Speaker 4 (00:21):
Did you hear the new Playboy CARDI songes that about you?
Speaker 3 (00:25):
What do you think?
Speaker 5 (00:26):
I think he was useless as a basketball cleats on it.
It wasn't necessary play my.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
Goodness, I want to stop the money that way, all right,
beat that anyway.
Speaker 4 (00:35):
We're gonna talk about a lot of different things today.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
I was actually in Milwaukee over the weekend.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Hey, the Midwest.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
Yes, I was there for a Sister Struck, which is
an annual walk that we do that supports women awareness
about getting early detection for breast cancer, so getting your
screenings done and things like that.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
On time, going on for a cause, like going out
for a cause.
Speaker 4 (00:56):
I met a lot of amazing people in Milwaukee, So
shout out to y'all. We'll talk about it when I
do about last night. A lot of activity over the weekend.
It's like NonStop things happening. I mean, I saw the
jazzmin Bring exclusive with r Kelly's daughter documentary that she
has coming out, and.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
We'll discuss that too.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
But in the meantime, we got to start this Monday
off with some positivity.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Let's shine a light eight hundred two nine.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
To fifty one fifty. Call us up and let us
know who you would like to shine a light on.
Oh gosh, here comes Downell Rowling.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
This way up.
Speaker 6 (01:30):
Turn your lights on, y'all. Light so it spreading love
to those who are doing greatness the light.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Shine the light on. It's time to.
Speaker 6 (01:40):
Shine a light on them.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
Yeah, it's way up at the Angela. Yee, I'm here,
beat out to beat. I'm all right, beat out, walk
carefully today. Okay, sure, all right, let's shine a light
and today I want to shine a light on April
in Milwaukee. She was the person that was in charge
of organizing Sister Stred out there over the weekend, and
(02:01):
I know last year was the first year that she
did it.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
This year absolutely amazing. You know, I went out there.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
By the time I got there, they were already before
we even started. Like before I got there, it was
already six hundred people. They are ready to walk. And
so I don't even know how many people it ended
up being. By the time it was all over. The
mayor came out as well with his twin daughters.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
So cute.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
But thank you to everybody in Milwaukee who came out.
Shout out to you, April. I know it's not easy
and it could be really nerve wracking, like putting things
like this together and hoping that everything goes well. But
the vendors were there, the T shirts were made, the
walkers ready to go, the hosting was amazing, the music.
We had such a fun time. It was really unifying
to be there with everybody. I met a lot of
women who are survivors, a lot of people who were
(02:46):
walking in honor of somebody who they've lost, and so
thank you to everybody for coming out and joining us.
I feel like cancer is something that has affected your life,
whether it's somebody you know who has suffered from cancer,
somebody who's passed, or yourself yep. And so it just
really important to make sure that you're getting your early
detection just in case anything's wrong.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
You need to know the earlier the better.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
How long did was the walk? How many miles?
Speaker 3 (03:10):
You know what? I think?
Speaker 4 (03:11):
I said, three miles. It didn't feel like that though.
It didn't feel like three miles. But by the way,
Milwaukee's beautiful. We were walking past like the water where
they have the boats and everything. I'm like, I need
to go back and spend some more time. Now, who
do you guys want to shine a light on? Eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty Tiffany, who you
want to shine a light on?
Speaker 7 (03:28):
I want to shine a light on you for always
gracing us with your elegance and grace to show us
what we need to do with powerful black women. And
I also want to shine a light on my dad.
Could you get a health crisis this week?
Speaker 8 (03:39):
But we prayed over.
Speaker 7 (03:40):
And the doctor said everything's good. So we shine a
light on God for showing us great.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
Well, first of all, thank you so much for including
me in this shine of light with your father, because
I know that's a huge impact in your life, and
I'm happy that he's doing well.
Speaker 7 (03:53):
I am too. Thank you so much, and bless you
and your family.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Thank you you too, Tiffany. That was really sweet. That
means a lot to me. Sometimes you do certain things
like Wealth Wednesdays and have certain guests and you're like, man,
I hope this is making a difference.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
So I'm glad to hear that.
Speaker 7 (04:06):
Thank you all.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Right, Well, that would shine a Light eight hundred two
nine fifty one fifty if we couldn't get through and
when we come back, beat out.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
You ready for this?
Speaker 4 (04:14):
R Kelly a documentary that his daughter is doing. We'll
talk about it. It's way up with Angela yee.
Speaker 6 (04:20):
They says, the rooms from industry shade to all of
gossip out angelas feeling that et.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
All right, it's way up with Angela.
Speaker 9 (04:31):
Yee.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
I'm here. We beat us. Let's get into some et.
Get ready for this.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
Beyonce and Levi's their denim collaboration is dropping this week.
So they did share a video teasing the line yesterday
and there was Beyonce and post.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Malone, wait drop today?
Speaker 4 (04:48):
Actually, yeah, so today is the day. So it's available
to purchase today, So get ready for that?
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Are you ready?
Speaker 1 (04:53):
I don't think they could fit me?
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Really?
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Why not?
Speaker 3 (04:56):
I think you could?
Speaker 4 (04:58):
And by the way, I was reading this article about
Sir Davis her whiskey and they were saying how it's
been hard for people to even get their hands on it.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Now for us, we had it like the first week.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yeah, I think we still have a little little bit left.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
But yeah, they're saying, liquor stars are even saying that
people are buying it, marking it up. It's been really
tough to get their hands on. So it seems like
that was a win. What wasn't a win, though, was
she was snubbed at the Country World's Awards season. At
the Choice Country Awards, she was Oh for seventeen.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
The people don't love Beyonce her.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
She had seventeen nominations and won zero. So all winners,
which is supposedly a self proclaimed award show for the
people and by the people, were decided by fan votes
and voting started August thirteenth ended August twenty third.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
She walked away, Oh for seventeen.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
You go to pour out some Sir Davis for Beyonce.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Yeah, isn't that crazy?
Speaker 4 (05:48):
But part of the reason why she did that album
was because of how racists the Country Music Awards typically
have been, right and that whole genre.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Don't let this happened at the Grammys, guys.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
All right, and let's talk about our Elly's daughter.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
The Jasmine Brand is reporting exclusively that one of his
daughters is alleging that he did something inappropriate and heartbreaking
while she was a child. Now they have this clip
where the children are speaking candidly about their experience with
their father and the current drama that he faces. Jrea
Kelly is also crying about what he allegedly did to
(06:23):
their kids, and his daughter joe Ane Kelly, is talking
about something that she did to him while she was
a child.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Right here is what that clip sounds like.
Speaker 5 (06:32):
Everywhere we go, everything we do is always going to
have some type of like double meaning under it, or
someone's going to read between lines that aren't there.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
He was everything for a long time. I didn't even
want to believe that it happened.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
I didn't know.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
That even if he was a bad person, they he
would do.
Speaker 10 (06:52):
Something to me.
Speaker 5 (06:53):
WHOA, I will say, Kel's is going to have his
day in court, but he's probably going to spend the
rest of his life in prison.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
Yeah, and you know, this documentary will be released October eleventh.
There's a lot of people that still support him and
feel like he was wronged. But this is going to
be something interesting because this is the first time I'm
hearing about this.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Yeah, why now? You know? Why not before?
Speaker 4 (07:13):
Well, the people always question that, and it's because sometimes
people don't feel strong enough to do it. Imagine coming
out against your own father. You know, it feels like
the ultimate betrayal, and sometimes you bury those things or
you don't want to pile on to everything that everybody
else is saying. It's your dad still, and so that's
a difficult, difficult thing to do. So I applaud the
strength and being able to ever come forward and say
(07:34):
that there's people that die with those secrets.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
All right, now, let's get into Bousy shesh. All right.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
Well, Bosie was doing Kresha Please Live, and he talked
about his daughter and not wanting his daughter to come
to the house with the other kids because his daughter
is gay.
Speaker 11 (07:55):
She's bring her situation to our house.
Speaker 12 (07:59):
Well, why she's because I don't want it to contaminate.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Who look up to.
Speaker 5 (08:06):
I won't know.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
Children don't like Boosy crazy well poison ivy. His daughter
then wrote an emotion well said, an emotional message to
her father.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Here's what she posted.
Speaker 5 (08:21):
I did everything in my power to understand that this
is my father regardless, I mean, accept him and love
him for who he is.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
Make me so many I love and respect my siblings,
and they respect me and love me.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
When you're getting on their nurves, I'm who they call
it don't matter how you feel.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
At the end of the day, I'm your blood, I
am your daughter. I think Boozy still loves his daughter.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
He does, I mean, but saying things like that, it's
really hurtful.
Speaker 5 (08:49):
I think it's going to be one of those matters
that's gonna have to be solved behind closed doors.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
Well, he actually posted, and he posted multiple pictures with
his daughter. He said, never meant to hurt you, and
he put a heartbreak emoji and he put I love you,
and then he said, y'all won't make me look like
a bad father. I love all my kids and I'm
a good father. And then he shared a photo with
two of his daughters and said we good three AOK.
And you know he's been posting pictures with her and
(09:14):
he said, God got us.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
It does feel hypocritical when he has a song called
a Dyking.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
A lot of people were commenting on you like it
when it's you with women, But you know what's the problem.
And so I even saw Marlon Wayne's weigh in on
it and say that he's not a monster. That man
is father that provides I believe him his daughter and
God will figure this out. But that's a hurtful thing
to say, and she had to point that out to him,
and she did it, I think in a very respectful,
mature way. All right, well that's your Yet when we
(09:41):
come back, we have about last night. That's where we
discussed what we did last night. If you hit a pause,
that's because of Beatt saying inappropriate things on the way.
Let's get into some sister right now here. Sure it's
way up.
Speaker 6 (09:54):
So about last night.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
I went down all right his way up at Angela.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
Yee, I'm here, beat us here.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
Well it was beat out, yo.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
What'd you do it for the weekend blog?
Speaker 7 (10:05):
Well?
Speaker 1 (10:05):
You know it was raining here in New York City, right,
So I didn't really do much.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
But it wasn't that bad.
Speaker 5 (10:10):
It was bad. But what I did do was I
was cooking. I went to Trade Joe's for the first time.
I went to Trade Joe's. I'm turned out. I'd never been.
I was like, yo, look all these affordable prices, the fools.
You could read the ingredients and it was delicious.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
What did you make? I made shrimp, scampy, orange chicken,
and some brown rice.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
So you mixed all those things?
Speaker 1 (10:33):
No, no, in different days. So I had that on Saturday.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
It's the weird combination, you.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Know what I'm saying. My daughter she liked it too,
so I know it was good.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
She would have definitely been like ill, Dad.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
Well, you know, I was in Milwaukee, and I was
there for Sister Strets, So shout out to everybody who
came out for Sister Streuts. And then my brother's birthday
was yesterday. My mom's birthday was September twenty sixth, and
then my brother's birthday was yesterday and he actually had
his birthday at my house.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
Ran get no invitation.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
It's my brother's birthday.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
Oh what have But I didn't know what was going
to happen because he kept talking. I was like, I
don't know who's coming. I don't know what's happening. But
we went to the same high school, so a lot
of my a couple of my friends from high school
were there, so that was nice. I had a good
chance to see everybody. My parents came over to so
that was cool. So shout out to my brother for
his birthday. And then Keys who does my makeup? She
(11:23):
had her birthday party over the weekend. When I tell
you had a very active weekend Milwaukee Friday, came back Saturday,
went straight to Keys's birthday party, then had to deal
with my brother for his birthday.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
And now I'm here.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
What did you get your brother and Keys for their birthday?
Speaker 4 (11:36):
Keys, we are going to get facials at this place
that we both like in Brooklyn. Shout out to Florida,
Lese and then my brother. I feel like him using
my house was enough.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
I feel like that was kind of good. But no,
we did it.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
I'm always doing stuff with him for my brother and
he does the same for me. All right, Well, when
we come back, tell us a secret. Eight hundred and
two ninety two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
All these secrets have been coming out with the celebrities.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
You want to hear yours now, Okay, eight hundred two
ninety two fifty one fifty, call us up and tell
us a secret before you end up in the news
and find out anyway. But you get to be anonymous.
It's no judgment. It's way up, yo, way up.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
This is a judgment free zone. Tell us a secret.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
It's way up at Angela. Yeah, I'm here and beat.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Out is here, well it beat Rols. Would I be man?
Speaker 3 (12:23):
Are you ready to tell us a secret.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
Now, remember the rules, right, people are anonymous and there
is no judgment.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Okay, maybe a little bit.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
No, we are not supposed to. I know it's hard,
but that's the whole point. And tell us a secret.
People get it off their chest and say something and
put it in the atmosphere and can move on with
their life from whatever it is they've done because we
don't know who they are, all right. Eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty anonymous color. You want to
tell us a secret?
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Absolutely?
Speaker 12 (12:47):
But can I first shout out today my birthday?
Speaker 9 (12:50):
You know?
Speaker 3 (12:51):
Okay, Libras Libra's all around us.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
Celebrating a birthday is all weekend.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
And no, it was my best friend Santi's birthday too,
on the twenty fifth.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Oh okay, what's your secret?
Speaker 12 (13:01):
All right? I'm not gonna look. I'm gonna come clean.
Two sisters pregnant right now and they don't even know
that it is. That is me, man.
Speaker 4 (13:09):
So the sisters must not be close because they don't
tell each other who they're pregnant.
Speaker 12 (13:13):
But they not. Yeah, they're not close, That's what I'm saying.
They're not close, but it is. It's a crazy situation
right now.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
How close are the pregnancies.
Speaker 12 (13:20):
Three months apart? If I'm not mistaken, you like three
months apart?
Speaker 3 (13:24):
So how did this even happen?
Speaker 1 (13:25):
He had sex?
Speaker 3 (13:26):
I know, but like, how do you meet both sisters?
Speaker 12 (13:28):
Did you know one of them is younger than the
other but they don't talk to each other like that.
Speaker 4 (13:33):
But I'm saying, like, how did you meet both of them?
Did y'all all grow up? Like how do you know
both of and because you knew they were sisters?
Speaker 12 (13:43):
Yeah, wow, the crazy thing. But then I found out
afterwards and it's like, yo, like I can't believe it's
both of them.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
You live like in a small town.
Speaker 12 (13:51):
Nah, I don't, it's crazy live in Boklyn.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
Wow, but you must have a type.
Speaker 12 (13:57):
Listen, sad asses.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
Sorry okay, okay, well thank you for calling, and good
luck with that. Just take care of your kids who
are also cousins.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
It's gonna be a crazy baby shower.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Yeah that is. It's a family, right, Okay, literally we
are family. What's up? Anonymous? Call it? How are you?
Speaker 12 (14:14):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (14:14):
Fine?
Speaker 12 (14:14):
How are you?
Speaker 3 (14:15):
I'm good? You want to tell me I beat out
a secret.
Speaker 8 (14:18):
Yes, it's been a long time.
Speaker 11 (14:20):
Color I need to tell somebody. Okay, Well, when I
was about sixteen, I was pregnant and my mom has
this little new kitten.
Speaker 8 (14:29):
That she had gotten.
Speaker 11 (14:30):
I don't like cats, so when I woke up, the
cat was curled up under my stomach and that just
kind of creeped me outside. Put the cat outside, and
it was really cold. When we woke up the next morning.
Speaker 8 (14:42):
The cat was frozen stiff.
Speaker 5 (14:43):
There.
Speaker 11 (14:44):
Oh, I know I blamed it on my brother, so
my mom doesn't know to this day that I did.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
That is so sad. You didn't mean to kill the
cat though, No.
Speaker 8 (14:55):
I didn't know who's going to die, but I didn't
want him under my stomach.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
Oh my god.
Speaker 12 (15:01):
He was so young.
Speaker 11 (15:02):
He didn't name oh a.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Little cat, and I was just wanting to say something.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
I love cats. That is so sad. All right, Well,
thank you for sharing with us. I know your mama's devastated.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
Yes she was.
Speaker 12 (15:14):
But my brother got in trouble deeply.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
All right, Well, thank you for calling all right, Dollie,
Oh that's so mean man.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
All right, well that is tell us a secret eight
hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. If you didn't
get through, you can still call us up. And tell
us a secret. All right, I feel like I need
to turn her in.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Do we have her number? Kid? That was awful? Is
that a crime?
Speaker 1 (15:38):
It might be, I think it is.
Speaker 3 (15:42):
I feel bad. It's so sad. I grew up with cats.
All right.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
Well, anyway, when we come back, I have a really
really sad story. We want to say rest in peace
to the Kimbe Matumbo. He has passed away at fifty
eight years old from brain cancer. NBA Global Ambassador, Basketball
Hall of Famer. I will give you some more details.
I actually had done some things in the coffee space
with the Cambe Mtumbo and who rest in peace. He's
(16:07):
an amazing person. I had no idea. It's way up
at Angela ye yeetee is next.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
Oh she's about to blow the lead ab off this,
but I just get it.
Speaker 6 (16:13):
Oh yeah, Angela's villing that yeete.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
Come and get the tea.
Speaker 4 (16:17):
All right, it is way up with Angela yee. I'm
Angela yee and.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
Beat out his yere with me today.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (16:23):
Oh my gosh. And we have to start this off
with some breaking news and our condolences go out to
the family and friends of the Cambe Matimbo. NBA legend.
He has died from brain cancer at the age of
fifty eight.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
So young, so young. You know, I had done some things.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
He has a coffee company, Mutumbo Coffee, and it's from
the Congo, and that's where he's from. And it was
all about making sure you know where your cup comes from.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
And so I just wanted to shout out to him.
He was amazing.
Speaker 4 (16:55):
I was so excited to be doing panels and things
like that with him. The Commission for the NBA Adam Silver,
put out a statement to Kimbae Matimbo was simply larger
than life. On the court, he was one of the
greatest shot blockers and defensive players in the history of
the NBA. Off the floor, he poured his heart and
soul into helping others. There was nobody more qualified than
to Kimbe to serve as the NBA's first global ambassador.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
He was a humanitarian at his core, and that is
so true.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
And he said on behalf of the entire NBA family.
I sent my deepest condolences to the Kimba's wife, Rose
and their children, his many friends, and the global basketball
community which he truly loved and which loved.
Speaker 5 (17:32):
Him back Hall of Famer. Definitely one of the most
influential plays.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
In the game, all right. Also, rest in peace to
boxer Malik Birdsong. He died at the age of thirty one.
He was shot and killed in LA He was fifteen
one and one and apparently this incident took place near Watts.
They said he was standing outside of his vehicle talking
to his girlfriend. That's when two men got out of
their car, chased him down and shot at him. He
(17:56):
sustained seven gunshot wounds to his tour. So he was
supposed to be fighting October twenty sixth. That was going
to be his next fight. He was only thirty one again,
so rest in peace to him.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Really sad. What's going on all right now.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Clarissa Shields in the meantime, is very upset at ESPN
because she did not make it onto the Trail Blazing Athletes' List.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
And I was sitting here.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
Talking to you bet that about why she definitely deserves
to be on that list. She actually is a two
time gold Olympic medalist, and she actually won in women's
boxing the first year that that qualified as an Olympic
event back in twenty twelve.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
She was the first American woman to win.
Speaker 5 (18:37):
Yeah, you definitely educated me. And based off what you're
telling me, she pulogs to.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
That list twenty Yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
So she's a three time undisputed champ, five weight world champion,
fifteen time world champ, definitely a trailblazer. She actually her
fight against Savannah Marshall was the most watched women's professional
boxing event in history.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
And here's what she had to say on Live This four.
Speaker 10 (19:00):
This article gotten me so hot because in the article
he's talking about how, you know, he hasn't agreed with
someone's in the past, but this time I write, and
then he doesn't put any facts in it. You guys
don't care about my accomplishments being overlooked.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
But to sit there and see that I'm not a trailblazer.
Speaker 10 (19:17):
And the fact is, had I not said anything, it
would have just rocked out.
Speaker 4 (19:22):
But yes, Clarisa Schell's I have to agree with you. You
definitely deserve to be on that list. And she said
if I don't speak out, nobody else will, right And
she does have a movie coming out about her life,
a biopic that's going to be out on Christmas where
Ryan Destiny is playing her. Oh so shout out to Clarisachelle,
shout out to Flint, Michigan.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
But you're gonna get cast angel.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
To play Clarisa. Shit, not at all.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
Listen, she's amazing. I think she's amazing though I've always
been a fan of hers. All right, well that is
your yet when we come back, we have under the radar.
These are the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines.
They are flying under the radar. Would you be scared
to invest a hundred million dollars of your own money
into something I don't even.
Speaker 1 (19:59):
Have a hundred diar.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
We'll talk about it. It's way up in the.
Speaker 6 (20:03):
News that relates to you. These stories are flying under
the radar, all.
Speaker 4 (20:07):
Right, his way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here beat
outs here under the radar, all right. I saw this
article about Francis for a Coppola. He borrowed over one
hundred million dollars against his own wine business, and that
was to fund his movie Megalopolis, which is not doing
I think what he thought it was going to do.
You know him from obviously The Godfather, right, the Conversation Apocalypse. Now, well,
(20:31):
this movie, Megalapolis was a movie that's a sci fi
that takes place in a Roman reimagining of New York City.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
Have you seen it?
Speaker 1 (20:39):
I even heard about it until just now.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
Well, you know, the film has gotten extremely mixed reactions
from critics. The Wall Street Journal is calling it a
spectacular catastrophe. It's had some bad press, It's had some controversy.
There were allegations which Coppola has denied about inappropriate onset conduct,
and their distributor, lines Gate, pulled trailer for the film
after Vulture reported it contained inaccurate quotes from critics.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
One hundred million dollars.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
Yes, and that's not how much the movie actually costs.
More than that.
Speaker 4 (21:08):
Wow, but that's how much he had to borrow from
his own wine company.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
See.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
He said he went to the bank and said how
much can I borrow? And his son Roman said he
wasn't surprised by the move. He said that he found
it thrilling to see his father use the money to
pursue something that he's passionate about.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
How much of the gross, Well, it made.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
About between five to seven million dollars at his debut
at the box office.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
Damn.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
So you know they're reporting that that movie costs about
one hundred and thirty six million dollars to make. Can
you imagine talk about betting on yourself?
Speaker 1 (21:39):
Damn man should took the under budd you know.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Francis for a.
Speaker 4 (21:44):
Coppola did tell the Wall Street Journal he said that
he felt the film would have a very auspicious opening
and that time is on my side. But even if
it feels at the box office, he has a plan
that could involve attacks right down, he said, I'm very old,
so it all goes.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
Into an estate plan.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
Wow, ooh, all right, must be nice to have that
type of money to bet on yourself.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
Sound all right.
Speaker 4 (22:04):
And Hurricane Helene, you know, our prayers go out to everybody.
Nearly one hundred people so far, they're saying have died
across six states, and more than two million homes are
without power, and I saw more than six hundred people
are unaccounted for.
Speaker 5 (22:17):
So oh my gosh, I feel like it feels like
it's just not getting enough attention.
Speaker 4 (22:23):
Well, it's going to continue to get attention, they said.
Roads are closed off, it's hard for people to get
what they need right now. So our prayers to everybody
just keep us updated on the ground on what's happening.
All right, Well, that is you're under the radar. We
have the Way Up mixed at the top of the
hour plus more with me and beat out. This morning
it's way up at Angela Yee. And this afternoon just like.
Speaker 7 (22:42):
The tout like they Angela Jean, like they Angeli Jee.
Speaker 6 (22:45):
Man, she's spilling it all.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
This is yet way up.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
It's way up at Angela Yee. I'm here and beat
out his hair. Wepping all right.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
Drake's final ticket sales for the It's All a Blur
tour and they said that he has the top grossing
hip hop tour to date, a gross a total of
three hundred and twenty point five million dollars. They sold
up each of the eighty shows on the North American run.
Speaker 5 (23:10):
Let the Internet tell you Drake is going to be
like performing at sobs or selling oranges on the highway
or something.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
Ah well, congratulations to him. I also saw with the
Diamond singles. We just discussed that too. He's uh surpassed Eminem,
but people were saying that a lot of his our
guest appearances Eminem is Eminem.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Everdence, Yeah, He's still the highest selling raff of ahull time.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
All right, Lauren Hill fans.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
In the meantime, I had to wait until three am
for her performance in Nairobi. She was scheduled to headline
the second day of the Walkertown Festival and unfortunately her
performance didn't start until three am and it continued all
until almost five am.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
Are you doing to stay out here?
Speaker 3 (23:47):
There were some technical issues.
Speaker 4 (23:48):
The sound check wasn't completed until hours after scheduled start time.
The festival was delayed. People were complaining and you know.
Speaker 5 (23:57):
Stop me if you heard this before. I don't want
to sound like I'm the Laura Hill hate every time
I'm up here. But she has a pattern. I told
you before. I don't think Lauren Hill cares about her fans.
One album does not make her above approach.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
She was also in the Fujis. They had multiple albums,
so they'll have her Yeah unplugged as well, so you
know there you have it all right. And Missy Elliott
is the third female rapper to pull in over two
million dollars from one concert, so congratulations to her for that.
That's a big deal.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
That's impressive.
Speaker 4 (24:27):
Congratulations she's and I love Missy Elliott. She'd be staying
out the way and tell you out the mix booked
and busy though showing up on time, and so she's
now joined Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj in the top three.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
All right now.
Speaker 4 (24:40):
Diddy could face further charges following his arrest for sex
trafficking and racketeering. A grand jury has heard sworn testimony
from a sex worker another male escort who was allegedly
contacted to do these freak off sex parties.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
Allegedly, they asked about his travel.
Speaker 4 (24:55):
Whether they cross state lines or an international border, also
payments for sex, whether he was paid in cash, wire transfer?
Speaker 3 (25:02):
What was it?
Speaker 4 (25:03):
There is also a sex worker last week who handed
over footage of a freak off and also signed an
agreement meaning they can offer evidence without being at risk
of incriminating themselves.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Where are sex workers coming from?
Speaker 10 (25:14):
Man?
Speaker 1 (25:14):
We need to build a wall like puff Is just
hire them allegedly left and right.
Speaker 4 (25:18):
And then he has another sexual assault and alu lawsuit
alleging pregnancy harassment and coercion. A woman says that she
was forced into take ketamine and other substances. She lost consciousness,
later learned she was pregnant, suffered a miscarriage, and also
accused someone very close to Ditty of harassing her about
an abortion prior to the loss of the pregnancy.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
I know, listen, it doesn't stuff for her.
Speaker 4 (25:42):
There's like over fifty people now being represented wow by
an attorney with all of these different allegations. Now Diddy's
attorney says a plea bargain is not an option. So
he is adamant that he is innocent, and that's why
he's not going to plead guilty.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
He's going to be truthful about this case.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
Because he wants to portrait that to other people who
have loved him his whole life. He feels like it's
an obligation to people in general.
Speaker 5 (26:05):
I don't know, man in his own words, take that.
Take that because the government is going to slam him
if he loses.
Speaker 4 (26:10):
And there's a lot of stories coming forward. Somebody, you know,
shout out to my guysh Chattus. He wrote this book
Be a Disruptor. But you know he's also one of
the owners of Brooklyn chop House and when he was
up here, he told the story in his book and
he's never revealed who it was, but someone who worked
there actually gave me some intel.
Speaker 3 (26:29):
Listen to this.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
I just opened Felip Chow and I got a call
from I think it was like the Inquirer or something.
They said, we're offering you a million dollars for the tape.
There's a tape a hip hop mogul and a Hollywood starlett.
We're having sex in one of the private rooms at
Philip and I said to the manager to me a
favor before I even get an inch of temptation deleted
off the server.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
Wow, that might be a health Co violation.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
Well guess who that hip hop mogul allegedly was.
Speaker 4 (26:55):
I don't know man put it all together, but yes,
I definitely listen a lot of different stories are coming out.
People are talking and hearing about things.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
We need to sex on the beach and.
Speaker 4 (27:06):
One day, you know what, I might tell you guys
who the starlet is as well? All right, well that
is your ye t And when we come back, we

Speaker 3 (27:18):

Speaker 1 (27:21):

Speaker 6 (27:22):
Everybody, except whether it's relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping
facts SHO should know.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
This is ask gee, what's up?
Speaker 4 (27:29):
His way up at Angela yee, I'm here and beat
out his hair with me today guest hosting.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
That's right with two chains on. We have asked ye
right now and Veronica's on the line. What's up? Veronica?
Speaker 12 (27:40):
Hi?
Speaker 11 (27:40):
Ye? Who's there with you today?
Speaker 3 (27:42):
Beat out? Hey?
Speaker 8 (27:43):
Beat out?
Speaker 2 (27:43):
What's up?
Speaker 1 (27:44):
What's up? Chilling? How you doing?
Speaker 3 (27:45):
That's good?
Speaker 8 (27:47):
Good?
Speaker 7 (27:47):
So my questiness my man with sleeping right, I open
his phone with his face ID and I said something
like about another girl hotshaw just before I beat him up.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
Violence isn't the answer.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
So when you found him talking to another girl?
Speaker 11 (28:03):
Yeah, and I saw all like pictures, how money?
Speaker 4 (28:08):
So you opened this phone because you knew he was cheating? Yes, okay,
and now you confirmed it? So now what I want
to fight? Fight who? Instead of just breaking up with him?
I want to know because you want to say you
want to fight him, but still like, what's the point
of fighting them?
Speaker 3 (28:28):
If?
Speaker 1 (28:28):
Like?
Speaker 3 (28:28):
What what would that accomplish for you?
Speaker 11 (28:30):
You're but how so I addressed it like bring it
up in.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
How long you guys been together?
Speaker 11 (28:37):
Tears?
Speaker 4 (28:37):
And how old are you? Okay, Well here's my thoughts.
How did you know he was cheating, because you know.
Speaker 11 (28:44):
What, a man starts moving funny.
Speaker 8 (28:47):
I just felt like a bad line.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
Okay, Well, since he's not honest, now is the time
for you to be honest and you can say you
were acting funny. I had a bad vibe. I checked
your phone so that you were seating, cheating on me.
Saw the pictures, saw your convers stations. Initially, I wanted
to fight both of y'all, but you know what, I'm
ready to move on. Are you ready to move on
from his cheating or do you want to stay with him?
Speaker 11 (29:08):
I'm ready to move on.
Speaker 3 (29:09):
Forget it.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
Man, you're not over it, which is okay, and it's
okay to be honest. You can say you really hurt
my feelings. It's going to take me some time to
get over this, but I will for you. The best
revenge always comes later when you moved on to something
bigger and better. Okay, But you in the meantime, take
your time, do what you need to do, hang out
(29:31):
with your girls. You can sit at home and cry
when you feel like you need to sit at home
and cry. Go through what you need to go through.
Don't rush into anything else, right and stick by it.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
And if you need to tell your friend's.
Speaker 4 (29:41):
Look, I'm trying not to call this man, so anytime
I feel like calling him, I'm gonna call you instead.
I just need you all to be there for me
and help me take accountability and be supportive of me
through this time. Do what you need to do for
yourself and hold yourself accountable.
Speaker 9 (29:55):
I like that.
Speaker 11 (29:55):
Take better than you know. It's kicking out an angry all.
Speaker 3 (29:59):
His sulf Yeah, because listen, gods get way more nervous
when you be calm, don't they.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
I wouldn't know, angela yeah, beat up, sure.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
Listen, they get it really.
Speaker 4 (30:08):
And you know what else is going to kill him
the fact that he lost a good woman for some bs.
Speaker 3 (30:13):
And they always try to come back.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
And by that time you're going to be like, I'm
good hunt enjoy, you're right around me, all.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
Right, thank you for calling. That's what you do. You
coach yourself having your best time or not at all.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
Or you could just tweet out I did.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
And did that too, it's and did not I did
and did all right?
Speaker 4 (30:34):
Well that was ask ye eight hundred two ninety two
fifty one fifty in case you couldn't get through. And
when we come back, man, let's talk about that, you know,
since Veronica call today. I remember back in the day,
they had this book. It's called The Breakup because it's
broken with some breakup tips, and I want to hear
it because you're you're a guy and you've gone through breakups.
I want to know, from a man's point of view,
what are some good breakup tips? And I'll tell you
(30:54):
what my tips are. Oh boy, oh boy. When we
come back, we'll discuss its Way Up with Angela. Yeah,
we want to hear yours too, So make sure you
add us at Way up with ye ye.
Speaker 3 (31:05):
Yee is what you're all being waiting, folks, Oh.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
You're tapped in the way Up with Angela yee?
Speaker 3 (31:11):
What's up? His way up with Angela yee?
Speaker 4 (31:13):
I'm here and beat out his guest hosting with me today,
that's right, and coming off with that, ask ye. I
try to give Veronica some breakup tips, and I'm pretty
good at this. I've helped a lot of friends get
through breakups. I've gone through breakups myself, but I feel
like men and women break up differently, you know, So
for you, what are some things you would say need
to happen for you to have a successful breakup so
(31:34):
you don't slide back.
Speaker 5 (31:35):
Man, I don't know. I'm pretty bad at breakup tips.
I just talked to my barber, or like crying a shower,
You crying.
Speaker 3 (31:41):
The shower for real.
Speaker 4 (31:42):
It's okay because guys cry during breakups too, even though
y'all try to act tough.
Speaker 5 (31:45):
Yeah, because if you talk to your friends about it,
they're gonna call your name and just say, get some money,
f her and move on. That's what the resolution is.
Speaker 4 (31:52):
A lot of times, I feel like guys also try
to cover it up by dating really fast, really quickly again,
and women don't necessarily do that.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
May we try to get under somebody else, you know,
like ultimate rebound right right.
Speaker 4 (32:05):
But sometimes that makes you hurt even more sometimes because
then you're like, man, I miss her. You might be
okay for a few months. I feel like guys are
always put a band aid on it, and then later
on they're like, I do miss X.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
Y Z miss people. Just gotta stay busy, yeah.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
Staying busy.
Speaker 10 (32:19):
Now.
Speaker 4 (32:19):
I will say some of my tips for a breakup
is too, and I think a lot of women do this.
We get up with our friends, we try to do
things like start going to the gym again, you know,
come up with some classes, things to do the better yourself.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
I think the best thing to do after a breakup.
Speaker 4 (32:34):
Sometimes when you're in a relationship, you don't do the
things you need to do for yourself. It's the perfect
time to do that. I even started doing radio after
a bad breakup.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
That's what made me.
Speaker 4 (32:43):
That's what made me decide to like shift in my career.
Because sometimes you feel like I might as well just
go for it. This didn't work out, nothing to lose.
Let's throw something against the wall. See what sticks. Also,
don't communicate. I think the hardest thing is when you're
still talking to your ex. So you have to just
cut ties and just say right now, I can't really
speak to you. That's a hard thing to do. Don't
(33:03):
go looking at their page all the time or seeing
what they're up to. Ask your friends to not mention
that persons children together. Right Yeah, now, if you have
kids together, it's a whole different thing. But if not,
I don't want to hear what he's up to. Don't
tell me things, you know how. Sometimes your friends will
be like, oh I saw such and such was that
with this person? I don't even want to know, all right,
And those are my first tips. I would say, it's
(33:25):
okay to have your feelings. Sometimes you need to just
sit at home and cry. And the worst thing you
can do is really try to like jump back into
something else because sometimes it's so different it makes you
miss what you used to have. So you need to
kind of like work on you. It's okay to have friends,
and it is okay to go like on a little date,
but don't immediately, yeah, try to have a new man,
(33:45):
because it's never going to be what you expected right away.
All right, Well, that is some of my tips. Be
it at thanks for yours too, cry in the shower,
shut to your.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
Barber, on the toilet, whatever comes first.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
Do you look at people's pages?
Speaker 1 (33:58):
Stealer, Nah, maybe.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
I'm trying to act so cool.
Speaker 4 (34:03):
Well, when we come back, those are our words, but
of course you can weigh into on the last word
eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty kept.
Speaker 6 (34:10):
The phone tapping, It gets your voice heard. What the
word is?
Speaker 3 (34:15):
The last word on way up with Angela Yee? What's up?
Is way up with Angela Yee?
Speaker 4 (34:19):
I'm Angela Yee And beat out his hand beat up
because you stop playing with my lipstick. I thought it
was a light of This is Valentino. This is the
color that I have on today. This is my spike Valentino.
But what's really great about it is and this is
a tip for you as a guy.
Speaker 3 (34:35):
Right, and I know you have a daughter.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
Yes she's not wearing lipstick yet though.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
Okay, fair enough, but when she does listen to this,
that's the magnet. And this actually, as a woman, we
have a very difficult time and some mental with our
our lipsic caps falling off and then the lips it
gets all over everything. Well, this is magnetic, so as
soon as you put it on, it doesn't come right off.
But then you can hear it snap close.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
It's not a lighter.
Speaker 4 (35:00):
It's so cute though you see the little study around it.
Shout out to Valentino. I love this and I love
this color too. Well, anyway, it is time for you
guys to have the last word. We had a lot
to talk about today, Yes we did. All kinds of
t being spilled up here. You love it, don't you
be that?
Speaker 1 (35:16):
You love hot?
Speaker 3 (35:17):
Piping hot? All right? Well, of course you guys have
the last word.
Speaker 9 (35:21):
It sold me some money, and so kind of got
smart when I asked him for it. So I flew
him and took him the mouse more than one, and
then when he didn't pay quick enough, our garners just
checked and so I kind of feel a little bit
bad about that, but not really because he was a
(35:42):
doubt and he deserved it.
Speaker 12 (35:43):
I want to tind the light on fift any Carver who's.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
Been there for me since day one.
Speaker 11 (35:49):
I really appreciate you and everything she has done.
Speaker 12 (35:52):
I'm not for giving me five beautiful baby.
Speaker 8 (35:55):
All right, my lay is super I'm calling from Milwaukee.
I would like to shine a light Angela Gui to
coming to our discruct instructing with us to support the
women that's fighting and survivors for breast cancer. Thank you,
Angelou and blest us to everyone that did the walk
