Speaker 1 (00:01):
You are now Angelo what I ye, Yes, it's way yep.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
But Angela yee, I'm Angela Yee. And Jasmine from the
Jasmine Brand is here.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Good morning, Angela, Good morning man.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
This whole I cannot believe this Donald Trump town hall.

Speaker 4 (00:24):
I know, man, when I tell you, he.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Just says anything. The fact that he is still there
letting him run like you shouldn't be able to. First
of if you feel like an election was rigged, then
maybe you shouldn't run for election.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
If you don't believe in it.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Yeah, you don't believe in this.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
You can't tell people that it's fraudulent. But then I
want to go be part of this fraudulent system, because
then can't you rig it for you too?

Speaker 3 (00:45):
I wouldn't, yeah you, I would think you wouldn't want
to participate.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
And the fact that he said that he would part
in many of.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
The January sixth rioters, it's crazy.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
Well, he just says anything.

Speaker 5 (00:59):
I feel like I used to think that he was
just doing it for attention, but I kind of feel
like he really believes the stuff that he's saying.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
I think that he wants you to believe this thing.
He has to know you think he's trolling. No, I
think that he's trying to manipulate the media, okay, because
it's worked for him for so long, it really has.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
Yeah, and there's people.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
That support him no matter what, and so I feel
like that gives him energy like a and we're always
talking about him like a super villain, Like can we
just ignore that he should even be allowed to do this?

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:33):
But anyway, Yes, that's neither here nor there. Today is
a Thursday, So you know, I love Thursdays because Mastery of.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Comedy is today.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Okay, that's where we interview different comedians, and today Dean Edwards,
who is a good friend of me. And I actually
known Dean Edwards probably, I've known him for over twenty years.

Speaker 5 (01:52):
You know everyone in comedy you have this. Were you
a comedian in your past life?

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Angelo?

Speaker 2 (01:57):
No, but I actually used to promote a comedy show
and he was one of the hosts. It was him,
It was Mark THEA Bald and it was Toddlin. Todd
lind has passed away, but he and Mark THEO Bald
are still really good friends. Mark was writing for the
last og Tracy Morgan show.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
I like that show.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yeah, him and Tracy Morgan are really tight. So Gean
Edwards is in a play. It's called Race the movie
the play off Broadway.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Oh that's an interesting name.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
And also Brett Rayballd is going to be joining us.
He's also a comedian and they're doing his play together. Okay, cool, Yes,
so that's happening today. But of course we always start
the show off with shining a light. That's where you
get to call in and shine a light on somebody
doing something positive. Eight hundred two ninety fifty one fifty
is the number. Call us up right now if you
just want to shine a light on him, shout somebody out.

(02:44):
It could be somebody you know, it could be somebody
you saw on the news, somebody who came.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Across in real life.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
But let's just do something positive today, Okay, because I
was a little upset just now. I cannot watch a
Donald Trump town hall, but I can read about it.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
Right, it's way up with Angela. Ye.

the last minute he was able to come and do
these pictures. But anytime I had something going on, if
it's at my coffee shop or wherever it is, he's
really great at showing up. I had an event at
Chelsea Piers where I was giving and that's a fitness
center where we were giving a whole talk about my
coffee brand, Coffee Uplifts people dot Com. But he always

(03:54):
does show up. He sends us the pictures.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
He always has a really good attitude.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
He's very personable, professional and very professional. I'm gonna post
some of those pictures today, but shout out to photos
by j It's not easy to find somebody that could
be on time, also be reliable also that you could
call at the last minute and you know that they're
going to show up.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
His work is good.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Yeah, his work is good. So shout out to you.
Photos by Dre. We appreciate you.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
I'm the type of person that I like, don't even
think about getting a photographer sometimes until the last minute
and somebody says to me, did you get a photographer?

Speaker 4 (04:25):
And I'm like, man, I need to do that all right?

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Well again, we are shining a light on people doing
something positive, just showing some love.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
Maybe it'll make somebody's day.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
And it's time for y'all to shine a light eight
hundred nine fifty one fifty destiny.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
How are you?

Speaker 8 (04:38):

Speaker 9 (04:41):

(06:06):
come back, we have yet and divorce can be really ugly.
We'll tell you about impending divorce and what is happening
selling luxury handbags. Sometimes you got to get to the
money when you know that there's gonna be some financial hardships.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
It's way up with Angela. Ye, they say the rooms.

Speaker 6 (06:22):
From industry shade to all the gossip out Angela's feeling that.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Yes, it's way up at Angela. Ye, Angela yee. Jasmine
from the Jasmine brand dot Com is here.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Good morning Angela, and we're.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
Doing yet it's that time.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
And Rihanna and Asap Rocky, their son's name has finally
been revealed.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
Their baby boy.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
His name is Rizzazazza Appleston Mayors Ale.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
Yes, is that how you say it?

Speaker 3 (06:53):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Yeah, I don't know if that's how you pronounce it,
but that's what it looks like. And so they have
finally revealed the name. Any they realized we didn't know
the baby's name. We saw some pictures.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
You know, we don't know Nicki Minaja's son's name either.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
They's clumb Papa Bear Yeah, which is adorable mm hmm.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
And so obviously, uh you know acep Rocky uh.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
And Rihanna's dad, Ronald Fancy, they were not revealing the name.
Her dad had actually told page six, she'll have my
head if I tell you.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
And so there you go.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
And sidebar question. So Asap Rocky's real name is Rock
Kim is he named me have.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
To rock him? His mom was a big rock Kim fan.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Okay, so kind of the tracks for them.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Yeah, Okay, that's dope. Rizza feels about that.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Now, Kim Zosiak from Real Housewives of Atlanta, you know,
she's getting a divorce her and her husband Kroi.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
They've been married for what twelve years?

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Okay, and apparently behind the scenes, this is something she's
been planning for a while. And I'm sure people don't
just all of a sudden wake up and say I
want to get a divorce, right, and so, uh, people
are saying things could end up getting kind of nasty
since they revealed that they're getting divorced. It also turns
out they owe the irs over one million dollars.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
In back taxes.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
That's a lot of money, right, And then she also
filed for divorce, seeking primary custody of their children and
the restoration of her maiden name, and then Croy counter filed,
also demanding primary custody of the kids.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Okay, that might be an issue.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Yeah, So usually when people start filing for like primary custody,
that that could mean something that.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Might be a little bit of an issue.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
She's also selling off her luxury handbags. Okay, let's buy some, Angela,
Let's buy some Okay and listen. I don't know if
they're selling them, if they're worth more, or if they're
going to be a bargain situation. But she's always had
her closet that she does online. I guess where she
sells things. So I don't know if this is an indication.
But they do have that million dollar tax bill. That's

(08:46):
not easy. And according to report, she's also going to
be a contender for that Ultimate Girls trip that they do.

Speaker 5 (08:53):
That's good to see her on that. You see in
here that she's going to be selling some wigs, some
of her wigs.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Yeah, she's selling some of her wigs too. So do
you buy other people's wigs? I do not buy other
people's hair. It feels very personal. Yeah, so I don't
know if these are used with well.

Speaker 5 (09:09):
I guess I wear extensions and stuff, so that's technically
not my hair, So I'm buying someone.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
Else's Is it real? Human?

Speaker 7 (09:15):
Here?

Speaker 5 (09:15):
I do have some human ants and synthetic in hair,
so okay, maybe I should just buy some of Kim's wigs.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
Yeah, you should. I think that look would be nice
on you.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
I don't think so at all.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
I'm gonna look online and see if we can get
you one. Okay, all right, now, let's talk about fifty cents.
He is doing his final lap tour with Buster Rhymes
and Jeremiah. We've talked about that, and he sat down
and did an interview with USA today and he talked
about what that show was.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
Going to be like.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
He said, it's gonna be a whole new show. Don't
expect to see things that he's done in the past.
But he also talks about some regrets that he has.
Listen to what he said, it's.

Speaker 12 (09:49):
Deffinite because I'm changing the show. Gona be a whole
new show.

Speaker 14 (09:52):
So s cool.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
Whatever we gonna expect, I'm.

Speaker 15 (09:54):
Saying, well, I would make sure I hit the things
that I missed. Sometimes out of habit you go to
and records and people loved other things on it. Yeah,
so I'm only make sure I touched those things before.
I don't do those records anymore.

Speaker 9 (10:08):
Are we gonna get any more upside down crunch it?

Speaker 7 (10:12):
I don't know if I wanted to do that.

Speaker 15 (10:13):
I think that was a mistake for the Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
Remember when he was hanging upside I do it's in
the club.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
That was a famous part of in the club when
he was doing those crunches.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
But he said it was a mistake.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
He said, everybody else walked in regular the song still
went over and they got the trophy too. They all
went an Emmy. They got the same thing I got,
and I had to put myself upside down.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
But it's a memorable moment. We all remember that. So
I'm glad that he did that.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Well he's also glad he didn't fall, he said, because
people would have made fun of him for years to come.
So imagine, Yeah, most people can't hang upside down, and
I'm sure even as you get older, it's even.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
I know that was a little attractive. I'm not gonna
lie that he could do that.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Yeah, all right, Well shout out to fifty cent. I
feel like we got to go see that tour. When
I was working for eminem, I ended up going on
that tour or the get Richard died trying. So he
actually he went on tour with jay Z and he
also went on tour with eminem.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
I went on both of those tours.

Speaker 5 (11:07):
You're kind of a legend in this business, Angela, I
didn't perform, don't matter.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
You were there, all right.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Well that is here, and when we come back, we
have about last night where we talk about what we
did last night and then y'all could chime into it's
way ye put Angela yee.

Speaker 7 (11:22):
So about last night?

Speaker 4 (11:24):
Last night, last night I.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Went down, Yes, it's the way YU put Angela yee.
I'm Angela Yee and Jazz and from the Jasmine brand
is here.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
And last night, well, really, during the day after I
left work, I actually went to the DMVA.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
Now you cannot go to the DMV in New York.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
I don't know what it's like everywhere else without making
an appointment. So I made an appointment. And the reason
why I went is my license. One day I had
forgotten it. I think I was with you. I was
in DC, and I actually had somebody overnight my license
to me and UPS lost it.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
Never found it.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Okay, remember that I was waiting and waiting all day
at the hotel. Then I have to leave and catch
my flight and UPS just never found my license.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
No explanation what happened to it?

Speaker 2 (12:07):
So's I didn't have a license at all, but I
decided that instead of just getting another replacement to get
the real ID. Because I keep hearing these things that
everybody has to get.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
A real ID. Do you have a real ID?

Speaker 3 (12:21):
I did not have a real ID, so it.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Was supposed to expire this month that you have to try.
You needed it to travel, But now they've extended it
for two years. So I didn't even know what it's
for the point of it, but I was like, let
me just go ahead and get it, get it out
of the way, because they're saying in two years if
you don't have it, it's better for you to try
to do it now so that you don't have to
wait in these crazy lines and delays to try to

(12:44):
get it to happen. But it's a law that was
passed by Congress in two thousand and five, and so
it says it establishes minimum security standards for state issue
forms of ID like driver's licenses. So once this law
takes effect, you'll have to present a compliant ID in
order to board an airplane.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Okay, so we'll all need this at some point if
we want to travel.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
But listen, get a deeper dive to find out what
it is.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Where's the deep d hut music.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
There we go, And so can you travel without a
real ID? Okay is the question?

Speaker 4 (13:18):
For now?

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Yes, enforcement starts May seventh, twenty five. Now they will
still accept older non compliant documented at TSA tech points,
but after the deadline, you'll need a real ID document
to travel.

Speaker 4 (13:31):
But that doesn't mean you need to get a new
driver's license.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
They'll take your passport and they'll take other IDs issued
by the federal government government, so they can accept those.
But normally to travel domestically you wouldn't need to bring
your passport.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
But now, okay, so we have until twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Right now May seven, twenty and they keep on extending it.
I just want to say that too, So who knows,
maybe they'll extend it again. But I said, you know what,
let me just instead of getting a replacement, I might
as well just go ahead and get this and get
it out of the way.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
Did you have a long wait at the DMB.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
No, you have to make an appointment.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
They won't even let you in without one, and so
I was probably there for about forty five minutes, So
shout out to them.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
They were pretty quick.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
But you do have to make sure you bring a
lot of paperwork, And I suggest anybody, no matter where
you are, go online and see what paperwork you need
to bring in order to be able to go. So
I have to bring a utility bill, a bank statement,
my passport, my old license, security card, social Security card,
all of those things. That's a lot, all right. And
so with these new regulations that are going to be

(14:28):
taking place in two years, every traveler eighteen years of
age or older will need a real ID compliant driver's
license or identification card, a state issued enhanced driver's license.
They have that now too, So first they ask you,
do you have an enhanced driver's license? I didn't have
that either, Or is something else that's say acceptable.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
I've never heard of an enhanced ID.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
Right me either.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
I don't even understand why this is any different, but
I guess a lot of people there's a lot of
fraud and things going on. So the things that you
need to get the ID is a lot more strict.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
Yeah, sounds like it, all right.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
So that's what I did last night, went to the DMV.
There's no getting around it, guys. Sometimes you got to
just go into these buildings and get and then I
think certain ideas you're gonna need also to get into
federal buildings too.

Speaker 4 (15:14):
So there you have it all right.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Now, when we come back, we are going to be
talking about this topic about divorce now. I hate to
say it, but we're at that time now where people
are getting divorced, and I have a lot of people
really close to me who are going through that process
right now. Sometimes it can be really long and drawn out,
especially if one person does not want to do it,

(15:36):
or if you need a mediator, or if you have
to go to court. The best case scenario is if
both people agree and they can just not have to
worry about if you have a prenup and worry about
what you split up. But no matter what, I feel like,
nobody's having an easy time on getting a divorce. One
of my friends is having a divorce party. Oh it's
fun to celebrate her divorce. So she invited me to that.

(15:57):
But I wanted to see what you guys think because
we're talking about Kim and Kroy. Kim Zoziak and Kroy
her husband. They're getting divorced now, and some people are
saying it looks like it might get ugly.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
It does sound like it may, which is good for
TV because you know.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
Yeah, that's what we like. Yeah, I guess it is.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
I mean, it's not good for life, real life.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
But we want to know for anybody out there who's
going through it, do you have any tips, do you
have any advice?

Speaker 4 (16:23):
Or what was your divorce like? Was it simple?

Speaker 2 (16:26):
How complicated was it? Nobody gets married with the intention
of getting divorced.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
Exactly, and so it happens.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
Yeah, and it's terrible when it does happen. And for
some people it really does cause a lot to tear
you apart, especially when you are getting divorced but you
still live together.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
But eight fifty one fifty is a number. Call us up.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
We would love to hear your stories and maybe it'll
help the next person.

Speaker 4 (16:47):
It's way up with Angela.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Ye, all right, Well let's see what you guys have
to say about that.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
If you've gone through a divorce, we want to hear
your story.

Speaker 10 (17:01):
You I am, well, thank you.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
So you have a divorce story for us?

Speaker 10 (17:06):
Yeah, I have a duty for you. Unfortunately, I've been
married three times. This would be my third divorce, but
this is the one where he's we have no children,
no property, he's uncooperative, he left the state. I couldn't
find him. Finally, it's been ten years and on June

(17:28):
twenty sixth, I finally have a court date to get
the ball rolling.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
Well why is he not wanting to get divorced it's
been ten years.

Speaker 10 (17:35):
Well, yeah, in his mind he believed that. You know,
after some time, I would I guess what he would say,
come to my senses or have a change of heart
and get back with them. But no, that definitely is
not was not the case. So I'm finally happy that
on June twenty sixth, I have a court date.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
Why are you divorcing him?

Speaker 8 (17:56):
He was mentally and verbally abusive.

Speaker 10 (18:01):
Actually we actually we were married, actually for only two months.
After the second month it was over.

Speaker 16 (18:07):
We never lived together.

Speaker 10 (18:08):
It's just crazy from the beginning. But after the second month,
I did not do my due diligence, still have an annulment,
and I let it drag on. So that's how it's
kind of my flack.

Speaker 4 (18:18):
Oh my goodness, what happened?

Speaker 10 (18:20):
Horrible?

Speaker 4 (18:20):
What happened with the other two marriages?

Speaker 10 (18:22):
Oh, the other two were easy, the first one no children, divorced,
he agreed, no problem. The second one was my husband.
We had three children together, and I'm a cobo divorce,
no problem. It's just this third one that was just
call him a lunatic?

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Yeah, are you?

Speaker 4 (18:39):
Are you done with marriage after this?

Speaker 10 (18:40):
Are you still no? Because I mean, nobody's perfect and
I know I had my issues, but I want to
be married. Okay, so I'll do it again. Good luck,
just the right person?

Speaker 17 (18:51):
All right?

Speaker 4 (18:51):
Well, dude, what's the day again?

Speaker 10 (18:52):
June six?

Speaker 4 (18:55):
Right, dude, twenty six, let's go. It's a holiday, yeah, exactly.
All right, thank you.

Speaker 10 (19:00):
Nicole, You're welcome.

Speaker 16 (19:02):
Thank you like to have good day.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
You too, Ryan, how are you?

Speaker 16 (19:05):
And what's good?

Speaker 8 (19:06):
Congratulations on the show.

Speaker 16 (19:07):
And everything too well, thank you sir.

Speaker 4 (19:09):
How are you feeling?

Speaker 16 (19:10):
I'm doing good.

Speaker 8 (19:11):
On my way to get a haircut through. I got
get ready for the weekend.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
Okay, yes today, you don't want to wait till tomorrow.
It's gonna be two crowded.

Speaker 8 (19:19):
Oh nah nah, got go early?

Speaker 4 (19:21):
All right, So what's been your divorce experience?

Speaker 7 (19:23):
All right?

Speaker 8 (19:24):
So mans was kind of who was good because I
was listening to everything we was talking about how people
go through some rough time. So my AXX, she thought,
she was sick, so she went downtown. We had a
property together. She went downtown and took her name off
the joint because she thought that, you know, I wasn't
gonna be able to afford it. I was gonna file
for bankruptcy and everything like that. And yet and behold, man,

(19:45):
that thing went up maybe like one fifty in equity
and I'm banking on for that thing. So I had
a good little experience. So it was, you know, she
messed up. She messed up all yeah, because at first
I was thinking, man, what can I do to get
her office? I tried to came off, was coming up
with some plans because you know, we have to split
it half and half. But you know, her being the airhead,

(20:07):
you know, she ain't know no better.

Speaker 4 (20:09):
Why did y'all get divorced?

Speaker 8 (20:11):
Oh so we initially got together. She had a stepdaughter, right,
So I was fine with that as long as I
was going to be able to have my own in
the end. So yeah, and behold she came. It was
it was around Christmas time and then she was like, oh, yeah,
I don't want to have a baby no more. So
I said, all right, this is over because I've been
taking care of years for seven years, but now it's

(20:32):
time for me to pop one for myself. She changed
her mind, so she was legged on the contract pretty much.
So I just had to bow. And yeah. The only
reason why she bailed out I found out she was
going back. She was cheating her for me, so so
I was like, oh, so this makes sense. But it's

(20:53):
all good now because now I got two daughters for
my wife, you know, holding me down, and you know
she's she's number one right now.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
All right, amazing found you found your person? Oh yeah,
all right, well thank you?

Speaker 8 (21:06):
All right, no file.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
Hey David, how are you?

Speaker 13 (21:09):
Hello?

Speaker 16 (21:10):
Angelia? How are you?

Speaker 4 (21:11):
I'm good? Thank you were talking about divorce. What was
your experience?

Speaker 16 (21:15):
Your experience was funny because it was an ugly, ugly marriage.
It was like a roller coaster. So of course I
was ready to get out of the marriage, and so
was she at the time where she tried to file.
But the thing is, she tried to file behind my back,
you get the divorce, thinking that the course was gonna
let her get to grant her divorce. While you know

(21:36):
what I'm saying, I didn't know anything about them trying
to reach me. See what happened was I moved from
my old address that she and I were staying at,
and that's where they were sending the paperwork. So I
would see her every Sunday in church because we went
to the same church.

Speaker 11 (21:51):
Wow.

Speaker 16 (21:51):
And she knewed right, she knew the course was trying
to reach me to let me know about the divorce.
But every Sunday she didn't tell me anything about it.
She was going to the court day. She was going
down there to see the school exact.

Speaker 4 (22:09):
The lord.

Speaker 16 (22:10):
Yeah, and she she told them, I don't know where
he is.

Speaker 10 (22:13):
I don't know where he is.

Speaker 16 (22:14):
And how I know about this is that when I
finally got a letter, the post office sent all my
mail that was backed up at the old address. And
when I put a new address in when I got
me another place, they sent all the old male there.
And I found out that the courts were trying to
reach me. So I went to the next appointment. They said,
mister Frazer, we've been looking for you. I'm like what
they said, We've been trying to find you the last

(22:35):
six months.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
What Wow, shed that you would just not show up
and then she would be granted the divorce because you
didn't go.

Speaker 16 (22:41):
To court, all right with this exactly?

Speaker 4 (22:45):
Thank you, thank you.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
All right, when we come back, we have yet and
let's talk about a couple that did work out, and
we'll tell you what inspired or who inspired them to
actually get married in the first place.

Speaker 4 (22:55):
It's way up at Angela yee.

Speaker 6 (22:57):
Sure she's about to blow the lid off this boy.
Angela's filling that yet, Come and get to see.

Speaker 2 (23:04):
Yes, it is way up. But Angela yee. I'm Angela Yee.
And Jasmine from the Jasmine Brand is here.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Happy Friday Eve, Angela.

Speaker 4 (23:11):
Yes, Happy Friday Eve.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
Now let's start this off talking about Anita Baker and Babyface.
So Babyface was supposed to be doing a show. Anita
Baker was the headliner, and it looks like he was
asked to not perform. He said, I am truly sorry
to my fans who have been waiting for us to
hit the stage this evening at the Prudential Center. I
was asked not to perform in order to give Miss

(23:33):
Baker her space and time to perform her show. When
it's entirety, my band and I are extremely sadd and
we didn't get to perform for y'all.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
Tonight.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
I know fans were disappointed.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
Yes, I love Babyface. He got them heads, baby.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
And he can write his tail off.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Now, we did get some inside information as to what happened.
Apparently there was something wrong with the screen. I guess
there's a big screen that was on the stage. Now
the door's open at six. Content goers weren't even allowed
into the seating area until almost eight pm. The show
was supposed to start at seven, and then at nine pm,
nobody had hit the stage yet and that's when they
said they were technical difficulties and they announced that Babyface

(24:09):
would not be performing. Oh man, all right, So Babyface
is telling the truth, and I'm sure a part of
it is he wanted to his fans and know that
he wanted to perform right. He was there, he was ready,
but it was matters beyond his control.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
First of all, they went in there two hours late.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
Yeah, but I guess it was a technical thing. So
I know people are also coming at Anita Baker and
saying that she has a history of X, Y and Z,
but it seems like, you know, it wasn't just that.
And then I believe that they were asked, well, can
Babyface do part take part of your time, and she
wanted to do her show and its entirety, so then
she ended up not doing that.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
So the question is do fans get some of their
money back.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
That's a good question because if you were told this
is who's going to be performing and they don't, then
I would want to get my money.

Speaker 5 (24:55):
Back, and I get half off my ticket because I
got half the show I thought I was going.

Speaker 4 (24:59):
But it depends on what it says on the ticket.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
If it says you know, it's non refundable, right, I'm
sure it's non refundable.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
All right.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
So that's some of the details of what happened, so
it doesn't feel like it was anybody's fault. Anita Baker
wanted to do her entire set Babyface. I guess due
to technical difficulties, the show couldn't start.

Speaker 4 (25:19):
Okay, all right.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Now, Sizza is now fronting the Mark Jacobs pre Fall
twenty twenty three campaign, So shout out to her. There's
a ads that feature her in a series of portraits.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
Okay, it looks really dope.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
She looks good.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
Yeah, and also shout out to Taylor Rooks. She's doing
the new Ovo campaign. So she is doing the women's
Spring twenty three collection. She posted a picture of herself
in a black Ovo tank top and then some tube
socks and all of that.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
Shout out to my girl Taylor Brooks.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
Giving me some eighties vibes with that photo too.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
That's I know, right, it's kind of like flash dance vibes.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
Casanova is asking for prayers prior to his sentencing, right,
so he posted June twenty seventh, I get sentenced me
in your prayers, so you know, he went on. He
went on Instagram and let people know this is going
to be happening. So we shall see.

Speaker 5 (26:08):
He has a merch too. Oh, he does free Casanova
merch from hoodies to tease for sixty dollars, all right,
free Casanova.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Jeneo Monet. She was trending yesterday and that is after
a picture of her. Remember those old pictures where the
woman has on the Jamaica shirt she's getting out of
the what is very sexy. Well, she did something similar
to that and it says pleasure across her shirt and
then it's a little sea though. You can kind of
see the nipple. Free, Free the nipple, Yes, you can,

(26:37):
free the nipple. That's why she is trending. And when
she was asked at the met gala how she keeps
her body the way that is because she does look amazing. Okay,
all right, she did say it's Jamaican food and sex.

Speaker 5 (26:49):
Well, I do eat a lot of Jamaican food. What
about the second part, I not not having a lot
of sex.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
So Jamaican food and sex, it is all right, okay,
everybody get on it, all right, all right, So shout
out to Jennelle Monee for looking absolutely amazing. She looks
and then Coco and Iced Tea Ic recently did an
interview where he said that the reason why he decided
that he was inspired to get married was and this

(27:14):
was on Damon John's podcast, by the way, the moment
with Damon John, he said he was watching a lot
of the Osbourne's and he said, would Ozzie have mentioned
if it wasn't for Sharon Osbourne? And he said, this
woman is running all the tourist running all his businesses,
and that's what inspired him.

Speaker 5 (27:29):
So the fact that he had a team, he felt
like he would be better with a team. No, well,
well his wife, he had that's a team, two people.

Speaker 4 (27:37):
Oh, he had a whole team.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
No, I met him and his wife like our duel
like there women.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
Will do that a good woman, yeah, and a good man. Right,
we'll tell you.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
It's kind of like how you can compliment each other
with the responsibilities at the home. So I think the
purpose of marriage is to make life easier for both people.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
Yeah, that's attractive.

Speaker 4 (27:53):
All right.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
Well that is your yea tea. And when we come back,
we have under the radar. These are stories that are
flying under the radar. They're not necessarily had thy news stories,
but we feel like they're very important for you.

Speaker 4 (28:04):
It's way up at Angela.

Speaker 7 (28:05):
Yee the news news. This in the news that relates
to you. These stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 4 (28:14):
I'm Angela. Ye A Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here.

Speaker 3 (28:16):
Good morning, Angela.

Speaker 4 (28:17):
We have a good time at work.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
Yeah, just slide bar really quick.

Speaker 5 (28:21):
Angela will have plans and later on after work, I'm like,
are we going to Angela be looking at me like e.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
And I just showed her a meme.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
Yeah, show me a meme of somebody Like.

Speaker 4 (28:31):
Memes are funny. Some of your are geniuses with these memes.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
I just want to say, yeah, all right, So under
the radar stories. You may not have heard some of these.
Maybe you did, but some of them are under the radar.
This one, I feel like, is about to really be huge.
Didas is gonna start selling Yeasy again?

Speaker 3 (28:48):
Okay? Oh wow?

Speaker 2 (28:49):
This was posted by Yeezy Mafia. Part of the proceeds will
go to international organizations. Yeah, we'll be entitled to a
fifteen percent commission on all goods sold.

Speaker 5 (28:58):
Interesting, so will they be sold at a discount or
this is regular Yeasy prices?

Speaker 2 (29:05):
Listen, they had millions of Yeasy brand shoes with a
retail value of one point three billion dollars just sitting
in storage after the sale of them was put on hold.
With all the controversy that's been around that, their value
in the resale market has rocketed since Adida stopped producing them,
with some models more than doubling in price. So the
company decided not to donate the sneakers to avoid them

(29:28):
from reaching the market in a roundabout way, so even
if they donated them, they'll somehow get back into the
secondary market and somebody's gone a profit from that. So
they said it's a smart and or responsible move. That's
what Ed Stoner, who was a sportswear industry consultant who
previously worked at Adida set it not only preserves the
brand's integrity, but avoids a sustainability crisis.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
And Kanye gets a commission.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
Yeah, all right, all right, and that's they're previously agreed commission.
So once they sell those, yes, then he is entitled
to that. So don't know if there's any way to
get out of it. But this is a like I
said earlier. According to Yezi Mafia, Okay, cool, all right, Now,
Hulu and Disney Plus content will be combined in one app,
although the services will continue to stay separate, and that's

(30:12):
going to be rolling out by the end of the
calendar year. For now, this option will only be available
to consumers who have subscribed to both services, they said,
while we continue to offer Disney Plus Hulu and ESPN
Plus the standalone options. This is a logical progression of
our DTC offerings that will provide greater opportunities for advertisers

(30:33):
while giving bundle subscribers access to more robust and streamline content,
resulting in greater audience engagement and ultimately leading to a
more unified streaming experience. Okay, everybody got to figure out
how to make money off these streaming services because there's
a lot of app have l Disney, plus, I have
Someone's Hulu.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
Oh yeah, okay, yeah you do? Then got it?

Speaker 4 (30:54):
I think Disney.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
I got free for a year with my television purchase. Brother,
don't be afraid, all right, shout out to your brother.
We have a lot of his accounts. Thank you Jason Television.
Thank you Jays.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
Now let's talk about getting zombie.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Oh well, we're gonna talk about that when we come back.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
But let's talk about getting zombie. Right.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
If you don't know what that is, we're gonna share
that with you in a little while. It's the new
dating trend. You know, people talk about getting ghosted. Yeah,
I know what ghost where someone just disappears. Yes, well
you can guess what getting zombie is. And we're gonna
discuss that later to see if any of you have
gotten zombie.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
But we do have the Way Up Mixed coming at
the top of the hour.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Plus we have Mastery of Comedy Today comedians Dean Edwards
and Brett Raybold will be joining us. They have a
play off Broadway play that we're actually gonna go see.
Race the movie to play it is way up at
Angela Yee. Get ready to party with us. Jasmine loves
to dance in her seats. I do, so I know
you're gonna be getting it in. And Happy Thursday, your
favorite day of the week, gets way up at the

Speaker 5 (31:55):
Just like the like they Angela Jean, like they Angelie jee.

Speaker 7 (31:59):
Man, she's spilling it all.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
This is yet well, yes, it's a way up at
Angela yea. I'm Angela ye And Jasmine from the Jasmine
brand is here.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
Happy Friday Eve Angela.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
And I saw this morning Robert de Niro and his
partner Tiffany Chen a picture of their baby that they
just had is you can see a video of that
on CBS Mornings.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
Okay, haw's the baby.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
Look if you're cute, you want to see here there's
a baby. Oh your baby, Virginia Chen de Niro.

Speaker 3 (32:28):
Oh, of course your baby.

Speaker 4 (32:30):
Yeah. The baby's like a month old.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
And so he told Gil King that they are over
the moon and that they definitely plan to have her.

Speaker 3 (32:38):
Okay, congratulations, Papa.

Speaker 4 (32:40):
Yeah, so that was planned.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
What do we say he's seventy nine years old, yen
is I think forty six?

Speaker 3 (32:48):
Okay, So we both have some older older mama and
older daddy.

Speaker 4 (32:51):
That's right, So congratulations to them again.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Now, speaking of news, GMA three have named their new
co anchors since Amy Roeback and TJ.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
Holmes have moved on.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
They posted on their page, good Morning America. All it
takes is one move from God.

Speaker 4 (33:09):
Just one.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
It's official network news anchor and that's DeMarco Morgan, Eva
Pilgrim and also medical correspondent doctor Jennifer Ashton, who formerly
co hosted with rowback fifty and Holmes who's forty five
years old. She will remain or GMA three cool, all right,
so congratulations to them.

Speaker 4 (33:29):
It is official.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
I love seeing another black man on TV always yep.
All right.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
Now, a lawyer for a Tiger Woods ex girlfriend, Erica Herman,
is alleging that she has more details about sexual harassment
claims against Tiger Woods, but she says the NDA is
what's keeping her silent. So the judge is now trying
to decide whether or not to avoid that NDA. The
Tiger Woods has the Tiger Woods ex Erica has purportedly signed.

(33:54):
She's saying that he's sexually harassed her in their relationship
and that could invalidate the agreement, and Tiger Wood is
saying that their dispute needs to go into private arbitration.

Speaker 5 (34:03):
I bet I wouldn't want my stuff out there either,
but the messy part of me would like to know
what happens.

Speaker 3 (34:09):
So let's get rid of this NDA. Folks.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
Yeah, and could you? Would you data NDA? Too? Would
you sign an NDA to date someone?

Speaker 3 (34:17):
If I really cared about them, I would?

Speaker 4 (34:20):
All right?

Speaker 3 (34:20):
What about you?

Speaker 4 (34:21):
Would I sign an NDA?

Speaker 3 (34:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (34:23):
I don't know that feels so. Nobody's ever asked me
to do this. I've never been in that position me neither.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
I've never really dated anybody.

Speaker 4 (34:29):
Have you ever made somebody sign an NDA?

Speaker 2 (34:31):
Because they say that when you get in a certain position,
you should make sure that people around you aren't running
their mouths.

Speaker 4 (34:37):
Enter private business, you should have one.

Speaker 7 (34:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
People tell me that all the time, that when I
hire people, that should make them sign.

Speaker 8 (34:43):
No.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
I don't think I would date somebody. I'm not at
that level where I need to have somebody sign an NDA.
But Tiger Woods, listen, I could see why Angela.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
You got some T so you did. Let's not come on.

Speaker 4 (34:51):
Now we got some tvaby, you're going to be around
a lot. You're going to see a lot, all right,
little me.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
She was arrested at a fort lit to Hollywood Airport
after an unloaded firearm was found in his luggage and
he could not provide a license for that firearm. I
don't know if he has one and just couldn't provide
it at that time. But there's a video actually of
his arrest looks like there's firearms in it.

Speaker 12 (35:15):
So I'm a minus or as security guards they left
that in my bag, sir, going until that.

Speaker 11 (35:20):
I have to put you in a handcuffs until we
figured this out.

Speaker 12 (35:23):

Speaker 11 (35:25):
Have to all right, Just turn around for me, be cooperative.
I'm not saying you're bad, that have I mistreated you
or anybody at all, but you understand the severity of
what was the current right.

I'll fly every week.

Speaker 7 (35:37):

I'm an activist who became me and fifty.

Speaker 8 (35:40):
Have a TV show.

Speaker 7 (35:41):
Oh, sir, this was war of my life.

Speaker 8 (35:42):
You have continue weapons for no.

Speaker 4 (35:44):

Speaker 3 (35:49):
Listen, He's like, I call my mom. I'm like, oh,
he is scared. I would talk call my mom.

Speaker 4 (35:53):
I'm not trying to be embarrassed.

Speaker 3 (35:55):
I'm a good kid.

Speaker 4 (35:56):
But usually things like this aren't that big of a deal.
People forget, you know.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
Scary though, like you know, it' never happened to you before.

Speaker 4 (36:03):
He was supposed to just be like night, you got it.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
No, that's not what happened. And then they released the footage.
It was a little comical.

Speaker 4 (36:10):
I'm not gonna lie, he said, I'm a good kid
private school.

Speaker 3 (36:13):
We were both looking at each other like what would
you do that? Exactly what you.

Speaker 4 (36:19):
Did private school. I just got an alumni award.

Speaker 3 (36:21):
I'd be like, I'm on this this radio show with Angeloie.
They might be a fan of your show.

Speaker 4 (36:28):
They call me.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
I'm gonna be like take her and all right, Jayzy
and Yo Gotti. The trailer is out now for their
Exposing Partsmen prison documentary. They're talking about the injustices of
the correct Mississippi Correctional System.

Speaker 4 (36:40):
It's a new documentary for an E and here's that trailer.

Speaker 7 (36:42):
People losing their lives and being covered up.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
The last time I talked to my Summer, she said, well,
I'm not gonna be able to make it.

Speaker 7 (36:50):
People are living in a place that was built for
them to suffer.

Speaker 3 (36:53):
A former plantation, a history of slavery.

Speaker 4 (36:59):
I saw, did it wrong?

Speaker 3 (37:01):
But he's a human.

Speaker 7 (37:02):
If this was an animal shelter, people would be going
to jail.

Speaker 4 (37:07):
Every action that we take is all to get justice
for these families. Well, hopefully this is going to help
that situation.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
They've been under intense scrutiny in this penitentiary for failing
to provide adequate living situations for inmates. Prisoners have lost
their lives due to homicide, hanging in untreated illness.

Speaker 4 (37:25):
Okay, again, they are humans.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
And when is this premiere? June seventeenth.

Speaker 4 (37:30):
June seventeenth at eight pm on Annie.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
All right, well that is your yee t And when
we come back, let's talk about this thing we discussed earlier.
I see it's been really big on TikTok zombieing. Have
you ever been zombied? Orre you ever zombied?

Speaker 4 (37:42):
Somebody? It's way up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 7 (37:46):
Here's you back at it? The way up with Angela
ye is on.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
Yes, it's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee.
And Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
Yes, I'm present.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
I'm not just any brand. I'm my own brand, that's right.
And we were talking about zombieing. Now this is not
anything new, but on TikTok right now, it's gotten really popular.

Speaker 4 (38:06):
Now why is it so popular right now? Because cuffing
season is about to end?

Speaker 3 (38:10):
Oh? Yes, it's the weather's breaking.

Speaker 2 (38:12):
Yes, so that means a lot of people just stay
together when it's cold out. They need a warm body
next to them. They don't want to be outside like that.
But you know when the weather breaks, it's eighty degrees
in New York today, it's beautiful. Yeah, it's time to
be back outside. And that's when people get zombie. Well,
this is how zombieing happens, right, It's like ghosting, except

(38:32):
that the zombie comes back. So basically, somebody just disappears
up to dating you and then they pop back up
later like a zombie.

Speaker 3 (38:40):
But would they be why would they pop up now?

Speaker 2 (38:43):
Well, they might have popped up because of the weather
change during the winter, go to getting it. Maybe they
pop But yes, there's a lot of different reasons. Sometimes
there's no explanation at all. Have you ever zombied somebody
pop back up?

Speaker 3 (38:56):
No, but I've ghosted. I don't know if I've pop
back up. Maybe let's say I did. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (39:01):
You know how we always say when somebody breaks up
and a guy that like does that, they're like hoodie back.

Speaker 4 (39:07):
They always come back. That's like a zombie.

Speaker 3 (39:08):
Okay, well, yeah that's happened to me.

Speaker 4 (39:12):
That's the guys you like. I don't even know what happened.

Speaker 3 (39:14):
Yeah, I think I've done that to someone.

Speaker 4 (39:15):
Now I did a deep dive.

Speaker 2 (39:18):
And psychiatrists are talking about what should happen if you've
encountered a zombie. Okay, should do what happens next? So
if you're open to letting them back in, perceive a caution.

Speaker 4 (39:30):
That is what they say.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
Really think about whether you want to be in a
relationship that's going to be more one sided where you'll
be left wondering what happened each time, because it can
really play tricks on your feelings of self worth. Yeah
all right, And they said it could be a toxic
dating experience. So if somebody is a repeat offender, then
they said, nail that coffee shut for good. But yeah,
it's something that maybe just happened one time and you
need an explanation.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
Yeah, I think that's good. Sound advice too.

Speaker 16 (39:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (39:54):
Have you ever let a zombie back in? Uh?

Speaker 3 (39:57):
I don't know, have you, Angela?

Speaker 2 (40:00):
Somebody ever disappeared and yeah, you know, I think it
works if you didn't care that much. Yeah okay, yeah,
Like if it was like I obviously your boyfriend or
girlfriend cannot zombie you because you're like, what happened. But
if it's somebody that you kind of were casually dating
and then they disappeared and then they popped back up,
maybe you didn't really care and you're like, all right,
I want to go back outside.

Speaker 4 (40:19):
Too, right, Yeah, okay, yeah, so go ahead. So you've
never done that though, like, never disappeared and then came back.

Speaker 3 (40:26):
I think maybe I have.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
Usually the reason is somebody got back together with their
ex or met someone.

Speaker 5 (40:32):
Right.

Speaker 2 (40:33):
If somebody zombies you, as a matter of fact, that
did happen to me when now that I think about it.
One of my ex boyfriends, it was early on in
the relationship. I remember we met and started dating in November,
and then around Valentine's Day he disappeared, Okay, and then
turn turns out he got back together with his ex.
I found out because she let me know. Of course,
she didn't know or she went through his phone? Okay,
hell lord, and then they ended up breaking up and

(40:55):
then he came back.

Speaker 3 (40:57):
But Angela, have has that happened to me? Because I
don't know or have I done that?

Speaker 2 (41:02):
I think it's a pretty common thing, but I don't
think it's happened with uh, you know, anybody serious. I
feel like it's a normal thing that happens, Like people
disappear and come back, and if you let them back in,
that's on you. Yeah, you have to also know when
somebody's not worth it.

Speaker 3 (41:16):
Yeah, I'm right.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
You can't let somebody keep on doing that to you.
And then I agree with what they said, just be cautious.
If somebody zombies you and then comes.

Speaker 5 (41:23):
Back, we're going to have a conversation like, Yo, what
happened and why are you coming back now? M I
mean say it in a different way, but are you.

Speaker 4 (41:31):
Here for a long time or a good time?

Speaker 3 (41:33):
Yeah, that's what you need to let me know. Oh,
I would like to know, let me in on it.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
And then ghosting I think is the more popular thing though, yes,
and have you ever been ghosted?

Speaker 3 (41:44):
So it's ghosting is when they just disappear.

Speaker 4 (41:46):
Completely And I call that fading out fade to black angela.

Speaker 3 (41:51):
You like you like a fair will just disappear you
like a faith.

Speaker 2 (41:55):
That's people who are non confrontational, Like sometimes you're like,
I don't even want to discuss what happened.

Speaker 4 (41:59):
Let me just move on.

Speaker 5 (42:01):
I think it's probably happened to me, and I probably
know why. What you want to explain, well, probably because
they got back with their ex or.

Speaker 4 (42:07):
So okay and they mis disappeared. Yeah, all right, and
that's understandable.

Speaker 2 (42:11):
And I think it is nice when people can give
you an explanation if they're like, look, I know things
are cool.

Speaker 4 (42:16):
I really like you as a person, but I am
getting back together with my ex.

Speaker 3 (42:20):
Let somebody know. Just ghost me. Really, Yeah, I don't
think I want to know that.

Speaker 4 (42:24):
I'd rather somebody tell me so I can just be like,
all right, cool, good luck to you guys. I respect that.

Speaker 3 (42:29):
Yeah. No, I'm not that mature.

Speaker 4 (42:30):
All right. Well, when we come back, we do have
it is Mastery a comedy.

Speaker 2 (42:35):
It is a Thursday. So we do have two comedians
who are going to be joining us today. Jean Edwards,
who is a good friend of mine and he actually
used to be on SNL yes, quite a while ago.
But he also writes, and he is in this place.
Our Broadway play is called Race, the Movie the Play.
And then Brett Rayball who actually wrote this during the pandemic,

(42:57):
and he's a white.

Speaker 4 (42:57):
Guy just for clarity, and Deena's black, huh.

Speaker 2 (43:01):
So as you can imagine something like this play, will
I think it's like a spoof off of stuff like
The Green Book if you saw that, maybe spoof off
some of the race movies or yes, swave movie like
Twelve Years a Slave and all of that. So white
guy did write this, all right, So let's put that
out there right now.

Speaker 14 (43:19):
But we are.

Speaker 2 (43:20):
I do want to go see it because I heard
it's really really funny, but it also makes you think.
And that's what I like comedy that's funny but also
makes you think. Again, it's a Thursday, Jasmine's favorite day
of the week. It is mastery a comedy, and we
do have that coming up. It's way up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 10 (43:33):
I I'm.

Speaker 7 (43:36):
You ride a way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 4 (43:40):
Yes, it's way up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (43:42):
I'm Angela Yee And Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here.

Speaker 4 (43:45):
Yes, I'm looking at this Lapita Andnongo.

Speaker 2 (43:48):
She posted a picture of herself yesterday and she shaved
all her hair off, and she posted it and she
said happy without here.

Speaker 4 (43:55):
I like it.

Speaker 3 (43:56):
I do too. You have to be confident for this.

Speaker 2 (43:58):
You actually also have to have a nice shaped head.
I'm so nervous. I actually I'm not gonna lie. I
was thinking about this yesterday. I was like, I wonder
if I could shave on my hair off because I
feel like people who have the right face and the
right shaped head look really nice.

Speaker 3 (44:14):
But here's the thing.

Speaker 5 (44:14):
I feel like women say that a lot, like, oh,
if I want to cut my hair, I have to
make sure my head shape is okay. But guys have
all these crazy head shapes and they still are okay
with it, and they're confident in their short hair.

Speaker 4 (44:24):
Well, some of them don't have a choice. They don't,
you know, fairness, some of them the hairline.

Speaker 5 (44:30):
You know what I like about short hair with women,
I feel like it brings more attention to your face
and it really shows how beautiful your features are.

Speaker 3 (44:37):
Like, I feel like we cover our face up with
our hair. Myself included.

Speaker 4 (44:40):
Yeah, I was like, that's why I have mine.

Speaker 2 (44:42):
Yeah, yeah, but remember when Tiffany Hatt has shaved her head,
and then I feel like Amber Rose. I know people
were doing it before that, but it definitely increased and
she looks really nice.

Speaker 3 (44:54):
Amber Rose with the short hair.

Speaker 2 (44:55):
I actually like her better with that short hair than
when she has longer hair, like she's put on wigs.

Speaker 5 (44:59):
I think she looks I like, I like Amber Rolls
short hair, and I remember, I mean she didn't cut
it this short. But remember Holly Berry back the day
always wears and.

Speaker 2 (45:08):
Then guys to be the guy like along hair, but
then they see Halle Berry or Amber Rose and they're.

Speaker 3 (45:11):
Like, actually right, maybe I don't. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (45:13):
So I'm looking at like all these different pictures of
people because I feel like I have like bumps on
my head.

Speaker 5 (45:19):
See I have the biggest forehead in America, So I
do I seem bigger? Okay, well it's I mean the
top three top three big forehead.

Speaker 4 (45:27):
It's big.

Speaker 3 (45:27):
Yeah, it's big. So you think about me with short hair,
it is big. My forehad's big.

Speaker 5 (45:31):
So this wouldn't be flattering on me all right, because
you wouldeel like, oh, why is her hairline all the
way back?

Speaker 4 (45:36):
I feel like there's like some bumps and ridges.

Speaker 5 (45:38):
Angela is literally touching her scalp right now, trying to
see if if she has bumps on her head.

Speaker 4 (45:43):
Let you short hair, that is.

Speaker 2 (45:45):
We actually have some fun things about to happen while
I'm feeling my head all right.

Speaker 4 (45:49):
Dean Edwards is here and Brett Rayball.

Speaker 2 (45:51):
They're both comedians and they have an off Broadway play
called Race the Movie the play. But they're really funny
and we're gonna reveal some things. I bet they don't
even know about it each other.

Speaker 3 (46:00):
Who.

Speaker 4 (46:00):
It's way up with Angela, yee.

Speaker 7 (46:03):
This is mastery of comedy. Way up with Angela.

Speaker 2 (46:08):
It's way up with Angela. Ye, I'm Angela yee. And
Jasmine from the Jasmine Brand is here. Yes, we are
here today. By the way, Dean is a very good
friend of mine.

Speaker 12 (46:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (46:17):
But you guys introduce yourselves.

Speaker 12 (46:19):
Yeah, what's up? This is your man, Dean Edwards. Yeah, Hi,
this is Edwards.

Speaker 18 (46:26):
Dean Edwards, comedian, actor, writer, now producer and co star
in the in the play Race the movie, the play
playing at the Soho Playhouse. And I'm sitting here with
a co writer and also creative this brilliant project and
also co star Brett Rabel talked to YO, what up everybody?

Speaker 7 (46:47):
All right?

Speaker 11 (46:50):
Trying to try to deepen it for radio y'all.

Speaker 7 (46:52):
What up, y'all?

Speaker 11 (46:55):
My name is Bred I co wrote and co star
and Race the Movie Player with Dean comedian in New York.

Speaker 4 (47:00):
And I'm just so happy to be here now, Race
the Movie to play. I want to go see that.
I saw that you guys just started. Maybe how long ago?

Speaker 13 (47:06):
Was it?

Speaker 14 (47:07):
Like?

Speaker 4 (47:07):

Speaker 12 (47:07):
We started last week?

Speaker 18 (47:08):
We started our We're at Soil playoffs all month is
off Broadway. We ran last year during the New York
Theater Festival, okay, so to test the waters, and we
wound up selling out all our shows and we wound
up winning Best Actor.

Speaker 12 (47:24):
Brett won Best Actor.

Speaker 18 (47:27):
I got nominated for Best Actor, but but I'm happy
that if I didn't win, he won.

Speaker 12 (47:32):
And we also won what Best Original, Best.

Speaker 17 (47:35):
Script, Best Script, and we were disqualified for Best Show
because we ran long because we were getting so much
laughter and applause, so they said you can't win Best
Show and we're like, that's all right, I will take
the applause.

Speaker 3 (47:48):
We need to go What are the days? How how
long is it going?

Speaker 12 (47:51):
We're running until the end of May. May.

Speaker 18 (47:55):
Yeah, we we have Wednesday through through Saturday, so seventeenth
through twentieth, and then May twenty four through twenty seventh,
we have we have ten more shows. Last week we
sold out a couple and and people, you know what's
beautiful about this show y is the fact that we're
you know, we're tackling some serious subjects with race inequity,

(48:16):
but we're doing it in such a funny way that
people it's the spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.
I don't think people realize until they walk out of
the yo. This was funny, but it was it was
so smart.

Speaker 2 (48:27):
Well, Brett tell us about Race the movie, the play
and what it is, because I was trying to understand
from reading it. And it's kind of a spoof on
all of these different movies, yes that deal with like
the Driver e exactly.

Speaker 8 (48:39):
It is.

Speaker 11 (48:40):
Absolutely it is like a spoof of all of those
cheesy race movies, The Green Book, The Green Book in Viguers,
the Hell Django, Twelve Years of Slave, all of those movies.
It just parodies all of them. So picture kind of
like scary movie, but for like those like White savior films, right,
I play one of the characters whose name is Wyatt Behavior,

(49:01):
and I am tasked Yeah, yeah, yeah, and I'm tasked
with driving around this brilliant black musician named Jeane Yes genius.

Speaker 18 (49:10):
I'm essentially he's playing Vigo morten Since character, and I'm
herschel Ali's character. But we we goof on everything. I mean,
this this some of everything, you know, from help to
driving his Daisy yaw.

Speaker 4 (49:22):
The white person is always the savior.

Speaker 12 (49:24):
That's exactly what it is.

Speaker 11 (49:25):
But that's Hollywood movies, like, well, the white guy's gotta
save the day.

Speaker 12 (49:29):
I know that needs to happen.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
So this sounds like it's like smart but funny and
entertaining and conscious.

Speaker 11 (49:35):
Kind of Yeah, I think it's conscious without being forward.

Speaker 4 (49:41):
What made you think of this?

Speaker 11 (49:42):
Well, I co wrote it with one of my best
friends in comedy. His name is Christian durand he's also
the director of the show. And honestly, it stemmed from
a joke Christian I had together not Jasmine brand approve.

Speaker 18 (50:00):
Here, I'll say that the original name of the idea,
the original name of the script, was called not Another
Slave Movie, right, because that's what it was.

Speaker 12 (50:09):
It was like, there was we've constantly even even when
Will Smith, you know, came out with.

Speaker 18 (50:14):
That movie where he was like, Yo, this movie, you
know it's not it's not about it's not about slavery,
it's about emancipation.

Speaker 12 (50:23):
You like, it's imagine patient.

Speaker 2 (50:24):
And slaves, you knowation without sleep, right right, right, So
you know, because because you know a lot of black folks,
we like, we're.

Speaker 12 (50:34):
Right, and so we we were too.

Speaker 18 (50:36):
So they they did a great job saying, you know,
how can we goof on these and also goof on
the fact that even in these movies that are based
on slaves, you find a way to make Brad Pitt
the savior exactly, you know, And so they they really
they flip it on its head and really turn the
mirror back at the audience that doesn't recognize the fact
that I was nominated originally for the New York Theater Festival,

(51:00):
was nominated for Best Supporting Actor, And we were like,
y'all missed the point.

Speaker 11 (51:04):
Yeah, yeah, may Unfortunately life was imitating in that regard,
and it was like, it's so weird because Dean's character
is the main character of the show. That's the entire
point is this supporting actor, more lines.

Speaker 3 (51:20):
More scenes, the reflection of what you know, what it
kind of is.

Speaker 2 (51:24):
We are talking to comedians Dean Edwards and Brett Raybold
and Dean, let's dig into your history a little because
we know each other first long time.

Speaker 4 (51:31):
He can tell me his daughters are in college.

Speaker 18 (51:33):
Yeah I remember, yeah, yeah, yeah man, And yeah, you
and I go back decades now at this point, right,
but we still look good, you know, people like people
are like, how old, y'all don't worry about that. We
look good doing what we do. And I mean he
was around when I first got SNL wait way back

(51:55):
in the day. And and uh on the previous show
you were on, y'all showed me a lot of love
on there whenever I was doing road gigs.

Speaker 12 (52:01):
So I appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (52:02):
Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (52:03):
And for you guys right now, there's also a writer
strike going on and you're both writers.

Speaker 4 (52:08):
So where does that leave things for you? And what
are your thoughts?

Speaker 14 (52:11):
Well?

Speaker 18 (52:11):
The challenge is actually another good friend of ours, Mark Theobald,
is my writing partner. I worked on season two of
Tiffany had Its Presents They ready I saw, Oh thanks, thanks,
I'm glad. I'm glad y'all. Y'all could check it out
streaming on Netflix right now. And so we're working on
Mark and I are working on something which she ready
with Tiffany's company, but it's on hold right now because

(52:34):
of the writer's strike.

Speaker 12 (52:35):
So producers come correct.

Speaker 18 (52:38):
In the last was it last decade, the amount of
money they made in the billions, it's almost four times
the amount of money that the streamers have earned. It
was five billion and now was nearly twenty billions. And
the writers, including inflation, have lost twenty percent.

Speaker 2 (52:55):
Right, and they're not getting residuals either on streaming services
like they would. Let me ask you, guys, this Brot
Martin was here the other day. I remember what he said.
He said, Now you can see what all of these
late night show hosts. He said they shouldn't need writers
and they should be able to continue with that.

Speaker 4 (53:09):
What are your thoughts on that?

Speaker 18 (53:11):
There's truth to that, being that I was cast members
with a few of them, with with Jimmy Fallon and
Seth Myers, who are funny cats. But it also reinforces
that writers aren't necessary.

Speaker 2 (53:24):
Yeah, but would that be wrong for people who could
continue the show without their writers to just go on
ahead and be on the air.

Speaker 4 (53:31):
Do you think they need to stand in solidarity.

Speaker 12 (53:33):
I think stand in solidarity because you are part of
a union.

Speaker 11 (53:36):
I disagree. I'll take any job that comes my way.
Your boys, you know this interview is done, jas How
could you go there?

Speaker 13 (53:51):
No?

Speaker 11 (53:51):
You know, I just want to stand with the capitol
at the top. You gotta speak for the one percent.
If you guys don't mind s trench privilege to stand French.

Speaker 12 (54:04):
Up and say now, I'm just kidding.

Speaker 11 (54:05):
I'm just kidding everybody. Oh god, yeah, that that clip
defines me. I know what my face you look like.
That's what he would believe. We need the job creators
to be you know, they're suffering if they don't have many,
many many millions, and they just have many, many millions
like that problem. That's a bummer, right, all right?

Speaker 2 (54:27):
Dean Edwards and Brett Raybold are here. They are comedians
Race the movie. The play is playing right now off Broadway.
When we come back, we have some more. It's way
up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 7 (54:36):
This is mastery of comedy.

Speaker 4 (54:41):
With what's up this.

Speaker 2 (54:42):
Way up with Angela Yee and Jasmine Brand is here
with me, and we also have a friend of mine,
comedian Dean Edwards alongside Brett Raybald. No, but we have
to ask you this, okay, and doing our research on you,
it appears that you were like something greggs.

Speaker 12 (54:57):
Oh snap, oh my god, Oh.

Speaker 11 (55:05):
It is exactly what it sounds like, yourself, explained myself. Yeah, no,
I mean fell on hard times and my brother and
I fell in crusty times. No, my brother and I
launched a startup called Rags where we quite literally sold
rags for you know, it was engineered by NASA scientists obviously,

(55:31):
so yeah, and not only am I the founder, I'm
also a proud users. But no, it was my brother
and I was just this comedy bit. We'd sell them
at merchant shows and we we actually sold a lot.
We sold out of frags and during the pandemic when
the one of my best friends actually he works in textiles,
so he was able to just like make it super
easy for us, okay, and you know he's he's Pakistani

(55:53):
and his like sweet Pakistani aunt who when he told
her about pudding in the order for drags, she wouldn't
say it, God bless her, she would go the naughty rags.
So no, but we Unfortunately we're on current hiatus, but
they will return as I know there's demand.

Speaker 12 (56:14):
I want you to bring the rags on to Shark take.

Speaker 18 (56:16):
I will to see I want to hear mister Wonderful
and Laurie and Damon John's take on happening.

Speaker 11 (56:23):
You want to Damon because I'm like, you've worked in
textiles at four it's your arena.

Speaker 4 (56:29):
Yeah, this is what Damon's John, Thank you.

Speaker 12 (56:38):
Great there.

Speaker 11 (56:39):
We want five percent of the company and you give.

Speaker 3 (56:41):
Us ten million dollars.

Speaker 4 (56:43):
Now, Brat, what was your first big break.

Speaker 11 (56:45):
When you were like, all right, this is I would say,
getting Dean to be involved in your show. I'm not
even just saying that. No, no, no, no, I mean
I'm being that's not even a joke. I would be
completely honest because let's say one thing, that's a fact.
If Dean wasn't in this production, I wouldn't be in
this room talking to you right.

Speaker 4 (57:00):
Now, okay, because I know, yeah, right.

Speaker 11 (57:05):
You know what I mean that. I mean that completely
serially for that, Yes, he was. I'll just say on air,
if you type in the promo code, I live here.
Tickets are twenty dollars for an off Broadway. Shew, that's
that doesn't happen, and that's because we want people to come.

Speaker 3 (57:21):
Fine, we can pay.

Speaker 4 (57:26):
That loud.

Speaker 11 (57:28):
Hey hey, everyone loves the promo code.

Speaker 18 (57:31):
Yeah, but also the tickets are not like his. His
promo code has given you essentially fifty percent off. Like
the tickets are forty dollars. So it's not an expensive show.
If you take your family to the movies on a weekend,
you're spending less money going to see our show.

Speaker 2 (57:46):
Well, you know, Mayo say he buys kids tickets instead
of buying the adult ticket to the movies.

Speaker 4 (57:51):
Oh wow, And he said, they don't check it.

Speaker 12 (57:52):
You know, you know, they don't take may I did
the same thing.

Speaker 11 (57:55):
When I buy a ticket, get the senior I buy
the senior price and if I've been called on it,
and he goes, you're not a senior and I was.
I said senior in college and he was still like,
so they caught you. And then I just to the guy,
I go, hey, man, here's two more dollars there. I
pad the price. You take the timp taking it? Does
I make this a big thing?

Speaker 4 (58:17):
Were you on a date or were you No?

Speaker 6 (58:19):
I'm doing.

Speaker 11 (58:23):
No, thank god, no, thank God, I wasn't on.

Speaker 12 (58:26):
A day and I went to the movie. So imagine
his girl sitting there like, I mean, I could have given.

Speaker 3 (58:33):
That's a good content.

Speaker 4 (58:35):
How old are you on the youngest, Yeah, I doesn't
have to worry about dating and forever.

Speaker 12 (58:42):
We we've been together long.

Speaker 7 (58:46):

Speaker 12 (58:46):
Yeah we been, but but you still gotta pay, you know.

Speaker 4 (58:50):
And and your wife was funny.

Speaker 12 (58:52):
If you know my wife, what what are you doing?

Speaker 18 (58:56):
Why are you stopping slick to be slick? My wife
is also British Jamaican. I want people like, why do
you give her an accent? Where this action comes from?

Speaker 14 (59:06):
The Ron?

Speaker 10 (59:07):
Right?

Speaker 4 (59:08):
What is the ultimate goal for Erase the movie to play?

Speaker 11 (59:11):
Absolutely? I mean, first off, we're gonna have a work
continuing this amazing we're off probably Ron.

Speaker 12 (59:16):
Then we're gonna get to a bigger stage.

Speaker 11 (59:19):
And the ultimate goal is to turn Race the movie
to play into Race the movie the play movie.

Speaker 4 (59:24):
And now, are you working on an hour special?

Speaker 15 (59:26):
Now?

Speaker 4 (59:26):
For I know you did Tiffany's Day ready, Yeah, we did.

Speaker 18 (59:29):
We did the joint with Tiffany and I'm always working
on my hour. But the goal with the project I'm
working on with Mark is to sell that show because
then the show that we are working on, which I
know is a banger, once we sell this show, then
going back to Netflix and saying all right, boom, now
let me do the hour special. I'm always I'm always

(59:50):
working at the comedy clubs. Like I said, I'm at
Yanker's Comedy Club this weekend. I'm always at the Comedy Seller,
Gotham Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club in the Tri
State area, and always on the road.

Speaker 4 (01:00:00):

we have asked ye. If you have any questions, you
can call us up right now. Eight hundred two ninety
two fifty one fifty is way up.

Speaker 6 (01:01:07):
I'll goa everybody since whether it's relationship with career advice,
Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 7 (01:01:12):
Should you should know? This is ask ye?

Speaker 2 (01:01:15):
Yes, it's way up. Put Angela yee. I'm Angela yee.
And Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is here. Yes, I
have like the giggles today. We've been having fun. You've
been giggling. I don't know, you're a weird old Angela.
I was looking at some Instagram filters. I put it
on Jazmine Space and she screamed.

Speaker 3 (01:01:30):
It was a scary filter. Yes, it kind of threw
me off.

Speaker 4 (01:01:33):
Should I post it?

Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:01:34):
You should, Okay, I'm gonna post.

Speaker 3 (01:01:35):
You should post yourself first, Okay, all right.

Speaker 4 (01:01:38):
So now it's time for ask ye.

Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
Eight hundred two ninet two fifty one fifty is the number,
and we have a voice man. Remember we told y'all
you can use that number to leave a voicemail eight
hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 4 (01:01:48):
We can answer your questions. From there.

Speaker 2 (01:01:50):
You can make it onto last word, you can shine
a light on somebody. You could weigh in on one
of the topics. So here is today's ask.

Speaker 10 (01:01:56):
Ye hie, it's lolyme.

Speaker 9 (01:02:00):
My question is do you guys feel like it's okay
for a man who is in a relationship and we
have a child together to tell his other baby mama.

Speaker 10 (01:02:11):
Happy Mother's Day and buy him her gifts.

Speaker 16 (01:02:13):
Also, let me know what you guys think.

Speaker 9 (01:02:15):
I think it's inappropriate, but everybody.

Speaker 16 (01:02:18):
Else might have a different of Fenians.

Speaker 4 (01:02:19):
Just like noo, Okay, what Mother's Day is coming up?

Speaker 15 (01:02:23):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
And Mother's Day is for mothers it is, and she
is the mother of his child and hopefully doing a
fantastic job at being a mom and being a co
parent even though he's with you, and so I can
understand if you feel a little.

Speaker 4 (01:02:39):
Insecure about their relationship.

Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
And usually on Mother's Day, the gift is from the
child to the mom too if they're not together anymore.
So I believe, as a matter of fact, I think
it is a great gesture for a person to buy
the mother of their child a gift. And if you're
you feel worried about it, maybe the gift comes from
the kid.

Speaker 5 (01:02:58):
Yeah, one hundred and agree with it. I have a child,
and if I was dealing with someone that had a child,
you know, I would think that they would at a
minimum tell the mom Happy Mother's Day and also get
a gift from the child or themselves.

Speaker 3 (01:03:10):
I think you should.

Speaker 5 (01:03:11):
Yeah, you can celebrate whoever is taking care of your
child or helping raise your child. I don't think it's
anything wrong with that.

Speaker 2 (01:03:16):
Yeah, if y'all not beefing with each other, But even
if you are, he should still buy her a present
and just make it from the child and stet it
from him.

Speaker 5 (01:03:23):
And I think that's attractive to deal with a man
that cares about the mother of his children and that
child in that way.

Speaker 2 (01:03:29):
Yeah, like, okay, so you're not with the father of
your child, and I'm sure it's gonna get you something
from Mother's Day.

Speaker 3 (01:03:33):
Yeah, I would hope. So if you're listening, please, what
do you want?

Speaker 2 (01:03:38):
Since he might be listening, I don't know, just put
it out there, you know, Just give me a property
or I'm just a property.

Speaker 3 (01:03:44):
You're just joking, No, but I don't need anything grand now.

Speaker 4 (01:03:46):
If he buys this other woman of property, then there's
some issues.

Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
Okay, and you ain't got yet. That's a lot.

Speaker 4 (01:03:51):
And I think it depends on what the present is too.

Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
But yeah, it should be something that Yes, I do
believe that it could be just fly child when somebody
get them something. Yeah, and don't stress him about it.
He's not going to spend the day with her. He's
not taking her out. It's just a little gesture thank
you for being a mother in cold parenting. That's your man, girl, Yeah,
that's your man. Yeah, and he'll think it's attractive if
you're supportive to help.

Speaker 4 (01:04:13):
Him pick it out.

Speaker 3 (01:04:14):
Men like secure women too.

Speaker 4 (01:04:15):
Help him pick out the president.

Speaker 3 (01:04:16):
Yeah, that's Angela. Make it an ugly color, Okay, all
right now.

Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
All right, well that was your ask. Ye eight hundred
two nine fifty one fifty is a number. And when
we come back, we have your last word. It's way
up with Angela yee.

Speaker 7 (01:04:27):
Pick up the phone tapping to get your voice heard.
What the word he is? The last word on way
up with Angela yee.

Speaker 2 (01:04:36):
Yes, it is way up with Angela yee. We made
it through Thursday.

Speaker 3 (01:04:41):
You know what that means. What does that mean, Angela?

Speaker 4 (01:04:43):
It means it is almost the weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:04:46):
Yeah, Okay, Tomorrow's Friday, and tomorrow we actually are heading
out to Atlanta for the Strength of a Woman festival. Yes,
so shout out to Ashana who puts that together and
marry jay Blye. That's her festival. It's also Mother's Day weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:04:59):
It's gonna be a nice weekend in Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (01:05:02):
I just was talking to jin Age and it works
at in Atlanta, and she was telling me that it's
really muggy though.

Speaker 4 (01:05:07):
Oh I was very humid in Atlanta right now.

Speaker 3 (01:05:09):
Okay, so we're your curls. Don't wear your hair straight,
not that you ever do.

Speaker 2 (01:05:12):
I know I haven't worn my hair straight. I was
just saying that I haven't worn my hair straight in
like I feel.

Speaker 5 (01:05:16):
Like in years it's gonna be muggy. Okay, I gotta
figure out what I'm gonna wear.

Speaker 4 (01:05:19):
I don't know what my hair even looks like.

Speaker 3 (01:05:21):
Straight river, done it a long, straight in it next
week and see how that looks.

Speaker 4 (01:05:26):
This is just so nice.

Speaker 3 (01:05:27):
Where are we gonna eat in Atlanta?

Speaker 4 (01:05:28):
That's your main thing?

Speaker 2 (01:05:29):
Yeah, because we actually get to Atlanta tomorrow, why don't
y'all hit us up and tell us where we should
go eat? You know, I always like to go to
Toastu and Lennox, but that's more like a breakfast runch
type of place.

Speaker 3 (01:05:39):
Where should we go for dinner?

Speaker 4 (01:05:40):
Where should we go for dinner in Atlanta tomorrow?

Speaker 3 (01:05:43):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (01:05:44):
I remember in my early days going to Atlanta. You
know what my spot was?

Speaker 2 (01:05:48):
What you know what I'm gonna say, Angela? What are
you gonna say, Ruth, Chris? Okay, they bring the chicken,
you know I'd be sizzling. It's mixed with the cheese
and the spinach or whatever inside amazing.

Speaker 4 (01:06:05):
Okay, but yeah, I'm trying to think we're going for dinner.

Speaker 5 (01:06:09):
Yeah, give us some hit us up and give us
some suggestions on where we should go for dinner on
in Atlanta.

Speaker 3 (01:06:14):
Hmm, yeah, I forgot the name of this place.

Speaker 2 (01:06:15):
I went there though, and they wouldn't let me in
because I had on a hoodie to eat during the day.
I was like, what, Yeah, I should have said, I
know Jazmine from the Jasmine Brand.

Speaker 3 (01:06:26):
I don't who that.

Speaker 4 (01:06:28):
Yeah, So shout out to everybody that's going to be
out there.

Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
Mary J.

Speaker 2 (01:06:31):
Blige is actually performing tomorrow night. Laurence Hill is performing.
But we are going to be having a really fun,
amazing piano and it's going to be all my relationships.
It's lip service.

Speaker 4 (01:06:42):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
If y'all haven't never heard the lip Service podcast, make
sure you guys listen to that too.

Speaker 4 (01:06:47):

earlier we were talking about divorce, a lot of different
people tried to get through. They had their own stories
they have to do with divorce, and not surprising because

(01:07:19):
damn near half of America will end up getting divorced.
All right, so you guys last word eight hundred two
nine fifty Hello.

Speaker 14 (01:07:27):
Hello from Detroit, Michigan. I would like to shine a
light on mister Anthony White. He is the director for
the Detroit Youth Choir. They were on America's Got Talent
twice and they are a big inspiration to the city
of Detroit. All right, thank you, Angela. We love you

(01:07:48):
here in the city of Detroit.

Speaker 13 (01:07:49):
Thank you for by Hey Angela. My name is Kendall
out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I was just calling us. I'm
a divorce saying I actually represented myself during my divorce.
I have no previous law experience, but I was able
to make it happen.

Speaker 9 (01:08:05):
So my name is Stannis and I got married in
two thousand and seven and he knew I was going
to be incarcerated. Well, I went to go do my time,
and he, of course had an affair. We got divorced
and so at the end of the day. Now, I
own businesses and everything like that. So where he thought
he had a winner because she was in school and

(01:08:27):
I went to jail, they didn't pan out. His life
didn't pan out that way. Every time he tried to
keep up with me and open up a business, it failed.
