light on ninety six point one to be you know
what we're doing in Atlanta. We're doing major things out there,
history breaking records and specifically two Ferrari Simmons. Okay, he
does the afternoon drive out there. He dropped the book, yeah,
little Rory, and now he has his own day of
(02:40):
reading with Rory day October third in Atlanta. So I
think that's extremely dope.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
That's amazing. I remember we actually did that event together.
Oh yeah, and he has a book club. He does
all this and he loves the kids.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Yeah. So he goes around to different schools, different elementary
schools than he reads to the kids, and like sometimes
he may give out like some gifts here and there,
some tickets here and there. So yeah, like I think
that's extremely dope.
Speaker 7 (03:04):
That's really Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
Does that inspire you and make you want to be like,
I want inspire.
Speaker 7 (03:09):
You kids exactly. I like that.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Many kids out there, and be like, Daddy, do you
want to shine a light.
Speaker 8 (03:26):
On First, I want to stand alight on my daughter. Yeah,
I want her to let her know how proud we
are of her. She's doing a lot better than we
did when we were at her age. My mom or
never giving my family being supportive of me and my business.
And of course I want to give a shout out
to all of my customers for years.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Okay, what's your daughter's name? Okay? A man? That's all.
People want their kids to do better than them, right, yes, yes.
Speaker 8 (03:54):
Yes, especially in this where nowadays, where everything is completely different,
we gotta you know, we gotta stay by that, you know,
and you know a lot of people say, you know,
we can't be friends with your kids, but you can
also be friends and be a parent.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Yes you can't.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Is planning to challenge this defamation lawsuit dismissal, we'll give
you the details you thought it was over. Well, guess again,

Speaker 7 (05:04):
I'm about hold on, I'm lost.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
It's okay.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
No, it was a mistake, that's me.
Speaker 7 (05:11):
Oh god it yeah, all.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
Right, now let's get into this et. Pop Pierce was
arrested on DUI suspicion.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
They said he was.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
Asleep at the wheel on the one O one freeway
in La. Police were on site there was a multi
vehicle crash. Lanes were being reopened. That's when they spider
his range rover stopped in the traffic around ten thirty pm.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
Now he has since responded.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
He said, imagine being stuck in standstill traffic for forty
five minutes and falling asleep. I took this picture that
night because I've never been in stand still traffic for
this long. I'm old, I'm tired, and I fell asleep.
I'm good, y'all, thanks.
Speaker 4 (05:45):
For the love, and you're drawn. Well, we don't know
that yet.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
I so look, he did really post a picture of
the like stand still traffic, and then because they said
there was a multi vehicle crash, the highway was closed,
so that's why the police were even there to see him.
So he said he just fell asleep because he was
in traffic for so long.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
But he you say he got he didn't get arrested.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
Well, he was cited and released from custody.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
Officers, according to the police, in a statement, noted signs
of alcohol impairment and conducted a dui investigation. We don't
know what the result of that was. I'm always following asleep,
so yeah, that's true. But you being in the back seat,
I got Actually I should post some of these.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
Yeah, yeah, you got a whole I have.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
A whole half my pictures of telling are her sleeping
in the jack of the yah time I got here?
All right, Now, let's talk about this Drake lawsuit against
Universal Music Group. That lawsuit now has been dismissed. It
was filed earlier this year. He was he was accusing
the company of defamation and harassment and artificially boosting Kendricks
(06:49):
not like us distrack and he says they fueled a
false and malicious narrative about him. Now the judge is
saying that Kendrick's song lyrics are not defamatory because most
listeners are unlikely to perceive them as fact.
Speaker 7 (07:03):
What do you think that's what the judge said.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
Yeah, they own kindredside too, because she said this rat
battle was a war of words that was the subject
of substantial media scrutiny and online discourse. Although the accusation
that plaintiff is a pedophile is certainly a serious one,
the burder context of a heated rat battle with incendiary
language and offensive accusation hurled by both participants would not
(07:26):
incline the reasonable listener to believe that not like us
in parts of verifiable facts about the plaintiff. In other words,
it's a rap battle, y'all just be saying stuff.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Yeah, But if he's losing endorsements and stuff off of that,
then I feel like that that that could be a lawsuit.
I feel like.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Here's the danger is though, that he also said things
about Kendrick, Right, that's not true?
Speaker 6 (07:45):
Is it?
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Is it preventing him from getting endorsements?
Speaker 7 (07:50):
Is it preventing him from getting money?
Speaker 4 (07:52):
Well, Drake's side.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
A spokesperson for Drake put out a statement and saying
we intend to appeal today's ruling and we look forward
to the Court of Appeal was reviewing it. I mean regardless,
like you lost this overweight, I get it, But if
you was losing money, I kind of like, you know
what I'm saying, I need my money back.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
It's hard.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
I guess you would have to prove that too, like
show us the emails, show us, like you know how
your money went down, because you also made a lot
of money from a rap battle, like a lot of
streaming happened, but you know, well that is your Yet
when we come back, Oh man, it's time for us
to shine about last night. We were all at the
same event last night. We shall discuss don't sign like
(08:29):
the ladies way up?
Speaker 5 (08:31):

Speaker 3 (08:50):

release party today their album is out and it was
really amazing.
Speaker 7 (08:58):

Speaker 4 (09:02):

Speaker 7 (09:04):

you was on your way. You didn't do it. Well.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
We started off going to this restaurant called Native shout
out to Tiffany, Yeah, I'm the owner, because then she
ended up coming to the restaurant while we were there,
and then I made her come to the.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
Party with us.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
She was like, oh my god, I'm leaving for Jamaica
and I wasn't planning on doing all this, but she
looked cute.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
She was on my outfit. I was like, no, girl,
you look good.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
It's fying. It's a hip hop party. And she kept
giving us shots. We were uber ring, so we were
good to go. I was like, I'm glad I'm not
driving because.
Speaker 7 (09:33):
By the time I got yeah, y'ah all looked lit.
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
And we got there and somehow Tiffany got a bottle
at this party.
Speaker 4 (09:41):
She got us a bottle of tequila and we were
doing that.
Speaker 7 (09:45):
I drink the whole thing.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
We drank the whole bottle.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
Well, we had a drink before we drank at the restaurant,
and then we drank again when we got to the spot.
Speaker 7 (09:52):
Like that showed up drunks.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
Yeah, shot before.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
I'm not drunk, and I just wanted to shout out
to Navy. Who's here? What are you?
Speaker 3 (09:59):
Associate producer? Yes, he texted me and got me nervous.
The party started at nine. He hits me at like
nine ten, like, Yo, they're not letting people in. I
don't know what's going on.
Speaker 4 (10:08):
So I'm thinking it's crowded.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
I'm like, maybe we shouldn't go, y'all. So I called
my friend Kieren.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
You know Kieren. So I call my friend Kieren.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
I'm like, hey, what's going on. They're not letting people in.
She was like, what are you talking about? So she
makes a call. She's like it just started, like they
just and so shout out to you for being super early.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
And on time because we thought we weren't going. I
was like, wow, they shut it.
Speaker 7 (10:31):
He was at the party. I didn't see you.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
He left there for you because he got there on time.
So you know, when you get there all the time,
you leave.
Speaker 4 (10:39):
Yeah time.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Yeah, and Meto comes into the party with a whole crew.
But anyway, we had such a good time. I saw
my guy Ray Kwan, we saw NDS was there.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
Of course, because this is mass appeal and he's one
of the owners.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
We saw Buster Rhyme his schlips Flip is putting out
an album for this first time ever. Yeah, that's what
they were telling me. Oh pass from day lassaw Red Cafe.
I haven't seen him in a minute. It was a real,
like great night New York vibe. Yeah, it was real
New York kicking for you with Djying.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
I thought I was gonna start battle rapping. Sorry, wow,
this is crazy.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
You would have won.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
That's just one good one. But anyway, that's about last night.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
When we come back, depending on what y'all did last night,
tell us a secret eight hundred two ninety two fifty
one fifty. Literally this is a no judgment zone. Definitely
not today because everyone's in here talking about constipation and boobooing.
All right, eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty,
call us up, tell us a secret. That's eight hundred
two ninety two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 4 (11:40):

Speaker 8 (12:32):
Sure the hell did.
Speaker 7 (12:33):
That's what I did? On the boxes?
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (12:36):
No, No, I had a McDonald's bag, and you know,
I think I put it in the McDonald's bag and
then you know, threw that out just outside somewhere.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
What you want, but.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
You never know.
Speaker 4 (12:48):
Okay, you ain't wrong.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
He said his napkins. Yeah, somebody you got a.
Speaker 7 (12:53):
Dollar some little doodle nuggets? Did you do that?
Speaker 4 (13:00):
And then he threw it? That's good.
Speaker 7 (13:02):
I'm not mad at that.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
I'm not mad at that because those deliveries still got
there on time.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Yeah, that's all.
Speaker 4 (13:08):
Shout out to you a thank you for sharing hand
out of miss color. What's up? Hey? What's that you
want to tell all of us? A secret? No judgment.
Speaker 8 (13:19):
When I was younger, like in my twenties, I dated
a larger man.
Speaker 6 (13:22):
You had small man parts.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
He showed all his friends that he glew my back out,
but he never actually he had relations with the crease
of my legs.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
So he was he was chubby, so but he had
a small thing. So it just wasn't making it all
the way because it couldn't.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
It didn't even go.
Speaker 8 (13:44):
It just was in between the crease of my leg
and my.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
Well, why would he even say he blew your back
out like you must was acting like you was getting penetrated.
You had to have Why would you do that?
Speaker 10 (13:54):
Bless him?
Speaker 1 (13:54):
Believe it because he seemed like he was having a
good time. He would have had a good hurt with
the Christy for you. He would have a good time.
On his way home that night, he said, you're still
a virgin.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
By she's still leg.
Speaker 11 (14:10):
Send them home when they're really really large and they're
on top of you.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
Yeah, by the way, you are so nice for that.
We balled on it.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
I've never done that, She went exactly, I've never done that.
Why would I make a man feel.
Speaker 7 (14:24):
Like he was? Yeah, he like he.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
Probably was so excited that he finally blew someone's back
up right for the first time.
Speaker 4 (14:32):
It took me.
Speaker 10 (14:33):
I was really happy, and I didn't want to like
tell him that I wasn't happy.
Speaker 7 (14:38):
She was really kind.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
But shout out today.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
We all done the girl in some form.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
Thank you for calling.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
I have a good day, hilarious.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
Hand out him his color.
Speaker 8 (14:51):
Hey, how are you good?
Speaker 4 (14:53):
How are you? It's a no judgments. We're all listening
for your secrets.
Speaker 10 (14:56):
But yesterday I was supposed to meet my boyfriend for dinner,
but we were going to go shopping first, but he
couldn't make the shopping part, so he said he'll send
me money and then meet up with me later. So
he sent me the money. But once he sent me
the money, I just could not spend it. Like it
was just I don't like to spend my money. So
I just saved the money and I told him I
(15:16):
had everything shipped to the house when I met him.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
Good for you, Yeah, yeah, tell me a lot of time.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
Money is for you to do what you want with it.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (15:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (15:24):
Once it hit my bank account is like it's mine.
Speaker 8 (15:26):
I'll wait for you next time to come with me shopping.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
It's different when somebody gives you money and this your account.
It's like, let me save this, as opposed to when
they actually buy the thing for you.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
I'm with you on an athlete my staff. I know
what I'll ship to.
Speaker 4 (15:40):
The house, all right, thank you?
Speaker 3 (15:43):
That was tell us a secret eight hundred and two
ninety two fifty one to fifty. If you couldn't get
through a leave a message and tell us a secret
that way, and when we come back, we got your
et and Carti b Is saying she'll be nice to
be a you know it's album released day for Bia,
but tell you why she wants to be nice right
now and what she's about to do.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
It's way up Yn't she about to blow the lid
ab off this spot? Let's get it?
Speaker 5 (16:05):
Oh yeah, Angela's building at yet, come and get the.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Tea all right?
Speaker 4 (16:09):
Its way up at Angela. Yeah, I'm here alongside Tella eighth.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
That's why.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
Jojo Alonzo the Baddest Boody run again.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
And Maya, let's get into some Friday Ye t man,
this is really still unfolding, but let's talk about what's
going on with Mark Sanchez. They have a new video
showing the whole timeline of things that happened before he
attacked the driver who was delivering the oil doing the
oil deliveries, the frying oil deliveries. And he's still in
(16:42):
the hospital by the way, Sanchez with his injuries, but
he's been charged with felony battery as well as three misdemeanors.
He's facing up to six years in prison.
Speaker 4 (16:50):
And when you look it's on TMZ, you can see him.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
You know where Sanchez is out there, He's like leaning
against the wall for a couple of minutes. He spent
twenty minutes roaming around downtown Indianapolis before the violent encounter
with his alleged victim, and you can see a lot
of that play out. And you can see even after
he gets stabbed, he's like running still and then he
starts walking when he gets on the street.
Speaker 10 (17:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Well, first of all, the victim was sixty nine years old,
and he's why are you fighting a sixty nine year old?
Speaker 3 (17:21):
Why are you even pulling this man out his truck.
It was harassing him.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
What were you doing? What were you even doing back
there wherever he was at.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
So it's going to be interesting to see how all
of this plays out, Like what was he on, because
he definitely was he was on one allegedly. Now, doctor
Wendy Josepho and her husband Eddie had been booked on
criminal fraud charges. According to reports, they're facing sixteen charges,
including seven felonies for allegedly making false, misleading info, fraud
(17:50):
in excess of three hundred dollars, also one misdemeanor account
of making a false statement to an officer. Now, according
to reports, they reported a burglary in a last year
and they said they found their bedroom ransacked after getting
back from Jamaica, and according to the prosecution's bill recommendation,
they said that designer bags Julie had been stolen, but
(18:11):
she was later caught in a social media post wearing
a diamond ring that she claimed was stolen.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
Wow, well was the picture you know recent?
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Because you know sometimes you know, we like to take
pictures and then post later.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
Well, the other thing in this investigation, a lot of
the items that they said were stolen, had been purchased
and then returned to the store where a full refun
was provided.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
Prior to the alleged burglary.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
She she tweaked, she like come on allegedly.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
So according to documents, they claimed the four hundred and
fifty thousand dollars personal property loss to an insurance company.
We have not heard their side of the story yet.
I do want to say that, yeah, right now, it
ain't looking too good. I want to say this though,
I know a lot of people when things happen, like, man, recently,
your suitcase got.
Speaker 7 (18:56):
Stolen, yes, in Las Vegas.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
Yeah, and then you have to do like a report
to you know, see what was gone.
Speaker 4 (19:03):
You're still dealing with that.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
And I'm sure a lot of times though people probably
do like trump up what was in there?
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Yep, Okay, yeah, that's true. But she kind of already
did some kind of shisty stuff. She did went to
return something and did all that.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
The problem is that, yeah, when it's those are the
things that you reported that were stolen. And then because
the insurance companies don't play by the way, they gonna
check your social media, They're gonna look at receis they
don't want to pay you that money. Yeah, so if
they cannot do it, they won't. They will definitely investigate.
All right, Well, that is your geete, And when we
come back, we have under the radar. These are the
(19:38):
stories that are not necessarily in the headlines. They're flying
under the radar, but you need to know about them anyway.
Imagine being so mad about Bad Bunny performing at the
super Bowl.
Speaker 7 (19:48):
I hope you don't say one word in English.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
Imagine being so mad that you do your own Super
Bowl show to compete with that. But'll tell you what now,
Harry famous organization is doing that.
Speaker 4 (19:59):
It's way up position.
Speaker 5 (20:00):
The news that relates to you. These stories are flying
under the radar.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
I know that's right. That's the way you put Angela
Ye under the radar. Time with Cella.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
And Jojo the Baddest Body que again.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
All right, So first, Bad Bunny, as we all know,
some people are freaking out over this is performing at
the official halftime show for the Super Bowl on February eighth.
And when I say freaking out, some people are excited
and some people are furious crazy, which I love for them.
So turning point, that was Charlie Kirk's organization that is
(20:36):
now being run by his wife. His widow is throwing
its own super Bowl halftime show. Now, nice to go
against that.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
Who do you think they're going to have superform some people?
Speaker 4 (20:49):
We don't know.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
Yeah, I'm sure.
Speaker 4 (20:51):
So they're calling it the All American Halftime Show.
Speaker 7 (20:54):
Where's that showing?
Speaker 4 (20:55):
I bet like kid rock or something. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:59):
So there were no other details provided outside of the dates,
but they're asking people what music genre would they like featured? Uh,
they're offering to celebrate faith, family, and freedom, and they
said performers and event details coming soon.
Speaker 6 (21:16):
That's nice that I like that they're taking that approach
because the fact that Bad Bunny is going to go
up there and that's speak one.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Let me tell you they did like a little check
off the list, like what music genres would you like
to see features? Select all that apply. The first thing
that says anything in English is.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
Anything in English disrespectful? It is like what?
Speaker 3 (21:40):
But it's also really funny to me, because sorry, what
are you going to not watch the super Let me.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
Ask this question? What nationality is Bad Bunny's Puerto Rican?
Speaker 4 (21:51):
Like you?
Speaker 1 (21:52):
Okay, thank you so much? Like what I feel like
you gotta do something.
Speaker 7 (21:59):
But that just shows you with people, you know, now
you may.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
Do something he don't. He don't want like he should.
Speaker 4 (22:08):
Or in the United States.
Speaker 7 (22:11):
I know songs. His songs are in Spanish.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
State and that's what you got booked for who you are.
Speaker 7 (22:17):
I get it, But I'm just I think he should
be extra Spanish that day.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
About all the extra you know.
Speaker 9 (22:23):
I mean, I'm not about everybody. I'm just saying, you know,
just mixing up. I feel like I feel like he
gonna bring somebody out and they're want to be English.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
And it's gonna be another Spanish streak.
Speaker 7 (22:38):
He got songs with Drake, he got so now that'll
be wild. That was remember had the song of kadi Uh, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (22:46):
That'll be wow if pep ain't got Cardika with it.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
Because there're songs that I don't know what they're saying
in the songs, but I live anyway, Yes, and even
like from Daddy Yankee, Donna Maar like people like that,
I don't know what is being said in the songs,
but I love them and because and it actually helped
me learn Spanish as a matter of fact, fun story,
one of the songs that I first learned was uh
(23:09):
the song by Los Lobos.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
It wasn't what was that name of that?
Speaker 3 (23:14):
No somethingbo Okay, I'm messing it up. But anyway, I
learned that song when I was young in school, and
I think that's good, like people learn other languages from songs.
Speaker 4 (23:25):
When you like a song. Yeah, I mean speaking of
guess on you.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
We got the Way Up mix at the top of
the hour dance having a heart attack because he's like,
hurry up ingrant Bets is celebrating two years of I
Best Wines and we're gonna celebrate with her on Way
Up with Angela, Yee, it's way up.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
She's like to talk like they Angela, like they Angela.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
Man, she's spilling it all. This is yet way up.
Speaker 4 (23:53):
Yeah, it's way up with Angela. Yee.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
I'm here, Cella's here, that's drink.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
A Mano's here and Jojo Alanizo that.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Is body Guana gang.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
Let's get into the eet all right.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
So first let's talk about our girl Candace from Real
Housewives of Potomac and she's now got a new podcast
with my guy Michael Arsenal.
Speaker 4 (24:14):
So shout out to them for that. I'm excited.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
But one thing that she has weighed in on is
doctor Wendy Oseepho and her husband Eddie. They've been booked
on criminal fraud charges. According to TMZ. We described this
earlier and Baill we found out from the Jasmine brand
exclusively has been said at fifty thousand dollars. They will
be released today once they post that bill. And so
Candice was on Fox five DC and had this to
(24:41):
say about Wendy being perhaps targeted.
Speaker 12 (24:44):
Three hundred dollars and we're we're arresting a mother and
a father. We don't know what the charges are for,
but we know that Neil Cepho's have a very successful
marijuana business. They are providing jobs and opportunities for people
color in the area in the DMV. And so my
first thought is are they being targeted?
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Yeah, and we talked about this earlier. I mean this
all has to do with like you know, they actually
had found out their bedroom was ransacked while they were
on vacation, reported some items missing that now it's being
reported I guess by the insurance company that they had
returned those items and gotten refunded.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
Yes, crazy targeted though, I mean some of the stuff
that they did was well we don't know that they
did it, but they're being accused of. Some of the
stuff that they're being accused of is kind of like right,
So I think, right now we have to wait and
see if they actually did those things or there's some
type of other explanation.
Speaker 7 (25:43):
Well, who returned to items?
Speaker 1 (25:45):
So that's the only things like that, right, Why did
they get.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
To return Well, so it was supposedly items that were
returned before the house got ransacked. So they're saying, we
can see that you return these Who knows what if
they returned something and then bought it, you know what
I mean, I don't know what the actual items are,
so I think it's really hard to say.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
Yeah, these are all allegations at.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
This point, right all right now, Fat Joe was recently
making some claims as he does on Joe and Jada,
and he said that he almost had a run in
with Bruno Mars of all people.
Speaker 4 (26:15):
Can you imagine? All right, here's what he said happened.
Speaker 9 (26:19):
I've been hearing the Bruno Mars Puerto Rican, but I
never got to meet them.
Speaker 7 (26:23):
So the whole time, I'm excited.
Speaker 9 (26:24):
I'm gonna keep it all the way, Honey, I'm sitting
right next to somebody in the woods and I say, Bruno, ma,
I'm gonna talk to somebody said, yo, he's a.
Speaker 7 (26:32):
I said, what yo, Bruno, what's up?
Speaker 2 (26:34):
Man?
Speaker 8 (26:35):
Yo?
Speaker 2 (26:35):
You Puerto Rican?
Speaker 1 (26:36):
He got up, You mean him, I'm.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
A real Puerto Rican. I asked you your.
Speaker 7 (26:41):
Life and went and sat on the other side of.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
The Bruno Mars got buck like that, Hey, hey.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
Listen, I will say this. I wouldn't even know that
you would believe it. I like, we stick together and
when we see another one. We were super excited for
him for that to be his reaction.
Speaker 6 (27:01):
It's kind of like yeah, because it probably came from
a place of people questioning him that, questioning him on that,
and he probably was like he's tired of hearing.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
But there was always conversations about what ethnicity is.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
Is there something?
Speaker 9 (27:16):
Maybe it's a delivery how he said it, you never
who knows?
Speaker 1 (27:19):
Oh that is a thing too, like perto Rican.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
He probably thought, what I am all right?
Speaker 3 (27:27):
And lastly, Curtie B says she's being nice to be
because this is be his album week. And here's what
he had to say is the reason why.
Speaker 13 (27:35):
Instagram video to pretty and pretty as but I know
how stressful it is to put an album out, so
I feel like if I do a video, I feel
like I'll be bullying, and I don't want to feel
like a bully because when I bully, thank God takes
from me.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
All Right, We're gonna talk about his new album when
we come back, because it is a new music Friday.
Speaker 5 (27:56):
It's way up with it relationship for career advice, Angela's
dropping fast, so.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
You should know.
Speaker 4 (28:02):
What's up.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
Its way up at the Angela ye, and it's not
for ask ye. We got Sheella Mano and Jojo Alonzo
here and day Kwan on the line. What's up day
quin Lee.
Speaker 8 (28:13):
So being in a relationship for three and a half years,
unless a your partners would know that you were smoking weed,
you finally fell them after being on the phone. Y'all
had a conversation that walk the thoat all the way
because that's not what she believes. She considers it as
a drug buy it. But I'm like, there are daily
people in the world that most weed and go to
work on a daily basis. So I'm just trying to
(28:35):
figure out what I just let it be.
Speaker 9 (28:37):
Yeah, if I you somebody else, she ain't the one
she wants to break up anyway, because then when people
when we really love guys and we inser them, we're
not just leaving just off.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
The first thing, well, this may not be the first thing.
We an'll know that, and then secondly.
Speaker 8 (28:52):
Like that's the one thing, oh.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
Yeah, honestly, is the issue is what it feels like
about to say because but you've been doing this for
a three years you.
Speaker 8 (29:00):
Said yeah, and I didn't tell her in the beginning.
But that's the only thing that I've always held from her,
Like that's literally.
Speaker 7 (29:05):
The only thing.
Speaker 4 (29:06):
But that's so why didn't you tell.
Speaker 8 (29:09):
Me the other night?
Speaker 4 (29:10):
Is she your girl or your parole?
Speaker 7 (29:16):
You smoke?
Speaker 8 (29:18):
No, I don't even I don't even drink.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
I don't think it's nothing wrong with smoking and do
your thing. But I think the issue is is that
you've been smoking, hiding and smoking for three years, then
you didn't even tell her this time you got caught.
What else are you lying about?
Speaker 4 (29:35):
Does she drink or anything?
Speaker 1 (29:37):
No?
Speaker 4 (29:37):
And do you think it could be with her and
not smoke anymore?
Speaker 2 (29:41):
Like?
Speaker 4 (29:41):
Would you? Is that what you would want to do?
Speaker 8 (29:45):
Lying smoking for nobody?
Speaker 3 (29:47):
I think that if she can't somewhat compromise with you
on this, and you're not willing to stop smoking, then
there's really no other alternative. The main thing is in
any relationship, if you can't be who you really are
that and you can't be open and honest, that's not
the person for you.
Speaker 8 (30:03):
Yea who because I have somebody who is accepting of it,
you know, her whole other my other girl.
Speaker 1 (30:11):
Yeah girl, let's just hang up the car.
Speaker 8 (30:14):
I gotta pay more accepting of it, you know, the
whole family smoked goose like you got the making. Somebody
over here who's like.
Speaker 11 (30:27):
Yes, if you ain't, you should, well you are sneaking
around doing other things besides smoking exactly.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
No, it's not like, okay, you know, dropping the clean
like you've made your decision. You just wanted us to
help justify it.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
The less milk.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
Yes, all right, well you go be with each other.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
We had girlfriend and family and have fun.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
Enjoy yourself. Tae kwan? Why long one up for us?
Speaker 1 (30:59):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Well, you know what, I'm gonna give his now ex
girlfriend some I Best wines because my girl ingrid Best
is celebrating two years of I Best Wines and as
an entrepreneur, and somebody who developed a product from scratch.
Speaker 4 (31:11):
We're gonna talk to her when we come back.
Speaker 6 (31:13):
It's way up and no bed we about to do
this one of the most famous women in radio vidio.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
We're talking about Angela Ye. You're way up with Angela Ye.
Speaker 4 (31:22):
Please believe that it's way up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 3 (31:26):
And today I am so excited because this woman is
literally like one of my best friends in the world,
but she's also an entrepreneur also somebody that I've been
like championing since even before you started your own business.
Right ingrid Best is here with me aka miss i
Best Wines is in the building.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
I'm in the building, and so is the wine.
Speaker 4 (31:47):
And so is the wine.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
And today we are celebrating two years October tenth, It's
been two years since you.
Speaker 4 (31:53):
Launched this brand. Two years. How does that feel?
Speaker 14 (31:56):
It feels like we've done so much, but it really
has only been two years, and then there are so
much more.
Speaker 7 (32:00):
We're gonna do.
Speaker 3 (32:01):
The accolades that you've managed to achieve in two short years,
because we have to also understand two years is not
a long time, right. You got the gold medal for
the New York International Wine competition, Yes, for the white blend,
the silver medal for the Red Blend. You've got the
USA Wine Ratings Gold medal for the Red Blend and
the silver medal for the White Blend. You have all
(32:21):
kinds of like International Wine Challenge Awards, so many different
things that you've achieved.
Speaker 4 (32:27):
But do you feel like you made it yet?
Speaker 7 (32:30):
No?
Speaker 4 (32:31):
Far from made it.
Speaker 14 (32:32):
I tell people all the time, I'm a twenty year
overnight success, but I'm just getting started. I'm happy with
the early success. I'm grateful for the support. Obviously, we
have a great product. It is an award winning product.
But I think most founders would totally understand when I say,
there's just so much more to do. And the truth is,
(32:54):
hitting the milestone of turning two years old, we've already
been able to do with the data shows black and
brown women typically aren't able to do. The data shows
between twelve a month and eighteen months, black women founded
businesses fold. And the truth is, there isn't a day
that I'm not sitting there with Chanel, who leads our
(33:17):
finance and our business modeling, and saying how are we
going to do this? Every single day we're trying to
navigate the challenge of getting past what the data says.
We're not going to be able to get pasted right
and it's not easy.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
Yes, Happy birthday to ibest Winds.
Speaker 3 (33:34):
My girl, Ingrid Best, the founder of ibst Winds, is
here with us celebrating with all of these.
Speaker 4 (33:38):
Accolades and places that you've shown up.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
What has been some of the obstacles that you say
that you need to overcome raising capital?
Speaker 14 (33:47):
And it's not isolated to me, that's the average black
and brown woman's story when it comes to raising capital.
I think the difference is that I refuse to stop
and I'm relentless when it comes to my resources, lentless
when it comes.
Speaker 4 (34:01):
To my network.
Speaker 14 (34:02):
I've really mastered how to ask, you know, and that's
where not letting your ego get in the way and
understanding that, like, if you want to win, you have
to do all the things that it takes to win.
Speaker 3 (34:14):
All Right, we're talking about entrepreneurship and I Best Winds.
It is a two year anniversary for Ingrid Best, brand
that's won all kinds of awards, is sourced out of
Johannesburg's South Africa. We got more with her when we
come back, it's Way Up Yee's but you all.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
Been waiting for Oh you're tapped in the way Up
with Angela Yee?
Speaker 4 (34:35):
What's up as Way Up with Angela Yee?
Speaker 3 (34:37):
And happy anniversary two years of I Best Wins.
Speaker 4 (34:40):
I watched my good friend.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
Ingrid Best conceive of this idea and then actually implement it.
And now it's on your shelves for two years, it's
on your airplane flights, it's in art galleries. I mean,
it's been amazing and it's very key what you said
about your building this to sell, yes, because sometimes people
don't want to admit that. I've always heard you should
be building your business like you want to sell it,
(35:03):
because that's how you do have.
Speaker 4 (35:04):
To structure your business. Everything has to be in order.
Speaker 3 (35:08):
So discuss that with me because people, I think people
need to understand why one would build a business that's
their baby and you love this business so much, but
with the intent to sell.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
Yeah, you know, Listen.
Speaker 14 (35:21):
Over my twenty year career, I had an opportunity to
really see things at a high level. When you work
for organizations like Diagio and ALFAAMH and Paccardi, when you
run joint ventures, your exposure to business is.
Speaker 7 (35:33):
Just really heightened.
Speaker 14 (35:34):
And so I think for me understanding that one of
the beautiful things about creating something is that you should
be wanting to create things all the time.
Speaker 7 (35:46):
I know I am.
Speaker 14 (35:46):
I'm always thinking about what I want to create next,
and so here I am with ibst wines, but there's
a lot of other things that I want to contribute
to this industry. And in order to do that, you
do have to unlock a level of wealth. The only
way that we're going to close the wealth gap for
us in this country is if we are building billion
dollar companies. And so for me, in my mind, I've
(36:08):
known from the start what the endgame is, and the
endgame is acquisition. And I think a lot of entrepreneurs
are only thinking about the start and then the middle.
They forget about the end, right And if you have
a strong ending, if you know that you know this
is going to be a blockbuster, then what you're doing
at the start in the middle is different. I also
(36:29):
think that no one is going to be able to
build a brand with the things that are important to
me like me.
Speaker 4 (36:37):
Well, listen, my last final thought is get you an
ingrid best in your life. If you don't have one.
You got it our girl.
Speaker 3 (36:43):
Congratulations two years old, ten years old job. But thank you,
and I cannot wait till we're celebrating when you actually
the business gets acquired. We're going to be right up
there and we're going to spill some wine.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
We don't pource them out for the homies.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
Thank you so much to Ingrid Best. You can watch
that phone and if you about I Best Wines and
the whole journey on my YouTube channel. Way up with
you and when we come back, you guys have the
last word.
Speaker 2 (37:07):

Speaker 10 (38:13):
I just want to give a shout out to my
little brother DJ today since seventeenth birthday.
Speaker 1 (38:19):

Speaker 4 (38:23):
It's time.
Speaker 5 (38:25):
I'm about the Tiber you champed in and way up
with Angela Ye what I'm wanting now now
