 (49:10):
And I was like, Billy iyis and he said, oh
I love that record. I was one of the you know,
the exceptions of the rule.

Speaker 5 (49:15):
But and afterwards, you know, Nod jumped on the remix
with Luda and Buster. Yeah yeah, so so yeah, I mean,
it's been cool we are.

Speaker 2 (49:23):
Talking to Aremni White.

Speaker 4 (49:25):
I feel like just from reading your story and knowing
that you've been very open about things that have happened
the fires, you know, two of them actually, and then
that's the time that you also do have to start
over right right after absolutely.

Speaker 5 (49:37):
I think that so that that that first house fire,
I was a kid where I lost my four family
members in it. It was starting over, but it was
also like, you know, those are like the moments of
your life where you're you're kind of still finding yourself.
So I ran outside, I was fighting a lot, I
stopped going to school, I was you know, I was
hanging out on the block, I was whatever. I was
just trying to be anything I was. Honestly, I went

(49:57):
through a moment of inflicting pain on others because I
felt so much pain inside and I didn't know how
to articulate that.

Speaker 1 (50:04):
I was like maybe ten, eleven, twelve years old something
like that.

Speaker 5 (50:07):
So it was just like this idea that I can
do whatever I want and there's no repercussions because nobody
can understand what I'm feeling or what I'm going through.

Speaker 1 (50:16):
You know, you're talking about like.

Speaker 5 (50:17):
I lost everything that I considered close to home family
other than my mother. It was like, you know, my
like my aunt was my second mom, three cousins. We
talking about kids, you know, like seven years old, four
years old, and my best friend at design was my cousin.

Speaker 1 (50:33):
Like so I lost all of that and that fire.

Speaker 5 (50:35):
I didn't really know how to articulate the things that
I was feeling waking up every day. It was just like,
somebody has to feel this pain other than me. And
that was you know that I felt that way for
a really long time until one of the things that
really really shaped things for me at the time my
mom she made me start being out was the sound attention.

Speaker 1 (50:56):
But some you know, a bunch of families is coming in, crying,
falling over and stuff like that. And one day I'm just.

Speaker 5 (51:01):
Watching it, baby, you know, they're doing the whole thing
over the funeral, and I realized, I'm so disassociated with
everything that's going on.

Speaker 1 (51:09):
It's like it helped me understand that.

Speaker 5 (51:11):
Like, no matter how deep, how whatever sad it is,
your story is, how hard, how you know rough your
pain is that you're feeling, somebody just doesn't care. Like
you know, if somebody it just can't relate somebody, it
just does not affect them. Somebody is just not connected
to that, and you can live your entire life just
thinking like, man, you gotta feel my story you could

(51:32):
just you know, kind of pick it up and let
that fire live through you. And that's what I decided
to do at that point. I was like, I need
this fire to live through me and not live outside
of me and live around me. So that was that
first house fire. That second house fire put a lot
of things in a perspective as well, because I think
it was that moment of realization that like, there's one
thing that could happen just like that, and everything can

(51:52):
go away, you know what I'm saying. Like, and I
was working so hard, I was trying, I was I
was clean. I'm back in Philly, but I'm not doing
nothing in the streets. I'm not doing nothing outside. I'm
not hanging around this person ever. I'm doing everything staring clear.
And that one fire, I was in jail, and you know,
I'm fighting for my life now.

Speaker 1 (52:08):
So they accuse you of yeah, they accuse me Arson.

Speaker 5 (52:11):
And I'm sitting in jail just like how when I
got out of there, I said, I don't want to
let any of these moments slip anyone anymore, you know.
I don't want to just be sitting by the wayside
like today until they go by, I just do it tomorrow.
Everything that I ever wanted to do, I'm just going
to do it. I had met Waller around the time too,
and Man and Willaer started happening. Like anytime I would

(52:32):
have conversations, I would leave inspired. I was just like,
there's no way that I can't do everything that I
want to do. If he's doing everything he wants to do.

Speaker 1 (52:42):
Amazing story, he's at way more time taking away from him.

Speaker 5 (52:45):
I've only been in here for a couple of days,
not even how long. Was in there for like a day.
I was only in there for like a day.

Speaker 1 (52:50):
That little day was like that's enough. Were you sitting there?

Speaker 5 (52:56):
Because when you're sitting there, it's like they call my
name up and they read the charges. My charges was crazy.
It was like simple assault, fella, need by this this thing,
like just they add things on the list and they're
like yo, the bell set one hundred thousand dollars and
I was like, oh, time out.

Speaker 1 (53:10):
And my lawyers trying to like, you know, and then
at that point you realize, like you.

Speaker 5 (53:14):
Know, you're at that moment where your life, your entire
existence is in the you know, just up to someone
else's decisions.

Speaker 2 (53:20):
You don't know what can happen.

Speaker 5 (53:21):
Yeah, and to be able to walk away from that
no charges, like they dropped every charge on it.

Speaker 1 (53:26):
That's a blessing, that is that's a lot of trauma. Yeah,
you know, have you went to therapy or how have
you processed all this trauma?

Speaker 11 (53:34):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (53:34):
Write about it?

Speaker 5 (53:35):
You know, even I went to I used to go
to grief counseling, especially with like you know, losing friends,
losing family, and a lot of the times the answer
is already here, but I just need to find the answer.
I need to speak out. I need to vocally say
the answer. I need to vocally like go through whatever's
going on in my mind.

Speaker 1 (53:51):
And sort out all my thoughts. So a lot of
times I just write about it or I just talk
out loud.

Speaker 5 (53:55):
As much as possible to people who I do look
at as guidance or counseling figures in my life.

Speaker 4 (54:01):
All Right, Well, Philly's own Ourmiani White is here with us.
We're talking about his project Road to Casablanco. He got
the full length album coming out later this year, and
we have more with him when we come back.

Speaker 1 (54:12):
It's way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 9 (54:13):
Hey, Yeah, she back at it. The way up with Angela.

Speaker 1 (54:21):
Yee is on what's up?

Speaker 2 (54:23):
It's way up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 1 (54:24):
I'm Angela Yee.

Speaker 4 (54:25):
Jasmine from the Jasmine Brand is here with me and
we are talking to Ourmiani Whites. He's been through a lot.
He's had two really tragic house fires with close family
members dying in one of them and the other one
resulting in him going to jail. And now we're going
to talk more about his family life. Your father, Yes,
you lost your father as well, but you did get
to spend some time with him. So can you tell

(54:46):
us about your relationship with your dad? And even like
those few months that you did get to be at
his side, what were some of the conversations didn't you
let me?

Speaker 5 (54:53):
Let me let me tell you why me and my
dad a bad relationship. I blame hip hop. Nobody had
a dad when I had a dad. As soon as
my dad passed, everybody's like, you know, kicking it with
my old man, and I'm like, way, like where you
get a dad from? But you know, me and my
dad's relationship was it was kind of rocky, just because
you know, my mom and my dad's relationship was a

(55:15):
little rocky, and I just picked a side. I didn't
understand it. I just picked a side. As I grew up,
I understood things not a lot more. Not to say
that one side or the other, but it was just like, oh,
I can see it from you know, see it from
both perspectives now. So when he got cancer, I didn't
find out until like it was deep into it. I
think I just started kind of getting everything going with

(55:37):
the music, and I heard little whispers about it, like
that he might be a little sick. But I was like,
you know, one day, like when I get all this together,
I'm gonna pull up on him.

Speaker 1 (55:45):
And I had this idea.

Speaker 5 (55:46):
I was like, once I get famous, I could fix
everything in my life. It was completely untrue, but that
was right right, that was my mentality. I was coming
home from doing the show. It was twenty sixteen. I
was that we had the last show in Philly, and
I was like, I'm about to turned down the block
to just like save it's up to him. And I'm
looking out of my window and I see my dad's
like a big guy braizeing anything. I see this like

(56:08):
smaller guy with ball head getting out of my dad's car.
And picking my little sister, and I'm just I don't
know who it is. I'm just staring him, staring, staring.
Once I realized my dad, I just turned off the block,
like I went to a Chinese store and I just
start balling my eyes out in the parking lot and
I was just thinking, like all the things that I
was hearing started to kind of become real, and we

(56:29):
kicked it. Like I pulled up on him, like a
week or two after that, on his birthday, I pulled
up on him. We just like cried and I cut
everything music related off.

Speaker 1 (56:37):
I just chilled.

Speaker 5 (56:38):
I just chilled at his house, kicked it with him
up until he passed. He passed that June, so like
from like April to June, I was just like a caretaker,
like anytime I needed to go to the hospital until
I'm talking about to the very last minute. He passed
away holding my hand, and that was like a really yeah,
that was like a really really rough feeling for me.
Like I didn't for a while after that. I ain't

(56:58):
like really honestly with this whole A lot of just
coming back into you know, all this music stuff. That's
really the most I've been in Philly since he passed away,
I haven't been able like to really.

Speaker 11 (57:07):
You know.

Speaker 5 (57:07):
We shot a music video on my block last year
and that was like the longest time I've spent on
my streets since he passed. I just like it would
just bring back too many feelings, too many.

Speaker 1 (57:16):
You know, right?

Speaker 2 (57:17):
Was it hard for you to leave Philly? Because I
know you it's such a you know, yeah, I mean
it was.

Speaker 1 (57:22):
It's like I gotta love it, relationship with it now
like I love it. I love the city.

Speaker 5 (57:26):
I'm always gonna let the city. But there's a lot
of trauma attached to the city and so I don't attach.

Speaker 1 (57:30):
When I was a kid, it was I gotta be
everything Philly and now it's just kind of like like
Philly is always going to be in me, and I
understand that, but I need to move on and experience
other things and.

Speaker 9 (57:40):
Like and bring it back to Philly.

Speaker 2 (57:41):
We are talking to Aremani White. How is Billy eilish
with this?

Speaker 1 (57:45):
Billy Billy finally reached out to me and I was like,
what I took you so long?

Speaker 9 (57:50):
I was winking at Billy.

Speaker 1 (57:53):
Billy.

Speaker 5 (57:53):
She love it, nah, she she she She posted it
the other day again. She posted it the other day
and then uh, randomly I had I had d M
to Shane DM me back, but it was like a
week or two later. She just liked the message and
I'm like, what makes you come back to my DM?
What you're doing over now? But she's been cool. We're
playing a festival together in August. I probably end up

(58:15):
meeting or meeting up for the first time then. But yeah,
not Billy, you know, she's been real cool. That was
a Chico. I don't know why I ain't think of that.

Speaker 2 (58:22):
I know, whoever you want to be just write a song,
Yeah exactly is.

Speaker 1 (58:25):
You're about to start write a song about her?

Speaker 4 (58:27):
Well, thank you so much, and you guys make sure
you pick up the EP. Do you know when the
feature length album? When you in your head when you went.

Speaker 5 (58:33):
That to come out, Yes, before the end of the year,
Like we were not there's no shortage of work. There's
no stoppage of work. We just like, you know, right
after this, right back to the studio. So we just
were just enjoying our little marathon with like everything that's
been going on, celebrating, But it ain't no stoppage of work,
like we just you know we're still building it.

Speaker 1 (58:49):
We already started it.

Speaker 4 (58:50):
So yeah, and with the business mind that you have,
I'm sure it's not just music that you're going to
be doing.

Speaker 5 (58:55):
I just did my first little like I think my
first audition, that's like it went through. I think I'm
about you think you guys, I think about baby worschiffing on.

Speaker 4 (59:08):
Well, thank you so much, HARMANI way, it was a
pleasure to have you. We appreciate you, and congratulations, thank
you and thank you. And when we come back we
have asked ye. This is your opportunity to ask us
anything you want. This is the time for Mano to judge,
for Mano to give his advice, to give his opinion.
It's the way you put Angela Yee eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 8 (59:26):
Everybody since, whether it's relationship or career advice, Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 4 (59:32):
This is aske the way you put Angela Yee. And
Mano is here and it's a Monday maynovation, and you
know what time it is. It's time for y'all to
call in with your questions for ask ye. Now, ask
you actually came about because when I was younger, I
had a lot of friends. Right, So you know, Mayo,
you know me from when I was young. I would
be out a lot. I had a lot of female friends.

Speaker 1 (59:51):
We'd be in the club all.

Speaker 2 (59:52):
The time, having a good time as I was there,
You've been out and about.

Speaker 1 (59:56):
I've seen you, you know New York from Brooklyn. Will
see me in places like rain and stuff like that. Yeah,
send you a rain.

Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
I seen you a lot of places.

Speaker 4 (01:00:05):
But part of how acci came about is because a
lot of my friends had always asked me for advice
on different things.

Speaker 1 (01:00:11):
So then it just turned into this whole ask yee situation.

Speaker 4 (01:00:14):
Where I'm not the quite award winning advice giver that
you I give the best advice.

Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
I'm really I'm really good at it.

Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
All right, you are? You're good at giving advice?

Speaker 11 (01:00:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
I feel like you know and you care.

Speaker 4 (01:00:26):
So that's what matters the most. Eight hundred fifty is
a number. Ask ye, akara, how are you?

Speaker 11 (01:00:32):
I'm doing okay?

Speaker 2 (01:00:34):
So what's what's your ask ye?

Speaker 11 (01:00:36):
How do y'all? What's y'all intake? On the toxic family?

Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
All right, we need a little more details.

Speaker 11 (01:00:42):
Concient families, Wisha, you have parents that basically like any
time you come to them with something like coming down
with just a little problem, little everyday problem espe that
you you know, like like you're not a learning adult
like they were. You know, you're just going to figure out.
And it's just real nasty tension between Like honestly you said,

(01:01:12):
like just just like nastiness always arguments like never wanting
to like family.

Speaker 3 (01:01:18):
Sup.

Speaker 11 (01:01:18):
I feel like family is supposed to be there to
like help, never wanting to help eitherwise mentally, physically, financially
some kinds of help.

Speaker 4 (01:01:28):
Okay, So you feel like your family is not supportive
of you, either mentally, physically or financially.

Speaker 1 (01:01:34):
Yes, man, you know they said you cannot choose your family.
It is what it is. You got to stand on
your independence though, you have to stand.

Speaker 17 (01:01:44):
I do.

Speaker 11 (01:01:44):
I'm very independent, lie right now, It's a lot going on.

Speaker 1 (01:01:48):
Sometimes I don't.

Speaker 11 (01:01:49):
Ask my family for help. I try to do it myself,
you know. But sometimes you need.

Speaker 3 (01:01:53):
A family, right, Sometimes sometimes you do, but other times
sometimes family not the one to help you.

Speaker 4 (01:02:00):
Yeah, sometimes you got to build your own family that's
not your flesh and blood.

Speaker 11 (01:02:05):
I'm kind of doing that now, me and my best friends.
We have two best friends. You know they have children.
One of them have children. We're belding the kind of family.
But it's just like I would like my actual family
to be there. I feel like blood, you know, should
be there.

Speaker 7 (01:02:19):
Now.

Speaker 4 (01:02:19):
I feel you because I think when I have problems,
that's not automatically who I go to. Maybe sometimes my brother,
you know, my brother may know, yes I do, but
I will say that you know, and it's not your
fault because sometimes you could feel like, man, what's wrong
with me? But they honestly are human beings, and they

(01:02:42):
might have their own things going on that have them
act the way that they do that you don't even
know about. I know there's a lot of things about
my family that I don't personally know in the background
why certain people act the way that they act. But
what I've had to realize is that when it comes
to certain things, I know who I can go to
and who I can't go to. It's just not your
family for that purpose, and it's not your fault. Some

(01:03:04):
people are damaged in their own ways, and like you said,
you call the you know toxicity. And so the thing
is that you know that now. So knowing is half
the battle. So knowing that this is not where I'm
going to go to. This is not the safe space.
Family is not always the ones that's there for you.
Sometimes you're the ones that hurt you the most.

Speaker 11 (01:03:22):
I'm not even gonna lie right now. They are hurting
me the.

Speaker 4 (01:03:25):
Most, right and so and even getting some professional help
you know you can do that too, and having somebody that.

Speaker 11 (01:03:32):
Can tell that too. They kind of look down at
me for doing that.

Speaker 2 (01:03:38):
Well, they don't need to know your business like that.

Speaker 4 (01:03:40):
That and a care Honestly, I commend you for taking
the stand and knowing that this is an issue that
I'm having. I'm going to go and handle it and
take care of what I need to take care of.
Because your mental is so important and you got to
build that up. And I think for you to know
what you need to do and start taking action to
do that, that's valuable.

Speaker 3 (01:03:59):
That's the best advice I would you give. Why, I'll
give the best advice up there, I did the best advice.
But listen, she gave you sound advice just now.

Speaker 1 (01:04:11):
Man, I was about to tell you to have a
three zomes.

Speaker 3 (01:04:13):
No I'm not, I'm really not listen. I was just
going second what she was saying. But you got to
be your own person and carve out your own independence
and just be that. And sometimes it's not your family
that's gonna help. It's not your family that you go
to unfortunately.

Speaker 4 (01:04:33):
And being independent is great, but sometimes you do just
need somebody to talk to and they don't got to
have a solution for you, but just being able to
vent and express yourself as.

Speaker 11 (01:04:42):
Instead of and not be judged for you know, by
the listening here, for being listening here. You know that's
the only thing.

Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
Yeah, you hear that, man or no judgment?

Speaker 9 (01:04:51):
We need that.

Speaker 1 (01:04:52):
It's no judgment, all right.

Speaker 4 (01:04:54):
I can't well, Kiara, I'm so glad that you called us,
and I feel like you are definitely taking the positive
steps to do what you need to do for yourself.

Speaker 14 (01:05:01):
Thank you?

Speaker 4 (01:05:03):
All right, Well that was ask ye. Eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty is a number you remember.
We are always here to help, right I am?

Speaker 10 (01:05:12):
You do you do?

Speaker 1 (01:05:13):
Mana? You got an award for that? No, I really did.

Speaker 4 (01:05:15):
Yeah, you got an advice giver award. I remember manovation.
All right, when we come back, you guys always have
the last word. Eight hundred two nine fifty one fifty
is a number. On that number, you can tell us
a secret, you can ask for advice for asking, or
you can just give your last word is way up?

Speaker 9 (01:05:31):
Oh, tap to get your voice heard. What the word is?
Is the last word on Way Up with Angela?

Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
Yee oh, it's way up with Angela.

Speaker 1 (01:05:41):
Ye, it is way up baby, Way up. And Mano
is here with me.

Speaker 4 (01:05:46):
I love the fact that Mana was in the Dominican
Republic and keep talking about this and he was, and
he was asked, are you going to be at work
on Monday?

Speaker 1 (01:05:52):
I definitely was the fact that she was out the country.

Speaker 2 (01:05:55):
And somebody was like, are you going to be at
work on Monday?

Speaker 1 (01:05:58):
Are you going to make it to the show on Monday?

Speaker 4 (01:06:00):
Way, you got to make it for a Monday May innovation, gotcha?
And then also, you know we do tell us a
secret on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Speaker 1 (01:06:07):
And you love that. I have to, Yeah, you have to.

Speaker 2 (01:06:10):
And you're an award winning advice guy.

Speaker 1 (01:06:12):
Yes, Sam, I mean like a mouth there like clacks
and everything texts well.

Speaker 4 (01:06:16):
A shout out to Rmiani White who joined us today.
He's from Philly. I'm gonna be in Philly for the
Roots picnic it's my first time going. I'm excited for it.

Speaker 1 (01:06:24):
I don't think I've ever been.

Speaker 4 (01:06:25):
We're doing lip service live out there. We just did
lip service, lip service live at Strength of a Woman.
The summit that was happening in Atlanta, Mary's Obliges' Summit,
by the way, amazing concerts both nights.

Speaker 1 (01:06:37):
So when you took when you did lip service, did
you take everybody with you?

Speaker 5 (01:06:41):
No?

Speaker 4 (01:06:41):
So it wasn't enough space because we already had three guests.
Jay car Gill and the former mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms
was there, by the way.

Speaker 1 (01:06:50):
Yeah, yeah, that was good.

Speaker 4 (01:06:52):
Megan who has an investment fund, a tech fund and
wants to encourage entertainers and athletes to invest.

Speaker 1 (01:06:59):
So she's very successful at that. That's something that we
all need to do more.

Speaker 4 (01:07:03):
And so Jiji already lives in Atlanta, so she was there,
and then Jasmine was with me because a lot of
times she comes out and that's why she's spending time
with her daughter.

Speaker 2 (01:07:10):
Today.

Speaker 4 (01:07:11):
Got it all right, but again we will be back tomorrow,
so get ready for that. You guys, have a great day.
As mon as a Monday may innovation made him one
more time.

Speaker 3 (01:07:20):
Let him know man stay up, because waking up every day,
every morning is an underrated blessing.

Speaker 4 (01:07:26):
Underrated blessing. All right, eight hundred two nine fifty, let's
hear your last word.

Speaker 13 (01:07:33):
And I wanted to tell her a secret.

Speaker 7 (01:07:35):
When I was younger, I kind of like lost my
virginity to my babysitter. But yeah, I love if I
should be saying that, But yeah, I kind of lost
my virginity to my babysitting. But it wasn't like when
I was younger. We grew up a little older, and
you know, I lost my virginia.

Speaker 22 (01:07:50):
Got me a little secret. So about three years ago,
I was working at this restaurant and my wife had
suspicions that I was sleeping with one of the ladies
that was working there. I denied it because that's you know,
it wasn't true at the time. But then time progressed.
I did find out that the girl that was working
there was killing me. And we actually digged busy about

(01:08:13):
there four or five times.

Speaker 9 (01:08:16):
