You got to make it to this men's experience. But anyway,
eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty isn't a

do you want to shine a light on? Eight hundred
two nine fifty one fifty. It's way up at Angela.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Yee, we go up, Maine machine. Turn your lights on,

Wednesday?
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Okay, it's honey pack hump day. Stop it, stop stopping it.
And of course we are shining a light and I
want to shine a light on somebody. I was just
in Detroit and I was dealing with the building that
I bought. If you look on my Instagram, you could
see the real that I did. That house should that
building as a house. It's a thirty unit building in
midtown Detroit. It should be ready next year by May,
(04:03):
all right. And it's all cosmetic stuff that has to
be done. It's nothing like. The electrical is fine, the
plumbing is good. It's all been updated up to code.
So we just have a cosmetic work that we need
to get done. But somebody else I saw while I
was in Detroit Hill.
Speaker 5 (04:16):
Harper Hill, Arnold Hill.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Yes, and he owns the Fisher Mansion out there, so
he does events there. It's a beautiful, beautiful mansion in
Boston Edison and he actually uses that space. He lets
people come in and do like events for nonprofits. He
has a lot of amazing artwork in there. One artist
who I love, Micheleen Thomas. He has this huge piece
of art that she did. But he's also going to
be announcing his candidacy that represent Michigan in the Senate,
(04:42):
and he's going to be doing that soon. I'm not
gonna he told us a day but I'm not going
to say. But I know a lot of people know
he'll be announcing that. But I did have a chance
to sit down with him and just talk about all
the things that he's concerned about. I love when people
are like really caring about issues and trying to figure
out solutions.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Trying to actually really do something.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
Yes, I want to shine a light on Hill Harper
this morning. Now, who do you guys want to shine
a light on? Eight hundred two ninet two fifty one
fifty is a number, Brandon, who you want to shine
a light on?
Speaker 7 (05:09):
I want to shine a light on my mother and
my siblings, my sisters, and my wife. I had a
heart transplant in February. They just been holding me down
ever since. Truly appreciated not just his family, but as
good human beings.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
That's amazing. Brandon. You had a heart transplant. That must
have been really tough.
Speaker 7 (05:25):
Oh man, I got a second release for one life.
I'm truly blessed.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
All right, you are blessed.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
We shout out to them because I know all that
love and support helped me, helped you.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Make it through. Yes, ma'am, all right, thank you, Brandon,
thank you. Hey, Jasmine, what's up?
Speaker 8 (05:40):
Hey?
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Who do you want to shine a light on?
Speaker 8 (05:43):
I want to shind the light on my husband Andrew.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Okay, tell us why.
Speaker 8 (05:48):
Because you've been doing the truck and industry for like
ten years and put everything's falling off and stuff like that.
We were struggling for a long time. But he was
able to come back home and be old more with
the kids and actually found something that's entrepreneurship and he's
happy with that.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Oh okay, and listen, ain't nothing better than when y'all
been struggling together and you make it through to.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
The other side.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Yeah, for sure, Jasmine, and Andrew. How long you've been married
for you?
Speaker 2 (06:17):
And Andrew? How long you'll been married for?
Speaker 8 (06:19):
Like thirteen years?
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Thattin is my lucky number. So I feel like this
is gonna be a good year. Thank you, all right,
thank you, Jasmine. All right, all right, well that was
shining a light on. I'm eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty just in case you couldn't get through.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
And when we come back, we have your yee t.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
We'll talk about Kwondo Rondo he was granted bond, and
we'll talk about Casanova and tell you what he was sentenced.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
It's way up at Angela Yee wall. She's like the
talk like they Angela Jean, like they Angela jee Man.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
She's spilling it all. This is yeak, way up.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
What's up? It's way up at.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Angela ye I'm Angela Yee and my guy mate I
was here yes back new Mano.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
You know they said this fo this smoke is supposed
to come back in the sky.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
We saw that, right, I saw that yesterday. How is
it still burning over there?
Speaker 2 (07:10):
I guess so it's moving back this way.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Wow, all right, Doctor Jerry and Andy Martinez are going
to be getting stars.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
On the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This major yes.
Speaker 5 (07:19):
Shout out to Angie.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
So On Monday, the committee comprised the former Walk of
Fame honorees announced the new honorees in a press conference
from among hundreds of nominations, and then it was ratified.
So shout out to them.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
Yes, Angie Martine, is that as amazing well deserved.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
I was just over there walking looking at the store
stars on the Hollywood Walker Fame when I was out there,
So that has to be a great feeling to go
over there and see your star on the ground.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
Absolutely, So you just walked down aimlessly down.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
Holliday at the Loew's. Yeah, when we did be mixy
over there, Harry mixing extremely.
Speaker 5 (07:55):
It used to be my favorite place to stay out
and then it.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Got extremely mixing.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
Yeah, but it was fine, it was cool, it was convenient,
and you know, we were outside walking, so imagine that.
And then you'd be over there scraping gum off your
name and stuff like that. You'd be like, hold on,
who's big gum over here?
Speaker 5 (08:10):
Forty second Street.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
But shout out to Angie, all right.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
And Casanova was sentenced to over fifteen years in prison,
and that's for racketeering. He was arrested two years ago
and now he's gotten his prison sentence.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
He was facing up to.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Sixty years, by the way, and yesterday he was sentenced
to fifteen a little more than fifteen years.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
Man hate the heir of that man, Yes, hate the
heir that hate to see that with cast well.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
He was one of eighteen alleged gang members who were
indicted in December twenty twenty on criminal charges of racketeering
and narcotics offenses in a connection with his leadership role
in the Untouchable guerrilla Stone Nation's Blood gang.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
So he did admit.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
He told prosecutors he played a role in a July
twenty twenty Florida shooting and a New York City robbery
in twenty eighteen, and admitted that he trafficked over one
hundred kilos of marijuana. You know, the crazy thing is
Casanova is a super nice guy when you were good
du great energy, his family, and I know he's going
through a lot, right.
Speaker 5 (09:08):
Absolutely, you know.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
I mean, you know the thing about social media, You
see all these stories and you hear about people getting time,
But you know, when you when you that person get
in time, it's not a.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
Game, right, It's definitely not you know, and I understand
you know for families and people who went through whatever
that he confessed to doing something. You do things, and
he admitted to doing things. So unfortunately, now you have.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
To sometimes you take please just because the deck is stacked,
that begins to you. That doesn't always mean that you're
absolutely guilty of the crime.
Speaker 9 (09:43):
You know.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
It's just unfortunate in.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
Fact, you know, but you know what he was facing
up to sixty years, so it definitely could have been
a lot worse, all right. Kwanda Rondo was granted one
hundred thousand dollars bond in his gang indictment case. He
was one of nineteen people listed in a multiple page
indictment and the judge did announce that he met the
initial requirements for bill set it at one hundred thousand dollars,
(10:05):
and in her court order, she said, the court finds
it significant that defendant surrendered himself for arrest the day
after he learned of the warrant for his arrest. So
now he has to maintain his bond and ensure that
he'll stay out of prison until his trial. So he'll
be required to surrender his passport, have no contact with
his co defendants, won't carry or own a firearm, won't
use or possess a legal drugs wave extradition and he
(10:26):
can't break any laws, and he'll have to appear at
all of his court hearings. He was hit with four
felony charges in a forty nine count indictment earlier this month.
Woo now, listen, I did do this sit down interview, right, Yes, ma'am.
He kept calling me ma'am during that, and I had
a lot of great conversations with him off camera. And
(10:48):
so when things like this happen and you get a
chance to sit down with people and really see who
they are just out of the public eye, because it's difficult.
He was really really young, and he grew up in
foster care, moving around. His own aunt sent him to jail.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Here's what some of the things that he had to
say in that interview.
Speaker 9 (11:05):
Even though I know I ain't living all the way right,
nobody perfect, we human, I still pray to God. I'm like, Lord,
he's like just on some out loud streaming job, like
out of body experience type job, Like Lord, please let
me make it home.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Hmm.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
All right, well, shout out to Kwondo Rondo praying for you,
all right, and that is your yet And when we
come back, we have about last night. That's where we
discussed what we did last night. Mano has not been home.
I was home, but yeah, well not really really, Yeah, you.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Was out all night.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
I was also out all night involuntarily. We'll talk about
it when we come back on. About last night. It's
way up at Angela.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
Ye yeah, last night.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
So about last night, last night, last nights, I.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
Went down all right, it's way up at Angela Yee.
I'm Angela Yee and.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Mano is here. You have to hear the conversations we
have off the mic said.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
Very good, yeah, very some of them get at a
little crazy.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Now, what did you do last night that you've been
ball night?
Speaker 4 (12:13):
Big happy birthday. Shout out to my god, your vanguard.
You know, one of the top.
Speaker 5 (12:16):
Promoters in New York City.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
Okay, he had a birthday party last night at the
world famous Starlets.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
Oh my gosh, the start tender is a world famous baby.
Speaker 10 (12:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
If you don't know, tell the people who some of
the star tenders from Starlets. Come on, Mana.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
They got new star tenders now classics. I think they
hadds last night. She's she's top, she tops here.
Speaker 5 (12:44):
She's one of the one of the one of the ones.
You know, Bernese Burgos come from.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
From start starlets, star tender. Okay, Tina Kalata, you know that.
Speaker 5 (12:55):
You know, I'm from the.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
Street baseball cars.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
But no, honestly, starlet's and the star tenders are like
kind of has said a lot of trends.
Speaker 5 (13:09):
Of course, it started.
Speaker 4 (13:11):
A whole you know, sub a subculture, I think, whereas
like people come to the strip clubs in New York
City not for the dancer themselves, but actually the start.
Speaker 5 (13:22):
The bar tenders.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
They make a lot of money.
Speaker 5 (13:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
So my guy had a birthday party last night.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
A lot of guys pulled up shout out to Joe Vanguard,
Happy birthday my brother.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
All right, well, happy birthday Joe Vanguard. And what were
you doing in there? You just throwing money?
Speaker 11 (13:36):
Or nah?
Speaker 5 (13:37):
I just passed through.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
You know, my presence sometimes is enough, you know, my presences.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
In the building. So let me ask you this.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
As an artist, when you get to a strip club
and you walk in the door and they start playing
your music, does that mean you got to make a movie?
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Like? What does that mean?
Speaker 12 (13:53):
Not?
Speaker 4 (13:56):
The thing is, I don't like to go to the
strip club if I'm I'm not gonna if I'm not gonna,
you know, go in, yeah, like to do something. It's
like you come into a to a supermarket. You come
in and buy something, right, You're going to McDonalds. You're
going to buy something. So you going to strip clubs
spend money?
Speaker 5 (14:14):
Right kind of? You know it don't have to be
a lot of money, but you gotta you gotta.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
At least the time here we go.
Speaker 5 (14:20):
You gotta support the nicked hustle baby mm hmm.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
So what what happens when they put your music on?
I'm just wondering from an artist point of view, do
you feel pressured?
Speaker 13 (14:28):
Like?
Speaker 5 (14:29):
I never felt pressure like that?
Speaker 4 (14:31):
Okay, I never felt Now maybe you want to do
that when it's like a new record or something like that,
you want to kind.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Of you got to make it to get bottles sposa.
Speaker 5 (14:39):
You know now with the internet now.
Speaker 4 (14:41):
With the internet and the way that music is broken nowadays,
I don't know if it's still the same, especially here.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Okay, all right, I feel you in that.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
And last question I want to ask you about is
if you're with women and you give them money to
throw in the strip club, does it bother you if
they keep that money?
Speaker 2 (14:57):
And don't throw it. Really. Oh, that's not cool, because
a lot of people do.
Speaker 5 (15:01):
That's not cool.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
And I've heard I always throw all the money, so people,
and if you have money, you're next to me, I'm
gonna throw your money too. But I will say this
some women say it's standard, like if you give me
some money to throw, I put some of it in
my purse.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Really, and then the rest of it I throw.
Speaker 5 (15:17):
Throw all the money.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
Okay, all right, throw all the money and that now
you know. I was in Detroit yesterday. I had all
kinds of flight delays to get back. But one thing
I did, and I want to talk about this briefly,
was this building that I bought in Midtown. But I
also have an empty lot that comes to it, and
I'm trying to figure out what to do with that lot,
and a lot of people came up with suggestions on
(15:40):
social media. Some people said, like a food it's kind
of narrow, so it can't really be a parking lot,
you know, for that, but.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
It could be.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
What I was thinking I wanted to do was make
it kind of like an event space where you can
have an art gallery inside a garden in the back
that people.
Speaker 5 (15:54):
Can use, but it's inside.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
No, we would have to build something it's really life right, yeah,
but that could And then we had some other ideas
that have to do with shipping containers. They have like
a shipping container restaurant out there, so that it could
be inexpensive to get it done, but something nice that
people in the community could use.
Speaker 5 (16:11):
You know, people living in shipping containers. They they're building
them into.
Speaker 4 (16:15):
Houses and into the storefronts, right yeah, yeah, definitely store funds.
They have some in Brooklyn on Flatbush made out of
shipping containers.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Because they have that in Chicago.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
Right, they have them right now, uh on Flatbush Avenue
in Brooklyn down.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
I'm just looking for ideas of what we can do.
I want to make it something that's beneficial for everyone.
Speaker 4 (16:34):
I like it like a little store, like a little
sell something out of the shipping container.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
All right, yeah, I like that too. You know, I'm
gonna show you some things and we'll see what you think.
But in the meantime, y'all get your secrets ready, because
you know why Maino's here. Hey know why Mainos here.
It's time for you guys to tell us a secret.
Make the world mad, please, Okay, fifty judgment anonymously tell

Speaker 4 (17:31):
It's the people's favorite segment. I think they love to
call and give us the deepest, darkest.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
Secrets, knowing that you're not going to judge them.
Speaker 5 (17:42):
They want me to be real with them.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
Okay. You know what, though, what would Essence want you
to do?
Speaker 3 (17:48):
You're going to be at Essence Festival this weekend, part
of the man Cave experience.
Speaker 5 (17:55):
The man Cave. Really you just remixed it out of nowhere,
the man Cave.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
You wrote that on your post?
Speaker 5 (18:01):
Is that is that what you're supposed to?
Speaker 2 (18:02):
Yeah, you gotta stop copying and you're not reading what
you're posting.
Speaker 5 (18:06):
Flowing me up, just blew me up. Oh no, the
man cave.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
Really, but this is like a man cave here, okay,
except that there's no secret.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
There's no secret that's gonna leave the man cave.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
We're gonna listen to this and you guys, and I
know it's a lot of men call when you're here too.
Speaker 2 (18:24):

Mano is here. Hello, anonymous caller.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
How are you okay? You want to tell me and
Mano a secret?
Speaker 10 (18:36):
Yeah? I've got three qs with my baby mama and
then she had another going by the man she went
because he ain't.
Speaker 11 (18:42):
A real man.
Speaker 10 (18:43):
I'm not gonna support that one any ways. Like I'm
believe that baby at home and I don't get my three.
We have a new boy who won't handle support because
the baby, the baby father is not gonna be there
and he ain't gonna handle stepdaddy.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Oh my gosh. So you're with a woman, I'm not
with her no more.
Speaker 12 (18:59):
You have you?
Speaker 10 (19:01):
Yeah, we have three kids. If you might be pregnant
by another man and he's not gonna be there for
and you know what I'm saying, I just support what
I'm gonna do for my three kids, not what she doing.
Speaker 4 (19:12):
He's not gonna suppose that your child anyway, So it's
not really your responsibility to support the next shout by
another man anyway.
Speaker 10 (19:22):
Yeah, but you know, but the kids are asking about
their little brother or sister, and I'm gonna tell her fast,
damn telling y'all in advance.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
You don't even know if she's pregnant.
Speaker 10 (19:29):
Yeah, yeah, I know she might be pregnant because how
her job is. Man, you know what I'm saying, just
the things that what I personally know that y'all don't know.
But even if she is pregnant, hopefully for hear me,
I'm not gonna love that kid.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
How do you know that he's not going to take
care of the kid?
Speaker 10 (19:46):
Oh, just because of the man he is and how
they meant and just the environment.
Speaker 5 (19:50):
You know what I'm saying, keeping tabs on that relationship.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
Listen, do you still want to know me?
Speaker 10 (19:57):
I know, I know.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
Do you still want to be with her? It's tell
us a secret.
Speaker 10 (20:01):
Well, here is a secret. I'm not gonna love your kid.
I hope you're not fringant. I ain't gonna love it.
Speaker 5 (20:05):
You wore her back though, That's what this fine is
about right.
Speaker 10 (20:09):
Man, because I'm not gonna be and knocked out one.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Do you want her back?
Speaker 3 (20:12):
No, okay, I do want to say this though. I'll
let you say whatever you need to say about it.
But you never know what happens when a kid gets here.
You know, kids are innocent, they haven't done anything to anyone,
and you might feel differently later because when you see
how much their siblings love that child, you might change
your mind, which is okay, I don't love them now.
Speaker 10 (20:32):
I ain't gonna.
Speaker 5 (20:35):
We don't even know.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
I thank you for calling.
Speaker 10 (20:41):
That's how you learned on support from over his real
father and brought the brand of the family.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
Canant that's crazy? All right? Well, thank you for calling.
Speaker 12 (20:52):
I love you may know.
Speaker 11 (20:53):
I love y'all.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
Bro Dann he loves may know Hello, that of his
How are you?
Speaker 11 (21:01):
What are you doing?
Speaker 2 (21:02):
Good? How are you doing?
Speaker 11 (21:04):
I'm all right?
Speaker 2 (21:05):
The secret?
Speaker 7 (21:06):
Yeah, man.
Speaker 10 (21:07):
One time I worked for the dude with a landscape
comany and he had followed me on something.
Speaker 11 (21:12):
Some boutful, so I doubled back.
Speaker 12 (21:15):
I called them boys at that property double back and
took everything off the truck.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
Oh my gosh, okay.
Speaker 10 (21:22):
Don't claim me.
Speaker 5 (21:24):
He spent the blood, he spent the block.
Speaker 11 (21:27):
We're doing man?
Speaker 12 (21:28):
All right?
Speaker 11 (21:28):
Now are we doing in Florida?
Speaker 2 (21:30):
Man?
Speaker 11 (21:30):
I want to play about that. Man, it's too hot
to be in the sun working.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
Did he think it was you?
Speaker 3 (21:34):
You think he had an idea that maybe you had
something to do with or you got away with it.
Speaker 10 (21:39):
I think he did. One of my dogs had told
me a little something something.
Speaker 11 (21:42):
But you know what I'm saying, he ain't gonna no
further way. I didn't care about it.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
He wanted him to know, like do something.
Speaker 5 (21:48):
Okay, I when you're saying.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
Okay, got you got your look back though?
Speaker 11 (21:55):
Right?
Speaker 10 (21:56):
Yeah, you already knowing quick for a little bit of.
Speaker 12 (22:00):
Change in my pocket.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
Well, thank you for sharing.
Speaker 10 (22:03):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
You should shout him out so he really knows what
you so he knows.
Speaker 5 (22:11):
Shout him out, like so you really know? You know
what I mean?
Speaker 1 (22:14):
You know.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
All that you got booked for this essence thing you
done changed?
Speaker 3 (22:24):
Want you want him to know that was a doozy
right there. That was tell us a secret. He's been
wanting to get that off his chest for a while.
And when we come back, we have ye t let's
talk about Nicki Minaj. She is offering to pay for
college for this fourteen year old.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Will tell you why. It's way up at Angela ye Joe.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
She's about to blow the lid ab off this part.
Speaker 5 (22:43):
Let's get it.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
Angela's feeling that Yea te Come and get the tea.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
Yo, it's way put the Angela yee. I'm Angela yee.
And Mano is here.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Let's do some yet.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
Man No, you're gonna like these stories today because we
love talking about money, all right. So so, Diagio is
responding to Diddy's racism accusations now.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
He sued them in May.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
He said that Diazio breached his partnership deal for Delion
Tequila by not supporting the brand properly. He also said
that there was racism and Diazio treated his product line
worse than others because he is black. Well, Diazio has
now responded. They responded yesterday. They said that this is
a bad faith sham action filed by a star who
(23:26):
would amassed nearly one billion dollars from their partnership but
now wanted to extract billions more. They said these allegations
are nothing more than opportunistic attempts to garner press attention
and distract the court from the fact that plaintif's breach
of contract claim is entirely without merit. And they also
went on to say that they provided a lot of
funding for Delion. They said unwilling or unable to provide
(23:50):
funding for the mutual benefit of the parties and the
Delion brand. In mid twenty twenty, Combs began to issue
threats to damage the brand and to fame Diazio and
its executives and employees by publicly claiming that Delion's failure
to thrive was due to a racial animus against him.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
They said that they supplied over.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
One hundred million dollars for Delion, so they're confused as
to why this is happening. And you know that that
partnership deal that he has with them is a large
part of the reason why he's always on that list of, uh,
you know, most the richest hip hop artists.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
Well, he said that they promote Cosumigos a lot more
than they promote Delion and Sack. They said they have
that in a kind of urban brand, and you know,
urban is the word for black right.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
And when he wanted to make sure now I do
have Diddy's response, all right, and this was sent to
me and it says Diagio attempting to end it to
deal's with mister Colmbs is like firing a whistleblower who
calls out racism. It's a cynical and transparent attempt to
distract from multiple allegations of discrimination. Over the years, he
(24:59):
has repeatedly his concerns as senior executives uttered racially insensitive
comments and made biased decisions based on that point of view.
D'agio even acknowledged the problem by agreeing in his contract
to treat Deli on the same way he treated their
other tequila brand. He brought the lawsuit to force them
to live up to that contract, and instead they respond
by trying to get rid of him. This lawsuit and
mister Combs are not going away. This could end up
(25:22):
being very ugly. And you know what's gonna matter in
a situation like this, because d'agio is a huge company
that has a lot of brands under it. What are
other brands going to say, and what are the other
brands that they have and our other executives going to
come forward and other people they have partnerships with.
Speaker 5 (25:37):
Do they have other partnerships with anybody black?
Speaker 2 (25:40):
Yeah, we got to look into that.
Speaker 5 (25:43):
Because George Clooney, right, Yes, they also have.
Speaker 11 (25:49):
What is it?
Speaker 3 (25:51):
Diagio is a huge brand though, like they have a
lot of different let's see what their brands are.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
I'm gonna tell you right now as I do this
deep dive, a deep dive because they have.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
Smirnoff, Guinness, Barely's, Buchanans Don perry On Kettle one.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
I don't think any of these are back on.
Speaker 5 (26:09):
Yeah, nobody's single, Nobody's.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Black over they had that bourbon.
Speaker 5 (26:15):
Nobody's black?
Speaker 2 (26:16):
How do you say it? Bourbon? Is that how you
say it?
Speaker 13 (26:20):
All right?
Speaker 3 (26:20):
Well, we'll keep our eye on this and keep you
guys updated and maybe we'll get to hear both sides.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
All right.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
And French Montana his La mansion has hit the market
for nearly twenty three million dollars. Okay, okay, So he's
getting rid of that home in the Hidden Hills community.
It's a one point five acre parcel of land. Maybe
Rick Ross will buy it. He bought meek Mill's house
of them mail posted it. This is a very nice
house that French Montana has. I'm sure he has something
(26:46):
that he's planning to do with it. How is his
documentary dope?
Speaker 5 (26:50):
Dope for her? It's for Kodiza. This is his mother.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Yeah, his mind, that was dope.
Speaker 5 (26:55):
So we went out there and we saw it. That
was that was really nice, all.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
Right, two thumbs up, Two thumbs up.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
And Nicki Minas has offered to pay the college tuition
for the fourteen year old boy who shot and killed
a man that attacked his mother. This was in Chicago.
His mom is carl Sha Hood. She got into an
argument with Jeremy Brown at a restaurant and was repeatedly
punched in the head and that's when her fourteen year
old son came in and opened fire on him after
the attack and killed him in the process. Now Nicki
Minaj is saying she wants to pay for that fourteen
(27:23):
year old his college tuition when he's ready to go
to college.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
If he wants to go, here's what you have to say.
Speaker 3 (27:30):
She said, that fourteen year old boy that backed that
hammer out when that grown ass man was punching his
mother in the face as if she were a man.
As a true hero. If he wants to go to college,
I'd love to help. It's what any son should have
done for their mother. Absolutely, and imagine she had initially
gotten charged.
Speaker 5 (27:45):
And said they both got charged with a murder.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
Yes, and so that's traumatizing for both of them. I did, however,
feel sad for this man's children because he has twins.
Then now we're going to grow up without their dad
for him doing something stupid like his actions for attack
that he had and now these poor innocent kids are
going to not have their dad around. They said it
was their birthday the day before. It just happened to think, bro,
(28:11):
you know, so again a really uh stupid, sad situation
for everybody that was involved.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
Nobody's life is going to be the same after that.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
And one person lost their life and that is your
Yet when we come back, we have under the radar.
These are the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines.
They are flying under the radar. It's way up and Angela.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
Yee news this in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Yes, way you put Angela Yee, I'm Angela Yee. And
Mano is here. I am here, I am here. Mayo's
helping me get furniture right. Now he's giving me his
advice on what I should get.
Speaker 5 (28:47):
So you're going with that.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
Uh, we're gonna see, We're going to see. We're going
to see it. Materior designer over here.
Speaker 5 (28:53):
It's pretty pricey one.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
That's what we're working on. All right, now, let's talk
about this. I know you're gonna love this story. That's
to the radar. Maino Southwest flyers are concerned about a
pre boarding scam that has people very upset.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
Have you ever flown on Southwest?
Speaker 9 (29:09):
I have?
Speaker 2 (29:09):
Yeah, sometimes, yeah, I gotta do it.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
And you know how it's it's Southwest the airline where
you have to like get your.
Speaker 5 (29:15):
Seat, No, you just sit.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
It's like they don't assign you a se right or.
Speaker 5 (29:20):
Something like that. So if you're in C section and
or whatever the section.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
You that's when you get to board and then you
have to take whatever seat. Well, passengers are upset now
that it seems like people are getting wheelchairs that potentially
don't need them.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
All right.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
One passenger was saying they were twenty people with wheelchairs
on the air flight.
Speaker 4 (29:38):
Really, so people coming to the airport like, oh I
can't walk.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
Yeah, so you know that you order a wheelchair and
it's preboarding, so you know when they announce like, okay,
first we're preboarding any customers who need ACTRA time and
need help, and those people are in wheelchairs.
Speaker 5 (29:52):
So they're only doing it the Southwest.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
I'm sure they do it on other airlines, but Southwest
I guess it makes the most sense because you don't
have a seat sign.
Speaker 4 (29:58):
You don't make no sense to do it with Delta
because if you're sitting thirty nine seed, then it's not
gonna matter.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
Now, one person is saying that fourteen people use wheelchairs
to board his flight, but only six he needed wheelchairs
to get off the flight. What are you supposed to
do though, Because if you work there and somebody tells
you they need a will you can't tell them And
they're like, listen, you guys, sometimes certain disabilities aren't visible,
so we have to provide the appropriate accommodations and they
(30:25):
can't question the validity of that.
Speaker 5 (30:28):
They may not be able to get with that right now.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
Look at this picture of all the people on wheelchairs
getting on the flight. How mad would you be if
you're waiting to get your seat, twenty people roll past
you and then you get off the plane and only
two of them.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
Yeah, there's nothing.
Speaker 5 (30:41):
Everybody got a hustle.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
Now you know what's gonna happen. The next line is
gonna be sixty people that need wheelchairs.
Speaker 3 (30:47):
All right, Well, Pepsi has made its first ever condiment.
It's called a pepsi cola. Chop, it's cola what it's
a condiment. It's called a pepsi cola, right is all
you say. It's chresh of sauce. And so it's being
launched in celebration of the fourth of July, where they
believe that there's so many people that are using hot
(31:09):
dogs that are best paired with their soda. But it
has culinary credibility, even though it might sound a little
weird at first, a condiment that has pepsi infuse in it.
They said, it's a revolutionary new type of condiment enhanced
with the rich caramone notes and citrusy pop of pepsi cola.
So it has smoked tomatoes, cinnamon, thyme, a, regano, paprika,
(31:31):
plus onions and ketchup and that results in a sweet,
citrusy taste of a crisp tasting pepsi.
Speaker 5 (31:36):
So it goes with your Glizzy.
Speaker 3 (31:39):
Yeah, yeah, Pepsi cola Chu with your Glizzy.
Speaker 4 (31:43):
Yeah, goals with your Glizzy. Shout out all the Glizzy
goblets for the fourth of July and listen.
Speaker 3 (31:49):
Shout out to everybody who is traveling right now. I
know there's been a lot of flight issues. I had
two people text me this morning telling me that their
flights were actually canceled, and then I had another person
with the flight delay that was supposed to land earlier
today and it's not landing now till later. So if
you are flying, just make sure that you get updates
and alert and what's happening with your flight, and make
(32:09):
sure you continue to.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
What I should have did.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
I realized my flight was probably gonna get canceled. I
should have just went ahead and booked it a new one,
and I messed up when I didn't do that in time.
But if you feel like that's gonna happen and it
keeps on getting delayed, delayed, delayed, do what you gotta
do before everyone gets canceled and you get stuck.
Speaker 5 (32:26):
Yeah, it's been happening all week.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
Well, you'll definitely be an essence Festo and so alive.
Speaker 5 (32:32):
I'll be there all.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
Right, well, it's way up with Angelaye. We do have
the Way Up mixed coming at the top of the hour.
Plus we have Brooke Jones joining us. She is the
founder of the Hidden Vault. She's from New Orleans. Also,
you can go to the Hidden Vault dot com and
get some of these things to make female honey, and
they have some male honey too.
Speaker 5 (32:50):
I don't know about that, Yes you do.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
It's in your pocket. It's way up in the rooms.
Speaker 1 (32:58):
From industry shades, all the gossip out. Angela's speeling that.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
It's the way you put Angela Yee Angela yee. Mano
is here.
Speaker 3 (33:08):
Yeah, we've been through this et, haven't we.
Speaker 8 (33:11):
Hey?
Speaker 3 (33:12):
All right, well, first, let's started off with an update
from Nicki Minaj. We talked about how she wants to
pay for the fourteen year old that Carly Sha Hood's
son that shot and killed the man that was attacking
his mother in Chicago to go to college. Well, she
has since responded. She said, we most definitely appreciate you,
Nicki Minaj. My son just ran and told me to
look at Shade Room. Your comment most certainly just made
(33:33):
his day. Yes, my son will be attending college and
we can use any help we can get.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
Prayers are greatly appreciated from you all. Thank you so much.
Queen Nice.
Speaker 5 (33:42):
That's dope.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
That's a beautiful thing during this really difficult time to
have a really type of support, something to look forward to,
financial assistance in any way. It's amazing thing, all right. Now,
David Ough is in the spotlight again. Divido, Davido, whatever
you want to call him, he said, just spell the
name right on the check.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
A woman, Anita.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
Brown, who is based in the United States, says that
she is his new baby mama. Now it was a
lot of things going on. She also put a video
of her taking a pregnancy test steps. She also put
out a bunch of screenshots of messages between her and
Davido and said that they have been meeting each other
since twenty seventeen. And then she also said she did
(34:26):
not even know that he was married. Here's what he
has to say.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
What really kills me is this this married man?
Speaker 14 (34:33):
Nargrative that aren't y'all are dragging like, oh, I'm filing
with the married man.
Speaker 13 (34:37):
Cut it out.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
No, I did not know he was married. On God,
go to his page. Does it look like he's married?
You know rest in peace to the child.
Speaker 14 (34:45):
Like people knew about the baby, but nobody knew he
got married.
Speaker 13 (34:49):
I'm in America, nobody here knew.
Speaker 3 (34:51):
Sorry Okay, I mean I did know he was married.
But that's a report on those things. And I would
think if you're dating somebody. But anyway, she's an entrepreneur,
a speaker of transformational coach. She has a Spotify podcast
called condu It's a Purpose. She also said, I'm a
female who doesn't like sitting in cars worth less than
(35:13):
a hundred thousand.
Speaker 5 (35:15):
Stop the cat? Please?
Speaker 2 (35:17):
Do you know her?
Speaker 5 (35:18):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (35:18):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (35:19):
Well, cat please?
Speaker 2 (35:21):
Oh well, what do you know about her? I don't
know much, man, but this this is just no believer.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
She said they met in Dubai twenty seventeen. This is
not no one night. Don't ever play with me. And
then people have pointed out that he did mention her
name in the song before called Assurance. He said, call Anita.
Speaker 5 (35:50):
Yeah, I guess.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
Okay, Well, can you get a statement from no kidding?
We got to get you out of this role.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Man.
Speaker 5 (35:58):
Listen, they got they got this sady.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
She made a lot of statements, a lot of screenshots.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
Another screen shot that we saw posted was Mariah Mills,
who was claiming that she was Zion Williamson's girlfriend before
he went ahead and posted.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
His do you know her too? You know her too?
I don't know Maria say you know everyone?
Speaker 3 (36:22):
Well, she basically posted a pregnancy test, saying pregnant.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
That shows that she's pregnant. Now, it could be anybody's
test test or not. I have no idea.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
I just know it's a yes, two lines pregnant pregnancy test.
Speaker 5 (36:37):
Yeah, it could have been anybody's test.
Speaker 2 (36:38):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
Ryan Seacrest is taking over as well, uh Fortune hosts
from Pat Say Jack. A lot of people were trying
to get that job too, and so that's going to
be exciting for him.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
Ryan Seacrest says a lot, he's taking everybody's jobs.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
By the way, he made the announcement yesterday, he said
he's truly humble to be stepping into the footsteps of
the Lenn Jerry, Pat Say Jack. He said, I can
say a lot with the rest of America that has
been a privileged in pire joy to watch Pat and
Vanner on our television screens for an unprecedented forty years. Wow,
that's a long time. Hello, A long time, all right?
Now the idol is going to be ending sooner than expected.
(37:14):
The season finale is airing next week.
Speaker 4 (37:16):
It was yes episode, it's going to be a fifth episode,
so it's just so they only made five episodes.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
Well really they had made six, and for some reason,
they're ending this now, and people were saying, I thought
it was going to be six episodes, not five. Well,
while it's unclear why it's being cut short, some people
think it's an indication about the show's future.
Speaker 2 (37:38):
So they're trying to figure out what is the.
Speaker 3 (37:40):
Reason why, And an insider said that the season ended
up being five episodes when it was all said and
done after Sam Levinton took over and made significant changes.
So maybe it with some editing things they decided to
end it. But the next episode is going to be
the finale.
Speaker 5 (37:55):
Sounds crazy.
Speaker 3 (37:57):
There's all kinds of drama around this show, by the way, right,
all right, now, let's talk about another woman. I hope
you don't know her too, Neo's ex girlfriend. He knows her,
Oh my gosh. Shade Bagnery's has responded to his request
for joint custody and a liberal parenting schedule. Radar Online
reported that she has demanded primary custody of their two kids,
(38:18):
along with immediate monthly child supports. She also agreed to
share a joint legal custody, which will allow him to
have a say on matters in their children's lives. She
feels like he should be awarded every other weekend visitation
along with an alternating holiday parenting time.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
Wow, do you know her too? May No?
Speaker 3 (38:37):
I mean you know so every single one of these
women that we talked about.
Speaker 5 (38:43):
That's not my problem. These guys are goods. He's doing
speaking women that are, you know, taking them through the ring.
Speaker 4 (38:50):
It seems like, okay, man, I've just met these women,
So you do know all three of them?
Speaker 5 (38:56):
No, I wouldn't say all three.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
I don't know if I know the other one, Mariah Mills.
I don't know if I'm okay, but you do know
Nel's X.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
And you do know this Anita who is saying that
she's pregnant or I had to keep a debto Okay,
we'll talk. It's way up with Angela Yee. He'll be
at essence ladies. You sorry, Mayno, got me pretzels.
Speaker 2 (39:23):
I'm eating. I'm way up with Angela Yee. Who I'm
Angela Yee Mano is here.
Speaker 5 (39:31):
Yeah, I'm here.
Speaker 3 (39:31):
We gotta eat better every time I come here. But
along with that, let's talk about this. I'm Trina now.
Speaker 2 (39:41):
People were trying to say at the award show, Oh,
Trina's pregnant, and she's pregnant. Well, her rep has debunked
those theories and said she is not pregnant, despite fans
speculation following her performance at the BET Awards.
Speaker 3 (39:53):
Just like any other woman her weight fluctuate. She is
asking for fans to just move on from this.
Speaker 5 (40:00):
I kind of thought that she might have been with child.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
You know.
Speaker 3 (40:03):
For me, as a woman, I also know that there's
certain times that we get bloated, our weight goes up
and goes down, especially as we get older, and sometimes
things look different on camera than they do when you
were looking in the mirror at home.
Speaker 5 (40:16):
I've made that mistake many times though. So how you doing?
Oh good to see congratulations for what that you having
a baby?
Speaker 2 (40:23):
No, I'm not yet that you cannot do that.
Speaker 3 (40:25):
That is one thing you can never go up to
man and say, oh, how far along are you? I
did actually happened to me one time you did that. Yes,
I was definitely wrong. My friend, she had had a
baby not that long ago, and I guess she still
hadn't lost and I hadn't seen her in a while.
Speaker 2 (40:41):
I ran into her in the mall and I was like, girl, congrats.
She was like I know.
Speaker 3 (40:49):
I was like, ooh, I felt so bad. But then
I know for myself. Sometimes I post pictures or if
something happens, or I wear oversized clothes all the time,
and you know, if you have on a hoodie, sometimes
it's like the pocket would be poking out and people
would be like, oh, yeah, she's pregnant. Oh you're pregnant.
And I got a fat face too on top of
all of that. So you know, I'm used to it now,
but I have learned you do not ask women if
(41:12):
they're pregnant or when they're expecting, or when.
Speaker 13 (41:14):
They do that.
Speaker 5 (41:14):
I can't ask the women if she'sant, can't ask her age.
Speaker 3 (41:17):
You know what, I don't ask you even if you
got a whole big belly poking out and you're clearly
and you're parking and pregnant, donk and spot. I'm not
saying nothing till you say, oh, by the way, I'm pregnant.
I'm not saying a word of it in the room.
Speaker 5 (41:32):
Not there, the elephant is in the room.
Speaker 2 (41:34):
Like absolutely, I don't care. We're in the waiting room.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
No, I'm just saying I'm asking and other things that
you cannot ask a woman.
Speaker 5 (41:45):
What age?
Speaker 3 (41:46):
I can't ask a woman her age? People do it
all the time anyway. What are some other things you can't?
Speaker 11 (41:51):
Wait?
Speaker 15 (41:51):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (41:51):
Yeah, how much do you wish? You too much? Now?
Speaker 3 (42:01):
I might be pregnant, but yeah, a lot of things
that you're not supposed to say. Are there things you
can't ask men?
Speaker 2 (42:08):
No, just ask men anything.
Speaker 5 (42:10):
We have no respect, right?
Speaker 2 (42:11):
Are there things that.
Speaker 5 (42:13):
You just walk all over us? Just walk all over us.
Speaker 2 (42:16):
There's nothing that's offensive to you, guys. It pretty much is.
But I mean not by the rule book.
Speaker 3 (42:22):
Guys are like doing ask me if I have a girl,
asks me nothing but yes, for women, just remember that
you don't do that. And it's really rude when people
go online and sometimes that people are pregnant. They don't
want to put it out there yet until they're ready,
because there's also a lot of risk early on in
the first trimester, so sometimes people are waiting to reveal that.
Speaker 2 (42:43):
So just putting it out.
Speaker 5 (42:44):
There training them probably was offended with all that backline.
Speaker 2 (42:47):
That's annoying. You know, you're up there performing, it's the
fiftieth anniversary of hip hop. You haven't a time and
then you go on social media and people are saying
all kinds of stuff, and then it does make you
feel bad, like we am. You know, I thought I
looked good. Now I look nothing. You can't look pregnant,
I mean pregnant. I mean being pregnant is not a bad.
Speaker 3 (43:05):
Look, it's not. But it's not good to look pregnant
when you're not. You don't want people saying that if
you're not.
Speaker 2 (43:11):
That's all. We got to be sensitive to things like that.
Speaker 5 (43:13):
It's like the stomach, what did they call.
Speaker 3 (43:16):
It, well bloated? You know what it is. You know
what it is because you've had plenty of women that
have to wear.
Speaker 5 (43:24):
Like my snatch fresh.
Speaker 2 (43:28):
All right.
Speaker 3 (43:28):
Anyway, when we come back, speaking of Witch, Brooke Jones
is going to be joining us body by Brook and
she's from New Orleans. She has a company, the Hidden
Vault dot Com. We're going to do Wealth Wednesday where
her Stacy Kisdale is going to be joining us.
Speaker 2 (43:42):
Jasmine is going to.
Speaker 3 (43:43):
Be here just to talk about her business how she
got off the ground.
Speaker 2 (43:46):
And also you know some fun uh sex products.
Speaker 5 (43:51):
Do you want to enjoy any of those? That's for women?
Speaker 2 (43:54):
They have some for men. And you already like overdose
the other day.
Speaker 1 (44:03):
Yeahs you back at it, bring it, bring in the back,
way up with Angela.
Speaker 3 (44:08):
Yee is on he Oh, it's way up with Angela Yee.
I'm Angela Yee and Mano is hey. Mayo knows every
woman right now that's pregnant by someone.
Speaker 2 (44:19):
But anyway, yes, those are not my issues. We're getting
ready for essence fast. How long are you staying out there?
Speaker 5 (44:25):
About three days?
Speaker 2 (44:26):
Okay? So what day you're going back on Sunday?
Speaker 5 (44:28):
Think of Saturday?
Speaker 2 (44:30):
Oh, you're going back on Saturday. Damn.
Speaker 3 (44:32):
All right, Well I'll be there part of the time
you're there. So we're gonna we're gonna go in these
New Orleans ties. You know, I love New Orleans.
Speaker 2 (44:37):
That's one of my favorite favorite cities.
Speaker 5 (44:39):
French Quarter.
Speaker 2 (44:40):
Okay, I'm not mad at it.
Speaker 3 (44:42):
And right now we're about to talk to Brooke Jones. Now,
Brooke Jones is the founder of the Hidden Vaught. She's
from New Orleans, right, and you have some of their
products may know.
Speaker 5 (44:52):
No, look at this. I see a big box with
your name on it.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
First Herbo honey for women.
Speaker 5 (44:57):
Yes, there you go.
Speaker 3 (44:58):
So let's see what this desk. Now, this is one
of their best sellers. And it's also all natural. You're
supposed to take one satchet every day when needed. You
know means no, this is for women. You need to
do this all natural. Note, let me see you about that.
Let me see the box you stole from here, Let
me the box. I want to see what is.
Speaker 2 (45:19):
Okay here, I don't know what you already already to
the plastic. Off about the plastic.
Speaker 5 (45:28):
Oh my god, ladies, stop.
Speaker 2 (45:31):
It all right, new made old. We don't want that.
Speaker 4 (45:36):
Listen, check this out. No, this is this is for men,
and this is natural. This is not the honey that's
at the gas station.
Speaker 2 (45:44):
Okay, okay, okay. So this provides a slow and steady
release of energy. Also, this pure honey is fortifyed with
the selection of organic herbs, including Asian.
Speaker 3 (45:55):
Oh you're about to be letty all right, but I
didn't try it, though, Yes you did. That's what you
can't mere asking for more. You came in here asking
for more.
Speaker 2 (46:03):
That's not what I was asking for Oh, you took
something else?
Speaker 4 (46:05):
You have something else that I Oh.
Speaker 2 (46:09):
He came in here like the past three days.
Speaker 3 (46:14):
Well, we're gonna talk about it with Brooke Jones for
Wealth Wednesday. How she started this hit and bought business.
She made a lot of pivots in her life to
get to this point. She has such an amazing story.
Make sure you check her out Body by Brooke and
that's coming up next on Wealth Wednesdays, It's Angela Ye.
Speaker 2 (46:29):
It's way up at eal.
Speaker 1 (46:31):
And I don't mind sharing my wealth dog getting you
straight financially, mentally and physically. This is Wealth Wednesday on
Way Up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 2 (46:40):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (46:40):
It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee and
it is a Wealth Wednesday. Stacy Tiesday is here my
Wealth Wednesday partner.
Speaker 14 (46:46):
Happy Wealth Wednesday, everybody, We're gonna take you way up
and week.
Speaker 2 (46:49):
Are so excited. And Jasmine from the Jasmine Brand is
here also Yes the Trifecta and.
Speaker 3 (46:54):
Yes and listen, this is gonna be a fun interview.
We have a lot of questions and I know our
audience is and love this one. But Brick Jones is
here what's that Broke and grant business partner?
Speaker 2 (47:05):
Yes, okay, you're manager manager okay and beautiful ready for this?
Speaker 3 (47:13):
So Brooke, you're from New Orleans, yes, which we could
hear when you talk, which I love.
Speaker 13 (47:17):
Okay, they told me, don't tone it down. I said,
I was gonna come in here and try to tone
it down.
Speaker 2 (47:21):
No, yourself, and that's what we love about you.
Speaker 13 (47:25):
And what do you tone it down?
Speaker 2 (47:26):
Ever?
Speaker 14 (47:26):
Don't you start now?
Speaker 2 (47:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (47:27):
Okay, you're about I think and that let's start with
that lesson being yourself and how important that is because
sometimes we do try to tone things down and you
have such an interesting story and you actually had to
learn how to embrace your own story.
Speaker 13 (47:41):
Yes, because I try to tone it down a bunch
of times and it didn't work for me. Like I
can't be myself if I'm not myself. So a lot
of companies I work with it was like, you know,
we need to become a little more conservative, we need
to turn it down, we need you need classes etiquette.
And I'm like, well I got this for it from
being me. So let me let me read me.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
So let's talk about who Brooke Jones is. You know,
because you do have a book. I'm from Barnes to Boss.
Speaker 2 (48:06):
It's a fictional novel, but it's based on real stories.
Speaker 13 (48:09):
Yeah really my life, Yeah, my whole life. I started
off when I was like twelve. I want to say, and.
Speaker 14 (48:16):
I don't want to be a spoiler, but you gotta
start by saying, how did Mookie turn into Brook?
Speaker 13 (48:23):
Moktading to Brook? After my last run to prison, after
my findal run to person, and I'm like, I'm sick
of this, some saded this. I have to change. I
have to change because my last run, I was away
from my kids.
Speaker 8 (48:34):
Right.
Speaker 13 (48:35):
I had three boys, and I have all my kids
have different faartis, So when I went to jail, it
was just scattered around. They were so hurt. I felt
that I missed a lot of moments that I never
missed because I never was around from around my children
more than a weekend.
Speaker 2 (48:50):
How do you think you became a hustler at such
an early age.
Speaker 13 (48:53):
My mom left me when I was like sixteen. She
got like she was a single parameent of three girls,
and she met a man. She was always she never
had time for herself. It was always us us. My
dad was always incarcerated so she finally went somewhere, met
a man and like girl by Stella got her groove
back and she left. And I was the youngest. I'm
the baby of the three girls. And she left when
(49:13):
I was sixteen, and I was like.
Speaker 2 (49:15):
I gotta figure this out.
Speaker 13 (49:16):
So I started They know the guys because they had money,
and I got my first job when I was fifteen
at McDonald's.
Speaker 2 (49:22):
Okay.
Speaker 13 (49:22):
Ever since then, I've been hustling the legit way or
the legal way, and I found myself doing more legal
things once I had kids, because I couldn't see them
suffer the way I did. So that was really by
any meaning.
Speaker 3 (49:34):
It was really like I gotta take care of my boys. Yeah,
and whatever I got to do to make that happen,
we're going to happen. I always feel like people will
have that hustle mentality. Whatever it is that you're doing,
if you can apply it in the right way, you
can figure out a way to make money with, which
is what you've done. Because they hit and vaulved, which
is your company, a multi million dollar brand. You started
(49:55):
that company and people may not even know your backstory,
they just know this is a Yeah.
Speaker 13 (50:00):
Some people look at being like, Okay, she got lucky,
or like it was an overnight thing, but it wasn't
my whole life. I've been trying to come up.
Speaker 3 (50:07):
We're talking to Brick Jones, the founder of the Hidden
Vault dot com.
Speaker 2 (50:11):
Where'd you get those skills?
Speaker 14 (50:12):
And we understand where you got the motivation from the
skills though the build up business skills, the business skills, I.
Speaker 2 (50:20):
Mean, you've done social media branding in a very difficult way.
Speaker 13 (50:25):
You started, do you started out for women only?
Speaker 12 (50:29):
No?
Speaker 13 (50:29):
I thought men start. It was keeping cute keeping. So
what happened was after I got out of jail. I
know I had got my body done before I went
to jail, so I'm like, well I could be a model,
an I g model. So I got out of jail
and I started doing a little modeling on Instagram and
the follow was built up. So I'm like, now I
(50:51):
could sell something.
Speaker 2 (50:51):
That's a lot of it, and I'm selling.
Speaker 13 (50:56):
Like I have I'm not making any silles. How did
you say they may get money and I'm not making it.
So I had to change the narrative and I'm like,
I'm ben biased. I'm selling to women. They're not even
supporting me. Is the men and the reason why the
men woul supporting me because I'm having naked on Instagram.
So I had to do it. I had to stop,
step back and just think, do what you represent? What
do you represent? And I call myself a sex symbol,
(51:19):
so if I'm representing sex, I can so still being
biased because I kept the name keeping cute, got rid
of the lashes and started selling purple sex toys and
my supporters were supporting. But you buy one toy, you
don't really need too too many. So it was like,
how good quality it was I had.
Speaker 2 (51:42):
I had a rabbit.
Speaker 13 (51:43):
It was called wine. It was called.
Speaker 2 (51:49):
Of your product.
Speaker 13 (51:50):
Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 12 (51:52):
So uh.
Speaker 13 (51:52):
The guys started saying, Brook, what do you have for us?
And I was like, tell me what y'all need? And
when they started saying he was toys, he was enhancements,
he was this. And my grandfather, he was a farmer
and he used to always cook, mix up his little
herbs and everything here dysfunction. I didn't know what honey, Yeah,
(52:13):
it was all but it was all natural. And I
always did a guy sound that honey was good. But
I got a headache. My chest was serving up, so
I did a lot of research, a lot of research,
and nobody had products with no toxins, no chemicals, and
(52:34):
everything had side effects and chemicals.
Speaker 3 (52:36):
I'm like, that's so important because there are a lot
of fruits, vegetables, herbs, things like that that actually naturally
can help you in many different ways to get your
blood flowing, you know, to help you have more energy.
Speaker 13 (52:50):
Got so many mix up and it's all natural. And
I was the first person in the United States of
America with a massage, y'all.
Speaker 16 (52:57):
I know you went from lashes to you don't call
him sext with intimacy. What do you call these intimacy prices?
Speaker 13 (53:03):
They started as sex to as an adult line. It
became way more than that over the years. And it
was one review that made me change the whole narrative
on the adult. It was a guy and he said
that he was contemplating suicide, his sex life was awful,
his wife was about to leave him, and before he
started using, was contemplating suicide. And I was like, is
(53:25):
this a joke? Like I didn't even you know, taking
that series of Believa. But I'm like, if the hitting
ball would do this for somebody in life, then it's
more than just an adult line. It's health and wellness.
Nobody in life.
Speaker 3 (53:43):
Yeah, and like you said, nobody talks about it. And
part of the reason why we do that podcast lip
service is because people are scared to have conversations about sex.
Speaker 13 (53:51):
Yes, it was very hard to get the hitting ball
off the ground for those very reason.
Speaker 3 (53:55):
Yeah, we had Brooke gaun Taire with us. Bodied by Brooke.
You can check her out there on Instagram. Got more
with her talking about the Hidden Vault dot com and
just being a fly businesswoman that she is.
Speaker 2 (54:05):
It's way up at the Angela Yee.
Speaker 4 (54:07):
Kind of dream of wealthy and I don't mind sharing
my wealth dogs getting you straight financially, mentally and physically.
Speaker 1 (54:14):
This is Wealth Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 2 (54:17):
What's up? It's way up with Angela Ye.
Speaker 3 (54:18):
I'm Angela Yee and we are talking to Brooke Jones,
the founder of the Hidden Vault dot com and so
Wealth Wednesday. So my partner Stacey Tisdale is here, and
of course Jasmin brand is here as well.
Speaker 2 (54:28):
Jasmine, you have a question.
Speaker 16 (54:29):
Where did you come up with the money for last?
Like we said, okay, so last what No? I mean
a question like you don't want to start a bus here.
Speaker 2 (54:37):
They don't have any money.
Speaker 13 (54:38):
But I had to wait on those texts.
Speaker 6 (54:39):
This girl.
Speaker 13 (54:40):
I'm like, you know what, normally I'll go get my
kids something, bring us out of town, whatever. This show
I'm a sacrifice and I'm gonna use that. And I'm
mean investing my business. What I gotta lose, Okay, I'm like,
if anything go bad, I'll just sell it for a dollar,
sell it for whatever I bought it for, and just
get that money back and move on. But I just
had so much confidence, and I prayed, I pray, I
got to put me in a position of winning. If
you did that, I made him a promise that I'll
(55:02):
tell a world about them, and I haven't stopped yet.
Speaker 2 (55:04):
So when did you first see a profit?
Speaker 3 (55:06):
Because a lot of times people start businesses and it
can take a long time and it's hard for people.
They always come to me and look, I have several businesses.
It's taking a long time to even even out. So
for you, how long was that process to where you
were able to be like, Okay, well now I can
sustain myself and actually see money coming in immediately.
Speaker 2 (55:24):
Wow. From the for the line the sex for life.
That's the vault.
Speaker 13 (55:28):
It just started this in twenty nineteen. I started off
with just one hundred because we was making them in
the kitchen, so it was just one hundred and they
sold out immediately, and I took that and I started.
I invested into promo. So I got this girl, she
had like sixteen million followers, and she charged me twenty
five hundred dollars twenty eight hundred dollars okay to say that,
(55:49):
to put our name on the brand and say, you know,
promoted as you know, a brand to use. And I
sent her to his and Hers for her and her husband,
and she made a video about it, and I made
off of five minutes of post I mean eight thousand
and then a website crash.
Speaker 14 (56:04):
Talk more about that. Because you are known as someone
who used the influencer market and can teach people how
to market and to teach.
Speaker 13 (56:11):
People how to use influencers, Like I went out a business,
I'm like, yeah, yeah, at first I was, I was
the only brand ambassador. Once I've seen I did all
I could do, I'm like, you know what, I have
to go after the girl that's that's in the same
feel as me. So I started getting the influences with
millions of followers, but the ones that was showing anybody
on Instagram for the reason why I knew I needed
(56:32):
those because if you're showing your body, it's your mind.
You have a lot of male followers and at the time,
I only had a male product. So once they promoted
it and once they started using it, the feedback was crazy.
We had what ninety eight percent of return customers like
our customers on and.
Speaker 2 (56:48):
That's important, right.
Speaker 3 (56:49):
So you invested in an influencer, but you also had
a product that people like. Because what's the worst is
when you invest but your product ain't ish, right, that's
not going to happen. But it has to start within
a man is in product.
Speaker 13 (57:00):
Yeah, because they'll buy it one time for support, but
once they see that it working, it really really works.
It works.
Speaker 3 (57:06):
We're talking to Brick Jones, the founder of the Hidden
Vault dot com. And then how were you able to
keep up with the demand, because that's another issue once
people start something and they don't know how. Like you said,
the website crashed, oh man, and you were making it
in the kitchen.
Speaker 13 (57:19):
I took a lot of losses. One time for my birthday,
we had a birthday cell and we had over five
thousand packages and they lost the post office lost all
of them.
Speaker 2 (57:28):
What are you serious?
Speaker 13 (57:30):
I think because they involve became so popular it's such
short short time period of time, they started stealing them
and selling them because I'm like, oh my god, packages,
So imagine them losing that and I'm sold out. So
I still have all those people that I need to fulfill, right,
and I'm like sending them emails do you want your
money back?
Speaker 11 (57:50):
Or?
Speaker 13 (57:50):
With this happened like I had to be honest and
I had to stay in touch with them and let
them know what was going on, because as long as
you communicate with your customers, they are so understandable.
Speaker 12 (58:03):
Really understanding is like those customers she was she offered
the me a money back or for everybody saying look
sentence the product their way.
Speaker 13 (58:13):
What's the most popular product the vaginal rejuvenation for women
and the energy massage off of men. We made our
first million within twelve months off of just the driving.
Speaker 14 (58:23):
Yeah, you want to give a big shout out to
you started a foundation to help incarcerated women a scholarship.
Speaker 13 (58:30):
Giving back is huge to you. Yeah.
Speaker 14 (58:32):
I've also read how you are the face of your
brand because you want to show young females that women
can be entrepreneurs and be their own boss just by
being who they are.
Speaker 13 (58:42):
Yeah, because I think God chose me because of who
I was, because I wasn't holy thing. Now, I wasn't
in the church. I was a regular girl that other
people could relate to. So if they seen God save me,
they know that it can happen for them also. So
I just I give back because when you're incarcerated, you
feel like, look, I'm gonna come out of feeling this
is the end, and it really could be the beginning.
It doesn't have to be the end. And for me,
(59:03):

I'm here and the award winning advice giver Mano is
here too, so we're ready for your question.
Speaker 12 (01:00:41):
So I got a girl now not with me. When
I first met her, I have my other homie hook
me up times with me about their other friend. We
get together but hopefully, and now.
Speaker 11 (01:00:53):
You're like, oh, I don't even want her no more.
Speaker 2 (01:00:56):
You don't want her anymore because you want her friend.
Speaker 12 (01:00:58):
Yeah, so I don't want her friend. So I ended
up betting with her friend and now we're togethern now.
But it's like her close friend. I feel like let
her know.
Speaker 14 (01:01:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (01:01:08):
So the rhythm of plan was you but I've seen you,
and then I went from there.
Speaker 5 (01:01:13):
So did you know? So was you with the friend first?
Speaker 12 (01:01:16):
No? I never was with her friend at first, you know,
I just saw her, was like, you know, I'm killing her,
But then she but her friend the longer.
Speaker 11 (01:01:22):
Her friend was just killing her personality.
Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
Oh my gosh, killing her.
Speaker 3 (01:01:28):
Okay, so you guys want to tell her close friend
that your you guys are dating now?
Speaker 10 (01:01:33):
Well, her friend, no, but she never knew that I
was on her rib right.
Speaker 4 (01:01:37):
He always liked the friend and friend never knew that,
and he his girl, that's her friend.
Speaker 5 (01:01:42):
So does your girl like girls?
Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
Oh my gosh, man, this is not always a solution.
Speaker 12 (01:01:47):
No, no, it could be No, you know what, because
you didn't want to experiment that.
Speaker 11 (01:01:52):
But that's the valid point.
Speaker 5 (01:01:54):
Yes, because that might that might be your way of
bringing this together.
Speaker 3 (01:01:58):
Like, oh my gosh, but you know what, you don't
even want the other girl, right you said, yeah, this
one's killing her personality, so.
Speaker 5 (01:02:06):
You don't want it at all.
Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
No, I don't want to all you want to throw away?
Speaker 5 (01:02:10):
Oh this is yeah, is we never did nothing, you.
Speaker 10 (01:02:13):
Know like that, but a friend that she brought along
my girl.
Speaker 5 (01:02:16):
Now you're talking about conscience.
Speaker 4 (01:02:18):
You know, you go your girl, but you want you
want your you want your girl.
Speaker 12 (01:02:23):
But yeah, but I guess I just want to know
that I tell her, like, you know, the original plan
was now but you.
Speaker 5 (01:02:28):
Just want to friend.
Speaker 3 (01:02:29):
Honestly, I don't know. You never even did anything with
this other girl, right, nah? Yeah, so the plan didn't
work out. It's fine, you didn't do anything, no harm.
Speaker 5 (01:02:38):
No fan, he still want it all? He still I don't.
Speaker 10 (01:02:42):
I think it's consciences, your conscious.
Speaker 2 (01:02:46):
Hey, I would say this if you want.
Speaker 3 (01:02:48):
To tell her, that's fine, nothing happened anyway, and you
can just let her know it feels like you just
want to be open and honest with this person who
you're with, right, who you really care about in love.
I don't think it's a big deal. Nothing happened with
this other person. Whatever the intention was, it just didn't
work out. And there's a reason for everything, and fate
brought you with this woman.
Speaker 5 (01:03:07):
I'm gonna tell you, like this bro for me to
you take that to the grave.
Speaker 4 (01:03:12):
Okay, it can be because she'll be like, oh really
like he was like my friend, he was feeling my friend,
and that could turn into something else. She could create
a narrative behind that, and you know what, just leave
well enough alone.
Speaker 5 (01:03:27):
Take that to the grave.
Speaker 12 (01:03:30):
I think I'm gonna do that.
Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
Yeah, you think she'll ever find out?
Speaker 12 (01:03:34):
I asked the mutual friendity God, I'm like, hey, did
you ever met anything to her? He said he never did,
so I'm hoping that you really did not say nothing
at all, Like, yo, he's feeling you, You're gonna come
over whatever.
Speaker 3 (01:03:47):
This is kind of sucks when you know there's a
secret floating out there that could come out at any moment,
and then it's like it makes things bigger when you
don't tell, right, It seems like a bigger deal if
you keep it a secret.
Speaker 5 (01:03:58):
Keep it a secret.
Speaker 11 (01:03:58):
Bro, I I'm trying to person that said that. They
didn't say nothing, so I think.
Speaker 5 (01:04:03):
I think I'm gonna go with it, go with it.
Speaker 3 (01:04:05):

can take the award winning advice givers advice.

be safe, dance. I don't have those windows open or nothing.
Speaker 5 (01:06:04):

Speaker 2 (01:06:06):
No, this is not here, this is something new nowhere. Well,
they've had wildfires another part.
Speaker 4 (01:06:12):
But always seen wildfires, but never seen the whole air quality,
the orange.
Speaker 2 (01:06:16):
