Good morning whatever, Good morning. I'm over here trying to
log into stuff. I don't know any pass whereas. It
(00:21):
is so annoying. I know it's the word. I like
the things. I like things that automatically have me logged in. Yeah,
but you know how sometimes you got to change the
password sometimes, like we need you to use one of
these symbols. In addition to this, I like when they
go not strong enough, try it again, or they try
to give you a password. Can I say I am
(00:43):
always freezing in the studio, I have I have the
coat on my on my lap. You're anemic. No, don't
make it warmer because I'm not, because then Angela go
to sleep in here. I like that. We don't need
the bat wings in here. We don't need that. What's that?
(01:04):
But yes, And it is a problem when somebody is
always cold, but everybody else is regular. I don't have
to comment regular and you're not irregular and irregular? Yeah,
I am. Women have you When we're in hotels. If
I go to her room, it is so hot and
her it's like a son. I keep it so hot,
(01:26):
keep it in heale. I can't sleep. What it's called?
And you know according to Oh my gosh, because I did,
thanks to my heart, get a chance to have a
visit with the sleep doctor. And you are supposed to sleep.
But the temperature colder? Yeah better? Yeah, when it's colder,
it makes me go to the bathroom even more in
the middle of the night. How is that? Poss broke?
(01:47):
Am I I am broken? Back? You go bathroom a lot,
I'd be thinking. I don't think it's just your it's
something a solution. Okay, don't shave, I wipe your hair,
grows all through your body, hybrid and sillier. She got

His name is. His name is Artie. He is. He
is downstairs at the iHeart Building at the concierge slash
security desk, and he has always the best sense of humor.
He signs me in every day and also on Fridays

so excited the first time she got a flower. Yeah,
he can. And then you know, Angela said, I said, oh,
look he gave me a flower and said, oh, he
gives that to everyone. She's such a hater. She's such
a hater, so realist, she's such a hater. I have
yet to see Artie, I have yet to see already
give you a flower. I don't have to sign in.
(03:45):
I'm speechless because she is correct. She does not have
to sign in. I have to sign in anyway. I
hope I'm getting his name right. I think his name
is already. Well. If not, that's your last flower. Thank
you so much. Give you this one right here you
can see. Can you describe this to the listeners? It
looks like a flower of many, It looks like a
fake flower plastic. I'm you're awful human beings. I'd like
(04:08):
to say that I think this looks like every Friday
you're lucky. Looks like a what a weed? Oh my god,
I gus, let us everyone, Let us yet the worst type,
and we'll give you a blanket and shine a light

Good morning, Amanda, congratulations on your show. Thank you. I
don't want to shine a light on my daughter. She
turns eleven today, her name, and she's just great. She's
very empathetic, and she's always like smiling and trying her best.
(04:53):
And I really I love my daughter so much and
I wanted to know that, and that's partly because of
how you raised her. I love empathy as a characteristic
in a person. Yeah. Yeah, she showed it since she
was a baby, and she loves your show. She loves
the breakfast club. She's always like Mischi, So I thought
this will make her day KaiA. Yeah, I was just saying.
She also has a beautiful name. Oh, thank you, thank
(05:15):
you so much. Her name is after my mom. They're
just my world. Yes, eleven years old, empathetic, eleven year old.
I love it. Good marnin Jesse. Who do you want
to shine a light on? Good morning, angel I want
to shine a light on my wife. It's her birthday today.
She's an amazing woman and I just want to, you know,
(05:35):
shined the light hunter. All right, say her name and
tell us why she's so amazing. Her name is Kara.
She worked at health. She's amazing for so many reasons.
She worked hard. Um, she's an amazing mother. Who are
two daughters, Mia and Layla. And she's a great white.
(05:56):
She does so much for me. I can't even begin
to put out you. Happy birthday, Yes, happy to her.

the winner of a thousand dollars. Don't do that my money.
(06:38):
That was shine a light on. I'm eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty. The best way to start
the show on Way Up with Angela ye And then
when we come back, we have yet and we'll be
talking Kevin Hart. Why did his first comedy show in
Egypt get cancer? But tell you on Way Up with
Angela Yea Up where Angela Yea says truth in the
(06:59):
room from industry shade to all the gossip angels set Hey,
it's the Way Up with angela Ye. Jasmine Brand is
here with me, Good morning, God Free is here with me,
and we are doing the yet all right. So Gunna
is reportedly leaving Young Thugs YSL label. This is all
(07:19):
after these allegations that he snitched, and according to rumors
and reports, he's going to sign a new deal with
Atlantic Records. Okay, yes, so he's gotten a lot of criticism.
People are saying that him doing that Alfred plea is
him snitching and basically what he did. But he pleaded
guilty on one charge it was in his best interest,
(07:40):
but maintaining his innocence on that same charge, and was
sentenced to five years behind bars with one year community
to time served. So the remaining balanced on his sentence
was suspended. So of course, you know, when everybody's in
jail and somebody comes home, that's like the one of
the worst things you could be labeled as, I know,
the like or in the Italian arette. I don't like arette.
(08:02):
But I'm still saying that he's never been interviewed by
or cooperated with law enforcement or prosecutors. So we'll see
what can end up happening. But Atlantic said we'll take
them all right now. Rihanna's Super Bowl halftime show, they
were over a hundred FCC complaints. I feel like that's
not a lot for being too sexual, but no, there's
not a lot of complaints. Yeah, I don't think that's
(08:24):
bad at all. What she didn't do anything wrong, I
didn't think. So, yeah, you know that they're very very
strict though there was a little bit of like, right,
I don't know, it wasn't even But I also when
I watched the Super Bowl halftime show, I'm like, y'all
can't do nothing, Like you can't do anything because people
will complain. So I feel like it wasn't It wasn't
as bad as justin Timberlake and Jenny Jackson's. Yeah, they
(08:47):
got five hundred and forty thousand complaints. Yeah, so that's
why I'm like, why do they care about a hundred?
There's I don't think there's anybody that gets no complaints?
Was it the dancing? It had to be the dancing.
Don't bring R and B people, I don't bring a
wall or something about that. Let's let's see how you
do on that Super Bowl La, it's gonna perform Lift
me Up at the Oscars? Yes, Yes, Do you like
(09:08):
that song? Angela? I do you know I love a
Rihanna slow song? I do You're so romantic? I do?
I love slow songs, slow song, slow jam. I don't like,
I don't like slow songs. You got to get yeah
to make me sad a slow jam. But there's some
happy slow jams. Yeah, Like what like, what's about being
in love. Yeah, lay the slow jam. I like that,
(09:30):
but like a little Tony Tony Tony, lay your head
on my pillow, your head on my shoulder. Boys in
the hood, total kissing. Those about those are old school
slow jams. Okay, you're talking about the horrible stuff, now,
(09:51):
I got you. Not horrible. They have great Her has
amazing sloism. I like it, but it Daniel Caesar. They
make me sad. They make me sad? Are they sad songs? No?
I just that's just not I don't know. I just
want to be sad. Okay, Yeah, I'm dying to be sad.
Sie me up, me up. It's a great song. No
thank you. And this is amazing, like Pink Sweats has
(10:12):
great like Yeah, but Nate, Okay, let's move on the time.
We got to be on the lights. I don't know
why a happy sad song makes you. If y'all don't
leave me alone this morning, you know I had a
rough night, yea, so happy slow songs for Jasmine. We're
(10:35):
gonna make a playlist. Shut up, all right. And Kevin
Hurt's first comedy show in Egypt was canceled, and that
is due to his quote afrocentric views, and so according
to the promoter, they just said, it's with a heavy
heart that we share with you. Due to local logistical issues,
the cancelationship of our first Kevin Heart events scheduled for
(10:56):
February twenty first in Cairo. That's crazy. When I think
of Kevin Hart, I do not think of afrocentric views.
I think of fun I'm not I'm not calling him
and flying black. I'm just saying that's not what comes
to mind. What comes to funny ha ha humor, but
not for black people. He's like in between. He has
a mixed audience. But I think that was cool that
he brought that up. He said Egypt black. He talked
(11:20):
about teaching our children the true history of black Africans,
right right, all right, Well that is your yet. And
when we come back about last night, you're gonna find
out why Jasmine has such an attitude today. She's so
angry at me, and we'll tell you about last night.
Why on the way up with angela ye, angel is
(11:41):
way up talented. Why are you trying to act like
first of all, I know there says nothing to do
with Tasha, but you just do all these accolades. I
think she is friend. She's all right now anyway, She's
also a great dinner date. And what am I? Well, now,
that's why you were What Jasmine is leaving out is
(12:03):
that I did take her out for a drink. First,
I didn't want a drink. I wanted First of all,
you could have took her anywhere in the city. You
have lots of options. You wanted to take her to
the place you told me that you take me and
an African spot And I'm Nigerian and the the guy is
and I can't believe you would do it. And I'm
African American. I know how could you do it? Sure? No,
but listen, we'll go next week, okay, you a certain day.
(12:28):
I took her to Rosa Mexicano. You are so greedy
Rosa Mexicano. First of all, I pay for the bill.
You ain't take me, no, wow, you did? You did?
You did? You did? But anyway, that was last night.
And I do have some amazing pictures of what the
dinner looked like, so I'll post. I don't want to
(12:51):
see them on the pace. How you got I'm flagging them.
Shout out to Chef Kam, Shout out to Chrissy and
everybody took great care of us at Tatta next week.

trash shed the word. Alright, well, sexy secret eight two
one fifty call us up again. This is always anonymous
and we love for you to share. Hello. Hello, years
(14:18):
I've been having an affair with my whole watch sister
within the past three years, and she doesn't know anything
about it. Oh my goodness. How did it start? At
a family function? She was flirting, so it's inflated from
there and then proceeded. We just started takes in and
flom with each other and she's just convindly not to
(14:38):
tell us her sister. So we've been kept along the
whole time and it's been great. Ever sence unfortunately, Oh
what do you think I should do? You? What's your advice?
I can't tell you what to do. This is supposed
to be telling us a secret, so we're not judging you.
But I mean, do you like the sister better? I mean, honestly, yeah,
the game better? Okay, yeah, sister sister, it feels like
(15:04):
you're not really that into your woman. She's okay, but
I'm before her sister better. I mean, overall, six is better.
And then my wife, you know, she just keeps complaining
and I'm I'm the man of the household. I'm just
providing everything so for sister season and hey, it is
what it is. Honestly, I love her sister more. All right, Well,
(15:26):
there's no judgment here on way up with angela. Ye,
thank you for sharing that sexy secret. All right, tell
us us sexy secret. You can be anonymous? Hi? Yes, Hello,
how are you trying to bury? How are you good?
I've been doing this guy for like one month and
I recently just find out he had a girlfriend since
(15:48):
he's been having sex to text us saying so good
and now I'm just trying to think I want to
stop or not? So how did you find out? Um?
He posted her on Facebook? Wow, I'm a conspect, right,
so you're just a side piece. But you're okay with that.
I'm not okay with it. I just found out. So
(16:08):
I'm still debating. All right, are you gonna say something
to him? Yeah? Have you said something already? Yes? I have.
He hasn't addressed it yet, so I blocked him. Oh okay,
but you do intend to still keep it going? Um?
I don't. I don't. I have to decide it if
I want to pregret. But I'm just letting him like
basically splat it out. Let's to see what what's this
(16:31):
thing going on? Okay? I need to know what's going on.
I feel you on that. Are you gonna what if
it's girlfriend? Hits you up, but you tell her, Yes,
I would. Okay, let's burn down the hole. Yeah yeah,
I just yeah, because because when I first met him,
he was like he had he was in a relationship.
They broke up and they weren't together, and then I
(16:52):
just basically now, I told him, I said, well, if
that was the case, you should have let me know,
like if you're sit together, if y'all were on a
break something to where you just don't take the choice
from me, I would have decided exactly. Okay, all right,
we'll see what happens. Thank you for sharing. Thank you.
I have a great day you too, all right. Anonymous
caller tell us a secret, a sexy secret. Good morning,
(17:16):
gains your boy love you. You're supposed to be anonymous song,
So now are you telling us a secret? Yes, I
secretly lad my great swa to work just to watch
the women turned their heads. Who you know, I'm part
of the humous pandemic that you're talking about, bubble size
(17:38):
with the abnormal. So I love to watch the women
playing their head, whether I'm working out or at work.
So that's my secret. Prove your pants are stained or
what's no? I'm play teen and a half, so they
love to see the bage in the great the print, Okay,
is that a real print or is that a fake print?
(17:58):
Or my print or my print? And we're going my
I okay, anonymous, what's your ig? I l ov e
y F l A F zero when you see your umber?
All right? Thank I mean anonymous, I mean anonymous? Thank you? Hello,
(18:20):
tell us a secret anonymous color. Okay. So about four
years ago I called the ass why are you creep in?
And you can't be faked with the super so I
can't think that I was gonna tell So they just
started paying me like extra money every week or whatever.
When I got paid. Wow, Yeah, she got tired of
(18:44):
paying me, so she was on. She was on it
like you know what, I just think you're kind of cute.
So she started sleeping with me and cut him off.
Oh my god, how much extra were you getting paid? Though?
I'm wondering three to four hundred like whatever my check was.
It look like I just paid it different to making
a thousand dollars. So my check was like, think you'll
(19:05):
give me four Oh wow? Would you rather have had
the money or the sexual relationships? Sexual relationship? Huh? I
mean like after a while, like she started giving me
bread just you know, on the strength. So it kind
of worked out, you know, for both of us. Okay,
do you ever have any intention of telling or is
(19:26):
this it to the graves? Yeah, it's still going on.
Oh no, this ain't going on that type of like
four years ago. Now, I wasn't saying that the company exactly.
The company got shut down because the supervisor was pretty
much robbing them anyway. So okay, okay, all kind of
things going on. Well, I'm glad you got your part.
I'm glad you had something out of it. Risburg slam.
(19:51):
All right, Well, thank you for sharing with us. Where
is no problem? All right? Well that was tell us
a sexy secret. And when we come back, we have
a yet, we'll be talking about these Kanye West rumors.
Is he back with Adidas? On way up with Angela Yee? Sure,
she's about to blow the lead about this boy, get
it yet, Come and get the tea. Yes, it's way
(20:14):
up with Angela Yee. And it's time for Yet with
Godfrey and Jasmine Brandy. Happy Friday, guy, Happy Friday. He
still madam me a little bit. You guys are mad
I'm going out to eat dinner without telling yesterday. Okay,
we'll shout out to Tasha. But let's talk about this
Little Yaddi conversation, A moody conversation, me interviewing my best
(20:35):
friend Jersey Drake from my sunglass company. Full interview. It's
gonna come out today, and everybody's talking about this. This
is a teaser clip from this interview. I feel like
I'm kind of introducing the concept in my mind of
a graceful exit. So everybody's speculating, is Jake talking about
a graceful exit from the music business or is this
(20:56):
just a ploy to get us to listen to this
interview with Little Yaddi, which we would have listened to anyway, right,
So it could be just something that gets the people buzzing,
kind of like ll Cool Jay saying he's not putting
out his album and then letting you know, it's too good.
It's here. We are talking about it all right, Kanye
West Akaya, it's rumored to be back with Adidas. Now,
(21:17):
mind you, these are just rumors, so this is not confirmed.
I saw this on Hot New Hip Hop. Okay, but
according to these rumors, they have recent agreement to sell
all remaining Yeasy inventory, and it's five hundred million dollars
worth of Yeasy shoes that were supposed to come out
this year. They renew deal only focuses on existing inventory.
(21:37):
So this is not confirmed anywhere, but this is what
people I have been buzzing about. So we're just letting
you know. You think there's any truth to this? I
don't know. But people are still wear their yeasies. Yeah. Yeah,
I think they were affected when they released them. Absolutely. Yeah,
that's what's up though. Yeah, they're like, we're not going
to take this big of an l They need me.
See I told you they need me. I told you that.
(22:00):
See I told you they need me, and I was
telling Jasmine earlier. But financially it makes sense. Yeah, you do,
sound like financially it makes sense Chicago. But a lot
of times we make I make like emotionally financial decision.
We were talking about it this morning, right yeah, and
so this sounds like a look, we just gotta figure
out how to get something. Yeah, yeah, all right. Now,
(22:21):
Ti has posted the court paperwork to shut people down.
Everybody's been calling him a snitch online, and so he
went on social media and posted it to let people
know that he has not snitched, and he has no
problem showing the court paperwork to let you know that.
Because Boosey has said that he's not gonna put out
this collab album with TI because TI is a snitch
(22:42):
for telling on his cousin who passed away and putting
all the blame on him. Now, this could also be
employed for their collab album. People are saying that now too.
It could. It probably is if this is ray J.
This is definitely this is a ray J move. But
I don't know that it is. But I'm saying that's
what everyone's like. It's could just be more from everybody
gets fooled by that. It's always like a play around
(23:04):
the album releases and stuff. A lot of time it
works though, Yeah, but maybe not. But anyway, Boosey did
another interview with lad and in this interview, he was
talking about his daughter and his daughter has come out
as gay and he was asked about whether or not
they would accept it. And here's what Boosey had to
say about the family. Okay, did you know about this
(23:25):
before she made a public or not? Really? I didn't,
but our family is a real Southern Baptist man, so
I haven't got to respect for her family and everything
for what she does. Her coming out at this age
is that's when you know what you want, even though
it's not it won't be accepted as far as because
I don't want another body another and my other family
(23:48):
to get think it's okay, but we're gonna love her
to death. But at the same time, our southern our family,
it's never been that way. But at the same time,
she grown, she can do with the hell she won't.
He sounds very torn and confused. He's like, yes, but
she can't go to my house, but she can do
it in the yard. Well he did not in the yard,
(24:10):
but you can't come in the living room. She'll be
the I mean, she's the first. Everyone has to be
a first to you know, kind of open up the door. First.
I thought, he said before he had gave people in
his family, though I thought people that gave people that
work for steal from you. Okay, yeah, all right to that.
Here's a busy had to say, because I guess his
daughter doesn't really communicate any of her relationships with him
(24:33):
prior to this. Were you a little disappointed that she
didn't come to you personally to talk to you about this.
My daughter never really came to me personally talking about
no relationship. Do you think it's because of your stance
on certain things that maybe she felt uncomfortable? Probably? Yes,
Well I don't like gay people saying something a while
(24:56):
ago that went viral her wrapping. Yes, she's nice, she's
really so bright. Yeah, she's nice with it. He should
she could wrap that. I'm sorry, Joe, come on, was
that bad? Yes? All right? Well sound like keeping the
press ghosts, keep it on the internet. I'm scaring you,
(25:23):
all right? Well, that is Way Up with Angela yee.
That was your yet the views expressed by God for
your nothing views expressed by the West of arrest of
Way Up with Angela Yee. She's want to find that
out there and when we come back, we have under
the radar. These are stories that are flying under the radar,
but we feel like you need to know them. Maybe
they're not headline news stories, but let's talk about it.
Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's very serious. But regardless, it's
(25:46):
something that you probably won't hear elsewhere. You hear here
on Way Up with Angela ye man. We all the
way up with Angela. Remember the night, the news, news,
the news that relates to you. These stories are flying
under the radar. All right. It's way up with Angela
and it's time for under the radar with God Free
(26:07):
and Jasmine Brand the radar all right. Well, retailers across
the United States are having an issue with an increase
in store theft. So according to tell people like you
can't stop people if they're stealing me. Supposed to them, yeah,
just let them go report it, maybe call the cops
or whatever. But they have all these technological tools now
(26:30):
to combat theft and fraud. There's AI driven video analytics
at the point of sale. They've locked a lot of
things up. When I went to the drug store the
other day, I was trying to buy bleach for my
clothes to do my white laundry, and everything was locked up, detergent.
I was trying to give just some body washing. It
was locked up. I was trying to get petroleum. Come on,
(26:54):
lock it up. I ain't gonna lie. And it wasn't
annoying because now you gotta go get somebody, wait for
them to come unlock the cake and half of them
behind and be like, oh man, I'll be back. And
sometimes when you get your thing out of you get
your item out of there, they make you go straight
to the register. Yeah. Oh yeah out Now I'm like no.
So they're saying that that whole method though of locking
things up, actually deters people from purchasing too, because you
(27:17):
don't want to have to wait, and then some people like, oh,
I forget it, I'll just go on order this online. Yeah. Well,
now in New York they're starting this pilot program on
thirty fourth Street at the CBS and they have dogs
now in the store that are going to actually help
with store that that's a little aggressive. Wow. So according
to the vice president of security for the thirty fourth
(27:39):
Street Partnership, they said that the dogs don't don't engage
in pursuit of thieves, but their presence along with the
guards in the stores has already made a difference. It's
effective so far, they said, they've had a couple of
people who were known shoplifters who saw the dog and
walked out without stealing anything. They said, as an example,
a man attempted to leave the CVS start with stolen
merchandise but drop the items to being approached by the
(28:01):
security officer and the dolls but this is a ninety
five billion dollar problem for the industry. Yeah wow. According
to reports. Now on the flip side of this, people
who have money are spending it. Gucci is opening up
new stores, new shops, and nothing will cost less than
forty thousand dollars. I need to stay out of it
(28:22):
in the store, and it's gonna go up to as
much as three million dollars for jewelry, so I imagine that.
So they're going to focus on their wealthiest clients. Right now,
they're really trying to battle with Louis Vatan because Louis
Vatan is doing extremely well. So part of their battle
is them opening up these high end boutiques where everything
is forty thousand dollars or more. I love Louis Vatan.
(28:42):
What's your your favorite brand in this realm is Channel.
I love Chanel, and then under that is Louis Vatan.
Right now that we're still in black history, like company
was the one that disrespected us and we continue to
buy from them, I'm just saying that, don't forget all right,
And Nieman Markets, the CEO was under fire, and that's
because he said that he no longer wants to cater
(29:06):
to people that aren't wealthy, and so he said, many
customers shop at Nieman Marcus twenty five times a year
and spend twenty seven thousand dollars. I see much more
risk and having a one time transaction where I don't
know if you will ever come back. So he doesn't
want people to shop there if they don't have the
money like that. He doesn't even want to do the
discount stores. I read you you peasants like Marcus. I like,
(29:28):
and I like Last Call, which is their outlet. But
he said that he couldn't see customers who shopped at
Last Call and then became Nieman Marcus customers. So he
doesn't want to do that. And so that is you're
under the radar story since we're talking about finances and
all of that. Now, we do have the Top of
the Hour coming up with the Way Up Mix, and
(29:49):
we have Key Glock joining us today. He has a
new project out Glackhoma too. It's way up with Angela. Yee.
It's like like a ANGELI ye, like a angel Ye
he's spilling it all this yet Hey, it's way up
with Angela. Ye. Got freeze here with me, Look Alive.
Jasmine Brands look alive? Is Friday? All right? I like that.
(30:12):
Look alive runs me in my baseball coach. Look alive,
look a live? All right. Well, let's start talking about
a little bit of crypto stuff. Okay. Alexis Ohanian you
know him as Serena Williams husband, but also one of
the co founders of Reddit. He actually made an early
bed on crypto. It's all about when you got into it,
and he ended up buying Serena Williams seventeen carroting. It's
(30:33):
a fifteen thousand dollars to buy fifteen thousand ether and
today one of those single tokens is worth about sixteen
hundred and fifty one dollars, which is eighty three million dollars. Wow. Yeah,
So you've always talked about crypto, crypto, but if you
would have gotten early, I have a little little little bit. Okay,
I never crypted. You never crypted, all right, And he
(30:56):
told Forbes in hindsight, I didn't invest nearly as much
as I should have. But you know, he said, basically,
he sounds like a good deal to me. That's all.
I'm gonna Let me talk about a seventeen carre engagement ring.
Do you walk around with the security with you. That's
a lot of I mean, I guess you have insurance
(31:16):
cheventeen carriage. What's up that? It's a lot of carriage
all right. Now, asap, Rocky has a new beauty role
with Gucci, so congratulations to him. He was named as
one of the faces of Gucci Guilty, the fragrance line
Gucci Guilty Gucci you have Guilty, Yeah, I haven't. You
have a lot of different fragrances. Is it? How much?
(31:39):
Is it? Is it crazy expensive? No, it's not. It's
not guilty that all right. Usher and La Reid have reunited.
They're starting a new record label together, so he's on
the verge of doing some new music. He put out
his new single Glue. Of course, everybody's been going to
his residency in Vegas, which he extended. Yeah, I went
(31:59):
if amazing. He's dope though. Rusher's fire. Well. He has
reunited with his longtime friend La Reid in twenty twenty one,
and they were very instrumental in each other's careers before
they had a little falling out, but now they're going
to be coming back and doing a new record label together,
so that could be really exciting. Why did they fall out?
(32:20):
Uh that's all okay, Yeah, you write Godfrey, it's already thirty.
And then attack on twenty years and a federal child
porn case. He was sentenced to twenty years in prison
in the Chicago federal courtroom yesterday, following his conviction last
year on charges of child pornography and enticement of a minor.
(32:41):
Some would say he deserves this time. Well hey, you
know wow, right right, all right, So Chicago's own now,
Harvey wat I know, I know from Chicago. Harvey Weinstein
got a sixteen year prison sentence in his rape trial.
According to Deadline. He received that sentence in a court
in la yesterday, about two months after he was convicted
(33:03):
of raping and sexually assaulting and Italian actress identified as
Jane Doe number one. So he is still maintaining his innocence,
and that sentencing came amidst his twenty three year prison
sentence that he got in New York where he was
convicted of similar crimes. And he's seventy right now. Yeah,
he's gonna likely spend the rest of his life. Yeah,
(33:24):
behind bars, all right, Well, a lot going on, guys,
that's why you guys just leave women alone forever. That's
why you just have to be appropriate. I just don't
bother anybody. That's why you just have to not sexually
assault anybody to satisfy yourself. A lot going on, and
(33:44):
it is a Friday, guys, good, I love it. Do
you have exciting plans for the weekend? Do I actually
am doing an event today? It is Black History Month
and I do have an event with Shopify today that
people can Also, Daily Paper is doing their Dreamville collaboration
in their store in New York City today and you
can get their stuff online as well. Okay, and so
(34:06):
my coffee company, Coffee Uplifts people, We'll be providing the
coffee for that. But what about you me? I have
shows tonight at the Village Underground and a comedy cellar. Yes,
I got about four four shows tonight. You know it'll
be me already from Kwan. A whole bunch of other
people got shows tonight, man in New York because next
week I'll be in Lexington, Kentucky. March second to the
(34:28):
fourth Comedy off Broadway, then Mohegan Sun. All right, it's
the Comics Roadhouse March ninth through the twelve then Saint
Louis de lou I'll be in Helium and Saint Louis.
That's March seventeenth through the nineteenth. Yo, follow me on Instagram.
Comedian got and it is Black History Month, so we
will have some celebrations of that when we come back
(34:49):
on way up at the Angel, we'll talk about some
some people who are making history at all times. Going way,
talk about some businesses. You're all ready to get to business,
Jasmine brand God for you? Yeah? Sorry, all right, Well,
first let's talk about UM Atlanta. Did you know that
(35:10):
Atlanta is the top place for black owned business? Did
you know that all reports that is crazy that only
two point four percent of US businesses have black owners. Yeah,
well it's called UM. Yeah, it's called we won't want
you to have business. Well, we're doing, We're coming, We're coming,
We're you know, Yeah, it's coming once we get more
(35:32):
fair treatment and more loans. And I heard there's a
lot my friends at own business. Sometimes it's just hard
to get loans because they're just don't want you to
have it, right, Yeah, no, for real. And sometimes even
leasing a space, Yeah, if you want to lease a space,
there's issues with that it's a lot of that goes
into trust me. How no, because also shout out to
black farmers who are being treating there's some black farmers
(35:53):
where they're treating their livestock. These people want them off
their land, but they're fighting it back. They're black. You
know Portland, Well there's no black people there, the only
point nine percent of Yeah, that's how many people black
people are in Portland. Well we are, we are we
coming to Portland. I perform a Portland Helium. Another helium.
(36:15):
There's helium. Isn't that where Nike's headquarters Portland? Yeah, that's
where Portland is. Yeah, okay, all right, now let's talk
about another business. Another business and two port Jeffers Losses
of loved ones and so they have their own Caring
Transitions franchise that helps local community members with services like
(36:36):
senior moves, downsizing, and online estate sales. What a great service. Yeah,
because you know how difficult it is, especially emotionally you're grieving,
but then you have to handle business. Yeah, at the
same time, and sometimes also with family members. We've seen
how difficult that can be. It becomes a mess sometimes
that there's we're like diversifying our portfolio because a lot
of times, a lot of times black businesses are like Chi,
(36:58):
that's not true with Macaroni, that is not true. Now,
the mission they sat behind Caring Transition Services is a
streamline and simplify a very complex I want to think
about what's going to happen when someone's not here anymore,
but at times you do have to plan for that too.
Get shout out to Caring Transitions Franchise. Okay, go ahead,
(37:18):
what No, I'm just saying let me know what I
need to go ahead? No, because you know I can't
wait to talk in mind Black History Month voice. Yes,
it's that. Thomas Jennings invented the process he called dry scouring,
receiving a patent in eighteen twenty one and becoming the
first African American to be granted a patent. His dry
scouring process was a predecessor to today's dry cleaning methods. Okay,
(37:42):
so a you're talking about George Jennings. I don't know
what dry scouring was. Dry scouring well, back in the
day was dry scouring. That's seventeen hundreds. But yeah, he
pretty much. He was a skilled tailor and successful businessman
in New York city, and so yeah, he's the invention
of dry cleaning. Thomas Jennings, black man, I mean I
think we adveted everything. By the way, it sounds like
(38:03):
there's more coming everyone more coming. And did you know
that you could dry clean at home? I do that
sometimes you dry scour. Yeah, they have this. Okay, here
we go because I'm really bad at taking closer to
dry cleaners. Okay, so I do use this product called
dry l d ever use that? No, So basically all
you do is it's a sheet and you put it
in a special bag, you put it in the dryer
(38:25):
for thirty minutes, and your clothes are dry clean. It's amazing.
But what's it called dry dry L d R y
e L. This is not advertisement. I just really know
I haven't seen I haven't seen it in your place.
Now I'm about to go, Yeah, and it's in your place.
Why I squat? Yeah, she's squats in my house. Yeah.
But it's really a good thing, especially um you really
(38:46):
can only use it at all, right, Thomas Jennings. Thomas Jennings,
all right, well that is your black history math. When
we come back, Key Glock is going to be joining
us on way up with Angela Ea. But what's up?
It is the way up with Angela yee And I'm
here with God for you. She was a sauce in
(39:07):
Chick fil A. What is the sauce that you're going with?
I am going with barbecue pretty standard over here. From barbecue,
I'm going with Chick fil a sauce. I know everybody
loves like the barbecue, then two Chick fil a sauces,
barbecue anything, but I never really tried. Yeah, I always
get the Chick fil A sauce. I like, why is
the Polynesians like even like McDonald's, boy, they sting you
(39:29):
with the barbecue. They give you one yeah, eight thousand
pounds of high be like, here's your charge you for
if you request extra quarters that they were giving out
free Chick fil amazing remember that. I was like, damn,
I get a nugget. Yeah I didn't get anything. I
mean either didn't you didn't get any on your day?
(39:50):
I know. But shout out to Brandon from Chick Fila.
I love to see a black owned Chick fil A
right over there, dinner the empire had for him. Yeah,
we disrupted it. We disrupted. We came in late yes
and messed up everything late and loud late, and they
were like, excuse me, can y'all just we were like,
why something happening? They were in the front about to
(40:11):
do a presentation and give him his platinum plaque. This
is a true story, um, and so we'll be talking
to him about that. Also. We'll also be discussing new
music because it is Friday and there's a lot of
amazing new music out today, not just Kid glocks album,
but you saw a little Wayne featuring DMX and Swizz
has some stuff out. Chris Brown and Chloe were going
(40:33):
to talk about that this morning too, and new music okay,
so you'll get it to you going where y'all with
Angela Yee with Angela Ye more? Now what's up? His
way up with Angela Yee And Kid Glock is here
with us and Jasmine Brand is here too. What's up? Listen?
(40:53):
Kid Glock is on guard because last time we've seen
him was on Lift Service. He with viral. Yeah he did,
and it's funny. I would talk about why you went viral,
but I saw they had you on the neighborhood talk.
Did you see this today? Ye to do with lip
service And I'm gonna tell you what it was, and
we're gonna see if anything changed since then. My man,
(41:14):
my man, my man, neighbors, it's kid glock fine or nah.
And so a lot of the girls said yeah, but
they had one issue with you. What's that? Well, when
you was on lift service, you said you said that,
you said you don't perform earl sex. So when you
(41:36):
you look at her eyes, good, you never tried it,
you wouldn't one. But I ain't never tried it. I
ain't never tried it because you do have glaucoma too now,
so I know it's going crazy right right. I don't
look at the blogs too much. Only time I look
at it's like when you get sick to me, okay, yeah,
(41:58):
when somebody's saying it to and be like you just
seen this, or than I don't find them okay. Other
than all of that, how is everything going for you?
I ain't smooth right now? Okay. No features on this album, No,
not this one, okay. So that's always a conscious decision.
And you even did a song about it to you
pay yourself for your features exactly every time. Every time.
(42:21):
I think that's really the mark us somebody who's a
good lyricist when you could put out a whole project
and they say, like an EP this is how many
songs as at. People were saying that you're really good
at picking beats too. Oh yeah, except for things you
don't do right right, because I don't know your bread
and butter. But what else does key Glock do? As
far as investments and thinking about the future. I'm gonna
(42:45):
keep some of it to myself because I don't want to.
I don't want to blew it just yet. Okay, So
you have something in the work. I don't like talking
about stuff until I get it done. Okay. I don't
want to just pitch too much on it that you
have some things coming for restaurant food got him? No
baby kind of you want to know? Yes, you want
(43:06):
to know if I'm behind it though. Anyway, it's cool,
all right? Well again, Ki Glock, thank you so much
for coming through. We appreciate you, and congratulations on the
tour dates already selling out so people can get their tickets.
Where can they go to look for that? Keylock dot com?
Make it easy? Ye? Thanks again key Glock for joining us.
His project is out right now. Glock Homa too, and
(43:28):

the things that everybody's talking about. Okay, all right, Chris
Brown and Chloe's new song is out today. Send the singer.
You remember there was a lot of bad class from that. Yeah,
so oh sorry, I'm not doing this in order, my
bad hold the hall done, I'll back up. I'll do
it in order, all right. Also, as far as new projects,
you heard, we just had Key Glock on right and

from the Bass called Dirt. They're not a gang trying
to throw dirt on my name drinking my coat. No,
Kirkko bang Ye Glock be the name and you're not.

beat with a DM excel all right? Yes? You like that?
(46:55):
I like that? All right? Well that is way up
with Angela. Ye new music when we come back. Ask
you eight hundred nine fifty one fifty If you have
any questions, let me know going where y'are? Turnout with
Angela yee with it's relationship or career advice. Angela's dropping facts.
What's up guy? Just way up with angela Ye gyfees here,
(47:16):
Jasmine brand is here and it's time for ask ye
eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty isn't number? Hello?
Who's this? Oh my gosh off tours talk to you also,
thirst Um. So I've been danding my work for for
a year. It was a year this test valent Time's Day,
so we like celebrated it, had a really good time
(47:39):
and then like all this adventures stuff. It was really
nice and we've been talking about moving in together. But
I am a single mom and I really do love him.
He loves me and my kids. It's great. It's just
I'm honestly never had a healthy relationship like this before,
so issues weird. Its usually been like talk big relationships
(48:01):
in the past, and I'm just like nervous on making
a move like this because I've never done anything like
this or anybody else other than just for me and
my kids. So I oh, Sierra, So you love him,
he loves you. There's no bad things happening in the
relationship sometimes, and I have to agree with you. A
(48:23):
lot of times we get used to relationships being dysfunctional
and then we get scared when things haven't gone right
in our past to try something and move past all
of that. And we think about all the bad things
that could happen. But how are you ever going to
be able to celebrate something that's amazing and take a
risk and take a chance on that and on yourself
and your happiness and your kids happiness if you don't
(48:44):
just move forward? Right? How many children do you have
and how old are they? And does he have children?
He doesn't have any kids. I have two boys. My
oldest is gonna be seven next month, okay, and then
my youngest is right now, okay. And I feel like
it's a blessing. Like so sometimes we sabotage our relationships
(49:05):
because we're so in our head about what could potentially
go wrong and what other people have done to us.
And you know, are are there red flags or is
it something going on that's making you nervous or is
it just your own past? I think it's just my
own past. And because there's no red flags, it's like
and he's said the same thing, like he feels like
(49:27):
I'm too good to be true. I feel like he's
too good to be true. It's just like sounds like
sounds like soulmates to me. No, but I don't know
why we do that right sometimes, and that's not even
just relationships. Things are going so good, we keep thinking
something bad it's about to happen. And relationships do always
have ups and downs. But as long as you guys
(49:47):
are always communicating and like you said, you love each other.
He treats your kids really well. He wants to be
with you, you want to be with him. I don't
see why anything should prevent that from happening, right, Okay,
take a chance with happiness. Thank you, good lux Sierra,
thank you. She sound happy as hell, but she's afraid
(50:08):
of the happiest. It's so amazing. I don't think it
feels right. All right, Well that was asking thank you
guys for calling. And remember the number again. It's eight
hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. Anything you need
you can always call us up. You can ask for advice,
you can leave a message, you can shine a light
(50:30):
on them, you can weigh in on whatever it is.
And when we come back, we'll do just that. With
your last word on way up with Angela, Ye, yeah,
that's like it's the same thing. Yeah, No, one's mad
at money. But it's gift card. See the gift card.
Not like this, this is a money card. No, it's
a gift card all right. I was just looking at
that because I think I have a gift card. Start
out gift cards. I have one at who they really
(50:52):
do they like that to go the corporate thing corporate
And at my coffee shop, coffee uplifts people, we have
gift cards as well. Hey, let's wait a plug and
I plugged myself. Here's a gift huh. March second to
the fourth, Lexington, Kentucky, Come comedy off Broadway. Folks, come
see me, come see him. And right now it is
time for your last word. That's when you guys get
(51:13):
to call in and have the last word. Eight hundred
two fifty one fifty on a Friday. Yeah. My name
is Nicole. I'm from Georgia. I was listening to the
show yesterday. Um we didn't give him a spotlight, and
I heard the call of Lamar called in and he
was saying how he was a pingle dand of four girls.
(51:33):
And I myself, I'm from Georgia. I'm a single mom
of one son and three girls, so I can definitely
relate to that, especially not having anyone to talk to
or to be supportive. So I just wanted to know
that you, I know that really touched me and then
was very relatable. Um and I can definitely understand where
(51:53):
he was coming from that. So I also wanted to
shine a light on Lamar. I don't know you personally,
but just on that because I can and relate. Kudos
to you, my brother. Hey, my name is Jess and
I'm responding to ask ye. I am about the young
lady who called and she's happy with her man and
she's skeptical. Girl, be happy. My man didn't have any
(52:13):
kids and I'm at hum I had two boys as well.
We're married. Now be happy, don't be skeptical and enjoy
your relationships. Thank you. Yeah, my name is O'Shane. I
wanted to shine the light on my sister that she
came up with her book Never Give Up. Yeah. She's
a big fan of Angel of the yeas bigger fan
Angel of the Yeek going way out attorney with Angela
(52:36):
Yee
