You gotta love it. I use a basketball metaphor to
help people. Kobe was in the gym day in and
day out tirelessly, even as a little kid, because he
loved it. Lebron was in the gym day in and
day out as a little kid because he loved it.
Michael Jordan was in the gym every day as a
little kid because he loved it.

So the thing is hip hop and making music and
art is not a stepping stone of other things. It
can be a gateway or a segue into other areas

what's inside of you is affecting what's going on outside
in the world. You gotta know who you are, regardless

It definitely wasn't easy off the rip, but it's something

reasoning behind it. But it's cool to see people accepting
the music now and then you can have those conversations

of like oh this is this does have roots here
and it came from here, and you know what I mean,
because the story about country music isn't it's about people
coming together, you know what I mean. It's actually about
like slaves going into like the Appellations and meeting the
Irish whatever people, the Irish workers, and then they started,

were indentured servants and they were sharing the music together.

it's really music that starts with people coming together. It's
never a music that was like it's our music that
we're taken in all this.

lot of the ideas that I was expressing, or they
could relate to a lot of the ideas that I

both being consummate hustlers, both being really focused on getting

are asking you about longevity, because like you said, you've
been doing this for a long time. You've managed to
stay relevant in the game. You still put out music,
do what you need to do. What would you tell
the younger artists, because it is just the way that
artists development is different nowadays. Putting out music is different nowadays.

What are some things that you would say are some
must when it comes to having longevity.

You gotta love it. I use a basketball metaphor to
help people. Kobe was in the gym day in and
day out tirelessly, even as a little kid, because he
loved it. Lebron was in the gym day in and
day out as a little kid because he loved it.
Michael Jordan was in the gym every day as a
little kid because he loved it.

Steph Curry and the list goes on and on and on.

So the thing is hip hop and making music and
art is not a stepping stone of other things. It
can be a gateway or a segue into other areas
of the business and life and entrepreneurship and all that.
But ultimately, you gotta love it like money is a consequence.
It's like being in the NBA and getting it when
you see people with the champagne and the cigars and

they got the trophy and everybody one. That's a consequence
of putting the work in right, you know what I mean.
So you don't get into this just for the money.
That's gonna be a real tough road to be down.
You gotta really love it. You can't allow the highs
and lows to affect what's going on inside of you,
you know what I mean. You got to make sure
what's inside of you is affecting what's going on outside
in the world. You gotta know who you are, regardless

of the time you are in the period in your career,
