Speaker 1 (00:00):
I only supporting real, So I'm gonna tune in.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
The day waya you are.

Speaker 3 (00:04):
Now Angelo what I call her yee?

Speaker 4 (00:15):
Yes, it is way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela
Yee on a Tuesday. I don't visit Tuesday. It feels
like Wednesday, like I did a lot already. I guess
I was filming lip Service last night. So today we
do have a lip service episode coming out. What's out today?

Speaker 5 (00:32):
Chaotic?

Speaker 6 (00:33):
Yes?

Speaker 7 (00:33):
Chaotic?

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Okay, thank you Dan, that's our producer. Yeah, Chaotics episode.
He has a song right now that everybody loves, you know,
so appreciate me, yes, appreciate me with the dance and
everything that's going viral on TikTok.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
So.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
He'll be joining us from also Love and Hip Hop
Miami and now Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. I've been
catching up on that show. Love and Hip Hop Miami
also debut last night. Lipservice was on there, so shout
out to us. We were on there with Tukihana. But
may know it's running a little bit late. He'll be
here in a few minutes. Flow Milly is going to
be joining us today.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
Flow Millie is doing it right now. New Project Conceded
is my song too still even though it just came
out last year. I feel like it was so long ago,
but that is still my song all right. And you
know how we always start to show off. We always
start to show up with you guys shining a light

(01:28):
while I'm sitting here. You know what I realized too,
And I just want to put this out there because
I was just I've been sitting here. Every single day
a new bill comes in that I was not expecting.
All the time, NonStop. I feel like every time I
get paid for something, that money going to go right
back out. But I do try to stay on top
of everything so it doesn't pile up. That is one
thing that I will do. I'd rather pay all my

(01:49):
bills and have zero dollars left than have to worry
about owing money. All right, So let's get it started.
Let's shine a light on him. This is where you
guys call in and shine a light on somebody doing
something positive, show some love. Eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty. Let's start the day off right with
some positivity. The energy you put out there is what
you're going to get back from the universe. It's way
yup at Angela Yee.

Speaker 8 (02:09):
I'm a shine Turn your lights on, y'all, light saw.
It's breading love to those who are doing greatness.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Shine a light on, Shine a light on.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
It's time to shine a light on him.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
What's up his way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee,
and it is time to shine a light on him.
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty is a number.
Let's spread some positivity. And I want to shine a
light on somebody who has come up in this industry
with me. His name is Big, said Saja Thornton, and
he has an entertainment site called the Industry co Sign.

(02:42):
But he literally has been doing this work for so long,
from doing events at this restaurant in the city called
the Grill. They used to have parties down in the
basement there. He used to host these events. Now he's
still doing his thing. He's writing. He just recently wrote
an article on me for Black Enterprise about my Airbnb
property upstate New York. So I just love the fact

(03:03):
that for over twenty years we've both been in this
business and still going strong and still doing our thing.
And so Big said, it's always a pleasure to speak
to you, to talk to you and see you. I
think it's great when you can see the success that
people that you started out with are continuing to have
and thrive. And so I want to just send you
some love and support you with that. Okay, who do you, guys?

(03:25):
Want to shine a light on? Cash? What's goody?

Speaker 9 (03:29):
What's up?

Speaker 4 (03:31):
How are you? Would you like to shine a light on?

Speaker 9 (03:33):
I'm good. I want to shine a light on my boyfriend.
Three Buddha blush. He's a stand up man. He don't
belong in there, and you take care of home and
his kids from India, and I just really appreciate him
the old that he does.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
That's right, Free him.

Speaker 9 (03:47):
Three Buddha bleas ay know Bob?

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Where's he from? Where a y'all from?

Speaker 9 (03:51):
Were from?

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Halem?

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Okay?

Speaker 9 (03:54):
From Port?

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (03:56):
Thank you for calling?

Speaker 9 (03:57):
Thank you?

Speaker 4 (03:58):
Hey's that here? How are you?

Speaker 9 (04:00):
Hey?

Speaker 4 (04:01):
How you doing?

Speaker 1 (04:01):
One?

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Okay? What's good? Who do you want to shine a
light on?

Speaker 9 (04:05):
Okay?

Speaker 10 (04:05):
Yeah, I want to shine did because my oldest sister
passed away.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
She took her kids.

Speaker 10 (04:11):
You know, she's got them in the house, doing a
great thing with them, taking care of them. So you know,
I want to shine the light that I know what
good beings is. It's sane and appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Oh my gosh, Yeah, shout out is that kid. Ain't
it great when you have family that could really step
up to the place, because that doesn't always happen. That
is a blessing.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (04:29):
Yeah, and even surprising because once my sister passed away
not too long after my mother told him. It's just
like a crush on it. So we're like, oh, the
kids because my sister had like four kids, then my
other kids she got her own as well for how
to pick them in and then they're doing good in
school and it's sport. I'm like, yo, I really appreciate
my sister doing it even though that family, but still

(04:52):
just to kick on that their whole job leed them,
take care of them.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
Clothe them, and that's great for those kids. At least
they have their family who they know are who loves them.
I'm sure that's going to be very competing at a
difficult time.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
That's strangest.

Speaker 10 (05:04):
Yeah, they called me too anyway, so yeah, a good thing.
I also want to shout out some Bobby. I love
him so much.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Okay, all right, Bubby, we'll shot the light on you, Zakiya,
and thank you so much out here for calling us.

Speaker 10 (05:20):
We met a couple of times.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
You came out of North was blazing, okay, yes, yes, free.

Speaker 10 (05:26):
Blade, Yeah yeah yeah, I met you a couple of times.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Name tooth.

Speaker 10 (05:30):
That's what you probably remember about faith though.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
Okay, all right, not another main ovador, right, okay, love,
all right, no problem, take care, all right. Well that
was shine a light on him eight hundred two nine
fifty one fifty. In case you couldn't get through, you
can always leave a message for the last word. And
when we come back we have a year yet, we'll

(05:53):
be talking about Nicki Nas. She was on live she
wanted to and talked about the dumbest decision she ever made.
It's way up with Angela.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Yee yo, She's about to.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Blow the lead ab off this bot.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Get it.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Angela's feeling that yee Tea, come and get to Tea.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
Yes, it is way up at Angela yee. I'm Angela yee.
And Mano said, it's okay for me to disclose this.
But he is on the toilet. I don't know what's
going on with this guy's stomach, but he is losing
weight rapidly.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
Okay, so I did what you laughing?

Speaker 7 (06:25):
That's funny, all right?

Speaker 4 (06:26):
So Nicki Mina, she recently was on TikTok Live and
she was talking about one of the worst decisions that
she ever made, and it has to do with Kanye West.
Here's what she said.

Speaker 11 (06:37):
I wanted Kanye to be on Blazon and he wanted
to be on Right Through Me. Dumbest decision I ever made,
you know, but it is what it is that would.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Have sounded good Kanye on right Through Me?

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Sheesh.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
But yeah, so for h for her, I guess that's
one regret that she has and right Through Me, but
it that song did great even without him.

Speaker 7 (07:01):
You learned from it too.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
I'd have been like, what about a remix?

Speaker 1 (07:05):
All right?

Speaker 4 (07:05):
And shout out to Joe Cooy. He has two more
stand up specials at Netflix. And what I love about
the comedian Joe Cooy is how he even just started
doing things on his own. I read his autobiography. I
also ordered his movie like all of those things, and
I watched all of his stand up specials. I went
to them. He's hilarious. But even when he first got

(07:27):
started because doing what he does is a stand up comedian.
It's not easy to get those specials. And he recorded
everything himself the first time he did his special, pay
for it all and then sold it and now he
makes way more money having done things that way. And
so he now he has a deal extending his relationship
with Netflix to do two more stand up specials. And
guess what. The next one is going to be taped

(07:48):
in Brooklyn at the King's Theater. So that's really really dope,
and that's going to premiere on Netflix in twenty twenty four.
And right now he's on his Joe Cooy World Tour,
all right. And speaking of comedians, Tiffany Hattish is working
on something new. She is producing a docuseriies and it's
about successful women who date homeless men.

Speaker 7 (08:10):
It's an interesting spinn.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
And she said everybody deserves to have someone. So she said,
I experienced homelessness myself and found that there was a
stigma on it that I don't think should be there.
Everyone deserves to have someone supporting them and caring for them,
not necessarily carrying them all the way. It's really important
for people to make sure that they know that because
it's really hard to be homeless. So many people are
isolated and living on the streets alone. So I saw

(08:38):
a lot of people reacting to this, and I'm not
sure maybe this is going to change, you know what
that stigma is. So it is definitely interesting. But successful
men who are dating successful women who are dating homeless men.
I don't think I know anybody that is. And I
think we're supposed to say unhoused now instead of homeless,
because I guess homeless doesn't sound right, Is that right?

Speaker 5 (09:01):
Am I right?

Speaker 7 (09:02):
Politically incorrect?

Speaker 4 (09:03):
Yeah, politically incorrect? All right. Siza attended the Drake concert.
She was wearing a super Mario disguise, and so she
was on the concert and she posted herself lost in
the bit or is the bit lost in me? And
so I guess she just felt like she didn't want
to be out there doing the most and China stay incognito.
I don't know if that disguise was very incognito.

Speaker 7 (09:24):
Yeah, the mustache, yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Because it was also like the type of thing that
if you saw her, you'd be like.

Speaker 7 (09:30):
What is Mario Luigi?

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Yeah, like what's going on here?

Speaker 4 (09:34):
Another person who was there, by the way, Kim Kardashian
and I saw people were remarking about how she was
so excited for Drake, and people are now speculating that
she has a crush on Drake, and I'm sure Kanye
is probably not too happy, but he's got his own
situation now, so it's just a big mess.

Speaker 12 (09:51):
Kim was singing her part for Search and Rescue when
Drake was performing it.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
Everyone was talking, Yeah, you think she does stuff like
that purposely or you know how you can be a
little vindictive to your ex.

Speaker 7 (10:03):
I mean, it is the drag concert.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
Right, and Kanye is dating someone who kind of looks
like her, and sure that's annoying too from both sides.

Speaker 7 (10:10):
Also kind of looks like Pete Davidson.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Yeah, well, there's a lot of side by sides.

Speaker 7 (10:15):
I didn't just pull that out of nowhere.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
Yeah, okay, so you think his new wife looks like
Pete Davidson.

Speaker 7 (10:20):
There's a lot of side by sides interesting the two.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
Thusy's obsessed with Pete. Okay, Well that is your yee t.
Thank you Dan for your yee t as well. And
when we come back, we have about last night. That's
where we discussed the things that we did that took
place last night. I already told y'all. Last night I
was outside, I was getting ready for today's episode of
lip Service. So we were taping that. But in addition,

(10:43):
I've been catching up on some good old TV. And
I tell you what I was watching is way Up
with Angela Yee about last night?

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Is next?

Speaker 13 (10:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (10:50):
Last night?

Speaker 2 (10:52):
So about last night? Last night? Last nights went down?

Speaker 4 (10:57):
Yes, it is way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela
Yee and Mayno's here.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Yeah, Hey, fresh off the toilet, stop it, stop it.
I just got to go. You know, it's we're like
a band, right. So when I when I put my finger,
Navy already knows dropped that you've been losing weight, though
it look like it. Yeah, I don't know. He's doing

(11:23):
a toilet bro stop it. My point the fingernail is different.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
You gotta do stop with this fullhand.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
Stop baby me and You're on the same side, all right.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
And so last night I was doing lip Service. And
by the way, while I was filming lip Service, we
were actually on Love and Hip Hop Miami. The season
premiere came out, came out with us Sukihana.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Was I getting lip service last night? No? I wasn't.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Man know, I told you that you needed to actually
take a day to relax because you did off a
hustle herd weekend.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
I did, got it, Chill, I took. I took yesterday
to relax.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
Okay, good, and that's what I did. I'm glad to
hear that. So for me, I actually went. And so
one person that came out because we did two episodes yesterday,
So we met a young lady. She's from Brooklyn. Her
name is Addis Fouchet. So she is a sex worker from.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
One time for the sex workers. I like that. I
promote that.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Yeah, and you know, I think sometimes it's a stigma
on sex workers. Yeah, there is. She's very intelligent, very smart,
she writes. So she went to boarding school and this
was something that she decided she wanted to do. She
started off as a sugar baby, nice and she tells
her whole story and she owns exactly who she is.

(12:41):
I think a lot of times people do things but they.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Don't own it, and that's where the problem is at
and that's where the disconnect comes from. I respect it.
If this is what you do, it is what it is.
I mean, look, we live in a world where everybody
got a job to do. Everybody got a part to play.
That that that world, right there is is just as
American as American pain. That's right.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
And she was saying that sometimes people pay her just
to do things like go to dinner. One guy pays
her just to draw her.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Listen, I know where they hang. Well, let me listen.
I understand. I like it. I like it.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
But the strangest thing that she ever said she got
paid for was scatting.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
No, I'll stay away from that.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
Do you know what that is?

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Is that what the conversation with the man that called
up the lady?

Speaker 4 (13:27):
Ye, yes, yes, scatting. We can we can say that.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
I can stay away from that.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
I don't think that navy who's running the board's nose,
but scatting is, or else he would have played your
drop again from where you just came from. You were
just scatting.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
No, I don't know what that is. Something else? Yeah,
what I really want to say.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
No, all right, So that is my about last night.
And you know, before that, we also had Chaotic on
and Chaotic I was catching up on Love and Hip
Hop Atlanta because he's on that on that series as well.
But he's gonna hit song now. But what I like
about him is that he's got a lot going on
in his life and we're getting to see some of
those layers on the show. Because sometimes when you watch

(14:07):
these reality shows, it's very it can be very superficial
for certain people.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
But his I think, is real.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
We got to see him with his dad connecting in
that way, and he's he's been evolving, So we've seen
that evolving for him. All right. Well, when we coming
back speaking about reality shows, y'all know, I also watched
Real Housewives of Atlanta and may know you and I
were talking about this yesterday, but on the after show,
Charae was discussing with Sanya a situation where you know,

(14:36):
Charai's daddy, Martel Holt, and they had a birthday dinner.
He had a birthday dinner for her, but when the
bill came, he wanted people to put up some cash
for that bill for Charae's birthday dinner. Here's what the
discussion sounded like. You wanted your meal to be paid
for when you got there and you didn't know, but sure,
hold on no empty handis I literally found out I've

(14:57):
want you ract the day before You're not five years
so I'm not going to run to the store to
go buy you just y'all expect me, friends, and why.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
Would you to pay?

Speaker 4 (15:07):
But I'm not saying, hey, I'm not saying he had
to pay. Pay You should not.

Speaker 5 (15:11):
Expect me to pay for anything.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
I thought, your man what pay for you?

Speaker 5 (15:17):
Why would he pay for you and your husband?

Speaker 1 (15:18):
What I'm saying is about the no, no, no, I.

Speaker 15 (15:20):
Shouldn't even want a man pay for him and his wife.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
So I want to know where your thoughts are on this.
It's a birthday dinner and Chara's boyfriend had the birthday
dinner for her, but then he wanted everybody to pay
for themselves. Now Chara is like, well, I'm not paying
for my dinner, and you and your husband should not
expect my boyfriend to pay for the dinner. But then
I saw a lot of people like, well, if that's
your man and he invited us all the dinner, he

(15:45):
should be paying for the dinner, right And may no,
I know you got a story. When we come back,
we want to hear your story. But in the meantime,
we want to see what you guys think. Eight hundred
two nine to fifty one fifty pick a side. Whose
side are you on? Do you agree with scharae that
everybody should be paying for themselves. My man is not
paying for you all to eat? Or do you agree
with Sanya he invited us to the dinner and he

(16:05):
should have paid for the whole dinner for everyone. Eight
hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. Call us up
and pick a side. It's way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
It's not just right or wrong. It's about what you believe.
It's time to pick a side and stay there.

Speaker 4 (16:20):
Yes, it is way up with Angela Gee. I am
judge Angela Yee, and I have Mano here with me. Yeah,
and we are doing pick a side. We are talking
about Real Housewives of Atlanta. Apparently it was Chara's birthday
and her boyfriend Martel had a birthday dinner for her,
but he did not pay the bill. Instead, he told
the people who attended the dinner that they had to

(16:41):
come up off their pockets, and Sonya Richards Ross was
not happy about that. Here's what happened. Expect me by
why would they pay? I'm not saying he had pay.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
I'm not saying he has to pay to pay. You
should not expect me to pay for anything on my
pay for you?

Speaker 5 (17:01):
Why would I pay for you and your house?

Speaker 4 (17:03):
But what I'm saying is about no, no, no, I
shouldn't even warnt a man fan for him and his wife. Okay, man,
what are your thoughts? Who said?

Speaker 5 (17:11):
Are you on here?

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Have paid for the din? Is the thing?

Speaker 9 (17:13):
Right?

Speaker 1 (17:14):
People were gonna expect that you paid for the bill.
If you invite the Mountain, you don't communicate with them
and tell them. I'm like, listen, it's gonna be one
one hundred and fifty dollars a man. I've been in
situations like that where I just cover the whole bill.
I was also in a weird situation when I was
I was in a relationship at the time, and then
it was her birthday and her friends wanted to take
her to dinner. That's something that they wanted to do.

(17:36):
They only asked me to make the reservation for them,
and I called Stratus. He had a restaurant at a steakhouse, right,
it was called Jay sixty. You remember that I did.
And I called Stratus. I said, listen, I got some
people coming over. This is how many. It was maybe
like five or six people. And then they took her
to dinner, and then when they took her to dinner,
when the bill came, they was calling me, he mindjuming home?

Speaker 4 (18:01):
You're not even acted it.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
I didn't even eat.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
The bill that y'all took her out right, and.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Not only set it up because y'all asked me to,
you know, they didn't know where to take it.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
Now, let me ask you this. Did you pay the bill?
I cursed them out, Okay, okay and laid back down.
Now you are right for that, and they were wrong
for that.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
But if you were there, if I was there, that's
something totally different.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
And you didn't even organize it, though, I want to
say that you didn't organize.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
Oh I didn't. I didn't like none of these these
are her people.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Yeah, And if a guy wants to do that for you,
I dated a guy once and my friends had a
dinner for me. He actually called the restaurant and paid
the bill. But that was his choice.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
No one asked her to do that, right, right, that's
his choice. That's that's his thing. But if you want
to take your friend out, this is your friend. This
is something that you want to do. I had my
plans of what I was doing right, This is something
that you want to do. So this is y'all all
need to band together and come up with the bill.

Speaker 4 (18:53):
Okay, So this has to be something that's communicated.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
They got to be communicated.

Speaker 4 (18:57):
I have to be Well, let's see what you guys think.
Eight hundred two fifty fifty tip. How are you?

Speaker 16 (19:02):
Okay?

Speaker 14 (19:02):
How are you?

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Andela? I'm good? Thank hey, good morning.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
Now pick aside, do you think that Martelle should have
paid for the whole dinner for Charae?

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Or do you think Chara is right?

Speaker 4 (19:13):
Everybody should expect to pay her birthday dinner. He's not
paying for y'all.

Speaker 14 (19:17):
I think that he should not have paid for everyone,
especially when there were husbands involved. I think no man
should feel comfortable for another man to pay for him
at his wife's dinner.

Speaker 4 (19:27):
Okay, not even for her birthday. I invited you out.

Speaker 14 (19:30):
Still no invited you out. But your man is there,
so you just take care of his wife.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
Okay, all right, Well, thank you for weighing in.

Speaker 14 (19:38):
That's you're welcome, and I'm calling from Toledo, Ohio.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
Okay, I was there, all right, Okay, hold on, that's
one for CHARAE. Okay, thank you. Hey, I how are you?

Speaker 1 (19:50):
I'm good?

Speaker 4 (19:51):
Thank you. We want you to pick a side, all right,
are you team CHARAE or team Sanya?

Speaker 13 (19:55):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (19:56):
I am team Saranya all the way.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
If you invite me to a party and don't like,
especially out to dinner, and you don't say beforehand that
everybody's got to cover their.

Speaker 10 (20:04):
Own meal and be like, hey, we're just getting together
having something to eat.

Speaker 6 (20:08):
If you want to come by and swing through. But
when you're saying we're throwing a birthday party, I mean,
if I'm not bringing a gift, that's what I'm expected, right,
just a gift.

Speaker 13 (20:17):
I'm not expected to cover my own dad.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
Oh okay. See that's the thing though, that's the communication, right,
we should give it. I think that's what it is, right.
I think if you if you say, if I say, yo, listen,
I'm doing something for Angela, just be there at eight thirty,
I'm not kind of establishing that I'm saying, yo, listen,
one hundred dollars of man.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
Right right, you got it, And that's a that's a
lesson for everybody. Make sure you give that ahead of times.
It's probably gonna be about two hundred dollars each. That's
one for Sonya.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
All right, thank you, you're welcome.

Speaker 14 (20:48):
Thank you guys.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
No man, here we go, yest that?

Speaker 4 (20:53):
Hey Kayla, how are you?

Speaker 14 (20:55):
I'm good?

Speaker 7 (20:55):
How are you?

Speaker 4 (20:56):
I'm good?

Speaker 1 (20:57):
Thank you?

Speaker 4 (20:57):
What are your thoughts? Pick aside? Do you agree with Sharay?
Do you agree with Sanya? Who should have paid for
the birthday dinner? Should have have been Charaise man? Or
is it everybody for themselves?

Speaker 14 (21:08):
Because I feel like if you invited them, everything should
be taken care of or if you knew.

Speaker 15 (21:12):
They had to pay their own then you should have
told them ahead of time.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
Okay, it wasn't organized enough like you said. Man, We
thank you for weighing in.

Speaker 11 (21:21):
Thank you, Dre.

Speaker 4 (21:24):
What's app Who do you agree with? Do you think
that Martell should have paid for Charai's birthday dinner for everybody?
Or do you think that everybody should be paying for themselves?

Speaker 9 (21:34):
The other people with the.

Speaker 6 (21:36):
Men they should have been doing what they should have
been doing, like he could have paid for the girls
or whatnot. But I'm not about to let.

Speaker 13 (21:42):
A man to hear.

Speaker 6 (21:43):
I'm not about to go there, eat and then be like, oh,
I ain't got no money and then let another man
feed me. Okay, that's.

Speaker 4 (21:53):
Half the bill, and then people just come up with
the rest.

Speaker 6 (21:58):
Yeah, what they say, closed mouth, don't get big or
if the time you shouldn't be there, if you ain't
got the money to go eat, then you should or
at least say something like, well I ain't got it,
i'ld let it go support my girl or you know.
But as far as the dudes, if there's more dudes there,
they want to be for free. Nah, they ain't.

Speaker 4 (22:16):
Yo, don't need for free guys, all right, So that's
one first. It's tied up right now to is that
the rule?

Speaker 1 (22:22):
No guys eat for free?

Speaker 4 (22:23):
That's right, you guys ain't guys. That's not your daddy.

Speaker 6 (22:28):
You goddamn my homeboy.

Speaker 9 (22:31):
All right, that's cool.

Speaker 6 (22:32):
But my girls friends her boyfriend.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
No, I don't even know you. So you never was
at a situation where you had something going on and
then your your your friends, your girls friends had a
guy with them, and you just took care of the
whole bell. You never did that.

Speaker 6 (22:46):
No, I say, I look out for your bell, but him,
I don't a'tn know him. He better do something. I
go to work, just like everybody else, you know, I
mean freaking be there.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
All right, thank you for where it is.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
He's very passionate about it. Okay, love, see what I mean?
Thank you? All right, guys, Well it looks like it's
a tie. Two people were for charae and two people
more for Sonya. I've never seen people so divided on
a TI.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Yeah, I guess though.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
I will say this, if you're at home and you
didn't even go to the dinner, you shouldn't have to
pay yo, Yes, exactly. All right, Well, when we come back,
we have a yet, and let's talk about the blind Side. Okay,
bad enough that that story is not one hundred percent true.
But now there's some fall out with the family who
allegedly took in this young black athlete. All right, it's

(23:42):
way up with Angela. Ye yet next Oh, she's about.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
To blow the lead off this spot. Let's get it.
Angela's feeling that yet, come and get to see.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
Yes, it is way up with Angela. Ye Angela yee.
And Mano is here.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
Let's go.

Speaker 4 (23:56):
All right, we having a good time, great time, yes,
things all right, Well, let's get into some ut stage.
Still has announced that she is leaving ESPN after sixteen years,
and she said that is to exercise her First Amendment
rights more freely now. She had some issues previously and
she ended up suing. She sued the network in its
parent company, Disney last April over the circumstances that led

(24:20):
to her being taken off the air in twenty twenty one.
She had claimed the network breached her contract over its
reaction to remarks that she made in a podcast interview
where she spoke out against Disney's vaccine mandate, and she
also had some things to say about President Obama for
identifying as black and not biracial. She said that after

(24:41):
that she faced retaliation. So now she is saying, life update,
having successfully settled my case with ESPN Disney, I've decided
to leave so I can exercise my First Amendment rights
more freely. I'm grateful for so many wonderful experiences over
the past sixteen years, and I'm excited for my new chapter.
So that is what she's doing now. I'm sure we're

(25:03):
going to hear more about it. But ESPN did offer
her half a million dollars to settle the lawsuit, according
according to Front Office Sports, they reported that back in June,
all Right now let's talk about this movie, The blind Side.
There's a lot of messiness going on with this movie.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
So old movie though.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
Yeah, so this is based on Michael Orr. He was
the inspiration for this two thousand and nine biographical sports
drama The blind Side. So one thing about that movie, right,
we always knew is that it was based on a
true story, right I remember. Initially Michael Orr took issue
with the fact that he was portrayed as unintelligent and
that it perpetuated negative racial stereotypes. Well, now he is

(25:44):
seeking to end the conservatorship between him and the family.
That was a great movie, by the way, I thought
when I first saw it, because it was based on
a true story, that it was true. But it looks
like he's saying that a lot of the facts in
that in that movie are not true. He also says
that they use their conservatorship of him and made a

(26:05):
deal with the producers at that movie, which by the way,
did win an oscar to get them in their two
biological children millions of dollars in royalties, he said, by comparison,
and he got nothing, despite the fact that the movie
could not have existed without him. And they've also continued
to call Michael or their adopted son in the year since,
which he argued to help promote the woman the mom
Leanne her books and her career as a motivational speaker.

(26:30):
So these are the allegations that Michael is making. So
he was never legally adopted by the family. He did
have a conservatorship, and he's saying that he was tricked
into signing away his rights. So now he's filing a
petition and he wants to get out of this conservatorship.
All right, now, I will say the family has responded

(26:51):
to this lawsuit against them, And according to the Sun
Sean you remember him in the movie The Little Boy,
and that was like his best friend in the movie.
He went on bar stool Radio on Monday, and here's
what he has to say about the money and whether
or not the family profited from this conservatorship.

Speaker 16 (27:09):
From the money, I was around my house at the
time and I met my dad for lunch and he
gave me the check and like we get paid off
a thing like yeah, Nate, it's made so much money
now that like they can't hide it. I think I
think there's like two and a half percent kicker and
I bet through that we've probably we vesn me personally
only because I can speak for that, I made like
sixty seventy grand. Of the course the last four or

(27:29):
five years that comes in, like the first year was
like a fourteen thousand ar check and it was like
an eight and seven whatever so on, so forth down.
That meant that up, but it was just start off
a little higher.

Speaker 6 (27:37):
Than if it went down.

Speaker 4 (27:39):
So he's saying that he personally only made sixty or
seventy thousand dollars in royalties with what the family made, right,
he's talking about what he made. He also said that
he loves Mike. He said, I love Mike at sixteen,
I love Mike at thirty seven, and I will love
him at sixty seven. And so he's saying that he
also does not believe that Michael or has learned about
the Conservatives ship in February. He said, if he says

(28:00):
he found out in February, I find that hard to believe.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
And so you know, those based on true stories is
never really yeah true all the time.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
And I will say that if anybody should have benefited
from that movie, it should be Michael.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
Orr, right, because it was about him and the family, by.

Speaker 4 (28:16):
The way, sold up their conglomerate of fast food franchises
for two hundred million dollars. So they're saying, why would
we want a profit off of him? And we have
made all this money off of other things. I guess
that's their explanation, all right. But we'll keep you guys
updated because I'm sure more details and facts are going
to end up coming out as we're watching what is happening,
and that is your Yet when we come back, we

(28:37):
have under the radar. These are the stories that are
not necessarily in the front page news, but they are
flying under the radar. You still need to know about him.
It's way up at Angela Yee under the radar. It's
way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee.

Speaker 5 (28:49):
And Mano is here.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
No, man Wow, you don't play with that job. My
drop every time.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
And these are the under the radar stories. We got
to get right into this one. This is in my
gum Marie, Alabama, the Montgomery Riverfront. The man who had
the chair that hit the woman over the head with
the chair that was on the ground. Yes, Reggie Ray
is his name. And remember the police were looking for
him to turn himself in. Well, he went ahead and
did that, and his attorney is Lee merrit to a

(29:15):
right attorney, Lee Merritt, And he has a GoFundMe that
go fund me two hundred and seventy five thousand dollars
was the goal. And guess what that money is there?

Speaker 2 (29:24):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (29:25):
Reggie Ray turned himself and he's forty two years old
on Friday. That was for disorderly conduct charges and he
was released the following morning. Now, Lee Merrett wrote, mister
Reggie Ray is out. He's in good spirits. He got
a speeding ticket on the way home, but he was
relieved to discover the community showed up for him and
others in such a strong way. Good for him, Yes,
and he is participating in this whole investigation, so he's

(29:47):
doing what he's supposed to do right now. And now
the funds, by the way, from that GoFundMe is going
to be used to pay for medical bills, lost wages, earnings,
professional services, travel, lodging and expenses. So that's what that
money is.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
I can't fight without no money, so.

Speaker 4 (30:02):
That's right, all right, And this is really sad, and
this is why I am pro choice. A thirteen year
old girl in Mississippi gave birth to a boy. She
was raped as well as impregnated by a stranger, and
then was unable to get an abortion. Now, the mother
of the girl, they're using the name Ashley as a pseudonym,
that's not her real name, and the report she was
looking to get an abortion for her daughter but was

(30:23):
told that the closest provider was in Chicago, that is
more than a nine hour drive from their home. So
now this thirteen year old girl is entering the seventh
grade as a mom.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
All right, awful man.

Speaker 4 (30:37):
Yes, the mother said it was just too expensive. She
couldn't travel, she couldn't take time off from work. She said,
I don't have the funds for all of this. And
so now this was and this is what I was
always saying, Right, when people who have money, they'll be
able to afford to travel to get their services, they
need to get to take off from work to do
all of those things. But this really does disproportionately affect

(30:58):
people who want to make a decision but don't have
the finances to be able to go and get the
help and the care that they need.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
And then with circumstances like that, she got raped, Yes, right,
so she now she has to be a mother at thirteen,
Yes she does.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
And just imagine the trauma that you're going to face
from something like that. And you know, last summer, a
local newspaper in Ohio reported that a ten year old
who was raped had to travel to Indiana for an
abortion because of restrictions in her state. And the man
that actually raped her was found guilty in that case
and got a sentence of life imprisonment. But that ten
year old girl had to try not only am I

(31:35):
dealing with this, but now I gotta get on a
flock exactly, all right. And Illinois has become the first
state to regulate kid influencers. And so what they're saying
now is that a lot of these kids are doing
things on social media and they don't even know what
the ramifications are for that. So what this means, this law,

(31:56):
this local law goes into effect January first, so kids
on social media are added to the state's child labor law.
Kids under sixteen have to be compensated if within a
thirty day period, they are in at least thirty percent
of a video or online content for which the adult,
even if it's your parent or caregiver is being paid,
so the parent is being paid, okay, all right, and

(32:20):
then they set aside those gross earnings in a trust
account and the kid gets that money at eighteen.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
Okay, I'm not mad at it.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
Pay those kids, Pay them kids, all right, And that
is you're under the radar. We do have the Way
Up mixed coming at the top of the hour. Plus
million millia is going to be joining us today, all right?
Is the Way Up with Angela?

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Yee?

Speaker 2 (32:38):
Sure she's about to blow the lid ab off this bot.
Let's get it. Oh ye angelus feeling that yee tea,
Come and get the tea.

Speaker 4 (32:44):
Yes, it's way yup with Angela. Ye, I'm Angela yee
And Mano is here?

Speaker 5 (32:48):
No Mayna new Mano.

Speaker 4 (32:51):
All right. Well, looks like Kiki Palmer is getting the
ultimate revenge. She's going to be starring in Usher's new
music video. Why did she break up with the yet boyfriend?
I mean, I guess so, you know, because I'm sure
he is really irritated about this air And just as
a reminder, Kiki's baby daddy did not like the fact

(33:15):
that she was dressed a certain way at the Usher concert.
He said you a mom, and that turned into a
whole thing on social media. He said, it's the outfit though,
you a mom. So now she is starring in Usher's
video you want to talk about petty Baby? We hit
below the belt over here, all right, and Kayla Ray

(33:36):
has announced that she has a new EP coming soon.
It's called Blue Moon, and she said it's going to
be five songs, and so get ready for that one.
And then I know you guys have been watching in
Maui these unfortunate wildfires that have been happening and people
are dying, all right, The County of Maui explained on Sunday.
And one thing that happened is Oprah was there. She

(33:57):
was helping out, and they said that she was turned
away because she had a camera crew with her, right,
So people were upset about that, and so they wanted
to make sure they explained. So they said to clarify,
Oprah was able to visit our shelter, and we thank
her for instructing media journalists and camera crews to remain outside.
So it wasn't just her, it was all you know, media,

(34:18):
because of course media is trying to cover things. Yeah,
So I said, people were going in on Oprah, like,
oh my god, everything doesn't have to be a you know.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
A pressed today.

Speaker 4 (34:27):
Yeah, but she was just there helping. And then all
the camera cups had to wait outside said it wasn't
just her, it was everybody. They said, her visit inside
of the shelter today was truly heartwarming, and we appreciate
her understanding of our policy of having no camera cups
or reporters accompanying dignitaries and celebrities in our emergency shelters.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
But she was there.

Speaker 4 (34:46):
She was handing out pillows to the evacuees and things
like toiletries and so on and so forth. Now, I
don't know if you saw this story also along with that,
because you know, these Malee wildfires have been, I mean, insane,
but I also saw that people were upset that Paris
Hilton was vacationing not far from there. You know, so far,
ninety six people have been killed in these wildfires. And

(35:08):
she was seen on the beaches of Hawaii with her
son Phoenix also in her arms as well, and it
was about thirty miles away from the town that was
devastated there.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
Well, they want her to do them, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (35:20):
She was there where her son. They said, initially it
was a family trip. She's been traveling to Maui since
she was born. She has many friends and family there,
and it's a second home for her. Her uncle's restaurant
and that town did burn down, so they decided to
shorten their trip and go to see their family and
help where they could. When they arrived, they gathered supplies,
donated to the local shelters and people in need and

(35:40):
made significant contributions. Got it all right, So I just
want to point that out because people were very upset
to see her out there vacationing. Tracy Morgan, he recently
was on Today with Hoda and Jenna and he's talking about, oh,
zempic that is actually helping him lose weight. Here's what
he had to say about that.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
I get up back seven every morning, yeah, and I'm
in the gym at ten. Yeah, and then I'll go
back to sleep. By the way, you've been working on
your body and on your health.

Speaker 13 (36:08):
Oh that's ozimpic.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
Crazy.

Speaker 4 (36:16):
But you know they're about to cut out that ozembic
for us. Yeah, well, insurance got it. He definitely got it.
Nine hundred to one thousand dollars a month. But for
some people who are pre diabetic or diabetic, that's going
to be harder for them.

Speaker 1 (36:30):
To get him. Well, maybe they won't cut it out
for them.

Speaker 4 (36:34):
Yeah, I mean Chelsea Handler admitted that she took it.
Raven Simone says she takes it because she has pre
diabetes and her family has a history of diabetes as well.
But definitely check out our interview with doctor ROMIEK.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Hunt.

Speaker 4 (36:45):
He's an obesity specialist and he talked all about ozempic
and magobi on that interview. All right, and let's talk
about the baby and Danny Lay they have put aside
their issues and celebrated their daughter's second birthday party to
all right, she turned too on Friday and they had
a lu Al themed party and there were clips on

(37:07):
social media. The two of them looked like they were
very happy to be with their child. And co parenting
is an important thing and not an easy thing for
a lot of people to do.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
It's not, but that's good when you can come together.
My daughter's having a eleventh birthday this week. Oh play,
I love it. Play. Yeah, she runs me no respect, So.

Speaker 4 (37:25):
You're taking her to the Bahamas. Shout out to everybody
in the Bahamas. We love it there, shout out to
my guy Dez out there. Well, let's talk about that
because sometimes it's hard to see the other side in
the midst of having a not so great co parenting situation. Awful,
it's war of the roses. But then to break through
to the other side that has to be an amazing feeling.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
Yeah, you're so much. I've been through war.

Speaker 4 (37:51):
Yeah, I remember. I remember when you first had your daughter.
I remember even with your son.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
My son, my son was it was probably worse. I
had a song talking about killing my big mother. Okay, em.

Speaker 4 (38:02):
But you know what, let's talk about that when we
come back, because that co parenting thing is something that
a lot of people need to figure out. A lot
of people going through it right now. And I would
love to hear you give your situation and then your
advice on what people can do to actually make it
through to the other side. When we come back, we'll
talk about it. You can also hit us up at
way up with ye at mano so hard at Angela yee.
Let us know what you have going on and maybe

(38:24):
some of your tips too. It's way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
Yeah, you back at it. Bring in the way up
with Angela.

Speaker 4 (38:33):
Yee is on, yes, it is way up with Angela Yee.
I'm Angela Yee.

Speaker 1 (38:37):
And Maino is yes, yes, yes.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
I love the fact that I bought some snacks for
the room and we love these snacks and healthy snacks.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
Little almonds yeah, little granola.

Speaker 4 (38:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
I'm trying to make sure we're healthy. No pizza, yeah,
you like it. No shots.

Speaker 4 (38:52):
Another thing that no shots, Not today tomorrow for sure though.
Now another thing that we were just talking about right
now is co parenting. Right the baby and Danny Lay
they celebrated their daughter's second birthday and they've had a
long struggle to get to this point where the two
of them are now being able to celebrate for the
sake of the child, to co parent together. May know

(39:14):
you have two children, yep, And so let's talk about
your son first, right, who does not have you tattooed
on him? And he's how old now, twenty twenty years old?
So what was that like for you twenty years ago?
Because the Mano twenty years ago, it was waldough.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
It was a lot, it was a lot of there
was a lot of turmo you man like, I mean,
I really feel like, if my son's mother could have
put money on my head, knocked me off, right, she
would have did it.

Speaker 4 (39:41):
I wonder how much that would have been.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
Yeah, man, pretty pricey.

Speaker 4 (39:45):
Now, okay, so I want to know what she was
doing that was wrong and what you take accountability.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
I take accountability for everything. First of all, I just
think my my disposition, you know, a lot of times.
And then we was having We was clashing because I
was supposed to be a boyfriend figure, a husband figure,
and I was having issues dealing with that because I
had just came home from prison. My son was born
while I was locked up, and then every experience that

(40:12):
I was having at that point was new. I was
trying to get in the industry, I was trying to
get out of the street. So we were clashing there,
and it was like I was failing at being a boyfriend.
So now you know, you can't see your son, and
you know I was failing in those areas. But I
didn't know how to cheat because I had never even
been in this situation before. Everything for me was new,

(40:34):
So it was just a lot. I mean, I can't definitely,
I would never put it all on her.

Speaker 4 (40:38):
Right, I was saying because parties, there's issues because you
know what your relationship is so different when you're in prison, right,
She's used to being able to and you probably also
thought it would be different too when you came home.
You didn't know what that was going to be like.

Speaker 1 (40:51):
I didn't because I came home and now I'm a
father and a husband figure right, I'm living with my
son and her and his mother, And it was just
a lot of responsibility on me. At one time, just
just sat right on me almost ten years. Ten years.
But I went and did a volation when I came

(41:11):
home because she got pregnant when I was when I
came home, and then I had to do a year
of volation. So when I came home back off the valation,
he was three months old. So now I got a
world of responsibilities. I'm still kind of in the street,
and then I'm on parole, so it was a lot
going on. I was messing up on my relationship. So
now I was like, gonna cut these clothes up, I'm
gonna call your po and then it was a lot.

(41:32):
It was a lot. It was she was hurt, she
was hurt, and then we were young, so I didn't
think I don't think that we both understood the place
that I was in as far as being a young
man that just missed all of his twenties right, most
of his twenties, and now he has all this responsibility

(41:52):
on his lap. So it was a lot of back
and forth. And then you know me, I'm pretty aggressive,
and it's it just it just didn't work. And we
had a lot of distaste for each other even after that.
So when I got when I got to the point
where I just couldn't deal with it no more. I left,
and and I had because I had wanted my family

(42:13):
to be together originally I wanted that. I wanted that,
and and it bothers me that my son don't even
remember that. He don't remember the time that we was
all together. That bothers me.

Speaker 4 (42:23):
But at least he doesn't remember the dysfunction too.

Speaker 1 (42:26):
Nah, he don't really remember that, but he does remember.
He knew that we didn't really get along and we
didn't really talk. But what the thing was is that
me and him was so tight that he spent most
of his time with me and Jersey and stuff.

Speaker 4 (42:38):
He did it take for you to be able to
see him when you wanted.

Speaker 1 (42:40):
To know it that that was always short lived, right,
I think not seeing your son, you know, that was
a couple of days. It was never I never went months.

Speaker 4 (42:51):
And you guys are successfully co parenting now.

Speaker 1 (42:54):
Right, that's that's a little more easier. I don't think
we had the same tension that.

Speaker 4 (42:59):
I had because they weren't those expectations ever relationships.

Speaker 1 (43:03):
Yeah, it kind of, but it just wasn't the same.
I think her disposition and my son mothers is a
lot different, and we didn't have a lot of the
excuse me, the same back and forth that we had.
But excuse me, don't get me wrong. He been drama. Yeah,
it's gonna be drama.

Speaker 9 (43:19):
You know what.

Speaker 1 (43:20):
Anybody not having drama with you? Yeah, that's pretty you
know what. I'm agree with that. There's no way to
there's no way to be in my life and not
have drama with.

Speaker 4 (43:28):
Me unless you just let him run over you and
do what he wants.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
Yeah. So to both my kids mothers, I thank you
raised my kids and it's love and its respect, you know.

Speaker 4 (43:38):
But I deserve a reward.

Speaker 1 (43:40):
Yeah, I post them up for Mother's Day award.

Speaker 4 (43:44):
Okay, I remember your son's mother was gonna be on
that reality she did do that, yeah, And.

Speaker 1 (43:49):
I was I know you was tight. I was like
a girl because nobody told me about it, and I'm like,
you're gonna be in a reality reality show and she
was like no, I found out she was doing it.

Speaker 4 (44:01):
You know, Okay, and then look at you, all right, Well,
I'm glad you made it to that space. So for
everybody else out there, there is hope. All right, Well,
thank you for sharing that. Hey, we appreciate it. And
Flo is going to be joining us very shortly. Right,
it's the way up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
You ride the way up with Angela Ye.

Speaker 4 (44:24):
Yes, it is way up with Angela Yee. And as
I was telling y'all earlier, once again, I don't know
what's going on with Mano, but he stays.

Speaker 1 (44:35):
On this toilet.

Speaker 4 (44:36):
Baby, is there an issue? Do you have a problem?
But I guess when you work somewhere, you have to
end up going at work like that. You spend too
much time there every single day. At some point you're
gonna have to end up. You know, as much as
we all would rather be in our own home, sometimes
you're gonna have to go out.

Speaker 7 (44:54):
Well, I go more here than I do at home.

Speaker 1 (44:57):
Are you on a.

Speaker 4 (44:58):
Schedule, Dan, that's our producer. You're on a schedule, so
every day around.

Speaker 12 (45:02):
A certainti like twelve fourteen hours a day. It's not
like you're going to be doing that at home, right And.

Speaker 4 (45:08):
It's very important that you go every day too. By
the way, if you don't have the proper amount of fiber,
that's necessary. But I do want to make sure y'all
know y Day is coming up, and it's going to
be August twenty seventh. I'm really excited for it.

Speaker 6 (45:20):
This year.

Speaker 4 (45:20):
This is the first year that I've had my own

started actually in February and so next February it'll be
a full year. By the way, I'm already planning a
one year anniversary some type of event, but as I shift.
But for angela Ye Day, I want to shout out
to everybody at the Barclays, our amazing New York Liberty team,

(45:42):
our amazing Brooklyn Nets team, Joe and Clara wou Si,
also Greg Bishop. They really make sure that we're taking
care of. The Barclays is an amazing place to have
an event. They actually have the outside of the Barclays
set up for community events, and when everything was happening
with all of the protests going on and people were
gathering outside there, they wanted to make sure that space

(46:03):
was for things like that, for people to be able
to express themselves and use that space. So we're having
a totally free event there. Angela Yee Day, a lot
of performances, Nessa Preppy, I'm Excited, DJ Team, Ricky Blaze,
Home and Abroad featuring Navy is gonna be there, Ao J,
some Afrobeats, London Hill, Capella, Gray jem Kuf. It's gonna

So make sure you guys come and join me. You

fruit Loop is her new single.

Speaker 1 (46:50):
We got to clean that up. It's way up with Angela.

Speaker 4 (46:52):
Yee yays you back at it in the way Up
with Angelae is on What's Up? Yeah for Angela Ye,
I'm Angela yeh And we got a little Milly here
with us.

Speaker 5 (47:04):
What's up.

Speaker 4 (47:05):
Congratulations to you first of all for your VMA nomination.
Thank you.

Speaker 5 (47:09):
I'm so excited about that.

Speaker 17 (47:10):
By the way, people go vote Okay, yes and makesure
me please and.

Speaker 4 (47:14):
Also Golden Platinum. Yes, last you saw a lot of
great things popping off.

Speaker 17 (47:18):
Yes, I feel like it's just happening in the right time.
Like you know, things kind of take a little slow
turn from me, but I feel like I kind of
like that, like because I know I deserve it.

Speaker 4 (47:28):
And so you mean, just as fires from the beginning,
because you've been knowing this is what you want to
do since you was a little girl.

Speaker 17 (47:34):
Yes, ever since I was like ten eleven. That was
like I made up in my mind, like this is
what I want to do.

Speaker 4 (47:40):
And I know you even had like a girl group
at school. Yeah, so were you guys rapping or singing?

Speaker 5 (47:46):
We was rapping.

Speaker 17 (47:47):
We had like one singer, like it was two rappers,
me and her, and then we would like recruit other girls,
but like nobody really could, Like I don't know, like
they couldn't really keep up because we was really hungry.

Speaker 1 (47:59):
Are there?

Speaker 4 (47:59):
Video was of like performances floating around.

Speaker 5 (48:02):
Yes, I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 17 (48:04):
We got one video on YouTube where we performed in
front of our high school and like they boot us.

Speaker 4 (48:09):
What Yeah it was your friends, No the school. Did
you know what I'm saying? But those your friends, it's
your high school.

Speaker 5 (48:15):
Yeah it was my high school.

Speaker 17 (48:16):
But we was freshman's though, and they were like seniors
and juniors.

Speaker 4 (48:19):
Oh that's hate.

Speaker 5 (48:20):
Yeah, they was hating real bad.

Speaker 4 (48:21):
But but now objectively looking back, were y'all good? I
could see.

Speaker 17 (48:26):
I mean we was we was pretty like new and
then like I don't even think they was listening to
us because we was a cappella freestyling, ok.

Speaker 5 (48:33):
And then they didn't even like didn't get give us
a chance. They were like boo.

Speaker 4 (48:37):
I was like, whoa, this is really embarrassing.

Speaker 5 (48:41):
But yeah, I mean we got a lot of followers
that day on Instagram.

Speaker 1 (48:44):
So okay.

Speaker 4 (48:44):
See, so no matter what, you always could find something
positive to come out of it. And I know those
same people like, oh they probably like I saw her
perform when she was younger, I was up on her
purs even though they was up there like.

Speaker 10 (48:56):
Boom it was.

Speaker 17 (48:57):
It's cool though, like I feel like it's it's character development,
like I needed to go through that, I guess to
like see what it's like to.

Speaker 5 (49:05):
Be talked about.

Speaker 17 (49:06):
And you know, I feel like it was just like
practice to be like where I'm at right now.

Speaker 4 (49:10):
Right now, I'm talking to Flow Milly. I want to
ask you some questions, right to learn more about Flow
Milly and things that you do in your regular life.
All right, So ti to Halo, you talk about keeping
him on his toes? So what are some things that
you do to keep a man on his toes?

Speaker 17 (49:26):
Ooh, I always come up with like a set of rules,
like non negotiables, Like I feel like it's important to
kind of treat yourself like with the utmost respect because.

Speaker 5 (49:37):
That's how a God's going to match that.

Speaker 17 (49:38):
So it's like I always try to do what other
women are not doing, which is like having standards, like
having a certain.

Speaker 5 (49:45):
Time that I don't want to like talk to you.
I mean I might make an exception.

Speaker 17 (49:51):
I might make an exception for my favorite but like
I don't know, like I'm still figuring that out.

Speaker 5 (49:57):
So but yeah, I definitely now hold that I got.

Speaker 4 (50:00):
I don't know what these non non negotiables.

Speaker 9 (50:02):
You don't make me say it.

Speaker 17 (50:03):
I want to know, all right, I'm not talking to
you before eleven o'clock or after ten pm?

Speaker 5 (50:10):
Why is that?

Speaker 17 (50:11):
Because like those are booty call hours, and I feel
like if you haven't deserved, like no, you don't want
to like create a space where they feel comfortable.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
To like call you. You know, all right?

Speaker 4 (50:23):
Question though in the work that you do, right, you
might not be available to talk until after ten pm.

Speaker 5 (50:29):
I know that's the only thing.

Speaker 1 (50:31):
That I know is there.

Speaker 17 (50:32):
It's not, but like I don't know, some got to give,
you know, you got to have some type of like
discipline with What about a text?

Speaker 4 (50:40):
Can he text you after and just to say good night?

Speaker 1 (50:42):
No?

Speaker 4 (50:42):
Or it just was thinking about you when you have
a moment called no.

Speaker 2 (50:48):
I mean.

Speaker 17 (50:50):
Maybe for my favorite yeah, but most of the time
I don't got time for them for real, for real really,
Ever since I started becoming a rapper, it's been hard
to like balance like that aspect of my life. Everything
else is just like good house, car, everything work good.
But like I guess, because I work so much, I

(51:11):
don't know.

Speaker 4 (51:12):
I tell you just got a new car too.

Speaker 5 (51:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (51:14):
How many cars do you have?

Speaker 2 (51:15):
Well?

Speaker 5 (51:16):
I have two right now.

Speaker 1 (51:17):
Okay, that's a good feeling.

Speaker 5 (51:19):
Yeah, it feels good.

Speaker 17 (51:21):
I feel like, you know, album coming out is like
perfect time to just pop myself.

Speaker 4 (51:26):
So right now I'm talking to Palo Millie. And so
you're from Mobile, Alabama? Yes, And so that's like, how
far is that from Montgomery? You know why I'm asking?

Speaker 5 (51:36):
That's like two hours?

Speaker 4 (51:37):
Yeah, okay, two hours from Montgomery. Have you ever been
to that riverfront dock where the melee went down? First
of all, I was so proud watching that vide. What
did you think when you saw?

Speaker 1 (51:49):
And have you ever been there?

Speaker 2 (51:50):
Yes?

Speaker 7 (51:51):
I have.

Speaker 5 (51:51):
My sister. Isn't Alabama State in Montgomery?

Speaker 2 (51:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 17 (51:53):
My sister went to Alabama State. She just graduated, So
I will always go up there. I've never been to
the riverfront, but I'm not surprised. I'd be telling people
all the time, like Alabama people is not the people
to like. I grew up around all that, so it's
normal to me. I always tell him like he'd be
sending me stuff on first forty eight like that, and

(52:14):
I'm like, damn, like that's normal to me, like seeing
girls fight, like waking up to fights every day in
the hood, like so they don't play like that wasn't
surprising to me at all.

Speaker 4 (52:24):
So what was life like for you in Mobile, Alabama?
Because I know you grew up going to church and perform.
Did you perform in church?

Speaker 17 (52:31):
Yes, all the time, Like that's how I got into music,
like I had to. I wouldn't say I was forced,
but I was kind of forced to like do solos
and be.

Speaker 5 (52:40):
In the choir.

Speaker 17 (52:40):
So after school every day, I'm going to church on
the weekends and when my grandparents going to church, Like
I was heavily involved in church. So like being on
stage and singing and being in plays, it was easy
for me to like get used to that. But growing
up in Alabama was very crazy, like you always saw something.
It was always I'm going on, like I don't know,

(53:03):
it's not really much positives.

Speaker 5 (53:05):
But really it's bad out there.

Speaker 17 (53:07):
But like I still appreciate being from there because it
like helped me become strong, I guess, like, but it
is very tough, Like I know, Young blew is Mobile,
Alabama City, m Ralo and no Cap.

Speaker 4 (53:23):
Did you like really interact with them? Before all of this, or.

Speaker 5 (53:26):
I did with Young Blue a little bit.

Speaker 17 (53:29):
I kind of knew about Blue since I was in
middle school because he had like motion in the city
and everything, and then he blew up later after that.
But I talked to Blue and then pretty much all
of them. But we don't really like communicate like that.

Speaker 1 (53:42):
All right.

Speaker 4 (53:43):
That'd be dope though, because it's like a movement for
the whole city, and I'm sure a lot of people
are watching that.

Speaker 5 (53:48):
Yeah, it's really dope.

Speaker 17 (53:50):
I try to go back as much as I can,
Like for Marti Gras, I'm gonna go back, all right.

Speaker 4 (53:54):
Well, f though, Milly is here. We got some more
with her when we come back. It's way you put
Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (54:01):
You've got way up.

Speaker 1 (54:04):
What's up?

Speaker 4 (54:04):
This way up with Angela Yee and Flo Milli is here.
And this is a good time too, because it's the
fiftieth anniversary of hip hop, as we all know, and
so who are some of the people that for the
fifty anniversary hip hop that you would shout out that
you would say the reason why I do what I
do is because of this person.

Speaker 5 (54:20):
Oh my gosh, it's so many.

Speaker 17 (54:22):
I could start with MC light Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott,
Lil Wayne icons icons and even though like Beyonce and
Rihanna they're like more R and B, those were the
people and the list goes on and on and on.

Speaker 4 (54:36):
I know you're like, I don't want to forget anybody
in your household growing up, because I noticed that you
do pay homage to a lot of people that are
older than you, even with the SWV week. Yes, you
know a song that you did, so was that like
the type of music that was playing in your household
growing up?

Speaker 17 (54:53):
Oh my gosh, it's still b V music, Soul, Child, D'Angelo,
Jill Scott, Erica, I do really all those girl groups.

Speaker 5 (55:02):
It was one other one. I think it was called Black,
Oh I remember Black.

Speaker 2 (55:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 17 (55:06):
My mom, she she really like was like that R
and B soul, but she also had like this gangst
aside to her that would listen to like Webb and
UGK and all them.

Speaker 4 (55:16):
So she loves your music.

Speaker 5 (55:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (55:21):
And of course you have the new single out right now,
fruit Loops. Okay, so we're getting ready for this new project.
Do you have a date yet, because I know you
keep saying it's coming, It's coming.

Speaker 17 (55:30):
I don't have a date yet, but I want that
to be like a surprise, but it's coming very soon.
But in the meantime, I'm gonna keep feeding my fence.

Speaker 4 (55:39):
And that song is a song that I was like, whoever,
if she's talking about somebody in particular? Okay, he is
crying in the car right now, I hope he is.
So this is about somebody in particular. Now all of
my songs are Sorry for that man, Kim, but you know,
oh damn, did.

Speaker 1 (55:57):
Something just happen?

Speaker 6 (55:58):
No?

Speaker 5 (56:00):
No, I just when I'm off somebody, I just be.

Speaker 4 (56:02):
Like, so there's no coming back. When you off somebody,
no coming back.

Speaker 17 (56:06):
I'm a Capricorn me too, really, yeah, January, we don't
forget people, you.

Speaker 4 (56:10):
Know what, and you know what you do that I
do too. I'll just go ghosts.

Speaker 5 (56:14):
Yes, me too.

Speaker 4 (56:16):
I'm not trying to like have no closure.

Speaker 5 (56:18):
Yeah, because it's like, you know what you did, and
why am I explaining it to you?

Speaker 4 (56:22):
But who's going to mess this up?

Speaker 1 (56:23):
Now?

Speaker 2 (56:24):
What with you?

Speaker 5 (56:26):
I don't know, somebody, dumb ass son.

Speaker 4 (56:30):
Well, congratulations on everything you have going on. Make sure
y'all go out and vote for her for this MTV VMA.
So that she could win that, and congratulations platinum gold,
new album on the way. And I just love to
see the fact that this is something you knew you
wanted to do from when you were young, and you
really are doing it and making it happen and working hard.

Speaker 5 (56:49):
I appreciate it. We just get started, so all.

Speaker 4 (56:52):
Right, well make sure you come back when the album's out. Okay, Hello, Mellie,
thank you so much.

Speaker 5 (56:57):
All right, thank you.

Speaker 4 (56:58):
And when we come back, we have to ask ye.
I'm here with my award winning advice giving friend Mano
is way up at Angela Yee eight hundred two nine
two fifty one fifty. Ask ye is next?

Speaker 8 (57:08):
Everybody six, whether it's relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping
facts you should know.

Speaker 2 (57:14):
This is Askee.

Speaker 4 (57:15):
What's up? As way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela
Yee and the award winning advice giver Mano is here.
So and it's time for ask ye. Eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty. Hello, who's this?

Speaker 1 (57:28):
Hey?

Speaker 6 (57:28):
How you doing? This is?

Speaker 10 (57:29):
This is JR.

Speaker 4 (57:30):
Hey, JY. How are you feeling?

Speaker 13 (57:32):
I'm doing all right? How are you doing?

Speaker 4 (57:34):
But you sound a little down. I'm not gonna lie, yeah.

Speaker 1 (57:37):
Going through it, Okay, talk to us.

Speaker 13 (57:39):
Me and my girlfriend, we've been together for like sixteen
years in my past history, getting some things like I
was supposed to do while we lived together, we grew up,
got ourselves together, had a son, moving to a beautiful
home together, and she decided to want to seek revenge
for the things that I did years ago, which caused

(58:02):
us to be departed and break off family down and
separate me from my son and my family, which causes
me to wake up nights like two three in the
morning realizing she wasn't home and she was out being
with the next man when I'm just working, being loyal
and coming home, taking care of the bills and cutting

(58:23):
grass and doing what I'm supposed to do and own.
She just basically just felt like she wanted to just
get revenge, and I felt like it wasn't the right
time to be doing it. And she had already forgave
me right.

Speaker 1 (58:35):
If she already forgave you right, and it already penalized
you for what you did and got past what you did,
and then now she's cheating years later, She cheating because
she want to cheat.

Speaker 4 (58:45):
Bro, how about is your son my son.

Speaker 13 (58:47):
He's ten years old.

Speaker 4 (58:49):
Okay, it's part of this that you don't want to
be separated from your son and you're concerned about not
being in the same household with him.

Speaker 13 (58:56):
Yeah, we basically shopped for the house and got our
house together out around. We did that because, like we're
established and we've grown up, and she decided to try
to do what she do to get me out the house.
And the word on the street is like she's trying
to bring the new guy in that. Oh, now you
have me looking in a hotel.

Speaker 1 (59:14):
Yo, homie, you got to stand on something, bro like,
this is not gonna work like she cheating because she
wanted cheat. She probably getting a little mataged at this point.
You got to stand on business right first of all,
I don't even think that it could probably work out well.

Speaker 4 (59:29):
All right, Jay, are a couple of things here with
the house. Let's talk about logistical things that you can control,
because certain things you can't control, right, Like, you cannot
control what this woman is going to do. She's going
to do what she wants. But I want to make
sure that you protect yourself and your relationship with your
son first and foremost. So when it comes to the
house whose name is it in?

Speaker 13 (59:50):
Uh, Basically I use majority of my money to get
the house to put down because she didn't have it,
and uh, my name was supposed to be going down,
but she said my criminal history. She didn't want it
to affect from us getting the house. So I took
that in consideration of believe in her, and basically she
ended up getting adjusted her name, not knowing that the

(01:00:11):
whole time.

Speaker 4 (01:00:12):
I just want to make sure that you're preparing yourself
for everything that can go wrong, because I think sometimes
we believe in people. But as you can see, she
is a vindictive person and so she has definitely plotted
and planned against you, and so I just want to
make sure that you got to do what you need
to do to handle your responsibilities, just as far as financially,

(01:00:33):
as far as family wise with your son. I think
you need to be also plotting ahead too. You know,
it's a game of chess here. Now She's going to
be doing certain things and you can't just sit back
and let that happen. Yeah, what is it that you
still love about her? And why do you still want.

Speaker 1 (01:00:51):
To be with her?

Speaker 13 (01:00:52):
I mean, it's not even a fact that I even
want to be with her, the more about being that
I'm finding a lot of things out about her. It's
just that I just always look at it there. I
wanted to see him and his parents together. Yeah yeah,
I've been through it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
Yeah, so so did all of us. But sometimes it's
not like that, and you ain't gonna have no harmony,
You ain't gonna have no peace in a situation like that.
She proved to be a snake. So I mean, what
you're gonna do?

Speaker 4 (01:01:16):
I just want to say, sir j R. You got
a lawyer up now, now is the time for you
to be making sure that you're proactive and doing what
you need to do to protect your assets and to
make sure that you're able to see your son, because
I know that is a main priority of yours, making
sure that you have the visitation that you're supposed to get,
that you have the time with him that you're supposed
to get. But also we don't need you living in

(01:01:36):
a hotel. So now you also need to figure out
with the finances what you contributed, how can you make
sure that you're able to stand on your own two
feet and financially take care of yourself. So I highly
recommend you talking to a lawyer to make sure that
you're prepared for whatever might come your way, because, like
you said, you see what she's trying to do. You

(01:01:57):
need to know legally, what do you need to do
to protect yourself?

Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
Right? All right?

Speaker 4 (01:02:01):
Well, I just want you to handle your business Jr.
So that means get on the ball with that, Okay.
And I understand like you're not happy and it is
depressing when things like this can happen. Don't blame yourself.

Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
You did.

Speaker 4 (01:02:13):
What if she didn't want to be with you, she
should have told you that, then she shouldn't have forgiven you,
and she shouldn't have pretended to make the relationship work.
You know, if it was over for her, it should
have been over. So now you've done what you can do.
You can't take back the past, but what you can
do is work on what you have to handle for
the future.

Speaker 1 (01:02:28):
You right, and a good god don't work all the time.

Speaker 13 (01:02:31):
Yeah, I'll see that. I don't want to see that.
I was always told you know what I'm saying. You
changed your life around trying to do better.

Speaker 4 (01:02:36):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:02:37):
Listen, man, listen man. Go to the store, get you
your black outfit, all black that's your energy right there.
You got to return some of that energy.

Speaker 9 (01:02:44):
Bro.

Speaker 4 (01:02:45):
Well you can be a good guy. It's just got
to be with the right person.

Speaker 13 (01:02:48):
Yeah, you're definitely right. You're definitely right, but I definitely learned.

Speaker 4 (01:02:52):
Okay, all right, Well we're praying for you for real Jr.
Right now, I'm saying the prayer.

Speaker 13 (01:02:58):
Thank you so much, appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (01:02:59):
I can use it, all right, Bro, Thank you for
calling us, and good luck.

Speaker 4 (01:03:03):
