The Oval. He filed this lawsuit against Tyler Perry, saying
they met back in twenty nineteen at an event. He
said Tyler Perry picked him out from the crowd as

thinking he's going to get more roles and get more

in one in particular, one he says that Tyler Perry

And twenty five years later, man, we're still going strong,
still got projects coming out, and it's a it's a

me credit for having foresight, but I didn't. So the
people who have this plan to be in the c
suite and to make that rise are already thirty two

And so I think a lot of times, when people
look at your life story, especially when you write something
like a memoir.

They can mistakenly believe you were as enlightened then as

And one of the things I'm passionate about on my
work with authenticity is I'm gonna tell you the story
the way it happened, because if I give you the.

Cleaned up version and it doesn't match where you are feeling.

At that stage, you will dismiss thinking it's possible for you.

So myth bus number one, it wasn't all that clear.

you're ahead of where I am.

But the second part of your question, which is the
magic or the secret sauce, I would say, you know,
the book has.

Four core killers.

One of those is ancestry is anchored.

And I have talked many times about the household I
grew up in, my daddy that was disappointed that I
wasn't president, and all of these things. But I would
tell you that the propellant for this idea of not
having a plan to get to those places but ending
up in a lot of those places was based in
living in a household and existing within a family that

literally believed that was nothing I could not do.

my honest answer. And I'll tell you why I am
sitting here having the opportunity, over the course of my
life to hear these people.

The stories were way too perfect for me to believe
that I could do what they did to get to.

Where they are.

They didn't tell a story that had the flaws that
I know that I had as a human. And I
remember I would sit in those rooms and I said,
if I ever had that level of agency, I will
tell the story the way it happened, not for me,
but for the fourteen Caroline sitting in a room listening
to me, who need to know that what you read
in chapter twenty is not where I was when I
was in the chapter two that you're in.

So I'm gonna tell you what I was doing in chapter.

Two, so you don't dismiss how to get through chapter
two because you think I was only a chapter twenty.
So this book is not about a legacy. This book
is about dismantling the idea that you only tell the
stories of how you live life through the lens of
triumphs and being honest about the trial. So every human
being believes that with all that they are, good, bad, ugly,
the steps that are present here are possible for them.

And I have a major trigger point with this book
when I encounter people where they tell me all the
reasons why I'm the only person that's going to happen to.

Well, you owned a business. No, I did not own none,
the business of worked there.

the humanness that is true about me and while I
made it here.

The whole point of this book is I've been afraid
since I was born.

I've never not moved.

I just haven't moved in the way I wanted to
or moved in the way that I needed to.

And at some point in.

Time in my life, multiple times, I'm offered the opportunity
to atone with myself on the decisions that I made
that felt best at the time. And at the point
that you have the opportunity to do that, those that
want to continue to pursue narratives of behavior maybe that
you've atoned for or things that didn't happen, or haterism
or pick a.

Thing, they're never going to change their mind. I had
to change mind, but I.

Had to liberate myself so that the two girls out
of twenty need this story don't not get it. Because
of the twenty that want to hate, and that is
what I am walking literally every minute of every day
since this book came out. It's why page one fifty
nine is in there. So this book is about bringing
you to invite yourself to be your best self, to purpose.
And the last chapter is called take Notes, Do it Better,

and it is a page and a half chapter. And
the call at the end of that chapter is write
your purpose down, because everybody will get to the maximum
of what they're supposed to do in the world if
they can go the journey of understanding their purpose and
activate it loudly. So that page one is the most
important page in this book because it's the point at

going first and telling the honest story so that they'll

But I also love the idea of not being stagnant,
because sometimes we can get a little nervous or make
ourselves shrink into a space where we know we should
be way greater than that, and we have the ability
to do that. So I just love the way that
you've grown Wanda Women into what it is today. And
even as somebody who is not trained in speech, like
you said, and going out and talking from your heart

and not having anything scripted, I think that speaks volumes
to people more than anything else.

these allegations. Derek Diton is talking about being in bodies
to Tyler Perry's home in Atlanta and going for networking purposes,
thinking he's going to get more roles and get more
out of it, and his allegations. You know, there's a
few different times that he says he went there, but
in one in particular, one he says that Tyler Perry
yank down underwear groped his button, said relax and just

let it happen. And then there were some text messages
that he put out.

So all the text messages yesterday and it does not

who's his attorney, said, this is an individual who got
close to Tyler Perry for what now appears to be
nothing more than setting up a scam. But Tyler will
not be shaken down, and we are confident these fabricated
claims of harassment will fail. Yes, and so that's the response.
We're going to see what happens from this.

heard him say he was also sober hed. I was like,
you know what, may pick less of wine and I

working in conjunction, holistic, but making sure you still go

to the doctor. I saw you at the doctor recently,
tech nine, just making sure your cholesterols right, everything else
is right. But it's always worth it to try, you know,
these holistic approaches as well in conjunction. Okay, I'm looking

Caroline Wanga. You may know her as the CEO of
Essen's Ventures, but we want to tell you she is
also the author of I'm.

And after a fifteen year career at Target, starting as
an intern, working her way to the.

C suite, and they found her Wanga woman.

And when we talk about all that, starting in Minnesota,
starting in Africa, a lot of people tried to do
what you have done. They started out as immigrants, what
have you? They set their career path, didn't quite get there.

What is your secret? Sauce?
Speaker 9 (38:01):
So here's where I'll start. I thank you for giving
me credit for having foresight, but I didn't. So the
people who have this plan to be in the c
suite and to make that rise are already thirty two
steps of.
Speaker 12 (38:11):
More head than I was.
Speaker 9 (38:12):
And so I think a lot of times, when people
look at your life story, especially when you write something
like a memoir.
Speaker 10 (38:17):
They can mistakenly believe you were as enlightened then as
you are now.
Speaker 2 (38:22):
As you reflect on it.
Speaker 9 (38:23):
And one of the things I'm passionate about on my
work with authenticity is I'm gonna tell you the story
the way it happened, because if I give you the.
Speaker 10 (38:28):
Cleaned up version and it doesn't match where you are feeling.
Speaker 12 (38:31):
At that stage, you will dismiss thinking it's possible for you.
Speaker 10 (38:35):
So myth bus number one, it wasn't all that clear.
Speaker 12 (38:37):
So if you already have a plan to be there,
you're ahead of where I am.
Speaker 9 (38:40):
But the second part of your question, which is the
magic or the secret sauce, I would say, you know,
the book has.
Speaker 10 (38:46):
Four core killers.
Speaker 12 (38:47):
One of those is ancestry is anchored.
Speaker 9 (38:49):
And I have talked many times about the household I
grew up in, my daddy that was disappointed that I
wasn't president, and all of these things. But I would
tell you that the propellant for this idea of not
having a plan to get to those places but ending
up in a lot of those places was based in
living in a household and existing within a family that
(39:10):
literally believed that was nothing I could not do.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
Yes, it's a Wealth Wednesday with Stacy Tisdell and we

legacy of this book to be.

I don't want this book to be a legacy, is
my honest answer. And I'll tell you why I am
sitting here having the opportunity, over the course of my
life to hear these people.
Speaker 12 (39:32):
That inspire me to be my best self.
Speaker 9 (39:34):
The stories were way too perfect for me to believe
that I could do what they did to get to.
Speaker 12 (39:39):
Where they are.
Speaker 9 (39:40):
They didn't tell a story that had the flaws that
I know that I had as a human. And I
remember I would sit in those rooms and I said,
if I ever had that level of agency, I will
tell the story the way it happened, not for me,
but for the fourteen Caroline sitting in a room listening
to me, who need to know that what you read
in chapter twenty is not where I was when I
was in the chapter two that you're in.
Speaker 10 (40:01):
So I'm gonna tell you what I was doing in chapter.
Speaker 9 (40:03):
Two, so you don't dismiss how to get through chapter
two because you think I was only a chapter twenty.
So this book is not about a legacy. This book
is about dismantling the idea that you only tell the
stories of how you live life through the lens of
triumphs and being honest about the trial. So every human
being believes that with all that they are, good, bad, ugly,
the steps that are present here are possible for them.
(40:26):
And I have a major trigger point with this book
when I encounter people where they tell me all the
reasons why I'm the only person that's going to happen to.
Speaker 10 (40:32):
Well, you owned a business. No, I did not own none,
the business of worked there.
Speaker 12 (40:35):
Well, it's because you're this, It's because stop dismissing, right
the humanness that is true about me and while I
made it here.
Speaker 9 (40:43):
Now, if you're afraid to confront your own humanness to
go on this journey, say that, but don't make up
excuses for why I'm the only person that could happen to.

The whole point of this book is I've been afraid
since I was born.

I've never not moved.
Speaker 12 (41:31):
I just haven't moved in the way I wanted to
or moved in the way that I needed to.
Speaker 10 (41:35):
And at some point in.
Speaker 9 (41:36):
Time in my life, multiple times, I'm offered the opportunity
to atone with myself on the decisions that I made
that felt best at the time. And at the point
that you have the opportunity to do that, those that
want to continue to pursue narratives of behavior maybe that
you've atoned for or things that didn't happen, or haterism
or pick a.
Speaker 12 (41:52):
Thing, they're never going to change their mind. I had
to change mind, but I.
Speaker 9 (41:57):
Had to liberate myself so that the two girls out
of twenty need this story don't not get it. Because
of the twenty that want to hate, and that is
what I am walking literally every minute of every day
since this book came out. It's why page one fifty
nine is in there. So this book is about bringing
you to invite yourself to be your best self, to purpose.
And the last chapter is called take Notes, Do it Better,
(42:19):
and it is a page and a half chapter. And
the call at the end of that chapter is write
your purpose down, because everybody will get to the maximum
of what they're supposed to do in the world if
they can go the journey of understanding their purpose and
activate it loudly. So that page one is the most
important page in this book because it's the point at

which I give you the scary shaking baton to say,
so on you boob.

What would you guys say people should take from this

I am off for the setting goals and having a
map to get to those goals.

I love that.

But I also love the idea of not being stagnant,
because sometimes we can get a little nervous or make
ourselves shrink into a space where we know we should
be way greater than that, and we have the ability
to do that. So I just love the way that
you've grown Wanda Women into what it is today. And
even as somebody who is not trained in speech, like
you said, and going out and talking from your heart

and not having anything scripted, I think that speaks volumes
to people more than anything else.
