Okay, I see it's a lot happening in the world.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
But I just got back from Montgomery. I actually went
down to where the brawl was because I was staying
too black.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Oh did you feel some sort of like.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Yeah, there's a lot. Uh, there's a lot of plaques
up there that has history about like the slave trade
and what was going on there. I took some pictures
of it. They actually have the chair there still, the
fold up chair. I'm not kidding you, serious, dead serious.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
It's like they made it to put it in the museum.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Some it's just there and people signed it.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Tang it out. I gotta go there.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
Yeah, we'll talk about all of that, and Ari Lennox
is going to be joining us today. I love Ari Lennox,
so I'm excited that she managed to come through. She
has a new single called Get Close and a video
that's out, but in the meantime, new may No. Let's
get it started with shine a light. Let's pread some
love and positivity. Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one
fifty phenomenal people doing phenomenal things. Let's shine a light.
(01:30):
And speaking of phenomenal people, here is Sizza with Snooze.
Speaker 5 (01:33):
It's way up up, turn your lights on, y'all, so
it's spreading love to those who are doing greatness.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Shine light. It's time to shine a light on them,
all right.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee, and
my guy Mano is here.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
I miss you.
Speaker 6 (01:54):
I missed you too, Man. It's just not the same,
all right.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Well, listen, it's time to shine a light on people
doing positive things. And today I want to shine a light.
And this is an amazing story. I love seeing people
come up with an idea and then actually implementing it
and it being successful. Oliver Zach and his partner. And
you're gonna like this also because this is something that'll
mean a lot to you.
Speaker 7 (02:18):
May.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
He came up with a spot moisturizer for tattoo aftercare.
So he identified that there was a lack of guidance
for tattoo after care and he created a natural and
vegan solution for tattoo healing. It's called mad Rabbit and
they generated nearly three million dollars in revenue within two years.
(02:39):
Then they went on Shark tap and they did some
partnerships with VC Capitalists and now the valuation is fifty
six million dollars.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
And yeah, he started that in his dorm room.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
How long lo did you just love that?
Speaker 2 (02:53):
This was? It wasn't that long ago. It's maybe like
four years ago. Yeah, twenty twenty's at twenty twenty they
went on shark tings. So he had came up out
with that first.
Speaker 6 (03:03):
Yeah, he's right about that aftercare because people you don't know,
people don't know they put the wrong things on. They
put vascaline on their emotion on there, and you shouldn't
put none.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
So that's Oliver Zach and salom Agnatore, that's that's his partner.
He was twenty nineteen, he was a senior in college
and he had gotten a tattoo and he said, for
tattoo scabs are pretty bad. The ink gets lodge in
the scab. When the scab falls up, Your tattoo that
you spent tons of hour and pain and money on
can look pretty rough as soon as we too. So
that's what drew him to formulate that that's dope. All right,
(03:34):
Well that is my shining light. Now, who do you
want to shine a light on? Eight hundred two nine
fifty fifteen to call who do you want to shine
a light on?
Speaker 8 (03:41):
Okay, So I just.

I appreciate you all right. Now, Snoop Dog is giving
up smoking. And this is after I mean, we know
him as a weed enthusiast. He has his own strain
and so now he said, after my consideration and conversation
with my family, I've decided to give up smoke. Please
respect my privacy at this time. But is he It's
like a breakup when they're like, please respect my privacy.
Speaker 6 (05:11):
I'm so much into now about that that I'm like,
maybe you talking about cigarettes and I don't even think
Snoop smokes cigarettes.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Well, listen, Mick Mill said, I'm gonna go to Dubai
and completely stop smoking. I'm gonna follow snoop. My doctor said,
I got a little bit of emphysema in my test.
If I don't stop smoking, it cuts my lifeline in half.
Coy Ler Ray said that she's gonna start giving up
on Monday, thats today, and she said, let's do this,
and so I'm sure he's gonna oh yeah, well yeah,
Monday coming up, and so I'm yeah, let's see what happens.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Wow, I feel good. I never smoked, but maybe.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
He'll still just be doing edibles. And I know he's
definitely had some health issues. People were like, it's not
Apra Fool's day, so wow, all right. Now Swiss Beats
and his son Nuts here. They have a show Drive
with Swiss Beats that permitted on Hulu yesterday. All the
episodes are available. They go to La New York, Houston, Atlanta, Japan,
Saudi Arabia learning about car culture and automobile enthusiasts. And
(06:07):
here is what Swizz had to say while he was
on Yahoo with Garon Flowers.
Speaker 10 (06:12):
You know, we always hear the unfortunate stories of fathers
of color and fathering some relationships of color, and I
feel like this was a great opportunity to put on
the big screen that you know, there's not only negative
stories out there. You know, there are amazing stories, not
only me and I Sirs, but all of the other
great parents that we've seen in this show.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
And your passion and love. That's nice to do that
with your son.
Speaker 11 (06:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
I was supposed to go to that premiere. I didn't
make it.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Your son just had a birthday, right, it's this Tuesday.
I was on Tuesday coming out to see Now y'all
need to show together.
Speaker 6 (06:45):
Yeah, you know, I put him in the show that
we're doing. Okay, I'm going to write to rehearsals after this.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
He's like the opposite of you.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Yeah, he's a better human than me.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
All right.
Speaker 6 (06:55):
Now.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Coach K was recently on No Jumper and he was
was this that No Jumper or did they just post it?
But anyway he was. He was on the Business Untitled
podcast and he was talking about g Z versus jay
Z and who was more relevant and there was a
point he says that j Z was more relevant than
jay Z. Here's what Coach K had to say.
Speaker 12 (07:16):
JZ was probably more relevant than Jay at that point,
I don't know, man, but you're from New York, bro,
Jesus from the South. New York was on him like that,
and the whole South to big pimping, Like the South
wasn't into it's real into big pimping.
Speaker 6 (07:34):
And I do I do feel like in the South, right,
I understand what he's saying, but he's saying that artists
from he always struggled with Southern love, even vice versa, right,
and Jez kind of conquered early he had up here
and down South, Like on his first album.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
No You're Right, he definitely transcended just being like a
Southern artist.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
Jesus had time. J Z Wade was like no other
at this time.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Yeah, so I could see why he would say that,
See we're from Brooklyn.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
Indeed, so we look at it.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
We definitely look at it from a different lens, right,
And yeah, so, but it definitely caused a lot of
I could understand.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
I can understand it.
Speaker 6 (08:14):
I mean, you got you got people up here that
don't understand how and why Gucci Man is huge.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
In the South, right, and and yeah, I mean but
then when they did the verses with Giz and Gucci Man,
you see the impact of.
Speaker 6 (08:29):
G Z tooz had, but it's it's it's a lot
of those artists down.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
There, and I think, yeah, you could be regionally huge.
But then when people go on tour too, that's when
you see if they sell out venues, when they go
to different cities, that's how you really could see the impact.
It's hard for people to come, I think, to New
York and sell out a venue and have people singing
along that and it's a whole different market, like people
could go in the South.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
All guys that was able to do that, and he
did it on his first album.
Speaker 6 (08:57):
Yeah, and I think that's what Coach k is saying,
like at that time, Hove didn't come with Big Pimp
into what that was his third album, I think fourth album, and.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
That really crushed over everywhere.
Speaker 13 (09:06):
Right.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
All right, well that is your yet and when we
come back, we have about last night. That's where we'll
discuss what we did last night. I told you I
was in Montgomery, Alabama, so we're gonna talk about that,
and you were in Massachusetts.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Yeah, plus I was in Arizona.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
All right, well discuss it's way up.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
So about last night. Last night, I went down all.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Right, it's way up at Angela Ye. I'm Angela yee,
and Mana is here point and it's time for about
last night. Now, Mana, we haven't seen you in so long.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
We missed it.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
So what did you do? Yeah?
Speaker 11 (09:38):
I was.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
I was in Arizona, Scottsdale, Phoenix.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
I love Scottsdale.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Shut up them. I love it too. I think they
love me.
Speaker 11 (09:45):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (09:46):
You know we was out there, you know, working the market.
You know, I had a couple of parties. Did the
radio out there. Okay, you know you know you always
come up now my written my interviews as I should,
like this is crazy Now they're like yes on Angela's show,
Mana And everywhere I go people say I love Mino.
Speaker 11 (10:05):
What there?
Speaker 14 (10:06):
Wow?
Speaker 10 (10:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (10:06):
So look there it goes well.
Speaker 15 (10:09):
I was in.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Montgomery, Alabama. I actually was speaking at the lead Speaker
series at Alabama State University as U, and I stayed
at this new hotel that just opened out there, it's
called Trilogy. I really enjoyed it. You know, I got there.
It's like a boutique hotel and it has a rooftop.
It's the only rooftop out there. And so thank you
to everybody at the Trilogy Hotel for taking such great
(10:31):
care of us. And then I also the hotel was
two blocks away from where the Montgomery Montgomery Riverfront Brawl
was up. I pulled up, I went over there.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
I did.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
I went to the river walk and they still have
the chair, the fold up chair, and people have tagged it.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Up and you sign it.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
I did not sign it. I didn't expect that. I
walked down there, I say, is that a fold up chair?
And there's not even behind glass or anything. It's just there.
And there's a lot of history when you go to
the river front, so you can see everything that's happened there,
and so it gives you a lot of information. It
felt like very historical to even be in that space,
you know. So yes, shout out to everybody in Montgomery,
(11:12):
Alabama and an ASU and a Trilogy Hotel. I had
a great time. I'm glad that my flight was late
so I was able to walk around the The airport
there is so small.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
It's like a museum though, right it is. This museum
is like heavywhere yeah, everything it's real. It's about history.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Yeah all right, well that is about last night. And
when we come back, you know what it is tell
us a seat. We really missed you on those because
they've seen a couple even people calling it like, where's mano?
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty call us up?
Tell us a secret. I know y'all got some again.
That's eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. Tell
us a secret's way up?
Speaker 1 (11:52):
This is a judgment freeze all, tell us a secret?
Speaker 2 (11:55):
What's up? Its way up? At? Angela ye, angela yee?
And Mano is here? No missed when you're not gonna
tell us a secret, but thank god you're here today.
Let's see how judgmental you get. Eight hundred and two
nine two fifty one fifty anonymous color tell us a secret.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
Well, the secret is I'm supposed to be getting married
to the woman that EM engaged.
Speaker 15 (12:13):
To, but.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Her sister.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
Yeah, it didn't start out like that, but I mean
it ended up like that.
Speaker 11 (12:23):
I don't really know what it's doing, but how it happened,
not about the.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
Stop, how to happen, not about the stop.
Speaker 4 (12:28):
He's too many girls' nights out and us being left alone.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Too many yeah nights? Oh my gosh, so ship now, man, no,
you better go in on him like you go in
on us. Listen, judgment, hold on, hold on.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
I'm trying to understand what the situation is. So do
you love both of them?
Speaker 11 (12:48):
What the situation is?
Speaker 4 (12:49):
I've always been in love with my fiancee. We've run
together twenty plus years, so that marriage off and on.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
So what I'm gonna tell you that what I'm gonna
tell you is this.
Speaker 6 (12:59):
What I'm gonna tell you is this, right, if she
finds out that you're sleeping with those sister, that's gonna
really crush her. Man, And if you really care about that, man,
you should really rethink that. Now, if you hit her
once or twice and kept it moving, that's you know,
that's something different.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
I mean, that's something different. Like let me ask you said,
still doing okay?
Speaker 4 (13:17):
But here's the crazy part. I've only hit her like
one or twice. But the thing is, whenever I'm around,
she makes it known that that's her intention, and I
just try to blow her off. But I know it's
given a chance and we're by ourselfs just let her
do it.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
So you try to blow her off, but instead you
her off.
Speaker 6 (13:39):
You gotta stop. I'm telling you you gotta stop because
it's what's gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Maybe you shouldn't get married.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Yeah, you're gonna mess up. You're gonna mess it up
with your wife.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
I know they get ready to get married. All right, Well,
no judgment here. Thanks for calling. Hello a Natimus caller.
How are you? I'm fine? Do you want to tell
us a secret?
Speaker 8 (13:58):
Fourteen? I burst the back baby, my last child, and
I was smingling. So I mean, I was, you know, single,
but having sex, and I was doing with people.
Speaker 13 (14:09):
One that who the father really is biologically was married
and he denied the child.
Speaker 8 (14:15):
So I let the other man know that I was
having a baby, and he just fell all in, like
just head first, and he just assumed and just you know.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
He claimed her even after the bird.
Speaker 13 (14:31):
I told him, if it's your child, you're more than
welcome to be a father. If it's not, you still
are welcome to, you know, be her standing dad. You
just have to make sure that you protect her and
care for her if you're biologically her.
Speaker 8 (14:46):
Dad and brother.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
So what does he think that the child is biologically.
Speaker 8 (14:51):
Is he brainwashed himself into thinking that it was.
Speaker 13 (14:55):
His biological child and he kept staying like the day
of the birth like, oh, no, we don't need a
DNA test. I know this is my child, and I'm like,
uh no, I told him.
Speaker 8 (15:10):
I think you should get a DNA test.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
So now the child is nine and.
Speaker 8 (15:18):
Probably two years ago my mom died and that was
when he chose to get a DNA test.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
The Pride when.
Speaker 8 (15:27):
Yep, and he got the test.
Speaker 13 (15:29):
And then he caught me because I was still calling
him for daddy doing these type but this particular time
I caught. The first thing he said was why didn't
you tell me she wasn't mine? But yeah, he found
the secret out himself by doing a private DNA too.
Speaker 8 (15:44):
I ain't like how he played me.
Speaker 7 (15:46):
Yeah, No, for safety reasons, I don't even engage with
him anymore because I feel like it's so delicate it
might make him like pop off or something like that.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
All right, well, praying for you, you and your child.
All right, Well that was tell us a secret eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty just in case
you couldn't get through. And when we come back, we
have yet and you know what, we got to talk
about Ditty and Cassie. And there's a lawsuit that Cassie's
filed Ditty's responded. Cassie has released another statement, will tell
you all about it, all the details that we know,
(16:21):
and all the other stories surrounding this. It's way up
with Angela. Yee yet is next? The holidays are hard enough,
stamps dot Com makes them easier with exclusive rates on
the USPS and UPS services you need. Go to stamps
dot com and use code Angela for a four week trial,
free postage and a digital skill. No long term commitments
(16:42):
or contracts. That's Stamps dot Com Code Angela.
Speaker 11 (16:46):
Yo.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
She's about to blow the lead above this, but let's
get it.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Oh yeah, Now, this is the Diddy and Cassie situation.
Cassie is accusing Diddy of rape in years of abuse. Now,
these documents are very triggering, so there's a warning on them.
But the final according to this filing, she's accusing him
of rape, sex trafficking, and physical abuse. According to the filing,
she claims that he forced her to engage in sex
(17:10):
acts with male sex workers while masturbating and filming these encounters,
forced her to carry a handgun even though she felt
uncomfortable with doing so, and also she claims that did
he plied her with drugs and alcohol, triggering a substance
abuse problem. She also has accusations that he blew up
Kid Cutty's car during Paris Fashion Week because during a
(17:31):
time that they had broken up, she was actually dating
Kid Cutty and when they reunited, allegedly did he found
some emails between Kid Cutty and Cassie got angry about
the prospect until that happened, and Kid Cutty's representatives did
confirm that his car did blow up.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
They say, and did he did it?
Speaker 2 (17:50):
Now, you can't just say that, but they are confirming
what Cassie is accusing. So yes, around that time, his
car exploded in the driveway after he threatened to do that.
So Cassie is looking for thirty million dollars in damages,
plus she wants related attorney's fees and costs now. Since then,
Diddy has released a statement through his reps. His lawyer,
(18:12):
Ben Brafman said, mister Colmbs vehement lee denies these offensive
and outrageous allegations. For the past six months, mister Colmbs
has been subjected to Miss Ventura's persistent demand of thirty
million dollars under the threat of writing a damaging book
about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.
Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Miss Ventura has now resorted
(18:33):
to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies
aiming to tarnish mister Combs's reputation and seeking a paydate. Now.
Cassie has also released a statement in response to why
she's doing that? Because I saw a lot of people
who did not believe her, like, oh, why would she
do this?
Speaker 12 (18:48):
Now?
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Why is she saying this? Well, Cassie is now saying
that she wants to make sure that she stands up
for other people and that she has gotten the strength
to be able to tell her story. Sudden an easy
thing to be able to do, And her assistant said,
her former assistant said, it's all true. I've seen it
with my own eyes as her personal assistant. It was
(19:10):
sad to watch, but I'm happy she is good and
speaking out.
Speaker 6 (19:15):
How is she going to prove this? Like, does she
have evidence? Because she said, for my understanding that she erased.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
The videos, right, Well, I don't. First of all, there
could be witnesses, there could be other people who come forward,
you know, right now as a civil case. But according
to reports Diddy is under investigation by the New York
Police Department in connection to a confidential criminal case. So
there is an active case registered under the name Sean Combs,
and its sensitive nature has resulted in it being locked.
(19:47):
So I don't know if that criminal investigation has to
do with what's happening with Cassie, but a lot of
people have spoken out after that. Now people are also
pulling up previous interviews of first about Diddy's axe Gina.
She spoke I think it was Atasha k And here's
what she had to say about what happened while she
was dating Diddy.
Speaker 14 (20:08):
He had caught me texting another man. We was in
Miami and it got really crazy at that time. We
were in his close and he like pushed me and
I fell to the ground. He like stood over me.
He avoided my face, but he started punching me, like
on the side of my head and I was just
like covering my face. And then after he got done
(20:29):
doing that, he like stomped on my stomach.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
Oh right, And Young Jack also told the story about Cassie.
He told did he tell Cassie to shave her head?
Here's what he said happened.
Speaker 15 (20:43):
Jumped out being Cassie said, he told my wife right here,
Cassie right here, jumped off the ball, came over and said, Yo, tomorrow,
I want you to shave the side of your head.
And so when I'm like, so, when I look up
the s white woman's side of her head with shaves,
I was like, you're not about to do that?
Speaker 3 (20:58):
She said, well, I mean whatever I'm gonna do, all right.
Speaker 11 (21:02):
Now.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
People are also bringing up this old Usher interview when
he was on Howard Stern, And here's what Usher said.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
He went there to.
Speaker 6 (21:09):
See the lifestyle, right and I saw it, but I
don't know if I could indulge and understand what I
was even looking at it.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
It was pretty wild, was there?
Speaker 2 (21:18):
Little Kim Junior seen Mary j Blosh.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
They knowhing about this?
Speaker 2 (21:24):
Fourteen years old, all right, So people are bringing up
all kinds of things.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
A lot happening now.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
I'll be sure actually posted not that long ago, and
you know, I'll be sure. Has his child Quincy, but
Kim Porter and Kim Porter used to day Diddy, and
she has unfortunately passed from pneumonia. A lot of people
were celebrating her in the past couple of days. Also
and here is what I'll be sure had to say.
He's been hospitalized by the way, he was in a coma,
(21:50):
and here's what he posted.
Speaker 16 (21:52):
You can't wait to get fixed before you get up
and win. So what you gotta do is you gotta wind.
You can't wait for them sorry, you can't wait till
the person wants to fix it. You can't wait for
the apology.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
And what they did was wrong, all right. And somebody
said to him, I heard what you didn't say, and
he and he just put an emoji after that because
he did a whole post about this. But we're going
to discuss this more. But in the meantime, when we
come back, that's your eet. We'll have under the radar.
But I just wanted to put that out there. I
am praying for Cassie. She's an amazing, you know, beautiful person,
(22:27):
really sweet. I know her in real life, and so
I know a lot of people have things to say.
But if she's telling her truth, we'll find out soon enough.
But I do feel like, you know, there was always
like this sadness. Really I think around her, and she's
not the type of person that's like trying to get attention.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
I used to be trying to holler at her when
I used to be on the road. You know me,
no like it. I would run into her. We was
on the road, all right, but no.
Speaker 15 (22:51):
No, you know I got a man.
Speaker 14 (22:52):
All right.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Well, anyway, coming up, we have under the radar. But
in the meantime, that's here, so Rihanna Diamonds. It's way
up in the news there.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
It relates to you. These stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
It's way up at Angelaye. I'm Angela yee and Mano
is here. No, man no, I feel like my voice
is coming.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
Back, yes, making a comeback.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
All right, well let's do these under the radar stories.
First of all, let's talk about the Clean Slate Act
that just got signed by Governor Kathy hokel in New York. Now,
Lala was there, and here's what you had to say.
I'm talking about the Clean Slate Acts just so you
guys know what it is.
Speaker 17 (23:29):
Too many formally incarcerated people still face hurdle after hurdle
when trying to restart their lives, whether it's securing stable housing,
a good job, or continuing their education. The stigma of
a criminal record often follows them for life. By providing
true redemption for those who have earned a second chance.
We are investing in public safety and our communities. Because
of your signature on this bill today and the hard
(23:50):
work of the legislator, millions of New Yorkers will get
that fair chance that they deserve.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
Now, what the Clean Slate Act does is it will
sell certain criminal records following a person's release from incarceration.
So eligible misdemeanor convictions will be saled after three years
after release, and eligible felony convictions will be sled after
eight years after release, on the condition that the individual
convicted of the offense has not committed any additional crimes.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
So I can get mind sel. Yes.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
And this actually goes into effect November sixteenth, twenty twenty four.
Speaker 6 (24:23):
So I know the guys that were pushing for this
very early, that was pushing I'm talking about this is
over ten years.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
Well, this will affect millions of people. And it's just
like I told you, I just got my real estate license.
But part of once you get your real estate license,
if you have any type of criminal record, they ask
you that and you have to go through a lot.
You can't just get your real estate license. You actually
have to get a letter, you have.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
To write effect everything, so.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
That'll be an amazing thing. Now, the law does exclude
serious crimes like sex offenses and most Class A felonies,
including murder and arson, and so they want to make
sure they still are dealing with public safety and accountability
for severe crimes. But for eligible crimes, it would be
great for people who have had issues and barriers with
getting into the workplace.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
I think I want to get my minds erased and
then get me get my gun license.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
All right, here you go, Yes, we would love that
for you. All right, Well that is you're under the radar,
and you know we got the way it mix at
the top of the hour. Plus I'm super excited that
Ari Lennox is going to be joining us today. It's
a Friday, and there's some new music today and you
know when we come back, we're also going to talk
about Drake. All right, so get ready to party with us.
It's a Friday. It's way up, just like the Talt.
Speaker 18 (25:40):
Like they Angela Jean like they ANGELI Jee.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
She's spilling it all.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
This is yet way up, all right, it's way up
at Angela Ye. I'm Angela Yee. And Mano is here.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Man I'm back like I never loved baby.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
I know that's right. You got to stop leaving. And
now let's talk about Drake. For All All the Dogs
Scary Hours Edition is officially out six new songs, all right,
that have been tacked onto his album, and you can
see that on streaming services For All the Dog Scary
Hours Edition, and of course he has taking some shots.
Speaker 6 (26:16):
Now.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
I do want to say I say a little TJ
posting about how people will post all his rap. Friends
will post Drake's album and then they don't post his
when it comes out. What do you think about?
Speaker 6 (26:26):
That means I don't got that many friends. And the
ones that I have and the ones that I do
have they my real friends. I don't I'm not looking for,
you know.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
People I know to post because I know there's certain
artists when they have album come out, they DM it
to everybody. They're like, can you please post? That's not
a bad thing, No, it's not a bad thing. Sometimes
you got to ask too, because you just people have
so many things going on they don't even think. Sometimes
you got to just ask me, yo, can you post
this for me?
Speaker 6 (26:51):
Were getting in our way while be thinking, man, you
see my album out, Yeah you didn't see maybe didn't.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
All right, Well, let's talk about some of the people
that Drake is talking about on this album, and there's
a lot of them, all right. So first off, that's
on Red Button. He talks about Taylor Swift. That's the
only person that will make him push his album back
or change his release.
Speaker 6 (27:12):
Tate Taylor Swift, the only that I ever rated. Only
one could make me try to out get just a
little later. Rest of the all I treat you like
they never made it leave your label devastated, even when
you've paid the status period.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
I never hated, even when you stab.
Speaker 6 (27:27):
Me in the bag the vestus metal plated, trying to
see it be inside my circle like I'm getting graded
man on his luggage in the lobby, like I'm getting traded.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Every time you need me for a boost.
Speaker 6 (27:36):
I never hesitated. Every time they easy car the truce,
he had my head inflated, thinking we go finally ciece
it up and get the levitated. Realize that everything premeditated.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Yeah, he did not hesitate on naming names. I like
when Drake is firing, everybody likes that because everybody.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
Is competitive nature I like that he's fires.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Yeah, so let's think about that. I was at the
free Larry Hoover benefit concert that happened that he did
as a favor for with Kanye as a favorite to
j Prince. You know, he didn't hesitate to do those things.
Speaker 12 (28:08):
Now.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
He also has some more things to say about Kanye.
Here is stories about my brother.
Speaker 3 (28:14):
The city don't love you like that and they frying
you up.
Speaker 6 (28:17):
I can't wait for the day that you choose to
retire your stuff taking off a sneakers because you tie
or tying them up. That one day you wake up
and tell them enough, it's enough. That's when you're gonna
find out you're not gonna be prying to us.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
Wow. Well, he also has some shots everybody says about
Joe Button. Here's what he said about Joe Button.
Speaker 6 (28:36):
Imagine, let's get an our validation from an ex musician
searching for recognition.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
Same story.
Speaker 6 (28:41):
Every time they had the little repetition on top of
the mountain. He's still down at base camp. They planning
their expedition, y'all to type to catch a charge head
of the deposition and act like the rapper named after
the sex position.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
Oh my gosh. I wonder if people like when Jake
takes shots at them too. Of course they do, like
they enjoy it, like I'm sorry because it gives them.
Right now you can be like, guess what I want
to renegotiate my contract? Drake took a shot at I'm important,
all right. In addition to that, on Wickman, he talks
about push your tee Man.
Speaker 6 (29:16):
I remember he was joking by some tick tick and
now that rapping brokes.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
The boy is statistic EMPI clips.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
Empty clips and.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
The reason is on the story of Aidan.
Speaker 6 (29:29):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
You know, Push Your t definitely took some shots at
Ovio forty with the tick tick tick so uh.
Speaker 3 (29:36):
And rhy it with see I ain't I ain't catch
that all right?
Speaker 2 (29:39):
Well, of course there's six songs out now for Scary
Hours addition for all the Dogs Scary Hours editions, so
I know you guys are going to be paying attention
to that. You know, it's a Friday, and we always
talk about new music, but we had to give uh.
We had to give Drake his own break because there's
so much going on. And I also want to shout
out to everybody that has loving going to Vegas for
all of these residencies. You know, a du should announce theirs. Clearly,
(30:01):
Usher has been having one of the most amazing runs.
He's the king of Las Vegas right now. But it
looks like Beyonce has been in talks to do her
own residency in Vegas, and so it'll be at the
Las Vegas Sphere. That venue is currently being used by YouTube.
They have a thirty six show residency, and so it
looks like that might be happening, and that'll be exciting.
(30:23):
Can you imagine everybody's going to be going to Vegas?
All right? Well, that is your yet and when we
come back, we have new music Friday. You know, a
lot of new music is out today. We're going to
discuss it. Ari Lennox is going to be joining us later.
She has new music out today also. But in the meantime,
let's throw it back to one of our favorite artists
of all time. Here's Biggie. One More Chance is way upright?
Speaker 5 (30:46):
Everybody since whether it's relationship with career advice, Angela's dropping.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
Facts, this is as ge what's up this way up
with Angela Yee? I'm Angela Yee and Mano is here
and it's time for ask ye. Eight hundred and two
nine two fifty one fifty is the number? Hello? Who's this?
Speaker 11 (31:03):
Hey? How you doing? My name is John Doe.
Speaker 8 (31:05):
Oby mama listening to.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
This all right?
Speaker 2 (31:08):
John Doe?
Speaker 3 (31:09):
You know your voice?
Speaker 2 (31:10):
Call you John Doe? Know what's your question?
Speaker 11 (31:13):
I'm with my baby mama.
Speaker 4 (31:14):
But me and my ex wife just started like back
reconnecting about old memory.
Speaker 11 (31:20):
I love them both.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
Why did you and your ex wife break up? I
was young, dumb? Okay? And does she have a situation?
Does she have a situation right now? Is she with
somebody else?
Speaker 11 (31:33):
She is not? Just got back from Syria?
Speaker 2 (31:37):
Oh wow? And so now if I asked you you
have a choice. You have a child over here with
this woman who you love, but you have your ex
so you have a history with you guys broke up
because you were young and dumb. Who do you feel like?
Is it better match for you?
Speaker 8 (31:50):
Both of them?
Speaker 4 (31:52):
They both of them, and I wish I had it
away besides the lion and cheating. Way to let them
both know that I want them both?
Speaker 3 (32:02):
You do have a way to do that. Brother.
Speaker 6 (32:04):
You just got to sit them both down, right, This
is what you do. You sit them down individually first,
and you tell them how much you love them and
how much you don't want to live this life without them.
You don't want to be on the earth without this person, right,
But then you also tell up exactly what you want.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
Listen, I think that we should be all together. I
don't know about that, and everybody lives in one house.
I'm telling you it works.
Speaker 11 (32:30):
I got the capital.
Speaker 8 (32:31):
They can be done.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
Okay, that can be done. Now we're talking.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
One of them might be like, I'm not doing anything.
Speaker 6 (32:38):
No, if she loves him, if they love him the
way they that he loves them, then listen, it can happen.
Speaker 3 (32:45):
You just gotta be honest about it because the sneaking
around and all that is not gonna work.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
Do they know each other?
Speaker 3 (32:49):
They know about each other.
Speaker 11 (32:51):
This is the worst day I live in the country.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
I think they couldn't.
Speaker 2 (32:56):
That they not say that part.
Speaker 3 (33:02):
Oh wow, ain't first cousins though.
Speaker 11 (33:05):
Right than esus?
Speaker 4 (33:08):
I remember I get somewhere and my ex wife mama
to our function. Oh, I think they cousins.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
So they do know each other.
Speaker 6 (33:18):
They're not first cousins or second cousins. They like long
lost cousins way down like my uncle raised.
Speaker 11 (33:24):
Your daughters from now we could.
Speaker 3 (33:26):
You can make it.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
Have many kids with your ex I do two of them.
I think honesty is always the best policy, and it
may not end up with you being with both of them,
you know the way that you want to, because they're
gonna find out and then now there's children involved, you
have to think about how this could affect family dynamics.
And we respect a man a whole lot more when
he could be honest and tell us what's going on,
(33:48):
so that we have a decision to make. Do I
want to continue like this or do I not?
Speaker 3 (33:53):
I agree, and now I have.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
A decision, so it's on me. We respect that way
more than somebody sneaking around and getting caught.
Speaker 11 (34:00):
What O that makes sense to go back to.
Speaker 3 (34:03):
Yeah, if we both saying the same thing, it's gonna
work out. No, I'm telling you it can work. Try it.
Speaker 6 (34:09):
You could put them both together. Honesty is freedom. You
give them the option to stay or keep it in
the family.
Speaker 14 (34:17):
Right.
Speaker 6 (34:17):
But yeah, but when you tell them listen, just be
very honest man, and you know, take them out and
then you know, introduce them to each other.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
But that's the main thing. When you take away your
power to choose right, hate that right.
Speaker 3 (34:29):
Right, give them the opportunity to choose.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
But John Doe, we wish you luck, all right.
Speaker 11 (34:34):
Thank you, appreciate y'all. Maino, we want to hear from music.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
You got to pay attention. We got some out there
right now, but check this out. Call us back when
it's all three of y'all.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
I just want to say, man, no, if that was
a woman, I was doing the same thing, you would
have judged. I don't judge, Okay, okay, I just want
to put that out there.
Speaker 3 (34:51):
But thank you, John Doe, Thank y'all.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
All right, Well that was ask ye eight hundred two
ninet two fifty one to fifty. In case you couldn't
get through, we are still here to help you out
and you can always leave a message and we'll do
it that way. And when we come back. Ari Lennox
is going to be joining us. We already told you.
She has a new single out today Get close. She's
on tour with Rod Wade. She's going to talk about
all of that. It's way up, y'all, more way up
with what's up. It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm
(35:22):
Angela Yee and Ari Lennox is here.
Speaker 14 (35:24):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
First of all, I'm so hyped to have you on
the show because you if you know me, you know
I love me some Ari Lennox.
Speaker 18 (35:30):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (35:32):
That means so much to me. And you are like
superstar status.
Speaker 18 (35:36):
Oh, thank you, and congratulations for all of your business
endeavors coffee. That's incredible.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
It makes me feel so good because then I tell
you something, You're like, oh my god.
Speaker 18 (35:47):
I mean you've got businesses and that is so inspiring,
Like that's what it's a dream. I'm just really inspired
to hear you killing it.
Speaker 2 (35:55):
I can tell you're a good partner because yes, because
it feels like you would like hype some you did
so amazing.
Speaker 18 (36:04):
Maybe a little too much, yeah, but let's get into it.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
Because they did give me a preview of the new
single get Close and the video, which is very sexy.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
Thank you and I love it.
Speaker 2 (36:16):
Let me ask you, how involved are you as far
as choosing who's going to be the leading person in
your video?
Speaker 18 (36:21):
I always choose them.
Speaker 11 (36:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 18 (36:23):
There's always like an attraction there for sure, but then
it ends after the video.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
Right, I Mean it's good for on camera, but you
can really feel it in.
Speaker 18 (36:31):
That Oh, Yeah. It makes it so much fun and easier,
and it's just like we could go off and be
something and then it's just.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
Like, right, well, thank you so much. Right now, I'm
talking to the amazing Ari Lennox. First of all, congratulations
on it's been over a year since you put out
Age Sex Location, which is an album that I love.
So I have a little game I'm gonna play with you.
Speaker 18 (36:51):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
All right, it's not too crazy though, Okay, okay, all right,
So you get to choose age sex location. I'm gonna
ask you a question from these categories. Okay, age sexy
location pickwin oh sex why? Okay? Nighttime? Morning or afternoon?
What's the best time?
Speaker 18 (37:08):
Oh my goodness, the afternoon, Like we showered already. We uh,
I don't know, the day got started and then it's just.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
Afternoon.
Speaker 8 (37:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
See, I would say night time because I like to
go to sleep after Like, if you don't have anything
to do at night, it's the worst when it's nighttime
and you gotta go do a show, right right?
Speaker 18 (37:27):
Hell yeah, that's the worst. Yeah, the little nap afterwards.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
All right, Age sex location age? What age do men
finally grow up? It's forty three.
Speaker 18 (37:37):
That's like a thing. It's a real google like age
that men mature.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
It's forty three, all right, so some people have a
ways to go, so we give them a pass until
they're forty three.
Speaker 18 (37:46):
No, you still gotta get youores. It just rocks off
sometimes and I gotta have a friend sometime. I mean,
I think that might be the age I finally mature.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
I was devastating when you said you weren't going to
go on tour anymore.
Speaker 18 (38:00):
And this is it when I say that I'd always.
Speaker 2 (38:06):
And then you're now on tour with Rod Waves, So
hows that going? It's hard.
Speaker 18 (38:12):
It is because I'm opening up for young people.
Speaker 2 (38:15):
You know what I realized.
Speaker 18 (38:17):
I think my music is a little too happy, and
I mean, no shade, his is like different. So I
think the people are just like, what the hell is
this happy on here? But the crazy thing is I
can relate to Rod like I'm very emo inside, but
it's weird like when it comes to music, Well, some
of my songs are emo.
Speaker 2 (38:37):
Like express it differently, Yeah, I think I express it differently.
Speaker 18 (38:41):
I wish I could tap in the way he does
and like have such amazing impact in that way of
like we're depressed. People can relate to me in that way.
I think it's very powerful. He's very powerful person. But yeah,
I don't. I'm afraid to dive. I think as deep
as he died into, like his pain, I do feel
(39:03):
like I have walls and guards up. I feel like
if I were to dive too deep, Like you know
how people go low, I'm the person who goes to hell.
Like how I sing about sex, I'm very It's easy
for me. I could be as explicit as I want,
maybe too explicit, but which I enjoy it, thank you.
But then I do know that there's things that you've
gone through. Yes, y'all talk about it first of all,
(39:23):
just that could be too dark sometimes, but I talk
about the dark dark it's right. I'm ready for that.
Speaker 2 (39:29):
And I remember when you did that post about being
sober right for seven months, and then you said it's
okay to get help. So when it came to getting help, like,
what help did you get? What did you mean by that?
Speaker 18 (39:40):
So this app I do is called I Am Sober.
That helps me. It's a community of like other people
that are on the journey too, and it's all kinds
of things people battle with. But also when I was
talking about help specifically, I mean like getting on a flight.
I'm less likely to fly on my own. Sometimes I
have Kamar security guard with me. Sometimes I have a
(40:04):
greeter that helps a lot. They've been really helpful and
calming to me because I get just so anxious at
the airport.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
All right, Ari Lennox is here with us, and you
know what, she has a new single that is out today.
We should play it right now here is get Close,
Arie Lennox. We have more with her when we come back.
It's way up with the Angela.
Speaker 1 (40:21):
Yee yeah, y'all way up?
Speaker 4 (40:25):
Now?
Speaker 2 (40:29):
What's up? Its way up with Angela? And that was
Ari Lennox's new single, Get Close, just came out today
and Ari Lennox is here with me. You did get
rid of your Twitter?
Speaker 14 (40:37):
Right?
Speaker 2 (40:38):
Have you noticed that everybody loved watching everything that you
do on social media because you're very funny.
Speaker 18 (40:46):
You're problematic. That's why I talked too much on Twitter,
but people do. That's almost like delete. I think you're
still deleted.
Speaker 2 (40:53):
I hope.
Speaker 18 (40:54):
I'm trying to make it past the thirty days, so
it's gone forever.
Speaker 2 (40:58):
But how has that helped you?
Speaker 6 (41:00):
You know?
Speaker 2 (41:00):
Just getting rid of that because, like you said, you
feel like sometimes there'll be some backlash over things you said,
but you own it, like after you apologize. Yeah, I've
seen you and you also don't drink anymore, and maybe
sometimes you know, we get a little tipsy because I
know when people come at EAT, I might be more
apt to like say something back if I've been drinking,
and I'm like, what, let me you know.
Speaker 18 (41:20):
It's I don't need to drink though for me to
still want to like clap back, Like if you say something,
I'm just like, why would you say that? Now I
gotta check you. Now, I gotta drag your hell and like, yeah,
you gotta feel what I feel when you try me,
like I'm a human, like I have time today.
Speaker 2 (41:36):
But it's helped you a lot with your anxiety mentally,
just being like I don't even have to see this anymore.
Speaker 18 (41:42):
Yes, deleting it. I'm not looking at the toxic parts
of it, which is just okay, what are they saying
about me? Or or just like you know, some fans
I love them, but some of them they sometimes think
they're helping by you know, being mad at my label,
like why'd you put her on that tour. I'm like,
(42:02):
I asked to be on this stour. Well Rod offered
it to me, but I gladly accepted. This man gave
me a job. He gave me an opportunity to close
out the year with a nice, beautiful employment. Like I
know what I'm doing, Like I know our music is different,
but it's still helping me grow in like so many ways.
And so sometimes I feel like my fans they want
(42:22):
to like baby me and they want me to be
like entitled or I do deal with I struggle with
ego and entitlement, but they want me to be like
I'm too good for something or like I'm not when
it's just like, no, I'm never too good for an
opportunity to grow, an opportunity. This man is selling out Arena's.
(42:43):
It's chilling, like to see all those people in there
and to see how they're chanting his words like so
loudly and emotionally, and it's just like I want to
be able to do that. You know, I know I
can do that and the venues that I'm doing, but yes,
I want to can't to arenas one day.
Speaker 2 (43:02):
Right now I'm talking to the amazing Ari Lennox, Do
you know what you're looking for when it comes to dating. Yeah,
because part of that is doing what you don't want.
Speaker 18 (43:11):
Yes, Okay, someone who is my best friend, I'm their
best friend. We're not giving up, like you make me
want to try and challenge myself in ways I never
have before, Like we're not giving up. And even if
they're not the best communicator, they are open to change,
like they're actively growing. Someone who acknowledges their traumas. There
(43:36):
are stubborn ways like whatever it may be, Like you're
you're actively trying to like you're self aware, you're facing
yourself maybe with a therapist or with a journal or
you know, like just someone who's self aware and doing
the work, healthy, doing the work fine, funny rich.
Speaker 2 (43:55):
Not an upcoming rapper, right, not a rapper. I can't
do it.
Speaker 18 (43:59):
I like to talk now, I like to flirt with them.
There's sometimes I really do like to flirt with but
sex dating. I don't want to rapper. I like, this
may sound weird, but I do like athletes.
Speaker 2 (44:13):
I think, why would that sound weird?
Speaker 18 (44:14):
Because I feel like a groupie or something saying that
I don't know trust me really well?
Speaker 2 (44:20):
Why don't they say hi because you don't check your DMS?
Speaker 7 (44:22):
I do you know what?
Speaker 6 (44:25):
They do?
Speaker 18 (44:25):
Say hi?
Speaker 2 (44:26):
Thank you?
Speaker 18 (44:27):
But then but then after a while it's just like okay,
like when you're gonna ask.
Speaker 3 (44:30):
Me on a date?
Speaker 2 (44:31):
Nothing, maybe because you're not giving the vibe because they.
Speaker 18 (44:35):
Send my ass, like send my ass on a picture?
Speaker 2 (44:41):
Have you ever sent pictures of yourself? Absolutely? The other day.
Speaker 18 (44:45):
It's all I have at this point. I'm sorry. It's
the most it's the most action I'm getting is sending
this ass through the phone. And if there's a scandal,
I'm happy.
Speaker 2 (44:54):
How look right? Look great? Look everything looking good?
Speaker 12 (44:59):
Well?
Speaker 2 (44:59):
Are you letting it? Thank you so much for coming through.
And like I said, I appreciate you. I honestly like
feel like you're so inspirational and so amazing as an
artist and as a person. I just you like everything
about you. What can I say?

Okay, foremost all right.
Speaker 6 (45:55):
You know, his birthday is always around Thanksgiving and I
usually go to La spend it with my daughter.
Speaker 3 (46:02):
I'm thinking, I don't want to have my daughter come here.
Speaker 2 (46:03):
Oh that'll be nice.
Speaker 3 (46:04):
And you want to do Thanksgiving at the house.
Speaker 2 (46:07):
Okay, that's beautiful, we love it all right. Well, I
actually am just gonna see my family. As you can
hear from my voice, I need a rest and relax
and take it easily a little too.

I'm on no sleep right now.
Speaker 2 (46:18):
Yes, I'm with you, So let's make sure we take
care of ourselves. May know, I know you're trying to
hold everybody down, but you got to take care of
you and you guys do the same thing. All right,
this is some self care time. I know it's a
lot of family time. It can be really stressful, but
take care of yourself. And here you are with the
last word, it's way up.
Speaker 9 (46:36):
Well, one time cheated on me with some white chip.
Speaker 11 (46:41):

Speaker 8 (46:42):
I left him alone for a year.
Speaker 13 (46:43):

the other side and he had to come back home
to the mama because he knew where was do that.
I was just calling just to say that my.
Speaker 11 (46:52):

a lot of his money. But by brother, my own
brother hea in this world, he didn't get anything. But
at the same time, I want to break them up,
but I just found out that a year ago we
went to the Detroit Lions game. He played me and
basically hussed me out of fifteen hundred dollars. So what
(47:14):
