Speaker 3 (05:03):
Lauren Hill, speaking of addressing things, went on stage. She
was a little bit late in la And here's what
you have to say to people who have things to
say about her being late late.

Speaker 7 (05:13):
She's latest.

Speaker 9 (05:15):
You'll don't I'm making this blot on stage.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Because because I listen, Like I said, it don't matter.
People still going to the shows. They're still selling out,
So it is what it is. You just gotta know,
maybe she's gonna be late and.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
I mean at this point you have to just expect
that if you're going to see Laurence, she's gonna be late.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Get you some question, get you some coffee, uplifts people,
and get ready.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
Right, the question is how late.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Late?

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Yeah, and it doesn't and you know what, it don't
even matter. People are still gonna go the still shows
are still going to sell out, and people still going
to walk away like that was amazing. All right, Pharrell
has a million dollar Louis Vauton speedy. What did you
think about purchasing such a thing.

Speaker 5 (06:14):
I'm all for a good bag. A million dollars on
a bag, It's not happening. I don't care how much
money I have in the bank. That to me is
absolutely ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
I'm definitely not I'd rather drop that million dollars with
and against some real estate.

Speaker 8 (06:35):
I can use it now.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Listen, there's also some million shades that accompany the bag,
by the way, so you get a pair of sunglasses
as well.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
Oh, for a million dollars, get a bag and some shades.

Speaker 8 (06:46):
Yes, so there you go.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
And by the way, these are made to order, so
you can pick from five different color options. It's red, green, yellow,
blue and brown. But they're they're not just available on
the list.

Speaker 5 (07:00):
A question though, like what type of skin? What makes
this a million dollars?

Speaker 8 (07:06):
But soft? Okay? And that is your ut.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
And when we come back, we have about last night.
That's where we discussed what we did last night. The
marathon was here in New York City. There was a
lot going on. It's way up with the Angela Yee

time for about last night. And this is where we
discussed what we did over the weekend. I'm gonna tell
you what I did. I I ended up watching The

(07:46):
Exorcist finally I saw that.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
Oh my god, I do not like scary movies.

Speaker 8 (07:50):
But I'm gonna tell you something else happened.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
I accidentally ordered another movie called The Exorcists. I guess yes,
that was available. I was on Prime. And so there's
a movie called the Exorcist. Is where they have three
different people coming in to try to do this exorcism
and then realize.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
Like CAS's demons are the people.

Speaker 8 (08:10):
Yeah, you know those are real and it was based
on a true story.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
Oh wow.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
No, I know that there's a lot of demons walking around.
I know a few, that's a fact.

Speaker 8 (08:20):
But these are like possessions, you know.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
I know some of them too.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
I don't play with Wiji boards.

Speaker 5 (08:28):
Imagine rest in Peace, any of those things.

Speaker 8 (08:34):
What did you think of the Exorcist? May No, since you.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Said it, I liked it. I saw it was with
the two.

Speaker 8 (08:40):
Girls, right, Yes, one of them name Angela, was it?

Speaker 1 (08:43):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (08:44):
They got that.

Speaker 8 (08:45):
Yeah, the black her name was Angela.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Yeah, I didn't see it.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
She came back in the bathroom and said what you said?
But you said something.

Speaker 8 (08:53):
He was like, all right, what did you do, Jennifer
over the weekend?

Speaker 5 (08:57):
This weekend, I've been in New York. I've been just
like catching up on some rest. The marathon was yesterday.
I did not run a marathon.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
That's my goal.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
It's a huge accomplishment.

Speaker 8 (09:09):
Every year I say I'm gonna do it next year.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
I did go outside and I was walking around like
it was I did walk on the side of way
it was and it was garbage everywhere, and I tell you.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
The city was crazy.

Speaker 5 (09:21):
I thought, I mean, I would love to do it
because I feel like, again, it's a huge accomplishment. But
then when I hear the stories you lose toenails, like
you have shaping on your.

Speaker 8 (09:33):
Yah, that's a real thing. It's called runners. What is
it called runner's diarrhea? Oh wow, Yeah, that's a.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
Ding on yourself running.

Speaker 8 (09:42):
No, it's like for real diarrhea.

Speaker 4 (09:44):
Yeah, losing toenails like a good sandal.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Why would you be losing a tomail just from running?

Speaker 5 (09:51):
That's all When running miles, here's the thing. You can't
just run it that day. You have to like build
yourself up to it. So you're doing it exactly. You're
running like fifteen miles a day every day.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
Well, and you know who else I ran in it?
Patina Miller ran in the marathon, So shout out to
her for that. That's huge. I always look every year
to see, like, who do we know? Because one year
I am, I promise you. Every year I say I'm
gonna do it. I think I'm gonna do it for
real next year. How many miles can you run seven.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Okay, it's not good.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
Start that's good. I think.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
Listen, you gotta work your way up. I think starting
by doing a half marathon. Yeah, and then you progress.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
It's grown in. I can't run them out.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
Twenty six point two. That point two is.

am currently still married to my husband that I'm trying
to divorce.

Speaker 8 (15:24):
Oh okay, wow, So why is the other marriage? Why
haven't you been able to get divorced?

Speaker 9 (15:32):
I didn't want to pay for it. My ex husband
don't want to pay for it. And I didn't want
to pay seven hundred dollars for divorce just to benefit.

Speaker 7 (15:38):
Uh.

Speaker 8 (15:39):
So you're just being stubborn, right, this is all over
a suddennun.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
It is way up at Angela yee, I angela yee.
And Jennifer Williams is here.

Speaker 7 (17:21):
I look like a deluxe.

Speaker 8 (17:23):
Mana is here?

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Yes, yes, right, all right, Well, let's start off with
one of Jennifer's friends, British Williams. You know she was
sentenced to four years on for charges and her former
attorney Jason Corner went on his TikTok account to talk
about what he believes happened.

Speaker 8 (17:40):
Here's what he said.

Speaker 13 (17:41):
British Williams is a low level reality TV start. I
initially represented her on the case. Unfortunately she was just
one of those clients that she won't listening and eventually
we chose to not continue the representation. The four year
sentence is getting absolutely hammered for a first defense white
collar case.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
This is what happens.

Speaker 13 (17:58):
And you don't listen to your lawyer when you don't
want to kind of change your ways, take responsibility when
you have a case pending, especially in federal court. And
I believe that that's entirely, nearly entirely where her four
year sentence came from. It was just her ongoing attitude
and behavior.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Oh he shouldn't even said he should have did that. Wait,
I'm just on a low level reality to you, Right,
I'm confused about a couple of things. So was he
calling her low level? Was he calling the show low level?

Speaker 5 (18:26):
And why does an attorney have a TikTok account?

Speaker 3 (18:30):
Well, he took this video down right, it's now deleted.
But what he, I guess, is trying to say is
he wasn't her attorney anymore. They had parted ways, but
he said that he was giving her advice that she
wasn't following, and according to reports, they said that she
made several attempts to keep on working.

Speaker 8 (18:45):
She wanted to remove her angle monitor because she.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Lost a deal with Fenty's Rihanna Savage fancy clothing line,
and that she also requested permission to go to Mexico
and film for Basketball Wise and that request was denied.
So maybe the judge thought she wasn't taking a serious.

Speaker 5 (19:01):
Well, here's the thing, and British was on the show
at the time with me when she was going through
all of this. I remember when she had to spend
a night in jail. I remember this particular attorney, And
I don't know the ins and out of what happened.
I do know that they parted ways. I was under
the impression that he was just not doing enough or

(19:23):
I'm responsive. So I'm not really sure of the real story.
But for me, just calling somebody low level that you
once represented is ridiculous, because yeah, it's very it's very
tacky because you can leave out the adjectives, right, because
you have these white women on Jersey Housewives, they do

(19:43):
all kinds of things. They flip tables, they go to jail.
This one is deported out the country. They don't get
called low life.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
Okay, right, low level, low level. Listen, I feel you
on that. And I understand trying to say, look, listen
to your lawyer because this could have been avoided, but
it sounded unprofessional.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
And there's a way to say that.

Speaker 8 (20:04):
All right.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
Now, moving on to Megan thee Stallion's Cobra. If you
guys recall this verse.

Speaker 12 (20:10):
In his In This Thing spot, I'm sleeping, Lord, give
me a break. I don't know how much boy, How
have you been worried about me telling people that's not me? Say?
Kind of feel like you clashing? Why speaking on me
and my lowest when you ain't like you?

Speaker 11 (20:22):
Ain't?

Speaker 2 (20:22):
No?

Speaker 3 (20:23):
All right, Well, apparently people felt like she was talking
about partisan Fontein, her ex, and he posted a couple
of memes. One is of Tristan Thompson laughing, the other
one's future saying it's a cold world. And then Jada Kingdom,
who is his new girlfriend, also posted because she had
put up some flowers and said, so, I guess I
knew the lyrics before a job to write. I decided

(20:43):
to post my flowers eight hours before.

Speaker 8 (20:45):
It's a hint.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
It's me, guys, why the internet is a special place.
I know it's going to drive you all crazy to
not have someone specific to terrorize for your president.

Speaker 8 (20:54):
But it wasn't me.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
And so she went on to explain she has nothing
to do with the two of them breaking up. She
was not being referenced at all. All right, well, that
is your yet, and when we come back, we have
under the radar. These are the stories that are not
necessarily in the headlines. They are flying under the radar.
But one of them is happening right around the corner.
Well not right around the corner, but Donald Trump is
in town.

Speaker 5 (21:16):
Oh yes, the streets are blocked off. My hotel is
right there. It's a nightmare.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
And we'll tell you what's happening. It's way up with
Angela Yee. Under the radar is next, and.

Speaker 6 (21:24):
The news that relates to you. These stories are flying
under the radar.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Hands on your knees, all right, it's way up. When
Angela Yee I kind of made.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
A song, let me find out you got bars.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
Well, let's get into some yet and now let's start
off with Donald Oh no, sorry, under the radar.

Speaker 8 (21:44):
I'm all over the place. It just rhymed.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
Now let's get into some under the radar. Donald Trump
is in New York. He's testifying under Oh. So there's
a lot of traffic. It's a civil fraud trial and
he's being pressed on financial documents at a two hundred
and fifty million dollar lawsuit that New York Attorney General
Tis James is saying that he committed a repeated fraud
for inflating assets on financial statements. And so the judge

(22:07):
keeps on telling him to stop giving speeches and told
Donald Trump to turn it to please control your client
or he will be removed from the stand.

Speaker 8 (22:15):
So that's what's going on right now.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
So he don't want to know speeches at his events.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
Look, he's on the stand. He's supposed to be answering questions,
not giving speeches.

Speaker 5 (22:25):
You can literally go right outside the courthouse and.

Speaker 8 (22:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
So this is a civil case, by the way, not criminal,
but it does threat threatened Donald Trump's businesses in New York.
They want to bar him from doing business in this
state and to dissolve his companies.

Speaker 8 (22:40):
All right, Now, this.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
Is going to affect you made on I don't know
how you're gonna feel about this, but Jim's are now
cracking down on people filming themselves exercising, and that's amidst
concerns of privacy and overcrowding fitness influenzas. You know, people
be in the gym taking a picture, but then you
be on the background, dying on the treadmill.

Speaker 5 (23:00):
All kinds of devices set up and you're like, wait,
what's her being here?

Speaker 1 (23:06):
What?

Speaker 2 (23:07):
I don't film myself that much, not that much for
you get a little video. I don't want to be
in the gym.

Speaker 8 (23:15):
You don't want somebody like filming it.

Speaker 12 (23:16):
There?

Speaker 8 (23:16):
You back there?

Speaker 2 (23:17):
You know, I don't want nobody. I don't I don't
want to feel nobody.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
Yeah, but people are in the background and that's not
fair to them. I'm over here struggling with my twenty
pounds weight and they're filming and the like, who is
that in the background?

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Though?

Speaker 8 (23:30):
All right, well that is you're under the radar.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
And when we come back, we got the way you
mix at the top of the hour plus, Lady London
is going to be joining us. Her album came out
on Friday and it's called soul. And so you guys
are gonna love this. She is amazing talented young lady.
It's way I put Angela Yue's like.

Speaker 5 (23:47):
The like they Angela Jean, like they Angela Jee and.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
She's spilling it all. This is yet way up.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
It's way you put the Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee.
And Jennifer Williams is.

Speaker 7 (23:59):
Here, deluxe to you.

Speaker 8 (24:02):
Mane who is here?

Speaker 11 (24:03):
Now?

Speaker 3 (24:04):
Maya let's get into some yeteen Now, Evon Orgy was
on with Chelsea Handler and in that interview, Evan and
she's spoken about this before that she's a virgin until
she gets married.

Speaker 8 (24:17):
Now I didn't know to update, but here it is.
You still a virgin? I am, and you what are you?

Speaker 4 (24:23):
Thirty nine? I am?

Speaker 8 (24:25):
Oh my god, that Dan is gonna break one day.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Baby.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
And if he doesn't play.

Speaker 10 (24:30):
Now like people were like, oh you know, I was like,
pray for him, whoever he is.

Speaker 14 (24:35):
Why a lot of.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
Pecks up energy up in here.

Speaker 8 (24:40):
Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
And you're gonna hit your sexual peak when you start
having sex.

Speaker 8 (24:44):
So yeah, you're gonna need a couple of men. Probably.
We all look from being a virgins to poly Italy.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
Yeah, who's that evon Orgy.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
She's a comedian, but she's also from Insecure, okay, and
I love evon Orgi.

Speaker 8 (24:59):
By the way, she has a great book out.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
What is it, Jesus, I'm trying to remember the name
of the no, But she's you know, she grew up
in a household where she felt like you have to
be married to have section and she has stuck with it.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
And she's still a virsion to this day.

Speaker 4 (25:17):
Is she dating somebody?

Speaker 3 (25:18):
She she was before and I remember I was like
the first thing I asked her, like, girl did just She's.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Like, Nope, that's very unsafe.

Speaker 8 (25:25):
It's called Bambooza, by Jesus, that's the.

Speaker 10 (25:27):
Name of that.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
That's very unsafe. Version of thirty plus years forty.

Speaker 8 (25:30):
That's really safe.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
It was very violent.

Speaker 8 (25:33):
Anyway.

Speaker 3 (25:35):
Now, speaking of safe things to do, Action Bronson is
talking about his fitness journey. We told you it was
the marathon in the city and he actually did some
special things to launch everything the marathon kick off party
on Friday for New Balance, and he lost over one
hundred and thirty pounds. By the way, oh wow, once
she said his mine to his health transformation back in
twenty twenty. He was inspired by the birth of his

(25:57):
son and then his daughter after that, so every single
aspect of his life has changed, he said, since prioritizing
his health. All right, Meghan Good has launched a signature
line of recipes and flavors with Saint Royal Vodka, So
shout out to her. She said, I'm being thrilled to
join such an established and recognized baroness. By far the
best vodka I've ever tasted, and I can't wait to

(26:19):
share my unique recipes with you.

Speaker 8 (26:23):
Na, why are you looking like that?

Speaker 2 (26:24):
I don't know why when you speak on how you
always look at me.

Speaker 4 (26:28):
You have a crush on Meghan?

Speaker 2 (26:29):
No, not at all. Oh, I don't know why when
she think that, I just told her. One time I've
seen her, she was with a headless man. I said.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
Godo did not care that she know he was not
really headless.

Speaker 8 (26:39):
Jennifer, she was horrified. All right.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
Crazy Legs Features has the rights to The Most Beautiful
My Life with Prince. It's the book from Mate Garcia,
who was his first wife, and apparently now this is
being made into a movie, So listen. Prince is my
favorite artist of all time. So the Princess and God,
we shall see how this all goes down. I love
his music, all right. Kylie Jenner's new fashion brand Kai

(27:05):
hit one million dollars in sales within the first hour
of launch. Just think about this, right, Kim Kardashian launched
the men's Skims and it made millions of dollars the
first day, and then Kylie Jenner now has Kai that
made one million dollars in the first hour.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
Let me just say this.

Speaker 5 (27:22):
I don't people talk a lot about Kim Kardashian, but
let me tell you something. My fiance was watching the
NBA game and Skims.

Speaker 4 (27:32):
Was on the floor.

Speaker 8 (27:33):
It's on the course.

Speaker 5 (27:34):
I was like, you know what, the wood hustling. Okay,
shout out Christian.

Speaker 8 (27:39):
All right, well that is your Utia. Shoutout new edition.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
By the way, they have a twenty twenty four residency
in Vegas that they've announced.

Speaker 8 (27:45):
And we're outside for that, okay.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
And so that's going to start on February twenty eighth
at the Win in Vegas. Tickets go on sales starting
this Friday, So I feel like we need to be outside.

Speaker 8 (27:54):
For that hour.

Speaker 4 (27:55):
Yeah, let me call my casino host.

Speaker 8 (27:56):
Sounds like a reunion to me.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
All right, Well, when we come back, let's talk about
Jennifer's documentary Scam Likely that is coming on tonight on BH. Well,
we gotta get into it, and we gotta throw a
little Basketball Wives in there too.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
It's a way up, way up with Angela ye more
now right, all.

Speaker 8 (28:17):
Right, what's up?

Speaker 3 (28:18):
Sorry, guys, I was on the phone because we got
some things happening, because we do have a big premiere
happening Tonight's way yep, But Angela yee, I'm Angela yee.
Jennifer Williams is here, Deluxe, Mana is here, maws and
tonight is actually the night that we are doing the
premiere for my two scam story on BH one eight.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
Seven Sex finally, finally, and this.

Speaker 8 (28:43):
Is Jennifer telling her story.

Speaker 7 (28:44):
Now.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
I just want to look at the difference from when
you first found out that you were not getting your
range over back that you're exto from you to where
you are right now, you know, because it's a major
difference to be able to tell your.

Speaker 5 (28:54):
Story absolutely and thank God that I don't look like
what I've been through, because that is definitely a difficult
time for me. It was hard for me to get
the courage and come out and tell my story. But
it became so much bigger than me than the range rover.
It's so many people that this man has destroyed their lives.
And for me, the reason I wanted to do with

(29:17):
this documentary is because really I just wanted to have
an impact. It's something we don't talk about a lot
in the black community because people just like to take
their ellen silent and keep it moving. However, I feel
like you're doing a disservice to your community because you
have to save people. And so I really was like,
you know what, if I save one person from this man,

(29:37):
then I'm doing my job. Obviously, I hope to save
many and I hope that everyone sees who this man is.
His face is going to be plastered all over.

Speaker 8 (29:47):
The name We're not. No name is being hidden to
protect his real name, his.

Speaker 5 (29:55):
Real name, his real father, his biological fathers on there.
So I'm really excited for people to hear this story,
and I hope that people have the courage to come
forward and tell their story.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
Yeah, I agree with you. And it was also his
own family members too, which is crazy.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
Like, yes, family members, Yep.

Speaker 3 (30:16):
His own daughter by the way, now, imagine your dad
didn't do nothing for you in your life until he
saw that you actually were about to blow up as
a singer, and then he reached out like, yo, you
got a manager.

Speaker 5 (30:29):
Yes, Hissorter was one America's got talent, and he had
I think maybe seen her one time prior in his life.
And at the time, I want to say, she was
like fifteen or sixteen, and because she had the potential
to obviously make money, then he wanted to reach out
and figure out if you know she had a manager.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
He's just trash.

Speaker 8 (30:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
So I'm excited for everybody to get a chance to
see this. And what's amazing about it is that once
Jennifer went and told her story, a lot of people
came forward word and I just want to put this
out there right now.

Speaker 8 (31:02):
When you see the preview.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
There are even some men that he had intimate relationships
with that he met on dating sites that he ripped
off as well.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
Yes, yes, wow, So he's still out here sneaking and gigging.

Speaker 8 (31:14):
Yeah, anybody who has cash that he can get from them.

Speaker 12 (31:17):
Yes.

Speaker 8 (31:18):
Everyone. When I tell you no morals, no nothing, I.

Speaker 5 (31:21):
Mean, if you scam your own father, clearly he has
no morals. He doesn't see gender race, he sees dollar signs.

Speaker 4 (31:29):
That's it. Mm hmm.

Speaker 8 (31:31):
Well he's an equal opportunity scammer. Yes, in that case.

Speaker 5 (31:35):
He definitely is. But I'm excited for people to hear
the story. And honestly, there were so many people that
came forward with their story. Now, not everybody had the
courage to sit in front of the camera and tell
their story, but the stories that I heard, they were
just so heartbreaking. At I said, you know what, this
has to be told.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
All right, well, listen, you guys gotta watch tonight on
VH one. Like I said, we're up here like getting
ready for this tonight. I said, big deal. I'm an
executive producer on it. I know I keep on forgetting this.

Speaker 4 (32:02):
Yes, Angela Ye have flowers to being an.

Speaker 3 (32:06):
Epinay baby, I need some mainnovation Monday. All right, it's
way up with Angela Yee, and I want to do that.
I want to do Monday maynovation. It's way up with
Angela Yee.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
You rape the way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Ye and
Jennifer Williams is here.

Speaker 7 (32:28):
I look like a deluxe to you.

Speaker 3 (32:31):
Cheers, Jen, We're toasting with I best wines to my
true Scam story coming on v H one tonight, and
Mano is here. Mano cannot miss a Monday because it
is time for Monday Manovation.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
No hesitation and Amy sit Sean. But you know this mainnovation.
I feel like I'm almost like a hypocrite, okay, because
this is something that I struggle with all the time.
Matching energy. We shouldn't always be so quick to match energy,
because you know, the thing is, it's like, you should

(33:07):
never allow the energy of somebody else to prevent you
or keep you from being a person that you naturally are. Okay,
we can't allow people to change the climate on who
we are just so we can match it. You understand.
And this is something that I struggle with.

Speaker 8 (33:24):
I feel you, this is.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Something that I struggle deeply with because I'm like, oh no,
I'm gonna match that. You understand absolutely. But the thing
is is that we should never be we should never
feel compelled to be other than who we are. Right
even let people be who they are that it doesn't
mean that we have to become them.

Speaker 3 (33:45):
You know how I always know when somebody is no
good in my life when they make me act out
of characters.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
This is what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
When somebody gets you to the point where you're like,
why am I behaving in this way?

Speaker 8 (33:54):
This is not even me?

Speaker 2 (33:57):
And you don't feel good about it neither.

Speaker 5 (33:59):
And I feel like, honestly, you don't want that person
to have that much power over you where I act
out of character.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
So like, if you're dating somebody and you're like, why
am I climbing through this man's window?

Speaker 4 (34:12):
Right?

Speaker 8 (34:14):
It's not something I do.

Speaker 5 (34:16):
Go, you gotta start re evaluating things.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
I struggled with this, Yeah, because Mayo it's definitely a
matching energy type of person and he's kind of quick
to do it. But I will say that you've gotten
better over the years.

Speaker 4 (34:31):
That's not going around slapping.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
People allegedly probably never even happened before.

Speaker 3 (34:40):
Listen, every time I run into somebody who knows Made
from back in the day, they're like, oh, I remember
one time.

Speaker 8 (34:48):
McDaniels was up here. He's like, he's made over here.
He's like, let me tell you about this time we
was at the party and may don't jump down. And
but anyway, but I agree with you.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
That is a perfect Monday n innovation sometimes and this
is kind of what Michelle Obama would say, right when
they go low.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
When they go low, you go. You're supposed to.

Speaker 8 (35:09):
Know, we go high.

Speaker 2 (35:10):
But I go to the basement.

Speaker 8 (35:12):
See this is not working.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
But I said that I struggle with it though, Okay,
I said that, I'm probably even more hypocritical with this one.
I'm trying.

Speaker 5 (35:23):
Listen, I have to practice that every day I go
to work at Basketball wives.

Speaker 8 (35:27):
Because we saw the scene. Baby, we'll discuss it all right.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
Well, listen when we come back, and Lady London is
joining us. Her album came out on Friday. It's called Soul.
Check it out. We had a fun time talking to her.
It's way up at Angela Yee. Lady London is next.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
Turn way up with Angela ye.

Speaker 7 (35:47):
More.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
Now what's up his way up at Angela Yee. I'm
Angela Yee. And okay, Mano's here with us, stop it
and Lady London is here.

Speaker 14 (35:56):
How you doing?

Speaker 8 (35:57):
Congratulations? New album is out right now?

Speaker 14 (35:59):
Yes, project, not exactly the album.

Speaker 8 (36:02):
You like a project. It's not an album, it's a project.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
Congratulations though, so I know how hard you work on that.

Speaker 8 (36:07):
Well, let's start off with this mana what's your sign?

Speaker 2 (36:09):
Virgo?

Speaker 3 (36:10):
Okay, so what are your thoughts on virgos?

Speaker 1 (36:14):
That's crazy?

Speaker 8 (36:15):
And what's your sign?

Speaker 14 (36:16):
I'm a cancer?

Speaker 3 (36:17):
She's a cancer, okay, because I know that this album
is all about the different signs, So you believe in that.

Speaker 14 (36:23):
I believe it governs your temperament.

Speaker 15 (36:25):
I don't like swear by it, but I do think
it has a certain characteristics that define you.

Speaker 8 (36:29):
Okay. So what defines you as a cancer?

Speaker 15 (36:32):
I would say on the positive side, cancers are the
mother of the zodiac, so super nurturing, very like caring,
and the mother of the of the crew. We are
hyper sensitive and very moody on the other side of things,
But I also think like we're super creative and very
intuitive people.

Speaker 8 (36:47):
So who would you say you're most compatible with as
a sign. When it comes to the opposite sext.

Speaker 15 (36:52):
And relationships are in friendship relationships Scorpio.

Speaker 3 (36:56):
I do not get alone with Scorpio. I'm a Capricorn, okay. Okay, yeah, yeah,
I'm kind of close.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
I'll get along with everybody.

Speaker 8 (37:03):
No, no, you don't, Okay.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
One sign for guys, would you say is the biggest
all twelve twelve.

Speaker 14 (37:16):
I'm gonna going on twelve on that for sure, for sure.

Speaker 8 (37:19):
Right now we are talking to Lady London. Mano was here.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
Now, Lady London, you are an HBC you grad You
went to Howard right, I said, I righte HPC U
time and you studied sports medicine.

Speaker 14 (37:32):
Yes, sports medicine and chemistry was my double major.

Speaker 8 (37:34):
Now how did you even come into that?

Speaker 3 (37:36):
First of all, I will say I was a good student,
but I always hated like science classes when I was
growing up. What made you you think that was just
part of your education, like going to that school that
got you into that or what got you into it.

Speaker 4 (37:48):
No, I've always.

Speaker 15 (37:48):
Wanted to be a doctor since I was a kid,
and science has always come very very natural to me.
School has just always come very natural. Like I was
a bad kid out on the behavior side, and like
a really smart, smart kid academically, which is why my
mom tried to challenge me a little bit more I
think growing up.

Speaker 14 (38:04):
But yeah, I was like science.

Speaker 15 (38:06):
So I double majored in sports medicine and chemistry at
Howard and then I went on to get my masters
at USC for Global medicine and international health policy. So
I was like really on a track to go, you know,
on the medicine round.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
But then you started doing spoken word poetry. Yeah right,
So tell me about that transition and what you got,
what got you interested in that?

Speaker 15 (38:24):
Poetry was my outlet to just to express myself with
whatever I was going through I felt like as a
kid and then growing into myself as a woman. As
a transition to Howard, it was just a big thing.
So I used to sell out poetry shows when I
was at Howard, mainly just to like give myself some
extra money because every show they'll like offer the grand prize.
When they're like a twenty dollars Chipole Cardus, you were like,

(38:44):
I'll a ticket. I'm like, I got twenty dollars to
my name. I'm definitely getting these for sure. What your
Chile order vegiable? Yeah, I don't eat meat vegetable. But
my mom was at first when I saw I went
through music. She was like, I don't understand. I thought
we had a plan, right, we had like a full
proof plan. But I think she knew the impact that
I was making already, Like I was already viral. I

(39:06):
had already been getting twenty thousand followers per month, or
I'm just consistent freestyles being put out.

Speaker 14 (39:11):
And I was trying to tell her like, yeah, I'm
telling you it's.

Speaker 4 (39:13):
Bust to hit me.

Speaker 14 (39:14):
I'm trying to tell you like it's crazy. This is
I think I think she.

Speaker 15 (39:17):
Realized now she's such a big support at me now,
so my family's like really behind it right now.

Speaker 8 (39:22):
Mayno and I are talking to Lady London.

Speaker 2 (39:24):
Was it the freestyles that because it is the freestyles
for me that got my attention that I noticed, So
what is that? What was the thing for you that
that garnered the attention for you that it was strictly
the freestyle.

Speaker 15 (39:37):
It was just freestyles for a long time. I hadn't
I hadn't put out any music at all. It's just freestyles.
But I was consistent in it because I grew my
following from ninety five hundred people to one point two
million organically on my own by just putting out freestyles
every week.

Speaker 3 (39:50):
And then listen, you did the BT cipher and people
loved that. What was that experience like for you and
you Lola Brook and then you and Lola Brooker have
worked together, Love La La.

Speaker 14 (40:01):
It's just good to see everybody. You know, we the rap.

Speaker 15 (40:03):
Girls have such unity now, you know what I'm saying.
I think it's really dope because when I showed up,
I'm like, oh, Gloss here, like Scar here, like you know,
we all speak like we all you know what I'm saying,
like have relationships already. But the cipher itself, I was
so nervous. I cried after that site you do a
lot of people don't know that, but I like, sweet,
you killed it, thank you.

Speaker 14 (40:21):
But I thought I didn't.

Speaker 3 (40:22):
So I was like everybody was like, oh, I was
stressed out, but that yeah, I'm very hard on myself.

Speaker 14 (40:29):
I called my moms crying. I was like, yo, it's
probably the worst freestyle I have.

Speaker 4 (40:32):
It did. I'm so mad.

Speaker 14 (40:33):
I swear.

Speaker 15 (40:33):
I was so aggravated because I just felt like I
feel like I wasn't in pocket.

Speaker 14 (40:37):
My my.

Speaker 15 (40:38):
The BPM on a beat was three too high. I'm like, oh,
I don't know, but it came out really, really good.
And I've seen Tim and Atlanta right before premiere and
he was like, I'm telling you it's going viral.

Speaker 8 (40:46):
All right.

Speaker 3 (40:46):
Lady London is here and we have more with her
when we come back. Her album Soul is out right now,
and she seems like she's a pretty fun person to
be around as well.

Speaker 8 (40:55):
We got some more. It's way up with Angela yee
you way up.

Speaker 3 (40:59):
With Angela more now, what's up? Its way put Angela Yea,
I'm Angela Yea. Mana is here and we're talking to
Lady London about her new album Soul. And when we
talk about this project, and you know, obviously there's a
lot of relationship talk on here, it feels like you
done has your heartbroken.

Speaker 15 (41:19):
I actually draw from many many of my friends experiences.
I've actually never been heartbroken, but never Yeah, no, I
don't play like that. Yeah, I don't really get to
I don't believe in getting involved past a certain point
for me personally. But that's because I'm like hyper focused
on success and I know myself, I'm very black and white.
I can be all consumed by something that like really

(41:41):
really matters, and I think I have no room to
fall off my pivot for things. So I really have
never been like in love, like super deep heartbroken of
you know, I've.

Speaker 14 (41:51):
Loved people, have you broken hearts? I don't claim that sport.
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (41:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (41:57):
I like that, I don't.

Speaker 14 (42:03):
Not my ministry.

Speaker 8 (42:05):
Right now, Maya and I are talking to Lady London.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
You think that going to school and like being stretured
and in the way that you helped you with your career.

Speaker 14 (42:12):
Yes, absolutely, I'm a scholar and I apply it to
every portion of my life. I don't even know how.

Speaker 15 (42:17):
It's so funny because I think without college at least
the way that I like went, I don't know how
I manage my career right now. Right the way that
my group chats be like it's overkilled, Like it's like
PDF files, docu signs. You gotta turn this him and
I'm very like, like on it, you know what I'm saying.
I want to be a part of every email chain
my team though, like, do not leave me out the email.

Speaker 14 (42:35):
And I want to see everything.

Speaker 8 (42:37):
I want to see it.

Speaker 15 (42:38):
Yes, I get literally if I starts to work approved
in my phone right now, it comes up more than
anything ever, you know.

Speaker 8 (42:44):
So that's great. You're very involved in your career and
your mom is your manager.

Speaker 14 (42:48):
Yes, my mom handles a lot of like my day
to day stuff right now.

Speaker 8 (42:51):
How is that at home too?

Speaker 3 (42:52):
Because sometimes it's hard to turn that off when you're like,
I don't want to talk about business for a moment.

Speaker 4 (42:56):
Yeah, my mom.

Speaker 15 (42:57):
She Yeah, she got an interesting way of approach. And
she's definitely still on mom all like all day. That
never turns off of her. So she'll be like trying
to check me on stuff, and I'll be like, girl,
like we.

Speaker 14 (43:08):
We were in working space right now.

Speaker 15 (43:09):
If anything, I'd be like, we're working like like not.

Speaker 8 (43:14):
Today, not today.

Speaker 15 (43:15):
Yeah, So we definitely be on that. But you know,
she's she just wants the best for the whole situation.

Speaker 3 (43:21):
So all right, well listen, we're so excited that you
had a chance to come through. Also, congrats. We saw
the new video with well jeremized. He's not in the video.

Speaker 8 (43:29):
He's not.

Speaker 15 (43:30):
He was on touring Europe. We weren't unable to get
him on that. But we have so much other stuff
planned to incorporate him.

Speaker 8 (43:36):
But however, you did have some steamy c Yeah, I was.

Speaker 14 (43:41):
I got some terrible text today, terrible text when.

Speaker 2 (43:45):
The script that you just went you just got caught
up in the moment, committed to the moment came.

Speaker 8 (43:49):
Out and you was I'm about the art form. It
was acting too good about the art.

Speaker 14 (43:54):
I love a good na.

Speaker 8 (43:56):
Yeah, absolutely tell me about these texts.

Speaker 15 (43:59):
Anybody's like what you know of course and things. It's
all like what's going on? This is making my stomach hurt?

Speaker 14 (44:07):
Who is this like that?

Speaker 15 (44:08):
So it's just yeah, so I'm about the art form
whatever it takes to get to get it done, and
that's what it is. So I wasn't really nervous that
I was actually talking to him like you okay, like
you know, he was just.

Speaker 14 (44:18):
Like yeah, like I'm good, Like I'm good, So you know, I.

Speaker 8 (44:20):
Think we need to try this one again. We actually didn't.

Speaker 15 (44:23):
Shoot that same scene twice, which is like crazy, but
it was cool, you know, like what else.

Speaker 3 (44:29):
She's so professional. All right, Well, Lady Lendon, thank you
so much. We appreciate you. And congratulations for this new
project that's available right now.

Speaker 14 (44:37):
Soul, thank you so much. I appreciate you.

Speaker 8 (44:41):
All right, Well, that was a Lady London.

Speaker 3 (44:43):
In case you missed that interview, you can watch the
full thing on my YouTube channel Way Up with Ye
And today is a Maya Monday, and we have Jina
Nixon joining us when we come back. She's a master
hair stylist, and you know I love my Maya product.
So you have questions, she has answers. It's way up
with Angela Gee on a my Monday.

Speaker 1 (45:00):
Y'all be way up with Angela.

Speaker 12 (45:02):
Ye.

Speaker 1 (45:02):
Break them come break them down more. Now it's going down.

Speaker 8 (45:08):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (45:08):
Its way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee, and
you know it is a Mayo Monday. As I've said
many times, I love Mayel products and I have my
hair braided right now. I always use the Maya rice
water hair split in therapy as well as they're moisturizing
milk to make sure that my hair is hydrated. And
right now I want to talk to Jentina Nixon. She

(45:29):
is a Mayeo expert hair stylist. And there's a question
from one of our listeners. Jasmine in La said, I
wore braids for the summer so I could swim. When
I took them out, I had really bad split ends
and now my hair seems really dry. Any suggestions, yes, Jasmine,
So first and foremost, I am going to suggest that
you visit a professional and you address those split INDs immediately.

Speaker 10 (45:53):
Also, keep in mind when you're wearing braids, a lot
of times the synthetic hair is made of plastics and
and those can actually cut through our natural hair. A
lot of people don't know that. Also, make sure that
you are shampooing your hair. We have to shampoo our
hair whether it is loose or it's in braid. With
that being said, I do recommend the Mayel's Rice Water

(46:16):
and Fallow Deep conditioner as well as the rice Water shampoo.
They are going to aid and bringing the moisture back
to those strands and they're really really good for length retention.

Speaker 3 (46:27):
All right, well, thank you so much, Jatina Nixon, and
thank you for participating in Maya Monday everybody who sent
in their questions. You can find Jatina Nixon on Instagram
at j Renee Underscores Styles. That's Jay Renee Underscores Styles.
It's Way Up with Angela Yee and of course we'll
be back tomorrow. Thanks again to Lady London for joining us.
And watch that full interview on our YouTube on Way
