Speaker 1 (00:01):
You are not.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
What I call it? Yeah, Happy Friday. What's up its
way up at Angela Yee? You know what it is.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
It's a holiday weekend and I gotta say today I
am thrilled to be bringing you this world premiere.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
This has all the heavy hitters on it all right.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
This is a DJ Khaled song feature Ray Vibes, Cartel,
who is gonna be at the Far Place for Labor
Day weekend, So get ready for that Bouja Bontine, Bounty
Killer and my Fido. The song is called You Remind Me.
I know y'all can't wait to hear it, So let's
get into it right now.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
It's way up.
Speaker 4 (00:52):
Turn your lights on, y'all spreading love to those who
are doing greatness.
Speaker 5 (00:57):
Light shot.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
It's time to shine a light on them.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
What's up his way up with Angela Yee? And you
know what time it is. It is time to shine
a light on this beautiful Friday. And today I want
to shine a light. And I actually had texted this
woman a couple of days ago, and her name is
michude At. Now she does do my makeup sometimes, but
that is not like her primary thing that she does.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
You know.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
She also designs costumes. She also worked with Juba's Place
as an influencer, and she has a studio that you
could rent out to do shoots and things like that.
But the reason why I really want to shine a
light on her is because when I went to this
Dubious Place event, one thing that Carol, who's there head
(01:45):
of marketing, said to me was that Mashuda has been
talking about me for years to the brand, and you
know that she was really excited that I was there,
but she was like, you know, we're such big fans
of yours and we really started following you.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Because of Machute that.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
And so I just think it's so important that there's
people who speak about you when you're not in the room,
there's people who have positive things to say, because you
know what, sometimes we get so used to people talking
crazy about us behind our backs.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
We do have to uplift the.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
People that when we're not there, they are the ones
that are Oh my god, you know, she would be great.
I would love for her to do this, And she
had even said to me like this brand really, you know,
Dubious Place really wants to work with you. And so
I'm just glad it all I finally came to fruition.
But I do think it's just so important to have
people like that who are just truly good people that
(02:36):
speak your.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Name when you're not there, that speaks volumes.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
Everybody can say anything they want to your face, but
what are they saying when you're not there?
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Behind your back? Now, deity, who do you want to
shine a light on?
Speaker 5 (02:47):
I want to shine a light on my stepmom, my day.
Speaker 6 (02:51):
I'm society my son.
Speaker 7 (02:53):
Two years ago they sent my number one supporters.
Speaker 6 (02:56):
I just want to let the whole world know how
much I love them for love of my kids.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Oh that's beautiful.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
You know, it takes a village, they say, And nothing
better than having some help.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
What are their names?
Speaker 5 (03:08):
My dad name is Lamar and that's my son middle name,
and my stepmom name is Melissa.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
All right, well, Lama and Melissa, thank you so much
for helping our girl out.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
All right, Well, thank you for calling. Thank you time
you too.
Speaker 6 (03:21):
All right.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Well that was Shina Light eight hundred and two nine
two fifty one fifty. Just in case you couldn't get through,
you could always leave a message in China Light that way.
And when we come back, we have your yeat, and
let's talk about Mariah Carey. You will not believe who
she looks at as somebody who is a misconnection.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
All right, it's way up.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
They say in the rooms from industry shade to all
the gossip out send Angela's feeling that yeat.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Its way up with Angela yea, and it's time for
your yea. Te So Mariah Carey was recently on brown
Back Mornings and she had something to say about meeting
Tupac at an award show and just being really filustered
after that. Here's what she said, more than butterfars, he
said it like him, ay.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
I was.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
That would have been the power couple of all power couples,
I'm telling you, Mariah, like no one I wish. Can
you imagine Mariah Carey and Tupac. That might have changed
the whole way she did music after that, you know.
And she even talked about it in her memoir that
she put out in twenty twenty. She said she was
hosting the AMAS, but she had to keep going back
and forth. But she said, I wanted to keep going
(04:36):
back and forth because that happened, because you know.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
He was like, Hi, Mariah, and she saw him roll up.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
In a Rolls Royce. So you know, Mariah, I little
tug at her. Let's never forget that now. Nick Cannon
in the meantime on his Nick Cannon at Night podcast,
reflected on having to be Mariah's support system while they
were married, and he just said, you know.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Most men don't get to marry Mariah Carey. Here's what
he say.
Speaker 8 (05:00):
I love the fact that she put all of her work,
all of her passion, all of her art first, and
I could be there to be that support often.
Speaker 7 (05:08):
Nah.
Speaker 8 (05:08):
I used to say, like the thing that was dope
is like when she turned hers on, I'll turn mine off.
So I had I was very comfortable in supporting her.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Well, that is your yet.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
And since everyone's telling secrets right now one eight hundred
two nine two fifty one fifty, we want to hear
your secrets, all right, so call us up any secret
you have, it is a no judgment zone. You are anonymous.
That's eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. Even
Mariah's telling secrets. Everybody's putting a memoirs. Start your memoir
right here with us. On way up with angela Ye
(05:37):
eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty is way up?
Speaker 2 (05:40):
This is a judgment free zone. Tell us a secret?
What's up?
Speaker 3 (05:46):
His way up with Angela Yee And that was Dj
Khalid featuring Post Malone, an NBA young boy with brother.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
That's a world premiere.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
Now let's get into the world premiere of your secrets?
Speaker 2 (05:57):
All right? Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty.
What's up Anonymous?
Speaker 5 (06:01):
Call it?
Speaker 2 (06:01):
What's your secret?
Speaker 6 (06:02):
I just played with my baby daddy and I just
put a restraining order on him two months ago.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
So he was had a restraining order, but clearly he
broke that. And then you guys slept together.
Speaker 6 (06:13):
Yeah, we both broke it.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
So now what is this gonna be that?
Speaker 5 (06:18):
I'm not getting back together.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
It's just gonna be that.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
So what do you think, no more restraining Why did
you get a restraining order in the first place? Because
we've been so a lot with two two years and
we got a son together, and he came.
Speaker 6 (06:31):
And busted my house window out.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
Oh yeah, that's a So nobody knows about this, Like
you don't want to tell your friends because you're embarrassed.
Speaker 6 (06:39):
Oh I'm not even embarrassed about it. I just don't
want nobody to know.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
All right, girl, Well, at least you know what it is.
Be safe out there. You thank you, all right, thank
you for calling. Hey, what's up, anonymous caller?
Speaker 2 (06:53):
How are you? I'm good?
Speaker 3 (06:56):
You want to tell us a secret?
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Oh you wear a lyft in your shoes? Okay? How
tall are you? Okay? You're my height? Okay? And with
the lyft, how tall are you?
Speaker 8 (07:10):
Bob?
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Do you normally date taller women?
Speaker 9 (07:15):
No?
Speaker 7 (07:16):
D small?
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Okay? So why do you wear the lift? You just
want to appear taller.
Speaker 5 (07:21):
Yeah, it's like a walking around without them. It feels
like super weird.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
H all right, It's like kind of like when we
wear waist trainers and stuff. It's like a padded bra
for your feet. Okay, all right, well, thank you for sharing.
Well that was tell us a secret eight hundred nine fifty.
If you couldn't get through, you could always leave a
(07:46):
message and tell us a secret. That way, And when
we come back, we have your yet, And let's talk
about Cameron. He recently did his talk with Flea and
amongst the things that he discussed, of course damon Dash,
but he talked about something that he's never really discussed before,
like why he didn't promote Dame Dash's movie Honor Up
or the album with a track, and how he was
(08:08):
forced into being in the movie. Well, discuss what happened
and the fallout from that.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
It's way up, yo, she about to blow the lid
about this, but let's get it. Oh, Angelus feeling that
yee te Come and get your tea.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (08:21):
His way up at Angela? Yee and it's time for
your yee te. So Cameron's talk with Flee. People are
loving this show and on this latest episode he talked
about the movie Honor Up and why he did not
promote this Dame Dash movie.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Here's what he said. Dain't got a.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
Movie called Honor Up. He's shooting it on one hundred
twenty fifth and twelfth Avenue. That's talking. I'm about to
go to Jersey, Yo, stop by this set real quick.
All right, I'll stop by for a minute. Dame comes over, yo,
get cam afir you In the next scene, camp I said, Dan,
I don't want to be in this movie. Oh you
gonna do me like that? Poors? Now the gilt trips
on me? Well I want you to do is one
(08:54):
little scene Finn Dane. I don't like the movie.
Speaker 5 (08:58):
I don't like it.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
I don't like That's why.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
I feel like at some point Cameron's gonna have Dame
Dash on the show just to kind of talk about
all of the history. He also discusses Mace and Dame
Dash getting into it and why he had to side
with Mace.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Here's what he had to say about that.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
I don't know if Murder knew or not Dame could box.
I couldn't let Murder gaid to fight and he don't know.
Dame is a Golden Gloves boxer, and I couldn't let
Murder walk into that blind side. So I kind of
took Murder's side and that situation.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
I know at some point Damon Dash is going to
respond to all of these things too. By the way,
all right, and speaking of interviews, Marlon Wayams did goat
talk for Complex and here's some of the goat situations.
He talked about, what is the goat super Bowl halftime
performance ever?
Speaker 2 (09:44):
And here's what he had to say.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
I think Kendrick Lamar has the best one.
Speaker 6 (09:47):
I think it was just so iconic.
Speaker 8 (09:49):
He evil ha Drake, Why are you gonna bring him up?
Speaker 1 (09:53):
Forty million people.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
He also talks about the Goat White Chicks line to
quote and here's what he said. That is triple t
K A time to totally kick offs.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
All right, well, get ready for his Hymn movie that's
going to be in theater September nineteenth, and that is
your yet when we come back, we have under the radar.
These are the stories that are not in the headlines.
They're flying under the radar, but for sure you need
to know about them.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
It's way up. Check the news.
Speaker 5 (10:18):
News.
Speaker 4 (10:18):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (10:23):
Its way up with Angela. Yeah, and it's time for
your under the radar stories.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
This one man.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
I wanted to bring this up because recently we had
Sasha Vickery on. She's a professional tennis player and she's
on OnlyFans and people were going in on her for it.
But this might change some of your minds because Sophie
Rain recently was having a conversation with David Doebrick that
they posted on YouTube and she was talking about how
much she makes on OnlyFans. She's an OnlyFans creator, and
(10:51):
you will not believe this amount.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Listen to this.
Speaker 5 (10:54):
Tawesome rumors on Twitter about how much money you make?
Speaker 7 (10:56):
That was all true.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
No one believes me, but it is very true.
Speaker 9 (10:59):
She has made eighty two million dollars in the last
year and a half.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
I'm just so nervous. I'm paranoid because all of this
could disappear tomorrow.
Speaker 9 (11:07):
Okay, eighty two million dollars tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
David also did verify that number on her OnlyFans account,
and she said she was anxious having made so much.
I think she's only like twenty one years old, and honestly,
she's been posting like for the past two years, and
so you know, there you have it, like, apparently her
posting is doing really well. She looks young too, though,
and she said that she's still traditional and there's this
(11:34):
misconception that an OnlyFans model will be labeled as a
porn star, but she's still a virgin. So it's so
interesting how she's being praised. And then we look at
Sasha Vickery as a black woman and people are going
in on her and acting like she's disgusting. But anyway,
just thought I'll put that out there. That is your
under the radar now when we come back. We got
Your Way Up mixed at the top of the hour,
(11:55):
plus we got asked ye and y'all also know we
are doing world premieres all day today courtesy a DJ Khaled,
So we do have new music from him on the Way,
featuring Vibes, Cartel, Bouja, Bontae, Bounty, Kila, and Mavado. I
don't think all of them have ever been on a
song together. It's way up Way just like the tut like.
Speaker 4 (12:15):
They Angela Jean, like they Angela Jane. Man, she's spilling
it all.
Speaker 5 (12:20):
This is yea t way up.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
What's up his way up at Angela Yea?
Speaker 3 (12:26):
And it's time for your yea te all right, we
already know that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey are engaged.
Everywhere I went, that's all people were talking about. Like literally,
I'd be in a bathroom and a seventy five year
old woman would come in and be.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
Like, it's all Travison Taylor got engaged.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
Well, it's no surprise that they broke a record on
Instagram after they share the news of their engagement, Meta
revealed that the photos of him proposing to her surpassed
one million reposts. On Instagram more than any other post
has received on the social media website, according to data
obtained by Billboard. And not only that, but they got
the record in just six hours after that announcement was shared, so,
(13:03):
you know, just a huge deal. Already told you they
were in a Guinness Book of Row record for the
podcasts episode for New Heights that.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
Taylor Swift was on. Well, in addition to that, what
is their net worth going to be? Together?
Speaker 3 (13:16):
According to reports, they have a one point sixty seven
billion dollar empire and he got her a five hundred
and fifty thousand dollars diamond ring.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
So just imagine having that and every move that they're making.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
I mean there's already reports that they're looking at a
thirty million dollar house in Ohio.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
You know, just things like that. So it'll be interesting
to see how all of this plays out.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
But they actually compare their net worth to networth some
other people like the Beckhams, other celebrity power couples. Now,
the Beckhams are worth six hundred and seventy two million dollars.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Now you know who does surpass them?
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Though?
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Jay Z and Beyonce.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
According to reports, the two of them are sitting on
three point three eight billion dollars.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
So y'all got to catch up, guys.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
And Bill Belichick and Jordan Hudson are following a trademark
for a jewelry line.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
The jewelry line is called gold Digger. How funny is that?
Speaker 3 (14:11):
Let me tell you something. She is definitely coming up.
You know, they went public in June of twenty twenty four.
There's a lot of scrutiny because of their almost fifty
year age difference, but I guess they're cashing in on
that with actually putting out some products, So I guess
why not. And lastly, Ellen DeGeneres, let's talk about her.
Greg Fitzsimmons worked on her show for two years and
(14:33):
he was on the We Might Be Drunk podcast a
couple of days ago, and here's what he had to say.
This is actually a really funny story about her getting
mad at him and how as a writer on the show,
their whole relationship dynamic changed after this situation.
Speaker 9 (14:49):
They asked me to do the audience warm up, so
like the first day, I said, like, when I say banana,
you guys just do the way. And what I had
forgotten was that the word banana was in the monologue
and now she hasn't seen the warmup. Oh no, so
she says Banana. The crowd doesn't wave, and she stops
(15:10):
and said she's a control freak, So this is like
the worst thing that could ever happen. And then finally
I just go up on stage. I explained to her
what happened, and she was seething.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
You know, it's interesting that her show ran for nineteen
seasons from two thousand and three to twenty twenty two,
and when it ended with these allegations of a toxic
work environment, I feel like it kind of just took
away from her whole entire reputation of having done that
show for as long as she did. All right, well
that is your yee t And when we come back,
we have asked Yee eight hundred and two ninety two
(15:40):
fifty one fifty any question you have.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
We're here to help its way up.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
There are going everybody since with its relationship for career advice,
Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
You should know.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
This is ask gee what's up his way up at
Angela Yee? And it's time for ask Yee. That's where
you get to ask us anything you want. And today
we have another voicemaan from somebody who has a question here, it.
Speaker 7 (16:02):
Is why you got a question come from you know,
because so I got this homeboys, you know, I've been
freaking a message around later I help with him first
that he seems like he's cool with it. So you know,
we sent a couple of months and the baby mama
be telling me that they need to advise marriage.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
So basically, he asked for permission to date his friend's
baby mom. His friend said yes, but now his friend
doesn't mess with him anymore. I could have told you
that was going to happen, you know. I think you
feel like I asked for permission and someone gives it
and we're going to be all good, But feelings still happen.
And so I couldn't imagine if somebody that I was
cool with was like, hey, can I date your ex
(16:42):
who you have a kid with? I might say yes
because I feel like it's the right thing to do,
But I must still think your foul for wanting to
do that, even if I'm not having any feelings for
the person anymore. That's just strange, like why do you
want to do and then now you're going to be
around my kid but like as a father figure to me,
maybe if it feels like you had to make a
choice and your choice was you would rather date this
(17:03):
woman than still have your friend, And just because somebody said, yeah,
go ahead, it's cool, I feel like even you asking
that was gonna affect your relationship with that person anyway,
because it's going to make it seem like, you know,
certain things are off limits in a friendship. And I
don't know how close you guys were, but if this
is the choice that you made, I can't see this
person ever being cool with you, because if the shoe
(17:25):
was on the other foot, I don't think anybody would
like that. And so maybe time heals all wounds and
all of that. I don't know if you'll end up
with this person. Maybe that's your soulmate, because that does
happen too, but I don't know that it'll ever be
the same for you guys. So you know, we make
choices in life, and to me, if that person was
really really that close with you, you wouldn't have made
that particular choice. But maybe that's your soulmate, and so
(17:48):
you got to take the good with the bad, all right,
Well that is your.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Ask ye eight hundred and two nine two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
If you couldn't get through, like I said, you can't
leave a message because as you can see, we still
take your clause that way.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
And when we come.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
You know, I love talking about money, and I was
looking at this list of the richest people in the
USA and what it is that they're.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
Doing to make money.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
And I'm gonna tell you some businesses that could be boring,
but they have the lowest failure rates and the highest profits.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
According to Smart Money Moves, it's way up.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
This is way up with Angela Ye, let's go.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
You are a media maven, right, you never know what
and is gonna say what's up? Its way up with
Angela Ye. Dan, I definitely want you to chime in
on this one.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
My producer, all right, Smart Money Moves did a list
of the richest people in the USA and what is
it that they're doing? Eighteen quote boring businesses right number
one on the list laundromats.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
All right.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
The startup costs are two hundred to five hundred thousand,
but profit margins are twenty to thirty five percent and
it works because it's an essential service with steady demand.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
What do you think about that.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
I thought that was just the way people used to
clean their money.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
But you do have to admit everybody don't have a
washing machine. And I remember I used to have to
go to the launch mat all the time until I
got one.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Definitely have to be in a bigger city, yeah, I think.
Speaker 5 (19:04):
And a lot of things.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
I learned this from small business services. Location is the
number one reason why businesses work.
Speaker 2 (19:10):
Or don't work. All right, car washes we hear that
all the time.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
Profit margins sixteen to twenty five percent, and that's the
recurring customer base, opportunities for automation, and so that's a
consistent cash flow.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
Also another big money laundering business. But I mean they start,
they still are esscial.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
You know, shall be true.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Vending machines, you know I was going to get into that.
I had thought about that too for a hot second.
Speaker 3 (19:36):
The failure rate is negative fifteen percent in the first year,
low overhead scalable with minimal effort, and profit margins ten
to twenty percent.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
I feel like I would want higher profit margins.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
I'm ATM ownership only now I don't agree with that
as much because I feel like a lot of people
don't use cash anymore, and so I know this is
on the list, and it's saying there's high per transaction
rates and it's on only two thousand and three thousand per.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
Machine to get started. Storage. That's your facility, self storage facilities.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
I know, I spent a lot of money on a
damned storage facility for no reason. Profit margins thirty to
forty percent and they charge a lot.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
It's like rent again. Has to be in a big city,
though by some other things.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Just so you know, pest control services, long care and landscaping.
Pest control is expensive. To keep me out of that business, yeah,
I wouldn't want to do it. Long hair and landscaping,
mobile notary services, junk remover services, that's definitely expensive.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
I actually thought about that, like we.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
Need some junk removal, pressure washing services, oil change services,
and appliance repair services. Bounty house rentals, portable toilet rentals.
Don't put me in that either, and billboard becing. So
that's your list, all right, Well when we come back,
you guys, this is your show, so you have the
last word. Definitely chime in on that list and let
(20:53):
me know what you think or if they missed anything.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
Take up the phone.
Speaker 4 (20:57):
Tapping it gets your voice heard with the word here's
the last word on Way Up with Angela Ye. What's up?
Speaker 3 (21:04):
Its way up at Angela Ye. And it's a Friday.

Speaker 2 (21:07):

Speaker 3 (21:08):
I'm actually going to go to Black Rodeo in Arizona,
so I'm excited. It's my first time going to Black Rodeo.
I would love to hear what you guys are doing.
But whatever you're doing, please be safe. We know it's

Oh my goodness, I want to sign a light on
Angela Yee. I stopped at her little corporie shop, Corporate
uplift people. I don't even drink corsus, but I stopped
saying because I was hungry. I said, maybe that's for
pne and yes they did. I got me the ginger
Tameric tea.
Speaker 5 (21:54):
It's so good.
Speaker 6 (21:55):
And then I got that avocado toast. Oh my goodness,
I am so kathy my news lusty.
Speaker 5 (22:02):
I'm from Newcastle, PA, by Pittsburgh. I want to shine
a light on my man. We are having triplets and
he's been so supportive and just making sure I'm good
housewives mentally everything, just like looking out and holding everything together.
And I want to shine light on Angela Yee because
she'd be talking about some good stuff on here. She
(22:22):
talks about topics that everybody wants to hear, and she's
real about it, whether it's something you think or she
thinks to agree with or not agree with. I like
listening to her her shows
Speaker 4 (22:34):
Going way out, turning out with Angela Yee
