Speaker 1 (00:00):
Today we are going to be doing a lot of
different things. Ray J has some things that he needs
to clear up. There were some rumors last week that
he's a capper, so he's gonna playing with my name.
He's gonna prove some things. He's got race seats, so
we're gonna see those also. Of course, the super Bowl
was last night. We watched it, Yes, Rihanna Bowl, and
(00:20):
we'll discuss that during about last night. But right now
it's time to shine a light. That's when you guys
get to call in. The phone number is eight nine
to fifty. I can't believe I know that number by
heart from day one, but it's eight hundred fifty. Get
that ingrained in your head. Shine a light on somebody
who's done something positive. Of course I'm gonna shine a light.
(00:40):
I know you already know who I'm about to shine
a light on, but I'm gonna do it again when
we come back, and then you guys will be shining
a light on somebody who's done something positive that you
want to spread a little love to the Brooklyn Way
way up with Angela. Ye, turn your lights on, y'all,
spreading love to those who are doing greatness sin light.
(01:03):
It's time to shine a light on the Yes, shine

he was so hospitable. I can't believe ray J' is
really like that in real life. So I do want
to shine a light on ray J for doing something
positive forcing me to celebrate. Thank you. And you know what,
(01:45):
I gotta work on my character and my my public
character with who just work, you know what I mean?

you're very down. You're very down up. That's because you're celebrities,
so they thought you might be a little Hollywood. That's
not your father, but let's shine a light on them.

let's shine a light on them. You deserve it. Thank you.
I'm loving it. Thank you. Yes, And when we come
(05:18):
back for yet, we'll be talking about Drake. He did
a Barstool Sports interview. Well this here, little son of
Dinnas will tell you what we said. You guys are
gonna love it. When we come back on Way Up
with the angela Ye, all right, it's time for yet.
I am joined by the Jazz main brand and Ray
j J call you miss brand. No, you just call
me jasmine. I'm not just a brand on my own brand.
(05:39):
We gotta show him my freestyle some point to They
go ahead, all right, Now let's talk about Drake and
his son of Donnas. They were on Borrowstool Sports. They
were part of the Sunday Conversation with Caleb Pressley series
and this was a cute, funny interview Raisie, I know
you said this made you want to do interviews with
your kids. I just put my kids in. So I'm
in the car Ryan with my kids. I'm like, I
want my kids to do interview too. They ready, they
are ready. They and Adonis was so cute. So here
(06:02):
they are talking about whether or not Adonis knows how
to read? Can you read? No? I can't? Why not?
Because do you think if you had a better dad
you'd be able to read? This is my better dad.
Do you think if he did a better job with
you at home that you'd be able to read? Yeah?
And that's a funny. Dad also does a lot of jokes.
(06:22):
All right, Well that was cute and he's so cute,
so what was he trying to He was saying that
that him and his dad joke around a lot. He
has a funny dad. His dad is the funny dad.
This is my better dad, his dad. And then he
talked about Drake was talking about feelings and what his
favorite feeling is. Do you feel like you have a
lot of feelings? I do. What's your favorite thing to feel?
(06:46):
Like a cold plunge? Like I like to get out
of a cold plunge and then just be like whatever
that feeling is? Cold? Fair? How about this, Let's do
a thing where I just name a feeling and you
tell me if you'd like to feel it. Okay, romantic? Yeah, jealous?
No singers, No, you said romantic? One and two? What
(07:12):
is a cold plunge? What is the feeling of a
cold plunge? I guess when you're going to ice cold water? Okay, okay,
in the water and support yourselfing to come out at
it like shrin kids, right. I mean the cold plunge
kind of threw me off to He looked at me
like I was like a cold plunge, Yeah, that's supposed
to be good for you, though, like just go in
your skin like box box. You've done that. They do
(07:32):
that like in the Russian bath houses and stuff like that.
I've never done it, and have you done it? I
have actually, um when I was in Mexico. They make
you do like the hot water. Then you get in
the super cold water. It's like a series of waters
you have to plunge into. I've seen. I've seen some
of the big homies do that. They got them at
their house. There's a lot, there's a lot of like
freezing and heating. Yeah, it's supposed to be good for you,
(07:54):
all right. Now, other things with Drake, you know, he
bet on the Chiefs, so that was good. He won
his Super Bowl bet, but he did losing some of
the details. But from what I'm reading, they're saying that
he went about one point two million dollars overall. So
in other words, he even though we made some smaller bets,
you d bet, did you bet on this game last night?
I didn't, But my friend better be big and you
(08:17):
hit and I'm mad I didn't bet that bed a
huntred dollars got him back eight thousands. Oh nice, I
like that. I gotta start doing this. I can. I
can stand to lose a hundred dollars. I never bet
what you can afford to lose. Right, Yeah, thus good,
I like that. And lastly, Drake also revealed the price
of his engagement ring necklace. You know how much that costs?
Ten million? Yes? Is that crazy? That's insane? All right,
(08:40):
well that is your yet And when we come back, um,
we are going to discuss the super Bowl about last night,
and we'll talk about Rihanna's performance, pregnancy, all of those
major things. On the way up with ANGELII, ANGELI is
way up on who it is? Point one? What's that
(09:22):

a place with all kinds of face. I let you

(12:25):
rolling with friends? She said, I'm caged, and I think
her conscience says she watching that docs to Jan, I'm
watching Eyes Began. But when that show and she allve
my skin low sh shas w coast like back forth,
hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, she posed,
like it's for posts enough, Like I'm supposed to take
this photo if you for me, she said, don't you
(12:46):

be losing and be hopeless. When I spoke this. She
rejoiced it said, your words give me open, so I
closed it when your clothes is I'm only love vings

she got her own. Hey gorgeous, I'm I'm mean floorless.
(13:10):

(13:34):
by my room is tell me, Mr flint Stone, I
can make your bad. I can make your bad. I
can make your bad. Miss your bad baby to stay
(13:55):
to you and want you mean. Mr flint Stone can
make your point one. I didn't expect that voice. I'm
(14:24):
gonna keep it. That was no. I'm saying, yeah, that
was her. I'm saying you didn't expect that's Sherley Ralph.
Yeah we know, yeah we did. So she was she
was my mom. Yeah when you knew that, I didn't
know that. You don't because she has a kind of
like an altar. Alto is also is that Alto voice? Yeah,
(14:46):
Alto that was tending, that was leaning towards Tenner. Yeah,
but she was strong though. She gave it to us.
She gave us that Broadway, you know what I mean,
killing it by the way, that Avid Elementary. Do you
watch that show? You've got to. I feel like it's
who Yeah, jokes you know are on the and the
(15:07):
kids can watch it. Yeah, I mean like I gotta
be gotta be all the way all the ways. Yeah,
that's what I mean. I gotta be gran kids. Would
I understand it? I don't watch the same King my
kids watch all right. Now, the big deal was Rihanna performing,
and during the halftime show, as soon as she came out,
(15:28):
the first thing we said in the room was what
is she pregnant? Yes? Is she pregnant? Because she did
appear to be pregnant. But then some people were like, well,
maybe she's just hasn't losted. I was watching all of
Twitter have this debate because you know, you can't ask
a woman if she's pregnant, or say a woman is
pregnant because she might not be. Yeah, I've seen that
happen before. Yeah, have you I've done that before. I
have to princess do that, and the girl wasn't pregnant.
(15:50):
I've done I've done it too, So you learned your
listening from that. You shut the heck up. Yeah, yeah,
I had my baby like five years ago. You're like said, okay,
s but she started off a bit better, had my money. Yeah,
she did, and did some of my favorite songs, by
the way, so of course I love we found love.
(16:10):
So it's good to see that. I mean, Rihanna got
so many hits. Thirteen minutes is in enough time, but
it's never enough time for any of the artists. How
did you What did you think of her performance? Um?
I mean I enjoyed it because but she also is pregnant,
so it's like it's kind of harness blitz. Yeah, you
can't judge it when she when someone was pregnant, she
was lit. She was lit, and she was wearing like
she had to like the zipper downs, so you can
(16:30):
kind of see the rest that for a second to
fix her makeup so you know, the fenty then everybody's like, well,
what makeup was that? Because I was in the show
that I was supposed to be in a great marketing.
What a boss, that's mating. I just love strategic marketing.
You just love what strategic marketing. It's been a long
(16:54):
night and day. That's why he's a mellow right now. Yes,
and then I sew people saying her dances were incredible,
but they were saying, that's a sad rocky sperm. Did
you see that? That's funny? She didn't have She didn't.
I don't know nobody. I thought, jay Z and everybody
was gonna come out, we are Yeah, I said it.
She did about herself, the baby, the baby, what more
do you need? And the commercial, did y'all see the
(17:16):
two be commercial? I thought something happened to the TV.
Everyone thought, yeah, that was good, that was clever. That
was another raj strg. Alright, well that is about last
night as we were all watching the super Bowl. Now
let's talk about today as y'all tell us a secret,
call us eight fifty. Don't say your name, there's no
judgment here. You can tell us any secret you want. Yeah,
(17:41):
I'm going going way up with Angela. Ye, that's like
a secret that you'll take to the grave, to the
great Yeah, that you would never want to tell, probably
not like one person probably know what I'm saying, Like,
my mama know a lot pretty much. My mama know
a lot of stuff. Did your mom judge you? Oh,
she would tell me I'm tripping. Okay, that's because you
(18:02):
need that though I don't care what's happening. I hit
moms like, looks I need to talk to you. Asked,
are there any secrets you would take to the grave
that you'll never tell anybody? I don't think. I think
I thought I had one and then somebody knows about it.
So okay, I don't think I have anything that I'm sure.
I'm trying to think of what it could be. And
(18:23):
it's so secretive. It's gotta be so professional. You think
I am just not with me friends, But yeah, I
don't tell all my business. You don't. You're low because
when my book comes at it's gonna be amazing. I
cannot ye. Let me ask you this ray day. Have
you ever slept with somebody and denied it and said
now that never happened. WHOA where that question comes from?
(18:43):
Because that's a secret that a lot of people have,
Like you'll deny you like I'll never tell anybody that happened. Nah,
I mean for me, you know, I like being with Princess.
I'm thinking in the past, you know, because women deny
stuff all the time, I'm gonna do men never do
that for me. Uh. I like being with Press just
(19:05):
in time for Valentine's Like I love You're a little
boring for for pre Valentine's. See, And that's the problem,
Like I try to be a good like you know,
I'm trying to be settled, and then it's like if
I don't, and then I'll go to other route and
then you don't have to go. She's asking about something
from your path. No, I'm just I'm just No, I'm
just when i'm lit, I'm lit, and then when I'm
when I'm chilling, I'm You want to if you want
(19:29):
to get all your stuff flushed out. I got a
new x flax deal. It's a spin office called Relax.
How do you manage to plug something in every SEGM?
No matter what's going on? Right? All right? So we
are doing tell us a secret. That's where you guys
get to call in eight and tell us a secret
that we are not going to judge you for. It
(19:50):
doesn't matter what it is. We're gonna try not to
it could be anything. We're not gonna judge you. Remember
that's the whole point of this, all right, Okay, we're sharing.
Don't judge me, judge your mama. Alright, alright, car you
have a secret for us. So I mean, going story short, Basically,
I worked for TV bank and December we had like
(20:10):
a Christmas party and my boss introduced me to his
seance and I felt like she was giving me all
types of vibes and at first I thought it was
in my mind. Then you know, everybody started drinking and
she grabbed my ass as she walked by. You, I
(20:31):
did with any right, So I did what any responsible
man did, found her Instagram and adm there. Okay, then
what happened? Well, so it's been about three weeks now
and I've been finaishing at least once a week so far.
That I am because the main part of it that
(20:55):
makes it happy because he don't pay me what I'm worth.
So I figured this is like you know, you we
go okay, So if you were paid but you were worth,
you wouldn't have done this. He still would have. No, No, no,
I still would have I'm just saying this is my
just a vacation for what I mean? No, no, no, okay,
go ahead, ray J, I was judging. Thank you for sharing.
(21:16):
He doesn't make it better than he was white. Jasmin
says yes, ray J says no, okay, all right, well
he definitely shared a secret. All right, it's time to
tell us a secret caller, what is your secret? I
almost flat with my active father like three or two
(21:37):
years ago. Wow, And so tell us the scenario. Um,
his father was kind of wort with me and I was,
you know, drunk one nine and we all end up
at the house one night and it's a pictures some pictures. Yeah, okay?
(21:58):
And then why didn't it happen because I got scared?
Do you regret? Do you regret not going through with it?
I regret entertaining it at all? So you're back into
him now? No, because he doesn't know about it, my access,
my I don't know about it, and I don't plan
(22:19):
on telling him, And I don't know if it's I'm
telling him because his mom knows, but I don't know.
No judgment, And how does that mom know that? I
don't know how she found out because she found out
she found the text us to dig through that we
had Wow, So he's gonna find out at some point.
But that's your X anyway, so it doesn't really matter.
It doesn't count if somebody released No, I don't think so,
(22:41):
it's just pictures. Yeah, okay, thanks, all right, We thank
you for sharing with us. You're welcome by bye. All right.
She was really telling the secret. The way she was whispering.
You could tell it because it was like her X
is in the other room. You know when I'm yeah
(23:03):
that I talked really low enough when it's a secret.
If anyone's involved in this, he said, I didn't know
what she was doing. Just that's your secret. Boy, are
you buy yourself? All right? We when we come back,
we do have eet. We're gonna talk about Ruby Rose,
d d G and Hallie Belly. This is a very
messy story. Relax, relax everybody. When we come back on
(23:28):
up with antig going where with Angela. Ye, they says
truth in the room from industry shade to all the gossips.
Angela's spilling that Et Reddy was over there doing it
and it's we'll have a gay old time and of
(23:51):
Jasmine Brand is here. We are here trying to keep
Ray J calm, Well, yeah, I mean you said I
was that you wanted me here, or you want me here,
you here we went to. Okay, so let's talk about
this Ruby Rose versus d d G. All right, now, Apparently,
according to Ruby Rose, she feels like Hally Belly, who
(24:12):
is dd g's girlfriend, was wearing her T shirt shirts.
Yeah Bailey, Holly Bailey looking nice girl. That seems like
she's peaceful and positive. There you go. And so Ruby Rose,
I guest said having she posted having your b where
my clothes is crazy l O L. Now, when this
(24:33):
started to happen, d d G was on live. He
was streaming, and here's what he said when this started unfolding.
Oh my god, it's so funny. I'm sorry that was bad.
Now people started coming for Ruby Rose like why are
you bothering her? She minds her business, And then she
posted I like Haley d dd is awardo though for sure.
(24:57):
Then she posted a screenshot of some alleged conversations between
her and d d G where he's saying, you're still
in a l A. She says yeah, and he's like
where She's like getting ready you hitting me? The day,
I'll argue is so you l O L and he said,
L O L, You're right. Let me go here first.
This is how I knew it was him. You right,
let me go here first. Well, he's saying it's not true, okay,
(25:19):
her with the heart he likes, and then he mad
I wouldn't go home with him after Karicia party, and
then d d G said, c G, I don't believe
that demon. I rebuke in the name of Jesus. And
then somebody posted, uh, y'all, why would be rose? Just
pay me two dollars on cash app to make a
pix art edit of her and d d G d
(25:40):
M L M A O and d DD like that.
And then he said, I know like bad with the
person that said that he liked it to show that
that was true, I guess. And then he said, I
know it looks bad, but it ain't what a seem
that be just evil. Everything is good internally. This whole
situation was foreshadowed. I know everybody want me to be
the bad guy, but I'm really not. And then he
post did you old news game you would want to
(26:02):
be Ice? Spice? Now this is the most relevant you've
been in years. Quit posting that week music You didn't
write on your story and then she post Ruby Rose said,
and where got hit me on Twitter? Because they blocked
on everything else in other ways, she's saying DDG has
to hit her on Twitter. Oh yeah, yeah, because you can't. Yes,
you cannot say that. Then she called him sassy, and
(26:23):
then she said, you called me every time you see
me with a new and we're talking is about them.
I'm single because I don't play that is you know that?
That's why you went to the calm girl who wore
put up with it? She called Holly a calm girl. Yeah, okay,
guys like calm girls though, right, But then yeah, I
think for for for for different reasons. For sure, I
(26:44):
mean she's she seems like a nice girl. She does
Disney stuff. Do you believe DDG or do you believe
Ruby ll Right, let's finish this because then um D
d G sister said to Ruby Rose, y'all can tell
Ruby Rose, I want all the smoke I owe that
bitch and a what anyway for that? Is she put
with my mama and sister, let's get him on the conversation.
But the new one on the new network, what do
(27:06):
you want to call it? The argument here he goes, argument,
get your family before I say something for real, and
then Hallie Bailey finally stepped in and said, the devil
is working l O L. Police, don't feed into the lives,
especially from a third party. Stay blessed everyone. You're always
bringing Jesus into something that was so nice or the devil.
(27:28):
She's so positive? Who do we believe God did? I
don't know. Look, I don't want to believe that d
d G would be sending these messages to Ruby Rose.
And then I saw blue Face stepped into the situation. Yes,
because Chris Sean was in the car with Ruby Rose,
hanging out with her and saying I would post those Yeah.
(27:51):
I mean I honestly think, like you get everybody has
the same shirt, like you know, they probably just had
the same I'm telling this guy, no, no, no, no no, no,
I'm I'm I'm almost a feminist. You're almost a feminist.
At some point we can you can explain, not now,
but at some point you could explain with the almost well,
because I'm the radar these stories that may not be
(28:12):
headline news, but you should be hearing about him on
Way Up with Angela. Ye, these stories are flying under
the radar. Alright, what's going on over here? Guys? It's
way up with Angela yee, Jasmine Brand is here. Race
is gonna get his on radio show podcast. I would
(28:34):
love that. That's why, That's why I'm here to just
kind of like learn and then right after that, like
go right into it. I want to show next week.
And he's like, yeah, I'm trying to find the slots,
but all the slots is pretty much full. But there's
still possibilities and opportunities in other ways and talking to you,
but we're gonna talk. We talk about it, but now
we're doing under the Radar, and we want to talk
(28:56):
about this. This isn't Mississippi. They said there is a
nine increase in newborns being treated for syphilis. Now, according
to the state's former health officer, they said, this seems
like something that should have happened a hundred years ago,
not last year. So the number of babies in Mississippi
being treated for congenital syphilis that means they were born
with this disease has jumped by more than over five years.
(29:20):
And by the way, this is the nation's poor estate
and so experts say this is an avoidable public health crisis.
And uh, one baby actually died. Oh my god, born
in Mississippi. All my people from Mississippi, right, yeah, and
that baby died in So apparently what's happening is the
infection is being passed from the mother to the child
(29:42):
while she's pregnant, and if untreated, a pregnant woman with
syphilis has a chance of passing it to her baby.
So if you have syphilis, you can get treated for it.
But if you don't know about it, or if you
leave it untreated, then that could potentially pass on to
the baby. Now, initially babies may not show symptoms, but
if you're not treated within three then complications can be severe.
It can damnage the baby's organs. The disease can also
(30:05):
damage the child's nervous system and also their vision and
their hearing, and in the gravest cases, like we told
you in one, the baby did die. The people gotta
be clean, have you go ahead? Go ahead. There's some
symptoms that people have, right, that's so that you know,
you might have write it down, Okay. According to the CDC, fever,
(30:26):
sore throat, patchy hair loss, headaches, weight loss, muscle aches,
and fatigue, that's kind that could be anything. I mean, besides,
it could be COVID besides the patchy hair loss, right,
I mean, but doesn't something show up down there? Something
happens like something, Well, these are symptoms, so I don't
know when you have it. You have something like where
you have to turn the lights off, and we're trying
to get diagnosed. The thing is when you go to
(30:48):
the doctor, get tested for everything you know and make
sure if you are at risk, or even if you're
in a in a committed relationship, you could still give
somebody something. And I thought, we don't know if the
other person's cheating. Well also I thought you're supposed to
get tested every year, like either way, you know what
I mean. So if you if you wish somebody and
then you give somebody something, does that mean not you're
(31:09):
cheating or does that mean that you just like got
unlucky and maybe got something in the wind, like something
may have hit hit Wait a minute, how does one
get an STD in the wind? It's it's very windy
in Chicago, New York. So that means if I live
in Chicago, New York and the wind blows and because morning,
(31:30):
just what do you is there an opportunity where something
could have been lingering. So it's dormant. It's what you're saying,
And all of a sudden it jumped out and then
said how are you? It's the time, how are you?
I can see an outbreak like say you have herpes, right,
but it's dormant, and then you have an outbreak and
(31:51):
something that you don't it's dormant. Yeah, it's laying sleep.
It sleeps. I think it's you know, I'm just saying, like,
what if you are talking about two different things. I
think what you're talking about something at STD that's dorman.
I think he's talking about what if could I accidentally
in the wind walk down the street and get an STD?
Well no, I know that, but I'm saying, what if
(32:12):
I had it? I didn't know it? And then I
guess it's dormant talking if he's had it for a
while and then the symptoms show back up, because it's
not a chance that you'll pass it on to somebody
to right away, and so sometimes you could have something
in the I'm just no, I looked at you, we
look I looked at everybody. You know, I'm thinking, I'm like,
(32:34):
you know, I'm trying to come up with I'm you know,
I'm debating. I'm in the were the radio question for
a doctor? Yes, all right, well let's talk. Let's talk
to a doctor. I will make one of my doctor
friends and find out for you. I'm just asking questions.
I'm good. I don't want to edit. It ain't no
big deal to me. I'm just saying I'm trying to
see what's so with other people, like, hey man, I
don't know how this happened, but it happened, and I
(32:55):
know I was faithful. I was faithful, and I still something.
That's your story and no, not mine. I'm not you.
I'm just trying to help listen. Okay, Well, I'm gonna
find out during the Way Up Mixed right now, so
let's get into that that was under the radar. Now,
let's get into the Way Up Mixed feels like Rihanna,
(33:17):
Angela is way up back. He's way up with angel
Ye way yea with Angela. Ye, Jasmine Brand is here,
and Ray J is here Ray up Now. Ray really
wanted to redeem himself today because he's been accused of
(33:37):
saying things that people are saying are quote unquote cap okay,
things that are not necessarily true. Now some of the
things that you said on the Breakfast Club. They don't
believe anything you say. Now you're showing me some ray
seats all right. Now, it says ray J is a
Grammy nominated writer because of Drake. Is that true or false?
(33:58):
Listen to this imminated for a writer for a Grammy.
I'm a Grammy nominated writer because of Drake. From the
from the views, he sample won't Wish and viewers got
album with a year nomination for Grammy. Okay, now I
see it here on who sampled dot Com and Drake Redemption,
it says ray J one where sample appears at sixteen seconds,
(34:20):
three minutes and nine seconds and three minutes and sixteen seconds,
and then it says throughout after two okay, and throughout
that J was not capping, definitely not capping. And the
thing about it is, I didn't even know that I
was nominated until two weeks out of the Gramm either
because Ronnie Jerkins that hit me and showed me my
name was on there. But yeah, no shout out to Drake. Okay, alright, alright,
(34:43):
that went to check, all right? Now, ray J says
he had a g Wagon ten years before it came
to the United States. Listen to this. Now, I got
the brand new g Wagon. I'm driving my sister car.
She got the wagon back ten years before it came
to the state cap clarification here, So what's the clarification
(35:05):
on this When you were just about to say, well,
it was it was my sister car because back then
I couldn't afford I couldn't afford that, but it was.
But she gave it to me because she had a
lot of cars. But yeah, no, um, I would have
to call Brandy. I don't know if she right now.
I'll get that confirmed. But that's exactly what moving on.
But that's like light like cars. Like let's put that
(35:25):
one on hold until we talk to Brandy. Okay, all right,
all right, Next one, you did an album with Boosey.
I got an album with Boosey, The Full Out. I
like seven cap alright, now, ray J album seven or
eight songs. You've had time to pull seven or eight
songs for sure. Okay, alright, So let's see we could
(35:46):
have called Boosey. We could got the booty joints pull
them up. Alright, you good at you should have called Boosey.
We should have called Boosey. Okay, let's put this one
on paulse too. Let's move on now. It says here
that fifty took a poop during a picture eating. Okay,
he took it, y'all FaceTime. Jackie Long took the dump
(36:09):
in the meeting that I had when I was in
a pitch, he was pitching something to him. Yeah, and
he was in the middle of taking the pool. No,
he went in and just did it. Do we have
a picture of this bow movement that fifties. You said
you wanted to come in with the rac Well, I
would have to hit Jackie. No, I had to hit
(36:29):
Jackie Long ray j this. You were supposed to be
prepared for this. Well, we gotta get I think I
think the weekend would like yeah, because I think we
jumped the gun now having everybody ready for the for
the cause, me and me and me and my team,
because we should have had Jackie longready, Brandy ready, like
everybody was seeing that all right now. Also, you said
(36:49):
you did a hard eight years. No, listen, did eight?
I did eight? Fam? Eight? What fam? I did eight?
I did a hard ache? So that when did this
take place? Um, I got it to an incident in
uh in Beverly Hills. What they was accusing me of
(37:10):
something that I didn't do. I got mad and kicked
the police one those cards to kick the police win dolls.
But it was but I was what they said about me,
he wasn't true. So I was mad like that they
had me like himmed up like that. But you did
a hard eight and I was just playing When I said,
I'm like, you know, I did a hard ache. They
(37:31):
like you did a hard what I did a hard
eight hours? It was so you intentionally misled. I was
playing around the people. Yeah, you know a lot of
times I'll just be playing around an I just be like,
you know, my energy is lit and fun. So me
and Charlotte Mane we go back and forth. He like
he like a brother that never believes even though it's
(37:51):
right in front of you. So it's kind of like,
you know, he gave me a hard time, but I
still need to like make sure everything is like cleared,
like I need to clear it. I think that it's
the time and that we have that doesn't give us no, no, no,
you should have been ready for this. I should have
been We have one more Friday. We have one more, right, Okay,
we do well, It's like I don't want to do
(38:12):
this one, No, I just have to. He's not ready, Yeah, yeah,
not ready. Yeah. The show it it's like, okay, what
proves that the bus it kind of you did? It
gives me more time? Though one which one did he
prove the Grammy nominated writer and that and he gave
us clarification on the eight hours eight hours, although we
(38:33):
don't know if that happened for real or not. Yeah,
y'all don't know if I did eight now, we don't
even know. We can pull up the docket, right, is
there a way we can pull up your record and
see there mug shot for that just looking at see
let's see Jo, Let's see ray J mug shots. And
so we all during that those eight hours, were you
(38:53):
actually in a cell? Yeah? I was? I was. I
was intoxicated. So I want to sleep. Did they feed
you at all? They had? They had, they had a sandwich,
they had there is evidence of this. They had liked
muhot looks smiling. It says here singer ray J arrested
the spitting at a cup and walking at the troll
(39:15):
car I'm not and I'm not your first teen spit.
You can't perse I'm sorry. Look at this, that's that orange?
But is it this button? I mean, not this, but
is it this mug shot? When that looks like just
(39:36):
I talked my way out of checking my mug shot,
all right, because I wasn't. I was innocent. So the
charges were vandalism, resisting arresting, battery on a police officer.
But that was yeah, but me and the police like
we cool. Now that good A good. Well, I'm glad
you cleared that up. Guys out there listening when it
comes to kicking police officers and spitting at them, if
(39:57):
somebody's accusing you with something like don't don't overdo it
because then you're gonna do something that's not right and
they're gonna charge you for that. If you're innocent, just
lay low and just keep your keep your energy like pure.
You know what I'm saying. I'm kind of like trying
to overdo it or get mad and then commit a
crime for trying to prove your innocent. That says here
that you inappropriately touched the women at the bar. You
are accused of that, but they found the contact was incidental. Yeah,
(40:21):
what does incidental mean in terms of that? I mean
incidentals to me means like no. Incidentals to me means
like the stuff that you like pay for at the hotel.
I don't know what. I don't know what that means. Okay,
Well let's get incidental. You gotta put your car down
for incidentals. Okay, incidentals. I get what you're saying. The
other stuff that they saying was was untrue. That's why
(40:42):
I got mad. All right. Now when we come back
where you are going to talk about some more ray stuff,
we're gonna talk about rats By and the situation with
ray D and Rasby. Let's clear that up and way
up with Angela yet. Now, you guys like to tussle.
I don't like to tussle. I like to get money.
And it's like, but I got it, but all money
(41:02):
at this point in my career, and good money, and
so I want to get clean money. I want to
huse something that's lit for the world, like we do
a lot of ratchet TV, and you trying to be
ethical and immature and just want to balance it. I
think that's fair. Yes, they can fight, but also then
after the fight, then what well, I want to follow
their life and them and put them if they need
(41:24):
help with their alcoholics or if they're going through something
and they're homeless, or whatever it is they're going through.
I want to be able to put something there for
them to give them a shot to do better with themselves.
And that's it. And all right, does it look like
that's gonna happen. It's just I don't know. It's fight, fight, fight, fight, fight,
that's it. It's called the Dosh Fight Club. So it
ain't no conversation or none of it. Like I've done
so many shows where you do dating and then you
(41:46):
start fighting. You've got a bunch of girls, y'all talking
and you'll start this. This is just straight up. They
just fight, fight, fight, all right, but they can breaking
that down. Ugly is bloody? Is gruesome? All right? All right?
Well when we come back, Mac hopp up my expert opinion.
It's going to be joining us. You know, his podcast
has been going crazy. We saw the interviews with Death
Anthonie his podcast. Yeah, he gets people to really talk
(42:07):
method man, and so we'll be talking to him. He
had Young Guru on there, so let's see what he
has to say he had his own issues too. On
the way up with Angela yee. What's up is Angela? Ye?
It's way up with Angela ye. And as you know,
this is week two of my show, so I'm excited
to have math half a hair. Yeah, I'm in the
building my expert opinion. So you know what's funny, some
(42:30):
of the younger people I won't name names, they look
at you as a interviewer, podcaster and they might not
even know like the whole history. Yes, you think I
remember you from back because when I was as serious
serious Jones used to come on my show a lot. Yeah,
having spoken to him, because um, we did we did
(42:51):
a battle kind of burying the hatchet. Yeah, that was
a good moment. You know, I feel like the handshake
got more views in the actual battle. You know, you
had issues or differences or whatever. But yeah, free Jones. Man,
he's locked up right now. You talk to him at all?
Since like while he's been locked up. I spoke to
him a while ago about him coming on the show,
(43:11):
and since then I heard that y'all locked up. Okay,
So for everybody that you ever battle, have you buried
the hatchet with all of those people know some songs
I like to bury the hatchet right in the middle
of their head. But no, I mean I don't got
no issues with nobody in battle Rap. Now being in
a different space, I barely have time to be, you know,
(43:35):
checking on the culture. I know I have to do,
and so I love the fact that you're able to
get all different kinds of people on your show to
tell stories that you don't get to hear anywhere else.
I know, we've played a lot of it, from when
I was on the Breakfast Club and then even now
You've been having some great moments and then see people
interview you. I saw the Drink Champs three hour long interview. Yes, yes,
shout out the nory. That was my that was my
(43:56):
third time up there. I know sometimes the conversation get
a little bit heated on your show, as you guys
have passed. Was my guy the talk in New York?
So how do you like de escalate situations? I know, yeah, yo,
did I know? I think when I'm Tech and still
(44:16):
were on there, that got a little bit heated as well.
I'm from Brooklyn. I've seen a lot of things, I've
done a lot of things. So until fist is fine,
or bullets whizzing around the room. I never feel like
it's out of a controlled situation. You know, barbershop conversations,
they get heated. Some people are really passionate about the
things that they're saying. So I let that passion play out.
(44:39):
But I'm not gonna let anybody get hurt on my show.
I think the difference between my expert opinion and every
other show is that my guests feel comfortable. Like Derrick
Rose said, a voice told him he needed to come
to my show. Because Derek Rose, I was like, I
don't see him do anything exactly, and he said, I
don't know. A voice told me I needed to come
to your show. And I was like, yeah, it is
(45:00):
on my side. Yeah, And so I do know. You've
had a lot of drama even with the cast on
your show and people saying that you have got this
like two point seven million dollar offer, and I've seen
you say that's not Yeah, don't say that, man. I'm
stilling the hood, doing the hood. You're gonna put a
target on my back, man. But you know what's interesting
to mean is that you said you did have a
contract and so on the table shout out the ditty,
(45:25):
but we didn't really uh come to that space where
it's like, Okay, cool, let's move forward. And I kind
of like being an independent right if you were going
to tell other people, because a lot of people are
starting podcasts, what are some things you would tell them
they need to make sure that they handle before they
get started, that you learn yourself along the way that
you wish you would have known from the beginning. Well,
(45:46):
if you're going to interview people, you need to learn
how to listen some people a real road, good guess.
But the number one thing I would say is just
start of the time. That's the hardest part. Just start.
What do you think about Nori and Joe Button's conversation
that they had where they were talking about all these
former rappers want to be podcasters and then want to
(46:08):
be comedians, and then I love when they fail. I
know because I watched it and I have a podcast
to lip service, and I was like, well, that's not
very nice. What do you think when? I mean, I
felt like, no, he's found But but thinking about it,
I get it. It's the guys that feel like it's easy,
(46:29):
the guys that feel like they don't have to do
any type of homework. They don't have to read books
like I read books on being able to hold conversations.
You know, I'm not gonna laugh at him. I don't.
I don't laugh at people's failures unless it's Joe Button.
But other than that, be good. You know what I like.
(46:50):
I don't think they meant it like you know, we
just laugh at people's failures. We laugh at the people
that think this is easy. Okay, I get what you're saying.
I guess the way that I interpreted, I was like,
well damn. Then, even looking at the whole J. Prince conversation,
a million dollars worth of game, I saw they had
gotten some backlash. People felt like that was irresponsible. Why
would they put that out? Why would that be the headline?
(47:11):
What are your thoughts on that? Because I know you've
had to edit some things out of your interviews at times. Yes,
gild kind of looked like this was in the pressure.
I don't know if you need to see them. They
looked like, yo, they're playing the camera around. It was
some other things going on in there. But um, was
it irresponsible? No? Because if J Prince felt that strongly
(47:35):
about telling that story and in a way, people have
kind of looked at them like they were responsible and
that's unfair. So if they needed to get that out there,
and that's fine. Now. I did appreciate what you had
to say about Mega Stallion when you were like, we
should have believed what she had to say. A lot
of people didn't believe her. I know you had deaf
Anthony on the show. I'm trying to think. Have there
(47:55):
been a lot of women on my expert opinion? I know,
but we're working that worked drink Champce had too always
talk about that. It's like, you know, it's a barbershop,
but we're definitely gonna get some more some more female
guests on that. MC Like, if you're listening, I which
to get you on. Yeah, MC light is no joke.
I was talking about that the other day because she's
(48:15):
the voice of the Grammys, but she's the voice of everything. Yeah,
you know she is about her paper and I had
a crush on over on. Yeah, she still looks cool.
I think she didn't she get divorced recently or something.
She had gotten married and then got divorced and then
she was like you didn't see that. Let me stop
playing what's up? Jed, how you doing. I love your baby.
(48:38):
So when it comes to the situation, like you said,
you apologize to Megan the Stallion, What did that make
you think about it? As far as like the treatment
of women in hip hop, did that make you reflect
on different things? And even for yourself how you present stories?
Is there any difference for that for you? Um, definitely.
You can't call things until there's a natural bon Things
(48:58):
may look one way, but if you don't know the
whole story, you know, you jump out there, you just
end up looking like you know. And that's how I felt.
I felt like an ad for the whole thing, and
I felt like I needed to apologize. So because if
she never saw the clip, there are other people that
were probably influenced by the clip, and then they might
not have bought her story. So I had to apologize
(49:21):
for that. All right, Well, we have math Popper here
from my expert opinion, talking all things about this podcast,
helping you guys out with yours. I love that apology.
When we come back, we got some more with math
Poppa on Way Up with Angela, Up with Angela on
Hey to drop what you're doing and clear your schedules.
(49:42):
I heard Coles added thousands of new Hey oh power
one oh five point one six, I want to New
York and Mental Funny because Girls Is Players too? Yeah, yeah,
(50:15):
because Girls Is Players too. Listen anyway on that Free
I her radio app. Follow your passion and pursue a
career you love. Lincoln Check can help you with hands
on training and Orto Diesel Skill Trade. So when it
comes to monetizing, right, because like I said, this is
to help people who are doing podcasting of their own,
(50:35):
how long did it take for you to say, for
you to get money? Like were you getting money from
the first episode or was it I'm gonna just do
this build it? Because I think sometimes people are impatient
and they think that the podcast game you think it's
just it's just like, how do I make money? It
took me a while, Like my cameraman was getting paid
for hours, right, because that's what happens when you have
It's like starting a business. You have to pay everybody
(50:57):
around you that's doing work and you get paid less, right,
and you gotta figure out that, Okay, do I have
the capital to maintain this for the amount of time
that's gonna take for me to get paid and you
have to give yourself at least six months. At least
six months. Of course, along the way you can pick
up sponsors, maybe a local clothing lines or whatever to
throw something that you for for promotion, but other than that, no,
(51:21):
you've really got to give yourself like six months to
see what it's worth. And we've been rocking for three years.
That's amazing. Well, it has been your biggest episode to
date as far as numbers and impact. But simple good
episode between those two could go method Man because that
(51:45):
meant a lot to you, ourselves, meant the whole life.
How so tell me about you a method man's relationship.
That's the big homie man, that's my big brother, you
know battles. Yeah, I know, you did the Legends only Yeah.
He was one of the first people that showed me
just so much confidence. And he's always giving me words
of encouragement and all that. He's like a real big
(52:05):
brother to me, you know, shout out the math except
for you, that man. And then you get to see
him as a lawyer and I think, God, he's a
cricket lawyer, right, Yeah, yeah, I was kind of mad
at him. Man. He had that episode with the sex
scene that I called him. I was like, Yo, why
you ain't tell me was gonna be out? My man?
I didn't want to see that. I didn't come on, son,
(52:28):
he's supposed to one Yo, man, next episode, my cheeks
is out. So just be careful. You know. Who are
some more people that we can look forward to seeing,
Like how do you batch your interviews? Do you do
him weekly or do you do like more than one
at a time. Sometimes we stacked, sometimes we don't. It
depends on, you know, what's going on, because sometimes when
(52:49):
you stack, you know, right exactly, something might happen with
that artist and then oh damn, we're gonna drop this
interview and he's not even talking about the thing that
everybody's talking about, you know, so you know we played
by here. I got one coming up right now that
I think a lot of people are gonna be surprised
by candidates. That would be interesting. He's back outside. It
(53:10):
was him and l L, him and l L and
then him and a whole bunch of people. It's gonna
be interested to see how people are gonna feel. I
can't wait. It ain't gonna be like Keith Murray, right, Okay, Keith,
what you're doing out here, man. Did you believe that
(53:31):
or was that cap Yes, it's hard for me to
believe anything. Keith for saying right now, shout out to
Fox you, I'm not cool signing none of this. You
trying to give me a trouble and were doing man
signs Keith Burns, that's not happening. Alright. Well, again, thank
you so much for coming through. I do really appreciate it.
(53:51):
This is my first time doing party Time, but I
do want to make sure I highlight some of the
most amazing podcasts that I feel like a really impactful
in our community. So thank you, congratulations to you and everything,
and I appreciate you. Did you call it? Yeah, it's
called potty time? Why podcast time? This kind of what
do you think you parents? You got kids? You don't
(54:13):
all the parents they're gonna be like potty time podcast time.
Matth Hapla, thank you so much. I do appreciate you
my expert opinion. Make sure you'll continue to check that
out because those numbers are in the millions, so keep
running it up. Subscribe baby. All right, thank you so much,
matth Talper for joining me on Way with Angela. Ye,
that's a new segment called Potty Time, and you're the
(54:33):
first one that's done it. So we'll hear a lot
more podcasts that are going to actually be featured on
Way Up with Angela Ye. But coming up we got
asked ye. That's when you get to ask me anything
that you want to know the answer to. We're here
to answer and help you out with whatever your problems are.
That could be business, relationships, friendships, sex, anything. On Way
Up with Angela Y call me now going where with angela? Ye?
(55:00):
It feels like you want to do something and you
want this to be more serious. There should be nothing
wrong with you expressing what you want. It shouldn't all
be depending on what the other person wants. Right, I
will be scared. I'm not I'm not gonna lie. Why
don't necessarily me being getting my feelings hurt just because
I think I've been out of the game for a while.
So now you hear so many different things. You hear like, well,
you know women can't be as aggractive to say what
(55:21):
you want. Come to process. You know you're trying to
control things, and you know I'm also want to electrics
go with the flow. But I do agree with the
fact with sharing what I want. Yeah, I guess that
is gonna come with me having to be vulnerable and
next step whichever where you go. I think that that's
what it's It's not aggressive to say, hey, are we
(55:44):
doing something? Either way, it's fine. I'm just asking so
I know how to plan. I would like to, But
if not, that's cool. I just have a question. I
like the idea of you having a need and you
communicating that. I like that. I like that idea. Right,
whatever you think about asking somebody for Valentine, says a
woman saying, what's going on? We're doing something? Well, first off,
(56:04):
I definitely think the dude should have some lined up,
you know what I'm saying. But what if she doesn't
know and she doesn't want to look like she like
asked desperate? Like desperate. I just think you gotta control,
like the emotions when you ask him, because if he's
not prepared for anything, I think it's like you, you
probably it just start to feel you start to get
a little upset, you know what I'm saying, And so
(56:26):
asking him, I think, Okay, you're making me feel like
a loser like that. I like that if you feel
like the dude should already have something planned, right? Yes? Should?
I just say, well, if he doesn't have anything planned,
then it's not worth my time. He's not interested. That's
not your boyfriend, though, that's not your man. You guys
are just dating. It's still early, but in the early
(56:48):
stage for two years. But that's not that part. You know.
You gotta he gotta have it lined up, even if
it's smart, even if it's just flowers, bunch of flowers? Right,
Is that's something she wants to she? Are they doing
something better? Be? Yeah? I think he's gonna spend some
(57:09):
time with you. You need to know where you stand. Girl.
You can't waste no more time. Is this gonna dictate
if you're gonna be together or not? Nor? I think
maybe that's another problem, but I think it's gonna ren
flag it. Huh. I don't know. Ask him girl. Two
(57:31):
years you have every right to ask, alright, thank you?
There you go, alright, ask you, thank you. There's gonna
be a lot of issues on Valentine's Day. It's feeling
like tomorrow. But when we come back, we have last
word and this is all I have to do with
a question ray J had earlier about whether or not
you can have an STD that is dormant and then
(57:52):
later on passing on to your partner even though you
didn't too well. We will first off, I hate getting
caught up in these questions, but okay, I know it's
a hypothetical situation. Is that possible? And we asked a
doctor to weigh in. When we come back on Way
Up with Angela, Ye, hang up the phone tapping gets
your voice heard with the word bit's the last word
(58:15):
on Way Up with Angela. Ye. All right, we have
doctor Ramique Hunt on the line, and we have ray
here and and the Jasmine brand here. Ramik is a
great friend of my doctor Hunt. I got a great question.
We were talking about um the rate of syphilis going
up in Mississippi and newborn's right now, ray J had
a question about whether or not you could have a disease.
Say you're in a relationship long term, right, ray J.
(58:37):
And what's your question? Question? Is you know you're in
a relationship, and you know you're with somebody and you've
been faith All of a sudden, she got something that
you probably had that you didn't know over a year
you didn't know. Can something be dormant? And then later
on show up and you pass it on to your
partner even though you didn't cheat. Yeah, I mean that
(58:57):
that can happen in a lot of stt You can
not have symplelis, particularly specially simpilis. As far as these
that you can have tessure ciplis where if you can
have for twenty thirty years and get to mention from it.
But is that one that you could pass on to somebody,
Like let's just say we're in a relationship, but not
right away, so maybe you could have it and then
the other person doesn't get it for twenty years that stretch?
(59:20):
All right? What about one year? Could you be with
somebody for a year, never cheat, and then give them
an STD that was dormant? Yeah, you can't, I mean
because it doesn't transmission is not a hundred perspects all
the time. If it were, it would be even worse,
of course, America. Um, but doesn't it show up in
blood work? Though? Like if you get your blood drawn,
can't you test for these things and even if it's
(59:41):
dormat won't show up in your blood work? Yeah? If you?
But but yeah, but typically we don't that kind of
routine test unless you ask for it. Unless you you know,
we we do questions and you you you like, you know,
high risk, then we'll then we'll suggest that you do
these tests and then we'll do them. Yeah, your dad
did you have to tell of them? I want to
get tested for everything, and then they test your blood
(01:00:02):
work for everything. Y'all just got alright? Good? Well, thank you,
We appreciate you. I had no problem. You have a
good day. Way up where Angela Ye
