Speaker 1 (00:01):
You are not.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
What hey, can you hear me? It's this thing on
what's up? His way up at the Angela. Yee, it
is a Wednesday. We back at it, baby. Carlos King
is gonna be guest hosting today. I know he's on
his way up. He's got a lot going on. You know,

(00:25):
he's got his show, and then he's also got Love
and Marriage Huntsville the reunion coming up. Also, Bell Collective
is coming back. I see Saucy Santana just recently got interviewed.
I already know that's gonna be entertaining. But he's been
breaking a lot of stories. So we're gonna talk to
him today about what he's got going on. I also
gonna ask him I think I saw him walking down
the street in Brooklyn one day, so I gotta verify

(00:48):
whether or.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Not that's true.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
But again, let's start the show up with some love
and positivity how we always do on a It is
a wealth Wednesday. It is all right, Well, let's get
it started, love and positivity. Let's China light eight hundred
two nine to two fifty one fifty Call us up,
let us know who you would like to shine a
light on. We're gonna shine a light on the first
black mayor of this small town. But it was a

(01:12):
long road for him to get to where he is today.
Will discuss its way up.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
I'm shine a shine.

Speaker 5 (01:18):
Turn your lights on, y'all, lights on it, spreading love
to those who are doing greatness.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Shine a light on them, Shine a light on them.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
It's time to shine a light on them.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
It's way up with angela ye, and it's time to
shine a light. And in the spirit, are getting ready
for elections everywhere. Let's talk about Patrick Braxton. Now he
won as Newburn's first black mayor, wears Newburn. It's a
small town in Alabama. As a matter of fact, this
town only has two hundred people. He won this election
with a vote count of sixty six to twenty six.

(01:50):
And I'm gonna tell y'all, usually the mayor council government
has not been put to a vote for the past
sixty years. Town officials had hand me down positions. The
mayor would appoint a successor who appointed the council members.
And there was a lawsuit for this that Braxton filed
along with other people. Now, in this small town, black
residents out number white residents two to one, but they've

(02:11):
always had an overwhelmingly white government because of this hand
me down politics. Well, Braxton was a volunteer firefighter. He
qualified in twenty twenty to run for that position of mayor.
He was the only candidate. He became mayor elect without
an election, but then they changed the locks at town
hall and he was denied access to the town's financial accounts. Now,
his lawsuit also alleges that outgoing council members had a

(02:33):
secret meeting to set up a special election and fraudulently
reappoint themselves as the town council even though he appointed
his own. So now this was the first election for
the town. They've never had one before, and he is
now the mayor. He be sworn in on November third,
So shout out to him for making that happen. Patrick Braxton. Now, Tias,
who do you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 6 (02:52):
So my grand n car she did playing sixty hours
and taking trail of THEWN. So I really love her
and I appreciate her.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
To my boy DP keeping going crazy, whom you putting
in one hundred dollars weeks from LA to New York.
It is break for with you. So I want to
sign the light on them. I'm ready I go follow
him on. I P A U M P twenty four.

Speaker 7 (03:16):
All right.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Also make sure you spell your girl's name too, so
we know who you shining the light on when it
comes to her.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
For sure, her name is c A r A.

Speaker 7 (03:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
How long you've been together?

Speaker 1 (03:26):
We've been together? Eight years?

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Ooh, okay, eight years. Do y'all live together?

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Yep?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
All right, Well shine a light on Cora and DP.
Thank you for calling, so you have a blessing now
you too. That was shining light eight hundred and two
ninety two fifty one fifty. Just in case you couldn't
get through, you could always leave a message and shine
a light that way.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
And when we come.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Back, it's time for your ET and young thug. He
has posted somewhat of a response to all the drama
from these leaked phone calls from jail, and let's see
how much he actually cares or doesn't care.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
It's way up this case in the rooms.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
From Industry Shade to all of gos apout. Angela's feeling that.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
All right, he's here, Carlos King is here. He's way
up with Angela. Yee, ready to do some ET with me.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Yes, and I'm so happy to be back.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
I'm happy to see you.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
I feel like you'll be here a lot. So now
let's talk about Young Thug and these leak calls. I
know you've been hearing them, yes, and so one of
the things that he posted because we've been waiting to
hear what he's gonna say. And we also saw that
he from QC changed his meme to like a picture
of a rat mixed with Young Thug.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
So I don't know.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
What's gonna happen. Atlanta is a wild place right now.
But he posted this. Denzel Washington says who cares when
asked if he's ever worried about being canceled or losing
public support. It's a screenshot of an article about Denzel
and that's I guess he's trying to say he doesn't
care if he's canceled or the public doesn't support him.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
Well, look, I think it's the fact that he is
not in prison. He got able to be out. But
my biggest question is who recorded the conversation.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Record au jail conversations. That's what everybody knows.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
That's why it's interesting to me because we all I
don't know that they always get out like this and
they're available for the public. But it's a known fact.
If you're talking to somebody in jail, it says it.
It's like, don't ask me how I know, but it
says being recorded as soon as you answered, so you
know it's being recorded. But just as a refresher, you know,
some of the conversations he had was here's a conversation

(05:30):
with twenty one Savage where he's talking about potentially ruining
the rollout that Gunna was having for his album by
putting out his project.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Bro, I'm trying to drop an album the same they
gonna drop.

Speaker 7 (05:40):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
He y'all piture a phone, put a person on it.
When he pulled it up. He dropped Friday Anything. Ain't
gonna know what he found me. I'm gonna drop my
ABM on the same that he dropped and it's called
business is Business.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Yeah, So this is a lot of things, and that's
light in comparison to a lot of the other things
that were set on these recorded conversations.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
But you know, there's so much drama now from this.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
I mean, we could spend like the whole day talking
about all the different things that he has spoken on
and all the different responses. I mean, Rollo was on
there responding and just a lot of fuel to the
fire right now.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
So well it goes to show you, I think is
so interesting. Man do gossip and that's a fact, and
we were now able to really have proof of that
to be a fact.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
All right.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Now, speaking of men, let's talk about Jeremiah. According to
the Jasmine brand, he's gonna be joining Love and Hip
Hop Miami. This is so interesting to me because I
always look at Jeremiah as being really private. Now he
did come on lip Service at one point, which also
surprised me because I was like, Jeremiah is gonna come
on lip service because he don't be giving up his

(06:47):
tea like that, right, and he'd be having things going on.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
But you know, it's not public information.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
But one thing I did ask him about, if you recall,
he did make an appearance with Carly Red on Love
and hip Hop previously and Hip Hop Atlanta, and I
told him during the interview, I was so surprised to
see him on there with Karli read here's what he said.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
Mind, Joe, ain't know she was with you on Jockey either.
I don't even watch TV like that. But I ended
up going on there and I ain't know what he's from.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
The popping.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
I didn't even get cared either.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
You didn't know they set you up.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
I'm okay, so I'm here for it.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
I like Jeremiah.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
I like Jeremiah til I love his music and listen.
As a reality TV producer, I will say this gone
are the days of it looking like, oh, a celebrity
of Jeremiah's stature cannot join reality television. I think a
lot of musicians and artists and celebrities understand the power
of reality TV if done right. You look at the

(07:43):
success of Cardi b. You look at the success of
Josh len Hernandez. Reality TV no longer is seeing us
like something negative. And I think what Jeremiah's doing is great.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Now.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Look, I would have preferred if he joined Black in
Cruse Chicago, where his baby mama allegedly was a Bryan.
The whole drama there, it wasn't alleged, was you know?

Speaker 3 (08:02):
You know, all right, well that is your ut.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
When we come back, we have about last night where
we discussed what we did last night. You know, I
want to hear you here and I tell you what
I did. I had a good day yesterday. I was
outside this way up.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
So about last night, Yes, I went down.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
All right way up with Angela. You and it's time
for about last night. And my guy Carlos King is
here with me.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
Hey, y'all, what did you do last night?

Speaker 4 (08:28):
Well, I'm not gonna tell you the other part, but
what I also did last night, I'd be glad to
see it. I am New York, honey. Thank you know
the big apphole pun intended, but no, so what I
did last night, No, I'm sorry. Okay, go ahead, Okay.
Saucy Santana interview that I did on my YouTube channel
is out, so.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Watched the whole thing. I love sausage good.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
He talked about just getting off a house arrest for
having a dui. No one knew about it, which is
why he was on TikTok for like that months NonStop.
He also spoke about Kresha and Diddy and their relationship
and the things he saw. He said that they had
a real relationship and that Diddy gave Kresha the princess

(09:13):
treatment and that even Jane Doe on the witness stand
said that Young Miami did not get treated like the
rest of them did, okay.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
And he felt somebody that was trying to act like
she was part of this and that she saw a
different side of him.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
Yes, and the fact that he feels like the public.
Ohs Karesha an apology.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
Okay, I'm right now, that's a friend. Sussy.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Well, yesterday when I left here, I actually went to
Times Square and there was an event that Three Keys
Management did.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
So it was like a.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
They built this outdoor basketball court in Times Square, which
has never been done before. They've never had a basketball
court in Times Square, and it was quite an undertaking
because they also had to like level out the ground
so it was something underneath it. Then they had to
lay down the court and so they had all these
different kids playing basketball New Heights Scouchow's, like all the
different teams from all over New York City. And there

(10:08):
were different age groups, so it was like the fourteen
and under, like eleven year old. But it was so
nice to see the kids outside doing something productive. And
this is the Time Square Alliance that does this, so
it's like they have this whole thing where they try
to do things in the community at Times Square, so
we all know this is for us and it's also
a safe place because sometimes people look at Times Square
and it's like intimidating.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
It's this is that, but it's very community.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
So Jasmine's Caribbean sponsors it, Brooklyn Chop House sponsored it.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Once upon a Coconut.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
And so I went out there, but my guy Donell
Rawlings came with me, comedian Ashy Larry Yes.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
And at the end of the game, they did these.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
One on one shootout competitions and Greg, who is part
of Three Keys Management, challenged Donell and Donelle beat him.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
Oh he beat him.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
And when I tell you that should have never happened,
because we will never hear the end of this.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
Shout out to my guy Donell.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
He had his aunts to sneakers on desk Kyrie Irving
sneaker brand and yeah, so it was amazing.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
It was really nice to be outside.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
It was beautiful weather, and so shout out to Three
Keys Management for putting that together.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
Did you play?

Speaker 3 (11:09):
No?

Speaker 2 (11:10):
I wanted to, but I didn't get a chance because
I let Donelle go instead.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
I'll be your chierleader next time.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Yeah, next time, I'm gonna show you some low footage
of me playing basketball in a second.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
Okay, but when we come back, tell.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Us a secret. Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
Any secret that you have. I'm here to help you
out and and not judge you. Neither with Carlos because
he here's a lot of secrets.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
Guys, I know a lot of secrets, and I don't
feel I really am He's the vault, all right.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Maybe there's something that's Reality TV worthy that you want
to tell us secretly. You're anonymous. It's a no judgment zone.
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
It's way up, yo, this is a judgment free zone.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
Tell us a secret.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
It's a no judgment zone.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
I'm here with Carlos King, and you know we don't
judge anybody, right, I don't.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
No.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
I have a podcast, Reality for the King. I don't
judge anybody. You've been on it. We have real conversations.
I don't judge.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Okay, all right, well listen, you guys are gonna call
us up anonymously in there's no judgment zone and tell
us your secret.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
What's up? Anonymous?

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Call it?

Speaker 3 (12:13):
What's your secret?

Speaker 7 (12:15):
My secret is my district manager has a crush on
me and I accidentally on.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Oh so what happened after you sent the picture?

Speaker 1 (12:24):
I just got putting you overtime?

Speaker 4 (12:28):
That's an HR issue. Baby.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
You do you also like your district manager? Or are you
just trying to get to the cash.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
We're trying to get to the cab?

Speaker 4 (12:36):
All right, Well that's called something else. That's the legal
in forty nine states.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
But again, definitely sends a picture.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
How do you accidentally send a photo to your district
manager with the intention of getting more overtime to put
money in your pocket?

Speaker 3 (12:49):
It was an accident.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
It work, No, it worked.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Listen, there's no contact, right, no, ma'am.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
Yeah, just have y'all went to the boardroom to like
have a meeting right.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
From the lunchroom.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
Okay, girl, is he married? Say? Are you married? But
then y'all two grown man?

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Do you think?

Speaker 4 (13:15):
Baby? I'm mad?

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Okay, all right, yes, my district manager, you said districts
something else. I'm gonna say, thank you forgot the whole
new job title.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Hanna Hims, Carla you want to tell me and Carlos
King of secret all.

Speaker 7 (13:35):
Right, So I worked for as an install So one day,
like a while ago, I went to do an in
store with the sky cause I'm gay, but my datar
is terrible, So like, if someone that I see is
attractive most of the time, I just jumped on it
because you know that he was.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Interested, so I was like, sure, why not?

Speaker 6 (13:59):
So I messed with him and we started messing with
these around after that. So coming down one time after
I messed with him, we used to play video games
while I'm there, like, there's a knock on the door, banging, like,
open up the door.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
I know you in there, I know you cheating on me.

Speaker 6 (14:15):
Come and find out he has a girlfriend who he
you know, just just just play cool, play Google.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
I played cool.

Speaker 6 (14:23):
But that was the last time I messed with him
because I personally just don't like to be in those
type of situations. So you don't know how to play
you that other person's gonna be Well.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
That was quite an install you did, and maybe he's
a district manager too, so that's all good.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
That's that the only time you ever hooked up with
a customer?

Speaker 6 (14:42):
No, it is definite not.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
Are you still able to like as an installment?

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Remember back in the day, we would get like the
cable and if you knew the person, they'll give you
all kinds of extra channels and things like that.

Speaker 6 (14:53):
You know, you can't do that anymore. They literally have
it locked at the.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Office, so you have to be over there had for office.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
Okay, do that.

Speaker 6 (15:02):
Because I'm on the field, I don't have those options.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
Okay, But they have the option of getting a package.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Yeah, they got a package.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
Deal wink.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
The largest package you can get is.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
The largest package? Is the medium package? Or is it
the bundle?

Speaker 3 (15:14):
The basic?

Speaker 4 (15:15):
The basic?

Speaker 6 (15:18):
I have a premium package.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
Oh okay, all right, thank you for calling.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
I'm going.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
All right, Well, shout out to other district managers that
called in today. And when we come back.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Yet, and let's talk about Cardi b in this assault case.
I kind of knew she was going to come out
on top. What did you think?

Speaker 4 (15:39):
This is a very explicit show. My mind went someplace
else said on top?

Speaker 3 (15:42):
Yet? Is next this way up?

Speaker 4 (15:44):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (15:44):
Sure, she's about to blow the lid off this pot.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
Let's get it.

Speaker 5 (15:47):
Angelus Fielding that yet, come and get your tea.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
It's way up at Angela. Yee, I'm here with Carlos King.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Hello, we'll hear more from him a whole lot more
in a little while, but right now, let's get into
this yet.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
Cardi B's been found not liable in her assault trial.
She's been cleared of assault charges.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
She was sue for twenty four million dollars crazy by
a security guard and Amani Ellis, who says that that
Carti attacked it with her fingernail in twenty eighteen while
visiting a gynocologist that caused a laceration her cheek. Now,
Imani said it wasn't about the money, it was about accountability,
and she said what she did to me was real,
never about the money, but more importantly, it's about that.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
So Cardi B did celebrate this win.

Speaker 8 (16:29):
And his idia not touch that woman. And with that
being said, this time around, I'm gonna be nice. The
next person to try to do a frivolous lawsuit against me,
I'm going to counter soon and I'm gonna make you
pay because this is not okay. I think people have
like this misinterpretations of celebrities Like I said, oh well,
we could ask for this and they're gonna settle.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
Yeah, we were just talking about lawsuits.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Cause crazy, it's crazy. Listen, I am on Cardi's side
when it comes to the fact that you can listen,
you can sue anybody. And for Emani to say that
it wasn't about the money, it was about a constability, honey.
A constability is free. I don't know a constability costs
twenty four million dollars for a seven year.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Situation, right right, because yeah, you're right twenty four But
I guess people do when they do sue you, they
go high.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
Yeah, and you wasted some years of your life for nothing.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
All right?

Speaker 4 (17:28):
Well.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Cardi B is also on the cover of Billboard R
and B hip Hop Power Players that particular issue. She
posted it and amongst the things that she talked about
in this article, you know, they talk about her Invasion
of Privacy album. It's been seven years since that album
came out. Now she's got am I, the drama that
has twenty three tracks on it about to come out.

(17:48):
They asked her about, you know, the world of talented
female rappers has become more competitive than ever, how do
you stay confident and clear in your lane? Amidst all that,
she says, so many girls come and go, they're great,
but yet the fans are asking for my product every
year there's a debate on social media about when my
album is dropping. They're not saying that about other people,
so y'all need to ask them. That's why I'm so confident.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
Well, look, I am a huge fan of female rappers.
I think Nicki Minaj is the cleaner rap that's my opinion.
That's a fact. But I will say this, I love
all FEMA rappers and I'm looking forward to listening to
this album.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Yeah, and the fact that it's been seven years since
her first album and people are still like every move
she makes is a big deal. That is a testament
to the fact that you know, that's a big deal.
That means people are like anxiously awaiting this and they are.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
Yeah, no, I can't wait to listen to it, and we've.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Heard a couple of songs.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
They asked her about that too, you know, just putting
you know, that was a big debate that she had
on social media, putting wop and putting up on the album,
But she said the fans wanted it, and that's why
she said putting that on the album. They also asked
about dating Stefan Diggs and dating somebody who's in the spotlight.
She said it's very tough, but it is what it is.
It's tough hiding. It's tough dating in your thirties. Two him,

(19:00):
I love him today today, And then.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
She laughed, that's very Libra code.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
I was always scared of dating people because I've always
been in a relationship since I was like twenty one.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
That's a fact. She is a relationship person.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
She's a Libra like me. We are relationship people. I
don't like being single. I like having a partner.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
We're gonna talk about that now. But when we come back, man,
we have your under the radar stories. These are the
stories that are not necessarily in the headlines. They are
flying under the radar, but you need to know about them.
Did you know that the number of Americans having sex
has dropped to record lows. Well, we're gonna give you
some information. Why do you look shocked about last night?
All right, it's way up.

Speaker 5 (19:41):
Position in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar, all.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
Right, it's way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
I'm here with my guy, Carlos king a boo, and
we are going under the radar now. According to reports,
the number of Americans having sex has dropped to record lows.
They're calling it a sex recession. According to a recent study,
they said that less than half of one thousand men
and women who are surveyed we're having sex weekly, compared

(20:08):
to fifty five percent in nineteen ninety, So thirty seven
percent we're having sex weekly. Back in nineteen ninety it
was fifty five percent. And they said America's fertility rate
is projected to average one point six births per woman
over the next three decades. That's below the replacement level
of two point one births per woman required to maintain
a stable population without immigration. So that's interesting and I'm

(20:32):
wondering why this could happen now, According to Nicholas ah
To Wolfinger of the University of Utah, he told news Week,
no one knows for sure why fewer people are having sex,
and more broadly, it's always impossible to definitively explain a
secular trend to stocks around levels have been declining for years.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
People may be too busy looking at their phones.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
But data does suggest that some older people got out
of the habit of dating and sex during COVID and
never picked up where they left off.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
They just got used to being single and celibate.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
People are not making money, and in order for you
to date somebody, you need to have money. Okay, a
beautiful woman is not going to sleep with a broke guy.

Speaker 9 (21:13):
You know.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
It's interesting though, to think about how perhaps, you know,
the trend of people just being on their phone, being
at home doing things, not interacting in real life is
having like long term effects and then, like they said,
people got used to being at home and alone during COVID,
and then maybe that's like some residual effects from that.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
I don't know. And there's too much Twitter porn out.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
There, that's true. I'm like on Twitter, like, why is
this just popping up?

Speaker 4 (21:39):
Well, oh, I like a pop up.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
I'm gonna show you somethings all right now.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Gel nail polish is now banned in Europe but not
banned in the United States. Why is this happening? Well,
apparently there's a chemical called TPO. It's not in every
JEIL formula, but it's common enough that the beauty industry
took notice. What they're saying is that TPO can pretendotally
linked to fertility issues and also potentially harm your reproductive organs. Now,

(22:06):
there's some brands that don't have that, like Opis Intelligel
Appress Nail. There's other ones that are tpo for. You
always could ask for that when you go to the
nail salon. Experts say, space out those jel appointments toose
well ventilated salons and use a protective base code to
protect yourself.

Speaker 4 (22:23):
I use jail manicure.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
I see it shining. I saw you go into the
nail salon in Brooklyn.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
I know you were stalking me. What did you want?

Speaker 3 (22:31):
You were running so fast into the salon?

Speaker 4 (22:34):
Was that, Carlos a power walk?

Speaker 2 (22:36):
Okay, well you never walked into there. But just be safe,
all right? And that is you're under the radar. We
do have the way it makes at the top of
the hour, it's a Wealth Wednesday too. And since Carlos
King is here, we want to talk about this whole
empire that you have going on, all the different things,
all the different streams of income. But even outside of that,
what does Carlos King do to make sure that he

(22:56):
is maintaining himself so that one day?

Speaker 3 (22:59):
What does we tire look like? All right? It's way up,
way up.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
It's like a tout like they Angela Jean like they
ANGELI jee, man.

Speaker 5 (23:07):
She's spilling it all.

Speaker 4 (23:08):
This is yet way up.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
It's way up at Angela yee. And I am here
with Kurrent lows King. Let's get into this yet. So
this is an interesting report. Kawhi Leonard is reportedly getting
paid twenty eight million dollars for a no show job
with the Clippers and they're doing that to get around
the NBA salary cap. Allegedly, the La Clippers and the owner,
Steve Bomber are accused of paying him just to circumvent

(23:35):
that NBA salary cap. And Pablo Tory finds out he
laid out the alleged scandal and it shows a lot
of direct quotes from legal documents where it says he
was being paid.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
This was like a tree planting company or something like that.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
And according to this paperwork that I'm seeing, it says
that he'll be getting paid only while he's still with
the Clippers from the no show job.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
I am met at a hustle, baby.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
I don't know if this is illegal or not.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
The NBA has not yet issued a statement, so it
is alleged on this report at the time. Yeah, I mean,
I don't want to say it's for sure yet, but
it's yeah, it's an alleged scandal that's happening, but twenty
eight million dollars legal agreements, and I saw Steven A.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
Smith already weighing in on it and everything. So I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
If these documents are real or what's going to happen,
but I'm sure some other things will unfold today.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
All right, now, the Shade Room Investigates has done this
whole thing on Chris Brown fans. They spoke out they
were locked out of Breezy Bowl in multiple cities.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
That's Atlanta, Philly, Chicago, Miami.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
People are being turned away at the gate, told that
their seats no longer exist.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Here is some of the TSR investigates.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
My Chris Brown fans were hating from outside.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
And I can't get in from Philly, seats don't exist Miami.

Speaker 4 (24:57):
Why was this not mapped out to Chicago? And just
over the weekend Atlanta.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
I couldn't get him the.

Speaker 4 (25:04):
Concert that I paid for tickets disappearing at the gate.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
Well, Chris Barwn responded, He said, Team Breezy, I see
y'all reviews about the difficulty at some venues with the parking, seating,
et cetera.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
Hope you'll understand.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
This is my first stadium tour, so I don't know
if the people in charge of that in the cities
realized the capacity I would bring out. Some cities ran smooth.
This is the first time I've ever been in these venues.
Appreciate y'all concerns. Unfortunately, I'm not in charge of that.
Other than that, my ish fire listen.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
I went to the concert. It is by far the
best console I've been to this year. Okay, he is
a performer. I got in. I'm good. I had no
iss I made it. I saw Emily b my girl.
Hey Emily. It was a great show. He's fantastic, and
I think cut his some slack.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
He's right, he's not in charge of that party.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Oh right, for my law, he's the artist.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
I made a perform So that's stressful. But I'm sure
he so curious enough that he wins his fans to
be able to get in. So for these future concerts,
the people in charge, but get it together, yes, all
right now. Travis Kelsey has broken his silence on his
engagement to Taylor Swift, and that episode of New Heights
is out today, and so he did say that it's
been fun. But you know, he got to introduce Taylor

(26:21):
Swift as his fiancee to a few of his teammates
and he said, you have to know the way to
do it. So yeah, congratulations to them. I guess it
was after that groundbreaking, record breaking interview that they did together.
Right after that they filmed the podcast, he surprised her
and proposed, now, alongside of this, wouldn't it only make

(26:43):
sense for Taylor Swift to perform at.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
The Super Bowl this year?

Speaker 4 (26:46):
I think so well.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
Roger Goodell, the commissioner for the NFL, was on today
and here's what he had to say when questions died
correctly about it.

Speaker 4 (26:54):
We would always love to have Taylor play. She is
a special talent and obviously she would be welcome at anytime.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
Is it in the works.

Speaker 4 (27:02):
I can't tell you anything about that. Is it a maybe?
It's maybe? At what point can we expect the decision
to be announced? I'm waiting on my friend jay Z
to be able to it's in his hands.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
Okay, So it feels like it's closer than your think.
It would only make sense right now, right.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
Especially if the chiefs are actually in the super Bowl again,
it would be iconic.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
You think they will be No, okay, well you know
he can attend.

Speaker 4 (27:30):
The man says, no, that was your ut.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
When we come back, ask yee eight hundred and two
nine two fifty one fifty. You know, Carlos King is here,
so any question you have, we got you.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
It's way up everybody since.

Speaker 5 (27:43):
Whether it's relationship or career advice. Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 4 (27:46):
You should know.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
This is ask ye what's up? His way up?

Speaker 7 (27:50):
Addy?

Speaker 3 (27:50):
Angela yee?

Speaker 2 (27:51):
And Carlos King is here with me, of course, and
it's time for ask yee.

Speaker 3 (27:55):
And today we have KK on the line. You're ready
to help him out?

Speaker 4 (27:58):
I'm ready? All right?

Speaker 3 (27:59):
KK was good.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
My situation was I asked somebody to give me a
play of fool. You know, Labor Day week had just passed.
I said, can I get to play of food? So
when they brung the food back before I even got
to it, the person had taste the food for me
I don't know why, and then told me the food
was nasty, so I threw it away. I don't think

(28:21):
you would.

Speaker 3 (28:22):
Have liked it. So it was the person who got
the food. Was it a friend. Was it a lady friend?

Speaker 1 (28:26):
Yeah, it was a lady friend.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
Okay. Is it somebody you're like intimate with or want
to be my whole thing?

Speaker 1 (28:32):
Is this right? Even if that was the case, because
I don't mind either you picking that it or whatever
the case you or tasting it. You didn't even send
me a courtesy text message to say, look, I taste
the fool it was nasty, which you think I should do.
I wanted to throw it out because I don't think
you would like you know, it's in a courtesy text
message or a courtesy call.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
Is there a reason why you can't fix your own plate?

Speaker 1 (28:52):
No, I wasn't. It wasn't there the Labor Day parade.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
You weren't there.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
Yeah, so you came back hungry thinking you was about
to have some food food exactly, and then she never
even gave you a heads up that there was no food.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
Now, if she would have simply text.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
You and been like, yeah, you're not gonna like this food,
you would have been okay with that.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
I would have been super okay. But I still would
have told her let me be the judge.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
It feels like this is like a control like power
struggle thing is there other issues that y'all be having.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
She feels like I always want to be right. If
you're right, I'm gonna say you right.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
I don't want her to tell you you're right.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
I just want I just want my question to you, guys?
Is it Do it makes sense for somebody to do
that right away?

Speaker 7 (29:34):
Right?

Speaker 4 (29:35):
Well? Listen? Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. All you care
about is if somebody asked you to fix them a
play and that person tastes it and feels it away,
do they have the right to throw something away that
is meant for you and not for their taste buds.
If that's the case, I'm actually on your side. I
get it.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (29:54):
Now, how can this be resolved? Do you want her
to just be like he was a right? You're right?

Speaker 1 (29:58):
K Carlo fit Off was right. I felt like he
was going to jump on my side or the bag.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
I just felt like, is there something bigger happening here?
It's a plate of food, But if.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
It's just if it's a plate of food, I think
it would trickle down to everything else.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Is this something that like y'all could break up over?

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Absolutely?

Speaker 4 (30:15):
KK bro, you took it? Oh yeah, No, look, man,
I was on a side. Now I get it. It's
not break up worthy.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
Y'all just need some conflict resolution. But you said she
feels like you always want to be right. Is there
some truth to that?

Speaker 1 (30:30):
No, I just like common sense. It's I don'tkay who's right.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
If you're right, I will because if you want her
to hear you, don't you also have to hear her.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
Absolutely, And I heard all her stupid damn.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
There we go, all right now all right KK, Well,
look Carlos agrees with you.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
You should feel vindicated.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
Thank you, Carlos, appreciate you.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
God, thank you.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
Brother.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
He's like, I get it, all right.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
Well, that was ask ye eight hundred, you had two
nine two fifty one fifty. And when we come back
it is a wealth Wednesday. So I'm gonna talk to you,
mister Carlos King about what you have going on, because
you have built an empire, and I want to hear
more about what you're doing financially to make sure later
on Carlos King is able to live like the King
that you are.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
All right, it's way up and I beg.

Speaker 4 (31:17):
You about to do this. One of lingos to famous
women in Radiodiomen and we're talking about Angela.

Speaker 6 (31:21):
Ye.

Speaker 4 (31:22):
You're way up with Angela yee. Please believe that what's.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
Up its way up with Angela Yee. I'm here with
my guy, Carlos King.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (31:29):
Hey?

Speaker 4 (31:29):
Boy?

Speaker 3 (31:30):
Now you know what we're doing today. It is a
Wealth Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
And I know we talk to you a lot about
what you have going on in the world of reality TV,
and so I want to talk to you about Carlos
King and your whole quote unquote rain that you have
going on Kingdom Reign Entertainment, and so first of all,
let's talk about what you're doing in New York. I
know you also have the Love and Marriage Hunsbill reunion

(31:53):
coming up, yes, season ten.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
Right, season ten. Yay Bell Collective is also coming back.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
Oh yes, and this upcoming season A Bell collect is
the best one yet.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
Oh wow. All right, I'm locked in. When does this
new season start?

Speaker 4 (32:08):
Well on HAF some announcement first, because I don't want
to get in trouble, but it's coming sooner than you think.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
Okay, all right, so we'll get that announcement soon. And
I want to, of course talk about reality with the King,
that is your show. That's your baby, where you're the
star of the show. So when it comes to certain interviews,
like you have Saucy Santana on that one just dropped yesterday.
Yes earlier, behind the scenes, we were talking about an
interview that you did that has been like your one
of your biggest ones to date, and I was telling you.

(32:33):
I was like, oh, I thought your interview with Caesar
from Black Ink was really good, and you were like,
you will not believe that that's the one that is
like to date has some of the biggest numbers.

Speaker 4 (32:41):
Yeah, So as of the twenty twenty five my interview
with Caesar from Black Ink Crew is the highest view
so far and we dropped that interview maybe three weeks ago.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
What do you attribute that to?

Speaker 4 (32:52):
Well, let me just say it plainly, the black reality
stars they don't have a mainstream platform that allows them
to be seeming to be heard and for someone like
me to ask questions where it's not messy and I'm
able to ask everything and they answer everything. And when
it comes to Caesar, he's done interviews before. But I
think it's the level of mainstream that my podcast has

(33:16):
afforded itself to be to where other people maybe not
have seen him do other interviews, but they watch mine.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
So Saucy's out now, and you got him to really
talk a lot about things that he's witnessed. He obviously
goes hard for his girl, Karesha, Yes, and was really
just saying that he thinks people owe her an apology.

Speaker 4 (33:36):
Yes, he did say that. So Santana has been Karesha's
friend since he was her makeup artist. He was around
when she was dating Diddy, and he.

Speaker 3 (33:45):
Saws having a good time too.

Speaker 4 (33:46):
He's said, he said, we had a good time, and
these are his words. He said that Diddy gave her
the princess treatment, and Saucy does feel like his best
friend who went through a depression. He had to get
her out of bed. She cried a lot, and he
said that I, as her best friend, wanted her to
do well. And he feels like because the trial has ended,

(34:09):
that the world owes creation apology.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
Well, make sure y'all tune in and watch that, but
watch all of the interviews. You know, Carlos interviewed me too,
which did very well, and I do want to.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
Thank you for that, because you know, I.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Don't do a whole lot of interviews sometimes I feel
like it'd be like a lot of little gotcha moments
and people trying to like ask you crazy things or
maybe be able to put out a headline that's like dang,
I didn't even say that. So I felt comfortable enough.
I was like, it's Carlos, not a problem. Let's make
it happen.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
And so I'm thank you for saying yes, because you
don't do interviews, so I know I really do thank you.

Speaker 3 (34:40):
All right, Well, I want to talk more with you
when we come back.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
I know Bell Collective is coming back, but I also
want to talk about reality with the King and all
of the different things that you have going on, and
how you've managed to structure your business because even starting out,
think about where you started and where you are now
and having all these different things under your belt. So
we just want to get into some of the since
this is a Wealth Wednesday, things that Carlos is doing
to make sure that your piece is protected as well

(35:05):
and that you feel stable for in the future. And
you know, thirty years from now, you might be like,
I just want to chill. I want to know what
those plans are. All right, it's way up.

Speaker 4 (35:12):
I had a dream of wealthy, and I don't mind
sharing my wealth dog.

Speaker 5 (35:16):
Getting you straight financially, mentally and physically. This is Wealth
Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
What's up his Way Up with Angela ye And as
you know, Carlos King is hanging out with me today.
So Carlos, aside from everything that you have going on,
because you know we've been talking about Kingdom Reign Entertainment,
that's your company, your production company. Carlos, what are some
of your biggest tips for money management?

Speaker 4 (35:38):
I am a great saver. I do have an investment banker.
I do have a business manager, so I really make
sure that listen, I'm gonna say this to y'all, stop
putting your money into banks. Make sure you guys understand
the percentage of interest rate that you're getting. Make sure
that you put your money into whether girl could be
a CD money market. And I'm really big on investments. Now. Look,

(36:03):
it doesn't mean doue real estate if that's not your thing.
But what it does mean is get a vangguard account, Like,
just do something to where your money is making money.
Your money is not making money at the bank, y'all.
That's zero points zero zero one percent inches rate you
get in twenty five cents at the end of the year.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
My bank is good for money I need to access
right away. And so when I hit a certain mark,
I know it's time to like make a move. So
I like to like kind of like pile up my
money and then invest in something because I do enjoy
real estate. I enjoy the idea. I have different accounts
for different things. Like I have one account that I
pay bills out of mortgages, whatever other payments that I
have to get done.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
You know, there is such a thing as good debt.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
Yeah, And so I want people to not think that
you have to have cash to buy a house and
pay for the whole thing, you know, upfront. There are
things that you can finance that makes sense, you know,
like home.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
Yeah. Can I say something controversial, If you do not
have a passion for real estate, don't invest your money
to home.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
You have to understand nothing is guaranteed when it comes
to investments, whether it's a stock market, whether it's real estate,
whatever it is that you're doing. There is no such
thing as we can guarante. If somebody says guaranteed X
amount of return, it's fake. It's false. That's not true.

Speaker 3 (37:14):
It can't happen, but it is a risk.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
And so what you have to realize is that sometimes
your losses are lessons. So you can make a mistake
and you learn from that mistake so that you know
what to do the next time. And it's always a
process though, there's always mistakes that are going to be made.
There's always things you could have done differently.

Speaker 3 (37:31):
But you're right.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
If you are not passionate about real estate and you're
not wanting to learn, then it's not the best thing
for you. And there's other ways that you can invest.
But Carlos, there's things you are passionate about. So with
that being said, what type of investing do you prefer?

Speaker 4 (37:45):
I prefer the stock market. Okay, there's money markets. There's
opportunities to where you can buy the stock and I'm
thinking the name of it, but there's opportunities to wear
it's much more like you just put your money to
account and it's like computer generated and they'll put your
money into different stocks whatever. So just find the ones
that worked for you. But I love investment stocks.

Speaker 2 (38:05):
And there's so many different ways with different apps that
you can just have on your phone on the go.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
You can do fractional stocks. You don't have to buy
like full you know, so.

Speaker 2 (38:13):
Just different ways that people can invest and get a
financial advisor.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
A lot of that is free. That comes with your bank.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
If you you know, whatever bank it is that you're using,
they will get you one and check your credit make
sure you have all of those things together. But you know,
that's it. I just wanted to talk to Carlos about that.

Speaker 4 (38:28):
That's good though, because I run a company, I own
my stuff, So it's really good that you asking those
questions because just because you're in this position, that's mean
you know every thing and all want the world.

Speaker 3 (38:37):
We're all learning, we're all.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
Learning, and it's okay to make a mistake and your
losses can turn into gains as long as you don't
repeat the same mistake twice.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
Carlos, and I appreciate that you always come up here
and guess so I always have a good time with you.
I'm tuned in so always, and I'm always like, Carlos,
we got to do more together.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
I do show you that, so we could make a
lot of money together.

Speaker 2 (38:56):
I feel like you're around a lot, so we got
to really like pow wow, I'm here okay, but when.

Speaker 3 (39:00):
We come back. You guys, this is your show, so
you have the last word.

Speaker 5 (39:04):
Take up the phone, tapping to get your voice heard
with the word bitch is the last word on Way
Up with Angela Ye.

Speaker 3 (39:12):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (39:13):
