Yea yeah, what's good?

Speaker 3 (00:14):
It is way up with angela ye.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
And it is a day before the fourth of July,
and for some reason, right before holiday, there is some
extra energy that's going on.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
My producer Dan is here. What are you doing for
a fourth I'm.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
Going to Newport, Rhode Island. Actually my first time out there.

Speaker 2 (00:29):

for you guys today from the b ET Awards. I
did thirty six interviews I just found out, so I
still have some that have not aired yet. Four two
Doug joined us for the first time. And Tamar Braxton.

(00:51):
She didn't do a ton of things while she was
out there, but what she did do, which I appreciate,
is stopped by way up. So we have that for
you guys today. But let's start with some love, some positivity.
Let's shiner light eight hundred and two ninet two fifty
one fifty.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Let us know who you want to spress him love to.
It's way up shine.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Turn your lights on. Y'all light spreading love to those
who are doing greatness. Hinna light on them, shine the
light on. It's time to shine a light on.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
What's up this way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela
Yee and happy Wednesday, and it is. It's a wealth Wednesday,
you know.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
We like that.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Money's always on my mind, but we also got to
spread some love and positivity. We got a shine a
light and I want to shine a light on my
girl Tracy. It was her birthday last week. We were
all at BAT Awards together. I ended up staying at
the same hotel that she always stays in, and I
saw her post that she put on social media.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
She works at Epic Records.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
She's an executive vice president, and I know that she's
been going through a lot. She posted, the past three
hundred and sixty five days since my last special Day
has taught me several life lessons. And she said, you
must take the positive with the negga, And that is
so true. While some things that happen in life may
be negative, we always come back with some wins. Sometimes
you're at your lowest before you get to your highest,

(02:09):
you know. And she's somebody that definitely deserves it. She
works really, really hard. I'm just grateful that during this
holiday we are going to spend some time together. She's
been super busy, so have I. But you always got
to check on your strong friends. So shout out to
my girl Tracy from Epic Records. Now, who do you,
guys want to shine a light on?

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Prince Creed? What's good? Who you want to shine a
light on?

Speaker 5 (02:29):
I want to shine a light on myself sometimes, you know,
I don't give myself enough credit the things that I
do because I don't look for the athletes. As a
person out there speaking and advocating against mental health suicide prevention,
I have a nonprofit called Rugeshore Alliance Suicide Prevention. I
have a book that's geared towards the projects. You know,
we were untreated with ADHD, depression, anxiety, and suicide audiation.

(02:54):
So I want to shine a light on me. My
book just came out and I'm having such a great
response with people coming back and saying how it's champing
their lives.

Speaker 6 (03:04):
I'm proud of you. I'm proud of you. I was
a big fan on the club. Now I'm a big
fan now.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Well, thank you Prince Cree, I appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
And yes, sometimes you do have to look back and
be like, I'm doing a lot, and I'm proud of
myself for all the accomplishments that I have and for
how I'm helping other people. I think that's the real test,
right when you're a servant for other people and doing
things that actually benefits others, that's the best feeling.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Indeed.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Indeed, how can people find you?

Speaker 5 (03:29):
Prince Creed Instagram at the Creative Underscore Prince, thank you, Angel,
I appreciate you.

Speaker 6 (03:36):
Sister, thank you.

Speaker 6 (04:09):
I'm still in love with my baby daddy and.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
He's not what do you so? Why is he not? Ish?

Speaker 6 (04:16):
So he does nothing for our kid. He doesn't even
mess with our kid at all, And for some reason,
I still have these feelings for him, and I hate
myself for it.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
We know why though. That sex is amazing.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
Oh my god, that's what it is.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
So that is what it is.

Speaker 6 (04:33):
But I still have amazing and I don't know why
I'm still holding.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
On to him but still not taking care of the kid.

Speaker 7 (04:40):
Like yeah, right, she knowss wrong, but that's that's the thing.
That's the first fantasy. She knows it's wrong, but but
it's it's hateful, but it's lustful at the same time
she knows.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
She's going, what are you gonna do?

Speaker 6 (04:54):
I don't know. I have to let it go, though.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Do he really not do nothing for his kids? But
he'll come and knock you on.

Speaker 6 (05:00):
No nothing. He had a little family situation, and I guess,
I interjected, the family messed that up?

Speaker 1 (05:09):
So yeah, so he had a family first.

Speaker 6 (05:12):
Like the redhead. Yeah, well see, hold on, let's be fair.
I had him first, and then I let him go,
and then he went and created his family, and then
he came back, and then we created my baby, and
then he went back.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
A lot for the lastly.

Speaker 7 (05:30):
She hates you, right, and they all hate each other.
Y'all should alway be one happy family. You know, all
that hate flowing like that.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
He said, and he is living it up. He gets it.
Bounce back, Yeah, what does he do?

Speaker 6 (05:45):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (05:46):

Speaker 6 (06:21):
I have to because it's bad. But I appreciate hearing

Speaker 2 (06:26):
All right, we appreciate you. I know it's embarrassing for you.
You don't want to tell none of your friends because
they all like, he ain't nothing, He ain't no good family.

Speaker 6 (06:34):

Speaker 9 (07:03):

Speaker 4 (07:04):
No, this is like not even a week old yet, but.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
It's still a throwback.

Speaker 2 (07:07):

Everybody was talking about it and it was just like
how she's just a vibe for sure, like a viod.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
She herself.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
She made me want to have a baby daddy, so
I can say, but it's like your alter ego. That's
just good about it, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
It's like, know, but a.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Lot of people want to say what she says.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
But that's the thing we were talking about.

Speaker 8 (08:29):
It was like, Yo, we love her, but we can't
be in the car of wrapping her lyrics.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
But what if that song is about you? Then you
also not gonn feel.

Speaker 10 (08:39):
So you don't even want to click on some of
the song names, like you know, what's.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
About the guy?

Speaker 3 (08:45):
So talk to us about the new album it's not
a long road.

Speaker 10 (08:49):
And I got music on her that I was recording
before I went to jail, and majority of the new songs,
I just was trying to like get my emotions. I'll
get my feelings out, you know what I went through.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
And at the.

Speaker 10 (09:00):
Same time, like stay turned to like give a few
of them, you know what I'm saying, my usual song
were trying to just give a different song. I feel
like it came out great.

Speaker 6 (09:10):
Listen.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
I don't know if I should bring this up, but
I'm gonna do it anyway. I sat next to jazz
Mimbernee and she started rapping.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
I feel like it was kind of cuzy, you know, man,
she do good.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Her song was lit.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Though I ain't never heard it, you didn't know, but honestly,
like like I said, I love your city and I
love the fact that you're home.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
Welcome home. It's good to see.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
No Absolutely and congratulations. The album comes out on July
for Forever Us and Never Them. Who else is on
the album besides Sexy Bay.

Speaker 10 (09:46):
I got baby on there, okay, g Youngster.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
The street song quiet right Now you say your principal
on there?

Speaker 4 (10:00):
I got my principal. She like introduced down that fire.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
Why did you decide to do that?

Speaker 10 (10:07):
And I love her to death, Like she's writing me
in jail, like getting me through, help me, telling me
what to read, telling telling me songs.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
I sure do that.

Speaker 6 (10:15):
She had one to jail at.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
The meet your principal.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait waits.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
Your principal was writing you while you was in jail.
You get out and she goes to jail.

Speaker 6 (10:25):
She had one to jail?

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Wow out?

Speaker 4 (10:27):
So what you sent her?

Speaker 6 (10:28):
She got out?

Speaker 1 (10:29):
I went to jail.

Speaker 10 (10:31):
You know, I don't know she can talk?

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Sure, all right, but here's to you. I love it
the city.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
I know the city left you, but we all, you know,
happy to see you.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
I appreciate y'all having everything that you've been accomplishing.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Sure, keep drinking wine.

Speaker 6 (10:48):
Man.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
All right, all right, well that was for two Doug.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
I know we're gonna do something like for real, for real,
not just behind the scenes b E T awards.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
What'd you think then?

Speaker 4 (10:58):
I thought it was great. He was really like talkative.
For whatever reason, I thought he would be like a
one word answer type of No, he's pretty funny, Yeah, No,
he was really funny. Yeah, he's been tried wine for
the first time.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Shout out to my girl, Ingrid, I best wines. You
have four two Doug, the first time he's ever tried wine.
Is your wine? Okay? Sis, get that pinky. Yeah, he's sophisticated.
He was like, I'm gonna take this with me. We
also got the Way Up mixed for you guys at
the top of the hour, plus Tamar Braxton in a
little while.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
It's way up, ye yee. But you all been waiting for.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
You tapped in the way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
What's up? It's way up at Angela yee.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
We are at the b E T Awards in the
media room and of course I got DJ Louis with
me in here, and he just told Tamar Braxton she
is not welcome to house.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
She's always in my building.

Speaker 8 (11:47):
She's always inn iHeart building in Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
That's family, that's right.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
I thought when he said your building, I thought you
was creeping somewhere.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
No, okay, I was like.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
Who is she talking to in the building. But honestly, Tamar,
you look amazing.

Speaker 8 (12:00):
You.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Thank you. You got a lot going on. I feel
a lot, a little bit of stuff going on.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
I mean, personally but also like publicly obviously you and
Eric Bee yeah, his son something you can make a
love too. So talk to me about just working with
somebody like Eric Benee and then also what is some
what are some songs you make love to?

Speaker 3 (12:20):
I don't know about that.

Speaker 11 (12:24):
Well, you know, Eric and I met doing a play
that we did with Snoop Dogg and we've been friends
since then. And I'm working with Tricky Stewart right now
on my new album. And when I was at the studio,
he was like, well, Eric wants you to get on
this record. I am, And so it was written by
the Dream and yeah, and so I just hopped.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
On it and here we are.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
And then you have the show coming back, right which
shaw are the is?

Speaker 2 (12:50):
The Brat's a couple shows, okay, going on the braxast
is coming back.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
But you know, I'm more like a friend to the show.

Speaker 11 (12:58):
Okay, But it's all about Tracy and you know, celebrating
her life. It's something that she wanted to do before
she passed, and so we just you know, made that
happen for her.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
That's good.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
I'm glad to see that y'all were able because I
thought it was never gonna happen, but it just show
brought in such great ratings. But I also mentally it
can't be something that like drags you down. So I
feel like you made a good.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Yeah, I did.

Speaker 6 (13:19):
It was a lot.

Speaker 11 (13:20):
You know, there was a therapist on set every time
because it was very triggering for me. And it's a lot,
and you know, I guess like reality, the way a
family reality television setting is is that a lot of
things come out, you know what I mean, you talk
about a lot of things that are honest and truthful,
and sometimes we're not ready to do that in front
of the camera. And so yeah, but this season is

(13:43):
not about a bunch of drama. It's just about celebrating
Tracy and you know, where we are in our lives
and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
People don't realize that just because it's a reality show
doesn't mean you're not a human being too exactly. And
I think sometimes the things that are happening, like people
will just pick it up or and act like it's scripted.

Speaker 8 (14:00):
So like it does show how real you and your
family are. Yeah, you know what I mean, Like none
of this is like fake. And I think now people
get that mister screw with all the other other shows,
you know, no lots of them, but this is real life.

Speaker 11 (14:10):
It's definitely real life, and it's also real life for
like at that time, the network, you know, they really
wanted ratings, and you know, they really wanted to be
like love and hip hop and that's not who my
family is, and so they had to basically create that
kind of a toxic environment, you know, And so that's
what they did, and that's why I'm a friend to
the show.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
You said, you have other shows you're working on this season.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
College, Hell, that's yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
I actually really enjoyed college. Hell yeah, listen, let me
tell you something.

Speaker 11 (14:39):
It was a very hard thirty days, but it was amazing.
I got to go back to college when to Zevier University,
and I met some amazing people.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
Enter.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 11 (14:51):
Yeah, it was a good time.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
But who did you connect with the most?

Speaker 11 (14:54):
Everyone?

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Saucy Santana was my roommate.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
Wow, you know, that was a lot.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
We have a lot of mutual friends.

Speaker 11 (15:02):
Claudia Black, China, Carlos.

Speaker 4 (15:07):
Yeah, it was a good.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Time, swaggy like we had a black like too much fun.
Oh man, it was a lot of work though, Okay,
you know, yeah, we really did go to school. Yeah,
all right, Now personally, are we still going to see
like this wedding happening?

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Is that gonna be it? You have to stay tuned
for that.

Speaker 11 (15:24):
Yeah, because I did say that this is something that
you know, I don't want to discuss in public anymore,
you know what I mean, because everybody has their own
two cents to say, and you know, it just turns
into a mess. So I say nothing. I'm always praying
for the best for you.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
I don't like when people come for Tamar, Thank you.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
I appreciate every interaction I've ever had with you has
always been really positive, Thank you and uplifting and fun.
So when you come and do lip service and we
get only known can Yeah, you know.

Speaker 11 (15:48):
I was just about to say, like, that's something that
I really really want to do.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Yeah, so we're gonna we're gonna really lie that we're
gonna have a good time with it.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
All right, Well, thank you for that. BTA Warre's Tamar
Braxton always a blessing you. Thank you so much to
Tamar Braxton for joining us when we come back. We
have asked ye eight hundred two nine two fifty one
fifty is a number. You know, all I want to
do is help you out is way up?

Speaker 6 (16:10):
This relationship with Koreer advice Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
This is as gee, what's up?

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Its way up at Angela? Ye, I'm here, menos here
the award winning advice man and it's time for ask
ye again. Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty
is a number today we have I met on the line.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
Yes, I'm here.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
What's your question today?

Speaker 9 (16:32):
I just want to know if I'm wrong for feeling
some type of way because.

Speaker 6 (16:37):
I'm in a situation ship with a girl. We've been
staying together for some months.

Speaker 9 (16:42):
We had to shoot coming from a cookout, and when
we got back home, she had somebody send her uber
from all the way from north to the Bronx. We
didn't come back in a day and a half later.

Speaker 6 (16:56):
That she wasn't wrong because I go out to the bar.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
Wait who sent her an uber?

Speaker 6 (17:03):
Exactly? You know, when we get into a little discute,
she always says she got.

Speaker 9 (17:07):
This god she used to mess with in the Bronx
and she would throw it at in my faith, So
I'm assuming it's him.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
What day this happened? This happened last week on Saturday.
She don't have no respect.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
Now, let me ask you this, but do you do
that to her?

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Because sometimes people do the things that it's a tip
for tat and I saying that that's right, But have
you done that to her?

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Well?

Speaker 5 (17:27):
Like I said, I do go out to the bar
when I get the.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
Chance, But do you do you do you get missing
for a day?

Speaker 4 (17:34):
Though?

Speaker 1 (17:35):
No?

Speaker 6 (17:35):
Absolutely not.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
But what is it?

Speaker 2 (17:37):
What is it that she wants you to do? Just
let her know that you're going, Like, what is it
that she wants?

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Right?

Speaker 7 (17:43):
Right?

Speaker 6 (17:43):
That's done.

Speaker 9 (17:44):
I don't pull the door like I'm a man and
and it's just that it's just.

Speaker 6 (17:48):
Like it is my way.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
It felt like she was trying to teach him a lesson,
like your lesson, throw the whole lady away. But I'm
just saying it feels like we all are not effectively communicating.
But if all she wants you to do is send
a text like hey, I'm going to the bar, that
doesn't sound like something.

Speaker 3 (18:07):
That's unreasonable and los to.

Speaker 5 (18:09):
Think she went to the bounx that she didn't even
have no money.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
I'm the provider here, No, he's the provider. She got
that over.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
You got some other issues, But I mean, it seems
like you have these traditional views on You're the man.
I don't have to tell you where I'm going. I
don't have to tell you what I'm doing. I'm the provider,
and she is not going for that.

Speaker 9 (18:29):
You want to be even like out of I'm not
with that, and I already told her before we get
in a situation. It's not even.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Between me and you.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
But you know what, I ain't gonna lie having this conversation.
You sound very stubborn and said in your ways. Okay,
So I'm just saying, relationships also do require you, guys,
to compromise, and you have no level of wanting to compromise.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Nope, my way or the what.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
It can't just be all about what you want, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 6 (18:55):
I don't agree with that.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
See, okay, give up. I'm with her. Who's gonna send
me an uber? I gotta get out of here.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
I appreciate you for calling the Akhmed, but I'm just
saying you gotta think about the role that you're playing
in this too. She's probably a little frustrated, and you're
making it seem like she's not even on your level
or worthy of you, and you don't even owe her
to check in and say, hey, this is what.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
I'm doing, and you don't even want to do that.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
So if there's no compromise there and you're not going
to give in and you're going to the bar every
single night and not even taking her out, I don't
know what you.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Expect a man.

Speaker 6 (19:30):
Now, what's your guy?

Speaker 1 (19:31):
First?

Speaker 6 (19:32):
Man?

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Throw it away, bro get you a new.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
One, Yes, sir, I write single Boys Club.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
All right, Well, thank you for calling.

Speaker 6 (19:39):
All right, I appreciate that putting me on.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
No problem, Lord, that hurt my head. All right?

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Well that was ask ye eight hundred and two ninet
two fifty one fifty. I love when you guys call
it up for advice and when we can really help
you out. Sometimes you listen, sometimes you don't. It's way up.

Speaker 4 (20:24):

Speaker 3 (20:25):
You never even tried it, you know what I've had.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
I don't know if this kinds tuna fish out of
a can when I was younger.

Speaker 3 (20:30):

Speaker 4 (20:31):
I mean it's technically seafood, but no.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
It's like nothing right, that's not It's like fabricated.

Speaker 4 (20:36):
It's great. I love tuna fish, don't get me wrong,
But I'm talking about like lobster, crab, oysters, clown and man.

Speaker 3 (20:44):
I saw in the airport.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
You saw when those crabs were crawling off the belt,
Like I guess somebody was bringing crabs in their luggage
and then the bag must have busted up and they
were crabs crawling.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
I'd be so sad it was dinner crawled away.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
First of all, it looks sad to see those poor animals.
Oh yeah, shees, Dan, you're a savage. Okay.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
Well, anyway, I know you're doing that for me.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
I've been dealing with a lot of house activities and
this week I am dead set, as you know, on
trying to get a lot of things finished in my house.
You know how hard it is to live in a
house that's.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
Like have done living out of boxes.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
I'm like ninety percent done now, I'm just waiting for
certain things to happen.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
Some things are out of my control.

Speaker 4 (21:23):
Well, congratulations on it, thank you.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
It's tough.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
But sometimes I'm excited and sometimes i'm not. Like sometimes
I'm like, oh my god, when this is ever gonna end,
I'll be so happy. But anyway, I'm gonna be posting
something some of my favorite things in my house when
things feel like they're a little bit more done, so
there's not boxes in the background.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
All right, Well, y'all be safe. Tomorrow's the fourth of July.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
If you are traveling today, just know this is such
a busy travel time. Pay attention to the weather. The
weather's been crazy, all right, And we love you guys.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
