four years old, formerly unhoused, and he now owns a
twenty million dollar trucking company. Oh yes, it's called Sudu.
It's an online marketplace utilizing technology to connect small and
(01:41):
medium sized trucking companies to major corporations.
Speaker 6 (01:45):
So shout out to him.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
By the way, in three years, his company expanded its
network and includes over three hundred thousand trucking companies, with
the focus on minority women and.
Speaker 6 (01:56):
Veteran owned businesses.

that's circulating because of him. So shout out to you,

I want to shine the light on on my girl plan.
I just want to say, she's a terrific girl.
Speaker 8 (02:20):

Uh, she always got my back when I needed yes,
and we're going all four years strong.
Speaker 6 (02:27):
Okay, what is the fort year universary?
Speaker 7 (02:29):

Speaker 4 (02:32):
What's her name? I love that he knows the lama Alana?
Speaker 6 (02:36):
And what's March nineteenth to day you said let's make
it official?
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (02:39):
That's that day, that first day we actually talked.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
Oh cool, okay, all right, from the beginning, it was
all right, well, thank you for Colleen, Thank you you, Hayley.
Speaker 6 (02:53):
How are you?
Speaker 1 (02:54):
I'm well, how are you?
Speaker 6 (02:56):
I'm good? Who do you want to shine a light on.
Speaker 7 (02:58):
All my sisters, our workers at the Genesis House.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
We are a domestic violence and sexual assault victims advocates
and I couldn't do it without them.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
That's important work, for sure.
Speaker 6 (03:10):
What made you get involved with that?
Speaker 7 (03:12):
And I actually went through a similar.
Speaker 5 (03:15):
Situation when I was younger, and I'm just going to.
Speaker 6 (03:18):
Pay it forward.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Okay, beautiful, See that's purpose. Well, we appreciate you. That
work is definitely super important. So thank you for calling
and to yab all right, well, that was shining light.
And when we come back, we have your yeet and
let's set it up with j Cole. People were very
disappointed that he's not joining Drake on all of his
toy days, but we'll tell you why. It's way up
(03:40):
at Angela Yee yeat is next.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
From Industry Shade to all of gos angels.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Feeling that.
Speaker 6 (03:50):
What's up.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
It's way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela ye and
Jasmine Brand is here with me.
Speaker 6 (03:54):
Yes, I'm here listen.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
I'm glad that in a few days we have off
because you hear my voice, guys, but let's get into
some yut now. Ja Cole's manager had to responded to
people who want to know why he's not on all
the dates with Drake on the new tour. Okay, and
according to the tweets, he said, I feel your pain,
but this is not a major city run.
Speaker 6 (04:15):
The run is for secondary markets.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
He said, we don't get to go to those as much,
and we do show and we don't do shows like
how we used to. He's not going to make it
to ZC though, he said, all love to DC, and
then some people asked about other locations and he said,
got to pull back up to some of those markets.
We used to grind through on the come up. Can't
wait to see those cities again. It's been a minute, Okay.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
I kind of like the idea of them doing secondary market.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Right, and I think they also have his dream bill,
and so when the reason why he's not doing North
Carolina is because of that, okay, you know, because it's
also a situation where a lot of times there's a
non competet So can you have a show someplace within
a certain amount of months and a certain distance you
can't do it?
Speaker 6 (04:57):
Okay, you know. So but I know y'all going to pull.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
That means people are going to be buying flights and traveling,
all right, and speaking a show.
Speaker 6 (05:04):
Shout out to Alicia Keys.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Her play Hell's Kitchen has sold out its entire run already.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
Wow, that's major.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
It's running through January fourteenth. Okay, so I don't think
you'll be able to get tickets. But what this means
is it feels like this is going to make it
onto Broadway. And she said, my eyes are definitely on that.
It would be a dream come true because right now
it's at the Public Theater.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
All right, Yeah, we should say on Broadway soon.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
But to see and that's the main thing about Broadway.
They want to see that you could sell those tickets.
You know, you went to your first Broadway play, not
that long.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
I did, had an amazing time, all right.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Now, Hip Boy is talking about buying the house that
he once lost after falling on hard times, and he said,
some of you'all might remember when I went on Academics
podcast and talked about falling on hard times back around
twenty seventeen.
Speaker 6 (05:49):
Crazy how life works.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
I just bought the property in Beverly Hills I was
renting then and couldn't afford at the time, and now
I'm designing my dream estate on it.
Speaker 4 (05:58):
Beautiful.
Speaker 6 (05:59):
We love, love love to see a come up story
like that. Yeah, you know.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
He said that his financial struggles it wasn't because he
was just buying things like Chanel bags. It wasn't because
of foolish investments, but it was because he was spending
a lot of money with his friends and collaborated trying
to uplift them and things spiraled out of control.
Speaker 6 (06:20):
You got to take care of you because you.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Can't take care of anybody else if you're not handling
your own business for yourself.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
And it's also good to learn this lesson early on
in your career as opposed to much later.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
All right, well that is your yet, and when we
come back, we have about last night. That's where we
discussed the things that we did last night and why
it's pertinent and relevant to you.
Speaker 6 (06:38):
It's way up at Angela.
Speaker 8 (06:39):
Ye.
Speaker 6 (06:39):
About last night is next?
Speaker 1 (06:41):
So about last night? Last night? Last night Za went down?
Speaker 6 (06:48):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (06:49):
It's way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela yee, and
Jasmine Brand is here with me.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
I'm here Angela.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Happy Friday Eve, Yes, Happy Friday Eve. And it's time
for about last night.
Speaker 5 (06:58):
Now.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
I went to Alibai because I have to speak at
Alabama State University today, which I'm really excited for. The
only problem I had was there's no direct flight, so
you got to lay over a three and a half
hour layover.
Speaker 4 (07:11):
That's long.
Speaker 6 (07:12):
Yes, it is in Atlanta.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
Well, I mean it's not bad being having a layover
in Atlanta's not so bad.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
Right, So I want to just talk about like that
whole You know, there's times. First of all, I would
take a direct flight over anything at any time. I
don't care if I have to fly coach, you know,
over for if I had to choose between first class
with a layover or coach direct.
Speaker 6 (07:30):
I'm flying coach really absolutely.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
I think when you have a layover, there's too many
chances for things to go wrong.
Speaker 4 (07:37):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
You know, one flight gets delayed, the mission, next flight
it's over with, or you're running from one flight to
the other, or the other second flight gets canceled. Anything
could happen. Your bags get lost while they're getting transferred.
But they are saying that this Thanksgiving is going to
be like the busiest travel day I know. So I
just want to tell people while we were both in
(07:58):
the airport, you went back to DC. They're saying that
there's also according to reports, there's a storm that also
could rehavoc for millions. So I'm just doing the service
of letting you guys know if you are planning to travel.
I missed a flight last year around this time because
the airport was so crowded, and I did not anticipate
(08:20):
how crowded it would be, And so I just want
to give.
Speaker 6 (08:23):
You guys a heads up.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
I know people are going to be going to see
family doing different things, and it also is making sure
you're prepared when it comes to renting a car, when
it comes to taking a bus, but anything that you're doing,
just be prepared to know that the weather could be
a little iffy. They're saying there's storms from the central
United States towards the east and yeah, so all kinds
(08:44):
of things.
Speaker 4 (08:44):
So I'm nervous now. I was thinking about flying. Now
I'm kind of nervous.
Speaker 6 (08:48):
Well, you know, just be prepared. Just know, watch the weather.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
And I think that's at any point when it's the
holidays and there's a lot more heavy travel that's happening.
I just want to point that out to you guys,
because it's been a little bit crazy and the airport
flights have been expensive. You know, as we've learned, the
best day to buy flights is on a Tuesday, So
they say, and make sure if you're going to be traveling,
sign up for those frequent Flyer miles and points and
(09:14):
things like that. Yeah, because at some point it's going
to add up to a free flight and a lot
of times those points don't expire.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
Yeah, and pack your patients, right.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
Yeah, pack your patients. I remember, be courteous because there
are people who are going through a lot. There's people
who are working we appreciate people who didn't call out sick, yeah,
and who came to work to help us out.
Speaker 6 (09:31):
So I just want to put that out there. That
is about last night.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
All right, when we come back, I want to talk
about staying young as long as possible.
Speaker 4 (09:39):
I want to stay young.
Speaker 6 (09:40):
Okay, Well what would you be willing to do for that?
Speaker 3 (09:43):
And we'll discuss a very controversial tech millionaire who says
his father, who is seventy, is now biologically forty six
because of injections of his super blood. All right, so
you want to stay young? Would you do that? It's
the way up at the Angela Yee. We'll discuss it
when we come back.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
Yeah, y'all more way up with angelay on now.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
It is what's up his way up at the Angela Yee.
I'm Angela Yee and Jasmine brand is here. I'm here
and we were just talking about this really controversial situation.
There's a tech millionaire. He gave his father his superblood
and now he says his father, who is seventy, is
biologically forty six. Brian Johnson said he slowed down his
(10:27):
father's rate of aging using this superblood, And yeah, would
you do that?
Speaker 4 (10:33):
I don't know enough about it, and I feel like
if more people were doing it, and people have been
doing it for a few years, I might consider it.
I want to be a little younger.
Speaker 6 (10:41):
He gave him one leader of his plasma.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
He's like a lot and one leader.
Speaker 8 (10:46):
Like.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
But people donate blood all the time, so we don't
know like the truth of this. But I was just
thinking about how people are so focused on, like staying young,
and when you're young, you think somebody who's like in
their forties is so old, right, and then you get
into your thirties and you're like, oh, it's not that old.
I also was thinking about how when I was younger,
life kind of feels better now house because like, I'm
(11:10):
able to do a lot more. I have fun when
I was young and broke, Yes, those were enjoyable times.
I'm not going to act like they weren't.
Speaker 6 (11:16):
I learned a lot. I was very resourceful.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Me and all my friends were struggling to make it,
but we had a great time doing it.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
I was more careful you when I was younger.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Right now, there's a lot more responsibility. There's a lot
of people who are relying on us. You have your daughter,
you didn't have that when.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
You were younger, responsible for another human being. Also, I
feel more anxious as I get older, like I would
didn't really worry like that when I was younger.
Speaker 6 (11:39):
I did a deep dive.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
Of course you did ten good things about getting older, Okay, Okay,
so let me give them to you, guys.
Speaker 6 (11:47):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
Being less emotional and more thoughtful with decisions okay, because
I would.
Speaker 6 (11:52):
Definitely be irrational as a kid.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
I'm not sweating the small stuff anymore, going shopping for
what you need in your favorite store.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
That's you, Angela.
Speaker 6 (12:02):
And we have a lot of stuff that we've accumulated.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
Being kinder to yourself and not judging yourself as much
because you've lived a life already, yeah, you know, liking
yourself more.
Speaker 6 (12:12):
Sometimes we could be a lot more.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
Insecure when we're younger, okay, And trying to keep up
with things, having some good.
Speaker 6 (12:18):
Stories to tell. Yes, we've got some stories.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
We do have some.
Speaker 6 (12:22):
Also, being smarter.
Speaker 3 (12:24):
Yeah, And I think as you get older, you should
always be making sure you're working on yourself, even if
it means like educating yourself on more things, getting certified
and more things.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
I mean, you have more life experiences, so you have
more more tools as well.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
You know, I think the key is to grow old
gracefully and get more wisdom the older that you get.
And when we come back, we have your yeet and
let's talk about Jennifer Hudson, Chance the Rapper and Quincy Jones.
What are those three people working on? It's way up
at the Angela Yee, yea.
Speaker 6 (12:50):
T is next.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
About this, but let's get it.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
Angela's feeling that yea te Come and get the tea.
Speaker 3 (12:59):
What's up? Yeah at Angela yee. I'm Angela yee. And
Jasmine brand is here with me.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
Yes, I'm here.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
And let's get into some ut and you know what,
let's take it to Chicago. Okay, all right, So first
good news are bad news? Good news, all right, Shout
out to Jennifer Hudson, Chance the Rapper, Quincy Jones.
Speaker 6 (13:14):
They have teamed up.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
They're going to reopen and revitalize the Ramova Theater that's
on the south Side neighborhood of Bridgeport. It's been dormant
for nearly forty years. So right now they are co
owners and they're going to reopen in the fall. It's
going to be a fifteen hundred capacity live music venue
with a grill of beer garden and a brewery in
(13:36):
partnership with Other Half Brewing.
Speaker 4 (13:37):
Okay, that's dope. I like that.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
Yes, I feel like we're gonna definitely make our way there.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
So next falls when it's gopoed to be.
Speaker 6 (13:44):
Opening, Yes, indeed, And you know I love going to Chicago.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
Chance the Rappers says Chicago will always be part of
who I am. I joined the team at Ramoma to
get back to the city that's given me so much
and to provide a stage to showcase the incredible talent
in Chicago has to offer. Okay, all right, so shout
out to them.
Speaker 10 (14:00):
Now.
Speaker 6 (14:00):
Kicky Palmer is also from Chicago. She is.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
And there was a leaked like six minute phone call
that came the full audio. Kicky Palmer's mother was going
off on her I guess x now Darius Jackson and
there were some parts in there about Usher that everybody
was talking about.
Speaker 6 (14:19):
Here is what was said.
Speaker 10 (14:23):
Problem, you talk about my daughter. You won't arrest my daughter.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
You want talk about thumps up his game.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
She's a mom. She has to put some clothes on.
Speaker 11 (14:40):
Now.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
Kiki's mother left a comment on the neighborhood talk and
said the lie I told about Usher was to get
Darius to stop abusing my daughter on account of his jealousy.
So I said he didn't like women, for her safety
everything else, I met with my chest and didn't expect
anyone to hear it because recording me is illegal.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
How did Usher catch this stray? I know he like
getting it well.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
Because again when she was concert at the concert, and
I'm sure she feels terrible.
Speaker 4 (15:05):
Yeah, that's embarrassing to First of all, no one wants
their private conversation to be aired out and it is illegal.
But yeah, poor Usher.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
Yeah, he's just trying to embarrass her by putting that
out of course. All right, well that is your yet
and when we come back, we have under the radar.
These are the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines.
They are flying under the radar, but they are just
as important. It's way up with Angela Ye. Under the
radar is.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Next news news. This in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
What's up his way up at Angela Yee? I'm Angela
Yee and Jasmine Brand is here with me? Yes, all right,
And let's get into some under the radar stories. Now,
imagine you won a two billion dollar powerball jackpot, but
somebody was trying to say the ticket was stolen from them. Well,
that's what happened with Edwin Castro. But fortunately his lawyer
has clear things up. Reviewed he reportedly viewed footage of
(15:57):
his client buying that tickets. The legal battle was dragging
on over who was the rightful owner. Now he won
the money after buying the ticket last November. But then
another man, Jose Rivera, came forward and said that he
actually purchased that ticket from a store in California before
it was stolen from him by his landlord and then
somehow ended up in Castro's hands. But they do have
(16:19):
video footage showing that he did actually go in and
buy the ticket.
Speaker 4 (16:23):
I wonder if they didn't have a footage, we still
have a case.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
That's a hard thing to prove. Yeah, okay, that's a
hard thing to prove. So now you know he's being
charged with filing a false police report, because what a
waste of time. So he'll be arranged on December first,
all right, all right, and the fire festival, let's talk
about that. Did you realize that the Fire Festival just happened.
Speaker 4 (16:44):
I didn't know that, all right.
Speaker 6 (16:46):
So Billy McFarlane, oh bully, Yes.
Speaker 3 (16:49):
Just a couple of days ago, took a group of
about seventy five of the first people to buy tickets
for his do over event, Fire Festival Too, to an
airfield in Orange County, New York. He put them on
private planes to experience weightlessness, and I guess he said,
you know, that's part of his plan of the package deal.
(17:10):
I want my money back. Ye would too, I would
want my money back. And so what's interesting enough, though,
is that a lot of people who bought tickets were
willing to try.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
To get in credit and you know, come back from this, yes.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
Not get their money back and try again. But he
said they are going to be doing pop ups and
events across the world, and he said the first release
of one hundred tickets had already sold out.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
All right, well, good luck. I wouldn't do it again.
Speaker 6 (17:35):
Maybe people want to do it just for instagramable moment.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Yeah, it's something. It's content for sure, all right.
Speaker 6 (17:40):
Well that is your under the radar.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
Now we do have Ayana van Zant joining us today
and from what I'm hearing Jasmine, she says, you are
a hoot.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
Oh okay, all right.
Speaker 3 (17:50):
We also got the way mixed. At the top of
the hour, it's way up at angela Ye. She's like
to like they Angela Jean, like they Angela.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
Jee and she's spilling it all. This is yeaty, Well.
Speaker 6 (18:04):
What's up? Its way up at angela Ye, angela Ye.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
And Jasmine brand is here and let's get into some yet. Now,
there's been a lot of controversy over this interview that
Tasha Kay did with brother Blao.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
His brother Blao is the brother part is a little different.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
Well, you know, sis to Jasmine. So if you don't recall,
here is that interview.
Speaker 9 (18:25):
I opened the door to dwayne dressing room and that's
when I see Dwayne and having anal sex with Will.
There was a couch and Will was over on the
couch and Dwayne was standing up killing him.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
Well, Jada Pinkett Smith has already said that they're planning
to sue Well now, according to sources familiar with the situation, they.
Speaker 6 (18:45):
Tell TMZ that Dwayne Martin is not going.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
To publicly respond to the claim because the allegations are
so ridiculous. So he will not dignify that with a respond. Okay,
all right, so we'll see what happens with this lawsuit with.
Speaker 6 (18:58):
You know anything.
Speaker 3 (18:59):
But Will Smith's team denied the allegations, saying that it's
completely fabricated and the claim is unequivocally false.
Speaker 4 (19:05):
So is it like his word against theirs?
Speaker 6 (19:08):
Now, I think we'll see what happens with the lawsuits.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
So if it really is something that's not true, you know,
it's defamation and so yes, but right now, people enjoy Yeah,
I enjoy it.
Speaker 6 (19:19):
Yeah, people enjoy just I enjoy.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
People get it out of it, but I enjoy mess.
Sometimes I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
Yeah, I mean clearly a lot of people do. That's
why it's making the rounds the way that it is.
I was surprised that Will Smith responded, Yeah, I was
too that they released the statement.
Speaker 4 (19:34):
Well, I mean, and the thing is Jada was going
to be asked about it multiple times that she's promote
her books, so they kind of had to anyway.
Speaker 6 (19:40):
Yeah, because I saw Data respond a couple of times.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
Already, we sue it, all right, and you know, The
Officer is one of my favorite shows. Well, Steve Carell
is going to be making his Broadway debut. Nice and
Uncle Ban. Yeah, and so I'm excited for that. Now
that is going to start previews April second next year,
and it will open April twenty four US.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
So, I know. We talk a lot about plays up here.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
We talked about Alicia Keys and how her plays already
sold out. It's not on Broadway yet, but I have
a feeling that it is going to.
Speaker 6 (20:09):
Make it there.
Speaker 4 (20:09):
And I love the office fy.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
Yeah, so I feel like we might want to go
see that. I was thinking that too, all right, And
let's debunk a rumor.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
Rode Wave.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
They were saying that over two hundred cars got broken
into at his concert in DC.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
You live in DC, I love DC?
Speaker 6 (20:24):
All right.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
Well, reports are saying that it's not true. It was
nowhere near the two hundred cars that were requireless and
people like blew it up out of proportion. They said
there were only four reports.
Speaker 4 (20:35):
Oh that's not bad.
Speaker 6 (20:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
I don't know where this story came from, but somebody
said it was two hundred and thirty two cars that
got broken into.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
I will say, in DC there has been an increase
in carjackings, so it's not far fetched that you know, well,
it's not a car jacking. They're just breaking into cars.
So they've been they've been carjacking and they've been breaking
the cars. Yeah, they've been taking pieces and it's been
a whole thing.
Speaker 6 (20:56):
So you know what.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
The first time when I was in college, the first
time I was with my best friendly drove to how
It's Homecoming, her car got broken into.
Speaker 4 (21:05):
I mean it was how It's home Coming.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
Yeah, but a lot of people's cars got broken into
during that time, so I was like, this has happened.
Speaker 6 (21:12):
That's the worst feeling. I got my car broken into once.
Speaker 4 (21:15):
It's such an invasion.
Speaker 6 (21:16):
I cried, did you I did.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
I was a lot younger, but I cried, all right,
well that is your yet, and when we come back,
we have asked yee. Eight hundred two ninety two fifty
one fifty is a number any question you have. We're
here to help. It's way out.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
Everybody since whether it's relationship or career advice, Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
You should know. This is ask gee, what's up its way?
Speaker 3 (21:37):
But Angela Gee, I'm Angela Gee, and Jasmine Brand is
here with me, and it's time for you guys to
call in and let us know any question that you have.
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty is a number. Hey, Jordan,
how are you?
Speaker 8 (21:48):
I'm good?
Speaker 7 (21:49):
How are you?
Speaker 6 (21:49):
I'm good? Thank you. Jazzon's here and we would love
to know what your question is.
Speaker 8 (21:53):
I'm currently unhappy with where I'm working. Pay isn't great,
the hours are really long, and it's a really poor
work life bound Okay, so I've started to look elsewhere,
applying doing some interviews. I was wondering any advice in
terms of granting myself to other companies, but also just
maintaining that focus where I currently am to.
Speaker 7 (22:14):
Not go off the rail.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
Listen, I've had these experiences myself, so I cannot wait
to talk to you about this. But as far as
where you are currently right, no matter what you're doing,
you never know who's watching. So when you have a job,
even though you may not be happy there and ready
to leave, you can never act like that. You still
have to show up and do what you're supposed to
do to the best of your ability, because the worst
thing you want to do is having work somewhere. I
(22:36):
don't know how long you've been there, but you don't
want to burn a bridge when you know you're on
the way out right, and so knowing that you have
this plan and a plan is good because let me
tell you something, there's people who will be at a
job that they hate and complain, complain, complain, but don't
do anything about it. So I commend you for knowing
that your time is up yep, and you got to
look for something else and keeping that in mind.
Speaker 6 (22:57):
One day you won't be here anymore.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
But you also, I don't know if somebody else in
another department is paying attention to how you are. You
don't know where anybody else might land later. So you
don't want to burn the bridge and you know, set
everything on fire. You just want to make sure you
still show up, do your job, mind your business, go home,
and always stay on the lookout for what's next, because
you also don't know someone's going to reach out for
(23:19):
a potential employment, and you don't want people to say
negative things about you.
Speaker 8 (23:24):
Absolutely all right.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Now, as far as looking for another job, the first
thing is the impression that you make when you walk
in that room. How you're dressed, yes, all right, make
sure that you look the part, make sure that you
get there early. You don't want to be rushing. You
don't want to feel frazzled. Do you want to be
nice and calm. So give yourself time so that even
if you're running late, you're still going to be early.
(23:45):
And practice, you know, think about all the questions that
you know they always ask on an interview. Do your
research on the company, so make sure that you have
questions that you can ask too. That way, it does
show that you came in prepared, you know, about the company.
If you could even search the person who's interviewing you,
so that you have some type of connection like, oh,
you know, I saw that you went to whatever whatever
school you know, I went there also, or whatever whatever
(24:08):
it is to make some type of personal connection I
think helps, but also to show that you cared enough
to research the company, because a lot of times they'll
ask you, do you have any questions for me?
Speaker 4 (24:17):
Right?
Speaker 3 (24:17):
And you shouldn't just be like no, you should be like,
you know, I was wondering. I know you guys are
heading in this direction and with certain challenge. What is
it that you know? Whatever it is, just make sure
you do your research. And when I say practice, it's
good for you to think about questions that they're going
to ask you, but don't seem rehearsed.
Speaker 8 (24:34):
Yeah, completely understand.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
And then afterward follow up. You know, even if it's
a thank you card. People don't normally take the time
to do those things, but after the interview, you know,
just send out a thank you card.
Speaker 6 (24:46):
Thank you for your time.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
I really, you know, enjoyed sitting down with you and
hope to hear from you soon. Whatever it is, send
a thank you for their time, express your interests, say
that this is something that you know you would really
like to be there, and if they need any additional
inform make sure they have your best contact.
Speaker 8 (25:02):
Absolutely and even just sort of keep that my my
impression impression in their mind for sure.
Speaker 4 (25:07):
Yeah, well a little industry are you are you in?
Are you looking to.
Speaker 8 (25:10):
Get in entertainment industry?
Speaker 3 (25:13):
Keep in mind a salary, do your research on that too,
so that if they ask you what your expectations are,
you know what the range is, because you know, sometimes
they want to know, like, well, you know, if we
do have something available, what are your expectations, So just
make sure you're prepared for anything they could potentially ask you.
Speaker 8 (25:29):
Yes, Stefane, you don't want to shoot too high or
shoot too low depending on where their head is at.
Speaker 6 (25:34):
And remember everything's negotiable.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
All right, well, I wish you so much luck and again,
don't burn that bridge for where you're at right now
if you.
Speaker 6 (25:42):
Can help it.
Speaker 8 (25:42):
Absolutely, thank you so much for taking Michael.
Speaker 3 (25:45):
Of course you're going to send us a thank you letter. No,
thank you, Jordan, good luck. All right, Well, that.
Speaker 6 (25:50):
Was ask ye.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
Eight hundred two nine fifty one fifty is a number
in case you couldn't get through and you want to
leave a message. We still will answer your questions that way,
and when we come back speaking to people giving advice
and answering questions.
Speaker 6 (26:02):
Ayalla van Zant is here to help you. Belove it.
It's where you put Angela Yee.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
Yes, and let's kid it. Let's go.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
Well with Angela ye is back to set off your workday.
Speaker 6 (26:14):
What's up? It's where you put Angela Yee.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
I'm Angela Yee and Jasmine brand is here with me, yes,
and we have the amazing Ayalla van Zant here with us, and.
Speaker 6 (26:24):
Listen, listen.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
I know that season two of your podcasts is starting now.
I want to ask you this because you said this
new season is going to be focused on men, yes,
right when it comes to relationships.
Speaker 6 (26:35):
I did a podcast last night shout out to math.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
How from my expert opinion, the men in the room
are saying that sometimes they don't feel safe expressing themselves
around women being able to be vulnerable.
Speaker 11 (26:47):
None of us, men or women, we haven't been trained.
We don't have the skills and the tools required to
really sustain and maintain relationships in the way the world
is today. But the other thing is men are just
not emotionally solid. They haven't done the work. A lot
of them were raised by mothers who were not emotionally solid.
(27:10):
Sorry moms, I've raised the son too. A lot of
them were been traumatized and never taught how to process it,
and so they're not safe. And you know, women today
are a lot more aggressive in our approach to life
in general, and we've done more work than them. So
we have some things that are solid that they don't,
(27:33):
and they've got to catch up.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
Now, what do you mean by we're more aggressive women today?
And why do you think that is?
Speaker 11 (27:39):
We have become what I call men in skirts. We
are so aggressive, so demanding, so unaware. Really we think
we got it going on, but women really aren't aware
of their power, because our power as women is silent.
Speaker 10 (27:56):
If you really know what you're doing, you can work
a room.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
Yeah, I've been told I'm BOSSI in relationships we are.
Speaker 11 (28:07):
We are because I think we've been left alone and
up to our own devices for too long. I find
women to be mean as hell.
Speaker 4 (28:17):
I'm sorry, really, Oh my gosh, I mean, oh yes,
are you mean a little bit? Yeah, you're more passive.
You'll be mean on the inside and not say and
I'll say hey or.
Speaker 10 (28:30):
But see, I'm an outful woman. I'm straightforward too, but
I'm not mean.
Speaker 4 (28:34):
Okay, do you are you aggressive?
Speaker 10 (28:36):
No, I'm assertive aggression.
Speaker 4 (28:38):
What's the difference?
Speaker 11 (28:39):
First of all, your intention okay, an assertiveness it's about
dominion and accomplishing a particular thing, and aggressive it's about
control and getting what you're going forward. And there's a difference.
One comes from the head. One comes from the heart,
A searching comes from the heart. Aggression comes from the head,
and it's ego and control. And women today I find
(29:01):
are extremely aggressive, unloving and.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
Mean as hell. Right now we are talking to Ayala
van ZANDT. Before we get too deep into that, I
do want to bring up one topic you had on
your page, which is about women proposing to men.
Speaker 6 (29:15):
Also question.
Speaker 4 (29:18):
I know, so I want to talk about it now
because you know we're so aggressive.
Speaker 11 (29:22):
Yeah, personally, if I were in the marrying realm today,
I wouldn't have a problem asking. Here's why I've heard
of from too many women who've waited five, seven, ten years.
And then he goes off with Kafada and has six
kids and there with the dress in the box, and
he don't ask them.
Speaker 6 (29:42):
You know, can you see yourself asking no for somebody's hand.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
I would feel like I am into him more than
he is into me.
Speaker 10 (29:51):
What if he just has poor communication skills?
Speaker 4 (29:54):
If he has poor communication skills, I feel like we
have a conversation, like I want to get married. What
are you thinking about saying that?
Speaker 11 (29:59):
I think you thought I was talking about get down
on why you know, just bringing up the conversation, No, just.
Speaker 4 (30:05):
Bringing up to talk about anything. I feel like, but
I don't. I'm not okay with proposing.
Speaker 3 (30:10):
I feel like if you're sleeping with somebody, you can
pretty much have a conversation about anything, Like I should
be able to ask you anything or talk about the future.
Because sleeping with somebody could mean a future together, whether
or not it's intentional or not.
Speaker 11 (30:23):
That's true.
Speaker 7 (30:24):
True.
Speaker 11 (30:24):
Here's the problem that I'm having. I think we're sleeping
with these men much too soon, and then we get
upset when they don't honor and respect us. But you know,
for me, she who has the Madam rules, So I
got the Madam?
Speaker 4 (30:37):
What's appropriate time frame to give away the Madam?
Speaker 11 (30:40):
Likeway, I'm going to invite you to worship in her temple,
this church?
Speaker 10 (30:49):
No, this is this is sacred life, sacred living.
Speaker 6 (30:53):
Right, you tied to the matter.
Speaker 4 (30:54):
What's the appropriate I.
Speaker 11 (30:56):
Say between ninety and one hundred and twenty days because
you're going to see the truth, because that's how a
lot of us are getting snapped up and beat up
in two months and they see if you wasn't giving
them the Madam and he wasn't serious, he wouldn't be around.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
All right, Ayana van Zane is here with me and
Jasmine Brand and we have a lot more questions because
we have relationship issues.
Speaker 5 (31:17):
All right.
Speaker 6 (31:18):
We got more with her when we come back. It's
way up at Angela.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
Yee, yeah, yeah, more way up with Angela. On Now.
Speaker 6 (31:27):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (31:28):
It's way up at Angela Yee, I'm Angela Yee. Jasmine
Brand is here and so is Ayana van Zan. Now
I want to ask you this as we're talking about
men in relationships on this new season of your podcast
here at iHeart. One of the big topics is always
about infidelity, right, and you've discussed this too on your
page Healing from Infidelity. But a lot of times men
(31:48):
don't equate infidelity with whether or not they love the
person who they're with. All right, So is it possible
to say I love this person, I'm in love with
this person, yet still be cheating.
Speaker 11 (32:00):
It is, and it's really a matter of integrity. Is
this a man who's gonna honor his word, honor his commitments.
For me, it's not so much the cheating the act,
the physical act of being intimate with someone else. What
scares me is the fact that you lie, and that
you can look me in my face and lie.
Speaker 10 (32:19):
Now, that scares me. Okay, I don't like that part
of it, because you can take.
Speaker 11 (32:23):
Your little weenie and watch it all.
Speaker 10 (32:27):
Plus some paroxide on that.
Speaker 6 (32:28):
Suckeroxide don't do that.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
I never heard that.
Speaker 6 (32:34):
Well, whatoxide cleans up in section? I know?
Speaker 4 (32:37):
Yeah, I know, some peroxide on me.
Speaker 6 (32:39):
You might gotta go get some penicilina.
Speaker 11 (32:43):
But the fact that you could look me in my
eye and lie to me is a betrayal of my heart.
Speaker 10 (32:50):
How do you live with yourself?
Speaker 7 (32:52):
You know?
Speaker 10 (32:53):
The exciting thing that I've discovered, this is really exciting
for me. A women cheat.
Speaker 6 (32:57):
Too, They be out cheating.
Speaker 7 (33:00):
Have I have?
Speaker 4 (33:02):
And did you lie about it too?
Speaker 3 (33:04):
Yeah? Oh my god, I am you've cheated before?
Speaker 4 (33:11):
I forgot because the way she just looked at me,
she looked at me like she never cheated.
Speaker 6 (33:19):
I forgot that.
Speaker 4 (33:22):
Looked at her like I just forget.
Speaker 10 (33:26):
But I didn't lie.
Speaker 11 (33:27):
Okay, where you've been I slept with my man?
Speaker 1 (33:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (33:33):
I did not lie.
Speaker 4 (33:35):
I didn't Angela. Have you cheated before? Did you tell?
Speaker 5 (33:39):
Well?
Speaker 6 (33:39):
No, I did not.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
But I will say this. When I cheated, it's because
the relationship is already over.
Speaker 6 (33:44):
I just mean, well, they don't know I didn't end yet,
but they don't.
Speaker 7 (33:49):
Yeah, they don't know.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
I cut him cheated and after that I knew I
was going to break up. And sometimes it takes me
a minute to do that. Like you'll be with somebody
still and.
Speaker 4 (33:59):
Women will check out way before I.
Speaker 6 (34:01):
Don't found email.
Speaker 10 (34:03):
Yeah, we just don't pay attention.
Speaker 11 (34:05):
Maybe might be right, but they've checked out. But we're
so busy doing whatever we're doing. But so the whole
cheating thing for me is the breach of trust. Right
now we are talking to Aya la Vanzan. How do
you heal from that?
Speaker 5 (34:20):
Though?
Speaker 6 (34:20):
What are some things that you would tell people?
Speaker 3 (34:21):
Maybe they are working on getting things back on track,
but there's a lot of triggers that can happen. There's
a lot of where you're going, a lot of questions
that are asked, like a hundred times over and over again,
a lot of explaining that has to be done, you know,
and sometimes you have to put that work in and
you just have to accept that if you've cheated. But
then sometimes guys feel like, ah, I can't do this anymore.
(34:43):
This is what this is, what this is going to
be like, Well.
Speaker 11 (34:46):
It takes a moment to get over it. But if
you're going to stay, stay, and if you're not going
to stay, then go. You can't beat him up all
the time. You just can't a human mind, you just
can't take that. Yeah, and if he's.
Speaker 10 (34:59):
Knock on the stay or you don't want to stay
with it, let him go.
Speaker 6 (35:03):
Are you enjoying and loving this season of your life?
Speaker 11 (35:05):
Yeah, it's not dramatic.
Speaker 6 (35:12):
I look at it. I feel good.
Speaker 10 (35:15):
But I tell you what is so I don't know
what the word is. Let me that's the word.
Speaker 6 (35:22):
I'm like.
Speaker 11 (35:23):
What I got it the depth and level of respect
and regard that I get in the world from the
thirty eight years of consistent work that I've done.
Speaker 10 (35:35):
I mean, I've seen some of.
Speaker 11 (35:37):
The hard hardest, hardcore foul mouth beasts, but when they
see me Auntie, you know, miss miss IAmA or whatever
they're calling me. Yeah, so that is so exciting and
you'll excite me.
Speaker 6 (35:53):
Well, listen, you are definitely legendary.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
You deserve all of the accolades that you get because
you have moments that are going to live on forever.
Speaker 6 (36:01):

Speaker 11 (36:04):

Speaker 5 (37:06):
Recently, I just lost sixty time. The problem is so
found so much right, I have like a lot of
XS skin and I'm supposed to be getting blues out
for the first time in life, and I'm just so
scared what the guy's gonna say. I don't know if
(37:28):
I'm supposed to tell him now, Please.
Speaker 7 (37:31):
So Hey, Angela and Jasmine. It's Eric from Jersey. I'm
gonna try to lay on my girlfriend. Her name is Tania.
Her birthday was on Tuesday, November the fourteenth, when we
got back from Miami. We had a great time, so
shout out to her. She's twenty six now dot you hello.
Speaker 5 (37:50):
My secret is I'm a guy and I have a
lot of.
Speaker 8 (37:54):
Sugar dog.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
Going way out I was with Angela. Are you
