Speaker 1 (00:00):
I called her, yee, yeah, it's way up with antilogy.
I'm here and it is a Thursday, the Thursday before
iHeart Festival, because that's going down this weekend in Las Vegas. Now,
in case you didn't know, I wasn't here, and I
know there's a lot to catch up on.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
I've been in Paris for the last week.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
I was out there for Jennifer William's wedding with Christian
and a lot to talk about with that, So we'll
do that and about last night. But I am glad
to be back. Mano is on the way and he
hit me up yesterday like, Yo, what are we doing
because there is so much we need to talk about,
you know, all this Diddy business that's happening and Diddy

(00:44):
being and jail in Brooklyn and MDC, where actually I've
visited before with my girl Topeka Sam. We went to
go and speak to people there. But we will discuss
what we know so far, and also we want to
get your reactions to today.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
So let's do what we need to do what we
always do.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Start the show off with some love, with some positivity,
because I know I say we need it, but I
mean we really needed today. Eight hundred and two nine
two fifty one fifty Call us up, let us know
who you want to shine a light on.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
It's way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
I'm shine, I'm shine.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Turn your lights on, y'all kind of light. So it
spreading love to those who are doing greatness.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Shine a light on, Shine a light on.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
It's time to shine a light on it's way up
at the Angela yee.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
And it is a Thursday, and I want to shine
a light today on my friend Jennifer Jennifer Williams. I
told you, guys, I was at her wedding in Paris,
which by the way, was amazing. I never would have
gone and spent that time that I did in Paris.
I stayed a couple of days after just to be
able to have some time to sight see and do
some touristy things.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
But I know it wasn't an easy time for her.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
She had this vision of what she wanted her wedding
to be like in Paris, and when I tell you
she was rolling with the punches, I mean things were
just kind of not going according to plan left and right,
and somebody else might have been like, this isn't it.
It's not happening, but she definitely held it down. You know,
we got a chance to see their nuptials in the

(02:11):
park and afterwards she definitely was out and about. So
there was all different activities. We went to party, she
was outside, we went to brunch. We did it all
while we were outside in Paris. And so that's the
kind of woman that I think any God would want
to have somebody who is ride or die for you,
no matter what the problems are. I know it has
to be bothering her to see the things that people
are saying online that they're accusing her of, that they're

(02:33):
accusing him of. But of course I'm gonna go to
support my friend, and so that's what we did. So
shout out to you, Jennifer for taking a chance. I
am wishing the best for this couple and hope that
everything is going to be a dream come true for
both of you. All Right, Well, who do you guys
want to spread some love to? Who do you want
to shine a light on? Eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty is a number, Jasmin, Who do you

(02:55):
want to shine a light on?

Speaker 5 (02:57):
My seventh year old boy.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Okay, talk to us.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
He has adhd and it's hard to him to get accepted.
And here it is. He stepped out his boundaries and
started working. And even though it might be difficult for him,
I'm proud of him.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Oh what's he been doing? What type of work?

Speaker 5 (03:16):
He's working with lumber and staining wood and paints and stains.
So he's learning. And I'm just happy that he's just
not gonna be this little boy and he's learning how
to be a man because of his time.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Okay, all right, well I love it. What's shout out
to him and shout out to you. I know that's
not easy for you either, So I'm glad to see
that he's doing productive things and it feels good.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Yes, thank you, thank you, Jasmine. Thanks for all right. Well,
that was shine a light.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
And when we come back, we have your YI te
and we got to start it off with some Diddy information.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
We'll tell you what updates we have so far.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
We'll also tell you what an insider has to say
about comparing Diddy to Jeffrey Epstein and why he said it.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
It's way up at Angela. Yigee is next, they says
in the rooms.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
From industry shade to all of gossip out send Angelas
is speeling that et all right.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
His way up with Angela, yee, I'm here with your yet.
And of course we are talking about Ditty again.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Now.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Diddy was initially deny bail after he was arrested on
racketeering and sex trafficking charges, and then they went in
to try to get that appealed and give it another shot,
and he is not going to get out on bail.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
They denied that as well.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
He appeared in front of the judge to ask again
for his release as they're preparing for trial, and that
has been turned down. Now, I just want to point
out that according to TMZ, they did find a pink
powder that tested positive for ecstasy, and that was among
multiple drugs they found in Ditty's hotel room when he
was arrested, and he knew he was going to be
turning himself in.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
They negotiated that.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
So the judge said, I don't know that I think
you can trust yourself, and I don't believe that counsel
has the ability to control you, given the very significant
concerns I have, particularly because of substance abuse and what
seems like anger issues. All right, now, here is what
Diddy's lawyer Mark Agnafailo had to say, they're.

Speaker 6 (05:05):
Going to have to accommodate me for him and give
us a quick trial. He's ready, he's focused, nothing has
changed from his perspective. I obviously would much prefer to
fight this case with him out of jail, and we
are going to try to bring that about through additional
legal process.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
He believes is innocent.

Speaker 6 (05:25):
I believe he's innocent, and we're going to fight this
case with all of our might, and we are considering
our next steps and appealing the courts' only for today.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
All right, so he will be at the Metropolitan Detention Center.
And I did see that there was also a former
MDC Brooklyn warden who is saying that his life is
in danger there and that it's a notorious federal detention facility.
It's in Brooklyn, and you know, they're saying that there's
a lot of fights there. He'll have limited access to

(05:55):
the library and to the phone, and there's a lot
of assaults. So he is being held in a special
housing unit away from the general population. Another person who
spoke out recently is Shine Now Seane was talking with
the media and Belieze and they asked him about his
thoughts about Ditty's arrest, because remember, hey, ma, no, Sean
went to jail because of that nineteen ninety nine club

(06:16):
shooting that it turns out Diddy was responsible for. And
here is what Seine had to say. While he was speaking,
I was.

Speaker 7 (06:23):
Defending him, and he turned the wrong and called witnesses
to testify against me, and he contributed, he pretty much
sent me to prison. Yes, I forgive, I moved on,
but let us not pretend this is someone that destroyed
my life. What do I take any joy or any
satisfaction with what he is going through? Absolutely not?

Speaker 1 (06:47):
All right, so Shine saying he doesn't have any satisfaction
even though did he got him sent to jail.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
And he took a charage for Didty unwittingly. All right.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Another report that came out the New York Post, a
federal law enforcement source connected to the raid on Puffy's
Miami home in March of twenty twenty four is speaking
out about what was there, and he said that Diddy
had sex rooms at his mansion and these rooms were
filled with sex toys, bondage gear, and lingerie with hitting
cameras installed in various places that people wouldn't have been
able to see. He said, if you were in those

(07:18):
sex parties, you were being recorded from every possible angle,
including angles you wouldn't have known about.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
And they said when Diddy wasn't involved.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
In the freak go offs, he would watch them remotely
via the hitting cameras on his phone, sometimes casting it
onto a TV in another part of the house, and
I guess masturbating to it. Ditty's also accused of hiring
and transporting sex workers across state lines and internationally for
those sex parties, which would sometimes last for days if
you recall and the reports. They were saying that he

(07:45):
would give people the IV drip because they would be
so dehydrated, and then I guess send them on their way.
And as I said, they found one thousand bottles of
baby oil and lubricant as well. Now there are some people, though,
who are defending Ditty. One of them was trending right
now is Faize on Love. Here's what he said.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
I'm confused the Cassie didn't understand.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
I think you should definitely lock it up, but I
don't understand how.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Being nasty been a federal crime.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
Now listen, I want to respond to this because I
see there's various people.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Defending I don't think he defended him.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Well, he's being nasty as a crime, but this is
more than just being nasty.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
This is not just being nasty.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
This is also I think another one of the issues
is he was threatening people allegedly and then also filming people.
People were getting drugged and doing things not to their
knowledge allegedly.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Well, Cassie, I think, Cassie.

Speaker 8 (08:43):
But here's my thing, and I don't know how much
time I got, but my thing is this, I do
not take everything that the federal government is alleged on
face value.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
My experience is different.

Speaker 8 (08:52):
I got fans, I got friends and family members who
been in the system.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
It's in the system right now, I go to the jail.

Speaker 8 (08:58):
I'm very much involved in these cases where they allege
certain things that are absolutely not true.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
This is a fact, this is a part of their tap.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
But what about the alleged victims who are coming for it, like.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
You gotta get we gotta get to that. Though.

Speaker 8 (09:12):
I'm just saying all I'm not defending nobody. I'm just
speaking from a standpoint of a person that had to
fight for his life to get his brother back because
you know, they like to overrate and exaggerate people's charges,
and this has been going on since the beginning of
the time when it comes to the federal government. So
I don't just take everything that they're saying on face

(09:33):
value because I stand in a different place. I got
friends right now, right now who lives on the line
behind things that they saying that they did that they
didn't do.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
All right, But we'll talk about that more, because I
think when it comes to the bail and why he
didn't get bail, that's the real conversation here. Why would
he not have been granted bail. Some people think he
should have been, but some people also feel like it's
a risk. He's accused of blowing up people's cars, and
Kit Cutty came forward and said that as well. You
know Dahmer Shard, you know, he's been accused of locking
her in the car where she had to call her

(10:03):
father with no door handles inside of the car.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
There's a lot of moving.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Parts and people who were directly speaking on their experiences.
But we'll talk about it. We have about last night
when we come back. Eight hundred two ninety two fifty
one fifty. If you want to call and leave a
message in way in. We'll play that too.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
So about last.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
Night, Yes, I went.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Down what's up his way up at Angela?

Speaker 2 (10:28):
Ye, I'm here. Meno's here, Yeah, so glad you're here.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
I'm back.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
We are going at it because we were talking about
Diddy behind the scenes and you have your own experience,
you know, with the Feds and things, the games like
you said that they play.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
Yeah, they play dirty games.

Speaker 8 (10:43):
All I'm just saying is that I'm not just quick
to just believe everything that they allege.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
But some things's not definite, but some things you feel.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
Like you do believe some things.

Speaker 8 (10:54):
Okay, the Cassie thing, we understand that that it is
what it is, right, we know we know that right.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
But all I'm.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Saying, which is crazy because if we hadn't seen that video,
people still wouldn't have believed her. And that's terrible because
think of how many videos and things we had, and
allegedly they do have a ton of videos.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
So I don't know what's on those, right.

Speaker 8 (11:10):
We don't know what's on it. So I'm not in
defense and nobody. I'm not speaking in defense of nobody.
All I'm saying is that I know how those federal
indictments work. I know that they allege things that aren't
always true, and they overrate things, they exaggerate things, and
they spend things and create narratives of you. They knock
on your door four thirty in morning, take you down downtown,
lock you up, and tell you that you were a

(11:32):
part of a gang that you've never even been in, right,
and then have these narratives of you because they create
their cases while you're not even looking.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Yeah, I mean, the thing I think with this situation
is if you believe one thing, that's enough for you
to have to.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
But that's the crime. That's the thing.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
So it can't be like, well, if all say there's
a hundred things that they're saying you did, right, if
one of them is true, that's still a crime.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
Okay, cool. But but here's the thing.

Speaker 8 (11:56):
Systematically they set out, they set they set the state
for you to already believe that somebody is guilty. So
they when they dismantle man in the media a by
putting out information and videos like that, So now you're
already like, oh, he did it, well, everything he did everything.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
I think the problem is also that he denied it
until the tape came out.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
There was no accountability. He was like no, no, he
was like, Okay.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
I get that he was a monster. I get that.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
And there's a lot of people who were very close
to him at a certain point in time, and people
who have been speaking out for decades, you know, and
like we've seen all the Gene deal interviews, we know
that rbo Day has been talking about this for quite
some time. So it is all going to play out.
But his bill was denied. This was supposed to be
about last night. I was going to talk about Jennifer's wedding,

(12:39):
but I guess we'll have a chance to talk about that.
But this is such a big topic that we want
you guys to weigh in and see what your thoughts
are on Diddy. I never ever take joy in anybody's downfall,
but I also am very empathetic towards people who's potentially
lives have been affected ruined permanently by this, and that
is something that means a lot to me. And I

(13:00):
know how hard it is as a woman to come
forward and talk about things that have happened to you
because you get judged.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
People don't believe you.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
You know, like I said, people were in doubt of
Cassie until that tape came out. But I want to
see what you guys think. Eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty. We're all speculating right now. It's way
up at Angela yee.

Speaker 8 (13:18):
Ye ye ye ye ye yee.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Is what you're all being waiting for.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
Oh oh, you're tapped in the way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
All right, it's way up at Angela yee.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
I'm here and Mano's here, No, man yeah, and we're
talking about Diddy.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
We want to hear your thoughts.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
I'm sitting here going through the fourteenth page indictment again
with Mane, but we want to hear what you think
about what you know so far. Mayno's argument is about
the FEDS and how sometimes a lot of times they'll
twist things and they'll overinflate things. We want to know
what you think though. Eight hundred two nine fifty one fifty. Jeff,
what are your thoughts on Diddy?

Speaker 5 (13:50):
Well?

Speaker 9 (13:50):
I do agree with Maino. The FES do advocate the
story and as far as the media which plays with
the said, they were make charges look extra So now
the society have the wrong picture of a guy. I've
known people social slot years will been put in prison
for stuff that they didn't do, all because they didn't

(14:11):
testify against somebody. He gets charged for a murder or
for a body and it's been going on for years.
So I don't believe everything they said about Dibbie. I'm
pretty sure you're guilty of some stuff. But one question
the fans has computers since March. Why is he the
only one getting indicted? And I'm pretty sure is a
whole lot of the celebrity.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
I know that they're questioning other people and I also
and so that's not to say that there won't be
more coming, but I will also say that everybody on
the tape is not going to be people who should
be accused of Some of them are victims. Also, some
people allegedly from what they're saying, we're drugged and were
extorted and.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Maybe against their will.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
And then that can be used for you to be like, Okay,
if you want to say something, we'll put this tape
out and look what you're doing.

Speaker 10 (14:54):
That's true, that's true.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
So I don't want to jump to the conclusion because
that has to be right. This horrifying for a person
if that happened to them, you know, to then say
you're you're in the wrong when you're a victim. So
I think they have to go through all of that.
But they are talking to people and getting statements.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
Okay, right, we're not jump to no conclusions. We gotta
let the information play out.

Speaker 8 (15:16):
And I don't think and especially from where I stand,
this is not for me speaking on the witnesses or
what their testimony is or how they feel. What I'm
just saying the tells and the fabric creatication that the
FEDS put on things to help tample with the presumption
and innocence behind anybody, especially a public figure. This has
been done for a lot of time.

Speaker 9 (15:37):
Yeah, yeah, I do agree with that.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
Okay, well, thank you for calling.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
I have to say, it also feels like people weren't
necessarily surprised because they were always all these rumors about
you know, quote unquote ditty parties, and so when this
is happening, it's not like, oh my god, I don't
believe it. People believed it because they've heard so many stories.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Hey Kiki, okay, how are you.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
I'm good, and.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
What are your thoughts about this Diddy situation.

Speaker 11 (16:01):
I really felt like he did it and I and
I told her, I'll agree with you because I was
a woman in that situation.

Speaker 5 (16:07):
What no one believed me.

Speaker 9 (16:08):
Until the evidence stacks up.

Speaker 5 (16:10):
So you know us as we as women, you know,
it's hard of the food that if something has happened
to until they see the evident.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
Right, and a lot of times people won't see it.
It's between the whoever was there, and if one person
saying one thing and another person saying another, then you
know there.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
I feel like there's been people like rb O day.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
I tell her she made a statement, and she said
she feels validated and that things are finally changing and
that she never thought this day would come. And so
that's somebody that's been talking since, you know, two thousand
and eight exactly.

Speaker 11 (16:41):
And it goes to show money can't move everything.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
Kiki.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
I'm glad that you were able to get some type
of justice as well for whatever your situation was.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Thank you, Thank you, all right, thank you. Hey Raphael,
what are your thoughts about Diddy?

Speaker 11 (16:56):
I mean, honestly, the bail, I'm sorry you got drugs
in the room. Your your attorney's negotiated it and you
still messed up, like no, man, like it's ridiculous. It's
not just he's dangerous, he's stupid.

Speaker 5 (17:09):
Right.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
The judge was like, I don't even know if you
can help yourself if you're still doing that knowing that. Okay,
all right, so you're saying no bail and let it
play out that way. You'll have your trial. See what
happens then, But you shouldn't be home.

Speaker 12 (17:21):
Did is not like the rest of us.

Speaker 11 (17:22):
So you know, Mayo talking about the federal government, he's
got a whole team of employees.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
And what does that mean.

Speaker 11 (17:29):
It means like he's a rich person and he has
a justice system that ain't the sing no.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
No, okay, he has more access to SMaL access.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Does that mean that he's a flight risk?

Speaker 1 (17:38):
I think the other problem is threatening people, because you
saw they said that he he called times and then it.

Speaker 8 (17:45):
Seem like so so the fact that he surrendered his
passport and all his kids' passports.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
That means nothing.

Speaker 8 (17:51):
And then the federal government then put an ankle ankle bracelet
on you, I think monitor on you.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
So I think that denial bill was more about him
intimidating people. Yeah, all right, well again this is your show,
so I do definitely want people to weigh in and look,
me and Mayo. We can agree on some things, we
can disagree on certain points, and that's fine. That's what
this is all about because we come from where we
come from. I have a different yeah, you know, for me,

(18:16):
like being a woman, for you having to deal with
the FEDS and people close to you and the fedes.
I understand your point of view. I'm looking at this
case in particular from my point of view too. Got
it all right, Well, listen, we have yet when we
come back, and you know what, let's keep it going.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Quincy was on Lift Service.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
That episode came out on Tuesday, which was crazy timing
because we did this interview like a couple of weeks ago.
But he's talking about the status of his relationship with
his father. I'll be sure will tell you what he
had to say. It's way up at Angela.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Yea, yo, she's about to blow the lid aboff this spot.
Let's get it. Angela's feeling that.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Ye te come and get the tea, all right, it's
way up at the Angela.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Yeah, I'm here, and Mayo's here is so irritated by us. Today.
Let's get to some yet, all right.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
So Quincy was on lip Service and again for clarity,
we did this interview a couple of weeks ago, and
lip Server comes out every Tuesday, and so this was
the episode that came out on Tuesday. But Quincy talked
about a lot of different things, including what is his
relationship right now with his father, his biological father.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
I'll be sure.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
They were just at the White House where that brunch
was happening the other day. They ran into each other
after we did it. They didn't come to No, I
don't think they went together. They both were. It was
a huge media event. Jasmine Brand was there.

Speaker 10 (19:29):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
But here's what he had to say about his relationship
with his dad.

Speaker 13 (19:34):
I just talked to him a couple days ago. He
was congratulating me on the album. I think we got
a just a cool relationship. He tends to like try
and do like the dad thing a lot, but it's
like that's not really where we're at in life, like
we homies.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
You know.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
And he had written a letter Dad when he was
seventeen years old. He had written him an open letter,
which we talked about on the show, where he basically
was saying that he would always want a father. Diddy
had been the father figure in his life for as
long as he could remember, and that's who he looks
up to and appreciates as a father. But he said
he used to always feel like, where is my dad,

(20:10):
you know, my real dad, and he couldn't understand his
absence in his life. Well, here's what he had to
say about why he wrote that letter.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
He was like, what do you mean you haven't spoken
to him?

Speaker 13 (20:19):
And I was like, well, I'm trying to figure out
the best way to do. So he introduced me almost
to like the way and to get your feelings out there.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Can tell your own narrative exactly.

Speaker 13 (20:28):
But it was just something I just wanted to just
get off my chest and let people know because people
always is you look just like your daddy. So it's like,
you know, if he ain't even got no real life, yeah,
relationship with him, and you hearing that every bread here,
you're just like, okay, okay.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
And I'm sure glad that he made that reconnection for
both of them, because if you remember, I'll be sure
was hospitalized for two months back in July of twenty
twenty two. He was in a coma and he had
to get a new liver, and so, you know, you
always sometimes I think would have some type of regrets,
like we didn't have these conversations and things like that.
Now here's what he has to say about protecting his sisters,

(21:04):
because that's important to him too, because he considers obviously
those are his you know sisters, the twins. Yeah, those
are yeah, those are his real yah, yeah, those are
his sisters.

Speaker 13 (21:15):
I've been happy a lot, but I feel like when
you continue your life and you almost like checking to
these new chapters and you know, allowing everything to happen,
you got to like check in with yourself to like
really see is what you're doing making you happy or
still making you happy? Because everything got his time, even
with like what you're doing, not just people, you know.
So that's also too, something where I'm like really trying

(21:37):
to listen to my gut because I got little sisters
to protect, to give advice.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
And you know, he also had recently posted a picture
where his other little sister love the little baby. Yeah,
so that's also obviously you know, his sister too, and
Chance would also be his sister by those affiliations. But yeah,
he even talked about Love in the interview and how
much she means to him and being able to host
that that video.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
Tough situation to be in.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
They did show up to court too, all of the sun, yeah,
to support Diddy, all right, And Kevin Lyles is stepping
down as three hundred Entertainment CEO. People were also speculating
about that, but I feel like he already has sold
the exactly he already had sold the company. And to
be clear, we see everything that's happening at Warner Music,

(22:23):
people exiting, everybody.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
Yeah, everybody changing the golf.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
Yeah, So it just was the timing of the announcement people.
It has nothing to do with that. Julie Greenwald has
announced that she was leaving and that's all because of
new people coming in as the CEO.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Yeah, yep.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
And well at some point yeah right, yeah, did you
know that?

Speaker 2 (22:48):
Is he?

Speaker 5 (22:49):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (22:50):
All right?

Speaker 1 (22:50):
Well anyway, yeah, so all of that is happening. So
for everybody with that type of speculation, it has nothing
to do with this. It's just really something that is
in the works because of this. And he also is
still staying on for the next year to help the
new team transition in all right. Well, that is your
Yet when we come back, we have under the radar.
These are the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines.
They're flying under the radar. We'll talk about the Federal Reserve.

(23:13):
They have just cut interest rates. What does that mean
for you?

Speaker 4 (23:16):
It's way up newsition the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
It's way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here, manos here
no maya. All right, now, let's get into these under
the radar stories. The Federal Reserve has now cut its
benchmark rate by a half a percentage point, that's fifty
basis points, and they had a two day meeting on Wednesday.
So for people, this means relief from high borrowing costs,
particularly mortgages. Credit cards and auto loans also may be

(23:46):
on the way. Now, I do want to say when mortgages,
a lot of times those rates go down based on
the prediction of what's going to happen. So it may
not affect it right away, but it has led to
a lot of people saying, let me go ahead and
refinance my loan. And so the federal funds rate is
now at a range of four point seventy five percent
to five percent, and there were so many rate hikes

(24:08):
that started in March of twenty twenty two. It really
had made people stop buying homes for a period of
time because people didn't want to sell it because they
would have to sell it for less because the interest
rates were so much higher. And then people didn't want
to buy because they didn't want to commit to those
high interest rates. All right, So it'll be interesting to
see where that goes, because according to some financial experts,
they believe another cut is on the way before the

(24:30):
end of the year. A lot of people were sitting
tight to wait and see what happens. They didn't want
to sell and they didn't want to buy at this point.
But it does affect the average person when it comes
to credit cards. Most credit cards do have a variable rate,
so there's a direct connection to what happens with the
Federal Reserve, and so going forward, annual percentage rates will
start to come down, but even then it's only going

(24:51):
to be easing off of extremely high levels. So it
was higher than it normally ever has been. My interest
rate is three point twenty five percent in my mortgage
and I don't know when we'll get back to that point.
But it makes such a big difference in your monthly payments,
all right. Now, Instagram has posed new restrictions for teenagers,
and the question is will they work. There are mandatory

(25:13):
accounts for teens that bolster privacy protection. So new and
existing users under the age of eighteen will be automatically
enrolled in teen accounts. And that is because you're talking
about excessive social media could pose a profound risk to
the mental health of children. So there's been a lot
of pressure to try to make sure there's some type
of regulation for children and teenagers.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
So we'll see. So this will be automatic, Yeah, this
is automatic.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
If you are under eighteen, you will automatically be enrolled
in a teen account. And so this was all announced
by Adam Mussuri, the head of Instagram, in a live
interview on Good Morning America, and that's going to address
the concerns. He said that they've heard from parents about
teens on leads to access. So within sixty days, your
existing teen account will switch over. Now, yes, Dan, you're right,

(25:59):
people could just about their age. But if your parents
are allowing you to have it, it's up to them, right, But.

Speaker 8 (26:04):
Your parents got to be on it. It's like my daughter,
she's twelve years old, like, we got to be on him.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
Yeah, and you can see what she's saying on their
period and be like, no, you are a teenager. You
should have a teen account. All right, Well that is
you're under the radar. Now we do have the way
up mix at the top.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
Of the hour. We got a lot to discuss too.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
I didn't even talk about this wedding that I went
to in Paris. Jennifer Williams from Basketball Wise, and we'll
talk about it. It's way up. She's like the talk
like they Angela Jean, like they Angela Jean.

Speaker 4 (26:33):
Man, she's spilling it all.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
This is yee t way up, all right, it's way
up at Angela yee I'm here, maynos here.

Speaker 12 (26:43):
Man.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
It looks like the Secret Service is now probing Elon
Musk about his threat. Well, Eli mus posted about threats
to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Now, if you recall
what happened, somebody said why they want to kill Donald Trump?
And Elon Musk responded and no one is even trying
to fascinate Biden Kamala And then he added question marks
after that, and he later deleted the posts after people

(27:06):
were like, it's you know your it feels like you're
trying to influence people to you know, come after Biden
and Harris. So the Secret Service is now investigating. The
agency responded to the request by saying records it has
about must postper compiled for law enforcement purposes and are
being withheld because disclosure could reasonably be expected to interfere
with enforcement proceedings.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
So they are aware of the social media post.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Maybe nothing's going to happen, but the Secret Service does
take those things pretty seriously, all right. Wendy Williams, Guardian
is suing A and E Networks over the documentary. They
said it was exploitative, exploitative, So how you say exploitative?
It was exploitative And people obtained these documents confirming that
Sabrina Morrissey, who is the Guardian, is now suing and

(27:51):
they said she only got eighty two thousand dollars for
this documentary.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
Where is Wendy Williams? Who was she to Wendy the Guardian?

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Why?

Speaker 1 (27:59):
Well is she No, she's the appointed Guardian. I mean
that's what they do when they feel like you're not
able to write.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
But is it usually like a family member or something
like that.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
Not always, because sometimes people feel like family members don't
have your best interest at heart either.

Speaker 3 (28:15):
A business partner of us.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
No, she was appointed to be the guardian a lot
of times.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
How that worked like just some strange person that I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
Yeah, they're saying that she is suffering from dementia and.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
That's why they need somebody to make sure.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
Let's put it down there. If I would get dementia,
I want you to be in charge.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
No problem.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
I'll be in charge of all of your estates, but
not all your affairs because there's too many.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
All right.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
Cardi B Is upset about a non payment law student.
She posted her receipts. I love when you have receipts
that you can post. So apparently she rented out this
Airbnb and they were doing that to go ahead and
shoot a music video of her. An offset and the
owner of the property said that they lied about their
plarents for filming plant filming at the mansion. They said
they were doing a TikTok, But then she had all

(29:04):
kinds of of.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
Proof that that's not what happened.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
She paid ten thousand dollars and it was not like
they got a special deal or discount for that, all right,
young thug trial witness insists that he would die if
he has to testify. That's a witness that was supposed
to take the stand. Apparently he was feeling so sick,
he was hospitalized, was on heavy medication, and he said
that taking the stand to testify could kill him, and

(29:31):
so the But according to the prosecutor, the lead prosecutor said,
the witnesses doctor said he is sick but fit to
take the stand, and they said they'll have a medical
team on standby. That's crazy that you're like hospitalized.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
Right, just waiting for you to just pass out.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
All right.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
And in some amazing news, Stevie Wonder has announced ten
performances this October. Tickets go on sale tomorrow Friday at
twelve pm. I got try to get those tickets because
I know my mom would be so excited.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Her birthday is September twenty sixth.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
You're gonna surprised with it.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
I would love to, but I don't know how difficult
this is going to be. All Right, well, this is
the singor song. I shouldn't even mention this on the
air because now more people are going to know about
it and get tickets, and then I'm not going to
be able to sing your song as we fix our
nation's broken heart. So he announced Pittsburgh, New York, Philly, Baltimore, Greensboro, Atlanta, Detroit, Milwaukee, Minneapolis,

(30:27):
and Grand Rapids. And if y'all don't know, Stevie Wanda
did come out with some new music, right, we have
that all right posting? Oh man, that was can we
fix our nations broken heart?

Speaker 3 (30:40):
We have too, Yeah, let's.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
All come together right here.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
Ah, that is your yet and when we come back,
we do have ask ye eight hundred two nine fifty
one fifty is the number any question you have. I'm
here with the award winning advice giving May know we're
going to help you out. But right now, let's hear
the song Kilini from Jordan at Atenji, who is also,
by the way, going to be performing at Powerhouse.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
It's way up, Okay, everybody since whether it's relationship or
career advice, Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
This is as key what's up his way up? At Angela?

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Yee, I'm here with the award winning thiksgiver winning May
and we have a voice message. You know, I was
gone for like a week, and so now I'm back.
And we have some people that left questions for ask
ye and here's one of them.

Speaker 12 (31:28):
My girl, sister and her son moved in. Two weeks
after we moved into our spot. Let us stay for
a week. The day keeps on getting termed like longer
and longer and longer. So I went from a week
now damn near three months. MESSI is hell, don't put
it down to no bills, and now we'll be here
bumping heads, me and my girl because of this situation.
So my prom the trip and they keep putting the

(31:49):
date back, all.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
Right, so break it down. His girl's sister and their
son moves.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
Girl and him moved into an apartment.

Speaker 8 (31:57):
Right two weeks later, her sister, his girls, sister and
her son moved in. They were supposed to only been
staying for what a week, and now it turned into
three months.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
She's ridiculous.

Speaker 8 (32:07):
It's gonna help herun apartment. She got condoms laying everywhere.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
Like nobody said all that, But I do think, and
this is the danger of letting somebody come and stay
at your house.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
They never leave when they're supposed to leave. Trust me.
I know.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
I've had people who were supposed to stay at my
house for a month and ended up really no, I
don't know because if that comes in too many.

Speaker 8 (32:29):
That's a bad situation. Because you love your girl and
this is your girl's sister and her son. Now they
may not have nowhere to go, but they you, like, man,
they got to get.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
Out of it.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
Sometimes you feel like you enable people to when you
allow them to stay. Let me tell you what I
had to do with one person who would not leave.
I had to actually help them find a place. And
sometimes it wasn't doing it on it they were not
trying to leave. Not only did I help find a place,
but I had to like negota, help negotiate the price
and everything. But I was like, you have to be
very firm and look, you have to leave. By this time,

(32:59):
I've found some places. You know you should go check
this out. Here are some listings for you to go
and look at. And whatever situation. If we can help
you with moving, I'll get the crew together. We'll move
your stuff out. But you can't stay here any longer.
It's affecting us. And if they care about you at all,
in any way. They have to figure that out. And
even if you have to help with a down payment

(33:19):
or whatever, that's her sister. She should do that for
peace of mind at home.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
Well, she don't have it to help out.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
I mean, listen, we'll figure it out.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
It's not but it's also not her responsibility to have
her sister living there with her and you, because it's
not just about her. It's one thing if they're living
with just her, But now this is encroaching on your
relationship and it's not fair. And if you said two
weeks and now it's been three months and you're still
not making no moves, you have to be really firm.
This cannot go on any longer. The first of the month,

(33:48):
let's start looking at it. I need to see you
looking at places. I need to know that you have
a plan.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
Lord's moving exactly.

Speaker 8 (33:54):
Let me come over for a week, just a week
a week.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
The good thing is I have a rental. I'll throw
you right downstairs and that rental. All right, Well that
was ask yee. I know that sounded mean, but I've
had my own traumatic experiences.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
What happens, It's happened to me with a couple of people.

Speaker 12 (34:11):
You can't.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
And that's why I don't let people stay with me anymore.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
It don't happen probably all right, Well eight hundred two
nine fifty fifty. If you can't get through, you can
leave a message and will take your call that way.
And when we come back, I want to talk about
this wedding that I went to a lot of different
wedding etiquette. I spent some time in Paris. I was
there for like a week, and I've known.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
That I wasn't invited.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
It's crazy, but we'll talk about it. There were a
lot of pivots. It's way up at Angela.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
Yee.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
Turnu you way up with Angela. Yee more Now.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
It's way up at Angela.

Speaker 11 (34:43):
Yee.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
I'm here. Mayno's here, no Maya now may No.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
I had to leave you for a few days and
go to Paris to go to a wedding. Jennifer Williams
she was married in Paris. That that was her dream
to have her wedding in Paris. Had her and Christian
and she had several of and looks. Her wedding dress
is beautiful. Wasn't white though, it was like a blush
pink color.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
I showed you a picture of it.

Speaker 3 (35:07):
Yeah, but that's how she wanted it.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
Yeah, that's what the dress that she wanted.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
Everybody else had on black.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
Yes, we all were told to wear black.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
So the issue was that I guess there was some
problems because and this is not a secret, but her
now husband was having issues whether or not he would
be able to travel.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
He had to have like go to court.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
You have to get permission and get permission, and the
judge did grant him permission, but he does have to
do I think like fifteen days. So he went to
jail for two days and then he was released to
come and go to the wedding and then he has.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
To report back.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
Yes, oh wow.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
But I think there were some issues on whether or
not he would be able to make it, and so
there he in jail.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
Now I'm not sure.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
I don't know if this Jennifer was still in Paris
when I left, and I just got back last night,
so I don't know if she left yesterday or if
she's still there. But I just want to say it
was a beautiful experience to travel and go and have
some time in Paris.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
I don't get to do that too often.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
I actually have not had like a real vacation in
a long time, and so I know I was there
for a reason, but I was able to like sleep
in fun.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
I did have some fun. It's a six hour time different.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
So right now in Paris it's seven thirty three. And yeah,
in Paris, I will say, is definitely the shopping capital
of the world.

Speaker 3 (36:22):
Yea.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
When I tell you there's so many Chanel stores, it's like,
I'm like, where are all these channel stores coming from?
Like within a short distance. It'd be like twelve. I
didn't blow a bag out there. I have properties I
have to deal with. Unfortunately, I was like, I need
to go back. And then the euro is worth more
than the dollar, so you know, you pay for things

(36:43):
in euros there and their's is like one point one
to every dollar. Oh no, our dollar is one point
one to every euro, and so that means that their
money is worth a little more than ours. But the
good thing is we don't have to pay taxes. So
when you leave, you have to like fill out these
forms and then they give you back the money as
either a credit or you can request cash and get
your money back that way.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
But it's a beautiful wedding. Do you think about your
dream wedding?

Speaker 3 (37:08):
May no, hello, excuse me? What happened?

Speaker 1 (37:10):
You just zoned out? Do you think about your dream?
Do you think about your dream?

Speaker 3 (37:13):
Yes, you know what I've been thinking about this soul.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
I'm going to say something crazy.

Speaker 8 (37:19):
Really, I'm really really you know going, I'm putting it
together right now.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
What is your dream wedding? How many women would people?

Speaker 3 (37:28):
We can't be talking? Why we used to talk?

Speaker 5 (37:32):
You know?

Speaker 3 (37:32):
For real?

Speaker 1 (37:33):
So where would your dream wedding be? Would it be
a destination or a home destination? Weddings are tough because
there were a lot of last minute changes that had
to happen. And I feel like if you're home, it's easier,
but when you're away. And also I don't speak French.
I was trying to use my little translated thing. I
was like, I feel like I'm a ninety day fiance.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
I want I want my wedding to be like a parade. Okay,
like a moving wedding.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
Oh so you want people to just like march in
the street for your wedding like a parade.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
And then what.

Speaker 8 (38:02):
That's it? Just like a it's like a race, yeah,
like the celebration.

Speaker 3 (38:07):
Me and my couple of.

Speaker 1 (38:09):
Your wife, okay, your wife's but anyway, maybe next year
for Maino Day, we can have a wedding for you.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
Yeah, I just got it. I see you, Dan, what
about your dream wedding?

Speaker 1 (38:20):
And I don't know that I've ever had a dream wedding.
I never really thought about it. I don't know if
I would want to have like a big wedding, have
no wedding at all. I feel like it's maybe I
would be different later, but I feel like it's not
that important. I would actually rather take the money that
one would spend on a wedding and buy a property.

Speaker 8 (38:36):
You look like you want to go get it, go
to the Justice of Piece, but you get married in
Vegas and come back married one day.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
I would and just come back I have a toilet
paper on my head and be like, come on, we
did it.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
Guess what, guys, I got married?

Speaker 3 (38:50):
All right?

Speaker 1 (38:50):
Well, that was what my last week was, like, it's
a lot more to come from that, but we'll be
following what's happening with Jennifer. I saw a lot of
people in the comments negative things to say. I know
that was affecting her because it was a period of
time when I was like, why does my friend look
so unhappy looking? But I think after that everything, you know,
I guess if you really love somebody, you can just

(39:11):
cancel out all the noise. Yeah, because anybody who married you,
I know they're gonna give that girl a hard time.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
Wow, I'm a good guy.

Speaker 2 (39:20):
That's what they're gonna say.

Speaker 3 (39:21):
Why they all right?

Speaker 2 (39:24):
Well, well when we come back, we have last word.

Speaker 1 (39:27):
That's where you guys get to chime in on everything
we talked about on the show and give your last
word is way up?

Speaker 4 (39:32):
Pick up the phone, get your voice heard.

Speaker 2 (39:36):
What the word is the last word on Way Up
with Angela?

Speaker 5 (39:40):
Ye?

Speaker 2 (39:41):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (39:41):
His?

Speaker 2 (39:41):
Way Up with Angela? Yee. I'm here, my guy, Nana
is here. I was gone for a week.

Speaker 3 (39:45):
I missed you. I was like, I cannot wife was
different without coming up here.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
I'll sell you outside every night, dressed up everywhere. May're
not gonna put put it on. Now you're gonna put
some on, ain't you.

Speaker 3 (39:57):
