the bus yesterday, I went into juve and I was
outside and it was the pain, it was the powder,
it was the love. It was the sweat my shirt
off and I felt good. I saw a lot of
it was the Johnny Kid with tuna, and then it
was like cakes as well, right, and then it was
like I'm gonna look, you know, July twenty six is
my weddy.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
I'm looking for somebody take him off.

Speaker 5 (03:19):
It might be here, you know.

without all of us here that have been together. Couldn't

own own brand talk about it.

Speaker 7 (03:59):
Yeah, well last night you know, un punched in one head, Ye,
candy balls in my pocket.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Listen, y'all we did. And so when you go to
Jube in the morning, early early, you feel like by
the time it's ten, you feel like it's five o'clock
at night.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
Crazy, Yeah, because what we I think we were were
supposed to leave around six. We got there with maybe
a seven in the morning, yes, early, and.

It was on fire all like I've never seen nothing
like that.

Speaker 6 (04:29):
Sorry. And also it rained, nobody stopped.

Speaker 5 (04:32):
It rains nothing.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
That's like, but so far about last night. As you know,
we're out here at USB, I we're out here in

that you had. Johnny ended up getting one to go

because he was I.

Speaker 7 (05:07):
Didn't know what a Johnny cake was, was like a
crab cake and something. I was like, what's a Johnny kid?

Speaker 6 (05:12):
So you know what a cake is? I was like,
it's crazy.

Speaker 9 (05:16):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
When I seen her wrap you up want to go,
I was like, yeah, also not for nothing.

Speaker 6 (05:21):
I know this sounds simple. The popcorn was so good.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
It was the greatest popcorn.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
But I wouldn't say. What's great about juve is, and
I've always said that I love this is that you
see people of all ages outside having an amazing time,
from young babies to people that are like way older. Yeah,
and it's it's a whole vibe. It's a super safe
place to be and everybody is.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
Everybody was just enjoying themselves.

Speaker 6 (05:49):
And we went to the concert later.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
Right, And then we went to the concert last night.
When I tell you, I don't even know we said

How he was jumping, he was so highate karate, he
was thrusting in.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
He never stopped moving.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
We ran into him in the hotel lobby on the
way back to ye. He asked us, he asked us
how he did that? Amazing.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
And the night before that we saw cast the band
and listen so much.

Speaker 6 (06:36):
We don't him in the hotel.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Man performing Valley and mass is like all ages involved.
And so again this is why we love Carnival so much.
When we come back, actually, Pressure Buzz Pip is going

catch a flight, so we got something real quick with him.
But nominated for two Caribbean Musical this year. We saw
him last year to at the awards, but he's definitely

(06:59):
from the same time. He's like an ambassador here. Everybody
know him, look up to him. So we'll talk to
him when we come back. It's way up.

Speaker 8 (07:05):
That's a business is way up with Angela.

Speaker 10 (07:07):

for the first time last year, Yes, this is our
second time. Yeah, and it feels like it's growing and
growing even more.

Speaker 12 (07:46):
Yeah, definitely, especially that they have.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
It's fun that I'm when I tell you, I'm having
so much fun and everybody is so amazing, like being
able to I mean, we're home and Nina is literally home.

Speaker 9 (08:01):

And so congratulations to you. Nominated for two years for
two or worse this year too.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
You know, how does it feel to have this longevity
that you have, because when you were on stage yesterday
you were really breaking it down for people, just even
bringing people back to the beginning of your career when
you decided you wanted to do reggae.

Speaker 12 (08:22):
Yeah, it's it's important because you know, for me, consistencies everything,
you know what I mean. I grew up on reggae music,
but today reggae music is like seems like it's fine
in its way. So for the artism that myself and
others who really been pushing the music forward for so
many years, you know, it feels good to know that
today we have the chapter a lot that people get
actually sing along to. They know the music, and it

(08:44):
feels good to know that all these years attaining the
music and for me, it's all about the message.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
You have a new single out now called Haunted, also Haunted.

Speaker 12 (08:53):
I'm coming from a place where reggae music helped he
of the world. You know, reggae music is a tool
to to to leyv people from Bob Marley. You know,
these are the artists that inspire me. Of course, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
You even did aska song. It took you some time
to get but but how did that because it is
also look it's fun.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Yeah, that's so.

Speaker 12 (09:14):
I honestly kind of dedicated that song to my dad.
My dad always wanted me to sing a was connected
to I mean, of course I come from a community
where it's it's it's in big demand. But for me,
Ricky music has always captured my heart, like that was
my place in the music. So my dad always would
be like, bro, when you go do some music, and

(09:36):
he did, and he passed. And then months after he passed,
the opportunity game like this producer was like, Yo, what
you feel like flash like you know something. My father
would have loved this. Let me just do it just
because I felt he would have loved it. And the
song did.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Great, It did amazing great.

Speaker 12 (09:54):
Won the Road March for the first time ever doing
a Sosoka song. For it to win role much in
the Virgin Island. That was big for me. So you know,
I'm the son done.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
So that's why I just did it.

Speaker 6 (10:07):
And he'll be he'll do something.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
Sure, no, baby, yeah, feeling next time, do it one
more time. Well listen, go catch a flight. Thank you.
It's a blessing for you to come through. We appreciate it.
We will see you in New York. All right, definitely,
all right, well, thank you again. The pressure best pipe
is out here about to go catch a flight, so Jasmine,
speaking of catching flight, yes, can we discuss how easy

(10:33):
it was for us to get to Saint Thomas. We
don't have to go through customs, No, I was.

Speaker 6 (10:38):
I was surprised. I forgot that from last year. We
didn't have to.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
It's part of the United States. It's a blessing. Direct flight,
you don't need a passport. But anyway, we got more.
When we come back. We're gonna be talking to the Commissioner,
We're gonna be talking to the Governor, We're gonna be
talking to third, to Tamisha. We're out here in the US,
Virgin Angela living our best life. It's way up.

Speaker 10 (10:58):

Brand is here, yes, CJ whatever, yeah, Mayo. And so
let's talk about Jube a little bit. We're in St. Thomas.
When I say here, we're in the US Virgin Islands
is Carnival and Saint Thomas. So Jube mana, was that
your first time?

Speaker 5 (11:20):
The first time? First time?

Speaker 7 (11:21):
It was a brand new experience for me, and it
was it was really really really dope, Like I said,
I was. We was on the bus and we was
looking and I was just like amazed by so many
people and then all shout out there Aana, She.

Speaker 5 (11:33):
Was like, you need to come down down.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
In the crowd, right, And it was.

Speaker 5 (11:37):
I was in the crowd there.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
You're shooting a music video out here while you're doing
why not not.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
Only he shooting a docu in a music video, he's
also trying to find his wife.

Speaker 5 (11:48):
Getting married multiple things, find my family to give me space.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
Yeah yeah, yeah, what's what's been your favorite part so far?

Speaker 6 (11:57):
About and everything?

Speaker 7 (11:58):
Like it was just the energy something like the people
was like really really having fun and enjoying a moment,
Like they never stopped dancing, like it was just non
stop dancing, walking following.

Speaker 6 (12:08):
The truck and its long.

Speaker 7 (12:11):
Remember we got out there seven o'clock in the morning.
They had been out there from like what three three am,
all night some.

Speaker 6 (12:17):
People, and it had the rain like three times.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Nobody's moving, nobody's just so people juve. Happens before Carnival everywhere.
It's not just here, but it's the thing. Even in
New York before we have the West Indian Day Parade,
so it means like daybreak. I think it's the day before,
so you're supposed.

Speaker 10 (12:36):
To all night loan.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Some people prefer Jeb to actual.

Speaker 6 (12:42):
It feels like less pressure. It's like it's more chill.

Speaker 9 (12:44):
To me.

Speaker 6 (12:44):
It's still a lot of partying, but it's more chill.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
And they're definitely on the truck that we were on.
There were performances from the truck. Fabulous was there? Yeah
it was, And it was paint and it was raining
and no one cares.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
That's when I got my word. I got the sprased.

Speaker 7 (13:00):
Now okay, I'm going because it was like back up,
the umbulance is coming through, give it space, give it and.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Give it.

Speaker 6 (13:09):
Yeah, your accent is getting a little better.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Happens slogan all week, give give speed.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
So we need to learn some hopefully when we talked
to Tamish and there will learn some lingos so that
we can say I need it. Yeah, so we can
learn some things that we could take back with us. Well, listen,
and to be clear, we are still in the United States.
I know some people be thinking like, oh, you know, customs,
do I need a passport? You don't need a passport.
You don't have to go through customs. Direct flight.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
I got off the flight and went straight the baggage claim.
I was like, oh, wait, man, I'm not stopping anywhere
or no, I'm not.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Okay, but look, just to show y'all, we got connections.
All right, the governor is going to be joining us,
So your Governor Albert Bryant Jr. We are actually at
his home right now. We're broken, you know, I'm kidding,
but we're set up here. It's a beautiful, beautiful view.
We have the kids carnival playing in the background, is
having a good time. We are living our life and
we're about to eat.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
And Mayo said he jumping in the pool to.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Govey God. When we come back, it's way up, turn
me up. Here we go again.

Speaker 10 (14:10):

is here. Man's here? Oh, and we are joined by
Govey gov aka Governor Albert Bryant. You and your thank
you for joining us and for letting us broadcast from
your home.

Speaker 9 (14:24):
A warm good morning to you from the beautiful Virgin Islands.
It's great to be here at Catherine Berger. I think
this is one of the most picturesque places in the US.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Word beautiful.

Speaker 6 (14:34):
Yes, it's beautiful.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
May O came in. We said, I think I'm gonna
like it here.

Speaker 7 (14:39):
Taking pictures over there, I said, I came here. I
said that it will the Governor be mad if he
just catching me in his pool already.

Speaker 6 (14:44):
Don't know what we do jump in with all the
clothes while he's gonna jump in.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
But it is carnival. So can we just talk about
what's been going on? You know, you're Governor that I've
seen a lot of positive things happening the tourism industry,
just even the airport's flights here. Can we talk about
everything that's going on right now Saint Thomas and the
US Virgin Islands.

Speaker 9 (15:02):
Well, I tell you, this is one of the most
exciting carnivals. I live right up here in the hill
and the theme of this carnival.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Is boom boom, boom, boom boom.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
That's all I've been hearing for a lot.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
That's a good thing. I love that.

Speaker 9 (15:13):
But people are here, they're having a good time. It's
a safe place to come. And you know, the US
Virgin Islands is always rising and we're on fire.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
This year.

Speaker 9 (15:20):
We got great entertainment in the village.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Last night we had Shaba.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
When I perform in person.

Speaker 5 (15:28):
That was so never stop moving.

Speaker 6 (15:30):
Yes, he makes me feel lazy.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
Work out that was in great shape.

Speaker 9 (15:35):
You know. The great thing about it is that we
have three of these for the year December now and
then July, and they're all free. One week music concerts.

Speaker 5 (15:44):
Three carnivals.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
Yeah, US Virgin is Sati, Saint John, Saint Thomas.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
This is this is this is the big one.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
This is our favorite Virgin Islands carnival.

Speaker 10 (15:55):
St.

Speaker 9 (15:55):
John.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
Fourth of July is great.

Speaker 9 (15:56):
We had White Cliff John there last carnival, you know,
and then Saint Croix is right around. It's like after Christmas,
so it's a real big celebration.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
My Girlayana was telling me about these fights from Chicago,
because all that is important when you think about how
y see it is to get here and how welcoming
it is. So just let us know for anybody who
wants to come to Saint Thomas, you know, just talk
about the attraction of why this is a great place
for us to com Well, the.

Speaker 9 (16:19):
First thing about it is that everybody at me from
the States and coming, they said. But the most beautiful
thing is everybody looks like us. You know, It's like
Wakanda in the tropics.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
So that's great.

Speaker 9 (16:29):
But it's easy of coming here because you don't need
your pass for you just get on the plane, you
go through TSA and then you're on the beach by
four five o'clock. There's all the planes line at three.
It's a real small island, Saint Thomas. So you get
the views, you can do a lot of shopping. We
got great stores here and most of all, we got
great people. I mean, the people are excellent. Everybody told
us you good morning. We take things for granted here.

(16:51):
I tell people the Virgin Islands doesn't know what an
amber alert is. Oh wow, yeah, yeah, nobody's steal your
kids when we go to the States, like it's stay closer.

Speaker 10 (17:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Can I just say what just happened though? While we
were out here. Somebody lost their kids last night.

Speaker 6 (17:08):
Yeah, last night.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
And it was so funny to know a poem he
bought this time. He said somebody's love pickning, you know,
and with the parents came running open like that's my kid,
and it was very easy.

Speaker 10 (17:21):
It isn't happen anywhere else.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Food is too expensive here.

Speaker 5 (17:24):
I'm not feeding your kid.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Look, get your kids right now.

Speaker 6 (17:28):
That's funny.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Well, thank you so much, and we appreciate your hospitality.
We'll be back next year. Don't forget Saint Croix. Also,
Carnival's coming up, like you said.

Speaker 9 (17:36):
That's right. Three reasons to fact Saint Croix in January
the six is three Kings Day. We're gonna have a
great line up again, a week of good fun filled
U festivities, artists, music, fun, come on down.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Saint John has the most beautiful beach in the world.
That is not you saying that. That is like a
unanimous decision. It's a fact.

Speaker 6 (17:57):
It's a fact, Yeah it is.

Speaker 9 (17:58):
I mean when you go to Saint John, it's like
it's like Disney. You can actually like a little bird flag.
What's beautiful time you get there. I mean, it's something
amazing to see.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
I was here during the pandemic because I didn't have
my passport. You know how hard it was, and you
don't need a passport, so period, even period period. Governor
Albert Bryant, JUNR. Thank you so much. We're gonna go
fet some more. And when we come back, I want
to talk about etiquette with Jasmine and man. Know, as
we're at Carnival. What are some things that you're learning
about this whole festival, about Carnival, about Dubet. What is etiquette?
And I think one of the first rules is no sleep.

(18:32):
We'll discuss it this.

Speaker 10 (18:33):
Way up, way up with Angela.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
Ye more now Yo, it's way up with Angela. Yeah,
I'm here and I'm with Jasmine brand Man, you know,
also DJ whatever. Yeah, and we are in the USBI.
We're in Saint Thomas.

Speaker 5 (18:48):
Yes, we are.

Speaker 6 (18:49):
We're outside, Angela.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Literally we are outside. I actually would love doing the
show like this on a daily basis, right, but we
were at Dubet. We're getting ready for Carnival tomorrow. So
I was talking about the essential things that you need
for anybody that is planning to go to any type
of juveet celebration to carnival. Now, some people were able
to bust things out as we needed them. But things out, huh,

(19:13):
all right, shout out to Ayana. It started raining and
she started handing out shower caps. But shower caps are
important not just for the rain, but also in case
you're gonna have paint thrown on you you don't want it.

Speaker 5 (19:24):
I was noticing everybody had goggles on. I was like
why they got gogles on? Like why? And then I
understood it's the paint. It's like water plants. Protect your eyes.

Speaker 9 (19:34):
Now.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
One speech that they gave us before we headed out
on the road was just be aware. Tuck your chain
for sure, as we should, but also if you are
with somebody here significant, other people will be winding up
on them. It's no harm, no found unless unlet's unless
there is just keep your girl next to you.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Yeah, it was a lot of that going on.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
There wasn't a lot of going on. You jumped out, hey, man,
have you seen me getting and the barnaca is.

Speaker 9 (20:01):
Just what it is?

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Yes, yeah, so but it is all in fun. So
I think sometimes for people who are first time at Carnival,
are not from the culture, they get a little bit
like what's going on here, like that, this is gonna
be the test. This is a test for my wife.
Happened the chance to wrap. Yeah, they got video of
him getting one, remember that.

Speaker 6 (20:19):
Yeah, but it makes sense. That's what happens when culture.
But we made it go go up.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
So yeah, so all of the other things that I think,
make sure you wear. Don't try to wear cute shoes.
It's gonna get wrecked. Make sure that you got on
some nice comfortable shoes. You get a towel so you.

Speaker 5 (20:36):
Could force ones, got finished, You got.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
Paint on it. Everything.

Speaker 6 (20:39):
If you could bring a little portable fan with you,
that would be great.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
Bring some wipes, all of the things that you mighty
and cash. I want to say cash is the wearing
because if you want to buy some food or what
if you want some Johnny cakes, it's good to have
some cash.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
You have been on point with the portable fan though,
that's that's been coming in hand.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
I've been taking it from Randy and then I should
here because sharing is caring. Everyone's face with a fan,
and I give them.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
A little action that held us down in the village
last night.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
But the number one Etiquett rule is to have fun.
It's not a place to be mad. No, it's not
a place to be Nobody looks a pace. It's no
place for it. Yes, well, we do have the way
you mixed for you guys at the top of the hour.
Plus we got Tamisha and Third joining us from the
usb I, so we'll be talking to them and we

(21:29):
are going to have commissioners Joe with us. He's the
one that is always present going to Jets games because
he's is he a fan of the judge?

Speaker 6 (21:35):
Yes, it feels like it.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
It feels like it. All right, we'll talk about it.
It's way up.

Speaker 7 (21:42):
Who it's way up at Angela.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
Yee, I'm here, new Mano is in the building right Yes,
DJ whatever Jazz and Brand is here. I'm sure y'all
can hear the music in the background, y'all hear that
right now? We are, Yes, it's the Kid's Carnival going on.
Whatever you using that as a kid, Yeah, yeah, I
used to be in the really yeah yeah.

Speaker 5 (22:06):
I was here every year every year from when I
was a kid.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
Every summer my mom would send me in the moment
I got out of school, sent me down here.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
Awesome.

Speaker 5 (22:13):
So you wasn't born here, right, No, no, no, no.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
I wasn't born here, but I was here by the
time I was like one years old.

Speaker 6 (22:19):
It's the second home.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
Yeah, and we are getting ready for Carnival. Carnival is tomorrow,
so tonight we got to get our costumes together.

Speaker 6 (22:27):
I'm a little nervous about my fitting because I have
been eating, like.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
Everybody, everybody the Johnny cake.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
And those are unfigiving.

Speaker 4 (22:39):
Yeah, I'm just But the great thing about Carnival is
is all shapes and size is You're no one is
you know, judge, you let it hand. Yeah, my stomach
is definitely gonna be hanging the show.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
Listen. I've been eating all kinds of things and having
drinks and doing everything. But it is also kind of
so we gotta be outside getting ready for all of that.
But what are some tips that you could give us
DJ whatever, being that you've been coming here since you
were one.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Have fun, have great energy, right, good vibes, like don't
come here all sad?

Speaker 6 (23:12):
Like wait a minute, what does that mean? What is means?
Shut up?

Speaker 1 (23:22):
You gonna want to be ready to turn off. You
know what I'm saying, Like Mano.

Speaker 3 (23:26):
Mano was ready to turn up from the moment he
got here.

Speaker 5 (23:28):
I'm gonna turn him now.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
I was like, Maya, it's probably still gonna be asleep
when we go to the show. I texted him like, oh,
man I forgot to tell Mana. I said, we about
to leave. He walked down two minutes later.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
And when you walk down, leave me out.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
I look like I got left. But I do again
want to say that we are having such a great time.
If you guys have never been to the US Virgin Islands,
to Saint Thomas, to Saint Croix, to Saint John, this
is the opportunity for you guys to get it together.
We have DJ whatever who's gonna be able to tell
you what you need to do. Mayno's trying to get
in touch with his family.

Speaker 5 (24:03):
Yes, on the hunt, But who are we looking for?
John Ingerman?

Speaker 3 (24:08):
John Ingerman? If anybody knows John Ingerman, say that is
Maynos who is at your uncle?

Speaker 5 (24:13):
Maybe we don't know yet.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
That's very not common.

Speaker 6 (24:16):
Last nar okay, unique, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:19):
It's unique. I'm thinking that we are related. So we're
gonna find out.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
Though it's a good feeling to come home. Do you
think you took it for granted when you were younger?

Speaker 1 (24:28):
I definitely did. I definitely did. Now I'm truly appreciating
it more and more.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
Yeah, sometimes when you're from someplace, yeah like Omaha Jazz
AND's Nebraska.

Speaker 13 (24:37):
Oh God.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
Yeah, for me, it was it was an adjustment like
they would send me like again, the moment we got
out of school in June, I was down here.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
So yeah, I definitely took it for granted.

Speaker 6 (24:47):
When I was a kid, people paid good money to
come here. Vacation you had. This is your second yeap.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Blessed to be here, blessed to be here with all
y'all too.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
Well, guys, you know we all are feeling blessed right now.
When we come back.

Speaker 9 (24:57):
We have more.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
We're talking about the US Virton Islands. We got to
Misha joining us. She's actually from Saint Chrome, and we
also have their joining us here is from Saint Thomas.
He owns a studio out here. We're gonna talk to them,
but we're gonna have y'all tapped in trust and believe
it's way up and about to.

Speaker 13 (25:13):
Do this Loos to train this women in radio Uo,
we're talking about Angela.

Speaker 10 (25:17):
Ye, you're way up with Angela.

Speaker 4 (25:19):
Ye.

Speaker 10 (25:19):
Please believe that.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
I know that's right. It's way up with Angela. Jasmine
Brand is here, yes.

Speaker 10 (25:26):
On my own.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
Listen. So we're out here in Saint Thomas. We're in
the US Virgin Islands getting ready for Carnival, which is tomorrow.
We did juvee already yesterday. Performances at the village every
single night, activities literally throughout the day. In the midst
of it all, we're trying to find manuel wife.

Speaker 6 (25:43):
Oh right, we found one. We gotta find her again.
We found one.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
Maybe she was.

Speaker 6 (25:51):
I was yesterday, right, so whoever you but you know
her face looks like but we do know what Okay?

Speaker 3 (25:58):
I do want to say, somebody just put a new
dating app. Really, yes, if you're single and looking for love,
I got the perfect app for you, date dot Com.
You know who it is, Larca Pippen. I created an
app that super easy. I wouldn't know if anybody's had

(26:18):
any carnival hookups that turned into.

Speaker 4 (26:21):
Long lasting relationships, turning the kids, well, you know that's
got to start somewhere.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
Exist.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
I am positive to exist, right, imagine meeting somebody out
here in the midst of all these people and having
a connection.

Speaker 6 (26:34):
Yeah, it's a perfect backdrop too.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
And then you go and then you go here. You
guys ever had like a little quick vacation romance.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Yeah, your past definitely.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Yeah, that's the most fun. And then either you see
them again or maybe you won't ever see them again.
But just imagine how many people met at Carnival and
fell in love.

Speaker 6 (26:52):
Yeah, that's sweet. That's a sweet story.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
That's why we got to get made a wife here
because it's a great story.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
Yes, it is love stories.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
From everything else. It's just a good story to tell me.
What do you guys need?

Speaker 6 (27:05):
Virginia, Well, you know, I was at Juvet and then
this man grabbed me from behind.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
I was going hard heart to stop right and then
and then may I can tell the story I saw
her from a distance at that time, her friends.

Speaker 5 (27:20):
How my wedding was already set.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
That's the real Yeah, that's crazy, it's already said, it's
already just got to show up. He got a ring
for his well you and.

Speaker 7 (27:30):
I said, how do you know her mas? I just
got it like a seven or something that standard. Yeah,
I don't want a big finger person.

Speaker 3 (27:37):
You don't hold on.

Speaker 6 (27:38):
You don't want a big finger person.

Speaker 5 (27:40):
It's like were wolf fingers that woman you.

Speaker 6 (27:42):
Saw yesterday, What if she has big fingers? Would you
still the woman that you liked that you saw her?

Speaker 3 (27:46):
Was impossible, I teld him, I think I think fat
hands are so cute.

Speaker 5 (27:50):
Yeah, I like, yeah, like swollen fish like.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
I don't want that, you know. But anyway, yes, so
that's what we're out here for. But listen, the whole
point of it is just to have fun. Bring your friends,
bring your family. This is a great friends trip. Yeah, yeah,
it is. We're having a ball because you know how
we are as women. We go together, we leave together.
But there's so much fun in between in the midst
of all that. And it's super safe. So literally we're

(28:19):
outside in the audience, like watching performances. You don't got
to be backstage. No things over here, you know.

Speaker 6 (28:25):
And we're drinking. We're drinking, lots drinking. I know you're
not talking.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
Yeah, what else are you doing? Man? All right?

Speaker 6 (28:33):
Also, would you like to indulge.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
Be Well, when we come back, we're gonna have the

we got third here as well from Saint Thomas. What
we're saying, what we're saying, saying saying, that's it. I
just want to add to the list.

Speaker 5 (29:21):

Speaker 3 (29:22):
You got to get what going on? What going on? Yes,
going what going on? Getting in.

I think it's great about both of you guys, is
that it's not just that you go in the studio
and can record music, but y'all are deep, like as
far as you know, for you Calypso Soca doing it all, Thord,
we know you also R and B like tinges of
everything in your music. So just shout out to both
of you. I saw you got nominated for a Caribbean
Music Award.

Speaker 5 (30:00):

Speaker 14 (30:01):
Yeah, man, it's definitely being a blessing. I was there
for the same last year. So to come back this
year and you nominated, you know big blessings.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
Well listen, y'all have the most amazing carnival this year.
I want to say we were outside.

Speaker 6 (30:12):
Mmm, I'm surprised you didn't find a wife.

Speaker 10 (30:16):
Then I will.

Speaker 5 (30:17):
I'm all my mission because you know my wedding is
already playing.

Speaker 6 (30:19):
I don't know I can, I mean, I can introduce myself,
help me out.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
You know, she looked like me. But I got a
steel pan player for your for your wedding. You don't
have the whole amazing We might have had the wedding here, right.

Speaker 5 (30:31):

Speaker 3 (30:37):

tied up with that, and of course doing music. But
then I'm gonna drop some more music this summer. I'll
be back in Atlanta for Atlanta Carnival. I won't be
in Orlando, but you can actually see me throughout the
summer at different carnivals.

Speaker 6 (31:54):
Oh, you gotta watch Lost and Carried Away.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
That's what it got away.

Speaker 11 (31:57):

you can watch Pressure. You can watch wig up and
then get ready for Osmo's play.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
All right. Third, the only third, the only thing, the
only third, and that is like a three.

Speaker 5 (32:09):
Three are for sure.

Speaker 3 (32:12):
Yeah, and the third House.

Speaker 14 (32:14):
If you want to any great music, any bangles, y'all
wanted to me go to the Third House for sure.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
That's right. Well, thank you so much to Tamisha, Thank
you third for joining me and Mano Mano. When we
come back, we got to talk to you because you know,
like we said, these Tanisha and Third, they're from the
US Virgin Islands. But now you have your roots and
we've made a connection, indeed, and we're going to talk
about it when we come back. This is a real
connection happening in real time while we're sitting here. It's

(32:41):
way up about to do this one of the famous
women in radio Vidio.

Speaker 10 (32:47):
We're talking about Angela Ye. You're way up with angela Ye.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
Please believe that.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
What's up is way put Angela yee. I'm here with
Jasmine Brand Yes, Maino's here. Yes now listen, we've been
talking to a lot of people here that you SBI.
We were here for the same time as Carnival. We
had pressure for bus.

Speaker 5 (33:04):
Pipon this right, shout out to him.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
You know, we're at the Governor's house right now.

Speaker 6 (33:08):
It's amazing in here too, it is amazing phenomena.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
And third, but joining us, Commissioner Joe is on the way.
But Mano, one of the things that we've been talking
about is the fact that yes, you actually have roots here,
and we made a little contact, so I know we're
going to follow through. But people know Ingerman is what
was your last name?

Speaker 4 (33:29):
Is my last name, that's my grandfather's name, that's her
grandfather's name.

Speaker 5 (33:33):
Mother.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
So uh, there's Ingerman's here on this island.

Speaker 7 (33:37):
That's a fact Virgin Islands period. Okay, yeah, my grandfather
was moving.

Speaker 5 (33:42):
He probably was. It is probably like every Ingerman in
every city.

Speaker 4 (33:46):
You guys have something common in that because he liked
a lot of women. You like women, so of course, yeah,
but I will say, man will take care of his
kids and and.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
But yeah, but that's still plural, it's more than one.
It's still plural, right, And he's not done.

Speaker 6 (34:06):
He's not done.

Speaker 5 (34:06):
I'm getting married.

Speaker 6 (34:09):
You gonna have someone with your with your wife.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
But I do want to say, but this is also
an important conversation because it has to feel feel. It's
a weird feeling. I'm sure it feels like really really weird,
like it's bubbling right now. You don't even know how
to feel.

Speaker 5 (34:22):
It's like, Wow, I got real family.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
But this is for people who, you know, for dads
who have kids that are maybe scattered around.

Speaker 10 (34:30):
Right, you never know.

Speaker 5 (34:31):
You never know.

Speaker 7 (34:32):
Years later somebody pop up, secret kids and things like that.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
You have all of these things going on, but just
imagine how it affects other people. You know what I'm saying.
People want to get to know their family and that
is a blessing to be able to be like, well,
I think your family would be a blessing. Some family
maybe not. Yeah, you know, you got five hundred dollars
I can borrow, but I don't think you'll have that situation.
So you're gonna be straight, straight, straight, gonna But anyway,

(35:00):
So Commissioner Joe is coming up when we come back,
and he actually has hooked us up with everything that
we need, just in charge of all of the tourist
and making sure we are straight.

Speaker 14 (35:09):
We are good.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
We're not very high maintenance. But when Jay yeah, Ayana,
Commissioner Joe anything that we need, it's taking care of
before we even think of it.

Speaker 10 (35:20):
Yeah, yeah, Like.

Speaker 3 (35:21):
I'm like, dang, how did y'all know we was gonna
need this? So I appreciate all of the hospitality last
year we were here. This year we are broadcasting live
from Carnival. We're at the Governor's house mansion should I
say mansion. This is a governess, this is a mansions,
definitely a man. We're at the Governor's mansion, and so
I can see us just escalating, escalating, every single every
single track. We're doing it all. We're gonna be at

(35:43):
Carnival tomorrow. Today we'll be at the village. There's a
lot of activities going on, but Commissioner Joe is going
to break it down for all of you guys, if
you want to visit. He is the person that's going
to be the one that make sure you have the
time of your life. And he's going to tell you
how when we come back, its way up.

Speaker 7 (35:58):
You are a media man, right, You never know what
Andre's gonna say.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
What's up? Its way up? At Angela yee lie from
the USBI, from Saint Thomas, from Carnival, Mano's here, Jasmine
brand is here right, and the man, the myth, the legend,
Commissioner Joe is here with us.

Speaker 6 (36:15):
Love that intro Angel made it all happen.

Speaker 3 (36:17):
No, honestly, can we talk about what Commissioner Joe just
made happen?

Speaker 5 (36:21):
Yes, Man, I found my family, found my uncle.

Speaker 7 (36:24):
I was telling them when we first met that at
angela y day, that I had family in the virginalities,
and I knew that the name was a name that
stood out Ingerman.

Speaker 3 (36:34):
Okay, And the.

Speaker 7 (36:35):
First thing he said, he said, I know Ingerman, I
know John Ingerman, And come to find out today that
that's my uncle, it's my grandfather's son, that's.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
My mother's Yeah, this is such a big day. It's
like a homecoming for you.

Speaker 9 (36:45):
It is.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
Yeah, And it feels like I'm not gonna lie this
Carnival feels you all have got some of the biggest
entertainers coming out here. So can you just talk about
what Carnival twenty twenty five here and Saint Thomas has
meant so far to you just being a commissioner.

Speaker 13 (37:00):
Yeah, it's been great from a commissioner standpoint, and as
a person born and raised in Saint Thomas, it's been spectacular,
just to have the opportunity to go out see the
friends for a long time. I know John Ingerman for
a very long time. And it was interesting when you
mentioned it and I was like, I because the name
wasn't a name that was fired.

Speaker 10 (37:17):
I was like, I know.

Speaker 13 (37:18):
And then you come down and then you turn out
it's like it's your uncles, right, And then back to
the village. I think how that all ties in is
when I walk around the village, I see people I
haven't seen in decades.

Speaker 6 (37:27):
Everyone knows you too, yeah, and they like you.

Speaker 10 (37:31):
Yeah yeah, yeah.

Speaker 13 (37:33):
So so it's it's always great when you move around
and you see that, and didn't you have the opportunity
to see the smiles of people's faces.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
So last night was a big night for me because
I'm a shava. Yeah, so I enjoyed.

Speaker 13 (37:45):
I enjoyed Shava Ranks last night and uh yeah, exactly
all the songs, and you know, I was talking to
people afterwards, and what people kept telling me is like, man,
I didn't know had all of those songs because he
kept singing these songs and the songs.

Speaker 7 (37:56):
He hit yea, how Shabo was and how his movement
was just so crazy. At one point, right, yeah, so
that was great.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
And then of course you know we had Keess legend Hello, Hello, Hello, exactly,
you got it.

Speaker 13 (38:11):
And I think one of the things with Chess a
minute you are entertaining, you know, part of his his brand,
right Jasmine plan, is that he makes you feel like
he's singing to you first of all, right, exactly, so
people love him.

Speaker 3 (38:25):
And I think as we you know, move into the
night and tomorrow, you know, we try to bring the right.

Speaker 10 (38:30):
Combination of act.

Speaker 13 (38:31):
So we want people that are in their sixties to
feel and reminisce, and at the same time, we don't
want to lose people that are sixteen. Yeah, we want
them to come out because the culture lives and transforms
between generations.

Speaker 9 (38:44):
You know.

Speaker 3 (38:44):
I noticed that too. That was one of the things
I pointed out, right, is that it's odd talk about
that this morning THEATA and so you see people coming
out that's like in their seventies eighties, having a time
of their lives. But then you see babies, and just
to wrap this up, this is a real family theme.
Just like we said this same time as Carnival has
felt like family. Even when I'm seeing the artists come
on stage, I see pressure of us pipes, just really

(39:06):
being able to talk to people like this is his family,
not just a performance, but also a connection. I saw
a Beanie man hit that stage and it was like, look,
I want to address something with y'all that's been going
on in the news about my daughter. Just seeing people
feel like this is a space where they feel comfortable
enough and connected enough, and it's respectful and it's love.
It's like home and it's it's and Mano's got his
uncle now. Just with that theme a family. So we

(39:29):
thank you so much, Commissioner Joe for always having us
when you come to New York. You know, we try
to reciprocate that favor. Well, we appreciate it here in
the US value You got a home.

Speaker 10 (39:37):
You definitely got home.

Speaker 13 (39:38):
Now we want to make sure that that any time
you come with or without Carnival, know what I was saying,
festival or Saint John celebration, you come, enjoy yourself and
I'll tell you when you go out, enjoy and if
you get into trouble, you know, say govern to Brian.

Speaker 10 (39:59):
Just just keep it more, make a call, let us know,
and then you know.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
Lastly, I just want to just thank you for all
you do for the USBI.

Speaker 10 (40:10):
I'm telling you when I move around.

Speaker 13 (40:11):
The States and people are like, yeah, I hit a
USBI and Angela show up. Oh nice, that's great and
it's generational.

Speaker 3 (40:17):
Thank you so much, Commissioned Joe. We got to get
back to carnival things. When we come back. We have
your Friday last where before it turns up? Follow us.
It's way up.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
Take up the phone, tappying to get your voice heard.

Speaker 9 (40:29):
What the word is?

Speaker 10 (40:30):
Here's the last word on way up with Angela?

Speaker 3 (40:33):
Ye, what's up is way up with Angela?

Speaker 9 (40:35):

Speaker 3 (40:35):

come do last where, but that's.

Speaker 5 (40:40):

he's nowhere eating all the food and we are in
the same Thomas. We're in the US Virgin Islands. We
are having a great time. We had a great show
with you guys today. Jason, you want to say happy
birthday to somebody?

Speaker 4 (40:53):
Yes, I want to say happy birthday to my friend
Chantelle her Son Jayden Johnson.

Speaker 6 (40:57):
He's in Detroit. He's turning fourteen on single to Miles,
So fourteen is a big age, So happy birthday, Jac.

Speaker 3 (41:02):
He'll be at Carnival soon. But honestly, thank you to
everybody for coming through DJ whatever. You got your roots here,
Mano found his Yeah, this is a big deal. I
feel really happy about this too.
