she did what she felt like she wanted to do.

Speaker 5 (01:49):
She did with her natural self.

Speaker 6 (01:51):
You will and they're still together. And he just doesn't know.
And some people felt like, oh, well you violated yourself
by doing that, and X, Y and Z. I'm not
here to judge, right, however, mano, it's very I just
want to understand.

I always say this. People ask me, like, how did
I end up getting into real estate at all? Buy
my first home in Brooklyn and Brownstone? It was really
because of Santi really, yeah, that's my you know. We
used to be roommates. We met in college. We both

(03:59):
went to Wesleyan Universe, and then afterward we lived together
in Brooklyn and she was buying a Brownstone and that
encouraged me to start looking. I never even thought about it, yeah,
until she was looking for a house. I went with
her on her journey and then she helped me a lot,
like in the process of me doing it, with getting
the house inspected, and giving me all different types of
advice because she was doing it, and so you know,

(04:20):
that's why you got to surround yourself.

Speaker 5 (04:21):
Are and she from is she from Brooklyn?

Speaker 6 (04:23):

She has her own cotton candy business called Dosal Sugar,
and she's doing her thing. She started from the ground,
from the mud, and I'm just seeing her continuously putting
her work in and the efforts starting to pay off.
So I just want to shine a light on her.
Tell her you know I love her and I'll see

(04:59):
her putting that work in.

Speaker 6 (05:00):
Okay, we love that.

that was brought to you by born in Roma, by
Valentino available at me. See's let me sprits myself right
now and we have a yet when we come back.
Hold on, let me sprit sprits Jonathan Majors. Let's talk
about all of the fallout that he is experiencing. He's

(06:19):
losing more situations and it looks like there might be
some expos's on the way.

Speaker 6 (06:24):
It's way up at the Angela Yee Walla.

Speaker 12 (06:27):
Just like the talk like they Angela Jean, like they
Angela Jean.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Man, She's spilling it all.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
This is yet well, yes, it is way up at
the Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee. And Maino is here. Yes,
Jasmine from the Jasmine brand dot Com is here.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
Good morning.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
All right, let's get into the et Jonathan Majors. Now
he's been dropped from multiple projects and this is according
to reports, So the Man in My Basement that was
based off of a Walter Mosley novel, okay, also an
ad campaign for the Texas Rangers MLBT, an unannounced fifth
Season's Oldest Reading biopic that he was supposedly up for.

(07:05):
All of these things. Now he's been I guess cut from.
In addition to that, we already talked about this yesterday,
but his management company and his publicists have also cut
ties with him. This is all following these domestic violence
allegations after a March twenty fifth incident where he had
a dispute with the women who had minor injuries to
her head and neck.

Speaker 6 (07:26):
She was taken to the hospital with those injuries.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
Wow, so everybody just cut them off.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
And from what I'm hearing, I was reading reports that
there's going to be a couple of articles that are
doing really deep research into exactly what happened. So I
guess they're doing somewhere digging and there might be things
that we don't know about yet that are about to surface.

Speaker 5 (07:50):
All right, mana, that's crazy, Yeah, that is crazy.

Speaker 6 (07:54):
All right.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
Now, since we're talking about that, let's talk about another
trial situation. Prize from the food Geez he testified in
his own trial yesterday. Now I have to say this, Okay,
I kind of felt.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
Him when he was I was talking about it.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
So basically, the whole trial is that he was funneling
money from this Malaysian businessman to the at the time
Barack Obama was running for presidents to that campaign, and
so he didn't realize he was violating any laws. So basically,
according to Priz, he said that this Malaysian billionaire, Joe Low,
gave him money because he wanted to take a picture.

(08:31):
He said he wanted to meet Barack Obama and take
a picture. Prize is like, it's gonna cost you a
million dollars. So the guy gives him a million dollars
and he's like, okay, good, I'll just take this money
and we'll have a dinner for Barack Obama as a fundraiser.
I'll pay some people they can make donations to come
and then I'll pocket the change, not knowing that you
can't do that.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
Okay, I didn't know you couldn't. You can't do that.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
Yeah, that's like funneling money from somebody I guess out
of the country. So, according to Priz, he said, I
thought I could just give my friends money to contribute
to the campaign. I gave my money to those people
to make the donations. He said some people actually didn't
donate and kept the money. And he said that he
thought the money was his money, and he said he
could have spent it however he wanted and not at

(09:14):
Lowe's direction.

Speaker 6 (09:15):
He said, I could have bought twelve elephants with it.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
So between seven hundred and eight hundred thousand dollars of
that money went to friends of Prize, who then donated
to the Obama Victory Fund Committee. Now Prosecutor said that
is funneling donations and that's illegal.

Speaker 6 (09:30):
And Pride said, I didn't know that you.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
Couldn't do that.

Speaker 6 (09:33):
Needed it?

Speaker 3 (09:33):
We Yeah, So he said, I just did something stupid
and that's what it is.

Speaker 6 (09:38):
So he said he just was doing what people do,
charging people for your services.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
Right, he's innocent.

Speaker 6 (09:43):
Free him, all right now.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
So Ja Boy's ex girlfriend, by the way, took the
stand and she's talking about the alleged abuse that she
suffered at his hands.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
She was also showing photos of her injuries.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
She said it was an assault and kidnapping allegedly that
occurred at his home and Malibu and reportedly lasted for
six hours. She said as she was leaving, an argument
ensued between her and one of his assistants. She said
she was knocked to the ground, kicked in the stomach,
and she said that Soldier Boy told her she was
going to die as he held a large gun to
her head.

Speaker 6 (10:12):
All right.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
She said that she was tied up with duct tape
and a showered to clean her up.

Speaker 6 (10:17):
From the beating that she received.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
And she says that he offered to the other assistant
over to let her go if she performed oral sex
on him. So we'll keep you guys updated on what's happening.
But she took the stand in the civil trial on
April eleventh and twelfth. She also showed her alleged injuries,
which included three fractured ribs, also texts and dms allegedly
sent to her by soldier boy. Those are all the

(10:38):
details that we know right now. Yikes, and that is
your Yet when we come back, we have about last night.

Speaker 6 (10:44):
Mana was in.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
These streets, and we'll tell you about a movie that
he previewed and he said it was really good. So
it's way up putting into lee about last night next
last night?

Speaker 2 (10:54):
So about last night last night?

Speaker 5 (10:57):
Last night?

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Dezi went down?

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Is way up at Angela? Ye, I'm Angela yee. Jasmine
from the Jasmin brand dot com is here, yes, and
Mayno is in the building. I sure am now, Mayno.

Speaker 6 (11:08):
About last night last night?

Speaker 3 (11:09):
You actually went out and saw the George Foreman movie.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
Yeah, I went to a premiere.

Speaker 6 (11:14):
What's it called, Big George Foreman?

Speaker 5 (11:15):
Big George Foreman, The.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
Miraculous story of the once and future heavyweight Champion of
the World.

Speaker 5 (11:22):
Right, how was it?

Speaker 6 (11:23):
George has an amazing story?

Speaker 5 (11:25):
Yeah, he really does. It comes from nothing, comes from
from poverty, like so many of us do. What I
like about the story is very inspiration on What I
got from it is that you never give up. It's
never over, it's never too late. You know. He went
back and was able to retain a title. Twenty years
later he.

Speaker 6 (11:46):
Was like the oldest Yeah, he was like heavyweighty. Okay.

Speaker 5 (11:50):
You know this is after he already left boxing and
became a preacher.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
And he left boxing because he almost died. Well, is
that what happened?

Speaker 5 (11:57):
Oh? No, he left boxing because he got the word
from God, and God spoke to him, and God told
him that he didn't need to be boxing, he needed
to be preaching, and that's what he did. He did
that for maybe like fifteen twenty years or something like that.
I can't remember that exact you know, exact time, right,
But the whole thing is about motivation and inspiration for me.
Never give up. It's never too it's never too late,

(12:19):
and it's never over. As long as you got the opportunity,
long as you breathing, long as you got your freedom,
you got every day he got another day to step
into your greatness.

Speaker 6 (12:29):
He went back into the ring at forty five years old.

Speaker 5 (12:31):
Yeah, wow, right, guess he was?

Speaker 6 (12:33):
He broke? Is that what?

Speaker 5 (12:34):
Yeah? He had he had entrusted his money to this
guy and he made some bad investments. He was stealing money,
and then he turned around and he didn't have no money.
So he had to, you know, do what he knew
how to do when he got back into the ring.
But he was able to not only get back in
the in a ring and win some bouts, but actually

(12:56):
win the title, so he became champion again forty plus.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
The guy that played in was Chris Davis. How did
he do?

Speaker 5 (13:03):
He did very well. I think they casting it really well.

Speaker 6 (13:05):
Okay, okay, and it comes out April twenty eighth, if
I'm not.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
If I'm not mistaken. Now do they also talk about
the George Forman grill in that? But I'm sorry, but
you cannot talk about George for mean, because he really
got a whole new life when we're only talking about
this because it's a real story obviously, So it's not
like we're giving away a plot of something we've never
seen before. This is really based on his real life story.
So the George Forman grill, right, and.

Speaker 5 (13:31):
They make mentions to it, They say you know that
that little grill investment you made is making a lot
of money. I bet it was, and it started.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
You know, did you have a George Foreman?

Speaker 6 (13:42):
I had a George Forman grill?

Speaker 5 (13:43):
I used to use that. But who was your dad?
Because I see you trying to go somewhere?

Speaker 4 (13:46):
No, man, did you who's Angelo? We're on the show Toga?

Speaker 5 (13:50):
I said, this is something else?

Speaker 6 (13:52):
May No what so defensive today? Tell secret.

Speaker 5 (13:58):
Man?

Speaker 4 (13:58):
Something going on with maynol to know what's kind hand
and calm him down.

Speaker 13 (14:04):
That's crazy.

Speaker 6 (14:05):
Tell us a secret.

Speaker 5 (14:07):
I had a George Forman.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
Okay, I did too.

Speaker 6 (14:10):
You all have one, all right? Said no?

Speaker 3 (14:16):
But that thank you for sharing that with us, because
now I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie.

Speaker 6 (14:22):
Yeah, and I'm a.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Huge boxing fan, so it's always fascinating to me when
things like this happened. Because he did become a preacher,
like you said, he was a minister, and then he
went back in the ring at forty five to become
the oldest champion heavyweight.

Speaker 14 (14:35):
Chance.

Speaker 5 (14:35):
It's never over ever, that's right.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
But it's also a story about how you got to
invest your money well so that if you didn't want
to do that you wouldn't have to, you know, and
then becoming an entrepreneur and George Foreman grill was no joke.

Speaker 6 (14:48):
Now we have air friars, we do. Who am to that?

Speaker 5 (14:51):
So we're not we're not using all.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
I haven't used it in years.

Speaker 6 (14:55):
I haven't really, so you'll still use it? No, you is, y'all?

Speaker 4 (15:02):
You a harmony?

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Well, speaking of tell us a Secret, Okay, when we

Speaker 6 (15:49):
And they were like, He's like, no, I'm judging.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
I'm like Maino. That's the whole point is that you're
not supposed to. People gotta feel like they can say anything.

Speaker 5 (15:57):
I just need understanding. Okay, I'm just looking for understanding.

Speaker 3 (16:01):

she doesn't know. Next month, I'm taking her out to
vacation and I'm going to propose to her.

Speaker 5 (16:29):
Yeah, you're a good guy man than you.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
So you have the ring already and everything? Yes, I do, okay,
And so is it going to be just the two
of you? I always wondering when people propose, like do
you prefer a really private intimate.

Speaker 15 (16:45):
Yeah, where's it gonna be on the beach? Already, have
like a photographer plan she's gonna be gigging.

Speaker 4 (16:49):

So we've been together. It'll be six years this December.

Speaker 6 (16:55):
That's nice.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
Okay. So a couple of things here. So you have
a photographer, right, So does that mean her hair will
be done, her nails will be done, because you want
to make sure you look really nice in these pictures
as a woman.

Speaker 11 (17:06):

tell her I'm going to take her off her breakfast
for her birthday and stuff. I'm trying to get her
just all nice and stuff.

Speaker 6 (17:18):
Okay, Okay, good.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
I'd be so concerned, like, don't propose me and I'm
not preparing crazy.

Speaker 5 (17:22):
You won't say yes just because I'm just saying.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
If it's a photographer, you want the moment to be amazing,
but you also want to look.

Speaker 5 (17:27):
Good in the pictures. You can propose straight out of
the bed.

Speaker 4 (17:30):

Speaker 16 (18:08):
Yes, yes, I thought like y'all was kind of like
the same person that y'all kind of do, but both
y'all thing, but that that was my figure. I kind
of got y'all nixed up, and it meant no displaying
I have both of y'all.

Speaker 6 (18:23):
Okay, Well, thank you. I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
When Love and hip Hop first started and they people
saw her for the first time, Matt, people were tagging
me like, oh you and Tammy okay, favorite, y'all got
those cheeks.

Speaker 6 (18:36):
Like cheeks.

Speaker 5 (18:40):
Trying to shoot your shot.

Speaker 9 (18:42):
Hey, I ain't not yet. I'm too broke that man.

Speaker 5 (18:45):
You might as well go for it.

Speaker 6 (18:46):
Man, Why can you try to holler at Tammy?

Speaker 5 (18:49):
You?

Speaker 3 (18:52):
Well, you ain't gonna hate on another man just because
you wanted to holler at his girl.

Speaker 9 (18:57):
No, I'm I'm calling him dumb if you messed that up.

Speaker 6 (19:02):
Okay, fair enough? All right, well thank you for sharing
with us.

Speaker 4 (19:09):
All right, you too?

Speaker 6 (19:09):
What's eponymous caller tell us a secret?

Speaker 5 (19:12):
Hi?

Speaker 17 (19:12):
So my stucred is that I actually lied to my
ex and told her that I cheated on her so
she could divorce me.

Speaker 9 (19:19):
What?

Speaker 11 (19:19):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (19:21):
Why did you want to?

Speaker 6 (19:22):
I'm just curious.

Speaker 17 (19:23):
I was dealing with a narcissist and that was the
best play out. She was so upset. She didn't even
want any money. She just wanted the house, and I
let her have it. So the one for me.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
Interesting, So you're happily divorced. Now, what if she would
have said it's okay, we could work through it. I'm
just what would you have done?

Speaker 17 (19:38):
I may have had to actually cheat and get caught.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Well that's crazy. You know what though, I've always said
that men don't like to break up with women. They
like to do mess up things, so you break up
with them?

Speaker 5 (19:50):
Really?

Speaker 11 (19:51):
Huh?

Speaker 6 (19:51):
Okay you think that's true.

Speaker 17 (19:54):
For me personally? Yes, to be honest.

Speaker 6 (19:56):
Yeah, all right, Well, thank you for sharing. No judgment.

Speaker 17 (20:03):
All right, thanks y'all, Love y'all.

Speaker 6 (20:04):
Hello, anonymous caller, tell us a secret.

Speaker 18 (20:07):
Okay, So my secret is I took revenge and got
somebody back.

Speaker 17 (20:12):
We're just as needed to be served.

Speaker 18 (20:14):
So I ended up going into their house and spreading
like sardine juice, like porn, putting some sardines and events
and porn sardine juice and their shoes and all on
their clothes. And then I poured like milk in between
the masts and the box screen, and I stole a
couple of items that were mine back.

Speaker 6 (20:34):
Okay. So yeah, so I assume this had to be
an ex or something something like that, something like that.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
So they did something crazy, but nobody was helping you legally,
not at all. No, Okay, Hey, you know sometimes you
got to get your your get creative. Yeah, and look
getting your own stuff back. You know, you're welcome to
do that.

Speaker 6 (20:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (20:56):
Yeah, it's kind of like I stole my card, Jody,
you know.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
You funny, but that is so disgusting, And that mattress
and that that gotta go after you put pour that milk.

Speaker 5 (21:09):
Yeah, I gotta go.

Speaker 18 (21:09):
All right, Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's in there.

Speaker 5 (21:12):
All right.

Speaker 6 (21:13):
Well, I'm not mad at it. Nobody got hurt.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
Nope, thank you so much for sharing. Thank you all right,
well that was tell us a secret. Thank you Mano
for not being judgmental today and keeping quiet when I
know you wanted to scream.

Speaker 5 (21:26):
Judge Mayo, Judge Mano.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
And when we come back, we have yet let's talk
about Nli Chappa.

Speaker 6 (21:33):
He's been going hard trying to get at Megan.

Speaker 5 (21:35):
Good.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
Calm down, Mano. But now, ah, there's a wrench in
the plans. We'll tell you what it is. It's way
up with Angela yee.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
It says rooms from industry shade to all the gossip
out Angela's feeling that yet.

Speaker 6 (21:51):
Yes, in his way up with.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
The Angela yee, I'm Angela yee. Jasmine from the Jasmine
brand is here and new Mano Mano was.

Speaker 6 (21:58):
In the building and we're doing yet. Okay, let's see
how man It feels about this e Early Chapham. According
to his ex Marissa.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
Denay, she is saying that she's expecting a child with
him and that he's been absent during her pregnancy. Now
he's on the episode of lip Servers that just dropped yesterday,
where he did say that he's single and he's not
trying to be in a relationship, and she posted, I've
really been trying to hold it down and keep it together,
but I'm really, honestly just fed the f up. You're
constantly trying to holler f folks, take folks on dates
and etc. But you have failed to show up for

(22:28):
your child that you paid for me to have. You
think because you may pay a doctor bill or send
a few dollars for certain ish, that changes the fact
that you're absent as F. I've had thirty one appointments
since we placed our child in my stomach, and you
have not showed up to one because you're working and busy.
I accepted it at the moment, but you're telling me
you don't got time for doctor's appointments, but you've got
time to want to take folks on vegan dates. Oh,

(22:50):
you got time to continue to shoot your shop, but
not for your child.

Speaker 5 (22:53):
Oh the dates.

Speaker 6 (22:56):
I know that's the next level disrespectful.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
You got time to want to fall in love with
someone else in age ain't nothing but a number, but
have no not showed up for your child's aften you
twice my whole pregnancy and I'm past halfway done. If
you were doing what f you was supposed to be doing,
I wouldn't be able to say anything about what you're doing.
I try to do it's your way. Let you paint
this picture, et cetera. But you literally are not doing
what you're supposed to do. And I have a problem.

Speaker 7 (23:18):
That was a long message, and that was that wasn't
even the whole thing specific yep, yep.

Speaker 6 (23:25):
So all that means is Megan Good is still available
because Man and Megan. That sounds cute. Man and Megan?
What kind of that was? What would that be?

Speaker 4 (23:41):
That sounds cute?

Speaker 5 (23:43):
That sounds a couple of goaliesh it does?

Speaker 4 (23:45):
Megan and Maino no good.

Speaker 6 (23:48):
He'll change his last name and everything and out of pocket,
out of pocket, so.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
You I think your age appropriate for man?

Speaker 5 (23:56):
That's wow.

Speaker 6 (23:57):
Man, it would change his last name.

Speaker 5 (23:58):
Yeah, he was May no Good.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
I know that's right.

Speaker 5 (24:00):
No more bad men, Grood.

Speaker 6 (24:05):
That will tell you who else is available. Young Miami.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
She is on the cover of the cut, and one
of the things that she said is that I guess
her relationship, whatever it was with Diddy. She refuses to
put a title on it is over she said, it
pretty much fizzled out when it was revealed that he
welcomed a newborn daughter last October. They were inseparable at
one point, frequently spotted out together. But I guess now
she's done the baby.

Speaker 5 (24:31):
I thought she she knew about the baby.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
We don't know what she did. She did say she
knew about the.

Speaker 6 (24:36):
Bad Yeah, and maybe that was it. I mean, even
if I know, then it happens.

Speaker 5 (24:40):
You're like she.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
Said, I always had such a strong personality that everybody
that I came in contact with has always loved me.
Before I was famous, I was hood famous, Like everybody
in the city knew me. I was doing club appearances.
They would book me, and people would come and just
want to party with me. I think it was always
the way I carried myself. I was popular on the internet.
I always had the best men in town. I was
just the talk of the town. I was always just
that girl. Okay, all right, So you can read that

(25:02):
whole profile on her in the cuts.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
Oh, I'm said that they're not together anymore. Whatever it
was called.

Speaker 5 (25:07):
I like them.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
Maybe she's yeah, really yeah, maybe she's happy. But they
did they are still friends even though they're no longer
romantic that happens, Yes, it does.

Speaker 6 (25:16):
It's good when you can still remain friends, right right?

Speaker 5 (25:19):
You know about that remaining friends?

Speaker 4 (25:21):
What story is next? Angela?

Speaker 6 (25:23):
All right, well, I guess that's you know it? I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (25:28):
Maybe we'll do some under the radar? Is anything under
the radar anybody here wants to share? I have some
under the radars stuff about Maynard.

Speaker 6 (25:38):
We'll get into all of that.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
Also, Swiss has previewed new jay Z and Lil Wayne
and there's a new collab. We wanted to play some
of it, but it's so dirty we can't. We can't
play like even a snippet because it's going to just sound.

Speaker 4 (25:50):
Like what's the name of Do we know the name
of the song?

Speaker 3 (25:54):
So it's gonna be out April twenty first, and he said, yeah,
life begins then, so we don't know it's going to
get you out of your comfort zone though we do, however,
know that much. Okay, cool, all right, and that is
your YEETI Again, we have under the radar when we
come back. And those are stories that are not necessarily
headline news, but we think they're interesting. We think that
you need to know about them. They're flying under the

(26:15):
radar and we're bringing them to you. And sometimes something
is so major that we can't not talk about it.
But what we got that coming up for you. It's
way up at Angela Yee under the radar next news.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Yes, it is way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee.
And Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here and Maino
is here and it's time for under the radar. These
are stories that are not headline news, but they've been
flying under the.

Speaker 6 (26:41):
Radar all right.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
So a swim instructor mom has warned parents not to
buy blue swimsuits for your kids. You know, a lot
of people are in the pools right now are getting
ready for that. And Nikki Scarnatti, who is a mom
of two and she's also a swim instructor in spring Hill, Florida,
said that she doesn't want her kid to wear blue
bathing suits a blue swimsuit because it's difficult to see

(27:05):
her under the water and even in calm water.

Speaker 6 (27:08):
So do not buy a blue bathing suit. You guys
have kids.

Speaker 7 (27:12):
I never thought about that, Yeah, I have a daughter
and I'd take her to swim class, and I don't
know if I have any blue swimsuits for her, but
I'm glad this is good advice.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
I felt like, yeah, you can look on TikTok and
see it. But here is nicky Scarnati.

Speaker 19 (27:24):
This is why you do not put your children in
blue bathing suits. Look how difficult it is to see
her under the water. And this is in calm water,
This is not with a whole bunch of other kids
playing and splashing around and having a good time. Even
look in the sunlight. Look how difficult it is to
see her with that bathing suit on because it's the

(27:45):
same color as our environment.

Speaker 6 (27:48):
All right.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
So there's all kinds of advice that they are giving
on how you can actually keep kids safe in the water.
Barriers and alarms like fencing around pools, and alarms on
doors and windows that open into the pool so an
adult is alerted when they're open, supervision, close, constant and
capable water competency meaning both adults and children should know
how to swim xed out of that one. Lifejackets are

(28:12):
needed whenever on or around open and natural bodies of water,
and when boating, an emergency preparation like performing CPR, keeping
a phone pool pool side so you can quickly call
nine one one.

Speaker 6 (28:23):
All right, the bathing suits make a difference.

Speaker 3 (28:26):
Now, since we're giving advice, let's talk about hotels all right. Now,
somebody who worked at a popular hotel for three years
is giving advice on things that you should not waste
your money on. When it comes to booking hotel rooms.
We're always traveling, so premium hotel rooms aren't usually worth it.
They said, it's attempting to upgrade your room. Having a

(28:47):
suitet as nice, but they're significantly more expensive than the
basic rooms. Depending on the hotel. The suites aren't really
that much nicer. They just have a bit more space.
So unless you're going to be there for a considerable
amount of time, they recommend just sticking with a basic room.
You know, one thing I learned too. Sometimes book a
basic room and then when you get there, ask if
there's upgrades available. Sometimes it's cheaper if you do it

(29:09):
that right right, and they'll be like, oh yeah, for
fifty dollars more instead of paying like that extra crazy fee.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
But if it's no upgrades, you're stuck in that room.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
Yeah, you are stuck in that room, but you save
some money, right. They said, it's usually worth it to
opt for a hotel and a centralized location instead of
paying for cabs.

Speaker 6 (29:28):
That's a fact.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
So you might be like, it's cheaper to stay here,
but then by the time you're paying for all these
cabs and ubers, you end up paying way more money
than if you would have just stayed someplace that's close
to where everything is at. Cancelation policies on third party
sites unnecessary. Sometimes they have better options when it comes
to booking hotel rooms, but there's a lot of hidden costs.
And also if you want to and I've seen this

(29:50):
a lot lately, if you want to get a fully
refundable cancelable option, it costs more money. Yeah, so a
lot of times it'll say non refundable and then you're stuck.
So if you go direct through the hotel, they have
a lot more of a flexible cancelation and refund policy,
And a lot of times when you do it directly
through the hotel, you can also call them even if
it says now I'm refundable, sometimes they'll work with you.
I've had to do all of these things. Avoid buying

(30:13):
travel toilet trees ahead of time.

Speaker 5 (30:15):
Ye who does that?

Speaker 14 (30:17):
Some people?

Speaker 5 (30:18):
And bring toilet trees to a hotel people.

Speaker 6 (30:21):
Yeah, travel toothbrush and toothpaste. Yeah, you know, you go
to the little travel place, you get your disposable razors.
You might get like a little mini shampoo and condition.

Speaker 5 (30:29):
She was supposed to go to the hotel and take
that stuff out with you like this way she.

Speaker 6 (30:34):
Does have hotel.

Speaker 3 (30:36):
I always go and when I check it, I'm like,
can I get a toothbrush and a toothpaste and a razor?
All right, So you know certain things like that they're
telling you just be careful. Also, stop buying bottled water.
They said, bring a water bottle and fill it up
at the hotel. Sometimes those bottle waters are extremely expensive.

Speaker 4 (30:52):
I'm not doing that, okay.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
And I also instead of ordering room service, will order
like Uber eats or door Dash. All right, Well, that
is you're under the raidar And when when we come back,
we do have the way up mix at the.

Speaker 6 (31:01):
Top of the hour.

Speaker 3 (31:02):
Plus, Telfire is going to be joining us. You know
I love a tel Fire bag, tel Fire clothes. So
the owner founder Telfi Clements is going to be joining us.
It's way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 12 (31:13):
Just like the tut like they Angela Jean like they
Angela jee Man.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
She's spilling it all. This is yeaty way up.

Speaker 6 (31:22):
Yes, it is way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
I'm here and Jasmine from the Jasmine Brand is here,
and Mano is here, Yes new Mano and I just
saw I got tagged.

Speaker 6 (31:31):
In this on Reality Chat.

Speaker 3 (31:33):
But Basketball Wives, I'm gonna clear it up too, since
my name is you and the blogs Angela, it was
brought up, but I guess on Basketball Wives. On this
latest episode, Jackie Christy and Jennifer have been going back
and forth and Jennifer has this documentary that she's been
working on.

Speaker 6 (31:48):
Here's what happened.

Speaker 20 (31:50):
Why are you telling these ladies that your producer almighty?

Speaker 2 (31:54):
I never said I was no producer.

Speaker 5 (31:56):
That's got damn lie.

Speaker 6 (31:57):
I never claimed to be anything on the project.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
She knows that she called me and asked me for help.

Speaker 5 (32:03):
I gave her the help.

Speaker 13 (32:04):
We've talked numerous times about it.

Speaker 5 (32:06):
She's a fire.

Speaker 15 (32:07):
I'm pulling.

Speaker 6 (32:10):
All right.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
So the documentary that they're talking about Jennifer, remember her
the guy that she was dating scammed her out of
her car, her Range Rover. She never got the car back,
and so when it all happened, it was unfolding like
on social media, and she and I spoke and then
I was like, you know, we we were like, this
would be a great documentary because all these people started
coming forward that this man had scammed out of money,

(32:31):
out of cars and all of that. And the first
thing we did was called this guy Dennis Dennis read
He's in Detroit and he does you know, he produces movies.
So we actually spent our own money going out and
interviewing some of these alleged victims.

Speaker 5 (32:48):
Right, So, yeah, I did a documentary on the scammer. Yes.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
Instead of you know, being upset about it, I felt
like it would be like, let's take the power back
all these other people. He did this to his own
family members, even, let's just document this.

Speaker 6 (33:01):
You know, Tinder Swindler was big.

Speaker 4 (33:03):
It's really compelling story.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
To Yes, I mean it was fascinating, and so I
was like, why not monetize the situation but also bring
to light that this man is a serial scammer alleg Yeah, no,
it's pretty much. I mean, he ended up giving her
her money back, but I don't want to give away
anything that's in this, but you know, there's things that

(33:26):
are definitely on record.

Speaker 6 (33:28):
She was a boyfriend that she dated him.

Speaker 4 (33:30):
But yeah, so what's going on with her and Chana.

Speaker 6 (33:33):
I guess Jackie and I didn't watch the episode.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
I just saw this clip, but I guess she was
saying that, you know, Jennifer came to her for help
or was trying to. But and whether or not that happened,
I have no idea, but she never mentioned that. But
I know this all happened really quickly. And so the
people that and Jennifer said, the only people that you
know she went to for help on this was that
she spoke to about was me, Dennis, Deanna, and Mona.

(33:58):
Mona's another woman that he allegedly scammed. And she also
said that she Jennifer said she was an executive producer
on Notorious Queen's with Tatari Turner. She said, this show
has been in the making since the pandemic.

Speaker 6 (34:10):
That's true.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
I remember coming with you to film, yeah, so in Atlanta.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
So that's that all right, just because it was out
there and I wanted to you on the vlogs, girl,
tell the first hand side l all right, Serena Williams
is going to be doing a new memoir and they're
saying that office could hit beyond ten million dollars. They
said the book world is buzzing that she's selling a
memoir and speculates that there are eight figure deals on

(34:35):
the table. They said the deal might already be closed.
We're not one hundred percent shore about that. But she
already had her own book out previously, and so now
here's a new one. And I think we love hearing
from Serena Williams.

Speaker 4 (34:46):
Did you read her old one?

Speaker 5 (34:48):
Yep?

Speaker 4 (34:48):
Okay? Was it good?

Speaker 6 (34:49):
Yeah? Sure it did.

Speaker 5 (34:50):
Jasmine, would you do a memoir?

Speaker 4 (34:52):
Not right now?

Speaker 5 (34:53):
Anytime you were.

Speaker 6 (34:54):
Doing a book though at one point, yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
May know?

Speaker 4 (34:57):
What about you? Or would you do a book?

Speaker 6 (35:00):
Maina Woods?

Speaker 5 (35:01):
Yeah it is something cooking. No no, no, no, I'll no,
it's not time yet.

Speaker 4 (35:07):
And Angela, what about you? Would you do a book?

Speaker 12 (35:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (35:09):
I think now it's a great time. I've been having
some deals on the table as well. I wanted to
wait till I started this show, until it was like
a year in.

Speaker 6 (35:18):
I would love to read both of your books, well
the book the book that I got comment is not
a memoir.

Speaker 4 (35:22):
Okay, uh, the memoir.

Speaker 5 (35:25):
I need the memoir.

Speaker 6 (35:26):
Yeah, maybe it should be called tell us a secret, Angela,
what's your What should your book be called? I don't
know yet.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
Both would be juicy.

Speaker 6 (35:38):
Would your book be juicy?

Speaker 12 (35:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (35:40):
But I'm a man. I can't. I can't. I can't
go but so far, because then it becomes like stories.

Speaker 6 (35:47):
It's like, yeah, let's tell me may not do some things.

Speaker 4 (35:50):
Now, Angela, you have some You have some stories too.

Speaker 6 (35:52):
I've been around a lot of incidents.

Speaker 3 (35:54):
And the hard part is do you tell everything because
some things don't involve you, so you know you might
have been there or but yeah, you're telling other people's
secrets too, So that's the going too far. I might
have to put some code names, but that is your EET.
And when we come back, it is a wealth Wednesday,
So we are going to be talking to Jill Cortina.
She's the director of As You Sow and basically it's

(36:16):
a nonprofit and they work with a lot of different
companies to make sure you know where your money is
going with your fro one K in particular, are you
investing in gunstocks and don't even know what you should
be aware of all of that.

Speaker 5 (36:26):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (36:27):
And then Telfar is joining us today too, and you
know I love Telfar products. All right, it's way up
with Angela ye.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
This Wealth Wednesday on, way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 6 (36:34):
All right, it is way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 3 (36:36):
And I'm here with my Wealth Wednesday partner, Stacy Tisdale.

Speaker 21 (36:40):
Happy Wealth Wednesday's everybody happy Financial Literacy Month.

Speaker 6 (36:43):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (36:44):
And we've been talking about this behind the scenes, but
today we have a special guest joining us, Jill Courtinay.

Speaker 21 (36:50):
Yeah, Hello, Hi, Jill. And Jill is with As You Sow,
which is an organization that helps individuals, institutional investors, and
corporations socially consciously invest and helps a lot of individuals
out there who might not know they do things like
own gunstocks in their four h one k's, identify that

(37:11):
and make different choices. And that's one of the reasons
that we wanted to talk to you today. I know
everybody's so tired of these headlines about mass shootings over
and over again. As of April tenth, there were eleven thousand,
five hundred and twenty three people died from gun violence
in the United States. And I think there's been one
hundred and forty mass shootings so.

Speaker 6 (37:32):
Far this year.

Speaker 21 (37:35):
Just this past Saturday, four people were killed and twenty
eight were injured in Dadeville, Alabama. And then you know,
we're talking about some of the stats for Black Americans.

Speaker 3 (37:43):
Young Black Americans as fifteen to thirty four experienced the
highest rate of gun homicides in the US. And Blacks
are also ten times more likely than wis to die
by gun homicide while just making up twelve point five
percent of the population, and black people are the victims
of sixty one percent of all gun homicides. I have
a four oh one k I have my roth Ira
and truthfully, a lot of us, you know, we do

(38:04):
the match at work, and you don't even know where
your money is going, right, And so, Jill, can you
talk to us about as you sew and what you
are focused on?

Speaker 12 (38:14):
Yeah, So, as you sew, we are shareholder advocates, and
what we do is we use data driven studies and
scorecards to help corporations identify where they're putting their shareholders
at risk. And so we work with institutional investors. We
work with large public companies. The institutional investors are the

(38:38):
mutual funds where most people have their four oh one
K pension funds. Most of the pension funds are government
and then we're also working with banks and all of
these places. They have trillions of dollars invested in the market.

Speaker 21 (38:57):
This is a big issue for Black Americans now because,
as Angela was saying, this issue of gun violence so
disproportionately affects us. But we are investing I think since
the pandemic, the majority of first time investors to the
stock market we're black. And you have about fifty three
percent of Black Americans owning four h one case and

(39:19):
thirty five percent, as you said, of us stock funds
include investments in major retailers of guns and ammunition. So
someone's like, I don't want to invest in these companies
that disproportionately affect my community.

Speaker 6 (39:31):
What should they.

Speaker 3 (39:32):
Do, right, because some of us are doing it without
even realizing how money is going into gun maker's, ammunition
makers billions of dollars.

Speaker 12 (39:39):
Yeah, And so we have a platform it's called Gun
Free Funds with the ATS dot Org. And what we've
done is we have taken the top three thousand mutual
funds and we are pulling out where are you invested
in guns, in gun manufacturers, in retailers, And so you're

(40:05):
able to actually look to see it's like looking behind
the curtains of what's in your mutual fund.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
Right, so we can pick and choose and say I
don't want any of my money to be invested into
these companies.

Speaker 12 (40:20):
Yeah, we're training people to network with people in your company.
Let them know that they also to be investing in guns,
military weapons, private prisons. They're all sorts of things in
people's floral one case that they have just no idea.

Speaker 3 (40:41):
So we do have the power to pick and choose
where our money goes. When it comes to these mutual funds.

Speaker 6 (40:47):
It is your money.

Speaker 21 (40:48):
Yeah, they have a fiduciary responsibility to listen to take
us out of what we don't want to be in.

Speaker 12 (40:55):
Yes, have conversations with your HR person. Most cases, for
a one K plan, you have options. Normally they give
you maybe ten to twelve options, sometimes more, sometimes less.
If you drop the name of your mutual fund into
gun Freefunds dot org and you see that you are

(41:17):
invested in guns and military weapons and other things that
are completely contrary to your values, you can ask your
HR manager to put you in a different fund.

Speaker 3 (41:29):
Well, listen, this is valuable information, and you know they
do say according to Post sixty three percent of Americans
want gun laws to change in this country. But a
lot of people don't realize or may not realize that
they are supporting gun companies and ammunition makers through their
four one ks and like Stacy started this off saying,
there's been one hundred and forty six mass shooting so
far this year alone, all right, and so this is

(41:52):
really an important issue for us to even be aware of.

Speaker 6 (41:54):
So we do.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
Thank you so much, Jill Courtney. Where can people find you?

Speaker 12 (41:59):
You can find me on LinkedIn Jill Courtney, It's COO
you are T and a Y or you can email
at Jay Fortinae at asusow dot org.

Speaker 5 (42:13):
Thank you so much, joll.

Speaker 21 (42:14):
We really appreciate that and really wanted to bring attention
to how you know, collectively we do have the investment
dollars to really make move the needle on this issue.

Speaker 5 (42:23):
So really appreciate your help with you.

Speaker 6 (42:26):
Thank you appreciation, Thank you for your interest.

Speaker 3 (42:28):
All right, Well, thank you so much to my partner
and wealth Wednesday, Stacey Tisdale for joining me. Also, Jill
Courtine the director of as you sew make sure you
are aware where your four oh one k money is going,
what you're investing in.

Speaker 5 (42:40):
It could be.

Speaker 3 (42:41):
Gunstocks, all right, And this was Greg. You know, I
love Wealth Wednesdays, every single Wednesday, and we do have
tell for O joining us shortly.

Speaker 6 (42:48):
It's way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (42:53):
You've had a.

Speaker 6 (42:53):
Way Yes, it's way up with Angela yee. I'm Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (42:58):
And Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here and Mano
is here, and you know, it is a Wealth Wednesday.
And one of my favorite things to talk about is
money and investing.

Speaker 4 (43:06):
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 3 (43:07):
So we were talking to Jail courtiney earlier and we
were talking about four o one k's iras, not knowing
if you have mutual funds, what your money is invested in.
Sometimes it's like five hundred different things that you know,
our pieces of investments. And I wanted to ask you
guys about your investments and if you're aware of like
things that you're invested in. So, Mano crypto crypto, Okay,

(43:29):
how is that working out?

Speaker 6 (43:30):
The crypto? Like you did it at a good time?
Did it?

Speaker 5 (43:34):
I invested in crypto at a time, and it was
I felt like it was doing well, but now it's not.
It's nice.

Speaker 6 (43:39):
Did you ever buy anything with it or did you
leave it?

Speaker 5 (43:42):
I just left it there. I told you I got scammed.

Speaker 6 (43:45):
Yeah, right, sixty grand is it?

Speaker 5 (43:47):
Yeah? That scam. But I invest in different things. I
invested in the stocks. I caught this information about this
this thing called Palatine, and I invested in that and
I made some money off there. I made maybe like
thirty thousand off of that.

Speaker 6 (44:00):
Okay, that's a good feeling because people be scared to
invest because it is still like gambling. It's a risk,
you know.

Speaker 3 (44:06):
But my rule is always do not invest more than
you can afford to lose. And so that's that I'm
jazz knowing about you.

Speaker 7 (44:12):
I do have some investments some stocks with my business partner,
but I'm about to do a big investment with you.

Speaker 6 (44:18):
Yes, indeed, I'm proud of you. I put my money up.

Speaker 4 (44:20):
It's probably the biggest, the most money I've invested.

Speaker 6 (44:22):
And I'm scared and I feel quite responsible for you.

Speaker 7 (44:25):
Why that's invest in people. So I don't really invest
in it. Yeah, I don't invest so much in you know.
I mean, it is a good deal. But you know,
you're my friend and I trust you, and.

Speaker 3 (44:34):
And you know, like, I'm gonna try to protect it
as much as because my money is investing in your
And that's another thing, right when you think about investing,
is the other person investing too?

Speaker 5 (44:42):
Right?

Speaker 4 (44:42):
That's important? Yeah, and you and you really are investing.

Speaker 7 (44:45):
So I can't wait when we get it, when we
can actually talk about it once the deal is hopefully tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (44:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (44:49):
But and one thing I learned from my business partner
and private label, that's the hair company I have in Detroit.
He was like, listen, Angela, I only partner with people
if they put up my too. And that is an
important thing because sometimes people will try to get you
to put up the money.

Speaker 5 (45:05):
Everybody like to use all the people's money.

Speaker 6 (45:07):
I have to do that, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (45:09):
But he was like, you know, when we did our
business together, he was like, you know, I put it
in some money too, because everybody gotta have something at stake,
because sometimes if people don't put up money, they don't
give it.

Speaker 5 (45:17):
Different, Right, It's different when you don't have money when
somebody else is not putting up the money because they
don't have nothing to lose.

Speaker 6 (45:23):
All right, well let's get into it.

Speaker 3 (45:25):
Tel Fire is joining us and he's invested in himself
as a designer, and he's going to talk about what
he's doing when it comes to pricing and these amazing
tel Fire products. It's way up with Angela yee. Yes,
it's way up with Angela yee. I'm here, and Jasmine
from the Jasmine brand is here, yes.

Speaker 6 (45:42):
And tell Fire Clemens is here. You know.

Speaker 3 (45:44):
I'm excited, okay, And first of all, from where you
were the last time I saw you, when I was
in the breakfast clubs where we are now, I just
love to see this whole evolution and.

Speaker 20 (45:59):
The same you too. I'm so happy to be on
way up. Congratulations, Thank you. I love being way up.

Speaker 13 (46:05):
You know with you.

Speaker 6 (46:06):
Yeah, I'm so excited to have tell Far here.

Speaker 12 (46:08):
Now.

Speaker 3 (46:08):
You guys know when those drips happen, right, the drops,
they tend to sell out quickly. But you've done something
different with the pricing. So I want to talk about
that first and foremost, because I know for you it's
been important to make your products affordable.

Speaker 13 (46:21):
Yes, affordable, but accessible too.

Speaker 20 (46:24):
And you know, like what we're doing of live price
was that I really wanted people to be in the
clothes the same way that you see the bags, you know,
which is the most accessible part of the brand. So
we're wondering how to price this collection, you know, and
we thought of people being able to price it themselves,
because you know, what someone else can afford, someone else

(46:45):
can afford, and that doesn't always mean that you're cool
because you can afford something. And I want the cool
people to be in the cool things and for things
to actually just be like accessible.

Speaker 6 (46:55):
And to take it back with tel far, you know.

Speaker 3 (46:58):
For anybody who doesn't know the history the brand first started,
was it in twenty fourteen?

Speaker 20 (47:02):
No, I've been designing since I was fifteen, and I
officially started the brand in two thousand and five.

Speaker 6 (47:10):
Oh way earlier, Okay, because for some reason, it's.

Speaker 20 (47:14):
Like you see the internet as they erase things. Yeah,
they lie, they lie. But I've been working for you know,
many decades and doing two collections a year. It was
mostly closed in. The bag was introduced in twenty fourteen.

Speaker 6 (47:28):
Okay, that's what.

Speaker 13 (47:29):
So, yeah, the bag was introduced in twenty fourteen.

Speaker 3 (47:32):
What I love about it is that sometimes people feel
like the more expensive something.

Speaker 20 (47:36):
Is that's yeah, that's like the better better, yeah, and
that's why we're playing with that. It's like, if you
want to pay four hundred and fifty dollars, which is
what it would be, right, Okay, just wait, don't get
out to the website, right, you know. But the thing
that happened with Live Price is that, you know, people
stopped things from getting to be four hundred and fifty
dollars because they really wanted it. And some things are

(47:56):
sixty and I'm seeing the sixty dollars thing like in
the way that I want to see myself in fashion.

Speaker 13 (48:03):
So it's been it's been working really well.

Speaker 3 (48:05):
So the way life pricing works is when something sells out,
then the price.

Speaker 20 (48:09):
That price forever, basically, you know, and the basically part
is important. Basically, like when a thing starts, it starts
at the lowest possible price, which is the whole sell
price what we will sell it to a store. Okay,
you know, So every second it goes up by a
circuit certain increment, some things go up faster than others,
and then once it sells out, that's the price that
it states forever.

Speaker 3 (48:30):
Let's get some examples, because I know you have your
price in your price and you geta I want to
make sure.

Speaker 6 (48:34):
We use the notes. Do you see these notes come on?

Speaker 20 (48:40):
Because it's like the third drop that we have so
splip sweats, which I don't have on Alan dazel Ones,
but they'll start at one ten and they go up
to four forty. So if you want to be like
you know, a fashion person, you'll just like step back
and if it doesn't sell out, you can pay four
hundred and forty dollars for your.

Speaker 13 (48:56):
Pants, or you could get it at one ten if.

Speaker 6 (48:58):
You get it like the first second, okay, you know.

Speaker 20 (49:01):
And then the cap T shirt it starts at ninety
five and it goes up to three eighty, so.

Speaker 6 (49:06):
You got to get it right away.

Speaker 5 (49:07):
Yeah, you got to get.

Speaker 2 (49:08):
It right away.

Speaker 20 (49:09):
Like a crop T shirt, which is coming out to
fifty five dollars is going to go up to two twenty.
Our Maxi Ringer tank is going to go up from
forty five dollars to one eighty.

Speaker 6 (49:20):
Has anyone ever done this system of pricing before?

Speaker 20 (49:23):
I don't think so, you know, And the clothing is
just so important to like what led people in the
first place to the.

Speaker 6 (49:30):
Back sometimes that collapsed too. Yes, by the way, the
gold Moose Knuckles. Yeah, special Moose Knuckles. How do you
decide do you want to collab with?

Speaker 3 (49:42):
Because I feel like for you it's not necessarily about
like you know, the money or the like how do
people come to you and then you say, yes, this
this works for me.

Speaker 20 (49:52):
If I kind of grew up with this product or
like sort of like a knowledge of what it is,
that kind of is the first thing, you know. And
it's also too it's like if there's something that I'm
not that good at making that another company can help
me do, that's perfect.

Speaker 6 (50:09):
I remember when you launched talf Our TV, so let's
talk about that because you're so passionate about that and
music too, like you said as a DJ, Yeah.

Speaker 13 (50:17):
They're kind of you know, hand in hands.

Speaker 20 (50:19):
This is going to be like it's the vehicle that
we're going to be using to express ourselves and communicate
with our customers. It's user generated right now, so you know,
people upload their things that they want us to see,
and then we also to like will drop different things
like and people be able to get back sooner and

(50:40):
like things that we would and post online. Right so
it's like different feedback loops like that, and you know,
like we don't pay for ads and things like that.
It's like people actually make all of the things and
we repost them. And if something's really good, like once
we post it, it's like we that's how we give
them a gift too.

Speaker 13 (50:56):
So it's okay, it's like.

Speaker 20 (50:58):
Advertising that comes from the customer, you know, So it's
never like this is so unique.

Speaker 6 (51:03):
Yeah, and you got the chain on, So does that
mean that there's a line of jewelry.

Speaker 13 (51:07):
There's a line of jewelry out.

Speaker 20 (51:10):
You can expect sneakers, you can expect more and more
clothes that are kind of be adding to our evergreen collection.
And right now too, I'm like working on the next
chapter of the Librarian Olympic Team for twenty twenty four.

Speaker 13 (51:26):
Wow, yeah, because I addressed the Library and Olympic team.

Speaker 20 (51:29):
Look at that this is a uniform, but this is
one of the ones from the street and yeah, I
mean it's been kind of helping me build the vocabulary
between my performance gear and like all these different things.
But then also you know, debut is on them. The
next one is going to be in Paris in twenty
twenty four.

Speaker 3 (51:47):
So yeah, with so many great things happening right for
you and just so many different milestones. What could you
say is something that stands out to you, like, Wow,
this was one of the biggest things that ever happened
to me.

Speaker 20 (52:00):
Keeps happening every day, Like I really don't, you know,
like I move and the thing is I should really
be appreciative and step back and look at things. But
like every single day, I'm like, Wow, that's cool that
that happened. And then also to what's next.

Speaker 3 (52:14):
Yeah, but sometimes you do have to take it in,
like what is one thing that really totally blew your mind?

Speaker 20 (52:20):
Okay, So I am becoming a doctor. I'm transitioning into
turning a doctor twice next month. So I'm going to
be doctor tell Far Clemons. Wait, a doctor of fashion.

Speaker 6 (52:34):
Wait a minute, streamline shapes.

Speaker 20 (52:39):
Yeah, I'm getting a double doctor from the Business school
where I went to Pace University and the New School University.

Speaker 5 (52:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 20 (52:46):
So I think like the fifteenth and the nineteenth and
I hope I don't up my speech or whatever.

Speaker 3 (52:52):
We won't all right, Well, tel far Clemens is here
with us, and I know we're going to get some
more tell Far bags. Every time I wear my depo bag,
people go crazy for it and we have more with
him when we come back.

Speaker 6 (53:02):
It's way up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (53:06):
Back at it, way up with Angela ye.

Speaker 3 (53:10):
Is on all right, it's way up with Angela Yee.
And I'm so excited about this because this is a
brand that I support and love.

Speaker 6 (53:16):
But Telfar Clements is here.

Speaker 3 (53:17):
He is the founder of Tough Far those designer bags
that you see, but they are still affordable. And up
to this point, you haven't had a brick and mortar location.

Speaker 20 (53:25):
I know Rainbow was really faun and yeah, I think
that I also too. You know, like the idea of
having to go somewhere in the same place all the
time it bugs me. So I'm like kind of like
I want like a mobile shop, Like I want you
to have to go to.

Speaker 13 (53:42):
Like LeFrak City Queens.

Speaker 20 (53:44):
Yes, so go and buy so far so so and so,
you know, And it's like about having like different varieties
of places where fashion is available. And it's like, I
don't know if I want to be in the same
place where other stores are, you know, and wanted to
be like a destination space that you actually came and
you get like dressed up and that you're not going

(54:05):
to buy you know and.

Speaker 13 (54:06):
Like take a picture and then and all this and
put it back.

Speaker 21 (54:10):
You know.

Speaker 20 (54:11):
It's like that's what I want, you know, and like
bring back loitering and like you know, hang me out
at a store. You know, like it's like all of
that stuff and that energy of like kind of what
I grew up, like kind of shopping, you know, like
which is like you know, going to like Century twenty
one and things like that.

Speaker 13 (54:29):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (54:29):
It's like.

Speaker 20 (54:31):
Because you know, you got so much out of that experience,
you know.

Speaker 3 (54:35):
You know when I was young, I used to go
into Macy's and flat Bush and.

Speaker 6 (54:41):
Try on clothes. But I was young.

Speaker 3 (54:43):
I didn't have any money, and that would literally bring
like a whole bunch of things into the fitting room
and just to try them on.

Speaker 5 (54:49):
I didn't have like I would change the tags. I
did all of that.

Speaker 22 (54:52):
I'll be like, right, hey, you know, yeah, it was
like Century twenty one, what kind of price do you want?

Speaker 3 (55:02):
You know, so much Century twenty one stuff that's reduced
at home that I never wore. I just bought it
because it was like a designer on sales and I
was like you never going to wear this?

Speaker 20 (55:12):
Yeah, And having access to even being able to touch
that designer's thing or you know, that's why that place
was so special to me. It was like I literally
chose my college based on being like I was like, oh,
Central twenty one down there, and it's downtown.

Speaker 5 (55:24):
I'm going to.

Speaker 13 (55:25):
School there, you know what I mean.

Speaker 6 (55:27):
But what's going on for fashion week too? I've been
trying to stay away from it.

Speaker 13 (55:32):
I've trying to stay away from it.

Speaker 20 (55:33):
We do our own thing. That's just like fashion months. Okay,
I think we're dropping a lot of new things, and
I'm kind of building this new momentum that there's going
to be new things all the time and building up
to this momentum that we're in a brick and mortar
place where you're buying special things that you can't buy online.
So those are my things that I'm meditating and you.

Speaker 3 (55:57):
Know, hoping happened manifesting manifest yeah right, and also too,
it's like what I hate saying stuff and then you
know it's like jinxing it. Oh no, But it's two
different things, right, saying stuff because you know you're accountable
now that I've said it, Because you can make anything
happen that you want to make happen.

Speaker 13 (56:15):
Last time I was here, I was like I've opened
a store. Everybody's like, wait.

Speaker 20 (56:18):
What it Yeah, But it's like that's like my biggest
dream too, because it's like we've been doing all these
different kind of like social interactions in a certain way
and different pop ups and things like that, and it's
like this was like kind of like during COVID and
it's like I want.

Speaker 13 (56:33):
I'm interested in the free world right now.

Speaker 20 (56:35):
That's like, oh yeah, you can, you know, have this
many people in a certain place and have a situation
that is public.

Speaker 6 (56:43):
Did you get COVID?

Speaker 13 (56:45):
Yeah? I get it all the time.

Speaker 5 (56:48):
I get it all the time.

Speaker 13 (56:50):
I'm a people person.

Speaker 22 (56:51):
What did I say even with the vaccination?

Speaker 4 (56:55):
I never heard I get it all.

Speaker 5 (56:57):
The time, all the time.

Speaker 17 (56:59):
It's like I can.

Speaker 20 (57:01):
It's like I'm not gonna front sometimes you need to.
It's a way of being like such your aStyle.

Speaker 3 (57:07):
All right, Well look I'm manifesting some things for us
to do too, because I love when you do these
pop ups and I'm trying.

Speaker 20 (57:15):
I'm also so proud of you, guys, think you so
proud of you.

Speaker 6 (57:19):
That means a lot coming from you.

Speaker 3 (57:20):
You know, I'm always excited when I get the tael
Far is coming on the show. Email all right, well
tell Fire coming.

Speaker 6 (57:28):
Thank you so much for joining us.

Speaker 5 (57:30):
Thank you, thank you.

Speaker 3 (57:31):
You know you got to always keep on coming in
and updating us on the drip.

Speaker 13 (57:35):
Well, I'm happy to be here. I like my voice
on radio.

Speaker 3 (57:38):
Like you guys, make sure you pay attention. I get
the emails all the time, so I know when it's happening.
I put my alarm on so I can make sure
I get the drops. Yeah, so that I could get
it at the lower price, yes.

Speaker 13 (57:50):
Yes, yes, yeah.

Speaker 20 (57:51):
If you if you want to get it at the
lowest possible price, you gotta, you know, get on there first.
But if you are a fashionist stuff with lots of money,
you just wait get the full fashion price.

Speaker 6 (58:03):
And if you go on Tel for our TV, right
and get that.

Speaker 20 (58:06):
If you go on Tell for our TV on Roku
or Apple TV and also too, you can look at
it on your phone. But sometimes we'll just drop bags
on there and there's a special code and you don't
have to wait in line for anybody. And that's like
one of the parks of watching our TV.

Speaker 6 (58:20):
Okay, Now, we like.

Speaker 13 (58:22):
Some like wild videos and things like that.

Speaker 6 (58:24):
Yeah, it's not regulated right.

Speaker 20 (58:27):
Yeah, actually don't watch it, but thank.

Speaker 6 (58:33):
You so much. Top are always a pleasure you. It's
way up with Angela.

Speaker 5 (58:37):
Ye, way yeah, way up.

Speaker 3 (58:39):
And when we come back we have asked ye eight
fifty one fifty is the number. If you have any advice,
any questions you want to ask us, we are here
for you. It's way up with Angela.

Speaker 6 (58:48):
Ye.

Speaker 1 (58:49):
Everybody since whether it's relationship, for career advice, Angela's dropping
facts sho, you should know.

Speaker 6 (58:55):
This is ask what's up?

Speaker 3 (58:56):
His way up with Angela yee, and it's time for
ask ye. This is and you guys get to call
in and ask questions about anything. It could be about
your love life, it could be work, it could be friendships.

Speaker 6 (59:07):
You know. Jasmine Brand is here with me and she
also has some great insight. Hello, who's this?

Speaker 11 (59:11):
What's going on?

Speaker 6 (59:13):
What's up? Gear Bonnie? What's your question for asking you?

Speaker 11 (59:17):
All?

Speaker 16 (59:17):
Right?

Speaker 11 (59:17):
So I got this girl I used to talk to, right,
I've been bringing it to my favorite bar that I
go to, but it didn't work out. I wasn't really
feeling it and I met somebody else and I kind
of wanted to bring it to my favorite bar. But
I know that this other girl is going to be
going there too. I already cut her off. So my
question is I like to keep being nice about it

(59:39):
because she keeps calling. I don't want to call it
and it's fiction, and I don't want to have any
problems with my new girl with this old one at
my favorite bar. He said, I'm going to be going to.

Speaker 3 (59:50):
Well, first of all, do you have to take this
new girl to your favorite bar?

Speaker 11 (59:55):
I don't have to work like that's my place in Nirvana.
I go there my shairs, I know.

Speaker 6 (01:00:00):
But maybe at first until you get this resolved, right,
I wouldn't do that immediately. Let's just wait till you
resolve things with this old girl because that could end
up being disastrous for you. And then with this old girl,
you have to stop communicating with her. That's how people
get the hint, and that's how she can.

Speaker 11 (01:00:14):
Move on, right right, I have to block her.

Speaker 3 (01:00:19):
You don't have to block her, but you can just
stop answering her calls.

Speaker 4 (01:00:22):
Do you less response?

Speaker 6 (01:00:24):
Yeah? Be lesson? Do you keep it real?

Speaker 12 (01:00:26):
Like?

Speaker 6 (01:00:26):
Do you entertain her at all?

Speaker 11 (01:00:30):
I did listening for dog passed Away? So you know
I have this dog in my shop and I sent
the dog and I'm so sorry.

Speaker 3 (01:00:40):
I'm okay, okay, that's fine, listen, and you can still
redeem yourself.

Speaker 6 (01:00:46):
I think it's really important.

Speaker 3 (01:00:47):
I understand that being an EmPATH myself, that you feel
bad being rude to somebody who you really cared about.
But if you're sending the wrong message, you're dragging this out.
I'm I'm not say you're a bad guy because you're
being nice, but what I'm saying is the message that
she's getting is that there's still a chance because you're
still communicating with her, and it'll be actually better for

(01:01:08):
her because you probably feel bad.

Speaker 6 (01:01:09):
She still likes you, she still cares.

Speaker 3 (01:01:11):
I'm sure it's flattering, but at the same time, you're
not going to be able to move on if you
keep on communicating with her when she's clearly not over you,
and she'll get over you faster if you make it
very clear.

Speaker 4 (01:01:22):
It's kind of like you're sending mix mixed signals, no
one missed signals.

Speaker 11 (01:01:27):
I want to block her. I'll just take off my phone,
wonders right, do that?

Speaker 5 (01:01:32):
Yeah, I mean you can.

Speaker 3 (01:01:35):
I just think you don't need to communicate with her
if she's calling you, just don't. You don't have to answer,
And you can also be very direct and say, listen,
you know I care about you as a person, but
I don't want it to keep on communicating because I
don't want you to get the wrong message.

Speaker 6 (01:01:49):
And sometimes that alone should be enough.

Speaker 3 (01:01:52):
And then with a new girl, if she ever has
any issues to be like, look, I send her a
message telling her that I'm not interested and that I
don't want to keep on communicating because.

Speaker 6 (01:02:01):
I don't want you to get the wrong message.

Speaker 3 (01:02:03):
And you want to make sure that you're doing what
you're supposed to do, because if not, they could run
into each other and she could tell you a new girl, Well,
he's calling me.

Speaker 6 (01:02:10):
He sent me this video, He did this.

Speaker 4 (01:02:13):
And also not for nothing. Even if you think this
new girl is the one, stop bringing all your girls
to this bar. You need to just wait a little bit,
find a new spot.

Speaker 6 (01:02:21):
Yeah, but you can go, you know, expand your horizons.

Speaker 11 (01:02:24):
Yes, all right, listen, listen and easily I trust because
the last time I called for help, he was in
the morning show the Breakfast Club. Now I called you
about my son who wasn't born yet. Now, God bless him.
He just turned eight on Sunday, So thank you, because
you know I was I was asking you like that,
what do I do? Because I'm not ready to be

(01:02:45):
a dad. He was like me, but it tightened up
to go to your dad. So I'm the best dad
I could ever be, and I love my son to death.
But thank you for everything us.

Speaker 9 (01:02:55):
I trust.

Speaker 4 (01:02:55):
Happy Father's Day, Angela?

Speaker 11 (01:02:57):
