was like, it's real, it's really happy to listen.

Speaker 5 (00:35):
This is like And he called right when the show
was starting, and then his English wasn't that great, so
I was trying to like communicate what was happening.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
But I was like, gotta go, gotta go, gotta go.

Speaker 5 (00:46):
I tried to rush them off the pumpany Yeah, Normally
I don't answer calls if I don't know the number,
but today I did. But anyway, we're here, Good morning everybody.
Mano's in the building. He had a party last night,
so we on one today. He's drinking tea.

(01:22):
and then you can do it. But let's shine a
light eight hundred two nineteen fifty one fifty. Call us
up and let us know who you want to spread
some love to. Who do you want to shine a
light on?

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Its way up?

Speaker 4 (01:31):

Speaker 7 (01:34):
Turn your lights on, y'all, light spreading love to those
who are doing greatness.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Shine a light on them, Shine the light on.

Speaker 7 (01:43):
It's time to shine a light on them.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
All right, it's way up.

Speaker 5 (01:46):
I'm Angela Yee and mainos here no man, good morning.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
You're gonna love this shine of light.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
Okay, I know this is gonna feel great to you
spreading some love. But today we want to shine a
light on somebody in Atlanta. Nikki Crass. He has a
bus and on this bus, as you can see, he
has washing machines, and so what he does is he
helps people who are on house be able to wash
their clothes so that they have clean clothes to.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Wear for the week, and it's called the laundry Bus.

Speaker 5 (02:15):
He unbuiled this at a Juneteenth event in downtown Atlanta,
and he partnered with several other organizations to get this done.
And he also helps people get haircuts and things like
that that they need because housing is such a huge issue.
He said, a lot of times, it's not people that
smell us their clothes and we have to wear the
same clothes day in and day out, and it's so he.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
Just rides around and just pulls up on people.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Hey, yeah, people can come on there, you know, wash
their clothes.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
And he said, is he like taking the clothes off
their back and washing them?

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Now?

Speaker 5 (02:44):
I think usually you know, people will have some clothes,
but yeah, they'll be able to do that. So that's
nice that you can have that basic human necessity, just
some clean clothes.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
All right.

Speaker 5 (02:53):
So shout out to you for that, Nikki kr for
that is amazing.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
All right. Well that is my shiner light.

Speaker 5 (02:59):
Now, who do you guys want to spread some love
to eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty raquel,
who do you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 8 (03:06):
I want to shine a light on my man, my man,
my man from Jersey City, just because you know, he's
been going to a lot as a father, as a
black man, and he is really doing big things. And
if nobody's gonna support him, I'm gonna support him. So
I'm trying to light on him and I love him.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
What's his name?

Speaker 8 (03:24):
Good Wayne from Jersey City?

Speaker 5 (03:26):
All right, da Wayne from Jersey City. Your girl loves you.
You are her may her man. Sound like y'all had
a good night last night too. I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 8 (03:33):
We always have good nights.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
Okay, six, okay, Raquel?

Speaker 8 (03:41):
All right, Angela, thank you so much. I appreciate all
that you do and so I'm gonna sinn light on YouTube.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Well, thank you. I used to live in Jersey City.

Speaker 8 (03:49):
All right, well, thank you, thank you, Angela.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
Well that would shine a light eight hundred and two
ninety two fifty one fifty just in case you couldn't
get through and some ut when we come back and
kenya more, what is going on with Real Housewives of Atlanta?
Will tell you some exclusives from Love Be Scott and
what people are saying. But it looks like she's not
getting her peach. It's way up.

Speaker 7 (04:10):
Sure she's about to blow the lead ab off this spot.

Speaker 9 (04:12):
Let's get it.

Speaker 7 (04:13):
Oh yeah, angelus feeling at yee te.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Come and get the tea. All right, it's way up.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
I'm here, mano's here, no, mane. Oh, let's get into
some yet. I know you don't watch Real Housewives of Atlanta?

Speaker 10 (04:23):
Do you?

Speaker 4 (04:23):
Absolutely not?

Speaker 11 (04:24):
All right?

Speaker 5 (04:25):
Well, Kenya Moore, according to love be Scott, has been
fired from the Real Housewives of Atlanta. According to sources,
she's been barred from filming the rest of the season
and the network is figuring out how to cut her
from what's been filmed already so that she doesn't appear
in this new season at all. And this is all
after she allegedly posted sexually explicit images of Brittany Edie,

(04:47):
who's joined the show, performing oral sex at her hair
salon opening event. Really, they said, the moment was so
shocking that the entire cast walked out as.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
An unfolded.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
But how does she get that for?

Speaker 5 (05:00):
I guess people had it and she's she posted it.
I don't know, But according to other sources, they told
TMZ that Kenya will not return as a cast member
for the rest of production for the new season after
she was sidelined, but they're saying she's not been fired.
Both sides have agreed that she's going to just take
a break from the show for now, and Bravo is
keeping the door open for a future return. But Kenya

(05:23):
is considering legal options at this point because she's not
happy with how this whole thing unfolded. Now, Candy did
come to her defense after all of this and said that,
you know, she feels like she should still be on
the show and gave her explanation.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Now.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
Candy also recently did an interview where she told Page
six their virtual reality podcasts that she stopped using ozembic
because she did not get the results that she was
supposed to get.

Speaker 11 (05:51):
As sure. I tried it and I didn't lose any weight.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
You know.

Speaker 11 (05:54):
My daughter was like, I don't know what the problem is.
I've not seen this in other people. It didn't hear
my app. I know some people like, oh, I can't
eat you. So I gained I didn't lose anything. The
sad thing about it is when you see it work
for other people and it doesn't work for you, it
makes you do press.

Speaker 5 (06:11):
All right, So yeah, that has to be tough and listen,
I know a lot of people who started doing ozembic
or some of these other weight loss drugs and then
stopped because of other issues. Because sometimes it can make
you be constipated. It can definitely do a lot, and
when you stop using it, a lot of times people
do gain that weight back.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Right, So basically you gotta use it fast forever.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Yeah, it is definitely.

Speaker 5 (06:33):
I mean it was for diabetes initially, and so that
was medication.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
You have to be on forever.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
All right, Well that is your yet and when we
come back, we have about last night. You had a
party last night, man, know, we want to hear all
about it. All right, that's why you drinking tea with
honey right now. It's way up.

Speaker 7 (06:51):
So about last night, Yes, I went down.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
All right, it's way up.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
I'm here mainos here normal, it's time for about last night.
I actually went to the Commissioner's Cup game, the New
York Liberty versus the Minnesota Lynx with my girl, Kimo Sarrio.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
Kim is my dog.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Yeah, that's what she was taking today.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
We know we wrote a cop show together.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
Yeah, what's going on with that?

Speaker 4 (07:18):
It's coming. We gotta we gotta hustle it. We gotta
get busy.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
Kim does not play with her writing, producing all of that.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Unfortunately, the New York.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
Liberty lost, but it was a really good game. Ninety
four eighty nine. They lost, and so the Links won
the Commissioner's Cup trophy, which is the first time they've won.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
I think the Liberty won last year.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
Now, normally the game would be at the Barclays, but
tonight is the draft, so they're getting ready for the
NBA Draft at the Barclays. So it was at the
UVS Arena. It was my first time there. But shout
out to everyone who was there. My guy Jamie Hector
was in the building. Malibu Mitch was there. Okay, okay,
Bobby Schmurder was thereby.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Now you had a party last night.

Speaker 6 (07:56):
I didn't technically have a party. I was part of
a party. I did a song with when my man
Davies with this brand aces and they have you know this,
this this situation with T and T. So this song
that we did about last year was was included in
the finals. So when they would go to commercial break,
they would play.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
The song That's dope.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
It's dope. So they had an.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
Event for it yesterday. They have something going on with Jordan.
They got a lot going on. Shout out to Aces
and Brian. Yeah, and they had a party at say Less,
so we.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
Was all there.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
I love say let's shout out to our gout Dora.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
I seen Dollar last night.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
They saw our t.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
At say Less my tea company. Yeah, and that's why
your voice sounds like this today.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
You know, I was I was on the street. I
was on the street saving and saving, saving the city.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
It was like a spades tournament or something.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
I don't know about that.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
It was a lot going on.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
In the city.

Speaker 5 (08:48):
Saying that.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Somebody told me that.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
I was like, what was not by the time I
want that?

Speaker 6 (08:52):
All right?

Speaker 5 (08:52):
Well, it's good times. But shout out to everybody who
goes out to the w n b A games. Definitely
really exciting to watch. And to the Elephant, who I
believe is the best mascot in any sport whatsoever. Ellie
be getting it like dancing. Everything's super entertaining. Everybody loves Ellie.
So shout out to Ellie. And when we come back,
you know what it is? What day is it?

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Wednesday?

Speaker 1 (09:15):
You know that?

Speaker 4 (09:15):
Wow, I forgot I don't know, Yeah, I really didn't know.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
Tell us a secret when we come back.

Speaker 5 (09:21):
You missed the other day, took her boyfriend's dog and
brought the dog to the dog pound after they broke up.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
And he does not know.

Speaker 5 (09:30):
To this day. That's foul that that happens. So hopefully
somebody gave that dog a beautiful home. But I know
he was devastated. That's awful. But y'all got some secrets,
and we're not here to judge you. We're just here
to listen. You get to remain anonymous. Eight hundred to
ninety two fifty one fifty is a number. Call us
up and tell us a secret.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
Again.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
That's eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. And
Mano is not judging today because he is halfway out
of it.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
It's way up. This is a judgment free zone. Tell
us a secret.

Speaker 5 (10:00):
Hey, what's up? It is Wednesday, it's a hump day.
I know y'all got some good secrets. I mean Angela,
ye Manos here, it's just his favorite segment. Once again,
eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty is
a number.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
You stay anonymous. There's no judgment from us.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
I'm not gonna do it.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
And you're gonna tell us a secret. Hello, Anonymous, call it.
What's your secret?

Speaker 12 (10:18):
My secret is, before me and my boyfriend got together,
he had met with his best friend's sister.

Speaker 13 (10:26):
And when we went together, and we had a little
argument and he slid back in.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
Her d him.

Speaker 12 (10:30):
So I screenshoted and stun it to her brother. Now
her brother's not at him, but he don't know why
he's not at him. I don't want to tell him
what I did to we made up.

Speaker 5 (10:39):
Wow, he's gonna eventually have to tell him. Wonder why
his best friend didn't tell him?

Speaker 3 (10:43):
Like you, he's like.

Speaker 8 (10:46):
Betting ignore him, like he has not mentioned anything, been talking.

Speaker 12 (10:49):
To him, been around on nothing, like you can tell
he's not. Have you said why he's not?

Speaker 5 (10:54):
Are you still with him?

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (10:55):
We made up?

Speaker 4 (10:56):
See, well see you made up anyway.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
Well I'm still with them anyway.

Speaker 5 (11:02):
All right, Well, thank you for calling. Good luck in
your relationship. Anonymous calling what's your secret?

Speaker 2 (11:08):
My secret is? I've been working as an employer, but
I told my wife that I.

Speaker 15 (11:12):
Own my own business, So now I got to give
my own business because my funds is getting tight.

Speaker 6 (11:18):
So basically you a catfish.

Speaker 15 (11:22):
Yeah, really you are the thing is my business is
not big enough to grow. I'm only one person, so
the help that I need is not there. But I
have to present myself as another guy saying that I
got a job to do, which is a job, but
the job that I get doesn't pay like a contract.

Speaker 5 (11:45):
It feels like you're making excuses for not being honest.
I am honest because I think your wife would be,
so she wouldn't be supportive of you, no matter what.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
She's not though. Any project that I have that's not employee,
it's trying to be part of my painting service. There's
no type of support. No, that's just a regular job.
You ain't making enough money, so it's like I'm never
making enough money.

Speaker 5 (12:12):
Yeah, it's never well, this feels like it's going to
be a cycle.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
If it's never enough, we'll.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
Get your new wife.

Speaker 15 (12:17):
He and may.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
No, I need to know where should I start to
start my own business.

Speaker 5 (12:24):
You already have a business, No, right, you have an LLC.
You just want to take it to the next level.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Absolutely.

Speaker 5 (12:30):
I think references are always a great thing. You got
to make sure people know you have these services available.
Start within your circle and make sure you do great work,
and then eventually you have to expand and hire other people.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Okay, Before I can hire, I need that job.

Speaker 5 (12:45):
Okay, I'm fine with that. It's your wife that has
the issue. These are all choices that you make in
your relationship. And you can either tell her the truth,
come clean and let her know I'm trying to get
my business going and I'm running low on funds.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Or you can continue the way that you are doing.

Speaker 5 (13:01):
This is where you're being deceptive and giving her all
your money but not handling your business for yourself. But
you have to make that decision absolutely. But listen, we
gotta go. But thank you so much for sharing with us.
And now you gotta let you let your wife know.
That's what marriage is about, being honest. All right, Well,
that was tell us a secret. He really wanted some
business help. On a wealth Wednesday. And when we come back,

(13:22):
we have your yet and fifty cent and Tyler Perry,
who what a thunket that is?

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Like his mentor now will talk about it.

Speaker 5 (13:29):
It's way up, they say in the rooms from industry
shade to all.

Speaker 7 (13:34):
Of gossip out sending Angelus speeling that yet to.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
On his way up.

Speaker 5 (13:40):
I'm here, Mano's here yea t time and we were
vibing out. Flow. Millie just did Tiny Desk, so shout
out to her for that. It's Black Music Months, so
what they're doing at Tiny Desk is giving the women
their flowers. They're releasing nine Tiny Desk concerts from black
women artists and that is going to range from veterans
who paved the way to people who are carving their

(14:02):
own paths right now and flow Millie had a great one.
This sounds so good here is and you love this song.
You actually got chills.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
Crazy.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
Here's mill on Tiny Desk.

Speaker 13 (14:21):
Didn't know Rachel.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
She's doing good.

Speaker 5 (14:26):
She being me so she feel like a movie bros.

Speaker 9 (14:32):
Never been a group.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
We're still on.

Speaker 10 (14:35):
Me.

Speaker 9 (14:36):
Never want to lose me.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
Yeah, yeah, a lot of she's talking real life though.

Speaker 15 (14:42):
I like you little life.

Speaker 5 (14:43):
You like it? Yeah, And just so you guys know,
watch it because she did do a new verse exclusively
for Tiny Desks for that song.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
She did a special rendition.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
Like was she fight over fights? You like fuation?

Speaker 14 (14:58):
Right?

Speaker 5 (14:58):
And Trina and her and Benjamin Kerris Junior recently got married,
so congratulations to them.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
That's so cute.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
We knew she was engaged. Nobody knew.

Speaker 5 (15:10):
Well, people are looking at when the licensed number happened,
when the application date happened, and all of that. So, yeah,
it was a bit of a secret for Trina. But
she is a married lady now and m I A
has launched a new line of products to protect people
from radiation and she's working with Alex Jones to help

(15:31):
promote them. All right, So, in case you haven't had
a chance to see it here, man, no, you can see.
It's like oil outfits a pancho that's made with.

Speaker 4 (15:44):
This is for real.

Speaker 5 (15:45):
Yeah, something that can help you become in visits you
did for protection, thermal imaging.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
Drones and things like that.

Speaker 5 (15:52):
She said, future backwards is are you tef If the
conspiracy theorists are wrong, good for you. You own some beautiful
clothes made with pure silver and pressure just metals. But
if they are right, you just might have saved the
future of humanity.

Speaker 4 (16:05):
I can't wait to get your hat.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
Yeah, I'm gonna get you this hat.

Speaker 5 (16:08):
And there's also a data protection dump bag as well
in case you need. Yeah, I feel like you have
some glasses like that, all right now. JT was recently
sitting down with Kiki Palmer to discuss the issues that
she had with Young Miami that played out very publicly
on Twitter. They have of course since made up. And
here's what you have to say.

Speaker 13 (16:28):
I was more like, more so hurt and gag like
I did not want that to happen. It was stupid
and it's done now. It's just a funny thing of time.
So it's like, I can't believe, you know, yeah, I.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
Did not like that at all.

Speaker 5 (16:43):
I know, and I'm glad, and you know what, things
do happen when you work with somebody closely, and it's
good that you can let that happen and then move
on past it and feel like it's just a.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
I know.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
But you know the problem is that in this day
and age, things play out on the inter and not
so much, and people will weigh in and be like, oh,
it looked like they're not messing with each other.

Speaker 4 (17:03):
I feel like the people.

Speaker 6 (17:04):
I feel like they allow people to bring them in
there because people were saying stuff for so long and and.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
Then next thing, you know, you feel like sub me.

Speaker 5 (17:12):
Yeah, all right, well that is your Yet when we
come back, we have under the radar. These are the
stories that are flying under the radar. They are not
in the headlines, but you need to know about them.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
It's way up. God got news.

Speaker 7 (17:22):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
All right, it's way up.

Speaker 5 (17:28):
I'm here manos in the building, right you ready for
these under the radar stories on a wealth Wednesday. So
in Denver they did a basic income project and it
gave people experiencing homelessness one thousand dollars a month, and
a year later, nearly half of the participants had housing.
It was actually a whole project that they did. It

(17:50):
was an experiment, and so more than eight hundred people
were selected to participate, and there was one group. Group
A got one thousand dollars per month for a year.
Group B got sixty five hundred dollars for the first
month and then five hundred dollars for the next eleven months,
and then groups see who was the control group they
got fifty dollars per month, And so about forty five
percent of participants in all of the groups were living

(18:12):
in a house or apartment that they rented our own
by the end of the ten months. They did say
though towards the end of the experiment a lot of
people did have a little bit of panic when they
knew the payments would be ending, as would be natural now.
Mark Donovan is the founder and executive director of the
Denver Basic Income Project. He said his goal is to
make this permanent. He said, we believe the first year

(18:33):
of the program established a sensustability for participants. The second
year and beyond is when individuals can experience and even
more profound transformation. And they want policymakers to establish permanent
funding streams for programs like that. You know, it actually
does also save money for people. You know, when we
pay our taxes, it does save money for things that

(18:57):
are being paid for with your taxes. By doing something
like this, people might be like, we're just giving money away,
but what you're actually doing is setting up like that
sense of stability for people. And so it's definitely feels
like a good thing to be able to do. You know,
you never know when something like that can happen, and
that is you're under the radar now.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
You know, we have the way up Mix at the
top of the hour and.

Speaker 5 (19:19):
It is a Wealth Wednesday, So we'll be talking to
Divine Reef. She previously had gotten a shine of lights
because she is a black woman who owns multiple hotels.
Every time I run into her, she's like, what are
you going to buy your first hotel? And she also
has Amar Head and Damon Smith with her. We're going
to talk about all things like funding, management, everything you
need to know about owning a hotel. You may feel

(19:40):
like that's impossible, but it's definitely not. We're going to
tell you how. It's way up way She's like the
like they Angel Jean, like they and Jeli Jean.

Speaker 7 (19:50):
And she's spilling it all. This is yet way up.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
It's way up.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
I'm here, Mayno's individal Yep, yep, we way up. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I see you. Well okay, Well fifty cent has found
a new mentor with Tyler Perry. After going to visit
his studio, which was very inspirational. He said, I'm leaving
no room for error. Tyler showed me some ish today
that inspired me. I need all my money. If you
owe me, you better.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
Give me mine now now money man.

Speaker 5 (20:18):
Yes, So congratulations to him for that. It's not a competition.
Tyler Perry's actually like, let me help you get this
done and listen, we need more studios and more places.

Speaker 4 (20:27):
That's how I was supposed to go, man Like, people's
supposed to pass the game.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
All right.

Speaker 5 (20:30):
Now, Megan the Stallion is going to be kicking off
the twenty twenty four BET Awards show. You know, her
album is coming out too, on Friday, so that's great
for her. Timing is perfect because the BET Awards are
on Sunday. And she also, by the way, added two
more dates to the Hot Girl Summer Tour, so Atlanta
and Charlotte. She is coming back to those venues next

(20:51):
week July second at the State Farm Arena and July
third and Charlotte at the P and C Music Pavilion.
But I did see she's turnding because she did cancel
a couple of dates in the UK. So that means
in order to do this, she canceled Glasgow and Dublin.

Speaker 14 (21:06):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (21:06):
Yeah, just to do this.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
I mean, maybe it's a timing for the album.

Speaker 5 (21:10):
Maybe the shows were so sold up before that she
wanted to come back. But you know, for those people
that were like come back, she is. And she did
a collabor with Amazon for Prime Day. She's in the
commercial for Prime Day. And here is what that sounded like.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
In a shop all the time. Who won't fix Amazon
Lona and then't hard to find out that.

Speaker 9 (21:34):
I'm locking peg on my animals.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
And she also has her own Prime Day pis page
so people can buy stuff that's on her personal page
as well. And she has Hot Girl Summer Tour Merchant
collection that's going to be an exclusive collaboration with Amazon Music.
She her check Listen. First of all, we love Prime Day.
You know how much stuff I order from off of
there between there between, Wayfair between all of these places

(21:59):
like their life savers, all right, and we love.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
A good collaboration.

Speaker 5 (22:03):
Two Change has partnered with Smoothie King ahead of the
Atlanta Hawks draft party, and that's one of his favorite retailers.
He's teamed up with that franchise to open a new
kiosk at the State Farm Arena in Georgia, and so
that's going to make its debut on June twenty sixth today,
which is also when they're hosting the twenty twenty four
NBA Draft party for the Hawks.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
You know that these.

Speaker 5 (22:23):
Collabs are no joke and shout out to all of
the artists getting their money. Tyler the Creator has announced
his tenth annual camp Flognow Music Festival is going to
be happening. That festival seems like it goes absolutely crazy.
They're going to have advanced sale passes starting tomorrow and
American Express Card members can access passes at nine to
eight am Pacific time tomorrow as well. So congratulations to

(22:48):
him for that. That's something I feel like we need
to be at.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
What that all festival?

Speaker 5 (22:54):
Yes, the camp Flagnog Carnival, you know, so yeah, make
sure you guys check that out the advance. It's going
to be November sixteenth and seventeenth, by the way, and
the lineup is going to be announced soon. And Andre
three thousand has announced his fall North American tour New
Blue Sun Live in concert feels very grown to go

(23:14):
to the Yeah Grown and Sexy So tickets are going
on sale for that on Friday.

Speaker 3 (23:19):
So many concerts, I know.

Speaker 5 (23:20):
We've been talking about a lot of different shows, like
Sexy Red is going on tour. We told you post
Malone is going on tour. Well, which one Sexy Red?
Sexy Red for President. And Anderson Pac has announced his
fall tour that's playing the Malibu album in its entirety.
I love when artists do classic albums and do a
tour where they play it from front to.

Speaker 4 (23:40):
The whole album.

Speaker 5 (23:40):
Yeah, you know a lot of the I remember Jizz
did that for Liquid Swords.

Speaker 4 (23:45):
Before Whole did something like that.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 13 (23:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
Those are always uh reasonable doubt.

Speaker 5 (23:51):
Those are always nice things to be able to attend.
And Shaboozi has announced a new tour as well and
said I put a lot of time and years into it.
So congratlations to Shabuuzi. That is going to start September
September eighteenth or September ninth in Minneapolis, So congratulations. All right, Well,
ask ye is next? Eight hundred two nine two fifty

(24:12):
one fifty. It's me and the award winning, award winning
advice giving ask me, ask me as in Mano all right,
eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
Ask ye is next?

Speaker 7 (24:24):
All right, everybody with it's relationship for career advice. Angela's
dropping facts.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
You should know.

Speaker 5 (24:30):
This is ask ye.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
What's up his way up at Angela? Yee, I'm here.

Speaker 5 (24:34):
Mano's here now to be Claire. Mana is an award
winning advice giver, so we are blessed to have him.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
I'm really good.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
Yeah, No, you're.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
Amazing, like the greatest advice giver.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:43):
So we have somebody on the line that needs our help.

Speaker 12 (24:46):
Hey, Keisha, Hey Angela, how you doing.

Speaker 5 (24:49):
I'm good.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
How are you?

Speaker 12 (24:51):
I'm doing?

Speaker 14 (24:51):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (24:52):
All right? So what is your question for? Ask ye
and ask mano.

Speaker 12 (24:55):
I'm in a situation ship where I know it needs
to end, where I don't want it to end because
feelings are caught and you are strong. But why is it?

Speaker 3 (25:07):
Why is it going nowhere?

Speaker 4 (25:12):
I mean, she's just start laughing, like why does it
have to end? What kind of situation is it?

Speaker 3 (25:17):
She like, I feel so ridiculous.

Speaker 12 (25:20):
I do, I really do, because I know what's wrong.
He does have a partner.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
Okay, so you're the side piece kind of yeah.

Speaker 12 (25:28):
But I don't want to be seen. There's no side
because I feel more value my position. I deserve more.

Speaker 5 (25:34):
I agree that you deserve one, but let's call it
what it is. You got to be brutally honest with yourself.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (25:39):
So he's not leaving his wife, correct, And he's told
you that.

Speaker 12 (25:44):
I never asked him to you, but I just I
already know that it's not going to happen, and I
don't want to see happened.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
But you don't want it to happen. So what do
you want?

Speaker 2 (25:53):
I want to leave?

Speaker 5 (25:54):
You want to leave? And what is stopping you? Because
your feelings are involved? Yeah, every single day that you
decide to stay, it's going to be another day that
you are preventing yourself from finding what's truly out there
for you.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
You think you're the only side piece.

Speaker 12 (26:10):
I know that I am.

Speaker 6 (26:12):
How do you know that you don't want and know
only the baby?

Speaker 4 (26:16):
That's right?

Speaker 3 (26:16):
Don't let man no gash you up? Stop it.

Speaker 4 (26:21):
You the one to know, baby you up.

Speaker 5 (26:23):
Does his wife know about you?

Speaker 2 (26:25):
No?

Speaker 1 (26:25):
She does not.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
Would you mind being in a relationship with his wife too?

Speaker 1 (26:30):
No?

Speaker 12 (26:30):
Because I don't want to share.

Speaker 6 (26:33):
But you already well, make it makes sense your mind
as well.

Speaker 4 (26:39):
Just come under one roof like, make it makes sense
you already?

Speaker 3 (26:42):
This cannot be the answer every time?

Speaker 12 (26:45):
Cannot.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
I just want to share.

Speaker 5 (26:48):
It would be nice to have somebody that you could
call anytime you feel like it, that you could see
wherever you want.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
Who you can, and you could be miserable in that
same situation.

Speaker 5 (26:56):
You want vacations with eventually started life with and every
single day that you are committing yourself to this person, who,
by the way, has his cake and eat it. So
he got this woman over here, he got you. That's
got to understand what his situation is and play your position.
You not to play your position happy.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
Oh, that's the thing.

Speaker 6 (27:15):
And she's happy though you're happy, she's not happy.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
That guy makes her feel happy right.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
When he's there and when he's.

Speaker 5 (27:23):
That's what counts. That's the only matter. I want you
to be happy more frequently.

Speaker 6 (27:28):
Talk to him about coming under one roof with his
wife and y'all be sister wise.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
I'm telling you that'll.

Speaker 5 (27:34):
Work already in his miming that I don't want it.
If you don't want that, go for what you want,
don't settle for what you have that part Kisa like
I'm doing whatever anyway. I'm just saying, this is going
to drag you out. It's not going well. But you
know you can make a decision and move on that

(27:58):
or let it happen to you. Are you gonna make
it happen for you or let it happen to you?
But I'm just hoping that this doesn't end badly for
you and your feelings are gonna end up getting way
more hurt later.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
Listen, go out and make it happen.

Speaker 5 (28:13):
Either stay and settle or get out there and make
your pursue your happiness.

Speaker 8 (28:20):
Okay, advice under the roof, girl, stop playing all right?

Speaker 5 (28:30):
Well that was asking you eight hundred and two ninety
two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through, we'll
still take your voicemail and when we come back, man,
talk about empowerment. I got my girl, Devon Reeves joining us.
She is a black woman who owns multiple hotels, and
she brought her team.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
With her, Omrie Head and Damon Smith.

Speaker 5 (28:45):
When we're talking about management, financing all of the things
that you need to know because you can do it too,
it's way up.

Speaker 14 (28:51):
I had a dream of wealthy, and I don't mind
sharing my wealth dog getting you straight financially, mentally and physically.

Speaker 7 (28:59):
This is wealth Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (29:01):
What's up this way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 5 (29:03):
I'm Angela Yee and my girl is here, Devon Reeves. Okay,
you know her from the Vaughn group, but she is
a hotel owner. You own three hotels, correct, and you
are always trying to get me to invest in hotel.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
Ownership, but you actually have two people with you.

Speaker 5 (29:19):
This is a whole tri effecta when it comes to
investing in hotel ownership.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
All right, so we have Damon Smith here. You are
the owner of Senergy Management, Senergy House Chality Management, Yes,
Senegy Hospitality Management, Which what do you do?

Speaker 1 (29:32):
So we are a third party management company, so we
manage hotels for hotel owners and we're also hotel investors
as well, myself.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
And my wife. Okay, how many hotels currently.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
We're managing four and we have three in pipeline under
contract to transact by the end of August.

Speaker 5 (29:47):
Okay, and on Marie Head is here. You are a
hotel broker.

Speaker 9 (29:49):
Correct, So what I do is two hats. One is
I hope people sell their hotels.

Speaker 5 (29:54):
Right now, Devon Reeves from the Von group, O, Marie Head,
and Damon Smith are here talking about hotel ownership. Yeah,
when it comes to hotel ownership, what percentage of black
people are hotel owner is divined.

Speaker 16 (30:05):
So they're actually over fifty nine thousand hotels in the
United States and less than one percent of the hotels
are owned by black people, less than probably what zero
point five percent probably owned by black women.

Speaker 5 (30:18):
That is insane because we definitely stay at some hotels,
work at hotels.

Speaker 16 (30:23):
So there was a report that was put out I
think it was by MMG Global that was put out
in twenty nineteen, I believe, and as a Black community,
the Black travel dollar was over one hundred and nine
with billion, but yet we own less than one percent,
So we're not even really circulating that money within our communities.

(30:43):
And so I'm on a mission, actually all three of us,
we're on a mission to increase that. So I have courses,
you know, I have the book by Hotel.

Speaker 9 (30:53):
You know.

Speaker 16 (30:53):
I've launched a platform called a Vestor's crowd funding platform
where individuals are sponsors can raise capital or equity for
their hotel. And one of the main reasons I create
Investor so folks can actually invest in me. You can
invest in properties is little as five thousand dollars. Typically

(31:15):
investing in hotels is a minimum of seven figures or
very high six figures. And I saw that there was
an opportunity for our community because there are people who
do want to diversify their investment portfolio. And so that's
why I wanted to make sure that I see people
who look like me, you know, in the ownership space.

(31:36):
I'm glad that at these ownership conferences there's more and
more people who are looking like us. When I'm in
the boardrooms, I want to see more people who look
like me. I want to see more owner representation. And
the reason why because owners make decisions right.

Speaker 9 (31:52):
We can put people in jobs.

Speaker 16 (31:53):
If somebody wants to actually do business with the hotel,
meaning you know, put their soaps.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
Put their coffee in, and that's a big deal.

Speaker 16 (32:01):
I saw that there was an opportunity and now I'm
in a position and I've created a community and a platform,
and the brands are and they've been seeing their brands,
hotel brands that have diversity programs. Choice has the Emerging
Markets will now it's sore, WNDOM has Bold and Women
on the Room, and IHG has the Lift program and
so they're really starting to see the opportunity of diverse

(32:25):
hotel owners and they're working.

Speaker 9 (32:27):
With folks like myself to get the message.

Speaker 5 (32:30):
Up all right again, we have Devinea Reeves from the
Von Group, a mari Head and Damon Smith here with us.
We're talking about ownership of hotels. You might have never
thought you could do that, but they'll explain how and
what resources are available to you.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
We have more with them when we come back. It's
way up on a Wealth Wednesday.

Speaker 14 (32:47):
Kind of dream of wealthy and I don't mind sharing
my wealth dogs.

Speaker 7 (32:50):
Getting you straight financially, mentally and physically. This is Wealth
Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (32:57):
Its Way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee and
happy Wealth Wednesday. We have Devna Reads from the Vonn
Group alongside o Marie Head and Damon Smith here with
us today talking about hotel ownership and Damon, you're getting
emotional and so I would love for you to jump
in just because I feel like there's something that you
want to.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
You know, I'm a very spiritual person.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
You know, there's a theme of faith because when you're
doing something that nobody else believes that you can do,
and everybody tells you no, yeah, but you know that
you know that you have been called and anointed to
do what you're doing. The necessity to be resolute in
the face of every mountain that's in front of you.

(33:35):
One of the things that gravitated me towards Yvonne is
her undying commitment to not just being a hotel owner,
but the education platform. Yeah, she's talking about two of
her investors that started off as investors with her. We
just took over their first hotel, Solo Hotel in Memphis,

(33:58):
and we're getting ready to take over their second hotel,
their first full service hotel, my first full service hotel
under management in July. And I get emotional because I
think back when I was washing those dishes, and I
don't give nothing for my journey. It's just an amazing
feeling when you trap it out with your tribe, you

(34:19):
know what I'm saying. So this isn't just something that
happened overnight and we're just like sitting up here hanging out,
and you know, it's it's something that is cultivated. You know,
I'm from Alabama and my family's been in agriculture for
a long time. So I believe in what you plant,
giving it the love that it needs because it's not

(34:39):
just the soil, it's not just the water, it's not
just the sun, but everything that you put into that
seed makes it growth.

Speaker 5 (34:46):
Right now, Devna Reeves from the Vine Group, O Mari
Head and Damon Smith are here talking about hotel ownership
for anybody listening and if they're like, okay, I'm interested,
what would you tell them? Is the first step to
figure out how can I get on this path to
ho tell ownership?

Speaker 9 (35:00):
First, see what your bank account looking like.

Speaker 16 (35:02):
So talk to your financial advisor to see if you
can go in the path of owning. Go investing, okay,
And then also investing in hotels has its benefits when
it comes to Texas. Okay, right, So that's why we
always say, talk to your financial advisor to see what
works for you. But if you know, if you don't
have that much, probably the most economical way to get
started investing in hotels would be reads of real estate

(35:25):
investment trusts, and that's it's essentially kind of like investment stock.

Speaker 9 (35:30):
Or you can invest in a piece of a hotel.
It's like a piece of a hotel.

Speaker 16 (35:33):
But if you want to invest directly into the hotel,
finding folks like us, but the biggest thing you go
to investor let him knowur dot com and the book
and exactly listen, this has been amazing valuable information. So
where can people find each one of you if they
want to follow you and get started on their journey

(35:56):
figuring out what they want to do and making sure
they have credible people that they can get knowledge from.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
You can find me on Instagram at hotel Guru g
U r U one nine zero six. Obviously, you can
look up our company at www. Dot Synergyhospitalitygroup dot com.
O Marihead on Instagram at hip hop hotel broker Dave Varnreeves.

Speaker 16 (36:18):
I'm on Instagram. You can find me on LinkedIn and
you can also go to Vestor dot com which is
v E S T E r R dot com. And
I want to thank you Angela for bringing us on.
This is history right here, to have a black owned
hotel management company, to have a black hotel broker who's
transacted over a billion dollars in sales, to have one

(36:42):
of the few black hotel black female hotel owners.

Speaker 9 (36:44):
So I just appreciate you so much.

Speaker 5 (36:46):
All right, Well, thank you guys for joining us again.
That's Devon Reeves, O Marihead and Damon Smith. It's a
Wealth Wednesday. You can watch that full interview on my
YouTube channel Way Up with Ye And when we come back,

Yes, our girl Terray who's in here, she sleeps ten
hours a night and she takes naps.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
So shout out to her for that.

Speaker 4 (38:01):
And sleep for her.

Speaker 5 (38:05):
But listen, of course, this is y'all show, and you
guys have the last word.

Speaker 12 (38:09):
Hey, Hey, Pam, I'm trying to get this off my
chest yard. I've been treating on my wife and I
missed my ex.

Speaker 10 (38:15):
I like the shinlan on me. Race Herford from Jamesville, Wisconsin.
I'm the only black owned firework tech in Wisconsin. I
have three locations, one in Jamesville, Wisconsin, one in Wisconsin Delle's,
and one in Green Bay, Wisconsin. If you ain't shopping
with Herfs, you ain't getting your work.

Speaker 7 (38:33):
