was part of the team, it's Sydney.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
She worked so hard.

She does all of our social media and she was
there getting everything on camera, making sure that she was
pulling people over and moving people out the way when
it was time to take a picture.

Philly who's on the check in too. But we want
to just spread some love and shine a light on you, Sydney.
We love the fact that you're so cool and easy
to work with. You go really hard, so you deserve it. Now,
who do you guys want to shine a light on?
Eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty? What's up, April?
Who do you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 6 (02:36):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (02:37):
My fiance. His name is got Off Kerry.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
I like that name. That's cool, got Of Perry. He
sounds famous.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
He don't want to say he loved you, So I'm like, listen,
I gotta shine him out today. I gotta shine a
light on him. He's going awesome with his podcast. Okay,
that got off in still nineties.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Series on the fiance side of things? Right, how long
have you guys been engaged and together before that?

Speaker 5 (02:57):
Okay, we've been together with eight years.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Okay, it's real.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
So he's an awesome guy. Okay, we have a daughter,
and I think.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
All right, well, I know he loves hearing from you
because your energy is amazing too, So shout out to
you and Datta try I tried, all right, Thank you
for calling.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
April, Okay, thanks, I talk to you later.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
All right.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Well that was Shina Light eight hundred and two nine
two fifty one fifty in case you couldn't get through.
And when we come back, Angelo White aka Black China
joined us at the BET Awards. Will tell you what
she had to say. Well, she'll tell you for herself.
We also have four bats joining us later on in
the show.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
It's way up, way up with Angela. Ye more, now,
what's up?

Speaker 2 (03:41):
It's way up. I'm way up and I have another
Angela with me. Angela White is here, Yes, I am here.
I am So we're at the BET Awards. Of course
we're in the media house. And you're not the only
artist in your family. Now no, yeah, So your daughter
actually has a song out.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Yeah, you know, we teased it and it's so cute,
like dreams. She really loves music. She loves anything with
the camera too. She just like it naturally comes to
her and she enjoys it.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
And you have a studio in the house anyway, Yeah.

Speaker 7 (04:10):
I have a studio in the house.

Speaker 8 (04:12):
You know.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
King actually has a song too. So King honestly did
it first before any of us.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Besties, though, yeah, the best to do it better Bessy's
do it patter. Last time we spoke, we were talking
about the journey that you've been on. You look amazing,
and it feels like things in your life have really
been like falling into place.

Speaker 7 (04:28):
Well for you, right into place, like super smooth.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
And then I've have been getting more things faster, whether
it's like filming or the music or just even with
my kids, like my personal relationship, my relationship.

Speaker 7 (04:42):
With my mom, business.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Deals, like everything is just falling right into place. Sometimes
we be in a rush. I'll be in a rush too.
I get in patient. I'm like, man, when is this
gonna happen? And then God always shows up right there,
right when I need something to be done, or if
I need clarification with.

Speaker 7 (04:59):
Sun with something.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
So it's been a good journey, you know what I mean,
It's been more good than bad because I know everybody's
healing journeys looks looks different. But for me, like it's
been smooth, especially because I put my sobriety into it
and my spirituality and the fitness, so I feel like
it's more mind body soul.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
That's amazing to see everything that you've been able to accomplish,
because what's the beginning, you would say the hardest part not.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
The beginning, because you're not sure, like exactly where it
is that you're going. It's just keeping it up. I
think that's the hardest part. And with that being said,
it's an everyday thing, so it's not like it's to
start to finish my sobriety is not oh, I'm gonna
be sober for just two years and then I'm gonna
go back to drinking. No, like, this is an everyday
lifestyle situation for me, everything that I'm doing.

Speaker 7 (05:46):
So it's a marathon.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
And it is nice to see your relationship with your
mom now, yes, when she thinks about, like what it
is that you're going through, how is that rubbed off
on her too?

Speaker 1 (05:55):
It's actually rubbed off on my whole household, you know
what I mean? Because one person does well like for themselves,
everybody trinkles underneath, especially around your immediate family.

Speaker 7 (06:05):
Right, So my mom's so good.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
She just filmed Aunties on Zeus, so that's going to
be really good.

Speaker 7 (06:11):
I can't wait to watch that. I can't wait.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
And then my mom is actually filming her own podcast
now Curtains closed, and it's just good.

Speaker 7 (06:19):
I just love to.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
See like my mom happy and like working in her element.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
And she's always been very protective over you and loved you,
even though like publicly y'all have kind of gone at it.
But yeah, it's nice to be in this space now
where it's like we did.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Yeah, and I feel like, you know, what if you
and your mom may never go through something, and that's
say see it. Yeah, we are family, we fight, we
love each other, but at the end of the day,
as long as you have open communication and resolve whatever
issue it is, it's always gonna be problems. But it's like,
let's just find a solution instead of walking away from
a situation or using angry words to try to hurt somebody.

(06:56):
So now it's like it's more communications.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Antela White, who's in here right now? Oh yeah, yeah,
just a real life advice to people. I can because
you've been through it all though, and I feel like
that makes it more relatable to people. You know, it's
nice to see somebody like you who's like going through
stuff and then you come through on the other side
and makes people feel like I would listen to her
before I would listen to somebody who's never been through anything.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Yeah, And I feel like that's why everything was so public,
Like going through that stuff is like very like traumatized.

Speaker 7 (07:26):
And I'm not going to lie.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
I don't know if you watch College Hill, but I'm
on season three Celebrity edition, and I was just really
learning more stuff about myself, like a lot of things
that I didn't think would trigger me, the smallest things
like they asked me to do a in my converged
media class to talk about past articles that was written
about me, and I was like, oh, lord, like and

(07:49):
I just kind of broke down in tears like in
the class and I couldn't finish.

Speaker 7 (07:53):
That class that day.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
But it's all about, you know, overcoming, and I was
able to, you know, go back to the class again,
stay up there in front of in front of like
my peers and things like that.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
But yeah, congratulations to you on everything. The consistency is
definitely showing.

Speaker 7 (08:08):
We like, thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
All right, well, thank you so much to our girl Angela.
Why she's so sweet. I love the fact that I
feel like she's got some positive things happening in her life,
and it's it's you know, when you put out that
positive energy.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
It definitely comes back to you.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
All right, Well, speaking of which, or maybe not, tell
us a secret when we come back eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty. Maybe there's some things that
you want to put out in the atmosphere so you
can have some positive energy too, and just get it
out there so it can evaporate, so those secrets don't
weigh you down.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
It's way up. This is a judgment free zone.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
Tell us a secret.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
What's up? This way up?

Speaker 2 (08:48):
But angela, yea, I'm angela yee mainos here. Why are
you already saying shush, we're gonna do talking to mother?

Speaker 3 (08:53):
Okay? Oh is it a secret? All right? Well eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty call us up
and tell us his secret. What's up? A ninymus call it?
What's your secret?

Speaker 9 (09:03):
I just proposed to my fiance, but she doesn't know
that I have another wife.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Oh my gosh, all right, what are you?

Speaker 9 (09:14):
But I'm married at the same time.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Are you happily married or are you about to get
a divorce?

Speaker 9 (09:20):
A kid? We have a kid together, so I'm trying
to make it work, but I like the other one
as well.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
Nice, How are you going to do this?

Speaker 3 (09:27):
How do you plan to do this?

Speaker 9 (09:29):
I'm gonna propose to her and I'm gonna record it,
and then I'm gonna show my wife to see if
she give me the divorce papers. She don't want to
divorce me.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Also, the problem is, so you and your wife you
want to get divorced, how do you think your fiance
is gonna want to.

Speaker 9 (09:44):
I want her to break up with me. I don't
want to break up with her because I feel bad.
So I'm gonna show her that I'm in another relationship.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
So that doesn't make you feel bad.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
To do that? Yeah, that's gonna make it does make
me feel bad.

Speaker 9 (09:56):
But I don't I don't know what to do any advice.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
That sounds like a little more hardcore, right right, so
listen check this out right?

Speaker 4 (10:02):
Do you have any other reason to break up with her?
Like has she been a good white.

Speaker 9 (10:06):
Or the bills? The bills, okay, like she's not doing enough.
And then the girl that I'm talking to now, who
I want to be my fiance. She's kind of financially stable.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
She don't know you have somebody else at all.

Speaker 9 (10:19):
No, she don't know at all.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
Oh, you've been outside working.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
I think you definitely got to tell this woman what's
going on.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
She's not gonna want I wouldn't want to marry somebody
who's already basing our relationship off of a lie, and
that the information you've.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
Been working, your treachery man and your deceit.

Speaker 9 (10:37):
So you think I should tell From what I'm talking
to now.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
I think you should tell her. And I think you
should tell your wife that it's not working. And if
you don't want to be with her.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
Don't even have a real reason to break up with her.
She's probably been a good woman to him.

Speaker 9 (10:51):
She's a good woman.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
She deserves better.

Speaker 9 (10:54):
It's her housewife. Like she's not doing nothing, she's not
making me happy.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
But you knew that.

Speaker 6 (10:59):
You knew that when you got married everything. You knew
that when you got married to an adult.

Speaker 9 (11:04):
I know. But now we got a kick together. So
it's like, I don't even know where I'm at where
I stand.

Speaker 6 (11:10):
You should have a conversation with both of them, opposed
to just showing her you in another relationship.

Speaker 4 (11:16):
That's gonna be a harder roof to fall from.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
What would you want your child to think about you
later on in life.

Speaker 9 (11:21):
I want him to think that I tried to work
things out with his mom and I gave up when
she started giving up.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Well, having a kid can also sometimes change a woman
for a while. Have you thought about that, Like things
might be different after having a baby and going through
what she wants doing.

Speaker 9 (11:37):
I might be a little bit of an ass. How
do you think about it?

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Or not?

Speaker 1 (11:40):
So?

Speaker 3 (11:41):
Yeah, I think you are an ass and you should
work on that.

Speaker 5 (11:45):
All right, I appreciate it, Okay, thank you.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
No judgment, no judgment.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
I'm sorry you got that was tell us a secret
eight hundred two ninet two fifty one to fifty in
case you couldn't get through. And later on in the show,
we're gonna have four bats to join it us. He's
from Dallas, by the way, He's got like this whole
mysterious thing and certain things he didn't want to talk about.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
We'll discuss it. It's way up.

Speaker 8 (12:10):
We about to do this one of lingos to famous
women in radio video.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
We're talking about Angela Hick. You're way up with Angela. Ye,
please believe that what's up its way up. I'm here
Louis v is here.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
Yes, BT weekend we here, Yes, we're here.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
In four bass is here. We'll so listen.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
I was just telling you we were in Dallas, and
you're from Dallas. But we had such a good time
while we were out there, so yeah, and everything it
feels like happened quickly for you. Sometimes we think that,
right because we look we're on the outside looking in.
But what were you doing in preparation for this moment?
Because you had a huge song that we could like. Honestly,
from the first time I heard it, it sounded so different

(12:47):
than anything else I've ever heard, and it's the type
of son the first time you hear you like, this
is a hit.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
Yeah, So before that, what were you doing to get
to where you are now? Because sometimes things we feel
like it happened overnight, but it didn't.

Speaker 8 (12:59):
My only and is going to the studio and doing
my music and just staying I'm just doing what I love.
You know, I don't I don't see this as you know,
Oh this this is my head, you know, this is this, this,
this this this, Because if that's the case, you are
me at those cleaning those you know. So I'm just
having fun, you know, when I'm young and you know,
I'm just ready for.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
The world and then putting out an EP and a tour. Yeah,
I mean that's a lot. It feels like you see
it in a moment too.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
Yeah, how do you know how to sing like that
when you're in like church.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
Choir or anything?

Speaker 4 (13:30):
Like you know what's crazy about?

Speaker 8 (13:31):
I used to hate singing for like anybody that's not
even me singing, but just anybody that sing. I just
didn't like it. You know, my mama was a good singer.
I just wasn't a singer. I actually started singing like
seven months ago.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
That's hilaria. Now look at you love it. Yeah, I
ain't gonna lie.

Speaker 8 (13:45):
Now it's kind of like it's a vibe because at
first I didn't like singing because I didn't want to.
I wanted to be tough and I wanted to be
like this, that that. But now it's like you like,
that's who you are. Now it's like it's a ticket,
you know what I'm saying. And I just love it,
you know what I'm say. Yeah, So I'm just I'm
here like I'm having I'm having a bad Yeah, you
can't stop me from singing.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
You have such a recognizable look too. Somebody could also
easily pretend to be you.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
Yeah for Halloween.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
And it feels like you've.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
Been through a lot, just from your music already. To
be so young in relationships, hell yeah.

Speaker 8 (14:19):
Man, they've been Hey, look life and being at but
I learned a lot went through that. You know, I've
been through a lot, but I learned a lot, and
I'm glad I did because I think it gave me
a headstarting a lot of people, a lot of people.
It's like, let's just have a jolly time. Let's just
do this, and with me, I'm in survival mode, even
though I'm sure having fun with it. Of course I'm
in survival mode. You know I'm not gonna let up.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
So all right, well listen, we appreciate you for stopping through.
All right. Well that was four Bats. Thank you to
him for joining us.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
I was just in Dallas for the together Land Festival,
so it was just interesting to have four Bats up here.
He's he's kind of like got a sound that I
haven't heard before. I will say that, you know, you
want to compare people to other people, but I can't
really think about who would I ever compare for back
to that's a good thing, all right, Well ask ye
when we come back eight hundred two nine fifty one

(15:08):
fifty any question you have.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
I'm here to help since with its relationship.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
For career advice, Angela's dropping facts you.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Sho, you should know? This is SD. What's up? His
way up for Angela? Yeah, I'm Angela. Ye. Mano is
here and we have a good ask yee on the
line as we sit here.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
And eat this Jamaican food. Today we have Veronica on
the line. What's up Veronica?

Speaker 5 (15:28):
Hila?

Speaker 4 (15:29):
Are you?

Speaker 3 (15:30):
I'm a good How are you? It's me and Maino.

Speaker 5 (15:33):
Hey, Rena, how you doing good?

Speaker 4 (15:35):
Good?

Speaker 8 (15:36):
Good?

Speaker 7 (15:36):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (15:37):
So how do it be nice to my boyfriend who
has gained a lot of weight? Before when we were dating,
he was nice and fun. He was going to the
gym playing basketball. Now you've got that relationship after two
years the relationship happy way?

Speaker 9 (15:51):
Like, how can I be nice about it?

Speaker 5 (15:53):
Like you need to lose some weight because you're fat?

Speaker 4 (15:55):
Do just that? Don't be nice? Listen, boy, you're fat,
getting back in the gym, you're on a TREADMI.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
I will say, you know your boyfriend better than anybody
some people can handle that well and some people. You
have to be a little bit more sensitive because some
people are okay with you being like, look, you're getting
fat and we got to deal with this, and some
people will not like that approach. So what approach do
you feel like with your boyfriend can work? I'm thinking

(16:20):
going safe war like may not say listen, right, it's
nice in the winter and it's okay. Well, you know
what though, I always feel like when people want to
make sure that their partner is at their best, you
can actually participate in helping make that happen, because sometimes
we put our happy way because we are both not
eating the way that we should be eating and doing

(16:42):
different things. And so maybe if you can implement this
into how you guys go to the gym together, the
meals that you guys eat, like, encourage each other to
do better, cook more at home, you know, So just
things like that and figure out how you can work
on this together, because I think it's always good when
you approach things in a couple as a team.

Speaker 5 (17:03):
All Right, you're right, because we've be eating on a
lot of McDonald's lately.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
They're away from the mcdams. This is your fault.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
Yeah, see, and that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
It's got to be an effort on both of your parts,
because it's really hard to be with somebody and the
E and McDonald's and I'm not supposed to.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
Yeah, you enabling him, right.

Speaker 5 (17:22):
You're right, Thank you so much, guys.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
All right, Veronica, all right, but that was asking eight
hundred two nine fifty In case you couldn't get through,
leave a message and will answer your question that way.
And of course you know we are partying with you.
It's a Friday. Friday is honestly my favorite day of
the week. I still get to come into work, but
then I'm also looking forward to the weekend. I know
I don't have to get up early the next day,

(17:45):
so all good things.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
Let's party it up on a Friday.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
Take up the phone, tapying to get your voice heard.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
What the word bit he is the last word on
Way Up with Angela?

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Ye, yeah, everybody is at Friday. I'm so excited. You
know why, because I'm getting out of here.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
Okay. You know, I love my job.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
I love you guys, but I also love not working
for a period of time over the weekend. We'll be
back on Monday, of course, But of course you guys
have a great weekend. Stay safe, stay cool, spread love.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
It's what we do. It's way up
