Speaker 1 (00:29):
It feels like I just messed but we.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
Were already talking about this behind the scenes, and I
know we'll be talking about this today. There's Mike Tyson
Jake Paul fight that's going to be happening tonight. Everybody
thinks it's sad because fights are usually on Saturdays, but
this is different. It's on Netflix. It's tonight. So we'll
give you some updates throughout the show.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Were watching it, You're at a party.
Speaker 2 (00:50):

is out today, so we'll talk about that, y'all. Know
I'd love me someling with She had me.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Shooking a day line between love and hate.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Listen, a lot of guys learned their lesson from watching
that movie. All right, well, let's start this show with
some love and some positivity. Hey, let's shine a light.
It's way up.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
Turn your lights on, y'all spreading love to those who
are doing greatness.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
Light, shine the light on.

It's time to shine a light on them.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
It's way up with Angela. Ye, I'm here and music
journalists beat out his here soon, You're welcome. And I
don't know if I've ever shined a line on her before,
but even if I did, I gotta do it again. Rodriguez.
I was with her yesterday and it's a New York
Comedy festival, so she had a show and a taping
of her podcast, Say what you Mean? I love her podcast?
Speaker 1 (01:52):
What's it about?
Speaker 5 (01:53):
So?
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Say what you Mean is basically a way that if
there's a time in your life that you wish you
could say what you really meant at that time, what
would you have said? So you know how things happen
in life, and you're like, man, I wish I would
have said this, So I should have told him that,
so it kind of focuses on that. But it's kind
of healing to be able to say it.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Now.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
I wish I would have said this, What did you
talk about?
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (02:13):
I talked about time when I was when I was
working for di'angelo and the guy who, well, i'll talk
about it during about last night, I'll tell you guys.
And then Michael Chay. She also interviewed Michael Chay after me,
and he is so funny. Yes, he was like, basically,
I don't want to give away too much of her
podcast because I want everybody to go and watch it.
But he basically was like, I'm more on the other side.
(02:35):
I wish I wouldn't have said there, And that's a fact.
And I could see that he doesn't do a lot
of podcasts. So he did her podcast and when I
tell you, he was so funny. He kept talking about
how trash Jenny is from Forrest Gump.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Oh, yes, I agree with him. She took advantage of
for us. She was autistic.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
Yeah, that's what. Well, they never specified that, but we
assume that. Okay, all right, Well, who do you guys
want to shine a light on a ninety two fifty
one fifty Roger, who do you want to shine a
light on?
Speaker 6 (03:04):
I want to shine a light on my wife, Lawanica
Graham Woody.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Okay, Lawanica today.
Speaker 6 (03:09):
Made twenty one years we've been married today.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Oh my gosh, congratulations, happy anniversary.
Speaker 6 (03:16):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Angela.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Ye, what's the best part about being married to Lawanica?
Speaker 6 (03:20):
Just knowing she got my back. You know, it's been rough,
it get rough, and it gets good. So I try
to make the good times outweigh the fat time.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
All right, I feel that, and they do outweighim. That's
why you're so happy and in love.
Speaker 6 (03:34):
Yeah, that's right. Ain't nothing like black.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Love, black love? All right, Well, thank you for calling it.
Happy anniversary again, Angela.
Speaker 6 (03:42):
Yeah, we play out of you out here, all right.
He's doing your thing.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Thank you. I appreciate it. You sound amazing. Thank you
so much for calling. I needed that.
Speaker 6 (03:50):
Thanks. I'm in Ohio.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
That was shining Light. Eight hundred and two ninety two
fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through, leave a
message for the last word. It's your show. When we
come back, we have a yet, and let's talk about
this fight. Mike Tyson versus Jake Paul will give you
all of the updates of what's gonna happen tonight. Beat out.
It's gonna give you his predictions.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Yes, I can't.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Wait to hear this. He's already writing it down. He
is a music journalist and a boxing journalist now today
all right, his way up.
Speaker 6 (04:17):
They says in the rooms.
Speaker 4 (04:19):
From industry shade to all of gosp out angels, feeling that.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
It's way up. At Angela, Yee, I'm here and music
journalists beat out his here and we were talking about
this fight Mike Tyson versus Jake Paul is going down tonight. Yes,
on Netflix.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
I've been watching old Mike Tyson clips in preparation for tonight.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Have you watched the road towards this fight on Netflix?
Speaker 5 (04:41):
Also?
Speaker 7 (04:42):
Yes, I've been watching here and there, but I like
watching the old YouTube clips of him at press conferences.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
He was a wow boy. Well he even spoke to
Jazzy little young Jazzy thirteen year old. I remember when
she was like seven. But anyway, she had some questions
for him and he did not hold back.
Speaker 7 (04:59):
So, you're such a successful career, what type of legacy
would you like to leave behind when it's all said
and done.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
Legacy doesn't mean nothing.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
That's just some word everybody grabbed on to. I'm just
passing through. I'm gonna die and it's going to be
over with dust. Absolutely nothing.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Well, thank you so much for sharing that. That is
something that I have not heard before someone say that
as an answered.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
I think Mike forgot. He was talking to a kid.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
No, he did. What would you have said if he
said that to you as a journalist.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Well, I've never heard that before, Daddy said, Jazzy held
it down, man.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
She did, and she was like, thank you very much.
All right, Well, this was going viral. Yesterday. Mike Tyson
also slapped Jake Paul in the face they were having
their final stare down. Tyson weighed in at two hundred
and thirty three pounds. Jake Paul weighed in at two
hundred and twenty pounds, which is a career high for him,
and according to a source ESPN, they told the ESPN
(05:54):
that Tyson reacted to Jake Paul purposefully stepping on his
foot all right during that staredown, and Mike Tyson then
got fed up and just slapped them.
Speaker 7 (06:04):
Yeah, a slap is disrespectful of this nineties. Mike Tyson
is like O six Gucci. Man, it's very unstable.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Well, here's what Jake Paul had to say after that slap.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
He's an angry little elf, Mike Tyson.
Speaker 6 (06:15):
I thought that was a cute slap, buddy, But tomorrow
you're getting knocked out.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Come on, well after oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
After the fight, Matic gonna eat his children.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
And you know, let's talk about the numbers though, because
Mike Tyson, you know, is getting twenty million dollars. Jake
Paul is getting forty million.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
We could get the effect on some.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Type of cash register. Twenty million, And do you feel
like that's fair like that? I mean forty versus twenty million.
I mean they're both huge numbers. Right, Come on, Mike
Tyson should get more than twenty million. If Jake Paul
is getting forty, no.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
At least thirty nine for Mike, right, all right.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Well, anyway, Mike Tyson also has been doing a lot
of press and according to a new Interview magazine feature,
he was tucking to Rosie Perez and during the end
of their conversation he said, Hey, life isn't over yet.
He's talking a lot about legacy here, he is, We're
still fighting. We only make it out on the day
of our death. There's no way I should really be
talking to you right now here. All my friends are dead.
(07:17):
They odd they had AIDS. Me and my friend both
had sex with this girl at the same time, and
they both died of AIDS. I didn't catch AIDS raw too.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
Wow, I'm glad.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
I didn't tell Jase that. Oh my goodness. Well Rosie
Perez said, well, thank you for sharing that. Nobody's no,
she said, that's crazy. You have a spirit hovering over you.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
That Mike Tyson biopic is going to be legendary.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Whenever it dropped he did that one man show. I
went to that. Remember when he had that one man show.
He definitely went to that.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
But yes, he's lived a life all right. And Conan
O'Brien is going to be hosting the twenty twenty five Oscars.
Nice Emmy winning comedian, writer, producer, and former late night host.
He's been tapped to host the ninety seventh Oscars. Here's
what he had to say with the announcement. Holding holding
an Oscar.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
This is incredible. I've been handed an oscar. I'm an
Oscar winner. Oh I'm hosting.
Speaker 6 (08:14):
Yes, I'm an Oscar host.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Do I still get to keep the Oscar? And is
it or second? I'm looking forward to that. He's a
funny Ginger.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
He is funny. Is Ginger offensive?
Speaker 1 (08:24):
I hope not?
Speaker 2 (08:24):
All right, I don't know if it is. I love
Ginger to where my stomach is. Anyway, that is your
Yet when we come back, we have about last night.
That's where we discussed what we did last night. I
had a good night last night too, and we'll talk
about it. It's way up, so about last night.
Speaker 7 (08:40):
Yes, he is that.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
I went down.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
It's way up at the Angela. Yee, I'm here, my
guy beat outs here. What did you do last night?
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Well, I did my weekly Instagram series.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
I saw that you were talking about classic albums.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Yes, it's called Unlisted.
Speaker 7 (08:56):
I do what every Thursday at six pm Eastern and
this week I discussed best solo debut album.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
But you didn't put Lauren Hill on there.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
Well, that's a neo solo album.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
That is a hip hop album.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
It's a neo soul album. It has hip hop elements,
but it has who said that me? I said it?
Speaker 2 (09:12):
That is not that's a hip hop album.
Speaker 7 (09:14):
Okay, that's true, but yeah, but it was fun. So
you know, I do it with in conjunction with the
stream on Instagram Live.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
So we try to come up with a definitive list.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
What was your list?
Speaker 7 (09:25):
Let's see at number ten, I had college dropout number nine,
only dif for cupa links number eight and one on
one seven, Ready to Die, six Dark and Hell's Hot five,
Get Richard, I trying four, Reasonable Doubt, three, Omadic two,
doggy Style.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Number one of the Chronic okay, and Currency weighting as well.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
What okay, you know what's crazy?
Speaker 6 (09:44):
I know.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
The Chronic is Doctor Dre's album. I never looked at
it as a solo al because there's so many people
featured on it. It's not really him rapping. It's more
like a production.
Speaker 7 (09:53):
It's funny he said that because Currency came on the
live and he said, nah, that's a compilation.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
I was like, nah.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
I didn't look at it like Doctor very rapping on
the album like that. I looked at it as a
lot of Death Row artists.
Speaker 7 (10:04):
Okay, that's fair, but it's still a solo debut. But
that's what it is. None listed every Thursday.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
What you do with Angela Well, and one thing I
just want to say, I did love Jesus Liquid. So
it's a classic debut album. Okay, I'm glad we agree
on agree. We agreed on something.
Speaker 5 (10:23):
Well.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
Yesterday I was with my girl Ada Rodriguez and she
was doing a live taping of her Say What You
Mean podcast, So she interviewed me, and then after me,
she did Michael Chay And when I tell you, Michael
cha is so funny. First of all, afterward I said
thank you for putting him on after me, because I
would have hated to follow Michael j but he is
so funny, and we had a chance to get up
(10:44):
there and just talk about things that we wish we
would have said in the moment. I have so many
times that I feel like I could have said something different.
But I also am, I really am very like strategic
about what I say and don't say. I always overthink.
My response is because I know when you say something,
words last a long time and they have meeting and
you can't take it back.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
That's your Capricorn showing right.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
So a lot of times I want to say things
and I don't, But I say a lot of stuff
in my head. Yes, trust and believe all right, all right, well,
when we come back, tell us a secret. Eight hundred
two ninety two fifty one fifty is the number. Any
secret that you have, we want to hear it. We're
not going to judge you.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
I'm a little bit.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
No, we're not. That's the whole point of it. We're
not going to judge. You're anonymous. Eight hundred two ninety
two fifty one fifty. Call us up, tell us a secret.
And listen, guys, this is not staged in any way.
Y'all are crazy, all right, it's way up.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
This is a judgment free zone. Tell us a secret.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
Ay, it's way up. At Angela. Yee, I'm here, my
guy beat out here be What else would I be? Man?
People got so many secrets, so many Okay, and it's
a Friday, so why not go into the weekend getting
all these secrets out the way. We're anonymous. When you
guys call in and we don't judge you anonymous, call
it what's your secret?
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (12:00):
And no one has never known this. But I did
talk to.
Speaker 8 (12:05):
Twin brothers before and they didn't know about it.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Cool twin brothers. How did they? They must not have
been friends with each other if they both didn't know.
Speaker 6 (12:13):
They stayed in different states. And so I dealt with
once when I was seventeen, and then I dealt with
the other like two years the time and came down.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
The other one was in jail.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
Do one live in New York and one in New
Jersey or something?
Speaker 5 (12:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (12:28):
And you know what's funny, one was in New Jersey
and one was in Florida.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
Okay, well you have a type certainly.
Speaker 6 (12:34):
Yeah, you know.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
So, I mean, were they identical of fraternal twins?
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (12:40):
She like she got a type, Like he looked he's
in jail. I take this twin? Was? Was you think
more lit for you?
Speaker 8 (12:47):
It was the second twin the second time that that
was the twend he was the more lit one.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
Could you tell them apart?
Speaker 6 (12:54):
Yeah, you could tell them apart, but I mean you
would have to know them. The tough part.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
You didn't like, switch up, mess up, call one the
other name?
Speaker 6 (13:02):
Oh no, because you know how poins.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
They was everything the same signs if you know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Oh my gosh, Angela.
Speaker 6 (13:13):
No, the second one was bigger. That's probably why it
was more fun.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Oh well, who knew the twin was like man you
took all of that. Now I'm left with this.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
Gotta put myself up for adoption. After that?
Speaker 2 (13:24):
Was he the older one or the younger one?
Speaker 6 (13:26):
He was the younger point?
Speaker 2 (13:28):
Oh wow, so they left that for him. Okay, all right,
well thank you. We got to do a study on this.
Oh my gosh, heyns color was good. Hey, you want
to tell me and beat out a secret?
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Please?
Speaker 6 (13:41):
My secrets. I have a boyfriend that I've been with
for about seven years, and he's.
Speaker 8 (13:47):
A good guy, but he's him once some months with my.
Speaker 7 (13:53):
Well, look, she has a schedule once a month you've
been with You've been with him for seven years, so
why are you staying so long?
Speaker 8 (13:59):
Because he's a great otherwise, Yeah, he can't help that.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
You know better, go to the gas station, get one
of those.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
Pills, and there's nothing he could really do about it.
So your ex knows that he's just like the tune
up guy.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
God absolutely doesn't matter. You guys have been lying to us.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
I have a question though, being with a guy who's small. Right,
if he's with you in bed and he's like, is
this the biggest you ever had? What do you say?
Is he like apologetic?
Speaker 3 (14:31):
No?
Speaker 8 (14:32):
But he knows that he's not like the biggest.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
How do you know he knows? Like what does he say?
Speaker 8 (14:37):
Oh well, because there was a path where I seated
and the guy sent him a video, and uh so
he knows.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Oh wow, savage. Okay, if he passed the bleach, please, well,
thank you for calling in, for sharing with us. Okay,
she just sometimes has to you know, no experience other
things satisfaction. All right, Well again it's a no judgment zone.
(15:06):
Beat out. Okay, so no bleach for you. That was
tell us a secret. And when we come back, we
have your yee tea, and let's talk about Shine. He
has things to say about Diddy, and Ditty is not
liking this. He's like enough already, all right, I can't
wait to get your opinion on this beat out.
Speaker 4 (15:20):
It's way up, yore, she's about to blow the lid
ab off this spot.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
Let's get it.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
Oh yeah, angelus feeling that yee te Come and get
the tea.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
It's way yep, but angela, yee, I'm here and music
journalist beat out his hair beat out. All right, let's
get into it. So Shine has been talking about being
a sacrificial lamb in Diddy's demonic plot. He's been doing
a lot of interviews lately, and here he is with
Stephen A. Smith discussing how he ended up being the
(15:48):
fall guy for Diddy.
Speaker 8 (15:50):
Was I the sacrificial lamb?
Speaker 6 (15:51):
Of course?
Speaker 7 (15:52):
Did I take the fall?
Speaker 1 (15:53):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (15:54):
There was no quick pro quote. There was not listening.
We're gonna have ten million dollars waiting for you when
you come out.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
I'll just do it, right, Think I did.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
That on my ome?
Speaker 2 (16:02):
All right? Well, Diddy's rep is now saying mister Combs
categorically denies mister Barrow's allegations, including any suggestion that he
orchestrated mister Barrow to take the fall or sacrificed him
by directing witnesses to testify against him. These claims are
unequivocally false.
Speaker 7 (16:18):
See I'm a Shin fan, but I have to call
a spade a spade. It feels what he said is
disingenuous because literally a year ago he was on stage
of Puff and it seems like he used Puff celebrity
for his own benefit. So if he felt that way,
why are you still on stage with him?
Speaker 2 (16:32):
I mean, I think he has said he's forgiven right
that and he said, okay, and back to Ditty spokesperson.
Mister Combs is acquitted of all charges related to the
nineteen ninety nine Club New York incident and has consistently
maintained his innocence. He cannot accept or condone any characterization
of his actions as demonic or malicious. Right, but you
know that was always the rumor that he took the
(16:54):
fall right even back then, and the woman did say
that Puff shoder and correct.
Speaker 7 (17:01):
But I'm just saying, is that if you felt that
way about Puff, why still you can still forgive somebody,
But I wouldn't necessarily work with you at that point.
Speaker 5 (17:09):
Right.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
Well, you know he's got this documentary oh as well,
I don't say all right now, Sugar Knight, in the meantime,
sat down with Michael Frenzies from behind Bars and talked
about did he grooming justin Bieber and Usher? Now? He
said a lot of things that I feel like are
very explicit, and I also don't want to put it
(17:31):
all the way out there, so I'll just give you
a more PG version of what Sugar is saying.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
Now, one person didn't know that Puffy was Usher. Now,
one person didn't know what's The saddest scene in the
world is what they did. Consisted Beer had six footy.
Everybody said what was done the usher than to Justin.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
Beeber Come on, man, he Guessa said some things about Snoop.
You know, Sugar went.
Speaker 7 (17:55):
From death row to gossip Girl. I think he used
to focus on his twenty fifty one release.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
I think right now he's trying to get his get
back on everybody that you know, and he can say
anything because people are like, why don't you sue him
for what?
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Get back to yourself?
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Yeah, like, what what are you going to get out
of suing shook Knight for him saying anything? Right now?
All right, and on a positive note, let's talk about
Kardak Black. He was with Gillian Wallow and they were
trying to really like help him out with you know,
it seems like Kodak is always going through a lot. Yeah,
he's been in and out of prison. He's also been
(18:29):
struggling with his addiction and having appearances that make people
feel concerned about him. But you know, when people on
social media weigh in, it's not usually helpful. All right, Well,
here is what Wallow had to say.
Speaker 9 (18:42):
Forget me man, He's special don't ever doubt yourself. You
got them babies count on you. You got to be
here live. These people want to laugh, they want to joke,
they want to criticize. They don't know your pain. I
don't know your pain, but I know one thing, them
babies counting on you.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
Don't hurt yourself. Brother.
Speaker 7 (18:58):
That sounds like an after school's pure music playing. It's
like a sick call.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
Well he was really going hard though. They were sitting outside,
and Kodaks seem to be receiving this. I think it's
easy to receive it too, from somebody who's been through
a lot, you know, like he has. Because it's one
thing when somebody who ain't been through nothing tries to
tell you something. But it's a whole nother situation when
somebody who has experienced being in a prison and not
wanting to go back and changing his life around. That
(19:25):
person maybe will come at you from a different angle.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
You might be a little bit more receptive to it.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Exactly. Yeah, So okay, I don't even know what that
just said. All right, Well that is your Yet when
we come back, we have under the radar. These are
the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines. They're
flying under the radar, but we definitely feel like you
need to know about him regardless, it's way up.
Speaker 4 (19:47):
It's in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
It's way up at Angela. Yee, I'm here. My guy
beat out his here you are him? All right, Well,
let's get into these under the radars. Now, the average
rate on a thirty year mortgage in the US has
slipped to six point seven eight percent. Nice, But according
to reports, they're talking about Donald Trump and his plans
to lower tax rates, increase tariffs, reduce regulation that could
(20:14):
ultimately lead to a higher US government debt and inflation
along with faster economic growth. And so they're saying mortgage
rates should remain volatile this year, but by next year
they should hover around six percent and twenty twenty five.
It's crazy because during the pandemic they were like historically low,
and even right before that, my mortgage rate is three
(20:35):
point twenty five percent. I don't know if we'll see
that again.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
You got that in like in the eighties, but no,
it is.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
During the pandemic. But what makes it really And in
the eighties it was high, right, you know, It's interesting
because mortgage rates were so high when they dropped to
the like low as in the threes, that was like
unheard of, and so now we got kind of used
to that, and now these numbers sound really really high
to us. But yeah, that's why a lot of people
don't want to sell their house if they have a mortgage,
because you don't want to get into another mortgage with
(21:01):
a higher rate.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
That's a fact, especially in New York.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
All right. Now, usobesity has reached a crisis point. A
new study that looked into the epidemic predicted that two
hundred and sixty million Americans could be obese or overweight
by twenty fifty. Fat obesity among US adult and all
the teens has doubled in the last three decades, and
being overweight and obese are among the fastest growing risk
factors for early death. So while there is demand for
(21:28):
weight loss drugs and that has been increasing, they're not
a silver bullet, and they're asking for more focus on prevention,
starting with pregnancy and infant feeding practices, healthier school meals,
and nutrition regulations. There's a lot of things we eat
here in the United States that they don't eat in
other countries that are like banned, and so when you
travel and you're like, why does this taste so good
and fresh? It's because we eat anything here, right, So yes,
(21:52):
And I always felt like in school we do need
to monitor more of what kids are eating.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
School lunches.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Man memberim school lunches want to all right? In, the
FBI says they stopped a possible terrorist attack in Houston. Annasai,
twenty eight years old, was charged with attempting to provide
material support to ISIS. This man was carrying out a
possible terrorist attack. They said, any day we can publicly
say that is a good day. He was charged last
(22:19):
month with attempting to provide that and they said he
was arrested last week at the Houston apartment complex where
he is alleged to have planned the attack. They accused
him of bragging that he would commit a nine to
eleven style attack if he had the resources. Wow, all right,
well that is your under the radar now. We do
have the way up mixed at the top of the
hour on a Friday. Also, man, I love this for us.
(22:40):
Lenna Whitfield is going to be joining us her movie
that she's starring in Albany Road is out today in
AMC theaters, So make sure you go and support because
we need to make sure movies like this continue to
be made, shown, supported, funded, all of the things. All Right,
it's way up, Walla, just like the.
Speaker 6 (22:57):
Tut like they am jal jan like they a jalj man.
Speaker 4 (23:00):
She's spilling it off. This is yet way up.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
It's way up at Angela. Yea, I'm here, beat out.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
Here, Well it was beat out. I'm here.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
Let's get into some of yeat now. You know TMD
has been doing this docu sentaries about the downfall of Diddy. Yes, right,
and Stevie J was interviewed on here and he talks
about his private in person conversation with Diddy right after
that hotel video where he was beating Cassie came out.
Here's what he said.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
I saw the video.
Speaker 10 (23:29):
I went and saw him in Miami and we had
a conversation and I let him know how effected I
was by that. And I didn't know that he had
that in him to do that. I just know that
he was in a dark place his life as he
described to me. You know, he was just doing a
lot of drugs and it was just it was just
dark for him.
Speaker 7 (23:47):
When you remember you just introduced this, you said it
was private. I think you should just remain private conversation.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
Well, yeah, everybody's doing interviews.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
You know what.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
Stevie j is probably gonna be targeted in this too though,
because he was present. You know, he's what did he
a lot?
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (24:03):
So who knows behind the scenes how this is all
going to play out because there's a lot of different players.
We told you about the attorney Tony Busby and how
he's saying that anybody who was there and didn't prevent
things from happening are also going to be held liable.
My gosh, what were you there?
Speaker 1 (24:20):
And I wasn't there?
Speaker 2 (24:21):
Oh right, it was like this sounded all right. And
congratulations to n Ali Chappa. Shout out to his mom Angela.
She posted a nine billion streams, over twenty five platinum
and gold plaques. Numbers don't lie, respect it. And here
is the video of them just presenting this to him.
Nine billion streams and over twenty five and platinum records.
(24:46):
You have surpassed all expectations and continue to.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
I mean, if you was a bad chick, you would
stream him too. Angela yep, a billion.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
Times uh and Big Bus, congratulations to her. We're celebrating
everybody right now. She got a gold record for her
Pretty Girl's Walk and here is what she sounded like
they were. Actually it looks like they were having like
a dinner. They gave her her plaque and it was
very exciting for her. Shout out to Big Boss bed, Hey,
how you walkod ay?
Speaker 1 (25:22):
They walk her first joint and then went gold.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
She said, one down many to come. Shout out God
and my team. We went gold baby, all right, yes indeed.
And other good news, Gonna donated two hundred thousand dollars
to his hometown South Fult in Atlanta, So shout out
to him. We love seeing good positive things thousand happening.
And so to boy. He was on with Kai Sanat
(25:45):
and people are definitely excited over the freestyle that he
didn't even you said, yeah, can't be mad at it
all right here it is puflections, be faking the wrestler.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
I don't drop brick like textures. I'm will up on
fresh and white people like Electra.
Speaker 3 (26:04):
You're yellow.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
That stretcher pictures were yellow.
Speaker 6 (26:06):
Sho put up your know that on popping.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
I'm trying the top on that Lombow pop nice Carmen
Electra reference.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
So yeah, this is a real freestyle. You know how
people say they freestyling, but it's written. It looked like
he really was just you know, that was definitely you think, absolutely, Okay,
it's trying to help here. You don't have them come
up here, all right, but that is your yet and
you know it's a new music Friday, so this is
very music focused.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
You love this, I love it.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
And there's a lot of new music out today, all right,
so we'll talk about that. So get ready to figure
out what you're going to be streaming over the weekend.
It's way out its.
Speaker 4 (26:40):
Relationship For career advice, Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
You should you should know. This is as key what's
up his way up? But Angela, yee, I'm here and
my guy beat out us here. Are you ready to
get some advice?
Speaker 5 (26:50):
Just do it?
Speaker 2 (26:51):
All right? Well eight hundred and two ninety two fifty
one fifty Today's Carla wants to remain anonymous. So anonymous, calor,
what is your question for asking you?
Speaker 8 (27:00):
I am in love with a married woman?
Speaker 2 (27:03):
Okay, how do you guys know each other?
Speaker 8 (27:05):
He works together.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Oh so her wife just thinks that she's going to
work not knowing what's going on.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
Absolutely, you guys had a girls' night out yet girls
night in?
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (27:17):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
So what do you think is going to happen? Are
you trying to get her to leave her wife? Or
is she just looking at you as just you know,
fun times.
Speaker 8 (27:25):
It started off as a hook thaw, we thought, and
then things progressed. We have not made a decision. I
will never tell anybody to leave their significant other. I
don't even do this type of thing. But for me
to even be in this situation and calling here is
such such a huge thing for me that I am conflicted.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Let me ask you, what's the policy at your job too,
about like hooking up with somebody? Because you got to
take all those things into consideration.
Speaker 8 (27:52):
Right, maybe this is the mecca of nepotism, But the
fact is that everybody knows her wife.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
How long has she's been married for.
Speaker 8 (28:04):
About three four years?
Speaker 2 (28:06):
Is she having problems in her relationship at home? Is
this why she stepped out? Or is everything good at home?
And this is just what she was doing for no reason?
Speaker 8 (28:14):
That art Oh wow, but I've never felt this way
before by nobody before and all of the things. But
literally I cannot shake this.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
And you know what is also going to be really
difficult is if things don't work out, what's the plan
at work? Because you know what also makes it difficult
you see her every day.
Speaker 8 (28:32):
Yeah, she said the same thing. If it doesn't work out,
what does it look like?
Speaker 2 (28:36):
Well, listen, I just don't want to sit and badly
for you because it feels like she has a pattern
of doing things like this. She's in a relationship. It
doesn't feel like she wants to leave her wife because
they get along fine. Right, everybody at work knows this person.
You're gonna end up being a bad guy. Oh man,
I'm just being honest, Like nobody wants to be the
(28:57):
knowing side piece. It's one thing of you a side
piece and didn't know it's a whole other thing if
you know all the details and you still go along
with it. Angela, Oh okay, I'm being honest. And it's
hard to take yourself out of a situation because it
feel like it seems like you think this is your
soul made or something, and it's only been four months
(29:17):
and you know that is still the honeymoon phase. It's
this is true, you know, so you don't know what
you're gonna feel like, and I would hate to see
you risk all of this for something that's not going
to go anywhere.
Speaker 5 (29:28):
Fair fair, And you.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
Know, sometimes when we're in something a few months from now,
you look back and be like, what the hell was
I thinking? Because how are you going to feel if
you capture with somebody else or you're not the only person?
Speaker 8 (29:39):
And that's my biggest fear. That's why I keep breaking
up with every day.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Every day, every other day. You love some dscussion, don't you, girl.
Speaker 6 (29:50):
I'm a little bit toxic.
Speaker 2 (29:51):
You loving it? You love this, sneaking around at work,
the little arguments getting back together, the makeup sex, that part,
all right, well, listen, I think this is real life,
the real world. This is your career.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
Also as a breakup on a zoom.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
All right, Well that was ask ye. And when we
come back, we have a legend joining us, and you know,
I love her like this is just exciting to me.
Lyn Whitfield's my friend. She still looks great, she looks amazing.
I think she's single, all right. Well, anyway, okay, look
at us publicly all right, when we come back, Lenda
Whitfield is gonna be here and she'll be talking about
(30:31):
the new movie that she's in us out today. Albany
Road is way up.
Speaker 7 (30:35):
No beg, We're about to do this one of memos
to famous women in radio vidio.
Speaker 4 (30:40):
We're talking about Angela Yee. You're way up with Angela ye.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
Please believe that.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
What's up? It's way up with Angela Yee. And leck,
my friend is in the building, Miss Linda Whitfield is here.
Speaker 11 (30:51):
Good Bye, Jela, Thank you for having me back. I mean,
we're making this fuck a habit.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
Listen, I love this for me. Okay, but Albani Road,
this movie is coming out today and it's an AMC
theaters right, yes.
Speaker 11 (31:04):
Select AMC theaters in many cities. I think we're on
one hundred and thirty screens across the country, so people
just need to check and see which one we're in.
They can prop their feet up to have a little
cocktail or little soda and you.
Speaker 5 (31:20):
Know, visit with us.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
And this is definitely that type of movie.
Speaker 11 (31:23):
Now.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
It did win Best feat of Film at the Martha's
Vineyard African American Film Festival, which is a huge deal,
and I can see why you can.
Speaker 5 (31:32):
And we want other ones too. We want about four.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
The Detroit Black Film Festival, Yes, the oak Park Black
Film Festival, and the Golden Thumb Award at Ebertfest.
Speaker 7 (31:43):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
Yes, I saw the comparisons, like it's a blend of
Thelma and Louise terms of endearment, a dash of Fargo.
It also kind of reminded me of planes, trains and
automobiles a little bit. Yeah, if we know that movie
where it's like, you have to get somewhere, but now
you're stuck jriving with somebody in the car who maybe
you didn't want to be stuck driving with.
Speaker 11 (32:01):
So we are so Renee Alice Goldsbury, we are stuck
in the car together. She's an executive, very ambitious, going
to make the presentation of her life.
Speaker 7 (32:12):
She was, I know you.
Speaker 11 (32:15):
Because my girl, you have a vision. That's how we
have way up with it nor exactly. So it's that
kind of vision that she has for herself. But she
ends up having to rent a car with a woman
who is the mother of her ex fiance, and the
(32:36):
mother had something to do the break up. So they're
stuck in a car together and it's like funny it is.
It's like the odd couple. It's two women who really
don't want to speak to each other, don't have much
to say, don't really like each other, but need each other.
And what happens and how that the journey of them
gaining respect for each other and coming into a family
(33:01):
situation and you know, girl table scenes and families getting
get together for a family dinner. It can go up
or down, right or left, but you know, if people
are feeling some kind of way, things come up and
come out.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
So it's all of that stuff all at the same time.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
Right now, I'm talking to the star of Albany Row,
but just a star in real life. Lenna Whitfield is here.
The movie is in theaters right now.
Speaker 11 (33:27):
And what is impressive about this movie is that Michael
Swanson and Christine Swanson paid for this movie themselves.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
Well, we have to make sure we support this.
Speaker 5 (33:37):
They financed the movie.
Speaker 11 (33:39):
They're distributing this movie in partnership with AMC Theaters, and
they believe in their stories.
Speaker 5 (33:45):
And Christine Swanson is a woman.
Speaker 11 (33:48):
She raised her four kids, took fifteen years off and
then came back directing television and she's a writer and
director so. And the great thing is this movie is
just a out interesting.
Speaker 5 (34:01):
People who are black people.
Speaker 11 (34:04):
They haven't who they want something, they have obstacles to something,
and they find ways to get it with themes of like,
you know, we can't live in fear.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
Lenna Whitfield is here. We have more with her when
we come back. But make sure you guys check out
Albany Road in there. That is today. It's way up, buddy,
what you all been waiting for?
Speaker 4 (34:28):
You're way up with Angela Yee?
Speaker 2 (34:30):
What's up this? Way up with Angela Yee? And you know,
I love these conversations. I got my girl Lynn and
Whitfield in the building. There was that meme that would
go around where it was like, I've never seen Lynn
Wifield not.
Speaker 5 (34:40):
Be like, yeah, they play a lot of things and
live with film, never played broke ever.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
And I was like, okay, not that you were broke
in this at all by any means, but I was like, maybe,
you know, looking at that means.
Speaker 5 (34:52):
It's not a self awareness.
Speaker 11 (34:54):
It's not an awareness of how you're presenting in space
like Lady May was, or Brandy Webb was, or even
Eve Baptiste and Eve's by you.
Speaker 5 (35:06):
I mean we just Roslin Baptist. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
We saw Debbie Morgan up here and she was like,
I gotta go say hi because as you was just
exciting to have both.
Speaker 11 (35:17):
Yeah, oh, very exciting. Yeah, we didn't know when we
did that we were making a classic.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
You know, And think about it, like the two of
you happened to be up here at the same time
with projects, like you know, how amazing that is to
see this decades later, like here we are running into
each other doing press. That's incredible.
Speaker 5 (35:36):
Yeah, I love that. Angel.
Speaker 11 (35:38):
If God says the same, I can't imagine that I'll
ever want to not be telling stories. It's so much
fun to jump into other people's scan, other people's sensibility,
other people's action. I can whip somebody's ass in a
movie and not have any consequence.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
Right, and then go to Magic City and.
Speaker 11 (36:02):
And you had nothing, and then you know, reap the
benefit of you know, my fandom, you know, and be
forgiven for it all. I mean, it's so much fun.
It's such a blessing to have a passion for something.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
Right now, I'm talking to the star of Albany Road,
but just a star in real life. Lynna Whitfield is here.
The movie is in theaters right now, and I appreciate
you so much for how you showed up when we
did lift service, because I think the Lynn Whitfield story
is it too like that alone is a movie enough
for you to be open about like things in your
(36:38):
life and talk about that and share that with the world.
You know, people know who you are, they know your roles,
but then who is Lynn Whitfield.
Speaker 5 (36:46):
But in that environment, I felt, I don't know how,
probably because.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
Of you, and we had watch that.
Speaker 11 (36:53):
I had my Saki, I s pasaki, y'all had my
saki inside did.
Speaker 5 (36:57):
That and I felt comfortable that I didn't stop sippy.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
The whole time that was But you know, we need
that and I love and I think, even in the
spirit of sisterhood, to be able to sit down and
talk to each other and love each other and tell
stories and have a good time and share things.
Speaker 11 (37:15):
And you know what else, I think if I went
through it, like the Indians say, if you sacrifice an animal, okay,
but don't let anything be wasted. So sometimes I think
if I can have the it's not courage, it's something
else or lack of something to actually say this is
what I went through.
Speaker 5 (37:36):
It may help somebody, right.
Speaker 2 (37:37):
It's raw honesty. Yeah, Miss lib with Fields, I appreciate
you so much as always. Congratulations on Aubany Road. Honestly,
like y'all make sure you go check it out today
and limited AMC theaters. We got to support this for
all of the reasons that we just discussed.
Speaker 5 (37:52):
But if anything, because you'll have a good time and
be entertained.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
You have a good time, You're gonna laugh, you're gonna cry,
You're gonna love everybody who's in your life just a
little bit more.
Speaker 11 (38:02):
I know.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
Like the tagline says, take the journey you didn't know
you need it?
Speaker 2 (38:07):
All right? Well, you can watch that boat interview with
Lynn Whitfield on my YouTube channel Way Up with Ye
And when we come back, you guys have the last word.
Speaker 4 (38:16):
Take up the phone, tapping it gets your voice heard.
Speaker 6 (38:20):
What the word?
Speaker 11 (38:21):
He is?
Speaker 2 (38:22):
The last word on Way Up with Angela?
Speaker 11 (38:24):
Ye?
Speaker 2 (38:24):
What's up? His Way Up with Angela?
Speaker 4 (38:26):
Yee.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
I'm here beat. I was with me all day to
day and yesterday and you fed me too. And look
are you going back to Queens after this?
Speaker 1 (38:34):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (38:34):
I am.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
Well, there is a whole queen story that's out right now,
So tell us about this.
Speaker 7 (38:39):
So last week I'm hooked up with the homie Brad
who runs this page reminists Underscore. It's a little docu
series where he goes with Native New Yorkers and you
take him around the neighborhood. So I took him to mine,
which is South Jamaica Queens, and I showed him where
I grew up on Liverpool Street.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
And we also went to the Coliseum block on Jamaica
Avenue on the sixty fifth Street.
Speaker 2 (38:58):
Well, we have a little snippet of that here.
Speaker 7 (39:00):
It is a lot of legendary things happened here. A
lot of videos were shot here. Ll cool J shot
his shut him Down video right here. The ice cream
by the Wu Tang Clan Ray Kwan that was shot here,
right by Uncle Ralph McDaniels, John Ruse Murder for Life
went down right here. It's crazy to see anytime I
come down here and seeing it the way it is,
because I remember how it.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
Used to be.
Speaker 7 (39:22):
You know, it used to be a lot of people
there used to go get your slice of pizza, your
beef patty and cheese and talk to a girl, get
your sneakers.
Speaker 1 (39:28):
But now it's just like a ghost down so it
breaks my heart a little bit.
Speaker 2 (39:31):
Well, they say, you watched that episode and check beat
that out so you can see where he's from, so
you know not to ever go there. Yes, it's on
my Instagram hand be dot t your I think I'm
gonna do it too. Yes, I'm for Flatbush baby. All right,
well you guys have a safe weekend. We'll be watching
this Mike Tyson Jake pod fight tonight. I cannot wait
to see what's gonna happen. It's way up. I ain't
(39:51):
gonna lie.
Speaker 4 (39:51):
Every time I argue with my girl, I always feel
like I had fun. I should have been here, like,
well you ain't do the skipt this last night, but relationships.
Speaker 6 (40:01):
Angela Ye, I want to sign a light on my
song Trail.
Speaker 8 (40:05):
Today is his birthday and I just want to say
happy birthday to him.
Speaker 6 (40:09):
And also I want to say congratulations going making straight
age this entire year and finish his strong and I
appreciate you for being a great gone.

up with angela Ye.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
I wanting now ow
